Booking Error Response
Funny to select a date for this review- because I was never actually at this hotel in March 2025! I also put solo because I'm guessing that's what the reservation automatically did. I put a search into Google, found this spot that was close, and clicked the hotel's link to directly book. (No 3rd party mistakes here!) Problem was, the website automatically put the reservation as the day I was booking, a mistake I didn't see as I was checking out through my Wyndham Rewards Login. I have just now made a second booking with a different Wyndham company (I guess I'm a sucker) and I almost had the wrong date again, but since I'd been burned, I was able to fix it. It is *very* hard to see what date is being booked when going through the Rewards site. I called this hotel, had to call a few times to get the manager, and she pretty rudely said there was nothing she could do. I still wanted to stay at this hotel for the correct night! I would have taken even a partial movement of my funds for the night I booked (and never stayed) to the night I wanted. When I realized my error, I called the hotel immediately and it didn't make a difference. Stay away from this place!
Avoid at all cost!!
The room smells of a foul odor that can not be fixed. Everything in the room looks old and used. I am currently scared to touch anything in here. The bathroom is the worst I've ever seen. Does not look like it has ever been clean. It is a total scam and I do not know how the have the audacity to sell rooms with the way they look. You would do better at a motel. The front office clerk is insanely rude and the pictures do not tell the story of it all so please beware. Spend a little more and avoid at all cost.
Do not stay here
This place is terrible, everything is dirty and looked used, house keeping sucks, not a bed changed or made, not a floor swept, or a toilet cleaned my whole 4 day stay.. I will never go back, lady at the front desk was rude, save yourself some stress spend a lil more and go elsewhere
Stay Away
I needed to stay at a hotel with an oven in the room so I could bake items for a sales meeting. When I walked into the room a terrible odor punched me right in the face, hard. I tried to air out the room, but decided to go to target for air freshener and cleaning supplies. It was late and I couldn't find another hotel that had an oven on such short notice. When I got back to the room, the smell was angry, I battled it with febreeze and all purpose cleaner along with lysol disinfectant. It helped a bit, but I knew in the end I wouldn't win. The floor had visible dirt. I doubt it's been vacuumed. The kitchen had a sticky layer of old grease on everything. The curtains were off white at the top and quite brown by the time they reached the floor. They were also badly torn and tattered, a single safety pin more to add to the esthetic than for any practical purpose. By this time it was past 11pm, I pulled the sheets back out of morbid curiosity. Stains and long black hair greeted me. Deciding I didn't want a venereal disease, I placed the sheets back where they were, went to my truck and grabbed a moving blanket (at least I know where it's been). Wanting to take my mind off the state of the room. I set down the air freshener and picked up the remote to watch TV only to discover is was BYOB (bring your own batteries). I was a kid in the 90s, so I knew how to use a TV the old fashioned way. I set it to a random channel and watched YouTube on my phone until I fell asleep. The next morning I woke up fully clothed, which was at least efficient and stepped directly into my shoes so I didn't have to put my feet directly on the carpet. I have avoided ringworm my entire life and I wasn't going to risk breaking that steak. I got to work cleaning the oven and started baking bread for my sales meeting (the reason I needed an oven). Luckily I have extensive professional kitchen experience, so I know how to clean a stove. The top rack was broken and wouldn't stay in place, but at this point. I was surprised there were racks at all. I finished my tasks and got out of there as quickly as possible. I was lucky parking was a non issue, there must have been 4 other cars in the lot. I think word must have already gotten out about avoiding this hotel. Now I'm doing my part to let you know. You're going to look at the pictures and think " how bad could it really be " but there some things you really don't need to find out for yourself. Stay at your own risk.
This is a dump and pigsty
Don't stay here. It is dirty, smelly, full of cockroaches. creepy!!! The first room they gave us had a haze of cigarette smoke. The check in gal said, " they all smell like that ". I informed her we had a child with asthma so couldn't take the room. She moved us to another room that smelled but not like smoke. We had been on the road a long time so figured we could suffer through one night. We got into the room. It was dirty, burned out bulbs, missing drains from the sink and bathtub, then came the cockroaches. The breakfast was non-existent. The pool wasn't working, I could go on and on.

