Clean and quality
Clean and high quality place that serves excellent Indian food. The service here is excellent and its a safe and reliable option. From the outside it doesn't look like a nice spot, but it is Don't forget to add 15% to the bill

Such a great place to chill and hang out, nice views to take photos either. My favourite food is Biryani. Also have fair price and delicious food. Can easily find out and access location.
Nice Food and greta atmosphere
Nice restaurant a little hard to find as the sign is small and you need to go up some grungy looking stairs to enter the restaurant - however once inside it is a delightful atmosphere. The food was both Burmese and western and all weel priced and very tasty. Drinks were cheap and we all knocked back a few icy cold Myanmar beers which was great.

Best fish curry ever
The sea bass curry is world class. Funky venue upstairs that's a little hard to find and looks like a den of thieves but worth it. Great service. But the curry OMG!

Really good Burmese food, attractive modern setting
I had delicious Burmese food here and was very impressed. As others have noted, the general area and entrance are not attractive, but once you enter the restaurant, it's a different story. I would highly recommend eating at Burma Bistro when you are in Yangon. I certainly plan on coming here when I visit Myanmar again.
Nice decor, okay food, too many staff members
The space is very nice and the food and drinks are fine. I've visited several times and tried to use it as a place to work. There is a very large number of staff, often more than customers, and they tend to talk, horse around, and shout. The music is often too loud, which is fine for short visits.
A great address !
At first sight, not engaging at all from the street. A dark entry, some stairs to climb but at the end.. a nice, well decorated restaurant, modern and trendy. The menu is good and the meals are great ! Tasty, flavorful and served very quickly. A great address we really recommend !
Modern Burmese
This first floor eatery offers excellent food with friendly and attentive service. There is also a good cocktail program going here. The decor is a bit colonial kitsch, but it is not overdone and pleasant enough. Be sure to savor the experience of walking up the nondescript staircase to find this lovely place.
Excellent local food in elegant surroundings
I have eaten here twice and enjoyed the food, service and surroundings on both occasions. The restaurant is well-advertised from the busy street and there is an atmospheric climb to the first floor which is rewarded by the spacious and elegant decor of the main, high-ceiling room in this colonial building and a nice welcome from staff. There is a good selection of local dishes, including a fine tea leaf salad (my favourite Burmese food). Unlike some other restaurants they will make the food genuinely spicy if you request it. Good beers too. Strongly recommended.

Outside seating hot but a good view of street life below
The entrance is not auspicious, but do not be put off. Climb the rather decreed looking staircase from street level and find the restaurant on the first floor. We chose to sit outside, which is outside of the air conditioning, but gives a great view into the life going on in teh street below. Service was excellent and food very good. Chicken curry was very tasty and chicken satay had a very good sauce. We will certainly be coming back later in our visit.
Nice place with good food
Delicate place with nice atmosphere and good food! Bar and live music somedays at the second floor. An anonymous entrance, you find dark stairs to 2. floor and a surprise is waiting for you.

they have very good tea and Burmese foods are also excellent. it's a nice place to go alone or with friends as you can take the front seat in the balcony and it's really nice to see the people from there. service is also good.
Excellent et atypique!
Ne vous fiez pas à l'entrée, Le Restaurant, boutique occupe le 1er et 2ème étage d'un immeuble ancien, la déco est tendance et chaleureuse, le personnel charmant, ambiance musicale côté Bar avec des petits salons en alcôve très sympa quand aux plats c'était très bon bien présenté et pas excessif... Du coup nous y sommes allés 2 fois le soir...

