Dry food and expensive
Not recommended. The food lacks taste and is too dry. The glass of water served to us then was dirty. There are many better restaurants worth your time and money.
Poor customer service
Poor customer service. Not recommended to go there. Hindi namamansin mga waiter nila. Papaicture lang galit pa yung waiter kapag nagtatawag hindi namamansin kahit na katabi naman sila at sa harap yung reception.
Horrible food
I ate there with my wife. The steak was expensive and a very poor quality. It was not the cut that I ordered, Ribeye, the meat was dry, and tough. We will not return and if asked we will never recommend this place.
Cold, very cold food with substitutions without permission
Here is an honest review. I was in the mood for a steak and looked up on Google and saw this place. Walked in with my wife and was immediately seated. They brought out the menu and noticed that many of the items were not available. There was a steak that is priced at 1700+ pesos and thinking that was just too pricey for a place I don't know. I opted for the sampler meat dish for about 1220 pesos. The dish was advertised as what looked like sliced fried pork belly, pork spare ribs and beef belly. My wife ordered the full baby back spare ribs for about 600+ pesos. Red flag on service is that the waiter took the order without writing it down and in passing by the table. Didn't even wait and asked us what to drink and gave us water. After about 10 to 15 minutes, he brought us out our meal and left. My wife dug into her ribs and told me it was cold. I felt it and yes, it was cold. I mean, really cold. As if you just took it out of the refridgerator cold. The side of corn on the cob, was just a bowl of corn soup which wasn't as advertised. I look at my dish and felt the spare ribs and it too was cold. Instead of fried pork belly like, they gave me chicken fried steak. The beef belly was also cold, refrigerated cold like and the fat was a bit hard. I had a side of mash potatoes and corn soup. I tasted the corn soup and it was pretty gross. Tasted like cream corn with some condense soup. Mash potato wasn't there yet but waved over the waiter and told him that our food was extremely cold and that when we are served our food, at a minimum it should be served hot. I also said that why didn't I get served pork belly and got chicken fried steak instead. He said thst they ran out and I said that if they ran out, they should tell me before they substituted something else. I did say it a bit angrily and loud enough because at that moment, I was getting pretty upset with the combination of things going wrong. He took the meals back to the kitchen and I continued to try and eat the corn soup and my wife and I ate the side ceasar salad. The croutons were homemade and soft vs crunchy, salad was wilted but tasted ok. 300 pesos was a bit pricey as well. We got our food back after about 5 minutes and it was the same food. They most likely put it in the microwave. My baby back and wife's was a bit dry and basically no fat. Seems like they used a very skinny piece from the beginning. The beef belly was pretty good and so was the chicken fried steak, thus the 2 stars, vs 1. Still wasn't too hot. The mashed potato was actually pretty gross also that was served later. It tasted like boxed potato and soupy. Tasted like they added some evaporated milk to it as well. Gravy served with it was extremely salty. Tasted okay otherwise, but it was like adding soup to soup mashed potato. Got our bill and they still added the 5% mandatory gratuity charge in which they called a service charge. The waiter again apologized for the cold food etc. This place is a one visit place for me. I think that the kitchen staff was maybe some young teenager that just reheats food. You aren't really eating any freshly cooked meals here. If you are looking for a bit of western food, I'd pass on this place. Perhaps it was good when they first opened with a full menu, but it seems like they might have fallen deeply. Seems like the placed was possibly owned by a foreigner at first and taken over by a local with no experience on how things should taste and service should be done. I honestly would not reccomend this place unless you are wanting chicken fried steak which like I said, wasn't too bad as it was the meat that was recently cooked.
Good Steak
the place was empty when we went for early dinner. However a lot of items in the menu were not available. we ordered Crackling pork belly, hardcore carnivore, fried steak and pork chop. Food was great with adequate servings. A bit pricey but delicious food.
Good but not the best in town!
We celebrated a birthday when I went here and because of the talks about their steak, we decided to order their Hardcore Carnivore which included their slow-roasted US beef belly, crackling pork belly roast and the baby back ribs. There's nothing extraordinary about their sampler; the beef belly was really tender and juicy (or oily hehehe). Steaks can be better if matched with great salsa or sauces. They provided three sauces (not my choice but their choice). I would suggest that they need to ask customers re the sauce they want to have and also, I suggest putting more effort in concocting new sauces like " gremolata " (best if you like that herb taste) or sriracha-based sauce. Their red ice tea was too sweet. Service is good and they accept debit and credit cards.
