Gulf Crest Condo Trip
Came down from Chicago to visit my parents who were renting a gorgeous unit on the 15th floor. The views and sounds of the surf from the spacious balcony were incredible. I enjoyed the fitness center, the pool, and the hot tub immensely. The whole condo and facilities are impeccably clean. I will definitely be back.
Good times!
Clean, spacious, and friendly staff We were sent instructions for after hours arrival. There was an option for preregistration as well. Good parking. 2 large pools and hot tubs ! Office staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our unit, entry hall and balcony were well maintained. Wonderful experience for sure.
Returning guest
We love the place and have returned many times. Staff is great rooms are clean people are friendly. No complaints……. Maintenance and cleaning staff are fantastic............…. We'll continue to come here in the future. We've come just as a couple and with family too.
Best condo in PCB
I look forward every year to my vacation to Gulfcrest. The view is breathtaking, the staff is always pleasant and friendly and awesome to work with and the condos are very clean. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone visiting the Panama City Beach area.

Gulfcrest # 2007
This is our 4th year to stay at the Gulfcrest Condos. We stayed in room # 2007 this year & it was absolutely beautiful! Loved sitting on the balcony at night & and watching the beautiful sunsets & marine life. The staff were very helpful and nice! We can't wait until next year!!!
Best vaca ever
As always, gulf crest does not disappoint! This is our 4th year and not our last. Always clean and so well maintained. This is definetly our happy place. Stayed in different condos and every one has been top notch. Staff is so friendly and always willing to help in any way possible. You will not be disappointed staying here.
Best place on the beach!
Gulf Crest is awesome! Best, most welcoming staff on the beach. Location is great! We always feel at home here. We have stayed here several times, and hope to many many more. Any time we visit other condos, there never compare to Gulf Crest. Highly recommended!
Perfect location! Great home away from home
Gulf Crest has been a very nice place to spend our vacation! The condo was very nice and decorated very well, it has all the accommodations of home. Pool area was very clean and from there we had easy access to the ocean. This is our 4th year here and we will definitely be back!

Wonderful experience
Right place for families. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our condo 1002 was perfect and very very clean. This is our second year here and it won't be the last. Friends were made first day. Elevators worked great. Parking very convenient. Loved the place.
Paradise Found
my husband grew up near Lake Michigan. Before we met, he was in the military and spent over a year in Thailand and in California, nearly three years, We, ve been to Florida several times, but he never seemed to relax and enjoy it fully until we visited Gulf Crest Condominiums in April 2024. This was his review. " This was the most relaxing week I have enjoyed in my 78 years. The front office staff treated us like family. The room was immaculate, comfortably furnished, and well set for every need. The beach and pools were perfect for a relaxed time in the sun or a the ideal set up for swimming laps in the pools. The residence building and connected parking decks were well thought out and served by elevators designed with service and safety in mind. And in today's world, it was a delight to see the entire maintenance, security, and guest service staff doing their work with a smile, seemingly with no one looking over their shoulder, and taking pride in the results. Although there was no need, the only thing I missed was meeting the owners and manager who have set an enviable standard. We walked out wishing we did not have other obligations and could comfortably afford to move our family and friends to this delightful venue. "
Wonderful winter stay
Gulf crest Condominiums in PCB are the greatest. Large roomy balconies are the largest in Panama City Beach. The front desk staff are professional, courteous and always have a smile and a wave for you. We have been coming to Gulf Crest for 9 years and would never go anywhere else. Condos are very well decorated with comfortable beds. Highly recommend for Snow birds and families.
The best place to stay in PCB!
The units are very large and the balconies are the biggest on the Beach! The staff is friendly and helpful. This is our 8th year and we wouldn't think of going anywhere else! It is well maintained, has 2 pools and 2 hot tubs. There's a fun tiki bar poolside. It has everything you need for a fabulous holiday!
Golf crest is a great place to get away for a while. We come down for the month of March
Nice and clean condo. Friendly people, we will be back. This is our third year. We have not had any problems at all. The beach is real nice and clean. We love sitting out on the deck. We love watching all of the people. It is close to lots of restaurants and stores.
Heavenly
Gulf Crest Condominium is well managed with very friendly staff. The views are awesome and the unit is so comfortable and spacious. The decks are absolutely amazing and we've enjoyed many beautiful sunsets and meals and dolphin watching. We have everything we need to enjoy our 6 weeks here and look forward to coming again next year.
Everything we want in a home away from home
We are just finishing our NINTH long term rental at Gulf Crest Condominiums and Resort in Panama City Beach. We are snowbirds and always happy to come back to this roomy well designed unit which has extra wide balconies and a plan that sits horizontally to the beautiful Gulf of Mexico for a floor to celling view across the main room & dining area. Hot tub, heated pool and easy access to the pristine white beach are things that bring us back again and again. For us it is an ideal location. It is about 7 miles from Pier Park which means the beach is much less crowded and the traffic much is less, but easy to get there if you want to go. It is a short drive to the Hathaway bridge which leads to Panama City and close to St. Andrews State Park. The staff, including the manager and front desk staff, maintenance and security are unfailingly friendly, courteous, and helpful. Gulf Crest gives us everything we want in a rental and friends in other buildings and locations admire our good fortune in finding it.
Wonderful Stay
This is the first time we stayed at this resort and we are very impressed!!! The wall of windows in the condo have unbelievable views of the gulf and sunsets. from the front you can see the sunrise over the west bay and lagoon. The resort is spotless and very well kept. Even the dog area is clean. We feel very safe here. We always see the security walking around. The full gates are high and you need a code to get in. The staff is so nice and accommodating.
GULF CREST CONDO # 2201
This condo is terrible. The owners are obviously harvesting their investment without putting a single penny back into it. The condo was filthy, the furniture is falling apart. There are patio door exits out of all three bedrooms. It has a wrap around balcony. None of them have locks. Now, on the 22nd floor I would not be worried about someone breaking in, but I would sure worry about children being able to open the door and be on the very high balcony unsupervised. Definitely a safety issue. The roof leaks when it rains. The beds are worn and uncomfortable. Very shabby condo and certainly not worth the money. The view is amazing, stunning, but that is the only good thing about the condo.

Awesome management, well cared for property, right on the sand, beautiful snowbird location in winter 2 pools and 2 hot tubs and parking garage. Our two bed two bath has plenty of room with a full balcony across the whole front with plenty furniture
Gulf crest Panama City Beach
This is our forth time coming here for the month of November. The office staff was very pleasant, the accommodations were spectacular, the security guards were very friendly and was a very family oriented place to stay to stay.

Gulf Crest is a great family oriented place to stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is well maintained and the unit is very nice. Easy access to the beach and hot tub and heated pool. It is very quiet in the evenings with beautiful sunsets. Security is very good and Security people are very friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great vacation.
Great place
We have been coming here for last 5 years. We've loved it each time we've come. Nice clean units with everything we need, security is around 24 hours a day, so it's very safe. We will keep coming back as long as we can.