Après un escalier peu engageant on a la surprise de découvrir une jolie salle au décor intéressant où un personnel attentif vous sert une cuisine de qualitè

Not a very inspiring entrance but the restaurant was excellent, nice decor relaxed atmosphere and delicious food.
Great food with excellent level of customer service
This popular restaurant with a scary entrance that looks like an abandoned building is a gem. I have eaten there 4 times over a 3 day period and I would keep going back. Great Mutton curry sea bass and cilantro rice and finish with yogurt and coconut shavings on top.
Pretty average
Referred here as the hotel dining room was closed for the night. Was hoping for a nice quiet dinner but this is more akin to a well used Friday's pub in the US. The food was only oK, the place was noisy, service only fair. It has the feel of a well used restaurant for tourists. You can do much better in Yangon

Come detto da altri, visto dall'ingresso sulla strada ti chiedi se hai sbagliato posto... poi prendi coraggio e sali. Ti si apre un altro mondo, molto bello e curato. Bravi i ragazzi del servizio. Prezzo buono. Francamente mi aspettavo qualcosa di meglio dal cibo. Abbiamo ordinato due casserole misto pesce e pollo: dentro c'erano tre gamberi, tre pezzi di pollo, moooolto riso. E anche il sapore non era gran che. Ottimi invece i juice. Toilette tenuta bene e pulita.
Beautiful Bistro
Burma Bistro is a smart restaurant set in an old colonial building. It is not cheap by Burmese standards but very good. The food is well presented & very tasty. The staff are friendly & efficient. Much to recommend.

I did not eat there but my friend brought me hot coffee from this place, good quality coffee for your morning

Beautiful decoration
The place, loated in the first floor of and old colonial building, is surprisingly beautiful. The environment is classy and the choice of food and drinks very good. Prices are reasonable and the staff is nice. Only good impressions about the place.

Once past the entrance this is a great bistro
Yes the entrance is shabby but once up the stairs this is a great little bistro. Wine at decent prices and very good food as well. Service was very attentive with good English skills. Very handy if you are staying in the downtown and want to escape hotel prices.

Cosi Cosi
Shabby and dirty staircase (wonder why the can't do it up?) leads you to an restaurant with a pleasant ambience with ethnic and antique style decor. Full marks to the ambience. The first thing that struck me was the unruly staff that was constantly and loudly chit-chatting with each other in presence of the guests. We didn't get the quiet time for our dinner that we were looking for. It seems the owner is sitting some where far away and the manager is unable to control the staff. That took away 2 stars. As for food and drinks they were average.

A date je recommende cet endroit mais je n y ai but q un verre mais tout me semblait tres biens j y retourne demain pour luncher... le staff semble super et la bouffe aussi... ah oui happy hre... coupe la facture... c est un plus c est vrai l entré ne reflette pas le bistro... c est quand meme assez chic pour passer une bonne soirée entre amis avec une bonne ambiance

Great ambience
The restaurant is very popular with the locals, and the prices are reasonable. We tried the claypot rice (really yummy), tea leaf salad (another win) and the chicken curry. There's a live band, so it's a great place to order some beer or wine, and sit back and relax. The restaurant staff were all polite, and were more than happy to oblige us when we requested to move up to the bar area after dinner.

Bellissimo ristorante, ottimo cibo e servizio
A parte il portone di ingresso, che sembra una scena di blade runner, tutto il resto è perfetto. Ambiente tranquillo, arredamento in legno, stile coloniale, gran bar a vista. Personale super gentile e preparata. Le insalate, in particolare quella di tè e quella di tofu marinato, sono spettacolari. Gli altri piatti sono molto buoni: polle, pesce ecc. Prezzo per due sui venti euro, che sono probabilmente tantissimo per la Birmania, ma che a me sono sembrati molto molto ben spesi.
Really poor food
We came here based on the TripAdvisor reviews which are surprising because our food was very poor. The decor is nice, staff are friendly and food is well presented. Unfortunately my chicken curry was bland and full of small fragments of bone which made it very hard to eat. There was more bone than chicken. The roti was the worst I've ever had and I wouldn't even call it roti... Maybe it was some kind of packaged flatbread from the supermarket. My friend's meal was average which is a huge improvement on mine. Our advice: come here for a drink but skip the food. We won't be back.
Great Bustro
We were there for dinner with a friend who lives in Yangon and her children, a favourite of theirs. Quite funky, live music, very good food, especially the Tea Leaf Salad, good service and economical.