This hotel room smell.. the walls is nasty. The refrigerator is old and had rust on it. The smell is the worst. Scared to sleep in the bed. This hotel needs to be shut down and tore down immediately. Do not waste your money
Section 8 Housing, not a hotel
Site photos are very deceptive. Forget about the included breakfast, it doesn't exist. Parking a truck is tricky and tight, bring your car instead. This is Texas, utilize that right to carry if you stay here.
Excellent Stay
Clean rooms and wonderful staff, they are very helpful in answering questions and solving problems quickly. Definitely a large room given the price, and good security on the grounds of the stay. I would highly recommend to any traveller looking for a safe haven.
Don't Stay Heree
I wouldn't let my dog stay nasty infested filthy mfn room the people at the front desk talk to you like shiii me and my family was finna whoop they ahh runnnnnnnn don't stay nasty ahh rooms we saw a rat and roaches nasty tubs and beds horrible nastyyyy
Cool place
I loved this place! Great location with lots of stores and shopping nearby. The staff was very courteous and friendly! Very quiet and the room had great features such as a fireplace and kitchenette with some dishes. A pool and a basketball court and on site laundry facility AND if your a smoker this hotel offers options for smoking rooms!!! The only thing is that some of the furniture was a bit dated but othet than that I loved it! I will definitely visit again!
Comfortable stay
Super accomodating crew. Everything was pretty. I would say above average. It's nice and quiet and not any loud partyers or anything like that. Housekeepers keep the rooms clean and maintained very well. I definitely recommend this place!
Very good service
The staff tended to my needs very well. It all started off with a very quick and easy check in the staff guided us to our rooms and arranged for shuttle service to our conference. I am very satisfied with the house keeping as well the rooms were cleaned everyday.
Bloody sheets at the crackhead motor inn
Upon arrival the exterior appeared ok, but when I went in I noticed what appeared to be a crackhead hanging around. After check in I got to my room and it wasn't horrible but it was clearly not very clean, dirt on the walls, drapes, and along walls, corners, and general filth. I figured I would tough it out for one night and find a new hotel in the morning. When i pulled the covers back on the bed I almost lost my dinner. The sheets were covered in blood. I grabbed my things and promptly returned to the office to cancel and go elsewhere. The desk clerk convinced me to give him a chance to give me a better room. The new room didn't have bloody sheets so i agreed to stay until morning. The condition of the room overall wasn't any better and the clean sheets were torn. The next morning I couldn't get anyone to answer the door to check out so I had to call later to get checked out and cancel any other nights. Overall impression of this Inn is that it's a crackhead hotel rented by the hour by prostitutes.
Disgusting
When arriving at the hotel we dropped our bags and left for an hour…when we got back to the property we did our normal walk-through. This property is absolutely disgusting. Let's first start off with the smell. This is supposed to be a non-smoking room and it reeks of mildew and a wet ashtray. Next thing we noticed was the stain on the top cover and sheets. I asked my husband to go ask if there was another room, they showed us three more rooms and all of them were the same. The icing on the cake was when I went to put my son in the tub and the drain was so disgusting the tub was black. I wouldn't even put a stray dog in there to bathe them. Lastly, I pulled back the sheets and a yellow jacket flew up in my face and landed underneath the drawer of the nightstand. That is when I said we are leaving! I was told I would not be charged and would receive a refund and today I received an email stating they will give me 20% off my next stay at this property…but no refund. Customer service goes a long way in this industry and believe me I know and the boy at the front desk not only didn't offer an apology but was wearing PJs and Nike flip-flops during his shift which reeks of unprofessionalism. When we checked in he asked for a $100 cash deposit and upon us wanting to leave he didn't even remember we had given it to him. Honestly, I should've known better when he asked me for the cash deposit because it just seems shady. I will not be staying here again and I do not recommend it to anybody. Spoke with Lanati.
Budget stay
Very affordable rates for the room, rooms are big and has full kitchen. Was a short trip to the town. Nice comfortable beds. Loft rooms were nice, probably needs minor updates, overall was happy with the price and the location
Disgusting
This place is gross. The concept is great but it needs to be cleaned. We paid $111 for this nasty living situation. I have stayed in lots of Wyndham hotels and this is the worst. I have stayed in Red roof inns and super 8 moteld better than nasty place. The website site says its a 3 star hotel, its should be a 1 star hotel. Just stay away do not waste your money!!
Apartment style
Love love love this location. Staff is super friendly. Very quiet clean and great place for families looking for extended stay. Lots of food places surrounding me. Full size kitchen very spacious similar to an apartment. 5 stars for sure.
Convenient for you extended stay
This place looks like apartments, we visit once in 3 months to this hotel for last 2 years as it feels like a little home in it. Break was limited due to COVID and the rest of the stay was ok with no problems
A bit inconsistent, but worthwhile
At first glance, I was impressed with how much I got at a good rate. On a deeper review, the room was as inconsistent as the internet. In general, the internet was rather speedy, but the through-put was inconsistent. As for the room, the bed was comfortable. It's always nice to find a hotel that still offers smoking rooms. The front desk help was polite and helpful. There is a full kitchen with dishes, plates, pots & pans. A nice sized refrigerator, too. Set-up for longer term stays, it almost feels like a small apartment. However, looking closer, you start to see the compromises. Missing switches, knicked up furniture, a general feeling of " it's sort of clean-ish. " With a little attention to detail, this hotel would be worth twice its price.

