Very good!
Very good experience! Got started a little late due to a cab miscommunication, but we were able to get it sorted out. Our tour guide was very patient and nice. He was able to provide lots of information about everything we were seeing, and go into detail. Would recommend!

Ebiking Tour: Great way to see and learn about the popular places of Kyoto
I thought I had booked the Hidden Kyoto Ebiking tour but it may have been the Early Bird Ebiking Tour through East Kyoto. We were glad the day's itinerary included the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine. We had planned to go there the next day and it would have been after 9 am and very crowded. Our guide was very knowledgeable about all the sites we visited. The pace was a bit fast for me not being used to riding in traffic with narrow lanes AND lots of tourist on the roads. Our tour included a stop for a cup of coffee, tea or juice and a delicious Japanese lunch which we got to choose what we wanted from a menu. I would rate the tour a 4 out of 5 stars.
Highly recommended family cycling tour!
Highly recommended cycling tour - a great way to see the city! We were with 2 adults and 2 kids aged 10 & 12. We all received excellent bikes, helmets and instructions. Our guide Quin was fabulous, steering us through calm backstreets, beautiful alleys and providing interesting historical facts and age-appropriate info also for the kids. He was flexible to our wishes and knew the best teppanyaki place for a fast lunch.

Don't let weather be a spoiler
What was supposed to be a bike tour, did not materialize due to bad weather as in rain. I received a call from Jaimi Lopez who was our tour guide to discuss options and possible cancel and get a refund. He then made an offer to drive us instead, which we accepted rather than spend the day in the hotel. Jaimi was knowledgeable, detailed and made it an interactive tour. We discussed things culture, religion, customs etc. We never felt rushed and he provided detailed answers to our questions. Overall what could have been a dull and dreary day in the hotel was changed to a nice tour of Kyoto. We are most grateful that we were given the alternative to go around in a car. We will plan on doing a bike tour if we come back to the area.

A great way to experience Kyoto and see major sites
Paul led a great tour, sharing a bit of the history to provide context for the sites we visited. We learned a lot. The biking was fun and easy. Lunch was delicious. We enjoyed the route through small streets and neighborhoods.
A must-do in Kyoto!
This was a fantastic way to see some of the sights of Kyoto. Our guide Indra was really kind, patient, insightful and fun. He was perfect for our group: took some great photos, explained the 'Japanese' way of thinking and doing and made me think in a different way about a number of things.
Outstanding cycle tour through the special and unique parts of amazing Kyoto
My 22-year-old daughter, and I booked a tour through Cycle Kyoto and loved the extended ride through many parts of this amazing city. Our guide was Jay and he was super knowledgeable, engaging and friendly throughout the entire ride. The tour was supposed to run approximately 5 to 6 hours but instead ran longer. (loved it!) we were very fortunate to see so many parts of the city, since none of our group had prior time constraints. We loved every minute of it and Jay was super hospitable and knew the city intimately. We would definitely recommend this tour and it is an excellent way to see Kyoto on a bike taking you to see so many neighborhoods, temples, and shrines across the city. The tour was well worth cost and would recommend it to anyone who wants to see the city from an intimate standpoint. We rode approximately 13 km but felt like it went by so quick and lots of breaks stopping in at temples and other historical sites. The traffic and pedestrians were manageable, but would still suggest that the riders should be a little bit agile to ride a bike in getting off and on the bikes, but no big deal. One last suggestion, the tour ran longer, so I would recommend not to have any immediate plans immediately after the scheduled tour in the event, that your fortunate to see additional sites and not have to get back to the start point. If you have the time, this is a wonderful way to see the city. Four stars to Jay and his team.
Kyoto bike tour
Our guide was Mayco. She was prompt, courteous and accommodating. Our tour unfortunately started late because of train issues but she made the most of the time we had to see what was important to us. Lunch was delicious at a Ramen place! Coffee stop was just what we needed. We had a great day!
Great way to see Kyoto!
Fantastic way to see this gorgeous city. Kevin was a great guide and our family loved the tour. Saw some highlights, cycling was easy and we learnt a bit about Kyoto. A great activity with teenage kids. We liked it so much we booked another cycle tour with the same crowd in Osaka (and loved that even more!)