Tesoro nascosto perchè l'ingresso fa paura. Pare un antro. Poi salendo al primo piano si trova quest bellissimo ristorante in stile coloniale. L'ambiente è curato e raffinato. La cucina eccellente e varia. Buona scelta di birre e vini. Personale gentilissimo ed efficiente. Prezzi decisamente economici. Da consigliare!
Ziemlich touristisch
Wir hatten mehr erwartet. Das Lokal ist sehr laut, das Personal wirkte gehetzt. Das Essen ist einwandfrei mit guter Auswahl, aber am Landesstandard und der Leistung gemessen, ist es zu teuer.
Good food, great local cocktails
The mixed platter was amazing. Best mohinga ever. The satay was delicious and we ordered another set to go with our second round of cocktails. They did misplace our reservations though but we had nice seats by the upstairs windows and enjoyed the band.
Great Burmese Restaurant
This was recommended by the F & B person at my hotel and I can see why. Wonderful ambience, great service and delicious Burmese food. The first time you go you'll be a little takeN aback by the entrance - on the ground floor it looks like a deserted building. However once you get up to the first floor you'll be pleasantly relieved.
Disappointment
Perhaps I should have read some of the reviews a little better but this place doesn't seem to be what it once was. For the prices it's just a bit rubbish. For instance we arrived an hour after they 'opened' but the closed sign was up. There were people in there so we asked if they were open, 'yes' but then closed the door with the closed sign still up behind us. We had some fairly average breakfast - while being plagued by mosquitos - that was very overpriced (especially as mine was served with a freshly killed mosquito as a kind of garnish) and when we left close to an hour later the closed sign was still up. Don't expect to be made welcome!
Disappointment
The beef curry was toast but the meta as hard as possible. The aubergine stew tasted of salt and nothing else. The tomato sauce for the prawns had an artificial flavour. The service - kind and attentive - is the only saving grace.

階段を上がるときには少し不安になりますが、店内はこじゃれたレストランです。料理も少し洋風のアレンジがされているのでミャンマー料理かな? と思いますが、出てくる料理はやっぱりミャンマー料理でした。安心して食事のできるお店です。

scoperto grazie ad una ragazza italiana che vive a yangon; ingresso da rivedere (una scala da film horror) ma per tutto il resto davvero contentissimi: arredi eleganti, possibilità di cenare anche in terrazza, secondo piano con american bar.. tutto molto ricercato ma personale alla mano e gentile. Abbiamo ordinato tempura di verdure, riso con pollo (squisito) e noodles terra e mare (buoni da non credere). Tutto per 25000 chiat, assolutamente consigliato.

Great place for tourists!
Great place for tourists. Safe and yummy local food, nice ambiance and lovely staff. I take all my visitors here. Don't be discouraged by the strange entrance (dirty abandoned looking stair case). The restaurant itself is lovely.
Great ambience
Had a very pleasant meal, the ambience of the place is great, with lots of wood. Service was efficient - the drinks menu is extensive, although food was not very spicy.

Contemporary Burmese food..
Firstly, I adore the grubby stairway entrance, it's in total contrast to the bistro's charming ambiance and cleanliness. The decor lures your thoughts back to colonial days, but the menu is definitely 2019. I was pleased to sample some traditional Burmese foods prepared and served with a more modern flare. And I was even more impressed to find many dishes had been adapted to suit vegetarians. Upon discovering the upstairs cellar, we returned for a second evening of more intimate dining and good wines. All our wait staff were friendly and attentive, yet I must mention the fantastic service provided by the very sweet Shein...
A great find;) when you stumble
A great find;) when you stumble over the run down building, you start to doubt what you will in the restaurant! Walk one floor up and it opens up onto a lovely restaurant with exposed brickwork. The sugar cane drinks are refreshing and a fusion of all the Asian flavours. Definitely worth a visit when in Yangon.
Hidden Gem
Hidden Gem. When you arrive, you only see a sign. Don't be alarmed, it's up on the second floor. The entrance isn't welcoming but once you get upstairs it's the place to be. Great food and service. The drink menu is the star. I recommence one of the sugar cane drinks. We tried serval dishes and the pumpkin soup and the casserole were winners.