Gulf Crest vacation
Gulf Crest has been our yearly pick for our family vacation. From the gated community, pools, hot tubs, cleanliness, employees, parking Condo views. I highly recommend staying here. You won't be disappointed.
Extremely pleased
The unit is very well furnished with all of the items to make our stay as normal as possible. Beds were very comfortable. The attached parking garage makes getting to your car very convenient and safe.
Gulfcrest Condos
We have stayed at the gulfcrest Condo's for the past three years we absolutely love it. We have stayed in a two bedroom # 1104 and a three bedroom # 1907! Condos were very clean. It is a family friendly condo has a fun game room. It has two large pools that are also clean. The condo is directly on the the beach ! Staff is very helpful and nice. We plan on coming back every year.
Awesome!!
Our third year to come to Gulf Crest. We have rented two units and both are awesome. They are always very clean and the balconies are roomy and have a perfect view of the beautiful ocean and coastline of Panama City. The staff have always been very helpful if needed.
Fun in Florida
The room is very spacious and very comfortable with all amenities including the beach and outdoor activities that are available to guests and family members who want to see the best of the beaches in Florida.
Great place to stay on Panama beach
The Gulf view was great. The condo was spacious. Had everythimg you need to cook meals. The staff was very helpful. It was very clean around the pool and around the grounds. The elevators were very quick to get you to your floors.
Good place to spend time at the beach
The condo was very nice. Veiw was great. Staff was courteous and friendly. Designated parking for up to 2 vehicles. Parking clearance 7 feet 6 inches. Did have a few spots for oversized parking. Accommodations were great. Would visit again.
Family vacation
Gulf crest condominium have been a great spot for a family vacation. My kids are nine and six and we have loved being able to walk right out to the two large pools. The pool water is warm. The pools are large enough to throw a water ball back and forth. The beach has been great as well.
Wonderful family vacation
This condo is absolutely beautiful. Ours was a 3 bedroom on the 19th floor. The master bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was newly remodeled and beautiful. I highly recommend staying here and definitely will be back. Thanks for a wonderful vacation Gulf Crest.
Gulf Crest Condominiums are excellent place to stay!!
Our visit was only a tad disappointing due to the weather. Gulf Crest Condo staff were amazing and always had a smile on their faces willing to help in anyway. They shared a couple packets of sugar even 😊. Our condo was clean and the entire facilities were maintained very well. We would definitely stay here again! Loved the tiki bar😁😁
Horrible Beds in both bedrooms, and the kids bunk area was not usable!
Gulf Crest Condominiums unit # 205. The condo was nasty, mold on the kitchen sink faucet and sprayer, the inside of the lower cabinets were filthy. The coffee pot had what looked like mold in it also. I cleaned all this with Clorox. But the absolute worst was that the beds in both the master and guest room and the kids bunks in the wall, were all completely worn out! The master bedroom had a topper on the mattress, which did not help. You still sunk down to the box springs and it threw you to the center of the bed. The guest bedroom was only 20 " off the floor and the headboard was not properly attached. Everytime you moved the headboard banged against the wall. The maintenance crew added pillows behind the headboard to keep it from making noise and brought a 2 " foam mattress topper to get us up off the floor. The bunk beds had no cushion top and were straight up springs with urine stains. The kids could not even use them. They had to sleep with their mom on the crappy master bed. Also maintenance brought a second mattress topper for the master bedroom bed as well to try and make the bed as comfortable as possible for our stay. The rental manager called the owners and told them the mattresses needed replacing and they flat out refused! They stated they had visited two weeks prior to our reservation and there was nothing wrong with the beds. Gulf Crest is giving us back part of our stay because they agreed the beds were not quality. This condo is listed for sale for 739, 900 by it's owners. They are thieves! They charge right at 3, 800.00 for a weeks stay, and lie about the condos bed quality. We left a day early to spend the night in Lagrange so I could get a full night's rest before driving home. Unit # 205 was decorated lovely but what's the point when you can't sleep because of worn out mattresses?
Highly recommend!!!
Gulf Crest never disappoints. This is our 5th stay. It's located away from all the crowds. Condos are all nice and well furnished with everything you need. Lots of restaurants near by. Gulf Crest has 2 big pools and 2 hot tubs for your enjoyment and never crowded.
Timeless Fun
This place is the BEST! I have traveled here for over ten years_ beginning as a child with my family, and now as an adult bringing my own kids. EXCELLENT resort. Clean, staff is available _ but not over bearing, rooms are spacious. Top notch.

We love this place
We love the gulf crest it is so beautiful and the view is so pretty and and the rooms are large and it is very peaceful and the Balcony is so big and the gulf crest is the best and the rooms are so pretty and we love the decorations are a making and the pools are so big and the hot tubs are so nice and the people is so kind and we love the litter bar and the land slap is amazing and the janitors keep the elevators and the room so so clean and the kitchen are so so clean and we love the food at the little bar and the maintenance are so so good and we have nothing agent the gulf crest and we love the gulf crest so so much!!! And we love the fish tank at the front desk and the art is so so good!! And the staffs are so so kind and we love the gulf crest so so much and it is so relaxing and we love that the staffs use the their brans and just make it so so homey for the guests and make us fill so so comfortable at the amazing gulf crest!!

Wonderful girls trip
Great condominium for a family vacation. Courtney and her staff were excellent to work and communicate with during our visit. Condo number 505 was beautifully updated and very clean. Elevators were very efficient and ventilated. Gulfcrest grounds overall were a 5 star for cleanliness. Quick and easy access to the beach. We have stayed at Gulfcrest numerous times and will continue our tradition.