And again
Not the first time we went. You will definitely keep going back to this place because of the food. Price for me is not too bad. Plenty of parking outside.
Great for family and friends
This restaurant is conveniently located inside Clark but not to far from the perimeter fence. Parking area is fine. The restaurant is decent and not overly decorated. The food is perfect for sharing. They have a wide array of choices on their menu and the food is amazing.
Not recommending it!
Beef belly was good as it was tender and blended well with the sides served with it. The ribs tasted average, nothing unique about them other than their fork-tenderness but they tasted like any other bbq ribs. The pork crackling was not crunchy at all! instead, the skin was chewy and the last layer of meat very hard to chew. It was not enjoyable to eat and that put us off big time since people kept giving that dish a good review! We thought it was really good but it wasnt, it was actually bad. Definitely Not worth its price. The country style steak was a bit on the dry side. We did not get any juiciness from it. Please do not get their salmon teriyaki, I can make this better at home, it will definitely fail your expectations. Their potato crisscuts were hard; Their buffalo chicken too salty. Service was ok but not spectacular enough to make us ignore the food and not write a bad review. I wrote this review because I had very high expectations for this restaurant becausebof the price range of food but after eating there, I was beyond disappointed for having to spend that much for that kind of food. Not coming back and will not recommend it to friends.
Good food - nice service
A visit to Chops is one where you can find a nice meal for a couple, or a large family. The menu is varied enough so that it can fit the taste buds of anyone. My wife and I usually try a variety in order that we can widen our experience The ribs are usually a part and some of the corn dishes are wonderful. The staff are most friendly and it is not a problem to 'bring home what you don't eat.
Great food
We had late lunch and tried the crispy pork belly. It was fantastic. For the price, it came with salad and rice, it was perfect for my wife and I. Can't wait to eat there again and try the other choices on the menu. We'll bring our kids next time.
Food was so so
Ordered the Hardcore Carnivore P999. The ribs were good but a bit dry. The crackling pork belly roast with miso was dry and the skin was chewy, had to have it cooked again which was much better after. But a bit bland so it was much better after the sauce. The slow roasted pork belly was the best. For sides the chessy broccoli was bland, better after salt. The best was the parmesan creamed corn & spinach!
Thumbs up👍 Ribeye Steak
Appetizer needs improvement in terms of serving size and taste. Nothing spectacular with the Mussels. Chips were good. Crispy Belly lives to my expectations. The USDA Ribeye Steak is great. Red ice tea was too sweet, I had to ask water to dilute its taste. The cheese cake we had for desert is not good. Overall, we were satisfied and we will be back to try other food they offer.
Meat is dry and tough
I guess if you go to a meat restaurant, the meat has to be great. It wasn't. It was dry and tough The place is a bit of a mess, not tidy, staff not very attentive. Very disappointing
Buttermilk Fried Chicken
I visited this place for the 4th time and still will comeback. Must Try: Buttermilk Fried Chicken Angus Ribeye with Foie Gras Shrimp & Salmon duet in Lemon Cream Lasagna Service 5 / 5 Food 4.5 / 5 Ambiance 4.5 / 5 Value for money 4 / 5 They offer big portions so you can have it shared with others, price is reasonable for their servings. Though try to avoid their rice since it is a bit pricey when you order it as per serving. People gather hear at normal lunch time 11:30am-1pm.
Great liempo!
Mom always recommended this to me! The food was great even though it was pricy. The ambiance was great and the waiters were attentive.
アメリカ料理
フィリピンのクラークのホテルにあるこちらのレストランでは気軽にアメリカ料理を食べることができますので利用しやすいです。
Yum
Ambiance is nice because it's clean and well lit. The food is for sharing. I would not say inexpensive but the price is very reasonable.
House of Chops
I can say without a doubt that this restaurant is simply the best I think one of the finest steakhouse restaurants in Pampanga. Let's start with their online reservation on their FB Page they are very responsive they answered all my inquiries without living you hanging; unlike the other resto that will give you a " seenzoned " mode in millennial term. Hahaha! The resto per se has a good interior and wall design as the name implies. Atmosphere is sophisticated but, at the same time, almost homey, making House of chops a very pleasant dining experience. Friendly and attentive service crews. The FOOD, all they served has a " WOW " on it particularly the " Baby Back ribs with honey BBQ sauce & corn on the cob " Tender but not falling apart, tastefully perfect ribs. Another viand that we ordered is the US country Fried Steak with sausage that really let the meat speak for itself. The side orders, such as Pesto stuffed chicken rolls, classic Caesar salad and rainbow nachos, are also excellent. Lastly, Prices, too, are reasonable for the quality, though certainly not cheap. I would highly recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.