Found by accident, will return with purpose
Wandering the streets of Yangon, a little disoriented, we stumbled across a small sign for Burma Bistro. We looked in the doorway - a snag of snaking electrical wires, dirty concrete stairway, rubbish. We shrugged and went in. I'd read about this place in Myanmore, it won a new starter award earlier this year. We were not disappointed. The most beautifully renovated colonial building awaited us, with delightful staff and the food - well the food was sensational. And inexpensive. We ordered a salad and got four regional specialties, all which were divine. A claypot Irrawaddy fish dish was delectable. We'll be back.

Beautiful restaurant, delicious food
A friend recommended this place and it didn't disappoint. I visited in the evening, but it was obvious there is an extensive (all day) breakfast menu) with amazing array of juices, coffees and teas. I was fortunate to arrive just before 7:30pm, which I was discretely told by one of the kind waiters was still happy hour if I wanted to order quickly; I ordered 2 Daik-Op Daiquiri's on the 2 for 1 deal- which was amazing! As was the Bistro Speciality (yeah I stayed for 3 cocktails, they were that good). To eat I asked for a recommendation which I was told the Shwe Bo Casserole; I didn't rate ot to be honest, it was a bit dry and not as flavoursome as I expected. BUT I did love the BB bites: they didn't quite match the menu description, as I'm not sure I tasted mixed pork or butterfish but there was a tiny (beautiful) little egg on top of the bite size pancake and it was delicious- the best thing I ordered. I love chick peas and tofu so wanted to try the Burmese tohu wah salad which was also yum, but probably needed to be shared as it was too much of the same flavour for one person. I wish I had tried the braised beef as other reviews seems to rate it. Overall it was a fantastic dining experience in Yangon, one not to be missed, the place is beautiful!
Burma in colonial era with contemporary food
Want to taste street food but afraid of hygiene? Hot walking on streets? This is the place that you can chill around with milk tea (လ္ဘက်ရည်) or sugarcane juice. The all day breathing session is typical burmese snack that usually a breakfast for locals. Mohinga, tiny rice noodle in fish soup, and Ohn-Noh-Khotswe the coconut milk noodle is a must try. If you have eaten before, Try Shan Fish rice, or spicy Roselle Rice Salad.
Excellent decor and service, decent food
This is a hip local restaurant near the Sule Pagoda. The staircase at the entrance may look scary but the interior is cozy and spacious. Service is unbeatable. The menu offers a variety of options from different parts of Myanmar. Food is decent but not our favorite (probably due to personal preference). Price is cheap.

現地在住の方に連れて行って貰いましたが、事前情報なしに飛び込むにはかなり勇気のいる入り口です (お店は二階にあり中はお洒落で清潔) 。 ミャンマー料理は美味しくないと念を押されていましたが、外国人向けにアレンジされた料理はどれも美味しかったです。独特のサラダ、骨付き豚肉の唐揚げ、カレー二品、いずれも大満足です。

High quality Burmese food in a beautiful setting
We had to try some popular Burmese foods, so ordered up some tea leaf salad, fritters and Mohinga (fish soup). All were very tasty, beautifully prepared, and served by attentive and friendly wait staff. Highly recommend, and as a bonus, they have good air conditioning to give respite from the heat.
Our first dinner in Yangon
This restaurant is located on the second floor of a building in merchant road. From the outside it looked rather scary but when you make your way up, it's like another world. Service was good. And food was delicious. Price is reasonable to the quality. There were a mixed of locals and expats customers which showed good sign. We do recommend this restaurant.

Old british colonial building, cant imaging such a great atmosphere when walking in from ground floor. Great food, great waiters, everything is great except lots of mosquitos at out table.
Bland Bistro
We really wanted to love Burma Bistro after reading reviews and getting a recommendation from our hotel. The atmosphere was nice and the service was good but the food was pretty bland. Maybe it was our vegetarian choices since I see more positive reviews for meat dishes. I would go back for a drink at the bar but not for dinner. :- (
Great food and super cosy
Who would have known from the little street sign that on the 2nd and 3rd is a super cozy and stylish restaurant, bar and bistro. Very good Burmese food on top of that. Definitely a keeper!

