Good budget choice
Good points were staff, cleanliness, comfortable beds, reliable / strong wifi, pool / deck, quiet neighborhood, price, mini fridge, microwave. Need to work on funky smell, odd furniture (open wardrobe with no hangars, no dresser with drawers), lacked hotel room basics like coffee maker / luggage rack / room safe, noisy at times, far from downtown / airports ($75 cab ride), limited (as in nothing I could eat) " breakfast ", cold coffee.
Great Budget Option
The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating during our stay. This is a clean and comfortable budget option. This hotel was recently renovated and the rooms are clean. There was an issue with the A / C in the first room we were given, but it was quickly resolved and we were moved to another room. The breakfast is only bagels and muffins, but there is complimentary coffee all day. For the price point I was satisfied with my stay and would stay here again.
annoying noise
Loud noises early in the morning and barely outlet plugs. $100 deposit for who knows what. When coming inside the hotel the roof is really dirty and seems like it has leaking damage. I just want to sleep as i am writing this review at 9am in the morning

No hot water in shower, toilet leaked and flooded bathroom, bugs and no one has even reached out to make up for horrible stay.

100 usd taken as deposit, yet to get refunded (a week since checked out). What else to write, nothing that interested me. Breakfast missed by few mins for being late
Worst hotel ever
Missing and stained ceiling tiles in the lobby, wet carpet in our bedroom, bugs in the dresser, toilet that leaked onto the floor, cracked mirror, stained shower curtain, and more. Never stay here!!
Disappointment
My friend and I came to take our state board test with PSI. Even though we did not sleep in one of the rooms that the mole was visible, you can still smell it. My friend has upper respiratory problems with asthma, so it was a big big disappointment for us.
Rude staff, dirty rooms, terrible housekeeping, loud AC
IRTY DIRTY DIRTY!!! I stayed here for 2 nights. The day that i checked in, front desk guy was rude. I got to my room, as soon as i opened the door the smell of mildew rushed onto my face. The wallpaper was peeling in the 2nd floor. I went back the the check in counter and the check in guy looked all grumpy. I asked for a new room because i could not stand the smell of the mildew. The guy gave me a new room on the 4th floor. The rooms on the 4th floor are newly remodeled but housekeeping was TERRIBLE. Stains on my sheets, Holes in the counter, Hair dryer not working and no cups or microwave. At least the room was much luxurious then the 2nd floor rooms. Also mentioning the AC unit was LOUD. I gave them an extra star for having a new room that was more luxurious
Don't do it. Don't stay here
The pictures online are not accurate. This hotel was disgusting. The hallways were literally peeling. So dark and dim like a scary movie. The front seat person was rude he finished talking on his cellphone before addressing me. The room lampshade looked like someone had got in a fight. It was smashed and it still had blood on it. There was food in the hallways and even when we left the next day it was still there. Didn't even feel comfortable taking our shoes off in the room. We didn't eat breakfast there. Too ready to get out and leave from there. Suffice to say we checked out early and stayed somewhere else. If I could give a 0 I would. Don't be tricked like I was. Read the reviews
Good Experience - First Time in Dallas
Rooms were clean and people were friendly. We arrived early morning after losing a flight connection and they accepted hotel vouchers without any issues. Quiet location - we slept all night - no complaints at all. A good place to stay while if on Richardson.
Never ever stay here
My mom and I made a reservation for 7 nights at Wingate by Wyndham in Richardson Texas and ended up leaving the reservation early for several factors. We repeatedly told several staff members that there were no hangers, trash cans, or chair for the desk in our room. That was just the immediate problems that were barely solved. Syd did get us the trash cans and a chair, albeit a chair I'm certain wasn't for the desk, but a chair nonetheless. We told Sunny about the still missing hangers and nothing was done. We told Ni, and he blamed us for not telling him sooner, even though we had already told two staff members. They all said " oh you must be the first guests to stay in that room " because their rooms have been " renovated ". I'm not sure if having a room not ready to be occupied by a guest is a badge of honor. There were a ton more issues, here are a few: 1. The room numbers were handwritten on cut out card board trapezoids, I kid you not, hand written ! I have photos. 2. The hallway was humid and hot, and smelled. Also on our floor there was a random hair weave / track sitting there for two days (which is about the full duration of our stay before we decided to leave) 3. The bedding was ripped, and reminded me more so of a motel bedding. 4. The Ac units in the room, actually that's enough to say, considering this is Texas and ac units as opposed to central ac is a sign of a motel. 5. The pillows of the bed were throw pillows inside of a regular pillow case. I have photos. 6. The toilet decided when it wanted to flush, and we had such poor service from the front desk that we wouldn't dare ask for their help. 7. Speaking of the front desk, there was no phone in the room, so if we wanted to share our numerous issues, we had to go to the front desk. 8. Speaking of getting to the front desk, the elevators, though they only had 4 floors to navigate, were so slow, I'm certain they're not up to code. 9. The sink faucet is too short for the sink, weird to say but washing hands was definitely a task with having to touch the back of the sink. 10. The shower had no place to put your shower gels or soaps, and didn't offer any dispensable ones from the hotel. 11. Room service never came to our room and we actually booked 7 nights, of which we only stayed 2, and we had to go to the front desk twice a day to get towels and wash clothes, which were rationed out by the front desk, and were one per person. We tried to just get the amount for the number days we'd be there and they wouldn't let us. 12. The towels and wash cloths were thin and small, and probably ready to be thrown out. This only heightened the feeling of this being a motel and not a hotel. 13. The ironing board looked like they got it from a dumpster, and the iron wasn't functional, which left my mom and I searching for an iron after midnight just to not have wrinkled clothes, especially since we didn't have hangers. I should also add, that there were also no dressers so there was no place to store your clothing, at all. This is my mom and I's second stay at a Wingate by Wyndham in two different states. At first we thought it was just the state we were in that had such poor quality of a facility, but after staying at the Richardson Texas hotel, I'm certain that the entire franchise of Wingate by Wyndham is a motel branding itself as a hotel, of which neither I nor my mother will ever stay at again. No one should have to experience this, ever, and I'm detailing my issues here so you can read this and never stay here. The only pro is that they did refund me for the nights we didn't stay, and honestly that's the least they could do. Oh, and I'm glad we didn't settle and left to go stay at the Doubletree down the street. Similar pricing and 1000x better.
Being Remodeled
Room was nice as just remodeled. Unfortunately remodeling was still underway during my stay so noise of workers till late at night. Likely not an issue for a future stay. No easy available plugs in room near bed. At 8 am there was next to nothing left I could eat for breakfast, so I skipped. Seemed to be no attention by management. I think hotel remodeling affected rating and scant service. Expect when done might be okay.