It was awful. I felt unsafe and propped chair against door. Kitchen was rusty and greasy. Appliances were OLD. Lobby smelled like gas. Clerk followed me into my room to show it to me. Outside lights didn't work. Stay away from here!
Very dated and sketchy
I stayed here over night for a business trip. My room was very dated. The shower was scary. Weak water pressure and a solid lime deposit where faucet dripped. The front desk staff were good, but they had a policy posted about " partying and loud noise ". So, I can only assume they had problems and a need to post that. My overall opinion can be demonstrated by looking at the soap I had been given for my shower. This soap was in its packaging still, but you tell me if you'd use it...
Very Good Hotel
The hotel serves a delicious food for breakfast.. the staff is very co operative.. the hotel room was very clean and the property have very good facilities. they also provide indian dinner which was very tasty and home away from home.
Tired and shabby
Dreary lobby and breakfast room. Strong odor of Indian cooking which might affect some people adversely. Lots of little pieces of litter all around the property. Gum and candy wrappers, cigarette butts. Small pieces of paper that were there the three days I stayed there. The housekeeper even left my tied up trash on the sidewalk overnight. Some employee parked in the Porte Cochere everyday, so in a downpour I had to park in the red zone to run in to get the newspaper and coffee as I left each morning Few security lights were working and desk person said the timers " must be off ". At check out time the desk person didn't even know how to print my receipt so I had to wait until the " manager " returned from the bathroom. I waited 10 minutes. On the plus side, the bed was great. It was dark and quiet at night. But, the shabby bathroom had someone else's hair all over floor. Had to call for cleanup. Yuk! A very mixed experience.

Great Location with several restaurants and stores available. The room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast wasn't very good, but a kitchen was available. Would stay there again.

