Terrible service at Wayfarer Inn
I booked a double room at Wayfarer and called ahead on the morning of our booking to ensure that all was in order and to enquire whether we could possibly check in earlier. I was informed that I could not, which was fine, and we agreed to check in after 14h30. We arrived at Wayfarer Inn just before 17h00 and a lady met us at the door. She acted very surprised at the fact that we had a booking, telling me that she wasn't aware of it. I showed her the booking confirmation and told her that I had spoken to someone earlier in the day (I thought it had been a man, which I mentioned to her) who had told us to check in later. She insisted that there were no men that answered the phone and then went off to check her bookings. A few minutes later, she returned and told me she had seen the booking and that she was in fact the person I had spoken to but that she didn't think she sounded like a man. I apologised for my mistake and then enquired whether we could now be shown to our room. She then told me that they were, in fact, fully booked with and that she would not be accommodating us, despite the fact that I had a confirmed booking and that I had spoken to her earlier in the day to confirm this booking. It was clear that she had given the accommodation away and not bothered to inform us even though she had been aware of our booking and intentions of arrival. To add insult to injury, as we were leaving, she called after us to please cancel our booking through the online booking agent so that she wouldn't have to pay commission on it! I highly recommend considering an alternative accommodation option in Dullstroom as there are many lovely spots to choose from and in the middle of winter, you really don't want to be scrambling for last-minute accommodation for the evening. To Wayfarer Inn, I recommend better service levels and a little consideration towards future potentially returning guests.
Molto gentili ma poca pulizia
Abbiamo soggiornato una notte di passaggio per raggiungere il Parco Kruger la titolare è stata molto cordiale, gentile e soprattutto disponibile visto che siamo arrivati verso le 21:30 la stanza era ben arredata, con un bel letto grande ma scarsa pulizia del bagno e della camera in generale accettano solo pagamento in contanti, data la posizione centrale tra il parco e Johannesburg per una notte è consigliato!