Infested with Roaches
Do not book a stay at this hotel! It is moldy and disgusting. The ceiling tiles are moldy and stained from leaks. The room was covered in roaches (on the bed and on the walls). DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.
Disgusting!! Hotel should be condemned…
The hotel is extremely dated and has a foul odor throughout property. There were holes in the hallway walls, where pipes were visible. Wallpaper was falling apart everywhere, decor was rusted and breaking apart. The room was filthy and smelled of mildew. The front desk didn't assist at all. Completely unacceptable property as a whole!
Many issues!
Cleanliness of hotel was sub par. Stains throughout carpet areas. Wallpaper falling off 2nd floor walls. Cockroaches coming out of bathroom electrical outlets. Phone, alarm clock and safety latch on door to room not working. TV service and internet not working. Breakfast offered was not to standards.
Dont go... no vayan

Avoid staying here
First of all, I had reserved a room with two queen size beds. But when we checked in, we got a room with a king bed and a sofa bed. When we entered the room, it smelled like someone had been smoking there. We went back to the front desk to complain, and what they did was give us some air freshener to spray in the room. I kept the air conditioner running to try to decrease the smell. There was no coffee maker in the room. The drawers were all dirty. The carpet was stained, and there were solid pieces of something ground into the carpet. We had to go to the front desk to ask for bedding for the sofa bed, as there was none in the room. In the morning, when I went to take a shower, I noticed that a big hole had been cut into the ceiling over the bathtub which had been sort of covered with a piece of drywall. I thought that this hole was a perfect place for cockroaches to get into the room and, sure enough, when I finished my shower and picked up my shoe to put it on, I found a cockroach hiding under the shoe. I found another roach on the bathroom counter. These roaches were dying, so I think that someone has sprayed for them, but still. I have seen a total of six roaches in this room. I have flushed three down the toilet, but the others got away. Unfortunately, I had booked for three nights here. Due to our circumstances, we decided to stay. This hotel has the potential to be very nice. The decor is nice, with paintings on the walls, dark wood furniture, and black granite counters in the bathroom. But it has been neglected. There are stains in all of the carpets, not just those in our room. There are holes cut into the walls which were never sealed up properly. I give two stars because it is not actually the worse hotel I have ever stayed at. My son would actually give it three stars. But I do not recommend staying here.
DO NOT STAY HERE
DO NOT STAY AT THIS DISGUSTING HOTEL, SLEEP ON THE STREET INSTEAD. The most disgusting hotel I have ever seen. Cockroaches all over the room, Water leaking out of the dresser somehow? Mold in multiple places. Then after the front desk guy on the weekend moved us to another room he walked in with us and immediately 2 cockroaches. And he tried to walk me out so quickly when I pointed that there are still two cockroaches VISIBLE in the room??? That's when we packed our bags and asked for a refund. He gave us a partial refund because we already checked in for 1 night. He told us to call back the next day when his manager was there to get a refund on a place that we LITERALLY COULD NOT STAY AND DID NOT STAY. So that's what we have been doing for the next few days and we still haven't been able to talk to him. Been on hold for multiple hours and was hung up on multiple times saying they wont give us a refund even when they told us they would. The front desk staff also refused to let us speak to the manager. It was guy who worked on the day shift during weekdays so of course when I called, he would refuse to let me speak to a manager and kept telling me to call back. Really do not appreciate being lied to and being rude to by a hotel that we paid for and never get the services. We were also not able to speak our opinion or voice our situation because the front desk person did not let us speak to the manager? And they would just hang up on people or let you be on hold for hours. Literally HOURS.
Totally trashed
The wall paper was torn, old water damage to walls and floors, carpets were filthy, the room stunk, and people were smoking in the hallways and rooms.
Watch how much they charge you
There was missing tiles in the ceiling and the carpet was wet, it smelled like weed through the whole lower lobby, the shower was nasty. I also booked with my points and was charged $29.99 (should have been $0) and I've called multiple times and all I get is they don't know why and the manager will look into it and call me back. It looks nice on the outside and very trashy inside
Terrible existence
I paid full price for a beat down, smelly, humid, unsanitary hotel stay. If I hadn't already booked the room and wasn't already exhausted by the time I got there at 11:30 PM, I would have refused to stay. And now I wish I had refused
Not 3 star hotel
This is definitely not a 3star hotel. Trash bag above the shower. Bath rag stuck in a hole where a light is supposed to be. Soap from previous stay still in the holder. Whole place is just dirty. If I could leave I would. Three tiny pillows for king bed, what?! See pictures. Bed is comfy tho.

NO recomiendo este hotel las habitaciones olia mucho a humedad, No tenian lock la puertas, la llave del baño tenia sarro, el baño tenia moho, la cama estaban muy duras, la carpeta estaba muy sucia, la TV estaba quebrada y el A / C No funcionaba, el edificio esta muy deteriorado por dentro, te cobran un depocito por si dallas las habitaciones yo tome fotos de como me dieron las habitaciones : (
DO NOT BOOK! WASTE OF MONEY
The whole stay was bad from the start! I got there way after the checking in time (at around 5pm) and the room wasn't ready as it still was being cleaned! Later that night I decided to order Uber eats and I had the delivery guy call me all scared saying he had got stuck in the elevator was pressing the alarm button and no one helped him. It took me several calls to the front desk to advice them that someone was stuck in the elevator. Then the next day all day there was construction noise next to my room. In the afternoon I called the front desk to request an extra blanket and after an hour no blanket. I went downstairs to sollicit the blanket and was told they would bring one up! I never received the blanket. The day after plumbing came in my room and started working in the restroom for a long while. Keep in my mind I was recovering from surgery and couldnt move nor lift heave weights. I went down to reception explained the situation and had to wait for almost an hour to recieve a new room having to repack and move. Once I got to the new room I started settling and the room smelled of mildew and construction noises once again. The restroom floor was semi flooded due to a leak from the toilet. At that point it was my last night, was very upset and frustrated and didn't want to have to move again. If I knew the hotel was under construction, I would've never booked it! There was no mentioning about the on going construction! Customer service was bad every time I needed it!