Location is excellent. Checkin was very easy. Staff great. No issues. I felt it was a great value considering cost and location. Nothing negative to say. Kids enjoyed the pool. Some items in our condo could use an update but for the cost I would reccomend.
Relaxing and restful
The views are amazing. Everything we needed was in the condo, all ammenedies. Very comfortable mattresses. Very decorative in sea shore style but not overdone. Nice selection of novels. Very, very clean. Maintenence man was amazing.
Seven years and counting. No complaints
This is our seventh winter at Gulf Crest. We love it here! The staff is attentive, the grounds are clean and well maintained. We have looked at other sites in PCB and are so happy to be here for many reasons. When the snow and temperature are falling in Minnesota, we are sunning on the beach, relaxing on our 40' wide balcony or at the pool in Florida. Life is good at our home away from home, Gulf Crest Condominiums in PCB!
Great place to stay!
We love this condo! Clean and comfortable. Fast elevators and nice beach access. Rooms are spacious and well stocked. Staff friendly as well! Only downfall is the proximity to Newbys on the weekends can cause more noise in the back bedroom. But if you are high enough up it's not that bad. Would only be an issue if you are a light sleeper.
DO NOT book Gulf Crest 0305 (Emerald Coast Destinations)
My girlfriend and I stayed at Gulf Crest 0305 from 8 / 21 / 21 to 8 / 28 / 21, this was my first trip to Panama City Beach. I was very impressed with the beach and the location of the condo. We had a hard time finding the condo since the reservation confirmation emails provided the incorrect address of 8743 Thomas Drive. The condo itself was on the 3rd floor and I was able to park on the 3rd floor in the parking garage with a breezeway to the condo, that was nice. Once everything was unloaded from our car and in the condo, we, like most began to check out the condo. My girlfriend is immunocompromised, so we check for cleanliness etc. As well as do our own cleaning before using counters, tubs, beds etc. The kitchen did not have hot water. We immediately contacted Emerald Coast Destinations about this, and they stated that someone would be sent right out. We were satisfied with that response and continued looking at the condo. Inside of the silverware drawers and cabinets were dirty and very worn. The cabinet doors were dusty, and the oven was filthy. The cabinet above the microwave was full of dust and black mold. There was some dirt on the floor near the stove. After seeing the kitchen, we went to the master bedroom after pulling the sheets off the master bed to wash them ourselves we discovered what appeared to be blood spots on the mattress pad. Looking further the mattress was stained to the point that it looked like a small animal was slaughtered on it. This bed was completely unusable. In both bathrooms the shower curtains had black mold on them. The master bath was the worst of the 2 so we opted to both use the other bathroom. Dust on all the towel and toilet paper holders as well as ceiling fans. All the vents in the condo looked like the dust has been there for years. I'm surprised the AC works at all with the amount of dust that was on the vents and the dust that was in the room with the heat pump. The dining room table had not been cleaned at all; it even had some sand on it after we cleaned it the rag was brown. After walking across the floor with no shoes in 10 minutes, my feet were black. We were not able to take our shoes off in the condo because of this. There was mold in some other areas of the condo as well. After all this we again called Emerald Coast Destinations, had to leave a message. We did not get a return call so at this point (10:40 pm) we decided to send them an email with pictures attached. Still no maintenance to fix the hot water in the kitchen. On 8 / 22 / 21 we received a call back at 9:19am they stated that they would contact maintenance again about the hot water, change the shower curtains and the mattress pad but they could not change the mattress without owners' approval. We told them to get the owners approval because at this point that bed could not be used and we were not getting what we paid for. On 8 / 23 / 21 we had not gotten anything fixed, nor did we have anyone contact us about the issues we were having so we called again at 9:00am, 2:02pm, 4:18pm, 4:20pm, and again at 5:36pm. Still no call backs and no reply to our email. On 8 / 24 / 21 we called again at 6:25pm, left another message and again no phone call back. On 8 / 25 / 21 we got another call back from Sara, she went through all our issues with us, came to the condo to see for herself (we supplied a face mask for her). After speaking with her she stated that she would replace the shower curtains, and the mattress. When the company showed up to deliver the mattress, we also supplied them with face masks to wear. Later that evening Paula called us and stated she would have the floors cleaned the following day. She also stated that the cleaning fee would be reimbursed because of the issues. I have yet to get this reimbursement and it has been almost a week. As stated, Sara called us on 8 / 26 / 21 and stated she would be there to clean our floors and wanted to set up a time to do it. So, we were able to use and somewhat enjoy our condo for 2 nights and 1 full day. This was far from what we paid for. We made sure to reserve a condo that had the master bedroom with the gulf view, 2 useable bathrooms. We paid for cleanliness. As I mentioned my girlfriend is immunocompromised, and I feel that the state of this condo could have put her life at risk with the condition that it was. We paid to for what was advertised " This beautiful gulf front unit has over 1300 square feet with the living room, dining room and master bedroom all facing the gulf! The huge 40 foot long balcony overlooks both pools. The interior is professionally decorated and fully equipped for your vacation getaway. " We were not able to use most of our condo, we could have paid a lot less and got a clean 1 bed / 1 bath if we would have known the condition of this condo that is what we would have done. Maybe we would not have had to deal with all this during a time that should have been relaxing and peaceful for us. This condo was not fit for anyone to stay in.
Best vacation
Gulf Crest is an amazing vacation spot. Our group comes every year and this is our first year. We love it. We'll be back next year! Our condo was very well maintained and beautifully decorated. Hall vacation
Absolutely beautiful condo. Comfortable and clean. My grandfather is in a wheelchair and with all the space it's been easy to get him around. The staff is awesome and such a big help! Thanks golf crest condominiums.
Summer 2019
This was the best vacation I've ever had. Our room was top of the line with a beautiful open concept. The room came equipped with everything we needed for our family vacation. We have been coming to Gulf Crest for years and will continue to do so for years to come!
Anual Family Beach Trip
Great view of beach, ocean, close to the pier for fishing, restaurants are within a few minutes drive and stores for your needs, wants. My family had a good time and will stay at Gulf Crest again next year.

This is a great place for a family vacation there are two pools two hot tubs a kiddie pool a tiki bar a walkway to the beach and a parking garage. This is my first time staying here oh there's also a game room and a fitness room. I will stay here again.
Vacation pcb 2019
I have stayed here almost every time I visit PCB and love it. I would rate them 5 stars every time. They rooms have an amazing view and theyre so nice. The parking garage is very convenient as well as the elevator in the parking garage. There are gates so people not staying here shouldnt be able to wonder up. There are two pools and two hot tubs witch is great. Also the kiddie pool is perfect for my one year old and the tiki bar is great for my husband or if you want to grab a quick drink or snack at the pool or on the way to the beach. There is a walkway straight to the beach and showers are provided at the gate of the pool to help rinse the sand off. I absolutely love it and will definitely stay here again.

Awesome place to stay. We have stayed here 2 years in a row.. We will stay here again. Our condo on the 5th floor was beautiful! It had everything we needed to enjoy our week here. Great atmosphere! The staff is very friendly and people that stay in the condos are pleasant to talk to.

Awesome Condo. Million Dollar views. Great views from the wrap around balcony. Friendly helpful staff. Family of 7. Accommodated all of us very well. The grounds and condo were clean. Seen a dolphin first day. Horseshoe crab, sting ray second day. Beautiful Birds. Pools and hot tubs were refreshing. Barbeque smells were free. Fireworks amazing. We will definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Gulf Crest is one of the premier condominium complexes in Panama City Beach. We stayed on 11th floor and had a view second to none. The entire place is immaculately clean, well maintained, beautiful grounds and has a very thoughtful staff. Security is on hand in this gated community and helps everyone have a safe vacation. There is a snack bar on the pool deck that serves icy beverages and great food. I highly recommend Gulf Crest!

Great condo, great complex
We've rented several times at gulf Crest. We've really enjoyed the beach and all the units we've rented over the years. Great location and really nice pools and beach access. Love the balcony from the room. Highly recommended. Will come again.
Gulf condo 19th floor
Very awesome views and the people are very hospitable. Beach is very clean!Loved the rooms and kitchen is very big and easy to find things. Big living room and the kids loved the bunk beds. We will definately come here again in the future.
Fun in the sun

Great location
Great place for our family. We've been coming here for three years now and always have a great experience. Ocean views are beautiful, balconies are large and quiet. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The grounds and pool area are always clean and well kept. The tiki bar has more food and drink options than you would think. Parking is convenient and the property is gated. Highly recommended place for a family getaway!

