About Manitonga Hostel
Manitonga Hostel & Bar is the best option in Mont-Tremblant for those who want to explore around while staying on a budget. Located 5-minute drive from the ski station (Mont Tremblant Village) or 10 minute-free shuttle ride, with the bus stop being right in front of the hostel. The National Park of Mont-Tremblant is a 20-minute drive to main access called " Porte d'accueil de la Diable ". Restaurants, pharmacies, markets, and the post office are just a 15-minute walk. We offer you eight or four mixed dorms as well as a female dorm. We also have private family rooms (double bed and two single beds as bunkbed, so three beds total for four people max) and private rooms. Bathrooms and toilets are shared for all types of accommodation. Manitonga Hostel & Bar features an on-site bar with free billiards, a free football table, and a free ping pong table. Our kitchen is available 24 / 7 and we offer utensils four your convenience. Our hostel has a beautiful lake in the backyard and you can see some wild animals on our premises. Our team is eager to welcome you and provide you with a warm stay. We will make sure you have a chance to enjoy nature and experience a pleasant vacation. HOSTEL RULES & POLICIES: Respect the other guests, the staff and the hostel's accommodation. Do not smoke or use fire in the building. 200 CAD fine will be applied. Do not turn off the smoke detectors in the rooms. 500 CAD fine will be applied. Do not consume alcoholic drinks in the rooms. No outside alcohol is allowed in the building. The LAW OF QUEBEC prohibits it. Guests who haven't paid are not allowed in the rooms. At night, external people are not allowed in the hostel. Please make sure the front door is closed properly when you enter and don't let anybody in you don't know or who do not have a key. Return your key at the reception when you check out. We will charge you an amount of 10 CAD, for each key / card not returned. All payments done at the reception cannot be refunded. The staff is allowed to ask for a deposit. Dogs or any other pets are not allowed in the building, except service dogs. CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT: Check-in time is at 15:00 hrs. If you are arriving early, we can hold your bags until your room is ready. The accommodation fee is to be paid on arrival. Payments can be done with Mastercard, Visa, Amex, Discover, and Canadian Dollars (CAD). After check-in we can't refund money, cancellation after checking in is not possible. In case you require more than one key to the room, let us know. Check-out is at 11:00 am daily. We do not accept late check-out. An extension can be given depending on the availability. Please inform us at least 24 hours in advance. Subject to availability of the storage space, the guest can store luggage in the luggage room. We do not hold any responsibilities for lost or damaged luggage.

Accident de voiture (pluies verglaçantes, véhicule HS), 2j après ma réservation pour 3 nuitées. J'ai rapidement contacté l'auberge. Mon séjour, ayant été anticipé, devait avoir lieu 17 jours après ma réservation. La réservation a eu lieu sur la plateforme Airbnb. Malgré mes multiples demandes de remboursement ou compromis financiers avec Charlotte, AUCUNE ATTENTION n'y a été portée !! La plateforme Airbnb a été contactée à 2 reprises pour trouver une alternative avec l'hôte. Rien n'y à fait. Raison : " Politique de l'établissement ". Plutôt une auberge proche de son argent qui préfère accaparer un montant de 850$ à un étudiant ayant économisé toute l'année et qui ne pourra évidemment pas être présent puisqu'il n'a plus de voiture ! Bruyant chambre familiale au dessus du bar
Oublier cet etablissement pour des Vacances en famille. Chambre familiale au dessus du bar sans nous avertir, musique forte boumboum jusqu a 22h, gens qui crient dans le bar, dans les corridors et en dehors dans le stationnement. Le Proprio dit qu il va fermer son bar a 20h s il le faut …. mais il n en est rien. La musique arrete a 22h et les gens continuent de faire du bruit. Nous n avons pas dormi de la semaine. Nous voulions nous faire rembourser en arrivant la premiere nuit mais le Proprio matthieu n a jamais voulu. Il dit que ce n est pas la Premiere fois qu il entend un client se plaindre et menacer de faire de mauvais commentaires sur les reseaux. Bien matthieu sache que tu viens de Perdre de bons clients qui ont loué 5 nuits, par ton mauvais service et la chambre familiale au dessus du bar.
Took $700 of my son's $900 sport bursary
They would not reimburse us for 3 of 5 days for a booking for 17 year old kid's for roller ski training camp that was cancelled owing to air quality (forest fires). 72 hour notice required but the camp was cancelled only 24 hours so we expected to pay 2 days. They refused to refund anything. Now we are out $700 (my son's sport bursary). Sadly, there was a run around and sneakiness by the establishment in our correspondence including promises for future credit. Went back in late September and they would not honour it. Clearly, if you book here and thinking cancellation (or even partial cancellation) will be ok, you are taking a gamble as they cannot be trusted.
Better not book here, risk of last minute cancellation!
Despite the fact that our stay had already been booked and confirmed well in advance, Auberge Manitonga unilaterally canceled it on the day of arrival. Reason: due to a technical problem they could not charge our credit card. Worse, our room had already been rerented. So at 8 p. m. we had to look for another place to stay for our family of 5! The receptionist remained calm, but did not help find a solution (except for 1 phone call, without result). On the contrary: she pointed out to us that we have to ensure that the credit card works. It later turned out that the problem was not ours at all, but theirs. In summary: I assume that things will often go well and be in order (see other reviews), but they are not really customer-friendly. If things do NOT go well, you really don't want to have booked at Auberge Manitonga.
Tip top hostel
Super friendly staff, very helpful and smiley. Sharing bathroom no problem, generally empty and spotless, free shampoo and soap. Kitchen fully equipped, easy to cook and prepare meals. Free brew all day. Atmospheric little bar, free bar football and pool, great selection of proper beers. Perfect spot for a recoup of funds, meet and chat, and all nestling close to lac Moore. Perfect.