The Lady at the front desk Guni is the best always friendly the best thing about our stay. I was here more than a week it was nice

The front lady was very flexible and accommodating. She made sure we were able to check in early and was very kind to us. It was a very pleasant stay overall. I would recommend this place if you're looking for something quick and accommodating with friendly people.
Creepy front desk employee
My girlfriend was staying here a few nights and the indian man at the front desk had followed her upstairs asking if " she would like for him to join her ". On 3 separate occasions he knocked and continued to knock on her door and unlocked the door and entered her room. I was there to answer the door so he decided to leave rather quickly. 0 / 5 experience. Very unprofessional. Extremely creepy. I highly recommend not going here if you are a woman and alone.
Dump
People at the front desk were Terrible. Guy was on his phone the whole time while checking us in. Came down to report that the toilet was not working. He made me wait until he was done texting. The whole place smelt like weed the whole time. Place was gross!
Worst hotel- don't stay here
Worst hotel and I recommend everyone to do not stay in this hotel. The guy who works at Front desk was very rude and Manager is not there to resolve the issues. We were promised that manager gonna call tomorrow but it's been 4 days I didn't get call back and didn't get my refund amount

Worst hotel and management
Very irresponsible manager and very rude front desk staff. We were given a room without a key card and everytime the staff has to come and open the door for us. None of the amenities in the room worked. Neither microwave, nor locker nor ac cooler (making very loud noise and not letting us sleep). We were promised for a room change the next day but they failed to do it and inturn just didn't care about giving us a solution despite of waiting there for hours until late in the night. They were not even bothered to give us a refund even when we wanted to check out a few days before than what we booked. The comforters and pillows were smelling bad. It was very suffocating. Such a worst hospitality and maintenance by this hotel. They don't care about customer experience at all. I would never return back to this hotel and never recommend to anyone for sure.
Arnold needs a raise !!!
Arnold was the absolute best !!! And our room was clean and quiet and we enjoyed our stay very much. The continental breakfast was a little lacking, but that's ok. There is plenty of restaurants around to choose from. All of the staff were great but Arnold was just amazing to us and so nice. Very helpful as well
Would not recommend
There was a lot of foot traffic in the lobby. Guests maybe coming in and out. Or family of staff hanging out. Check in was fine. Overall it was polite but not very professional. The hallways were dark and damp. The wall paper was falling apart in some places. At a glance the room looked approachable. When settling in I notes the outlet sockets were falling off / not screwed in and the lamp plug looked burned. The door latch was missing screws and did not look secure. Up keep of the hotel is not there. For the price it would be a stretch to say it was acceptable. Not a very relaxing stay for a solo traveler. They are definitely hitting their target audience bc they looked busy but I am not their target audience.
Bugs
It appeared fine at first glance but the halls smelled funny.. I thought should be able to sleep one night. But I do not do bugs of any kind… specially roaches…when one walked across the cabinet I was out of there.
One of the worst
Bug problems. Had to switch room because tv, microwave and fridge did not work. Overall room just had no good standards furniture not kept good. If I saw another Wingate I wouldn't think about staying because of this hotel.
Stay away
I was very unhappy with your staff member who worked the day shift on 12 / 27 / 23. The staff was very rude and impolite, he yelled at me and told me to shut up then threw a binder right in front of my face. As my husband was in the shower on 12 / 27 / 23, the water got turned off. I tried calling the front desk several times, but no one answered. I then proceeded down to the lobby along with my 8 year old daughter to see what was going on. I simply asked what has happened to the water. He brushed me off before I could finish my sentence. He told me to shut up in front of other hotel patrons. He threw the binder that was on top of the counter right next to my face. He then told me to leave the hotel that he is calling the cops. He screamed at me and told me to get out. My daughter got scared and started crying. I felt so humiliated in front of the other hotel guests. I told him that he hotel should have put up a notice that the water will be cut off. He said that I am privileged. I asked for the manager but was told to leave that he already called the cops. I felt embarrassed and belittled by him. I need this matter to be looked into. I have never experienced such a horrible person.
Disgusting hotel and disgusting owner
Terrible customer service, disgusting hotel, the hallways were dark and dirty looks like from a horror movie. Terrible owner said he would refund me I only was there 10 minutes of of course no refund. Do not stay here!
Everything & Everyone is Staged
General Manager Ken, My name is Chester Randall III, I booked a reservation Agoda with your Motel. Upon arriving, your front desk employee Siddhi made several Jokes one guessing my Nationality. Let that blow by I started to communicate with her about my reservation. I also requested a room with a view on the fourth floor. She said that she would do her best and gave me a room on the second floor. Also, she said that she needs to take a $50 deposit, or she would be fired by her Manager. I requested room with no smoking she, gave me room 201. Arriving to the floor it had a very bad order of cigarette smoke. I tried the Key to my door and it didn't work. So I went back down stairs, to let Siddhi know of the issue. Before I left the desk the first time there was, a gentleman. Who just checked in before myself & said that his key didn't work. She went to the back of the office from where the front desk is, stayed back there seemed a long time. Then came back out. She said try this key. If it doesn't work come back down & I will have to let you in. With a Master Key, she stated that the system was down. So I went back upstairs and tried again. At this moment I was very frustrated as it was already very early in the morning and All I wanted to do was lay down and get some rest. So she took me back upstairs with several guests My thoughts and feelings on the whole situation was those guests where regulars & more than likely stayed there like it was there home. Siddhi let me know that the system was down and there was nothing she could do. She gave me the two keys back to me at the front desk. As we all got upstairs and she took the two card keys back from me unlocked the the door, With what appear to be with the key card that didn't work for me. Then she kept them and walked away to help the other guests, that I felt like where apart of everything that was happening. The room smelled like smoke and had another unpleasant aroma in the air. I walked over to the window and looked out and there was not even a pleasant view in which I requested & she said that she would work hard to give me. Also the second time to the front desk I let her know about how inconvenienced all this was and that I should get my deposit returned to me immediately she, said that she would let the manager know about the issue and have him release the deposit faster than the five business days. After my third time to the desk there where even more so called guest and the front desk in defense of the front desk employee Siddhi & the issue. I let her know that I was over the whole situation and wanted my deposit back and wanted to just end the reservation. She stated that she could do that or find me another room, I said to her on the fourth floor she said yes on the fourth floor. Then she turned around and said no we have nothing on the fourth floor. Right then I just put my foot down and said I wanted to end the stay immediately, and my monies returned to my methods of payment's she said that there was nothing she could do. My companion was unhappy with her response and said that there was more that she could do. Like calling the third party and Let them know about the issue, and give back my monies. That's what she should do. Siddhi at that point refused to do that. So I had to call the third party myself, they said that they would call your Motel and speak with Siddhi, before that happened I walked back the the front desk and let Siddhi know the Agoda will be calling her so please answer the phone. I let the Agoda agent know that if for some reason she doesn't answer the call that she could speak with Siddhi on the device I was using. Siddhi did not answer the Agoda representative call. So I had to let Siddhi speak with the agent on my Companion's phone. They went back and fourth Siddhi gave the Agoda Agent the Wrong ID number for your property several times. By this time several more other guests arrived and seemed truly agitated on what was taking place with my issue. Like watch dogs or something. I'm assuming Siddhi contacted you and was speaking in another language and Acquired the proper ID for your Motel, as she was explaining she was speaking like the issue was humorous. So she provided the Agoda agent with the proper ID for the property. At this point Siddhi seem to be irritated and the Agoda agent requested that Siddhi did not need to yell at her as she was just trying to help get this issue resolved. By this time I was super tired and just wanted all of this to end & go find somewhere else to go lay my head. I am writing you to let you know about the issue and if you could please get Monies, from the deposit returned back to my card sooner than later. As I didn't even stay my reservation with your establishment. Siddhi said she would get you to do that as well. Just want to make sure she honors her word and what she said she would have you do. Also Siddhi didn't want to give a recipe of the deposit, she finally did, I am attaching That receipt to this email. I look forward to a favorable response. I thank you in advance. Disgusting rooms
They have a terrible bug problem. Killed three different bugs during my stay. The bathroom was disgusting, there were blood stains on the bathroom counter and floor. The carpet also had blood stains and the pillow cases and " clean " towels were dirty. I asked for clean pillow cases and sheets and they said that there was no house keeping. When I laid on the bed, I felt so itchy like there were dust mites all over the covers. Also the fire alarm went off at 4 in the morning. Just an overall terrible stay. Checked out a day early. Couldn't take it.
Don't stay here. Photos misleading
Do NOT stay here. Photos are very misleading. The room is dirty. There is mold on the ceiling. Dirty bathtub. Dust on the curtains when you try to pull them back. The first night I stayed here, Neighbor's kept me awake from super loud noise until 2:30 am. Then the fire alarm went off at 4:30 am due to something going on in their kitchen. Breakfast was sparse. No coffee. No fruit. Sausage was not cooked very good. No eggs. I tried a waffle, but threw it away as it was not too good either. I thought about not coming back the 2nd night. But I had already paid for it. I am mentally and physically exhausted as I've been at the hospital all day with my father as he is very ill. I get back tonight and asked the front desk how it is best to proceed should I still have the same loud neighbor's. The man said to just call the front desk and they would take care of it. Well, it's loud again and presently 1 am. I've tried to call the front desk several times, but there is no answer. I even tried calling reservations, and they tried calling the front desk. But still no answer. This is so frustrating!!!!! I will never ever stay in a La Quinta Wyndham Hotel again. Disgusting room, elevator filthy and crappy service.
THE WORST HOTEL EVER!
This was one of the worst hotels I've been to. Roaches, unsanitary conditions all throughout the rooms. We were moved to 3 separate rooms and they were all dirty. My girlfriend could not rest she was up terrified and I couldn't sleep due to her discomfort. This has to stop and I even tried to get a refund and they would not do it. Terrible customer service and lack of ethics.

