Calm on the golf course

Stayed at the Borealis on the Golf Le Diable. What a wonderful setting. The view on the golf course and the calm of the area were very appreciated. Just a few notes for improvement: 1-Chairs. We were 3 couples, 6 people and we were lacking chairs t=in the bedrooms for our clothes, etc. 2-Frying pans: you should replace the frying pans (Tefal, etc,) as they are not efficient (food stick even with butter) and should be thrown out. Minor issues for an overall wonderful stay...

Equinoxe Unit 154-6

Bed needs replacement with something from this century. It's also way too low with an odd edge seat sticking out of the side and which makes it even more difficult to get in and out of the bed. It's material condition is also way past it's expiry date. Sofa in living room has wood planks under cushions to support them... I'll take a wild guess, sofa is also past it's expiry date? Can't all be negative so a positive, kitchen is well equipped and unit offers an extraordinary view, convenient indoor parking and true ski in / out. (lots of units in this resort area falsely claim ski in / out)

Beautiful and relaxing at Les Manoirs, Mont-Tremblant, Qc

Review for Manoirs 110-04 110-4 Chemin des Quatre Sommets, Mont-Tremblant, QC J8E 1C6 Very clean and well kept. Looked like it had recently been renovated. Spacious, nice design and tasteful decorations. Everything worked well. Definitely recommend and will return. Note: There are several outdoor steps to access chalet.

Good in setting all kinds of rules and penalties for the customer but horrible in delivering what was promised

If you are going to Tremblant, BEWARE when booking with RENDEZVOUS TREMBLANT or SUNSTAR TREMBLANT. We stayed at Les Falaises Condominiums, Unit 138-11, a 3-bedroom condo unit, but it's not worth the money at all. First of all, promised ski locker was a joke. We were told there were keys in the unit and there weren't. Drove back to the office the next day, was then given locker keys marked for the unit but did not work. What a waste of time! On top of that, contract stated all sport equipment must be stored in the locker and not in the condo unit. Go figure! The unit could accommodate 8. And yet there was only parking for one car. Booking stated free parking and no reservation needed. Inside the unit, furniture was old, blinds in the living & dining rooms were either damaged or missing, a very small TV for a sizeable unit. Broken kettle and oven drawer in the kitchen, wobbly dining room table, torn cushion covers. No kitchen sponge, garbage bags, dishwasher tabs were provided contrary to what was stated in contract. When we went to the office to ask for them, we were told that if there weren't any in the unit, we had to go buy them ourselves. Then discovering that besides the total amount per contract was charged to the credit card, an extra $300+ was also charged. All before our stay at the condo. When communicated, we were told the extra amount was for final adjustment! Absolutely ridiculous! Finally was reimbursed for the extra amount. Shame to the owner and management for charging so much for a run down unit and zero customer service. Stay away from them. Money could have been better spent elsewhere. Worst experience ever from all our ski trips!

Mont Tremblant gem - Les Manoirs

Great location- large living and dining room, quaint kitchen, bedroom good size with ample closet space, Lovely covered patio on ground floor, very quiet, 3 different pools to choose from, also a hot tub, 10 minute walk to Tremblant village, 10 minute drive to Saint Jovite,

Dommage, beau site.

Completely unreliable-Book at your own risk-they will likely cancel it if they can charge someone else more!

I booked with them in June of 2021. I got an email today saying it was not available. They apparently have no concern about their commitment! All they offered me was free cancellation - which I already had free cancellation! Do not use them-they offered me a smaller place miles from the ski area I can't emphasize enough-book at your own risk with this group-It is so late, I now have no choices except for a place four times my original price.

Sad, Sad, Da - how is this even rentable - Stayed at Equinox

We stayed recently in Unit 3 in the Equinox. Probably the worst ski resort ever stayed in. What i8s crazy is the lack of response from Sunstar for all of these terrible reviews. Have stayed in Tahoe, and much nice stays. Here is what we dealth with below. I have to say that we were pretty disappointed with the condition of the unit and ultimately the lack of care across the board to those staying in that unit. I would be embarrassed if I was an owner of one of those units. And if I was an owner, I would wonder why it was in such terrible condition. Where do I begin? The elevator wasnt working when we arrived, so we had to pull our luggage over the flight of stairs. There wasnt even a dolly available to cart our luggage to the stairs which is usually the case when we have travelled to other ski destinations. Cabinet doors in the kitchen were hanging off of the hinges. I am serious - the cabi8nets didnt even close. There was no propane in the bbq, so was unusable even though it stated on the site we could bbq. There was no kettle available to make hot water so we boiled water in a pot to make tea The knives were so dull I could barely cut / chop food when making meals. Dollar store pots and pans, sandpaper like bath towels from the 70's One of the sinks in the " master " bath was completely clogged. 1ply toilet paper. C'mon The furniture in the tv room was falling apart and decrypted. The furniture was actually peeling. Luxurious pillow stuffed with at least 4 cotton balls My husband and I have stayed in a LOT of places, and this by far has been the least taken care of units we have ever stayed in. We actually feel insulted that someone would rent a unit like this. It's like is owned and run by slobs. I would have posted this on the Sunstar web site but was unable to do so, which seems quite convenient.

Vraiment sale

Very Very bad DON'T recommend!!!

Where do I start! This place is horrible. We stayed at the Haut-Bois. The second we walked in we could smell and see dust. Seems like it hasn't been rented for a while. The beds were very hard and squeaked all night. The heaters rattled all night and barely worked. The lighting is very bad and the power kept tripping off. It says ski in / out - that is a lie - it is very difficult. My kids had to make there own path, crossed the street and skied on sidewalks to get to the lift. On top of all of that the customer service is horrible and was useless. Most of the time they didn't speak english and say they would call us back in 15-20 min but didn't - we would have to call them back again and again. We spent 3 out of the 5 days on the phone. Parking garage was very challenging, The spots are extremely small and cannot fit an SUV. You cannot enter the building unless you have a key which opens the garage door. So, if you leave the key in the car and decide to go for a walk, you are basically locked out. A " maintenance " man knocked at the door and asked my kids for the front door key code, innocently, they gave it to him. When you call front desk - they didn't do anything about it. Granted, the layout of the condo is nice and spacious, yet very uncomfortable to stay is and the furniture (including all the bed) are from 1980's. They finally were kind enough to move a better place.

Home away from home

Our unit had two bedrooms and all the services required for our short stay. The kitchen had all accesoriew we need for our meals and our needs. We appreciated the laundry facility within the unit. It allowed us to relax and enjoyed a down time. We will surely repeat the experience.

2020-08-10 15:11:33

Absolute disgust!!!

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!!!!! Front desk staff needs lessons on how to treat guests. This is the hotel that handles the check in for Equinox 152-5. Their automated telephone system hung up on our call automatically when we pressed 0 to speak to the front desk 10 times in a row. This happened no matter which department we tried to get through to on 3 different devices. We booked through hotels.com and there was a mention of no hot tubs available during our dates before accepting the almost 500$ per night rate. After booking the automated system notified us that the advertised BBQ on balcony would not be available (see pictures). The rooms that are supposed to be empty for at least 24 hours before check in because of Covid-19 were not yet available at 3 pm on check in day. It is presently a full construction site (see pictures) with saws, generators, drills, continuous banging of brad nail guns. How they are allowed to rent this legally without anyone going to jail for this fraud is inconceivable. My stay will begin shortly because my booking has a no cancellation policy. I will be updating this review and the one on hotels.com in the coming days.

