We camped at GoxHill for 3 nights. A lovely well kept venue on a cattle farm. It's a small park, but the very comfortable with clean ablutions and hot water. It's also a central point for taking a trip up Sani Pass into Lesotho. There is also a 12 sleeper lodge and 3 smaller units that are lovely, if you prefer the more comfortable type of accommodation. Victor, the manager, is very accommodating, friendly and went out of his way to ensuring we were comfortable. There are a Number of well stocked dams for fishing.
Was a great stay
A hidden rustic gem. Nice and quiet with farm near by. Sit out the back on the veranda and watch the sun go down. Strong feeling of history to the place. Clean and comfy with spacious rooms. Handy place to stay before going up Sani pass.
Amazing place
Amazing place and has old feel about the place. Very clean. Bring wood if you want to light the fire. It can get cold in the house. Very spacious. Plenty of space and rooms for family. The beds were super comfy.
Peace and quiet
We had planned to camp at Goxhill, but recent heavy rain had left the campsite too wet so we decided to stay in Kingfisher cottage. This is not luxury accommodation, but it was clean and neat and equipped with everything you need for a self-catering holiday. The bed was extremely comfortable and we relished the peace and quiet. There is something so soul restoring about being on a farm, especially if you're not the one who has to get up early to milk the cows! The dam is a short walk away and the surroundings are beautiful!
Superb place
Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. So full of character, beautifully clean, quiet and a beautiful location though may need a larger car in the wet. Felt privileged to stay there. Staff lovely and able to walk to the dam which is teaming with bird life. Loved staying there and well equipped.
A real faarm experiance
Our host made us feel so at home and stopped by on occasion to check that all was well. This is not a 5 star place in comfort and mod-cons but if you want to relax with a book or just unwind it is just the place. It is situated on a dairy farm and each day you see the cows on there way to the milking shed. A tour of the milking facility put a different perspective on " milking a cow ". We also had the loan of the farmers dogs to ensure we felt at home, my daughter loved the friendly characters to bits.