see previous notes- need a lot of cleaning and some furniture upgrade. fix room smell- not very inviting. replace ironing board, clean tv controller, repaint bathroom door and wall. clean floor. clean elevator door inside. clean lobby chairs, breakfast. there were jams but no way to use them. sliced bread and toaster would be good.
Wheelchair users stay away
Trying to negotiate a wheelchair to the front entrance has too steep inclines. One sidewalk is so damaged that using a wheelchair is quite hazardous. The accessible rooms are too far from the elevator. They need a stool so any disabled person can take a shower. Other than that, it was a good hotel and room, just for able-body people.
One night only
If a bed for a night is your desire, this works. The location is convenient to major roadways and yet still quiet at night. If security and cleanliness are what you are looking for, I might look elsewhere.
Slept well and it was clean
This quiet place is great for the price! The room and the area were clean. I slept well and had a good, free breakfast. The in-room coffee makes me feel welcome. I wish the eco-charger was functioning. I feel that an electric EV charging is no longer working and I feel that option was a good perk. Charging overnight is a treat. The staff is warm and professional. I would stay again.
Great customer service
So I travel a lot I have stayed on top rated hotels to the motel 6. Every time i am in town I come there just the best service always friendly and they go out of there way to help someone. Overall just great staff here so thank you.
A lot has changed
Honestly I stayed at this hotel constantly 10 years ago and I really enjoyed it but it has changed a lot. It was gross, I felt icky walking in the elevators weren't working, the lights were flickering... stains on towels, ceiling, floors, walls, pillows etc. the shower wasn't working. the night front desk guy was literally yelling at a guest and didn't seem to care about his job at all. My keys stopped working multiple times. A guest was given the wrong room keys and fully walked in on another guest in their room so I really didn't feel safe at night knowing that this could happen. Not the best experience and I most likely will not be returning.
Hope you don't need a receipt; you won't be getting one
The rooms are nice and location is good but lots of creepy people hang around the property. Management is unresponsive. Doesn't answer phones and keeps saying their system is down so they couldn't check people in or provide a receipt. I won't make the mistake of staying here again.
Terrible Experience... I would never ever stay here again
My was experience was terrible from the time I walked in. Their were some people just walking around outside, in and out the door. Didn't seem safe at all. My room was dirty, towels were left on the bathroom sink, and it literally looked like someone had just used the bathroom. I had to flush the towel because stuff was left in it. Trash was in the trashcan. The TV did not work. ALL I COULD GET FOR ALL OF THAT WAS AN apology. No new room that night, or anything.
I will never go back
As soon as I walked in I could tell it was going to be a rough stay. Dark, dingy and damp smell. It felt like I was staying at a 1 star motel. My key card kept not working and my room smelled. Never again.
Terrible experience
I was not happy with my stay. The toilet didn't work, I wasn't able to stay there and I had issues with my reservation cancellation bc they refused to help me with a refund even though I followed cancellation policies. They were also unsympathetic to my situation and had no remorse for how uncomfortable and upset I was about this situation. I'm actually still waiting to hear back about my refund and nobody has even had the curtsy to reach out to me about this situation. I have to keep calling and getting no real answers. It's extremely unprofessional. Elevators didn't work, plumbing did not work, and the AC unit was not adjustable, ect
DIRTY HOTEL
I waited to give my review but it has been one week with no response from them. I would of given a 4 / 10 initially because the guy was nice at check in, but since they have been giving me the run around they deserve a 0 / 10. This hotel was FILTHY. The pictures do not represent the hotel honestly. The hallways are musty and hot. Stains everywhere, the hallways smell of vomit and the rooms were so dated with filthy, stained ridden carpets. Blood on the wall in the bathroom and a broken, wobbly toilet. I did not stay and asked for my refund once I checked in and immediately checked out. I have been lied to everyday saying the manager will call me and has yet refunded me my $324. I would not book here nor do business with these crooks.