Summer trip 2018
Nice big clean room. Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. My room was ground floor by the pool yet never heard any noise. The price was very reasonable for the size of the rooms. Will definitely stay here again.
Best condo in PCB!!
We love this condo and the office staff. The heated pool is great and parking is never a problem. The balconies and the views are better than most condos on the whole beach. The 3 bedrooms have spectacular views from every room and the 2 bedrooms have a great layout!
Condo 1903 - Felt like home
We stayed in 1903 and it was very comfortable and well-appointed. It is decorated in a way that is not over the top like a lot of condos in the area. We really felt at home. The condo has an amazing balcony and a lot of space throughout. Kitchen has everything you would possibly need and was spotless. The bed was comfortable and the view of the gulf in the morning started the day off right. Everything was working and in great condition. Great parking and beach access is ideal. Although convenient to great restaurants and activities, it was very quiet and relaxing. A fantastic value.
Best two week vacation ever
My family and I stayed in unit 2003 that was rented to us by Eileen Meyer. Condo was beautiful very clean and well kept. spectacular views of the gulf. Plenty of space for my family of five. Gulf crest resort is very clean and the staff are very friendly. There is a small tiki bar at the resort by the two pools it was a great place to enjoy a few mixed drinks. I will recommend Mrs Meyers to my friends and family who are planning future trips to PCB. Mrs Meyers prices are very affordable and she is very friendly. Best experience ever renting a condo. Will definitely be back in the future.
Jon Caldwell (Emerald Coast Destinations Inc) should not get away with this!
We rented (2307) Jan / Feb / 13. through the Jon Caldwell. Words cannot accurately describe what we found. FILTH, furniture falling apart, Beds unfit for an animal, mold in the bath tub area & etc. I will include photos of some of it. (the battery on my camera died, unfortunately. I trustingly (FOOLISHLY) paid upfront. Would you not think the wife of a retired police officer would be wiser than that. It was an expensive lesson. WE WERE UNABLE TO EVEN STAY. The staff at the Gulf Crest are Great! We arrived on a Sun. afternoon. The office was closed, but fortunately for us, a custodian saw our plight (3 tired seniors, 1 handicapped, a dog and a car full of luggage) called the manager, who came in, and showed us a unit (801) which had just had a cancellation. It was beautiful! Of course it was another rental fee. But we could at least find a clean place to sit and sleep. The common areas and facilities at the Gulf Crest are well kept and very nice. It is too bad Jon Caldwell manages several units in the building. To be sure of a nicer unit rent through the condo management. Catherine & John Abbey
Wonderful Vacation at Gulf Crest
My family just returned from a week's vacation at Panama City Beach, Florida. I reviewed many condo's for price and location and decided to go with Gulf Crest. I was delighted with my decision when we arrived. We were on the 12th floor in a two bedroom condo with beautiful interior design and a wonderful view of the Gulf. We will definately be staying there again. The only slight inconvenience was the elevators being down in the parking deck but I'm sure they will be up and running upon our return. I would recommend these condo's to anyone going to Panama City who wants a " family oriented " place to stay without the noise and traffic associated with staying on the strip in Panama City.
Like being in jail !!!
If you are planning on having an enjoyable stay please choose somewhere else ! This is a no fun zone and not a place to take your family. The entire trip we were constantly told we couldn't do anything. There are constantly security guards who are completely rude ! Completely ruined my vacation. Until now we were very loyal guest and we will NEVER be staying here again.
Fun time, easy to rent
Gulf Crest was great. Fiance and I rented a 2BR on the ground floor with another couple we've known for years. The condo was great: our room was huge, and the king-size bed was overkill. Didn't use the TV much but it worked well. The living room accommodated us well, and the kitchen held our food and beer just fine. The condo was very pleasant and clean, and we comfy staying there. Gulf Crest itself has never failed to impress us. We were literally positioned on the beach, and being first floor meant we were out with our chairs in the sand under a minute. All of us had fun at the beach: we tanned, played some frisbee, and the water was refreshingly cool. Friend and I used the gym once during the trip - was a bit small but well-stocked. We had no issues getting in and working out. Girls tanned by the pool during this, but mentioned a lot of people had left towels around - trying to save chairs? Our room was right by the hot tubs, so we had no trouble making liberal use. Pools were big, but might be a bit small if the resort was packed. We all ate out for breakfast / dinner, and there were enough quality restaurants in walking distance that we didn't need to start up the car once. That and the convenience of being on the first floor won it for me. I'll be renting here again.
We loved Gulf Crest!
Staying at Gulf Crest was one of the most enjoyable vacations we have ever had. The units there are awesome and have huge balconies right on the gulf. We have rented from Susan Story for the past 2 years on the 11th floor since Gulf Crest first opened and would not stay anywhere else now. We are spoiled. She is an owner and has several units there. All of them are to die for. Her decorating is beautiful and she is very nice to deal with. It is great to rent from an owner you can trust. You know you will be treated fairly and have a beautiful place to stay every year. We have referred several of our friends to her and they have been very impressed too. Gulf Crest has the best floor plan on the beach too. All the rooms face the gulf. It is awesome!!! I think we first found it on Vrbo.
Great place - Very nice condo
We stayed four nights December 25-29. Unit 1902 through VRBO. Very easy owner to work with. Great place and location - a little off the main drag but also very nice in that respect. You can be anywhere - including pier park shopping area in under ten minutes. Pools were awesome - heated pool - very nicely heated for a December stay. Two great outdoor hot tubs. The outdoor heated pool and outdoor hot tubs were one of the biggest drawing cards for me vs staying at some of the other high end condo's like Aqua and Grand Panama. Perfect beach and very easy access. Elevators " flew you around " we stayed on the 19th of 22 floors. Amazing view. Stay on as high of a floor as you can. Lower floors just do not do the beach and gulf view justice. Very friendly fellow vacationers. No complaints at all. Stay at Gulf crest - no regrets and lifetime memories.
Loved The Gulf Crest
We absolutely loved this place. We were there August 5-12, 2006. We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo which was decorated beautifully. We rented through [--]. The grounds are immaculate, loved the assigned covered parking and the 2 pools were just great, 1kiddie pool and a game room too! This end of the beach is quiet with no construction going on compared to other places on the beach. The beaches on this end are clean and lots of sandbars to walk out to. We could walk right across the street to Hammerhead Fred's Restaurant and Emerald Falls go-karts and mini golf. We also were within walking distance of Spinnakers (love those Paradise Cheeseburgers) and Pineapple Willys. Even though the Gulf Crest is 23 stories with 7 units per floor you never feel like you are staying in a crowded high rise. With 3 elevators we did not have to wait on them as you have to at some of the other places we have stayed at. This place is great for families or couples. If you are into the party scene then this is not the place to stay at. We will definitely be returning for years to come.
Gulf Crest is NOT Family Friendly
My parents and I booked this unit for a family vacation this week. Including my wife and children, there are 8 of us and the unit is spacious enough for all of us. The unit is decent enough and has great views with floor to ceiling windows and a large wrap around balcony. The owners are really nice, but the labels and little framed signs all over the unit are a bit annoying and condescending. Other than the flat screen in the family room, the other TVs are old and need to be replaced. The TV in the guest room with master bed didn't work. Our biggest complaint is the atmosphere here at Gulf Crest. It seems that some owners will rent to just about anybody. There is a large group of high school kids from Michigan and they are creating a really trashy environment here with underage drinking and partying. The cops have been called almost every day we have been here. Unfortunately, the cops don't do much more than just try to disperse the crowd and are too lazy to get out of their vehicle. Avoid Gulf Crest if you are looking for a family friendly place to stay. It's too close to Club La Vela and Spinnakers. I wouldn't come back here if they gave us a free week. It was that bad. Very disappointing!
Gulf Crest 305
We had an amazing stay at Gulf Crest unit 305 from 7 / 28-8 / 4. Unit was a very spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath w / bunks. Large kitchen was well equipped. Balcony had a great view. The best thing was PARKING!! We walked the skywalk to the car everyday... didn't have to wait on elevators. Covered parking garage was nice. To enter property, you must have code to open security gate and also gate at pool that leads to beach. Very secure! Plus they have on staff security and an officer that lives onsite. We will stay here again!!!!!
What a lovely condo...
Rented unit 1206 from Meyers Realty and were so impressed! We have been vacationing on PCB for the last 8 years, and FINALLY had a condo that exceeded our expectations. Room was beautifully appointed and exceptionally well stocked, and Mrs. Meyers was wonderful to work with! My husband is al lready to put a deposit down for NEXT year. Thank You sooo much for a lovely stay!