Please save your money and do not come here, no AC, no water and blocked balcony

We rented a condo that ended up having a lot of issues. The AC was not working and it was summer July, water was not working in all bathrooms and the view which is the main reason we booked this condo and it was blocked due to construction. They took out money and refused to give it back although we DID NOT stay. We filled a complaint to the CITQ and we'll take it all the way until we have our money back.

La Plateau Unit 216-5

We've stayed in the pedestrian village in the past, but decided on a condo for this trip to have more space for our family if 4. And we choose Le Plateau as it has a pond and my family wanted to skate & play hockey. This unit was great with easy access to the frozen pond & bus to the village and lifts stopped right outside the door. The unit is spacious with lots of dresser drawers & a large closet / mud room inside the door for coats, etc. The bus ran every half hour so you don't need your car once you get there. The ski out is easy (but takes you to a lift that opens after the gondola so if you want to do Fast Tracks you need to take the bus) and ski in is on black runs so if you are a beginner you may not be able to do it. The unit came with 2 starter logs so if you plan on making a fire you'll want to bring wood & more logs. I felt a little removed from the village... after a long day of skiing we didn't feel like going back to the village but the space and skating was such a plus! We'll definitely be back!

Expensive but good

The condos for a family trip. Some of the properties are outside resort so just ask the location when booking. This is on the expensive side if yu are going in the peak season but I believe its worth it if you have a bigger family or two families are sharing.

Unit 238-4 Plateau rundown

Over the years, I rented a few units with sunstar. The quality has been declining to a point that I am totally dissatisfied. See my photos and check the photos advertised on Sunstar website. Management is fully aware that this unit has run down beds, sofa, dirty carpets with stain. Further more balconies are loaded with animal / insects crap, patio screen on the balcony and run down bbq with accumulated dirt for at lest 6 months. As for the kitchen appliances, even the can opener does not work ! Going to the pool, the water had turn green. We phone management to correct situation. They said the situation was corrected. Today it was still green.. Had a conversation with Management and they where in full denial they new about the situation. Lies after lies I have lost my faith in this company and will bring my business to other places that respect tourism. Most of other hotel in Tremblant are honest and do not play games like Sunstar.

No luxury, little service, no response to complaint

The structure and bones of ETOILE Du MATIN condo are good. However, the unit was not maintained and the photos speak for themselves. As noted by others I also arrived to an unwashed duvet cover, called to request a clean one and instead got two blankets dropped off. Called again was told had no clean covers available?! Lock box safe broken, all knives dull, patio umbrella would not stay up, shower fixture broke off in my hand, loose wire on kettle etc..... I contacted them and asked for a 25% discount which I thought was very fair, no response to date. FYI hot tub was warm, maybe 90 degrees and underground parking was a nightmare with a SUV even for a super skilled driver. Tiny spaces wedged in corners.

2018-07-30 18:22:26

Shabby and Dated

Having stayed in the Algonquin Condominiums several times in the past I was disappointed by the condition of the properties which have been noticeably neglected. The back door screen was lying on the ground, unusable. Rattan-bottomed dining chairs broken through, no batteries in the tv controls, (necessitating a call to front office), blinds cracked and broken, dusty and in many cases non-functional, cobwebs in the corners, no spatula in the kitchen; the list could go on however in summary the property needs an update to make it a competitive choice. Good location but shabby, dated and none too clean.

sofabed impossible to use; TV with no sound in English

La Manoirs 116-1 Nice location, walking distance to things and good wifi. That's the best I can say. Most TV channels were 'interdit', i. e you were supposed to pay for them but the staff didn't know how to allow me to do that. Netflix couldn't be used because the TV wasn't 'smart '.. said the technician they sent. Of the few channels in English that were available, half didn't have sound or it was come and goes. My family skis and I don't. I had planned to take a relaxing vacation doing what I never have time to do: watch good movies and sleeping. This last couldn't be done because the sofa bed had an ancient mattress with protruding springs. Ended up wrapped in a blanket on the narrow sofa for 3 nites.

2018-01-16 21:29:47

Les-Eaux 203-3

Shockingly overpriced. Fully equipped pantry included a salt shaker, 3 packets of MacDonalds pepper, 4 coffee filters and 2 packets of stale coffee. Wifi didn't work and after several requests, we were told it didn't work because the owner hadn't paid the bill. No soap in the bathrooms, scratchy towels and sheets that did not fit the beds. Beds were either like rocks or saggy. Poorly maintained, tired condo which needs a major overhaul. Completely put us off renting from this company again.

2018-01-10 22:12:15

Awesome place, wonderful service

We were in the Cortina house, 5 people. It is gorgeous, so much light comes in, spacious and has everything you need. Home away from home! Beds are comfortable, each room has a bathroom. The hosts were great to us, ready to help us with anything we needed. The pool house is near by, so you can find them there. Wish that we had access to a Jacuzzi, that was the only down side. (and perhaps a better gym) Looking forward to our next visit!

Etoile du Matin - Nightmare!

I will not recommend any one to keep working with this people, you should only deal with Elysium or Intrawest. Anyways, you start bad by having to register (check in and out) out of premises. Check in is very late and check out is ultra early. On top of that they advertised free VIP parking that we did not receive. When we enter to our condo 1510-17 it was hot and with a very weird smell, I had to buy spray to use all around. In general all bed have very old mattresses that corners point to the ceiling in a strange way, carpets and sofas deserve a cleaning like 2 years ago, the blinds in one of the bedrooms did not work at all. We were 5 in the condo and only got 2 hand soaps. There was coffee and tea on the condo, but no filter for the coffee.. one of the thermostat was like look at me but don't dare to touch me or I'll fall and you'll pay for it!! We tried to use the dryer and end up deciding to stop it as noise was loud like something was about to break inside the thing. Last thing, always check with tremblant or sunstar or who whichever you rent on this place the time the mini gondola for the casino is in service, if it is working at all, or you'll be driving back and forth to the village a lot and of course paying parking unless you find it for free! This is the last time I book with Sunstar... seriously!!

2017-02-20 10:32:10

" Tremblant-Les-Eaux "

The master bed was harder then nails and gave us back aches. Worst sleep ever! The pull out coach was the basic saggy mattress and my 14 yr old could feel the coils in his back all night. The place was nice but the beds were terrible so would not return.

2017-02-13 15:03:20

ATTENTION : zone de remorquage abusive / BE CAREFUL : abusive towing zone. Very nice area, but there is no air conditioning so it smells moisture. Furniture is out-dated and there is no panoramic view because of the trees. There is not enough parking places so you're trapped. Your car will be impounded because of parking violation and it cost 189$ to get it back. A lot of cars are towed every day. Be smart and book another condo in the same area.

Broken watermain, great customer seevice

We were booked for a 5 day vacation at L'Equinoxe through Sunstar. The day after we arrived we received a phone call from Julie at Sunstar to inform us there was a water main break and there would be no water for the next 3 days. She offered us a relocation or a full refund. We took the relocation offer and was moved to Etoile du Matin. We love the view from L'Equinoxe, which was why we were back there for the 4th time. The new condo had a view of the Forrest floor. As much as the view was not the same, this was a vacation and we were there to relax and enjoy. Which we did! Etoile du matin is the end of the casino gondola service and we loved the convenience of going to " the village " for dinner, leaving the car in the underground parking, and enjoying the gondola ride and view. Sunstar handled the disaster and relocation with ease and made sure we had an enjoyable vacation. We shall certainly return!