My room was clean and nice. That was the only good point Pool was broken, one Elevator was broken and the other wasn't working properly, Worst Breakfast EVER, Is was a shame how much work needed to be done. Please find somewhere else to stay
Hotel fire!
Hotel was fairly decent but there was a fire and we had to evacuate and then leave completely in the middle of the night with no where to go. The staff did not try to get us in a sister property or anything. My son had a combine to attend…. He had very little sleep, no where to get dressed, shower, eat. We were really put out and the staff did not give us any recommendation, options or direction... no assistance at ALL!
My trip to the Homewood Suites
Probably one of the worst experiences I've had at a hotel recently. There are certain things that a property must have; one of these is an operational shower. The shower in our room had a faulty mixing valve, and was unable to get water to the correct temperature or pressure. When looking closely at the handle I could see that maintenance had been working on it. But instead of replacing the handle and / or the valve, and making it right, they just let the customer have to deal with it. Towels were old and torn. I hit my leg on a bed frame that was sticking out - a hazard. The fold out bed had no bedding, and when I asked for a blanket they thought it was the end of the world. No blankets. Why? They had 3 baseball teams staying at the property. Customer service also had an attitude that I did not appreciate. This property is operated by Still88, they may provide value to their investors but they do so by cutting costs on amenities for customers, such as operational showers. Its one thing if you are unaware of a maintenance issue, but if you are aware there is a problem and do not fix it - that's deliberate. Not a good shower, not a good night's sleep, poor customer service and definitely not a good value. We solved this problem by staying at the Homewood Suites.
Disgusting, moldy
I read the reviews and figured there was a good amount of positive ones. However we experienced every negative problem we read about. The tub leaked water, the elevator was disgusting. The breakfast wasn't ready when they said it was. We had a horrible mold problem in our room. It was her to breath and making us sick. Initially they didn't want to give us a new room. However after speaking with the housekeeping manager we were put in a new room with just as much mold there was fecal matter on the walls in the bathroom. The appliances were Rusty and the linens were stained. Jon at the front desk was very rude and had horrible bed side manners. I love a good deal when it comes to hotels. However is rather pay the extra money to stay in a cleaner one.
It's Fine
This Hotel is just fine for the price point. It's clean, staff is friendly, rooms are nice and well appointed. Beds are comfy. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet. It's also in great location for access to the Richardson Tech Corridor. Lots of great restaurants very close. It's a bargain for under a hundred bucks.