Great Food -- a good western restaurant
Ate here for the first time the other day and The food was great. We ordered the shrimp bisque, clam chowder, and salad to start and it set the tone for a great meal. We then had the crispy pork belly, bbq baby back ribs, and the beef belly was exceptional. It was all western style, but you could taste some filipino influence in it. It was a pleasant surprise to eat here and a refreshing change from the usual pinoy or korean places we eat at. The restaurant has function rooms as there was a big group having their usual weekly gathering there. I would recommend this restaurant. I enjoyed the food so much I am getting them for catering for a private event on the Clark International Speedway which just a few kms away. If you are in town from the US and miss good western / great bbq, this is an awesome place to find your comfort food. And again, if you are local, a great restaurant that steps away from the usual pinoy food we always have in the area. The prices were very reasonable as well. Awesome! Oh... and they showed us this awesome tomahawk (i think) steak and I will be ordering this next time!!!!
Dinner at House of Chops
Seems to be affiliate of Binulo Restaurant. Place is clean. Parking is plentiful. Not so many visitors so it is ok for chit chat with friends.
One of the nicer food places in Clark
House of Chops is one of the nicer food places to go to in Clark if you are looking for pretty good meat. The place is also cozy, good place to hang our if you want to try something different.
Should be Called House of Chop
There were a group of 16 of us who visited there for dinner and I must say I was expecting a lot more. To say I was a little disappointed would be an understatement. The Menu looked impressive until I started reading it. There was ONE Chop actually in the Menu and that was a Pork Chop. It was interesting to see Fried Steak on the Menu. It turns out they are using Chuck Eye for this. Not what you use for a steak so that was off our list of choices. It was interesting to see that there was a Supreme Beef Shepherds Pie. That is not possible considering a Shepherds Pie has Lamb in it and not Beef, If it has Beef in it then it is a Cottage Pie. How can they get that so wrong. I decided to order it anyway however they only had enough for 2 people and that's it. We were the first customers and that's all they had prepared. Very poor effort from the kitchen. If you look in the Menu they have a heading called Chops. Under that there is only ONE Chop and that is a Pork Chop. I had an entree which was Mozzarella Triangles, Mini Salmon Cakes and Buffalo Bites. This was quite nice even though it came our only just warm. The sauce with the Buffalo Bites had some great Chili Sauce over it. For the Main Meal I ordered the Classic Baked Lasagna. That was very tasty however once you got through the top layer the rest of it was slightly warm to cold. I also ordered some Garlic Toast and it would have to be the worst Garlic Toast / Bread I have ever seen. It was crusts that were dry and hardly any garlic butter at all on them. I have attached a photo so you can judge for yourself. They only serve Beer and Soft drinks there and a very small Red Wine Selection. The service was average at best and we had to keep asking to be served instead of the other way round. I will definitely not be going back there again and strongly recommend you look for somewhere else to dine out.
Great lunch
We really enjoyed the lunch at this place. We ordered shrimps and squid as starters. Baby ribs and Salmon as main courses. It was really good. Price was OK. Friendly efficient staff. We will return.
Enjoyed our Lunch
We had lunch here with my friends before proceeding to Fontana and we really enjoyed it. Portion of food is big, the taste was so yummy and delicious and service was fast. Love the ambiance as well.
Great Food
It's our first time to explore restaurants inside Clark. And it was such a great start to try our first dining here at Chops. They recommended we try their crackling pork belly and we were not disappointed, my son loved their shrimp pop and fries too. Overall, i would recommend this place to my friends. Nice ambiance, reasonable price and friendly staff. Worth the price we paid for.
Hmm
Their plates look really nice, makes the food look expensive. But for their pricing range, I know better places to go to that will give me more value. I think their food is ok, but other than the heavy and odd shaped plates that look nice for an instagram post, I'm not very satisfied with how much I paid for. There are way too many restaurants I'd rather go to in Angeles especially when you exit from Friendship gate
One of the best steaks in the city
My friends and I went here last Feb. 10 and it was my third time to visit House of Chops. We ordered Crackling Pork Belly and their famous Baby Back Ribs - which is the best baby back ribs for me. We were five and we almost didn't finish the dishes because we were so full, the price for the food was really worth it! Their food was really great and their staff were very accommodating. I gave it a 4 because the restaurant was not that accessible for everyone especially to those who don't have personal vehicle. But I would still definitely recommend this to my family and friends.