If you want a great condo... book with Gulf Crest's Staff, not independent agents!
Like many of you I was skeptical because of all the bad reviews I read but after talking to Courtney I decide to take a chance... Wow what a great place to stay. I even added 2 days to my trip because of Courtney and her staff! The mistake many of you made... just my opinion... is booking through other agents or VRBO. If you book directly with Gulf Crest the condo you will rent is based on their standards and not some of the slum lords and their agents who sell you a week at the dump. I have been to PCB many times and will always stay at Gulf Crest in the future... without hesitation!
Best Vacation Ever!
We stayed in a 3-bedroom, 2-bath unit on the 18th floor and it was the most amazing unit I have ever seen! The condo was so nice that we had a hard time leaving to do other activities. The weather was perfect, the people were super-friendly, everything was very clean, there was no over crowding, parking was so convenient, and the view was absolutely breathtaking from every room!! Me and my family are now lifetime renters of Gulf Crest.
Fun resort
My family enjoyed a relaxing stay in Gulf Crest room 1607. the condo is a 3 bedroom and we had no problem fitting our family of 5. The kitchen was wonderful - we cooked up a lot of our breakfasts and lunches so we could get right back out to the beach, which is right outside. No cleanliness complaints or anything, and the balcony was to die for. room was 5 / 5. On the downside traffic was bad so we avoided driving whenever possible. There was also a big group of kids who continually ran from the beach to the pool and tracked a ton of sand in with them. No one ever uses the showers. It was a little messy, but the staff kept coming out to clean up and the pools were spotless each morning. 4 / 5. Downsides were small so we give it all a thumbs up. Rent from Emerald Coast Destinations and you'll have an easy and relaxing time. Next summer can't come fast enough! The Beach is beautiful! -The Bridges Family
Awful Decision For Spring Break = [
I've stayed at Gulf Crest a few times.. The rooms are always nice but the year for spring break.. it was hell. We actually rented 2 rooms from gulf crest for spring break. I rented one for my daughter and 4 of her friends and my youngest son.. myself and another mom stayed in this room. And I also rented another room.. the one next door.. for my older son and 5 of his friends.. they are all in their twenties. Our stay was awful. Probably my worst PCB experience ever. The employees are rude. The woman at the front desk was Satan. She was rude to my daughter's friend and my son as well. And she and I actually had more than one personal argument. Condo owners.. not even actual employees.. actually walk around enforcing a ridiculous arm band rule.. If one is caught without his special " gulf crest armband " on then he can't even be on the property. After paying almost $5000- for my kids to have a good time during Spring Break.. I learned that they were not allowed to have guests over.. which was awful. I prefer to have my kids hang out with their friends while I am somewhere close.. but then I learned " no guests! " There are actually so many more things that were terrible. The night security guards were very friendly. They helped us out more than once with the beast behind the front desk!! = [
Great, rented from Emerald Coast Destinations two years in a row
I rented from Jon Caldwell from Emerald Coast Destinations in 2008 and 2009. Hope to rent from him this year. He went out of his way to get us beach chairs and an umbrella so we didn't have to lug ours down there or pay for the beach service chairs, which saved us alot of money. The condos were nice, Loved the two big pools and 2 big hot tubs and huge balconies. Thre are lots of loungers and the pool so it isn't hard to find some. As far as people leaving towels all day to reservr the chairs, if I needed one I would go ahead and remove their towels, though I have never had to do that. I really like Gulfcrest and there is plenty of room on the beach. I don't like being crowded so this is very nice, Seaneen from Louisiana
Condo renovation wasn't complete
I just returned from a week at Gulf Crest and have to say I was pretty disappointed in our rental unit 1102. Our reservation was made several months ago through Gulf Crest as they owned that unit. Between the time our reservation was made and when we arrived the unit was sold. The unit was freshly painted and the furniture was new, however the renovation was far from being finished. We were told that we could get in at 3 pm but when we walked in the cleaning crew was sitting on the couch and werent finished cleaning. There were no blinds on the windows facing the beach so we were up by 7 am every morning. Not an ideal wake up time while on vacation. The flat screen tvs were very small, maybe 27 inches. The one in the smaller bedroom hadn't been set up, so we had to do do that ourselves. There were no bar stools and the unit wasn't decorated at all. There wasn't a single picture or accessory anywhere. I think the most disappointing thing of all was that there wasn't a single piece of furniture on the balcony. There was no way to sit out there and enjoy the view. Since this was Spring Break week, we knew several people staying in 5 different units at Gulf Crest and when they saw our unit they couldn't believe how bare it was. We made several trips to the office (at least one a day, sometimes two or three) and were told that they would contact the owner for us. However, every time we went back to check they hadn't heard anything from him. Finally on Friday afternoon I told the lady at the desk that we were leaving the next morning and really needed to know what was going on. She responded very smartly that we would have to check back before 5 pm and she would have an answer. The owner ended up refunding us $100. My family and several of my friends have stayed at Gulf Crest for the last 6 years and honestly this might be our last stay there.
Wonderful Family Vacation
We stayed at Gulf Crest Condos on Thomas Drive June18-25, 2011 renting from Eileen Meyer unit 1903 it was just as pictured. Everything was very clean, comfortable and fully stocked even down to trash bags and soap powders! The kitchen was fantastic...... everything you would need to prepare a meal for your family baking ware, cooking pans, toasters, many dishes and all types of gadgets! Everything was in working order and clean. The 40 foot outside patio had a big table, chairs & two lay back loungers for relaxing the evenings away...... all furnishings were up to date & new. Living room had a big screen TV, DVD player and stereo...... games, magazines for your pleasure. The unit even had beach chairs, mats, umbrella and toys for children. This is an amazing comfy condo for a great family vacation...... we were very pleased. Mrs. Meyers was friendly and attentive. making sure our needs came first, she even had candies waiting for us upon arrival! We had a wonderful time & plan to contact her again in the future. Great Condo and Property
We stayed at this condo during July 2012. 4 Adults, 4 children The CONDO: We rented an end unit # 507 (vrbo # 224525 - " 3 BR / 2 BA + Bunk). It has a fabulous view beach front and wall of windows down the western (sunset side) of the beach towards Spinaker (You cannot hear any loud music) that you can see from the LR, dining room and kitchen. It is nicely furnished with all of the normal condo ammenities. The AC and all of the appliances worked great. The unit was quiet and the 5th floor offered a great view. The beach facing balcony is very wide with plenty of room and wraps all the way around to the front 2 bedrooms. This was a nice feature, as the kids liked running around the bulding on the outside. The bedrooms could use black out curtains, as it is very bright at night. There is also a twin bunk built into the wall right next to the dining room. Being that it is a rental condo (I would guess built early / mid 90s), it is a little worn but overall was in really good condition. A little touch up with paint and caulking will do the trick. The owner is really easy to work with and responded quickly to all of my inquiries. The PROPERTY: There are 3 elevators. We did not have to wait more than 60 seconds any day, except check in / out times, but it still wasn't excessive. Check in was fast and easy. There is a $20 resort fee upon check in, which they give you wrist bands for the pool. Make sure you return these, as there is a $5 charge per band if not returned. The pools were great and kept clean daily. I cannot comment on the heated one, since it was July. The Tiki Bar was indeed open and serverd some snacks and light bar food and of course Fat Tuesday daquaries. They even had a (one man) band come play on Thursday afternoon. There were ample lounge chairs and yes people try to reserve them. The beach had a sandbar out front (but there is no guarantee that it will remain there). The resort has rental chairs ($30 per day) and jet ski and parasail rental. They are right in front of the property, so if you have your own chairs / tent, you have to walk to the side or place them behind the rental chairs. Parking was easy and this condo has a dedicated spot on the first floor (very close). There was a painting crew there all week (started in May 2012) but it did not inconvenience us. (at least they are keeping up the maintenance). There are many restaurants, grocery stores and activities close by. Thomas drive is really a great location.
Wonderful vaction!
We were on the 12th floor in unit 1207 and it was just breath taking! The unit was furnished to any 5 star standard. All the comforts of home plus some, Three bedrooms two baths all clean and well kept. The views from this place are great and can be enjoyed while dining on the terrace which goes all the way aroung the end of the building. Good beach access and wonderful restaurants add to the enjoyment. I plan to go back this spring and stay in the same unit, the owners are so nice to rent from.
Best Condo We Ever Stayed In