Some good, some bad
For the money, I was pleased with the room. It was quite large and had a full kitchen. The bed was very comfortable. My only complaint with the room itself is that the hot water wasn't very hot and there was inadequate water pressure. It took forever to get hot water to the sinks and the water temperature varied as I was showering. But the room was clean and most important to me, the bed was soft and comfy. Also, nice flat screen television. The internet was a bit slow, but adequate. My biggest complaint was the breakfast. According to the woman that was cooking and stocking the breakfast area, a couple of kids that were living at the hotel took all the meat from the buffet server. So, no protein available except grossly overcooked scrambled eggs. This woman didn't have a clue how to cook and maybe if she wasn't in the back staring at her phone, all the meat would not have been taken. Second morning, still no meat. She claimed that the meat for that day was taken by the children the day before. As it turned out, she had bacon in the freezer, she just didn't want to get it out. She did actually get some out, just for me, and proceeded to cook it to the point of being inedible. She said she had never cooked real bacon before. Fortunately for everyone, the next day was to be her last. The only other issue was the lack of ice available. The first day their ice maker was not working. It was the next day, but you have to ask someone to go get it for you because it is not where the guests can get it. That would be okay if the icemakers in the room refrigerators worked or they had ice cube trays, but that was not the case. Overall though, I will stay there again.
my stay at the Wyndham in Richardson, TX
I have stayed at the hotel 3 times. I like the spacious rooms. The area is close to everything. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The only thing that kept me from a 5 rating, is the bathroom could have been cleaner. Trash can was very dirty and I had to put a towel in tub before showering.
good stay, but..
very good maintained property, very friendlich frontdesk (by checkin) large rooms with all the comfort and clean Breakfast attendant : this girl must be very new, because she was not know what she is doing. as I show up for checkout, the pc system was not " working " to print my invoice, so the front clerk said go for breakfast he will fix the printout: The Girl in the breakfast room was looking first on the clock, and I had the feeling I was in the wrong place, then she was not able to provide ALL items for a Continental Breakfast, I had to ask for bread (she was coming out the kitchen with 2 (two) slices of old bread, then I had to ask for coffee, then she tried to fix scrambled eggs (takes forever).... and I know, because I am a Chef for over 50 years!!!!! then as she was brought out the eggs, there was no Utensils to grab the eggs or Sausage, she need a lot of training
Beautiful and spacious Suite at a reasonable price
This was for a few day getaway with my teenage son for his birthday. I went for a suite mainly for him to have the experience as we normally stay in small stuffy rooms. This exceeded my expectations for size, decor and comfort. The only real problem we had was the advertised high speed wireless internet was present but absolutely worthless. To be fair we were told at check in that the internet was problematic but given the impression that this was an ongoing problem and it was as if they didn't really care if they ever fixed it. Still, we went here as a getaway so unplugging for a few days was not much of an issue and I would certainly stay here again.. provided it was not for business or some other event and reliable internet access was a requirement.
Elegant hotel
Loved my stay ! It was very clean and elegant for the price. The personnel were very nice also...
2 night stay
Overall satisfied with room. Did not have alarm clock. Maid entered room on last day of stay while I was still there without knocking. I was checking out but not until 11am and she came in around 9:45am. Only 1 pkg of regular coffee and 2 decaf, would have liked more regular and maybe tea bags.