Me pareció un excelente hotel, tiene una muy bonita fachada, una piscina decente, estacionamiento amplio, y una buena ubicación con sitios de comida a los que puedes ir caminando. La habitación era limpia, amplia, y muy equipada como en ningún otro hotel que alojé antes, por ejemplo, en este pude planchar mi ropa sin pagar lavandería ya que contaba con una plancha en la habitación y una tabla. También había café, té y otros para consumir sin cobro adicional. La cama y sillón fueron cómodos, la televisión no presentaba problemas. El Wi-Fi me funcionó de manera excelente, lo comenté así en la propia encuesta del hotel. El personal de recepción era amable y educado, con un ambiente tranquilo, computadores, café y té a disposición del usuario, y un desayuno muy confortable. Mi única queja sería que la caja fuerte no funcionaba, pero de todas manera no se me perdió nada, y el aire acondicionado quizás podría ser un poco más moderno para ser aún menos ruidoso. Al hacer check out tampoco revisaron mi habitación antes de facturar, evitándome así hacerme sentir como un sospechoso como ocurre en otros hoteles y que finalmente te cobran hasta el agua que pudiste tomar en la habitación. Sólo recomendaría que el personal de recepción conociera un poco el idioma español y que existan adaptadores para la electricidad, ya que tuve que cargar mi Smartphone a través de mi Laptop que si conectaba en sus enchufes. Muy recomendable, volvería a ir.
Overall grest
Hotel was great. Staff was friendly. The hotel fit our needs. King bed (was super comfy) with sofa bed. There was a microwave and a refrigerator, and even a safe. Air-conditioner worked great, our room stayed cold. The room was clean for the most part. A little more detail could go into the cleaning process though. Wifi seemed to work good, I did not encounter any problems with this. The breakfast Variety was good. Eggs, potatoes, biscuits, cereal, yogurt, waffles freshly made, pastries, toast, fresh fruit, juices and milk. The breakfast area to eat was nicely decorated and roomy. They were quick to refill our breakfast needs. On a side note.... They did have 2 water heaters bust, right before we got there. However they were already working on getting it fixed because it had flooded. There were several people working on this when we got there. We didn't encounter any problems with this, we stayed on the second floor. Yes it was a bit noisy, because of all the fans and a little messy, but again they had a problem, but seemed to be working on it to the best if there ability. Overall I would stay here again, when I visit this area. This is a nice safe place to stay when traveling to the Dallas area, it was right off the freeway.
Clean & comfortable property
I regularly visit my family in Richardson and decided to stay at a hotel which I have never tried. Wingate by Wyndham is easily accessible with ample parking. My wife and I were permitted to check in early and headed to our room. Our room, like all of the hotel was spotlessly clean. The bedding was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The room conveniently included a safe, mini refrigerator and microwave. We used the Fitness Center which consisted of 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical, 1 recumbant cycle and a limited rack of dumbbells. Towels are available, but there is no water cooler. The complimentary breakfast was pretty good. The offerings included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, a waffle station, yogurt, fruit and a variety of hot and cold beverages. All in all, the staff was very good and the accommodations were clean and comfortable.
Excellent service with contemporary decor.
I own a medical imaging software company (www.kjayamedical.com) and one of our data center is in Dallas. I travel from San Diego where I live to organize things with the local staff from time to time at our data center here in Dallas. I enjoy staying at this hotel and it fulfills all my needs. The Wingate by Wyndham Richardson is my home away from home. I have stayed here many times now and I have grown to like my stay each time. What's best, you don't have to fork out five star prices for five star service and stay. My wife wouldn't stay anything less than a five star hotel, not that she is obnoxious, but we want a comfortable stay when we are traveling. I can vouch for her that she would approve this place. The staff here are very friendly, helpful and the place was recently renovated to a contemporary look. The rooms are spacious and the beds are heavenly. The WiFi Internet is excellent and has great bandwidth for me to do some heavy duty work while I am in the room. Outside, there are even plugins to charge electric cars. My last stay really touched me to write this review. That day, I waited at the San Diego airport to get on board a delayed flight to Dallas for five hours. Then when I landed in Dallas, my rental car reservation was canceled automatically because my flight was delayed. I managed to get a rental car eventually on a day where no rental car was available, but I got stuck behind on traffic on 635 just 6 miles away from the hotel at midnight! Yes, traffic in the middle of night!! Just that kind of a day! Arriving late, I was looking forward to having dinner at my favorite hang out and eatery place across the street from the hotel, but I learned upon arrival that the restaurant is now closed for good. What a day! So, when I saw that note welcoming me with my personal name on it from the staff at Wingate, with a bag of pretzel, chocolate and a bottle of water, in touched me. That bag was essentially my dinner that day! It was a long day, and good thing I was in my comfort zone at this place. I highly recommend anyone to stay here!
Average hotel
Hotel has a musty smell in the hallways. I had to move from my first room due to the sewage smell coming from the toilet each time it was flushed. I requested maintenance the morning after the first night and was told it could not be fixed. The Desk Manager offered a room change which I took after checking out the new room first. My old room had a musty odor and I did not want to move to another musty room. The second room was much better. I had a problem with getting my room serviced and was told I should call the desk each morning before 11am to let them know to service the room. I have never had to let someone know to service a room!! Thanks to a very patient Desk Manager, Leslie King, for being patient and understanding my frustration and managing a remedy.
Nice place to stay
Enjoyed my stay at the Wingate in Richardson. The staff is excellent and very gregarious. Breakfast is nice and they have good coffee! The location is perfect, close to Highway 75, and all of Richardson and North DFW.

Mediocre
The lobby is lovely. It is about the only thing updated though. There was a smell emanating from the vent on my floor by the elevator. Our room was okay. I went to the laundry facility to find only ONE washer and dryer..... when you are traveling for days and have a family, this is an issue. I got to use the washer once in 8 hours. If you are a busy person, not the hotel to try and wash your kids' clothes!!

The property was an excellent price performer. My only issue was the room odor which was not fresh. It might have simply been an odor created by new carpet. It was not offensive but just not pleasant. I believe the room odor is probably easily solved. I will return to this property in the future.
SECOND AND LAST BAD EXPERIENCI TO ME AND MY FAMILY
The service at night was terrible and uncomfortable, the guy in the reception was sarcastic and treated us like a stupids, we reserved two weeks ago but he didn't understand our request, we were at midnight tired with my two daughters and my wife but he only insisted to gave us a room with a sofa and a full bed, when we paid for two queen beds. After 25v minutes he told us, he will trying to solve my problem, while he was smiling like a crazy. I promise to everybody we never come back to this hotel. It was second time with the same guy. the room was with bathroom in bad condition, the carpet smelled like humid and fungus. I did to report and I know in the future I will never use any hotel by Windham. Bye.
ROACHES
There were roaches in my room. When I went to changes rooms, the attendant asked what size were they. Sorry but that doesn't matter, there shouldn't be any creatures in my room. I could have stayed at the LaQuinta down the road and received better service. if you get room 317 say NO!!!!
Nice hotel
This hotel was nice. They had breakfast (eggs, bacon, biscuits) plenty of parking washing and dryer, and located in a very convenient area. My room was a king and sleeper sofa. There were no extra blankets for the sleeper sofa but housekeeping provided it once I made the call to them. Overall not bad at all for the price and a hot breakfast.

Average hotel, I could tell the carpet had not been vacuumed recently. The smoke alarm in my room also had a bag over it, the room had a smell to it. I spent limited amount of time in the hotel so it wasn't worth switching or complaining.

Great, Clean Hotel For The Price!
My sister and mom came to visit and with construction going on at our house, they couldn't stay with us. I found the Wingate in Richardson for $65 a night and with the decent reviews I thought I'd have them stay there. They really enjoyed their stay. They said the beds are really nice. Kind of on the soft side. The staff was friendly. I checked out the room and it was a good amount of space, good working AC a little pool etc. They said they really couldn't hear the neighbors and housekeeping came quick. They said the continental breakfast was mediocre.. but what free breakfast is amazing? For $65 we'd highly recommend this hotel! It's near the train which we'd hop on to get downtown. They did say the WIFI wasn't that great. Very slow but enough to text and send a few emails.
Relaxation and tidy hotel
I'm pleased to write a comment about such a hotel. I was afraid before I arrive in the reception and felt welcomed. Checking in process was fast and rooms are really tidy and clean. Tv channels options were great and services available in the hotel helped me enjoying my stay more. I was also serprised that big companies in US recomended this hotel.