Great Complex!
We really enjoyed the Gulf Crest condos. The complex and the grounds are pretty nice. I did notice one elevator was acting up, as mentioned by another reviewer, but the other elevators seemed to be working just fine. The pools are really nice, though a bit sandy since they're right off the beach. We enjoyed the hot tubs as well. The work out facility is small, but has all the basics including a treadmil, free weights, bike, eliptical, and a weight machine. I found the staff at Gulf Crest to be very friendly. Gulf Crest has a pretty nice location too -- it is a bit off the main drag of condos but its nice and quiet here. It looks like all of the units have a balcony or patio with a view of the ocean. We were on the 5th floor and had stunning views with our wrap around balcony. The condo we stayed in was a great value and well taken care of (unit 507, vrbo 224525). I would highly recommend working with this owner -- he was fantastic!
Great condo
We stayed in 1106 and it was big with extra bunk beds built into what was once a closet. Decor made it feel like home the faculties was good 2 large pools, a kiddie pool and hot tub. Fit 3 adults and 6 kids range from 6 to 13yrs comfortable. Little to no sound when doors are closed from other units even when our neighbor was play loud music. Muffled sounds from fireworks being popped on the beach. Elevators all worked. One small problem refrigerator filter need to be change but was not a bother since we drink bottle water.
Avoid at all costs
We stayed at the Gulf Crest Condominiums in September during the hurricane. We stayed in unit 1204. We have not been sent our deposit of $200.00 due to what management says we were two hours late in leaving. It was 15 minutes late. We also tried to stay an extra night and was told that there were no rooms. We left 15 minutes late. Everything was in order when we left. The manager is now saying that my wife was abusive to the staff - telephones are now forbidden to complain on issues that were supposed to have been taken care before we arrived - like the couch being very dirty, the floors dirty and the windows not clean? The hurricane was annoying but not as much as not being sent the deposit that we deserved. On top of that insult to injury, the interiors are completely outdated now, furniture has stains, things are broken, workers will come into your room without telling you ahead of time. I would avoid, which is too bad since it used to be a great place, but it's rundown now and management is terrible.
July 4th Week
This was our second year in a row at this condo. We love this place ! I can't speak for anyone else's units. Eileen Meyer of Meyer Realty her units are great. I keep seeing these bad reviews about other companies. I can assure if you rent from Eileen you want go wrong. We stay in unit 707 and all 3 bedrooms have king beds and they are very comfortable. The complex is nice as well. We stayed July 4th week and only had to $2125. That was great price for a 1800 sq. ft. room. All I have to say is gulfcrestgetaways all the way.