The room was great but the tv downstairs had issues the kids couldn't watch the disney channel and other channels but other than that i really enjoyed the hotel
Poor customer service
The room was great. Clean, big, affordable. Clerk was rude and uncommodating. Spoke very condescendingly and charged me $200 for a deposit in case I broke anything. I've come here many times and have never had that been a requirement, and no one has accused me of breaking anything or expected me to be a poor customer like he did. I'll most likely not return
Average hotel experience, with some problems
This location provided an average hotel experience with some problems. One major problem was that the WiFi internet was not working in my room. Also, the breakfast buffet is inferior to what is offered at other similar type hotels (scrambled eggs off color, no shredded cheese available), but was included free. Rooms show wear and needed maintenance (WiFi out, peephole busted so image blurred, loose shower rods, long time to get hot water). But price is reasonable for what you get
This is NOT a 3 star property (Old, Dingy, Worn Out, and Musty)
This hotel says it is 3 stars. That is a lie. I would say its a 1.5. This property is very old and run down. Check in was very slow. Front desk personal were courteous, but there was a lack of professionalism in the way they dressed as well as operating procedures. Process took 10 minutes to check in - even though I pre-paid the room through hotels.com. Front desk person took a phone call instead of finishing up with me and showing me where my room was on the property. Its immediate what you are getting (or rather not getting) when you walk into the room. While it is large, has a kitchen, as well as a sofa, it is very run down and smells very musty. Like a very old building. All of the furniture is very dated, looks like typical hotel style furniture, and looks well past time to throw it out. Free Wi-Fi is offered, but we did not test it out. Free breakfast is offered, but we didn't try that out either. Hot water? Not much. Had to crank the knob all the way over to barely get water warm enough to shower with. Shower head is really low! My wife, who is 5'5 ", even complained about how low it was. Bed was comfortable and made for a decent night's sleep. Sleep value would have been improved if the curtains could fully block out the light, but they don't See my pictures below for the damage and disrepair this room was in. Based on the other reviews, I think these pictures are representative of every room.
I am a Wyndham time share holder and I must say that I did.
I am a Wyndham time share holder and I must say that I did not expect a Wyndham property to be this far down the scale. The room was only adequate in appearance, cleanliness, or ready for someone to stay in. I had to request pots and pans, dish washing soap, 2 working phones and still only received 1 working phone. The bad part about the phones were that this facility had an upstairs room with no phone. There was no hot water in the kitchen sink nor was there an elevator even though it boasted of being handicap accessible. The only accessibility they had was downstairs but these were not 2 room suites. With that being said I did appreciate the concept of having the upstairs suite. It gave the room a more homelike feeling rather than a hotel / motel type feeling. The décor was old and the room could of used a fresh coat of paint but we were okay with the room. I can only give an average experience as I would of expected more from a Wyndham property.
Best bang for the buck in Richardson
This hotel remains a great value. We make bi-annual trips to the Richardson area with family and we always stay here. The rooms are spacious and clean and allow up to five adults to sleep comfortably. We will be back.
Great staff, facilities need an upgrade
We stayed at the Hawthorne Suites, and while the staff was excellent, the facilities are lacking. We were told that the hot water was slow, due to the distance from the heater. But after 20 minutes, it was at best lukewarm. Difficult to shower, wash hands, etc. The phone system is very old, and contacting the front desk was not specific, and problematic. While dinner and breakfast were offered, the diner was poor. But the staff were pleasant and did try to help, to the best of their ability.
Never Again
We usually stay at the Hawthorne Suites in Arlington which has great service, Happy hour with beer, wine, etc. and a great breakfast. This Property cannot compare. Happy Hour as the owner called it, was only one hour long with no beer, breakfast was not appetizing, my key didn't work the first time I got to the room, their printer quit printing when I checked out so I did not get a receipt. I asked the person checking me out if they could email me one which they finally figured out how to do. Another person in our party had to change rooms as there was what appeared to be blood in the bathtub. It was also difficult for all four of us (four rooms) to communicate with the owner / operators as they did not speak very good English and we don't speak their language. Our company we work for has a 60, 000 SF office building near there and we talked to everyone the next day at our meeting and found a better place to stay in the future.

Room was clean, a bit dated. Property was a bit dirty, with towels outside of 1 room overnight. free breakfast was just ok, coffee not so much. Parking lot was darker than it needed to be

