Cozy and pleasant stay
The property is set on a private property in very quiet area. Short (10 minutes) drive to Underberg. Great continental breakfast was offered in room (in fridge). The cottage was spacious, like a small home. Modern bathroom and tastefully furnished living room. Very pleasant stay!
Great
Sehr freundlich und engagierter Gastgeber. Hat uns viele Tipps gegeben, uns an gute Restaurants, Nationalparks zum wandern, Tourguides (Sanipass inkl. Lesotho) vermittelt und diese für uns gebucht. Es war immer sauber und wurde jeden Tag gereinigt. Der Garten ist wunderschön und es lässt sich dort gut aufhalten. Das Frühstück war vielfältig und lecker. Insgesamt hatten wir alles was wir brauchten und mehr :) Wir würden wieder kommen.

We arrived at the accommodation an hour earlier than anticipated, and was warmly welcomed to a neat and well furnished room with all the amenities explained to us. Great garden and well kept establishment, A true gem in the Drakensberg area!!Clean and neat upmarket establishment with helpful and friendly staff!Very Impressed!!
Happy in Himeville
My husband and I recently spent the holiday period at 61 on Sutton and cannot speak highly enough of the experience. Our host, John, was charming, helpful, thorough and nothing was ever too much trouble. The cottage we stayed in was elegant, comfortable, spotless, and contained everything we could wish for whether just for bed and breakfast or for anyone wanting to make an evening meal and in a very quiet area with a glorious garden and good security. I could not recommend it highly enough and shall most certainly be returning. Thank you John.
Excellent place to stay!!!
I was fortunate enough to have been able to stay at 61 on Sutton in Himeville. We received a very warm welcome from John the owner. John and his staff were extremely friendly. John even offered and made restaurant bookings prior to our arrival. John made us feel so welcome and advised us on so many delightful places to visit. Without doubt a true example of excellent hospitality and one of the favourite places I have stayed. Very neat, clean, well stocked, homely units with free Wi-Fi. It was B & B, breakfast include bread slices, cheese, butter, fresh fruits, yogurt, milk, sugar, tea / coffee bags and cold meats. The units we booked were well equip with a magnificent garden. All respect for John who does a great job here. I would highly recommend 61 on Sutton to anyone!! Missing the place already! Chris
Stunning, Elegant BnB
We loved our stay at 61 on Sutton. Immaculate, luxurious, Spotless. Such attention to detail. Beautiful bedding, sumptious breakfast - continental style, lovely shampoos and bathroom creams. Beautiful garden, abundant birdlife. Will definitely stay again soon

What an outstanding bnb the perfect combination of self catering and bnb. Wonderful continental breakfast. Very neat and clean units. Well equip with a magnificent garden and communal braai area. Will definitely go back.
Nice B & B
A quality, clean and comfortable place. Recommend it for fall, winter and spring. Summer may be uncomfortable since there is no air conditioning and you need to keep windows open to get cool air. However, there is no window screen to keep the insects / mosquitos out.
Best B & B at Himeville
My colleague and I spent 11 nights at John's B & B. We had a great time and the place was amazing. John has treated us with so much respect and he friendly. The rooms were clean and the homely, it was a great stay.
Lovely guesthouse near sanipass with very pleasant host
A nice and peaceful stay near Sanipass. We loved having breakfast in the beautiful garden. John is a very pleasant host and he can show you around. We were here for one night, but that is actually too short. Highly recommended.
Great stay!
My friend and I recently spent a weekend in Underberg. Host was great - very friendly and willing to help with bookings etc. Home was neat and well stocked. Garden was great for a relaxing afternoon. Will definitely visit again and would recommend this home to anyone looking
Gemütlich und sehr sauber!
Wir verbrachten 2 Nächte bei John in seinem Apartment, kingston Suite ". Die Buchung verlief unkompliziert. John buchte für uns eine Sani Tour. Die Kommunikation verlief bereits im Voraus perfekt. Bei der Ankunft fühlten wir uns sehr wohl. Eigentlich wollte John uns persönlich begrüßen. Aber leider versäumte ich ihm den Tag vorher zu antworten. Wir hatten kein Internet am Handy. Aber er kam sofort, als er hörte, dass wir angekommen sind. Er erklärte uns wo wir sehr gut zu Abend essen können und reservierte uns einen Tisch. Und er hat nicht zu viel versprochen. Zu unserm Zimmer. Das Zimmer war sehr schön und stilvoll eingerichtet. Und es war sehr sauber. Im Kühlschrank stand ein Frühstück bereit, sowie Wasser, Milch, sagt und joghurt. Das Bett war bequem. Wir haben nirgends so gut geschlafen wie bei John. Das Bad war auch sauber und ist mit einer Dusche ausgestattet. Um das kleine Häuschen gibt es einen wunderschönen Garten. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Es gab auch einen überdachten Stellplatz für unser Auto. Und ein elektrisches rolltor mit Fernbedienung. Also es ist auch sehr sicher bei John. Am 2 Tag zeigte John uns einen wundervollen Ort, den wir ohne ihn sicher niemals besucht hätten. Wir tranken afrikanisches Bier und schauten uns den Sonnenuntergang an. Im Anschluss verbrachten wir den restlichen Abend mit John in einem Restaurant in dem üblicherweise nur einheimische verweilen. Auch dies war ein tolles Erlebnis!! Alles in allem war der Aufenthalt bei John 61 on sutton richtig toll und nur zu empfehlen!!!!
Amazing stay
The owner, John, is very friendly & helpful. We booked two rooms, both were very neat & clean. It was B & B, breakfast include bread slices, cheese, butter, fresh fruits, yogurt, milk, sugar, tea / coffee bags, oats. I love the SUN room, where bbq was also present. the garden is huge & beautiful especially the pond with gold fishes. I would love to visit it again & soon.

Just spent the weekend at 61 on Sutton. We will definitely be back! The attention to detail, nothing was to much, very accommodating. It was freezing cold with snow, but Our room was crispy warm with beautiful bedding. Very central 10 out of 10!
Home away from home
61 on Sutton is a delightful bnb / self catering establishment found tucked away in himeville.. safe secure and warmly welcomed by John... love the cottage Eureka we stayed in... thank-you John for making us feel so welcome and advising us on so many delightful places to visit that locals go to... we will be back..
Comfortable, spotless home!
I have stayed at John's " 61 on Sutton " the past 3 years during the first night before the Sani to Sea Mountain Bike race. John is very friendly and accommodation, understanding the needs of visitors. His house and flats are impeccably clean and neat. He provides as breakfast more than anyone needs, stocking the fridge with a lot of niceties. Free Wi-Fi as well. I can highly recommend 61 on Sutton to anyone seeking a quiet, restful and comfortable stay over. André Smuts.