Cravings satisfied
It was an Early xmas gathering for me and my friends. We craved for some steaks and the mouthwatering steaks of house of chops made our night. It was indeed one of the best steak experience that we had. Our taste buds were definitely satisfied.
When you want to impress your out-of-town visitors in Angeles City!
If you want your guests to have the best steak in Angeles City, take them to House of Chops in M. A. Roxas Avenue in Clark, Angeles City, Pampanga. Since HoC only offers premium-grade steaks, make sure to specify " medium rare " for the doneness, so you can enjoy its full beef flavour. I have roamed around the entire province and only HoC serves foie gras as an add on. For all the meat lovers out there, you really get what you pay for. Their staff are welcoming and friendly. I take all my business associates in HoC and we conduct our meetings here especially now that they just renovated and added a new function room for groups of up to 80 people. HoC rightly belongs to the Philippines' culinary capital. You just have to visit and have a taste so you'll know what I'm raving about :)
Yum!
Great service and the food is so yummy! Price is reasonable. The place is simple and well kept. The food is in generous portions.
Salty food
We ordered corned beef with mashed potato and steak fried rice and crackling pork belly with cream corn and spinach and Spanish rice. My husband says that the corned beef was cured so its suppose to be salty not sure with the crackling pork belly maybe its also suppose to be salty, but cream corn and spinach and steak fried rice to be salty i don't think so. Maybe we just ordered wrong combination of foods i dunno coz when we told to our waiter that the foods are salty he just said we'll tell our chef no explanation what so ever. Good thing though fast service, good ambiance and smiling server.
Yuck!
January 25, 2017 Very expensive meals such as country fried steak P700 prawns thermador P480 so I got clam chowder P110 hat was very watery and tasteless served with a very small sliver of over toasted bread. A can of Campbells clam chowder is much, much better. Now I understand why their was no customers here. I can not recommend this place too anyone.
Perfect for the family
Great ambience, perfectly cooked meals 😍 can accommodate 3-4 persons per order and reasonably priced. Great for family celebrations!
Truly a feast!
True to their slogan! A meal to share for the entire family! Enjoyed our time together while sharing the food full of flavor! Do try the ribs and the chops! This should be a given. If you are the type of being daring try their pasta with mushroom truffles. Very interesting! Plus! The price is just right!
For Big Group
Dined here twice. The first time was with my hubby. Food is great and served in large portion. Suitable for big family or group. You just have to wait for a while for them to be able to served your order but its worth the wait.
Yummy :-) :-)
Worth the wait, the food is tasty and oh so yummy, even though I wait for more than 20mins for the food to serve,. All I can say all the foods in there menu taste so good. Try there apple pie as dessert :-)
Good Service and Good Food
My wife and I have dined at Chops several times and truly enjoy the food served by 1st class staff. Our favorites are the tender and wondefully flavored pork ribs. Don't forget to add spinach and cheese as a side dish. We recently took friends there, who were also very pleased with their meals.
Okay restaurant with large portions
Came here with some friends. If you're looking for healthy food, don't come here. The portions are good sized for the money. The menu even says all entrée serve 2-3 people. The ribs and pork are good. Pass on the seafood skewers, they weren't that great.
House of Chops
Came in with a party of four hungry men and left full as could be. We ordered the Prawns, baby back ribs, stuffed pork chop and crackling pork belly. All of it was said to feed 2-3 people and it was pretty accurate. The ribs were not very meaty but had great flavor. Overall, a great experience with a good staff.
Great Food in Clark
Really nice atmosphere. Service was great. Had the shepherd's pie. Absolutely spot on to the best versions of the dish I've had in the US and England. Very meaty and served piping hot. Really is enough for two, huge portions. Great restaurant, I highly recommend it.
Worth the price
Pork was a bit salty but ok once eaten with rice. This for me is good for 4 rather than 2-3, unless you have a big appetite. The sauce was rather too sweet. They used overripe watermelon on the shake we ordered, but replaced it with a new one after we told them. This is a great place to dine when with a big group.
Big serving
Big serving, delicious food and affordable prices for big groups. Staffs are very accommodating however owners were opposite, the look at their customers from head to foot.
Long weekend!
Was planning to go to another restaurant but saw this along the main road... Was worth it! Servings are big and delicious! Although the guy who opened the door can be a lot friendlier and welcoming next time.
Family Sized Serving
Good Food with simple yet relaxing ambiance. All the food except for the children's menu are good for 2-4 persons depending on your appetite but It can adequately feed 3 persons. worth it!