Very pleasantly surprised with the accommodations at the Wingate in Richardson, TX. Nice Happy Hour when we arrived (although sodas would have been nice since we don't drink beer or wine). Very nice complimentary breakfast. Loved the Texas waffles. Staff was very friendly. Wonderful beds. Excellent location for the places we were going. Great value on Hotwire. Our entry light was replaced before we could even report that it was out.
Noisy visit
The water something had burst the night before we arrived. All around the bad. inn were fans and heating units trying to dry out the floors ans walls. The noise was really bad near the desk and elevators. The room we had were quiet enough to sleep, but having breakfast in the morning was

This was a very clean property that was reasonably priced. And, there was breakfast included, which was a nice surprise. Staff were welcoming and helpful.
Home away from home
I always stay here when visiting Richardson. It is a hotel I am very comfortable with and the staff always goes out of way to make me feel at home! Brant and John are excellent at taking care of all my needs and i always get a comfortable and clean room. I also enjoy a 3 mile walk in area and feel safe in the neighborhood when visiting there.

A great alternative to the Doubletree, and one of the only hotels near UT-Dallas. The room was clean and quiet, with a sofa, desk, and spacious bathroom. I had been planning to move to a cheaper hotel, but stayed an extra night because this one was so nice AND the price went DOWN on the weekend.
Comfortable room in GREAT Location
Smaller, older style hotel but clean, updated, and comfortable. Easy to get in and out but right on 75, so Plano, Dallas, and Richardson shopping and restaurants are all right there. Good little hot, free breakfast to get you on the way. UT campus where we were taking our kids was five minutes.

Could Have Been Better
When we got in there were fans blowing on each floor, I'm not sure if there was flooding or what but it was very unattractive to guests that visited. The boiled eggs that morning were ice cold and there was no meat for breakfast.
best sleep ever
It was a last minute reservation so we were expecting a so so hotel room. not only did we get a great price but when we walked into our room we were amazed that it was a mini suite. very nice and very comfortable. We fell onto the bed like rocks and had the best sleep ever. AAAAHHHHH!!!!! Leslie, our front desk concierge was very kind and very helpful in the morning at check out and giving us information on signing up for Wingate points. thank you leslie
Nice for a short stay
The room is a bit small but it was clean. Check in was quick even though the lobby was very busy and there was only one person checking in. Soft bed and good breakfast. My daughter and I enjoyed our stay.
UTD Graduation Trip
This hotel was adequate for our brief stay. The lounge area and the rooms were a little smaller than we like, but we were out and about most of the time.
Awesome and Cheap!
This stay was awesome. First let me say the beds were awesome... Soft. Warm. Comforting. I felt like i was sleeping on a cloud. The bathrooms was a nice size and had long lasting hot water. The pool and fitness center i didn't visit. I had a late check in that was quick and easy. The guy at the front that night was awesome and pretty cool. I ended up talking to him for 15min before heading to my room. Electrical outlets spread over the room and near the bed. Overall the stay was awesome and had no complaints.
Not up to Wyndham standards
First impression on check in was not good. We had a lot of luggage and was told there was only one luggage cart in the hotel and it was not available. The receptionist then told us we had two rooms booked, one for two nights and one for 3. We told him we hadn't and he said it was our mistake. We got to our room (believe it was 211). The room itself was lovely. Large bed, sofa, coffee table, desk, tv, safe, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board. The bathroom was well furnished with plenty of towels, toiletries. The issues were that it had been redecorated but the tiles under the sink had not stuck and we're hanging off. There was only one small hook to hang all your towels on the wall. There was also no extractor so the room was very damp and it was hard to get rid of the steam. The air conditioner unit in the room was noisy and we did report this to reception. The room was also noisy due to the lift being next door and the lift mechanism was very noisy. The breakfast is in a very small area in reception with insufficient seating. Even an hour before the end of breakfast items had run out and we're not being replenished. Often there was no bread left. You could choose from fruit, yogurt, pastries, bread, waffles, hot breakfast, juice, coffee, although one day they had run out of coffee. We had to chase reception for them to get someone to replenish it. Our other issue was check out from our room. We had do not disturb sign on our door and still over an hour before we were due to check out, housekeeping were banging on our door. Just another tip. If you are there on a sunday a want a nice quite relaxing time in the reception area, you may not get one. They was a church service going on in the small meeting room and despite it being small they were using a microphone. It was very loud and certainly not relaxing. We were waiting for friends to pick us up for lunch so had nowhere to go until then add there's nowhere to walk from the hotel. Not the best Wyndham we've stayed in.
Repeat stay
Our experience with this hotel was great the first time that we rebooked the next time we traveled to Richardson TX. Beds are extremely comfortable, hot water is instant, room is quiet even though is it close to the highway. Location is ideal for us, easy on and off Hwy 75.
Stinky hallway, breakfast with no taste
Stay away from this hotel. Horrible smell comming from the carpet in the hallway, I felt that all the time during my stay. This is something you can'y just get used to, the smell disqualifies this hotel entirely. The manager is assuring they are trying to get rid of that which obviously is not true. I haven't seen anybody taking care of that. Breakfast with no taste. Outdoor pool littered with leaves. Beds are enourmosly high, you have to watch out during your sleep :) Bathroom, can't say it was perfectly clean. Looked like someone was cleaning in hurry. Unfortunately Wingate hotel influenced my trip in a bad way.