Cycling Kyoto April 2023
Our tour leader Jay knows all the back streets and interesting neighborhoods and made the ride better and safer keeping us off busy streets for the most part. Jay is a native of New York and long time resident of Kyoto so we had the advantages of local knowledge and perfect English. He was also able to fill in cultural and historical information.
A Great Day's Cycling in Kyoto
A great day's cycling around Kyoto with Indira as our knowledgeable guide. We visited a number of key sites & Indira explained the history of these as well as sharing information on Japanese culture. The day also included a lovely lunch & was a really fun way to explore the city. Would highly recommend.
Best Tour in Kyoto!
Had a great time with Tierry as our tour guide! He's a local resident and super knowledgeable about Kyoto. Really appreciated that he took us to his favorite spots on top of the regular itinerary. Would easily book again.
Exactly what I was looking for
Cycling through the city gives you a completely different experience than other forms of transportation. The guide was kind and knowledgeable, and each stop we made was meaningful. As much as I enjoyed the destinations, the journey of biking through the streets of Kyoto was the highlight I was hoping it would be. I'd recommend to anyone looking for an active experience.

This tour was a highlight of our trip!! Biking is the perfect way to see lots of Kyoto in an efficient way. We saw some main spots, but loved even more the local highlights our guide took us to as well. Kevin was amazing! Highly highly recommend!!!
Great way to see top Kyoto highlights in a day!
This was the best way to see some major sights in Kyoto in a day! We lucked out and got the most gorgeous weather. Eating lunch under the cherry blossoms near the imperial palace was a highlight of the tour. Tiery was a great guide and even taught us to count in Japanese. Would recommend this to anyone going to Kyoto to see some of the main sights and get the lay of the land. Loved biking around so much, if they had other tours we would have probably signed up for another day. Only 1 small nit is that no one was wearing helmets, which I guess is common in Japan, but I would have preferred to wear one.

Tierry set up the ride by telling us the route, checking and sorting the bikes and setting the challenge of learning 1-99 in Japanese before we were finished! Full of insight not just on history and shinto / buddhism but on lots of the little courtesies in Japan and what is changing around Kyoto. Cycling around Kyoto in the sun in plum blossom season... fab way to cover a lot of ground and earn your sushi. Oh and we learned 1-99😊
Fun family friendly bike tour of south Kyoto
We just completed a private family day bike tour in Kyoto with Indra and had a great overview of southern Kyoto. We were able to visit multiple temples and shrines and ate lunch at a local restaurant. Our guide was very knowledgeable and also very patient with the demands of 3 young kids. We had great weather and it felt good to ride a bike through local streets. We love incorporating bike tours in our travels and this one was one of our favorites.
A wonderful day riding around Kyōto with Indra

Eventful and historically amazing
A wonderful and exciting day, the guides have a great local knowledge and historical context that was really appreciated. The whole group had so much much. We had a sprinkle of snow that helped show off the beauty of Kyoto's greatest landmarks. Can't recommend enough, and we had a bonus stop that was very cool-no spoilers here though!!

Lovely day out, highly recommended
It's wonderful to bike around kyoto, weaving through the small alleys and visiting the shrines. I loved the lunch picnic at the park near the imperial palace. Its a perfect day out, doing some exercise while visiting places. Teris was a great host. He taught us to count from 1 to 99 in japanese during the tour and created a fun and interactive atmosphere. It was a lovely day out and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting kyoto.
Cherry blossom viewing
Very nice online tour of Kyoto and its sakura trees with Kevin and Sam. It was great to experience the tour live from my home in the US. I can't wait to do another in person tour with Cycle Kyoto. I highly recommend it. I did a family tour in 2018 and a solo tour in 2016 and both times had a great experience. If you are in Kyoto, do not miss the opportunity to join a cycle tour with Cycle Kyoto! their guides are very knowledgeable and fun.
A simple gift
We did an online tour of fushimi Inari with the team. It was a great opportunity to escape our appartement where we were lockdown for so long. Thank a lot for this fresh air in a joyfull zoom meeting, sometime too loud with everyone seeking, sometime in echo between guide's two phones, and sometime shaking with the video. But a wonderful gift for us.

Kyoto - North Tour
This cycling tour was our favourite experience during the time we had in Kyoto. Our guide Thierry was incredibly knowledgeable and his enthusiasm made the trip really enjoyable all day. We would recommend this experience to all of our friends!
Kyoto in the sunshine
Kyoto is a great city for exploring by bike and we had a great day with our French guide Thierry. he has been living in Japan for 20 years and was very informative not only about the sights on our route, but also on life in Japan and Japanese culture in general. We has a lovely group of 5, great weather and it was an exhilirating day all round. If you go to Kyoto, do this tour.
Had a great time on North Tour
Our 5+ hour tour with Atticus flew by. Kyoto is a great biking city. We explored back alleys, quiet neighborhoods, UNESCO Heritage Sites, waterways and parks. Atticus is an engaging fellow and we learned a lot about Japanese and Kyoto culture and history.
Super tour and awesome guide
The cycle tour around Kyoto was such an awesome way to get around the city and learn all about it from our awesome guide Teiry. Teiry was very informative and gave us a great overview of Kyoto sites and history. Would definitely recommend this to others wanting a fun way to explore Kyoto.