Colonial touch and good food
Inside an old colonial building, up on a dark staircase, you enter in another, quiet world. With touch of clear colonial style and Western taste, this bistro is equally international and typical. We had a late lunch with our friends and our dishes were really good! I surely will come back!
Must Visit Restaurant 🍴🍽🍴
It's a diner's nightmare to get in with Yangon traffic. But once in you are in for a delicious treat. Rice served inside a bamboo with a pork skewer or garlic prawn curry. Or the satays
Excellent burmese food
The restaurant has the most charming interior i have seen in our 3-day-stay in Yangon. Don't get scared of the small and dark entrance of the building, as the restaurant is in the first and second floor! The food was superb, traditional Burmese dishes with a modern twist. The prices totally correspond to the food's quality. I had the " bambu rice with pork " on recommendation of the waiter which was just great. Service was really friendly too. They just opened, so we even got a discount. Tip for the management: Work on your visibility from the street / entrance! Maybe display a menu and a photo of the interior on the street! I bet lots of tourists overlook it on the search for a good and calm restaurant in this busy area!

Abbiamo passato una serata splendida in questo ristorante nel cuore di Yangon. L'ingresso è volutamente grunge, ma il locale è davvero delizioso, curato nell'arredo, nel servizio e nella cucina. A wonderful experience!
Entering the building I wondered what I was going to experience. Dark, dusty and not very welcoming. On the first floor everything changed - like walking into another world. A wonderful world full of gastronomic experiences! Just had to come back the next day, too! Very tasty food, very seviceminded and attentive staff! Just have to give Burma Bistro and all of its staff a five-star rating! Don't miss it!
Band on Sat night is amazing!
The food here is great but the band in the upstairs bar on Saturday nights is even better! A totally eclectic Western playlist (i. e. Elvis' " Blue Christmas ", Air Supply, Carrie Underwood & Guns and Roses!) All with their own sn! Don't miss them!!!! We had the best night listening to them!
Not easy to find but once you're there.
Beautiful setting with very tasty local food. The service is superb and the place is not crowded (yet). Only issue is finding the entrance. Would be great if it could be cleaned up and upgraded. It would make for a more welcoming experience. This said, I went there twice already for lunch and I really enjoyed it. I would recommend...
EXCELLENT TRADITIONAL FOOD HOMELY ATMOSPHERE
I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant for the third time this year. The entrance to the restaurant is more like a dungeon, and very unimpressive. The restaurant is situated on the first floor, where the scene and atmosphere is very different. Very spacious restaurant on two floors. As we were four persons we ordered different traditional Burmese dishes. They were very tasty and well presented. Excellent service personnel and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. One of the best places we ate at in Yangon !
Beautiful interior in an old run down building, which gives it an extra charm, what you see on the outside is totally different from what awaits you once you have gone up the stairs. The staff are super attentive and the food came out very fast (they weren't that busy, but still). Menu is extensive with great explanations of what each dish contains and which part of the country it represents. Presentation and taste was even better. We had cocktails and appetisers and mains which were all great. The price is definitely value for money compared to the west and even other similar places in Yangon. Would come back and highly recommend this place.
Awesome
This place is awesome. The entrance is a little interesting, but the restaurant upstairs is really funky and beautifully decorated. The waitstaff are super friendly and willing to offer suggestions when asked. We had a variety of dishes which were all great, but the standouts were the bamboo rice with the meat skewer and the mutton curry. We tried a couple of desserts, which were a little sweet for my taste. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced. A great night out.
A First to Burma Bistro
Coming off the street and up the flight of stairs was mostly uneventful and boring. Uninviting to say the least. But as the eye catches the decor and ambience while the steps take me into the bistro (with my team of fellow diners), the atmosphere is welcoming as the serving staff are cordial and patient. We had our version of SET B / Vegetarian (clearly an earlier booking was made) and the goods that came to the table were very palatable. Our starter had stuffed tuna in cucumber (two pieces) and that was a nice pairing of fish and a mostly underestimated vegetable. Two bites and it was gone! Soup was monastery styled mix vegetable soup that was simply delicious. Can't really identify the veggies in there but it was a tasty piece of work. Main meal was bachelor chicken and that was a traditional Burmese curry that came in a small clay pot and accompanied by a stack of steamed rice. Comforting! Clay pot yoghurt delivered the right flavours & touches. I ignored the palm sugar syrup although it tasted pretty honey-ish when I took a dash of it. Pulled tea was superb. Service was attentive and my server dude was nice and took our suggestions and feedback sweetly. It was a good experience and more importantly - memorable. Will that translate into future visits? Likely.
Great light lunch
We just had a light lunch within a tour group and despite half the group not eating it, we did and it was excellent. The staff were very good and I am using their WiFi to write this!
At Last... Good Service & Good Food!
Finding a good eatery is a real hit and miss thing in Yangon... more so than many great Asian countries! You have to have the Tea Leaf Salad... at least here you will get it where you can taste the differing tastes that make up this nice salad... as we found in a few other locations it was over garlicky or even burnt! At least now... now we know this famous Burmese dish... The menu is good... and I am thrilled to say the quality of the food was fresh, well cooked and presented.... and overall the service on the ball. It has a nice feel... a relaxed feel... and nice music to cool to... once you have found this place... from outside... it is a run down street look... but once you climb the stairs... the ambiance hits you like the cooling air conditioning... This is the best easy relaxed eating spot in Yangon. Try it... you will love it!
Great food, but not service
We loved Burmese Bistro. Great menu and the food was excellent in a lovely room. There is a lot of staff here, but the service is variable. We specifically ordered starters first with mains to follow. But some mains arrived with starters. Would return for the food though.
Nice ambience & great food
A local friend brought me here for dinner. The ambience was great which they still keep the original flooring & others fixtures from the colonial era. Food was delicious & not too pricey & good service. Worth a try when you are visiting Yangon.