Sunstar Condominium - Le Plateau

I stayed for the weekend and it was great! What I don't understand is why upon arrival, they did not even have a bar of soap in the bathroom. I've travelled alot around the world and I thought that when you spend that much money per night, the least that the management can do is ensure that certain standards are met. Our suite was small - no problem. No fireplace, no stove, no BBQ. But no soap or complimentary toiletries. I was surprised for the price. Nowhere else have I ever thought that I would be expected to bring soap. I had to wash my hair with sunlight dish detergent - ugh!

2016-06-20 10:30:38

Les Manoirs Mont Tremblant

3 bedroom loft condo was beautiful. We were told that it was in the village, which was not true. walking to the city was ok on the way there all down hill but took taxis for 7 dollars to return. beautiful swimming pools also. The one drawback was there Is NO air conditioning. at 300 dollars per night I kinda expected it!! they only had fans in the closets. Very modern Condos with no air conditioning. And we also had to do our dishes and take out our trash and recycles.... for 300 dollars a night?

2016-04-13 16:06:41

Great condo for skiing

My family and I stayed at the Sunstar condo during spring break. We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo on the 3rd floor of the Equinox. The check in was at the Chateau Beauvallon and it was long and difficult. The staff was clearly overwhelmed and the lobby is way to small for everybody to check in. The condo was beautiful, spacious and very clean. The view was amazing. There was a huge storm at the beginning of the week so it was a challenge to make it all the way to the Equinox but we have an SUV so we were ok and the rest of the week to took advantage of the shuttle system. Our condo had access to a great outdoor spa and we really enjoyed it after spending the day skiing. The condo is a ski in and out so that was great. Unfortunately our neighbor's decided to do a huge party therefore we were up most of the night because of all there noise and music. But besides this incident we loved our stay and would definitely return.

2016-03-31 21:21:36

Run down, no parking

The entire " ski resort " does not come close to any standards you might take for granted in the US. Condo is dated, dirty carpet, dirty sheets, odd smell, 2wash cloths or 10 people. Parking is a nightmare - only 1 parking pass provided for a condo that sleeps 10. Others had to park a mile away in a non-paved crater- and mud-filled pit. The parking lot behind the condo was 100 percent empty yet our 2nd car was towed in the 15 minutes it took us to get our bags ready to pack. I strongly suspect that the condo management has a deal going with the towing company. I would NEVER return. What a dump and a joke! Not worth 1 / 2 of what we paid.

2016-02-19 12:55:49

Love Tremblant, but the condo was just adequate

The condo is ok, and though it was billed as full service, there was no turn down service and the tiny towels are up to you to wash for the duration. The entrance to our unit was external at the very end of the building and the path was not shoveled ever. We had to make our own path by stomping. There was no way to roll luggage - you had to haul it on your back. Entrance to ski in / out was 100+m away and it was a tight trail so we didn't use it with the kids. Garage was excellent. Under ground and heated. But again we had to leave the building to get to our unit. At 11 promptly the door code stopped working. I was carrying bags to the car. Luckily my wife was still inside. Had she left with me, I don't how ee would have gotten our stuff out. That was by far the worst part. I really don't know what the management was thinking. The washing machine was detached from the counter top and the washing machine did not fully complete the cycle. The carpet is frayed. The unit should be renovated at the end of the season for sure.

Make sure you have 4WD

Just got in after a storm and neither the town nor SunStar's agents were well prepared. First you have to check in about 1 mile away at a hotel - Château Beauvallon. It is a busy place and the front desk has to also register SunStar guests. A friendly staff but all they have is a pouch and little first hand knowledge of the units. Sadly we were stuck trying to leave their driveway for 30 minutes, and if not for the friendliness of the locals and other guests pushing us out, we would still be there. NO staff at all to help and the street was NOT plowed (4-6 inches of snow at the entrance of the parking lot). Then to get to the condos you have to go up a very steep hill that was neither plowed nor sanded. For us, that meant leaving our car at a lot at the base of the hill and shuttling our luggage via a friend's car. It took 2 days before the street was cleared. Meanwhile, the small, hilly lanes that are the parking lot roads in Les Eaux were not sanded for 3 days. It was that long before I dared bring my car up. The unit was spacious and dated. The view of the mountain was wonderful. The sofabed had a dead mattress. Appliances worked well and the heat was happily functional. WiFi was provided but no info was given as to the password, and it required my calling a 3rd party reservation group to be contacted as the aforementioned registration desk knew nothing of the unit. Ski equipment was to be stored outside in a locker but NO key is provided and once again, the reg desk had no solution. All travel to the mountain is provided by a SINGLE shuttle bus that loops around every 30 minutes even though it takes less than 10 min for a single run. During the New Year's holiday crush there was NO extra vehicle. From 5-10 pm all shuttle rides require a " call " to the transportation center - but NO one picked up at all on Dec 30th in the evening. The next night, they had scheduled routine service till 4 am and it was working til at least 1 am. Drivers were friendly and accommodating but SunStar has dropped the ball on providing service. Again, when I called Château Beauvallon, the desk could provide me with NO numbers. All in all, pricey and not on the mountain but it was a last minute trip on our part. Nonetheless, given their experience with snow, I was expecting MUCH better road management than in the lower 48.

Les Manoirs 124

My wife and I rented a one bedroom condo for a week in August 2015. We had a ground floor unit in Les Manoirs building 124. Our condo backed on to the 17th fairway of Le Geant golf course, separated by a small stand of trees. The condo was fantastic. Well appointed. Very clean. Spacious. The air conditioning worked flawlessly..... keep in mind that not many condos in Tremblant have AC. In suite laundry was nice as was the jacuzzi tub in the bath. The condo was perfectly quiet and very private. There are two pools and one hot tub on the property which were all very nice. My only complaint was that all 3 were overrun with kids all weekend long. While they could easily reserve one of the two pool for adults only who wish to read and relax without dodging water balls and tidal waves from the pool, they do not. Doing so would be a huge improvement. It is about a 15 minute walk into the village and there is a shuttle service if you wish. If you wish to buy groceries, much better to drive into the old village. The General Store in the new village is limited and very pricey. The Mont Tremblant village is certainly no Whistler, but this is a great choice for a quiet vacation. There are no less than 5 championship golf courses in the area, making this a great choice for a summer golf trip. The Scandinave Spa is only a 10 minute drive away and is awesome as they all are. Casino Mont-Tremblant is only 10 minutes away as well. There are also free casino shuttles. Wifi was free and excellent in the condo. Cell service on Telus, Bell and Rogers were decent. Keep in mind that check in for all these condos takes place at Chateau Beauvallon. It was a friendly and seamless process. Free parking for one car was provided and there were guest parking spots. My only disappointment here was the lack of view from the patio. While I would certainly recommend Les Manoirs, if I come again, I will look into one of the suites higher up the mountain or closer to the lake. Les Maniors is a great choice for a well appointed, clean, quiet condo in Tremblant. We had a most enjoyable week here.

Nice Condo, Great Views, Sunstar Not Easy to Deal With

We stayed in a nice condo in L'equinoxe development in the Domaine du Foret on Mont Tremblant. The condo was nice, the beds were comfortable and there were adequate towels. The unit could've used more more drinking glasses, mugs and other kitchen essentials.. Tne owner seemed overly concerned about the place given the plastic on the kitchen table and end tables. Check in was extremely frustrating. While the check in time did say 5pm, that is pretty late to begin with and they kept telling us it wasn't ready yet and then that the property manager, we believe that was code for owner, had to " check " the place first so we didn't get our keys until 5:15 pm, essentially losing that whole first day. An additional HUGE source of frustration was the advertised HEATED infinity pool and hot tub. The hot tub by the pool was closed for repair for nearly the entire time we were there. And the pool, though advertised as heated, was FREEZING. We called and asked about increasing the heat in the pool several times as did another group traveling with us, but the heat was never raised. It would've been GREAT to go in to a nice, warm heated pool given the less than hot temperatures outside when we visited but sadly we did not get to go in even once, though we paid for that amenity by staying in L'equinoxe. We did use the hot tub in the complex buildings however which was nice at least.