We stayed here with our girls softball team July 2011 - Great location -We rented a 3 bedroom --Outside is not the best to look at but inside is very nice & rooms were really clean.. Right on the beach -Balcony is huge 0nly reason gave it a 4 star is I think it was a little too pricey & can find same value cheaper if you look around., Also - location is bad with the traffic but that may be all of the ones along the beach..
Nice But No Security
My family stayed at Gulf Crest the first week of October. The room was nice and clean as one would expect for a newer condo. The same can be said for the pools, beach access, etc. However, I will not be returning due to a lack of security. Upon entrance, you drive in with no checks whatsoever. Then park in your reserved space with your room number on it. This sounds simple, but it is also an easy way for someone to know when you have left your room. I am a well traveled person with a lot to learn. I now know that security is extremely important, which this condo has none, and I should take precautions of my own in addition to seeking a more security aware building. My experience turned out to be an unpleasant event.

20th floor great view biggest balcony i've ever had at a rental. Walking distance to spinnaker and hammerhead freds. decor is perfect. Open floor plan. Even provides 2 lounge chairs and umbrella already set up on beach. Just pack your bathing suit.
July 4th Family Vacation Woes
I had rented a room before at Gulf Crest but it was during off season and the stay was very plesant. This time our family stayed in room 303. The room was not clean, even though check in was delayed for cleaning. The room is supposed to sleep 8 but we had to buy a air mattress as the bed in the couch was broken and appeared to have been broken for a long time. The security gaurds were very unpleasant! If you walked by the pool after 10:00 the guard would often yell at you. One of the pools was closed most of the time as someone kept defacting. This could be because the bathrooms located near the pool are locked at 10:00 p. m. I am not sure I understand this as you must have a code to get into the pool area. People not staying at the condos would be using the restrooms. When we arrived we found that a light was not working in one of the bathrooms. We had to wait until the next day for maintenance to fix it as it was after 5:00 when it was reported. The balcony had odd pieces of furniture. There was a high table with low chairs. Two of the balcony chairs were broken and would tip you on the concrete if you were not careful. There is not plenty of parking spaces available. There is one space assigned to your room. If you have another vehicle you have a difficult time finding an empty space. There were boats and empty trailers parked in the extra spaces. Luggage carts were extremely hard to find and the elevators were even more impossible. You could wait over 30 minutes to catch an available elevator and I really don't think they are high speed. There are never chairs available at the pool area because towels reserve them from morning till night. The internet shows a game room but unless you have a special code you cannot use it. We were very dissapointed with the room during this visit. This will be our last!
Great resort
We stayed for the week and enjoyed the resort very much it was close to everything yet more private then most of the other condos and hotels in the area. We will defiantly stay there next time we go to PCB
A week at the P-Touch Palace
We rented a 3-bedroom unit on the 19th floor from a private owner. The unit was exactly as described, the furnishings and decor were lovely and the unit, with the exception of the floor, was clean. Truly, there was nothing we could have thought of that this unit did not have as far as appliances, furnishings, utensils, etc; it was all very up to date. The biggest detractor in this unit was the amount of posted signs on the appliances, p-touch labels on doors windows, cabinets, and framed notices admonishing us that if there was damage or missing items there would be charges, and a lengthy list of things to do prior to departure. This is not an interval and I am not doing laundry for anyone, especially in the moldy nightmare that was the washer (it was so bad it caused asthma attacks). The second was the floor and how dirty it was. We ended up mopping and re-mopping so we did not have black feet. The complex itself is very nice. The pools were always clean and the grounds well maintained. If you want to be close to many activities this is a great place to be. It was nice that our teenagers could walk across the street to many fun things to do. The pools and beach were very nice. I would recommend staying at this resort. We did notice that the higher up you went the more noise you could hear from the clubs, amusement areas and traffic. I would recommend lower floors.
Beautiful property
This is a beautiful property and a great location with a beautiful view of the gulf. Conveniently located, especially for Thunder Beach, behind Ms Newby's. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful.
Review
It had a pool. They said if we wrote a review we would get free tshirts. But not the tie dye ones, apparently those are too high quality or something. Anyways they charged each of us a $25 fee after we already payed to stay here out of the blue so that was cool. Come here if you like hidden fees.
Fall vacation
We stayed at gulf crest for fall break. All the units have different owners so it is hard to comment on one room and have that reflect that as all the units shop I will review the amenities and facility itself. Upon arrival the lady that checked us in was very helpful and nice. The parking garage is nice in that each unit has its own assigned parking spot. There was always plenty of luggage carts. The elevators were quick and the pool area was very nice. There are 2 good sized pools along with 2 hot tubs. There is a kiddie pool and a grill area. Gulf Crest also has a tiki bar that serves alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Security was great, codes are required to get in and out so it feels very safe. My only complaint is that it is right next 2 the public beach access so it has a busy beach area. The complex is close to a lot of things, grocery stores and tons of entertainment and restaurants. Great complex if you can find a nice unit.
Excellent stay!
We loved Gulf Crest 303. The owner is super to work with!! He added a Keurig at my request. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. Much appreciated. Everything was clean and well stocked. They even had a " Welcome basket " of goodies. We had a fabulous time and will return!
Vacation
The golf crest hotel is very nice. I like the pool and the beach. And I like the activities around the golf crest hotel. And I made three friends in the golf crest hotel. And the pea pole are nice here, it is cool. And I rate the golf crest hotel 10 / 10
1905 Sanctuary is a True Sanctuary!
We stayed in the Sanctuary 1905 in the middle of May. The unit has all the amenities one would expect from a luxury condominium in a five star resort. The entire condo is very clean and feels brand new. It is big and tastefully decorated. Dining room, living room, kitchen, and master bedroom directly face the gulf. There are two sets of sliding doors leading to a huge balcony. There are 3 new, flat screen TVs in the condo with a good selection of channels from Comcast. Internet is very fast and works everywhere on the property, even in the beach chairs (included in our rental). Kitchen is very well equipped with nice and new dishware, utensils and appliances. Bathrooms come with brand new, luxurious white towels. The building has numerous amenities, including swimming pools, hot tubs, gym, and game room. After hours check in was made very easy with a keyless entry system. Property manager was helpful and always available to answer any question or give good recommendations for activities. The condo came with a parking spot located conveniently near the elevators. The condo is clean, quiet and very private in a busy vacation town. I will be back next year for a much longer stay.
Never again
DO NOT RENT FROM OFFICE. BEWARE. I have stayed here the last 7 years and have never been treated so awful as this trip. The security made us lock our doors while in the room. At all times. One day the kids could play with water Val's in the pool and the next day they couldn't. The towels were all stained and the pots and pans were rusted. They kept my deposit because they said the towels was washed with something and had a pink tint. Those towels that had the pink tint was towels I brought and left them because they were better than what they offered me, I would rather wash off with a pink tinted towel that a brown stained one. The lady in the office told another lady she didn't care if they ever stayed there again. Great coustmer service Gulf Crest. What would the owners think of that? Never never go through the office. Also let owners know how bad security was. Felt like prison instead of vacation
Family vacation
Our family stayed in room 301 for a week in April & it was great! We felt safe in the location, gated complex with covered parking & access codes to enter from the beach. Room decor was updated & nice. 3 king beds were comfy & our little ones enjoyed the bunk beds in the closet. Kitchen was well equipped & had most everything we needed (a crock pot would have been nice).. However the room was not cleaned well.. the floors made our feet black & there was sand all over it before we even went to the beach. I swept it up & got probably 2 T of just sand up.. then I went to vacuum the carpet & it didn't work. After looking it over I realized that the filter in the vacuum had about 1 / 2 " of gunk on it.. gross. I also had to go to the store & get cleaner to clean the kitchen before we used it. Not impressed. Almost every dish we got out of the cupboard was dirty as well. The dishwasher doesn't work either.. Kitchen had rusty knives & broken stirring spoons.. everything else in the kitchen was ok tho. Bring your own garbage bags -they only supply one cheap flimsy one No hand soap in bathrooms or kitchen. I was hoping to get in the shower when we arrived after driving for 2 days, but there was no shampoo. I thought maybe a sample bottle would be supplied before we got a chance to go to the store.. I would have known all of that had we gotten the confirmation email that we were supposed to get before arriving.. We showed up on Sat night & had no gate code or room # & yhe office was closed for the weekend.. ugh, what a pain. I only had an email for the owner & was hoping he would answer it quickly as we sat outside waiting.. he called soon after & was able to get us the info, but what a pain! So, all in all we enjoyed our stay, but weren't impressed with the cleanliness of our unit. We left it cleaner than we found it. We will be back, but may go thru GC instead VRBO. We did see a huge manta ray in the ocean right in front of the hotel- probably 18 ft wide! Huge! Also saw some manta babies. Restaurant tips: J Michael's-awesome!-get the boiled shrimp! We wanted to go back but ran out of time. Bayou Bills -excellent! Capt Jack's -good crab, everything else yuck.. go to Bayou Bills for crab! Not worth the price here. Pineapple Willie's-don't bother going. Tourist trap. Not very good food. Pancakery-biggest fluffiest pancakes. Yummy omelets Things: Shell island- be prepared to walk forever. Shells are about 20 ft out & you gotta dig down to get them, but we did find some big ones. No whole sand dollars tho. Did see dolphins (which I mistook for a shark & scared my son! Oops..) Sling shot -kids enjoyed it. (Expensive for the amount of time it takes)
I really enjoyed Gulf Crest