ヤンゴン滞在中、夜ご飯に行きました。沢山外国人がいて、人気のお店のようです。スタッフは英語が堪能でとても親切でした。モヒンガーセットとミントとレモンのソーダを頼みました。モヒンガーセットはトッピングが麺と違う場所にあり、自分で入れていきますが、盛り付けもきれいです。食べ方を親切に教えてくれたり、時々声をかけてくれたりしてくれました。トッピングが多く、かなりお腹いっぱいになりました。ドリンクには竹? でできたマドラーなのか、ストロー代わりなのかがついていました。ストローにするには衛生上どうかと思い、マドラー替わりに使用しました。もっと時間があれば違うメニューも試してみたかったです。また行きたいです。
お洒落なミャンマー料理
あの素朴なラペットウもお洒落になって、そしてちゃんと美味しい。値段は高めかもしれないが、ベランダ席は雰囲気もいいし、一度行って見てもいいと思う。

Wunderschönes Restaurant im 1. Stock. Im 2. Stock ist die Bar mit Restaurant. Aufgang nicht sehr vertrauenserweckend, aber es lohnt sich. Sehr gutes Essen, super freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Wir genossen es sehr.
Seat and eat
Looking for a place to sit down after a day long walk around the city? Make it a worth a while. The place they offer is so far simply the best. CAptures rustic feel, Food is great with reasonable value.
Hip restaurant with authentic food
Really enjoyed the food and the ambience. We had dinner there twice as we really enjoyed the food the first time. Tea leaf salad is highly recommended! Service was great.
Good food and great service
The access from the street and the staircase are very off-putting! However, once you are inside you enter a smart, atmospheric restaurant where the menu is extensive. The food and the service are excellent.