Le Plateau Tremblant - HORRIBLE for summer stays

We just returned from Mont Tremblant having stayed at Le Plateau. We were a family with 4 adults and 3 children and rented one of the 3br suites. The location was so-so - not too far from the village but realistically you're taking the car every time. The pool was heated and the kids really enjoyed it. The problem was lack of AC. We arrived in 30+ degree weather and the unit itself was hotter on the inside. There is no air conditioning and staying in the room was suffocating and uncomfortable. In my mind, in this day and age, air conditioning should be a given, and their website needs to be crystal clear that there is no AC. It wasn't. The management company wasn't very friendly and tremblant. ca from which we ordered the room promised to " get back to me in an hour " and I'm still waiting. The bottom line is that if you're booking a summer time trip, stay away.

Great stay once again at Les Manoirs

It's a second consecutive year that I am staying with my buddies in Les Manoirs Sunstar Tremblant condominiums. Nice and quiet place with all the necessary amenities. After lots of research we've found that if all of us (6) want to stay together in one place that's the most cost effective yet comfortable option (3 bedrooms, big living room) around Mont Tremblant. Although not located directly in the village its just a short ride distance either by car or on the free shuttle bus. Free parking, lots of space, easy check-in / checkout, never had any issues with the condo or the management. It would be nice to have a sauna but you can't have it all, right? Will definitely come there next year as well.

A few issues with Sunstar but the skiing was great

We arrived at the Chateau Beauvallon late in the late evening after a long drive. We hoped that check in would be fast, just pick up the keys to the condo Algonquin 120-12 and get our lift tickets so that we could get up early and enjoy first tracks. A disagreement over the lift tickets with reception caused us to be delayed and we left with the keys to the condo and no lift tickets. I was frustrated and a little angry. Their handling of the situation was not great. I had called Sunstar two days prior to our arrival about lift tickets and was misinformed or we misunderstood each other, it happens but how it is handled is what counts. Called sunstar the next morning and was told I would get a call later that day, did not receive a call. Anyway the condo has a great ski in / out location, you have to be able to handle stairs because it is on the bottom floor. The beds could be better, even the way they were made up could have been a little nicer. I noticed lots of dust on the blinds in the room I was sleeping in. The kitchen had everything you need, the fireplace was nice to have, bathrooms were okay. We were given a map to direct us to the condo from the hotel check in, what was not mentioned to us was that on the back of the map there were some rules for staying at the condo, only by chance i looked at the back the next day. One example, you would be charged $30 dollars if you did not throw out the garbage and recycling into the condominium garbage bins, would have been a little annoyed to get charged # 30 dollars for leaving a little garbage. So next time we travel to Tremblant, will we book thru Sunstar, not likely.

Do Not Entrust Your Holiday to Sunstar

This review speaks to their customer service, which we found virtually non existent. Do not entrust your holiday with Tremblant Sunstar. We had booked and paid for our 4 day break over the upcoming family day. In fact Sunstar had just sent out their two week reminder email confirmation outlining our obligations and financial penalties for cancellation. We have just received the call, not from Sunstar but from a third party informing us that the 3 bedroom unit close to the lifts and on a shuttle route was no longer available. The background is that we had hired a unit in the same building that was managed by another firm. Just short of a month in advance they informed us that there was emergency repair work to that particular unit and it was no longer available. we searched, they searched and there wasn't anything comparable appearing on the market. Certainly not for the price because we had booked far enough in advance. Eventually a 3 bedroom Sunstar unit, in the same building, that was unaffected by the repair work, appeared on the Sunstar website. Presumably from a cancellation. I notified our original agent who secured the property. Because of timing etc, there was now a price difference. The agent paid that difference direct and transferred our booking to Sunstar. Having the receipts for everything I can say that the advertised amount on Sunstar's website was the amount paid with at most an 8% discount offered to their colleagues who have already done all the work with the booking. Now after all is confirmed and it is too late to re-book a different vacation (ie not Mont Tremblant) they are saying the unit has been sold and the new owners will not honor the booking. Now I could call into question the extremely quick closing of the sale, the fact that proper terms and conditions don't exist between Sunstar and their condo owners, that protect against this...... but lets instead focus on how Sunstar handled this. The money, credit card information etc had all been handed over to Sunstar, we are now Sunstar's customers. They did not contact us, the other companies agent did. When calling Sunstar I was contained but inquisitive. i explained who I was and the supervisor (Julie) put me on hold while she checked some details. When she returned to the line she was dismissive and quite unsympathetic. She " stated " that they had tried to do a favor for their colleague but that it hadn't worked out. when I asked what were we to do? She told me they had rebooked us into two adjacent condos elsewhere. I'm not being unreasonable. It's not Sunstar's or the previous agents fault that we are traveling with another family who will now be in a different area than us. The reason they have booked the two separate units is to achieve the right number of bedrooms. Apparently there is nothing available. My problem with this is that are family is young. How are we to split us up over the two apartments. Parents in one with three kids in the other. Or maybe the 11 and 12 year old in one with parents and son in the other ? THe option offered is not even part of Mont Tremblant Ski Resort. No shuttle, no ski as described by Julie. How is this comparable ? The kicker is that they had and still have on their website a 3 bedroom apartment. Some may argue that it is a better location. We have stayed there before on previous vacations, has its fair share of cons. We would prefer it to the completely unsuitable downgrade offered to us. Why would they not put us in comparable accommodation ? I can only assume the price difference that they would have to absorb. Instead Sunstar took the stance that it wasn't their problem and threw us back to the original agent. I. E we now don't have a family vacation and will be staying home. They had the opportunity and means to handle and indeed salvage this unmitigated disaster but chose not to. Do not plan your vacation to Mont Tremblant using them for Condo hire.

Les Manoirs, Nice Unit, Quiet Location

We stayed 3 nights over the weekend. Spacious 1 bedroom with a sofabed, full kitchen, and fire place. The pictures online were very nice, but we were a tiny bit disappointed only because it didn't look as beautiful in person, but overall we were satisfied. This place could really use a winter time hot tub. The shuttle bus picked us up 2 minutes from our door to take us to the ski hill, which was very convenient. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the ski village, but very close to the Soliel lift where you can start and end your day on the slopes. There is a nicely groomed path through the forest down the hill to the village. I would come here again.

False publicity

We reserved 7 months ahead, looked at the site on the internet and saw beautiful condos with a view on the slopes. When we got there... oh what a bad surprise we had! They had us in a basement with no view at all. We should get what is advertised on their site. We paid good money for this trip! I have a georgous basement at home, we should have stayed there. I called to complain but the employee couldn't care less! Such a dissapointment... a scam! If you reserve here make sure they don't condamn you in a basement.