We booked through VRBO and were on the 16th floor. We had no problem getting a luggage cart and the three elevators were always available. Parking was easy and you had assigned spaces. The condo was a three bedroom and the balcony reached all the way around. We had a party of eight so the bunkbeds built in to the closet were very convenient. The only complaint was that there were only two bathrooms in the condo and one more would have been nice with eight people. The pools were nice and were warm. I never went in to the hot tubs but two were available. The only complaint was that people would go down early in the morning and save seats with towels and then disappear. I would never consider doing this because if you are not at the pool you should not be allowed to " hold " a seat all day. Some people are so rude. One lady would come down to the pool every morning and take up eleven chairs at the pool with towels and then would disappear. Those chairs would be empty until late afternoon when her family would come in from the ocean so when we came down to the pool there were chairs empty but being " reserved " with towels. Another thing is the noise from the street in the back two bedrooms. We were on the 16th floor but you could still hear the noise of the gocarts at Emerald Falls from the the bedroom and there was a bar down on Thomas Drive that played loud karoke on Tuesdays and had a live band on Thurs, Fri, and Sat. night that you could hear even from the 16th floor.
Great time in 1405
Condo 1405 great! The whole unit was well maintained and had everything we couldve wanted. Clean, tons of appliances, good tech, and just overall easy to settle into. Parking was no problem, which was a nice change from our last trip at another resort. Security kept the place free from anyone questionable, which made it easy for us to really let go of our cares and enjoy ourselves! Pools were pretty clean and not terribly crowded, but the beach was so close we were out there every day! It was a great trip!
Nice condo, great view
My family's been to PCB several times, as we love the Gulf waters. First time staying at Gulf Crest and we couldn't have been much happier. I'm actually surprised to see some of these poorer reviews - compared to some of the resorts available Gulf Crest is impressive, and it's definitely up there among the better resorts in the area. We enjoyed a week stay through Jon Caldwell (Emerald Coast Destinations), and were treated fairly. Booking early was key here: summer has PCB swamped and it can be rough getting into a condo at all without reserving before the rush. Our condo was crisp and fresh - from the look of things a cleaning crew had been through earlier in the day. We really enjoyed the balcony. Such a great view! From our height (9th floor), we caught a great green off of the coast. Emerald Coast indeed. Otherwise the condo was almost too lavish; family spent most of the time on the coast or out shopping. When we came back to catch our breath though, the sofas and beds were inviting and soft. We made a few meals in the kitchen with no issue, was pretty well stocked, though we ate out at Pier Park more than anything. Flat screen TVs were a nice upgrade from our last visit, where we were stuck with old CRTs. As a resort, Gulf Crest was satisfying. It's located directly on the coast - don't have to cross a road or deal with a crowd to get out and enjoy the sunshine. When we needed a break from the beach, the pool and hot tub were right nearby. GC also offered a weight room and a little entertainment center, though we didn't use em. We were only a few minutes from Pier Park, PCB's new giant shopping centre, so we spent plenty of off hours there. Nice variety of shops there, though a few were touristy as expected. Pleasant restaurant selection too - Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville is always a good time, and Reggae J's was a refreshing change of pace. If you haven't been to PCB before, give Gulf Crest a try. Cozy, expansive condos, plenty of amenities, and the emerald coast will have you coming back for more.
Ok resort.
My family just got back from a week long stay at Gulf Crest Resort. The resort is in a wonderful location- in my opinion this is the best thing it has going for itself- well that & the views of the ocean. It is definitely time for an upgrade. The resort is 22 or 23 floors & it has only 3 elevators. You are constantly waiting on elevators & often one or more elevators were not working. Also, I'm assuming most vacationers rent at this resort from Sat-Sat so every Sat there are a ton of people looking for the luggage carts & the elevators are running slow. The pools are ok... nothing exciting. The kiddie pool was ok. We've stayed at some very nice resorts with kiddie pools, lazy rivers, etc & I guess I was just looking for more. If you are looking for an average resort with a great view of the beach then this is your resort. Oh, no restaurants on the property. I must say the staff at the front desk was very nice. Also, another plus is that I saw a security guard each time we visited the pool, except once when a group of teenage boys were throwing a football from one pool to the other. I asked the boys to stop due to my 9 year old cousin & 15 month old son playing in the pool. The boys stopped & funny enough, other people sitting around the pool said thank you to me for asking the boys to stop. All in all the resort was average. Would I stay there again? Probably not.
Great Condo
We had a great time at Gulf crest ! The unit was very clean and we loved it. This was our first time to stay here. We have stayed at Sunrise Beach Resort and Grandview. We like Gulf Crest alot better. Elevators were only hard to get on Saturday due to check in and check out. The rest of week was not a problem and they worked fine. There was painters working on building which was not a problem for us. I talked the painters and they said that the condos just have to be painted about every ten years. Pool was cleaned every morning to help keep sand out. Everyone needs to use one of the two water hoses at pool gates from beach. This would help keep the sand out of pool ! Fall beach trip
We are staying here for the second time and loving it! So clean and well kept. We will definitely be back! Our room is spotless with up to date amenities and fun serving dishes ! We especially love the patio area for our early morning coffee!
Wonderful accomodations
This is a wonderful condo; specifically room 701 is great with a large bar, balcony on three sides, three bedrooms / two bath, and a large kitchen. Parking was plentiful, the elevators were fast and worked well, the property was clean and well maintained, and the room was packed with towels and supplies. Also important is that they were not sticklers about wearing those tacky, juvenile armbands like some condos are. As long as your armband was with you, it was okay.
Can't wait to go again
We just returned from out first visit to Panama City Beach and we stayed at the Gulf Crest. It was incredible. We had a condo on the 6th floor that we rented through VRBO and it was decorated beautifully. The view of the Gulf was awesome from the 36 foot balcony. We usually do not like to stay in a highrise when we have gone to other beaches in the past, but this one does not feel too big and the elevators ran pretty quickly. There are two nice pools and the beach was very clean. Another great thing is that there is a covered parking garage and a security gate at the entrance. The place was full of families and everyone was well mannered at the pool. The only bad thing I can comment on is that people start saving chairs at the pool as early as 5:30 am. Then nobody sits in half of the chairs they reserve until later in the afternoon. We are already planning to go back and stay there next summer. It was a wonderful place to stay and we highly recommend it.
Very Pleased will be back again
We was a family of 8 and had a great rented condo (501). The rooms were great and there was plently of room for all. Great view of the oceans and the pools. Had little or very few problems with the condo, (ice maker didn't work well, air conditioner kept freezing up, but the rooms stayed cool). Would recommended staying here, great for the money. The owner Kim was very helpful in anyway she could. We will be staying here again when we come back.
Good time after initial rocky start
We arrived at Gulf Crest on July 24th. We have stayed here before in a three bedroom condo and loved the location and the layout of the condo. We stayed on the 22nd floor in a 3 bedroom on the end. No luggage carts to be found had to lug all belongings up by hand via three very hot trips. The first thing we noticed was that the bed in the back bedroom had a headboard that was broken off from the frame. It was flopping against the glass that lined the back wall. I called the lady that we rented from and she told me to call maintenance. My husband and dad ended up moving it into the utility room and mainenance picked it up the next day. The condo had ceramic tile throughout and our feet were black. It looked like the floor had not been mopped in a very long time. I found a mop and bucket and got some floor cleaner and got to work. It took me about 35 minutes not what I wanted to be doing the first day of vacation. The condo was sparse in utensils. No spatula, very few glasses, no wine opener ect. The balcony is wonderful and she had plenty of chairs for everyone to sit. It extends around on three sides so everyone has a balcony off of their bedroom which is very nice. The first night we lay in bed and I kept hearing a constant beeping noise. I finally woke up and forgot about it but the next night same thing. I got up to investigate and noticed a safe in the bathroom closet in the master bedroom that had an orange light that was constantly beeping. My husband told me to again call the lady we rented from to find out why the safe was beeping since it was very annoying when you are trying to sleep. She called maintenance who looked at it shook their head, couldn't help us, and left never to be heard from again. My husband (who is very ingenious) took a piece of plastic and pressed on the buttons on the safe and wedged it to the door handle so it would stop beeping. The only other issue was the elevators. Towards the end of the vacation we were in the living room and the power went out for a split second. A few minutes later we heard the intercom in the room go off and you could hear the front desk telling the people trapped in the elevator not to panic help was on the way. The last day Friday we were down in the pool towards evening and the same thing happened the lights went out for a second. When we went to the elevator to head back upstairs there was a lady yelling in the elevator that they were trapped and could someone please get help. I located a security guard who when we left him was trying to contact maintenance who had left for the day to advise him on what to do. Overall I have stayed at Gulf Crest in the past and really loved it. I would recommend it because I think with our experience it was just one of those things that could happen in any condo unit you go to. The pools were nice with a tiki bar if you wanted to get a drink. There was a reserved parking space (even though someone was in ours when we arrived and I had to go to the front desk and ask them to notify the people to move the car). It is a nice complex, very close to attractions and the layout of the condos are very nice.
Great Stay in Panama City Beach
We rented unit 405 from Eileen Meyers at VRBO.com and loved it! Large condo with 2 bedrooms, 2 bunk beds and a pull-out couch. Flat panel TV's, 2 large baths, laundry room, large walk-in storage closet, large kitchen and dining room. The balcony is huge and has an awesome view of the gulf and pools. Awesome place to stay for IronMan Florida, the run course is right outside! Highly recommended!
Another awesome family vacation
Had the best time at Gulf Crest. The only bummer is one of the two pools was out of commission the last three days of our stay. But we'll definitely be back. This is the third time staying here for us! ❤
Management co should be fired!!!
Our stay was New Years Eve. I love all the bowl games and the play off games. The tv did not work no connection to the cable co. We called left messages some extremely helpful neighbors tried to get it to work. Without success. No one ever returned our calls. They didn't try to provide ANY service!! Someone is always on call!!! But it appears the New Years weekend was more important than the service, so we got none ! what if the toilet was running over the window fell our. Nothing!!! The management co finally answered the phone I demanded a refund they offered 50 per night off I demanded 100 they said they would call and see then let me know hahaha they didn't call they sent the 50 per night Lousy SERVICE No SERVICE Never stay anywhere they manage!