Lokal mit europäischem Standard
Sehr gutes Essen und ein super schönes Lokal. Man darf sich von Eingang nicht täuschen lassen, denn der ist eher nicht so schön. Das Lokal liegt aber im 1. Stock und ist wirklich toll. Vor allem die Toiletten haben uns überrascht, da wir etwas anderes gewohnt waren. Alles tip top sauber! Das Essen war sehr gut, der Service zu jeder Zeit top. Preislich ist es teurer als die umliegenden Lokale, jedoch immer noch günstig im Vergleich zu Deutschland. Wir haben für 2 Gerichte, 2 Ananassäfte und 2 Desserts mit Trinkgeld 18€ gezahlt (31.000 Kyad).
Muy buena eleccion
Restaurante muy acogedor y mucha calidad en la comida. La salsa de cacahuetes sorprendente y la cerveza yangon buenísima. Lo que más llama la atención la entrada.. digna de ver 😛
A hidden gem to find out
Highly recommend for someone who like a mixed feel of modern and tradition. The location is a bit hidden in the downtown, but the decor is great, food is sort of fusion, but the taste is good. Good for family outing, a dinning date or out with friends.
All Round, Very Very Nice!
Ascending the first flight of stairs from outside, expectations are reasonably low. Upon entering, these skyrocket. We proceeded upstairs, in time still for the generous (yet somewhat necessary) Happy Hour from 4:30 - 7:30 p. m. The variety of seating was welcome, decor extremely comfortable and cool, drinks and food both very good. Service is usually a bit lacking in newer establishments, yet here was pretty good (excellence is a tall order anywhere in Myanmar). A return is a certainty!
Raffinato
Siamo stati a Yangon 3 notti durante il nostro viaggio in Myanmar e abbiamo cenato al Burma Bistro ogni sera essendo questo ristorante a breve distanza a piedi dal nostro albergo, ho adorato questo posto fin dal primo momento ottimo il recupero architettonico di uno dei tanti edifici storici del centro di Yangon riqualificato e reinserito con classe nel contesto urbano. Il Bistro è su due piani, al primo piano c'e un bel portico dove è possibile cenare all'aperto senza aria condizionata ma con ventilatori che io preferisco di gran lunga. Il menu presenta piatti della autentica cucina Burmese eseguiti con molta cura e raffinata presentazione, ottimi i Sugar Cane Specialities in particolare Lemon Grass and Mandarin, il personale è gentile il servizio è stato attento e curato, l'atmosfera è romantica, raffinata veramente molto piacevole, il conto è adeguato c'è wi-fi veloce.
Trés sympa
dans un cadre très agréable situé au premier étage la salle est superbe. Comme partout en Birmanie le service est de grande qualité. Les plats excellents (attention quelque fois un peu épicés...)
Romantic getaway in Yangon
Don't let the downstairs income fool you, it's upstairs you have to be. Rather fresh inside which is nice when it's so hot outside. Food is divine, cocktails are so-so. But the lights are dimmed so you can relax in this pleasant restaurant. Take your time to discover what's on offer. And get romantic with your loved one. It's the perfect spot for it.
A great restaurant
My family and I were brought here by a local friend we have on our first night in Yangon and were very impressed. Restaurant and decor was nice, though a little hidden above a run down looking building, food was tasty and not as heavy / salty as other Burmese restaurants we tried. Staff were helpful in explaining menu items and overall we had a lovely evening
Beetle Juice cocktails
What a great place. The food is amazing - I am sure everything on the menubwaa great, but I loved the pancakes with quail eggs. And a really interesting cocktail list. Quite reasonably priced. Good and quick service. Plenty of seats. Spacious.
A gem
Don't be put off by the sad looking staircase leading to it - this place is great! Once you get inside you will see that everything is high quality. We had a large group that they handled well - slightly random - 😀- but well. Food was plentiful / well priced / and really tasty. I had the braised beef and totally recommend it.
Pause raffinée
N'hésitez pas à grimper à l'étage pour découvrir ce restaurant très joliment décoré, offrant une ambiance apaisante et une carte élaborée. Les prix sont bien plus élevés que les restaurants du coin mais cela en vaut la peine.