Le Plateau - Relaxing, beautiful, affordable

We surprised our friend with a 2 night stay in Le Plateau chalet and it was wonderful. I couldn't believe the kitchen was so fully stocked (we planned to cook the entire time) it came with everything but cooking oil! there was a master bedroom with a beautiful huge ensuite, and another large bedroom with another bathroom so it was perfect for 2 couples. the livingroom was great (fireplace too!) and there is a large dining room table that seats about 10 comfortably which was so nice because we got to do a family style dinner. I chose this place as I have been here before, and it includes a little patio with a table and 4 chairs as well as a BBQ. so we BBQ'd the entire weekend (comes with propane). We also received a free gondola trip to the summit for all 4 of us, which is something i never got to experience before and because it was in august the scenery was GORGEOUS. There is also a community pool which was really fun to use. my only complaint was that there was a family with a bunch of kids and a dog above us and they annoyed us / we annoyed them. I think it might be better if they place people with families or animals all together and younger people (we are mid 20s) in another area. the dog scratching at the door drove us nuts, and we were up late drinking outside and they were really mad at us so we had to go inside which sort of defeated the purpose of going to an outdoorsy place for a getaway. There was also hiking trails I should mention with abeautiful waterfall. it's perfect for relaxing no matter what time of year. you get a free shuttle to the village as well which has restaurants and lots of activities.

Chouette 2004-Very Disappointed

We came up for the Ironman World Championships and reserved a condo 10 months in advance. We paid top dollar, and were really excited about a trip that we will only do once in a lifetime. The ONLY good thing about this condo was it's location- right near the village. The pictures on line are not anything like what it really looks like. If we could have switched to one of the nearby hotels, we would have done it, but since we'd already prepaid, we just made the best of it. Everything is CHEAP, and not very clean. The bedding on the bed, is almost non existent. There is a cheap sheet thrown over the bare / uncomfortable mattress, and an even cheaper bed spread thrown over that. The air conditioning unit in the living room, does not reach the bedroom. Looking at the other reviews, I think we are in a different place than the other travelers. Our condo is called Chouette 2004. For $275 per night, we would have much preferred the Residence Inn next door, but we were hoping to get away from the chain hotels and experience the area. Sorry to be negative- the village is beautiful, and we enjoyed the complimentary Gondola Ride to the top of the mountain, with a beautiful view.

Beauvallon - first class operation

Chateau Beauvallon is an absolutely perfect family destination. Suites with private rooms within, roomy, clean, comfortable, use of gym and outdoor hot tub and beautiful pool with waterfall, all you could ask for. And staff is warm, friendly and seem genuinely happy ! Highly recommend..!

Great stay at the equinox

Stayed two nights in june. What a wonderful place. The view, the room, the equipment available, everything was great. You can use the dishwasher, the BBQ. There's a bath. The place is high so expect to walk 30 minutes to gain access to the village or wait for the bus. You can see deers when you walk! It's luxury. But, when you want luxury you have to pay the price so wait for the last minutes deal

Enchanted by Les Manoirs 106-7

We have just returned from a two day stay in Mont Tremblant. I was indeed nervous by the TA reviews but was pleasantly surprised. The condo is a gem!! Beautiful wood trim, high ceilings and fine details make this condo a much pleasant stay. The children slept on the pull out couch-the mattress was tired but we put a duvet on it and it was great. We had a fire in the fireplace one cool evening. We all slept so well.... The outside patio right next to the babbling brook was ideal!!The pool is so much fun! Three different levels with a hot tub and waterfalls. We had two life guards on duty 9am-9pm. Overall we were very pleased with our stay. Mont tremblant is wonderful and I'm delighted with the Sunstar service. The rep Stephane was very professional and helpful. I had called the Fairmont Tremblant and received terrible customer service from a Fairmont rep.

Sunstar L'Equinox 170-6 Fantastic!

We visited for 2 nights (May 28 & 29) and had the best time! This condo is beautiful and outfitted with everything you need for a longer stay. Our visit was during the off season, so it was fairly quiet, shops open late and close early. The restaurants on the mountain were basically empty. When we arrived there was a woman Sylvie at the desk and a younger woman (I'm sorry I didn't get her name) both were so warm and wonderful, we felt like we were being welcomed into their home. I mentioned it was my birthday and Sylvie gave us a pass to use for the gondola and then because we were actually there celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary (and had stayed at Mont Tremblant for our honeymoon in 92) she gave us a gift card for the Chateau Beauvallon Prime Steak & Sushi Bar restaurant (right there at the Chateau Beauvallon where you check in) so we had dinner there. Back to the Condo, great location, very top condo units, beautiful view. Comfortable bed, wonderful whirlpool bath tub and overall a terrific place to stay. There is one thing that can be improved, the lighting, the bathroom mirror lighting was difficult to put on makeup and in the living room the lights on the end tables were also difficult to read by. (The only thing that we disliked was the shower set up in the tub, most especially because the curtain was dark and again there was little light while taking a shower.) We will be back soon, we really enjoyed our stay!

Chalumeau Elysium 169-7 Beautiful!

Our family of 4 stayed here for 4 nights and truly enjoyed this beautiful condo! It was even nicer than we expected. It was clean and welcoming. We had 2 bedrooms with 2 baths. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated with lots of extra pillows and blankets in the closets. The master bedroom had a nice firm mattress, spacious closets, open bathroom with jacuzzi and shower stall and separate W. C. and best of all - Heated Floors! Main living area had a couch and 2 chairs, TV with DVD player - there were some movies and books available and a wine refrigerator. We used the pullout couch which was very difficult to open but adequate once we figured it out. You have to push the back cushions forward! The open kitchen was nicely furnished with all the dishes, utensils, pots and pans we needed. There was a coffeemaker with filters, salt and pepper and Pam, toaster and microwave. We used the stove and oven and they worked fine. There were 2 bar stools at the counter and a large dining table with 6 chairs. 2nd bedroom had 2 twin beds, big closet and again Heated floors in the bathroom!! They give you L'Occitane shampoo / conditioner and there's a soap pump in the showers and enough towels for 4. The entryway mudroom was great - bench that seats 2 with lots of hooks for coats and a heater underneath, closet where we put luggage and room for everyone to gear up. There were separate thermostats for every room including the mudroom which was great! Ski closet outside was very big - we never got a key but it was fine. When we arrived, paperwork was all waiting for us on the table - lift tickets, receipts, brochures etc and the concierge called to check on us. Ski-in, ski-out was perfect for us and very convenient but probably not good if you are a beginner. This is one of the lowest condos so you ski right down to Porte de Soleil lift from which you can then access either Soleil or the gondola. If you want First Tracks, you have to ski down to the right and short walk over to the pedestrian village to catch the Cabriolet to the gondola - we didn't understand that and didn't figure it out until too late. Coming back at the end of the day, you want to hit the Chalumeau trail at speed to get up the hill and try to maintain speed to get across the traverse. Going across the bridge and down was a little icy but fine if you can ski the blues. All in all, we loved this condo!! Also, there is a large deck out back with a swing chair and grill. Too bad it was too cold for us to enjoy the deck.

Sunstar La Clairere 406

It was a good ski / snowboard trip. Friends and I stayed in January over an extended weekend. I was expecting the accomodations to be not as great as they actually were. It was more spaciousthan expected, the place was clean, and had a private sauna. Generally, the accommodations were nice with slight flaws. The master bedroom has solarium type room with a sofa bed, which shares a wall and peep window to the masterbed washroom, anyone staying in that sofabed room can have 3 of their 5 senses engaged since the peep window shutters didnt close properly and there wasn't a way to hang curtains or a sheet. The TV in the common room looked like someone ripped out the on / off buttons so we weren't able to turn on the television until we called guest services who brought a remote. The telephone in the place wasn't working so we had to use our cell phones, likely most of us have Canada wide calling plans. From previous experience at other places I've learned to do a quality check walk, take pictures of everything and report anything immediately. This may have saved us from any disputes at checkout. The ski in / out was great if you're a skier, but if you're a snowboarder good luck. There's so many flat spots. There was a lift located next to our place, snowboarding to the lift was great, coming back to the chalet was more difficult, the wrong route will have snowboarders skating or off your board walking. We all had a really good time overall and there were no major issues.