Overall it was a great experience at Hawthorne. Except for an inadequate onsite laundry facility, the general ambiance and stay quality was great. I would recommend Hawthorne to any traveler to Richardson, Texas who is looking for a decent accommodation.
Not what I expected
Wow! Why haven't I stayed at a Hawthorn Suites before? Very roomy - comforts of home with kitchen - microwave, full refrigerator, stove, pantry; loveseat and fireplace; desk and hookups for business activity, comfy bed and large bathroom / vanity area. I just wished I needed to stay longer! Only downside - it was DARK in the parking lot and entrance to the hotel.
Great place, needs minor updates
the concept of this place was great esp if traveling with children. The upstairs area allows the kids their own space, TV & bathroom. The downstairs with its own TV & bathroom allows room for everyone to get ready without bumping into each other. That said, the kitchenette needs updating and updated appliances & the maintenance on small issues (light bulbs, outlet covers, etc), ensure people don't smoke in non-smoking rooms... but overall worth the money spent for a night or two. We would stay again if we needed to
Great Stay!!!
I must say this is probably the only place I will stay in Richardson while traveling, they offer hot breakfast, as well as homemade dinner nightly. The staff here is truly amazing, customer service I received during my stay was point blank exceptional thank you so much Hawthorn Suites enjoyed my stay.
Good value, needs improvement
The property is old and has not been renovated in a professional manner. Kitchen utensils are not stocked very well. The unit was a loft and the upstairs A / C did not keep the upstairs very cool. It seemed to take a long time for the water to get hot. The free breakfast was nice but not as nice as it used to be. No more shredded cheese for the scrambled eggs. Used to be 4 steam trays of items to choose from, not it is just 2. Noticed the police in the parking lot with people stopped.

They had the same hot food all week, scrambled eggs and lil'l smokies or turkey bacon. You could get something different if you were a permanent resident. Other than that everything was A OK
One Night
We stayed one night and were very please with the value. It looks like this location is undergoing a renovation but our suite was just fine. Quiet and close to our destination.
Could use some maintenance
It's a pretty decent place on the inside, but the outside could use some work. Inside needs some modern touchups but the outside needs quite a bit done. It's a perfectly safe but it looks like it's in the ghetto.
Weekend getaway
The location was okay, it wasnt my first time here. Didnt really make it an extended stay just over night the bed was great slept like a baby once i finally went to bed. It could use some fixing up. We had to be moved from one room to another because of issues with the A / C but they didnt give us any problems with that. Overall i give it 3 stars.
Perfect Location
No WiFi the entire stay of 9 days, no TV for the entire time up stairs and no cable for the first 2 days down stairs. Pool area is very small and they had residence that live there running around like wild animals unsupervised everyday I was there. Couldn't enjoy the pool area unless we were there by or selves a which only happened 1 time for about 1hour.
Unique accomodations
We have 4 children. This room was the best we have ever booked. About the size of a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms. Stairs lead to master suite upstairs. Full kitchen and fireplace. Great service.

Overall a good stay. Breakfast was not ready at the posted starting time on Saturday, 5 / 16. Room was clean and housekeeping staff was efficient.
GREAT accomodations
I was very pleasantly surprised at the accomodations; to my experience a split-level hotel room is a rarity particularly at this price point. I was there with a friend and having two separate areas was wonderful. The staff were very professional and courteous, and were able to help us with every issue we encountered (for example, the TV remotes didn't work due to batteries; they immediately gave us new ones). I'll definitely keep this place in mind the next time I visit DFW. Oh, and they're only a few minutes away from a DART station.
Not one good thing I can say about this property!
Dead bugs... soilded linens... unhelpful staff. As a person who travels on business on a weekly basis, I didn't think quality and service like this existed in 2011. What a rude awakening I had on this trip. Wyndham should be ashamed to have their name associated with this property. It seems like this property has turned into an " extended stay " property, as my " neighbors " seemed to be congragating outside the buildings. It was very intimidating and felt extremely unsafe. Do youself a favor... spend $10 a night more and stay elsewhere. You will save yourself from a sleepless night and several more nights of nightmares that will follow.
Great Deal!
This hotel is quite nice and we stayed in a suite (1 bed upstairs, 1 downstairs). For a little more than $100 a night on a weekend, the price cannot be beat! This includes a great buffet-type breakfast with different selections and a dinner with 2 drinks included! The maid service was also excellent. If the room was a litle larger and updated, I would rate it closer to 5 stars, but it is still a solid 4 out of 5. Be aware, the hotel itself is difficult to find (at a small intersection within the Campbell / Collins intersection), plus the Yahoo map actually gives the wrong directions.