I reviewed this on hostelworld but this is a hidden gem and one that I will go back to 100%. -Staff was so lovely and friendly! -Kitchen very spacious and has everything you can think of to cook with -Went during February so the hostel was pretty empty but there are common area spaces to hang out in as well as a bar area to hang out in -Parking on-site -Very clean spaces cannot complain and provided me with base toiletries. -Showers within the washroom on each floor but big spaces and private -Bus stop right outside the hostel-used it to get in and out everyday to ski-free to use -Grocery store 15 minute walk outside of town but just a few minutes drive (I would practice your french or just be prepared that not many will interact in english FYI) -The grocery store does have the best pies!!!!

Très bon emplacement, chambre double privée et douches très propres et jolies. L'étage du bas réservé à la cuisine est cependant d'un autre temps, odeurs de javel désagréables, bruits des frigidaires vraiment dérangeants et décoration très vieillotte. Le bar, censé être ouvert, ne l'a jamais été et le personnel était absent durant tout le séjour sauf lors du Check-in. Pas d'info sur la location de kayak. Chantier attenant à l'auberge réveille dès 7h00.
Super place
Super accueil, ambiance décontractée et festive le soir, au coin du feu. Le spot est magnifique avec un accès gratuit au lac, avec pédalos, kayaks à disposition. J'ai beaucoup aimé le contact avec le personnel très serviable. Par contre, les gens de passage qui se croient seul au monde en parlant à voix forte la nuit ou tôt le matin, ça agace!!! Ma chambre était super propre, tout comme les hygiènes et douches bien qu'elles soient communes. Bravo au staff. La personne dormant à l étage du dessus à passer la nuit à descendre de son lit et faire les mille pas dans sa chambre faisant grincer le plancher, à tel point que de 2h à 4h, je n ai pas dormi. Un peu plus de rigueur pour faire respecter le bien dans des autres serait le bienvenu. Le prix reste très attrayant au vue des prestations et des tarifs des logements voisins.
Paddleboard on a beautiful lake
The place was super clean, newly renovated. access to the lake, with kayaks and paddleboards. Staff was very friendly. Great Mountain biking trails 100m from the hostel... Very well located Probably one of my best trips to Tremblant!
Great place - if no one snores loudly
Big thank you from me to Jonathan. A super host with a cheeky smile. This place is clean and friendly. It's walkable to several decent restaurants and cafes. I stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed hiking and cycling nearby there. I'm glad I stayed there - and I got the bus on time! 👍🏼😁
séjour à la montagne
Nous avons séjourné deux nuits au sein de cette auberge. L'accueil a été très agréable, la chambre était correcte, les sanitaires et douches étaient propres. Le plus: L'accès au lac Moore (à pied, juste en face du bâtiment). L'auberge met même des canots à disposition! c'est juste parfait quand il fait plus de 30 degrés ! Pour le reste grande cuisine, beau bar et bonne musique !