Great Stay!!

We recently spent 6 days here and had a fantastic time. The condo was perfect for our family of 4. Very clean and modern with all the comforts of home. The hot tubs were great after a day on the slopes and being able to cook your own meals without worrying about finding a nearby restaurant was amazing. We would go back even in the spring / summer as the area is absolutely beautiful with lots of activities for everyone!!

Terrible

Stayed here over New Years. There was an accident with the fire extinguisher. Charged an obscene amount for the clean up. When I asked for copies of the recepts I was provided with two receipts that totalled less than the amount charged to my card. I asked for the contact information to verify the charges, with great resistance after asking several times they finally passed along the information. The inflated bill was from a cleaning company owned by the Tremblant Sunstar " House Manager " Laurie Kane. Sounds like a conflict of interest to me....

2014-01-02 10:23:23

Terrible Service & Terrible Accomodations

This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed on ski vacation. Let's begin with the fact that upon arrival to the condo the upstairs bathroom did not work and we were required to wait for the repairman to leave before settling in. Following that, the neighbours practically verbally assaulted us over a parking spot. As it was said before this is NOT a ski-in ski-out condo, the trail is all the way at the edge of the condo and very steep. The children travelling with me nearly slammed into nearby trees trying to get down. During the second day of our four day stay the electricity in one of the lower bedrooms and a bathroom went out. The kitchen was a mess, the microwave was cold because the oven had not been sealed correctly. Lastly, my daughter forgot a pair of sunglasses and the incompetence in service over the matter is astounding. She has still not received them and although we are extremely persistent, we doubt she ever will. Needless to say we very much regret booking such a shabby place, we were better off staying at a hotel but regretfully decided against it. We will not be recommending or returning to these condominiums.

Going for yearly ski trip to Les Eaux condo since 2006

The Les Eaux condos are located on a opposite slope of the valey, so they have a beautiful overview of the Mt Tremblant. The accomodation is very good and is in range of one- to multiple bedrooms. The location is serviced by shuttle busse for convenient access to ski slopes. Even in the brutal low temperatures in low -30 Celsius, the condos and spas are very nice even for the most spoiled customers. Welcomed are also the internet access, washing / drying machines, equipment storage room and a general timely access to any houskeeping requests. For sure looking forward to the next year again.

Equinoxe West-The Best

The choices of accomodations in Tremblant were many, but confusing since everything sounded so good, but in the end, we decided to write the big cheque by asking for the best located and nicest condominium which had good ski-in ski-out and nice views. They recomended Equinoxe. After the first two days, we asked to be relocated from the east building to the west building, because the ski-in didn't work from the east building. Equinoxe West was a dream. No doubt this was the finest condo on all of Mont Tremblant. Outdoor hottub, and indoor jacuzzi; top notch furnishings, and all the comforts of home. As a matter of fact, it was a bit nicer than home in some respects, and the views.... there is nothing better. If you are going to visit, and it is available, ask for Equinoxe West next visit.

Tremlbant Sunstar was terrific!

We wanted to go somewhere different this year for a ski trip, and stumbled across a vacation package to Mont Tremblant on Expedia. We decided to take a chance, and we absolutely loved it. We had 3 different condominiums for our group, and since each is individually owned, all were decorated differently but were very nice. What a pleasant surprise... each condominium had its own fireplace in the living room, a dining room and full size kitchen. We felt right at home, not like we were in a hotel at all. The staff was very accomodating.... since these are condos there is not daily maid service though. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we definitely plan on going back. The skiing was great as well for all skill levels!

Perfect!

My boyfriend and I just returned from a stay at Tremblant-Les-Eaux. Upon opening the door of the condo, we were pleasantly surprised at the large size and pristine condition of the 1-bedroom unit we'd reserved. It had lots of windows, an outside deck and grill, beautiful view of the mountain and was very well decorated. With cable TV, a CD player and everything but food and drink provided for you, it truly was a home away from home. The complex has an outdoor hot tub (and pool in the summertime) which was a nice treat. Because we stayed in between the summer and winter high season, it was very affordable. Book through the Tremblant Sunstar website.

bust of a ski vacation

We chose to stay at Sunstar Condominiums based on the very positive comments on trip advisor, and I have to say our experience was less than ideal. We booked through Expedia and that does not allow you to request specific Sunstar properties. We were placed in a 2 bedroom unit at Les Falaises. This was clearly not a 4 star property. The phone did not work, the bathroom tile was full of mold and the overall decor was dated at best. After several complaints to management we were moved to a different condo in the same complex. It was clean and decor was nicer but still not what we were expecting. As far as Tremblant itself, we arrived to find that the workers at the ski resort and many of the restaurants and hotels were on strike. Only two lifts were open, no ski school, no open restaurants on the mountain. Overall as a ski vacation, this was a bust. We will never return.

Les Manoirs

We have been to Tremblant many times, always staying in the resort. This time we chose a condo in Les Manoirs, beside the golf course, about a 10 minute walk from the resort. We absolutely loved it. The condo was fully furnished with a full kitchen, a real log fireplace, a propane BBQ and even a washer & dryer. The BBQ came in handy when the power went off one evening for several hours due to a storm. The on-site pool was huge and there was lots of free parking. The location is very quiet, an improvement from the night noise of the resort. So quiet, that one morning we awoke to find two deer resting outside our dining room. There is a free shuttle bus that takes visitors all around Tremblant. And the town bus which goes to the major supermarkets is only $1.00. The condos do not require elevators. Check in was very simple, although the check-in office is about 5 minutes drive. There is lots of privacy. Our only concern were the taxes and resort fees applied on top of our confirmed reservation rate. These were about another 20% to the bill. And the restuarants in the resort are way over-priced with hidden taxes and gratuties adding almost 35% to the bill. Skip the resort restaurants and go to the nearby town of St. Jovite where things are 50% less, or better yet, buy food at the supermarket where you can bbq or cook it in the condo.

2000$ over charge on my credit card!

Even tho the room was nice, couches were old, i found a stain of blood in my sheets. The charge me 2000$ for extra cleaning only because of confeties on the floor wich were nothing more difficult to vacum. The hotel employees were very stuburn and didnt want to hear anything. I felt totally rip off it was clear that they were suffering from the vacancy of the hotel and needed to find anything possible to overcharged they costumers! Please to avoid going there!

Tremblant Les Eaux

We spent three great days at Mont Tremblant and one of the main reasons was the wonderful condo at Tremblant-Les-Eaux with chimeny, full kitchen, sauna, washer and dryer (good when your clothes get wet!) and a spectacular view of the mountain and village. It is only a 3 minute drive from the lifts and since the parking is free, there's no real advantage to having a ski in / out condo. The people at the Sunstar reception were very friendly and patient given that this was our first time at Tremblant and we had many questions. We are looking forward to returning next year!

Awesome!!