The rooms are clean and newly remodeled. The kitchen includes cook stove, microwave, fridge, dishwasher with most kitchen utensils. A very nice couch, chairs and work desk with internet access. Awesome huge bed and very roomy bathroom. Breakfast and dinner are furnished and all with a smile on every face. The employees are very efficient and friendly.

This hotel was not bad but could use some improvements. The suite was very spacious--lots of room in the living and bedroom areas. The kitchenette was well equiped with all the amenities to cook and serve if you chose to. The ice maker worked very well in the refrigerator. The little decorative touches on the paper towels was a welcome surprise. The place settings on the bar was very tastefully displayed. The suite had lots of closet space--all were lighted. It had lots of mirrors and a very spacious dressing area. The actual shower and commode area was a little tight. The suite smelled nice and was overall clean. One area of concern was the outdated furniture. It was pretty old. The desk had several visible scratches on it. The pull out sofa looked ok. But the tables had multiple visible sratches and scrapes on them. The TV table had several scrapes and scratches on it also. Bring your own soap and shampoo--there must have been a shortage of both. The room attendant did not leave a new set each day as other hotels do. The other concerned I had was the day manager. She did not handle a concern very professionally. She was rude and embarassed me in front of other guest which was not necessary at all. She needs to be reminded or trained to be considerate to the guest because we are her customers!

Dont get excited. It just OK place
This hotel was JUST ok until the lady at the front desk stoped me to take the breakfast plate to my room. All I had on my plate was just 2 or 3 tots! She said to me that I cant take food with me. So, Why do you serve free breakfast ! If you do not want to give away foods, DONT DO IT!!! This is on my 3rd stay. I saw a roach in a kitchen on my previous stay, the same lady said to me that I do not worry about it because that is just water roach. What kind of explanation is that!! I should not see roaches in my room in a first place!!! The water in the bathroom never got hot enough. You can see the coating of bathroom is pealing here and there. This old 1bed room apartment renovated hotel is just ok because I want to use kitchen. That is the only brnefit for me.
Needs a lot of " HELP "
The rooms are old and have been patched with some paint. The front desk staff can barely speak English much less unhderstand. The front desk clerk called Gina said our room was new and there had been no problems reported before. There was hair in the bath tub, a beer can left on the night stand plus a pizza box with old pizza under the bed. The breakfast was cold, the cook Dipika said we should have got there when it was hot. The only fresh fruit was some old apples that looked like they had purchased from Walmart. The owner refused to speak to us. They obviously had hookers working the area but again that Gina said there was no problem We have stayed here before in the past when Marilen worked there and things were better. We will never stay there again!
Could be so much better!
This hotel offers very spacious apartment-like accommodations with small kitchenettes. The rooms could be cleaner and better taken care of. The breakfast room is not well maintained. Items are not replenished and hot items are not warm. Staff seems to monitor what the guests are eating and how much which makes the breakfast experience not a pleasant one. Staff seems to be indifferent to the comfort of the guests which also shows in the rooms where clocks show all different and inaccurate times and ac vents are really filthy. Bathrooms are tiny and air-conditioning has trouble cooling down the upstairs in the larger suites. Pillows are lacking in comfort. Bedrooms are not really private from the common area as there are no doors and coughing, sneezing, and spoken words can easily be heard throughout the unit. On the up-side beds are comfortable and water is hot with good pressure. Overall, this could be a great place if given the proper effort by management. We don't feel that we overpaid despite the concerns as we got the rooms at a good discount.
Dirty
Found an old shoe and other trash under the sofa bed. Getting an extra pillow was like pulling teeth. The breakfast consisted of powdered eggs, country sausage, tater tots and onion rings. There was a waffle maker, but no spray, so anyone who made a waffle, it got stuck, so nobody got to have waffles. Two mornings it was the same way - no spray for the waffle maker. The coffee maker in the rooms was dirty with old coffee grounds left in it. I really do not recommend staying here. There are nicer hotels in the same price range in the same area.