Ants
Ants were on the nightstand, the coffee table, the bed... and no wonder, the room was filthy. There were handprints on the headboard. I couldn't wait to get out of there. A really nice man came and sprayed some Raid but they need a professional to set bait and give the hotel a thorough cleaning. There was a slight odor of urine and bug spray. No shuttle service to UTD campus, but fortunately was only a 10-minute drive away. A sign in the lobby says they're trying to become a 5-star-rated hotel on Trip Advisor but they have a ways to go. For us, ants are a deal breaker.
Very nice hotel
We came to Dallas area to a reward program for authors and the hotel location was perfect. Breakfast was elegant and tasty. Customer service was great. Rooms were spacious and rate was so reasonable. This was probably the best Dallas area hotel I've ever been to.
Don't stay here
We had reservations for two double queen rooms. When we arrived at 10:30 pm, we were told they only had two cleaning staff members all day and they rooms were not cleaned. The front desk told us that the GM was cleaning rooms and he still needed to clean a king room for another guest. The clerk told us we would have to wait at least 30 minutes for our rooms to be ready. Though she was polite, this was ridiculous. We went next door to the Hilton and had a great stay!
Total disappointment it's a 1 Star at most
It was more like a cheap motel The room was dark and very small, the bathroom was as tiny as a closet and the amenities were cheap and sparse, one small soap bar for both sink & shower The towels were thin and rough, the bed was hard.. the free breakfast was a joke One kind of fruit.. over ripe bananas.. dry unappetizing scrambled eggs, no waffles, no pancakes, no ENGLISH muffins, I usually stay at the nearby Hilton doubletree but they were undergoing renovations so I found a new place that had similar stars and the rate was the same What a shock. There is no comparison! The Hilton is a quality hotel with amenities and an attractive lobby The only positive things about the Wingate : the staff was friendly and the room was clean needless to say I would not recommend this place
Not as good as I hoped
This facility is really hard to find. I call the desk number and the person who answered had no idea how to help me find the place. She hung up on me, I call back and go someone who could. The facility is showing its age. The room was clean but really worn out - especially the bathroom. The covering of the decorative pillow had stains. The air conditioner seemed to stop cooling from 2-3 am. I have noticed that in other hotels in the south. The breakfast was ok, but other area hotels do a full fresh breakfast for the same room rate. The king bed was great, slept well except when the room got hot. There was a fridge and microwave in the room - a plus.
Nice stay at an older place
Most of the staff were really pleasant, however some seemed preoccupied with paperwork to help customers. The hotel was reasonable clean. the breakfast was Ok, but something besides biscuits and gravy would have been better. Room seemed a little dark, but clean - good value for the money.

Great place in a nice area, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and businesses, Richardson is a great area to stay; also, the hotel is right next to the freeway so it is very well connected to go to other areas in Dallas. The hotel provides a good balance between price and quality, the premises are modern and clean, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff was friendly. I loved the fact they do happy hour every evening. The TV channel selection was great. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with this place, and I strongly recommend it, especially for business travelers who are looking for an inexpensive place which however has all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay!
Great Hotel. Conveniently located near UT Dallas
We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions since my son started UT Dallas and have been pleased with the rooms and service, especially for the price. The free breakfast is your average free breakfast offering -- waffles, eggs, bacon / sausage, cereal, muffins, breads, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices and coffee. The main complaint I have is that the breakfast seating area is inadequate for the number of guests in the hotel. The tables are crowded so closely together that you frequently cannot get to your table without asking another guest to stand up or " squeeze in " so that you can get past.
Works for me
I am a believer there is always room for improvement. so to get a 5 out of me I have to be totally blown away. Do not expect to be blown away but it has a lot of extras and it meet my expectations. The breakfast was a little disappointing, My 8:30 the bacon was gone and the scrambled eggs were nothing to write home about.
Great Hotel
Everything about the hotel, cleanliness, staff, breakfast, were excellent! The only issue was that there was a mildew smell in my room which was noticeable when the A / C was off. The smell went away when the A / C was blowing cold air. My guess is better air circulation could help?

This is a very old hotel and it shows. I was awake most of the night because the air conditioner made so much noise that it kept waking me up every time it cycled. If that wasn't enough, the water in the bath tub was at a constant slow stream and it wouldn't turn off. I don't know if that's the same with all the rooms, but mine was certainly less than satisfactory. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this hotel.
Wingate
The room was very large. Much larger than expected. The front desk was very helpful and was able to give advice on restaurants nearby. Clean room Breakfast was available. Main lobby was very nice and large area to lounge in.

Great for Business Travel
I have stayed here 4 times this year for business travel. Every time I come to Richardson I stay here! It is very nice, clean, and comfortable. The check in process is super fast and often times I am able to check in early which is a plus. Getting onto wifi is super easy and it has always worked. One day I forgot toothpaste and they came to my room and brought me some! That was great customer service! My only thing I would change is that they still charge for long distance calls. Most hotels have this for free now a days. Overall this is a great place to stay, nice big rooms and great for travel!
Great Bed, Poor Service
The bed was firm and comfortable and good for my wife's problematic back. That was great. But the service was so stingy. Breakfast bar was first come, first served, and when San item (like hard boiled egg) is gone, no more is provided for later risers. And the attitudes of some staff were just not helpful at all.
Unfortunately disappointed
Very displeased with the noise level. My young daughter and I absolutely couldn't sleep. Too many youths in the hotel making noise at all hours. Each time a door closes near you, it's like a gunshot. Trying to get breakfast was a battle and it seemed noone was restocking. I would never stay here again.
My Daughter's & My OU / texas Weekend And A Visit To Dad / Grand-dad
This hotel was clean and affordable considering how close to OU / texas weekend I reserved it for. We enjoyed the enhanced Continental breakfast which included scrambled eggs, sausage, and bacon. The staff was Very friendly and courtious and of course very helpful. Tahnk You and sorry on being tardy on the responce here.
Excellent Stay
When I first got to the hotel after making my reservation, everything was already prepared for me. Check in was a breeze. The next night, I went to blow dry my hair and the blow dryer in the room did not work and the gentleman on the night shift went and found one for me. The room that I reserved was for only two nights and I decided that I wanted to stay and extra couple of nights. I ended up checking into another room and the person at the front desk that morning made it a breeze. My children and I really enjoyed our stay at this Wingate location. Not to mention the free breakfast combined with hot and cold was awesome.
Not up to Wingate standards
Bathroom had holes in the wall. No place to hang towels. No TV channel guide or local info package. Some TV channels such as Fox blocked as well as others. Great staff and Breakfast. Check out the room b / 4 you unpack
Not great
Price & location were good. But overall decor in halls and common spaces was brown & dreary. Swimming pool was closed because of the poolside telephone. Not fixed for the 3 days we were there. Room air conditioning unit was very noisy all night. The bathroom had no towel bars or towel racks at all, and the shower curtain rod sagged downward so the curtain would not close all the way. I went to get ice and the first floor ice machine was broken. And other rooms must have had problems because there was a tool cart left in the hallway for 2 days. To their credit, the breakfast staff was very friendly and helpful.

Taking advantage of sick travelers is poor business
I was traveling and got sick right at the end of my trip. I had to extend my stay by 2 days. The first 2 days were $45 / n, the next was $70, and the last was $129. The hotel was pretty empty of course, but that didn't matter. They knew I was sick and couldn't trade hotels. IMO - this is extremely poor business practice, and I won't be returning.