Stayed for five nights at the Cap Tremblant complex on the Sunstar Advantage deal (you pick the dates, they pick the unit) for $69 per night (last week of Sept.) The price couldn't be beat! To give you some context, I travel extensively for business and several times a year for personal vacations. This was our first condo / time-share stay. We had a one-bedroom that overlooked the forest and had a partial lake view. Cap Tremblant is located 4 km away from the base of the mountain. At first, this seemed a little far BUT it was away from the hustle and bustle of all the tourists. As it was low season, we almost had the entire building to ourselves. Cap Tremblant has a four-season outdoor pool and hot tub which were nice touches. The unit itself was immaculate - stainless steel appliances, stone fireplace, comfortable furniture. Our unit had a balcony and a bbq which was very useful. As we arrived for fall colours, the scenery everywhere was beautiful and we had perfect weather for all the outdoor activities (cycling, hiking, rollerblading, etc.) We will definitely return!

Looking for that empty feeling of just being a number at a huge resort where no one cares, well then Tremblant Sunstar is the pl

We booked 6 nights in a condo unit in feb. Upon arival at the resort we spent the better part of an hour looking for the check in location for the condo units, so at that point we were allready on edge. We finally checked quickly which we thought was great, we were given a code number for our door entrance and told that was all we needed to enter our condo. After the 5 min drive to the condo and much searching we came to the conclusion that we actually did need a key to enter the building. So we called reception and they had a person bring the key, due to the fact it was late and I needed to get my kids to bed I asked the person to wait while I tried the key. Yes the entrance key worked, I then tried the key for out outside ski locker and it did not work, Now this is where I lose it, the person sugests I call the front desk and get that sorted out, WHAT did you say I asked! I very stongly sugested that he may want to take care of that issue for me, he left and now I'm in full on upset mood, welcome to my vacation, but wait it gets better, so the desk calls the room and tells my wife we can't find your locker keys but the ones we gave you work for another units locker so use that one, ok that fine. Thanks.. But then after I get settled I think hang on how are we going to deal we this tommorow. My kids wife and I all need to be able to access our room and ski locker. I need more keys! So I call back and they tell me they have no keys available at all and that a manager will contact me tommorow, I asked when? They said they didn't know, like its the cable guy.. Hang on here people I have paid what too me is a huge amount of money to ski this week, you expect me to wait around for you to come by and fix this mess, So there it is at this point. What can I do?? Write this review I guess is my only option.

TREMBLANT SUNSTAR... JAMAIS PLUS!! LE PERSONNEL EST INCAPABLE DE S'AJUSTER AUX SITUATIONS QUI DEMANDENT UN PEU DE RÉFLEXION, DU JUGEMENT HUMAIN ET UN PEU D'ADAPTATION...

Mistaked credit card

When i check in this hotel they asked me for a security deposit on a credit card wich is common precedure... But 2 weeks later i noticed that they never returned it. I decide to send them an email to get an explanation. They answer was that they refund it on my other credit card. The only problem is i only own one card and the one they refund on is not mine. After many emails and several weeks they were still non collaborating in fixing their mistake and now i am bringing them to court. End of the story it is totally inacceptable for an hotel to behave in that way. My recommandation is to avoid going there under any circontances!

Condo for Mountain Goats

We stayed at Sunstar Les Falaises during the U. S. Presidents break. The condo worked very well for us because we are all good skiers and could negotiate skiing through the woods to get almost to the base of le cabriolet lift, but I assure you that most people could not do that, so its not really ski-out. The condos are built into a cliff. This condo was certainly comfortable & adequate but the beds needed new pillows and the phone would not work to make local calls the vacuum was broken. This condo was one of their less expensive complexes. You can ski back into the condo at the end of the day. Check-in for the unit was miles away & not well marked so we wasted time finding it. The ski resort itself & mountain were great. Conditions were quite icy and it was cold but we are all die-hard skiers & we loved it. Sunstar boasts that guests can enjoy a free day at Club Aqua Source. It had a small indoor waterpark that was very crowded & noisy, an indoor jacuzzi and to our relief an outdoor jacuzzi for adults only. The free ice skating was a bust, no one could find where the skate loans were. " The rink " was just a very small flooded area next to the chapel which wasn't maintained

Would absolutely stay there again

Recently stayed in the Clairiere units for a boys getaway. Units were huge, clean and walking distance to the village. Numerous rooms had tvs, dvd players. There were two parking spots for every unit which was important. Full kitchen with good sized fridge. We were in a 4 bedroom unit and there was plenty of room for everyone. Only issue I had was the sheets with two of the beds which had some hair etc which lead me to believe they may not have been changed. Fairly simple to get to the units and the directions provided were good. We were not there to ski but it looked like you could ski to a small lift nearby which would access the main area. Would definitely recommend to friends, families looking for something more than a hotel room.

Cap was fantastic

Tremblant-Les-Eaux

Checked in: July 29 Checked out: August 3 We were pleased with our one bedroom condo. Everything was there including dishes, glasses, utensils, BBQ, washer / dryer, etc. The condo was very comfortable. The pools were amazing!! We like to walk so enjoyed the walk to the resort village (about 15 minutes). Or you can catch the shuttle that goes by every 30 minutes (it stops running at 9:00pm, though). Going to the actual town of Mont Tremblant is worth it too. Two things bothered me, though.. On our second day, we got a call to find out how everything was. It turned out to be a call to invite us over for a meeting to learn more about time-share or buying a condo.. we weren't interested so said no thanks. Considering we were paying full price and had booked it online with no incentives, I didn't appreciate the sales call. They say they have Internet access but actually don't. It took four days to figure this out since everyone at the reception didn't have a clue about it. There are a couple Internet cafes in the resort village.

Le Plateau Mont Tremblant

We stayed at Le Plateau Mont Tremblant during the X'mas and we had wonderful experience. The resort is spacious. We had a 3-bdrm suite and the place is well-equipped. However, my friends' staying at same resort but different unit, theirs condition is a little worse. Due to the snow storm the first 2 days' shuttle was not on time or either cancelled. The ski-in and ski-out never really opened during our stay until Dec-26th. But overall, it's an excellent place for ski.

Les Manoirs - Amazing Condo for an excellent price!

I just got back from a 3 night stay at Les Manoirs - Tremblant Sunstar condos in Mont Tremblant. I travelled with 5 other guys for a snowboard trip. First off, we loved the mountain and everything around it, secondly, the condo was way better than the pictures and reviews on this website and the official website! The Les Manoirs condo complex is actually comprised up of more than 10 separate condo buildings in alternating exterior colors (from the website, it looks like there is only 1 condo building.) We stayed in building 124, room 9 which was an end unit, which means our condo had a large 6 sided living room. Our condo had 2 bedrooms; a master with ensuite & jacuzzi, and another bedroom. In total we had 2 full bathrooms, which was perfect for 6 guys. A nice surprise was the programmable heated floors in the bathrooms. We had 2 tv's, one LCD in the living room, and one regular tube tv in the master bedroom. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessary cookware and tableware for the duration of the stay, as well as a dishwasher. The views were great from all sides. We saw deer almost every day and could watch the mountain from our bedrooms. We only had 3 issues during our stay. The first being the lock on the storage room beside our condo for our snowboards did not lock. We contacted the front desk and they notified the owners / managers. We were immediately contacted by them and told that a locksmith would be coming the next day to fix it. We just avoided the problem and kept our snowboards in the foyer. The second issue was the free shuttle. The schedule provided by the front desk was not followed by the shuttles. The shuttle serves all the Sunstar properties so some deviation from the schedule was expected. We ended up walking to the gondola the first day (15 minutes). Waiting 30 minutes in the morning for the 7:15am shuttle in -20 degree weather is not fun. Overall, the free shuttle was handy and a great addition to the Les Manoirs experience. It definitely beat walking up hill from the village after a long day of snowboarding. Lastly, the pull out bed was necessary for our 6 person sleeping requirement. The pull out bed frame was in very poor shape and the mattress wasn't much better. We ended up pulling the matress off and having someone sleep on the mattress on the floor, and the other person sleep on the couch. This worked ok, but was somewhat disappointing. In the end, staying 2 minutes from the village is totally worth it. The bang for your buck is incredible. I would most certainly recommend Les Manoirs to anyone who is looking to stay at Mont Tremblant. A large condo with full kitchen, lots of room, free shuttle and incredible views.