I really appreciated the apartment like stay, it allowed four women to enjoy ourselves for the duration of the stay, preparing food together, laugh and talk.

Run Away
I stayed at this property on October 1-October 3, 2011. The pictures are very miss leading. When I arrived the room was not clean. Dirty towels were left for us to pick up. The amenties that this hotel says it has is a lie. The Pictures look good. Holes in the furniture, no hot water, dirty dishes, cups, plates, no wi-fi. I found out this use to be a apartment complex. And the owners turned it into a hotel. And put the Wynham name on it. This place is a bad relection for Wynham hotels every where. No iron. I put sheets on the furniture because it didnt want to sit on it. Thats how bad this place is. The buffet breakfast is horrible. Cold eggs, no meat I am sure by now you get the point. Run the other way. And for $100 dollars a night. This place is a joke. Someone should shut it down.
Stay somewhere else
Sofa was stained and looked like it came from the dumpster around the corner, something on the roof banged all day and night. The micro wave was unplugged, and when plugged it, smelled like an electrical fire was going to happen and it felt very hot. Had to unplug it to keep it from burning the place down. Would not ever stay here again, don't let the Wyndam name fool you.
Nasty!
I have never been so disgusted with a business to write a review... until now. My family (5 adults & 1 child) took a girls trip and stayed two nights. When we walked in, you could smell that someone had smoked in the room. We got cups out of the cabinet and EVERY cup was dirty. Some even had dried coffee in them. I mentioned it to the lady at the front desk and she didn't seem to care. The bathtubs were rusted around the drain and had hair in the tubs. There was (what appeared to be) dried feces on the floor, in front of the tub. The washrags had hair in them. If you walked around without your shoes, your feet would turn black. By the time we left all but one of us was sick. We were congested, had sore throats, and headaches. My niece even found someones stash of cigarettes and lighter in the drawer. Maybe the cleaning staff was using our room to smoke instead of clean because it definitely had not been cleaned! I'm amazed to see that some people wrote positive reviews about this place.
Updated property
I read several reviews about this property on this site before I stayed there. There may have been problems with rooms in the past, but that seems to have been taken care of. The furniture in my 2 BR loft suite was brand new and quite comfortable. The appliances also seemed brand new. The room was very spacious and clean. They only thing that didn't appear new was a night stand downstairs.

I recently stayed at Richardson Extended Stay, formerly Hawthorne Suites. This place is in dire need of repairs and cleaning. Beware. I checked in this past week and immediately found a totally dilipated hotel that was dirty upon arrival. To put it nicely, the bathrooms were not clean. The furniture is worn and the appliances are at least 25 years old. The first room was invested with bugs. Live and dead. I spoke to housekeeping the following morning about the bugs on the floor, she picked up the bugs on the floor and put them in a plastic bag. Did not vaccum. I switched rooms, which seemed to be better but the fun just started to begin. I contacted the front desk regarding a slow drain in the bathroom. They said they would take care of it in the morning. Went back to the room around lunch time. The work was not yet started. I came back around 5:30pm and found that my door was left wide open after maintenance repaired the plugged drain. I immediately went to the front desk to complain and the clerk stated " it wasn't open that long. " I had a laptop and all of my personal belongings in the room at that time. The following morning, I awoke to several live bugs on the floor next to my bed. I put a bug in a glass and brought it to the front desk. I took pictures of the other bugs. I asked for a manager to contact me that day and had no success. I could go on and on about what a total disappointment this hotel is. I am here on business with several working professionals and needless to say, we couldn't wait to get out of this hotel. The hotel lets animals stay in the rooms and the barking is intolerable. Beware.