Poor attitude of management staff

Looking forward to a family vacation with three generations of family members turned into a disaster !! Check in was great. Facility was not what was expected but we could live with it as we didn't want to have to start moving luggage etc.. however unit was in terrible condition. In contacting Sunstar management to complain we were passed to Lori the housekeeping manager. Aside from a horrible attitude, this " manager " told us to get out a plunger and we could use that to try to fix the broken toilet, she told us the nights were cool, so the fact that one of the two portable fans didn't work shouldnt be a problem, we could arrange to fix our own lightbulbs that we found were burned out in the unit, and a little " elbow grease " by ourselves would solve the pathetic dirty balcony and furniture. I have lived and travelled all over the world, and I have never received such a poor attitude from management in my entire life. Until she is removed from her job, I would suggest NOBODY ever use Sunstar or any of the units they manage until she is GONE !!! What a disaster and what a terrible experience.

le Plateau studio unit

Disappointing for the price -$518 taxes in for Friday and Saturday night. Pros - ski-in, ski-out. Cons- old unit with stinky carpet (and the couch didn't smell too good either). Antique TV with equally antique VHS player. Please, condo owners, spend $100 on a DVD player for heaven's sake! Kitchen was behind a broken folding door and consisted of a microwave, a toaster, a coffee machine, and a fridge in which our ice cream melted (in the " freezer " compartment). Oh, and after a long day of skiing, we got back to the condo and the entry code for the lock had been changed so we were locked out until we could find the phone # for the resort and use the last remaining juice in our cell phone to get it reset.

We stayed in unit 227-4 for 3 nights. I was very satisfied with the condition of the unit. Has very nicely kept furniture with full appliances and every thing you would really need, like it is your own house. it is very close to the village and there is also shuttle that stops at the front door that takes you to the slopes. The only complaint I have is that the wi-fi was not working while I was there. staff is friendly. price is excellent for what you get. would highly recommend.

Tremblant-Les-Eaux

We had a wonderful summer stay at the Tremblant-Les-Eaux, second floor two story unit. Close to pedestrian village and all activities. Quiet and well maintained. We had a few problems (wrong keys given at check-in, DVD player not always working) but they were quickly resolved after a phone call to Tremblant Sunstar's office at Château Beauvallon. It was getting a little bit noisy at night from Chemin Duplessis traffic, but nothing too bothering. The only down side is the main swimming pool being too crowded and awkwardly located. There is a large BBQ on the balcony. There is no air conditioning unit, so on hot sunny days make sure you close your window coverings in the morning to keep the sun away. There is a bus, but we did not want to plan our day around its schedule and always walked to and from the resort, which is not far. But when you go to Tremblant-Les-Eaux, the main focus should be Mont-Tremblant itself and all activities around it. My advice would be: spend your time in the mountains and get back to the condo at the end of the day to get some rest. That would be the time well spent at those beautiful surroundings.

Average customer service

This is the fourth year we stayed at Tremblant for our summer vacation. The first three years were great and the condos very nice. this year we stayed at Le Plateau (238-4) and it was pretty avearge. First thing we noticed was the screen door just laying on the balcony. I tried putting it back but the frame was damaged. 2nd thing was an old picnic table instead instead of a table and chair, not very confortable when your trying to relax and read a book. We did call customer serviceand had no feedback. 3rd issue was no internet or WiFi in the room, we called twice and even went to the reservation desk and they didn' t do anything except tell us that we could use the hotel room...... how practical is that, specially when I could see multiple locked down WiFi's from other rooms. I think Sunstar should re evaluate their customer service.

2010-01-12 23:19:24

Very Poor Management

If you plan to book a condo with Sunstar at Tremblant make sure you double check that the accomodations that you requested are the ones that you will be getting!! The management of this company is poorly organized and not well run. The accomodations were great but not for ski in / ski out! There are plenty of issues at this resort that have to be resolved.

At your own risk!

My husband & I have travelled extensively and try to be fair in our evaluations of our lodgings. At the end of July 2009 we booked 3 nights at Les Manoirs for a 3-bedroom condominium with 2 other couples. This was our annual hiking and get together weekend. We arrived in the evening in the darkness and had a heck of a time finding the path leading to the condominium. There were no signs or lighting indicating where the path was hidden up the street in the trees. The unit itself was clean and comfortable. The wifi did not work at it took several calls to reception before someone finally came to fix it late the next day. One of the pools was also closed, at the height of summer, with no indication of when it would reopen. The pièce de resistance came on our second day. It was raining and we decided to spend the day at the condo but needed to get some supplies. While trying to negotiate the narrow (rock and grass) pathway to get to our car I slipped and broke my ankle. I was rushed to the hospital by my husband and friends. I was hospitalized for a week before having surgery to repair the injuries I had sustained. I called Les Manoirs from the hospital to tell them about the accident and asked them to have someone assess the lighting and entranceway to this unit. We did not hear any more and the next day I called back to be told that someone had passed by but had found nothing wrong. They had made no attempt to contact anyone at our condo to advise us of the rationale for these finding. I have incurred many expenses due to this injury including physiotherapy, medical equipment, and transport costs to and from work during the time I could not walk. To this day 4 months later I am still in pain and will probably have a permanent limp. I wrote a letter to the admnistration of Les Manoirs explaining my experience. I heard from a representative about 3 weeks later. I asked that the signage and lighting be improved for this unit to avoid future problems and that the administration be more proactive, responsive and representative of a 4-star resort. He offered me a weekend (2 nights) in a similar unit and said he would bring up my points at the next owners meeting. I asked that they give us 3 nights free since we had lost our weekend and I had suffered so much. This conversation was in September and despite e-mails and telephone messages I have not heard back from them. I am not an unreasonable person but I do expect a certain level of responsiveness and professionalism especially from an establishment that prides itself on being a 4-star hotel. All I can say is it would probably be better if people stayed away from this establishment unless they are willing to do so at their own risk.

Nice but some issues

This is the second time we stayed at Les Manoir. The first time we rented a two bedroom and had no problems. We had a spacious unit that was very nice and clean. The second time we rented a one bedroom and planned to use the sofa bed for my sons. We found that the sofa bed was horrible. You couldn't sleep on it at all. We had to pull the mattress off and sleep on the floor. Also, there was very little bedding available for the sofa bed, just one blanket. The sofa was very old and worn and stained. It wasn't nearly as nice as the one we had in the unit we had before. I was quite surprised that although the unit was advertised as sleeping four, the quality of the second bed was really low rate motel (not a four star condo). I suggested to them that they replace the aging sofa bed - or at least be honest with guests about the sleeping arrangements. Also, the location is wonderful if you like to be away from the pedestrian village (i. e. it is quiet) but it is a bit of a pain transportation wise (i. e. getting on the shuttle with your skiis and then waiting for the shuttle at the end of the day). For the same price you can get a condo in the village and avoid the hassle.

2013-12-17 23:35:07

Worst ever

This is not an ski-in ski-out condo, the air lift to access it seldom works. Alternative is taking a bus to the village. Neither cleaning service nor concierge. Very poor service. Not what was expected, there are better alternatives in the village, never coming back!