Fantastic way to see the great sights of Kyoto
We had a wonderful day with Thierry on a sunny, November day. Thierry was funny, pleasant and knowledgeable. He clearly loves Kyoto and took us to places we would never have found ourselves including some a local neighbourhood routes to the more famous sites which showed us the real Kyoto as well as the more famous one. Great way to see Kyoto
We loved our family tour of Kyoto with our Cycle Kyoto guide, Indra. Indra guided our family safely through the city and provided us with a unique perspective on life in Kyoto. We had the privilege of seeing the major tourist attractions but in less known areas. The highlight was seeing many geiko (geisha) on a quiet Kyoto street!
Cycling through historic Kyoto
There's no better way to quickly see a city than on a bike. We have done similar tours in New York and Vancouver. This tour, via Cycle Kyoto, is another excellent example. You really get a sense of the city as you wind your way through the back streets. The roads are safe and flat. Easy riding! Our guide was Remi. Nice guy... who had some good stories. My only advice would be to provide a little more info about the City and what we are seeing, rather than some of his personal stories. He did take us to some great little shops and got us tastings of sake and tea, which was excellent. Thoroughly recommended tour.
Getting to know Kyoto from the inside out
Highly recommend this outing, and our guide - Thierry - if you are interested in getting to know more about Kyoto than just the surface (beautiful though it is). Thierry took us on a lovely tour of the city, through back road with few or no cars, and provided us with lots of interesting tid bits of information that you would not be able to read in a guidebook. We did the full tour, and I have no hesitation recommending it as an easy ride for most people. Kyoto is flat, so there is not much work involved. Both admission to the Golden Pavillion (wow!) and a delicious lunch was included. We wish we had done the tour at the beginning of our visit to Kyoto, and not on the last day, because it was a great introduction to the city, and made us want to go back and revisit areas with our newfound knowledge. Thanks Thierry. We will be back!

Perfecte tour door Kyoto
Vandaag de hele dagtour gedaan (35 km) met Thierry als gids. In 1 woord " perfect'. Dit is 'a must to do thing' wanneer je in Kyoto bent en een sportieve inslag hebt. De vaart zat er lekker in en veel gezien van Kyoto, ook de straatjes en leven in Kyoto zoals je niet snel zal meemaken. Thierry prima gids met veel kennis van de geschiedenis en bezienswaardigheden en erg onderhoudend.
Cool tour an hot September day
We a had a great time cycling around in Kyoto. We did the big tour and saw a lot intersting places around Kyoto. The cycling was nice and easy with very good bicycles. Our guide Remi knows a lot about the places and the Japanese way of living and Japanese culture. Great job!! We can recommend the tour and our guide Remi.
Informative and fun
Great tour, big day with guide Sean - he was very knowledgeable, courteous and passionate about Japanese culture (from Aus but lived in Japan for 14 years). Lunch was nice and we saw heaps of Kyoto.
South Kyoto bike ride
A great way to see any city but with the numerous small back roads and temples this was a really good way to spend a morning experiencing Kyoto. Thierry was an informative and gracious guide who made the tour interesting and ensured the pace suited everyone. Would definitely recommend this tour
Incredible Tour and guides
My husband and I went to Japan for our honeymoon and we love cycling (plus I think its the best way to visit any city) and what an amazing tour it was. Kyoto is a big city so we couldnt decide which tour to do so we did the South and North on separate days and what an amazing idea that was, we got to explore different places in Kyoto. Unforgettable. A good start
While this company seems relatively new, they provided us with a positive experience on our South Tour. They were unable to provide ebikes, but they did refer us to a nearby shop that rents them. During the tour our guide Remy was personable and friendly, though at times he seemed to go a bit ahead expecting everyone to catch up. He was skilled in guiding us through a busy area around Fushimi Inari Shrine. The most shocking part of riding a bike in Japan is how much trust people have in each other. Bikes are regularly left unsupervised without a lock. The only thing they seem to fear is the bike being impounded if parked illegally. The tour consisted of three major stops - Fushimi Inari, another temple, and Gion. While the tour did not reach the level of excellent bike tours we've done in Rome or Sevilla, it was very good and is sure to get better.

The best way to see Japan

Kyoto bike tour
Top guided tour. Our guide Remi is a very good host. He gave us very much information about the places we visited. Esspecially the non- touristic places were very nice like a Special coffee bar, a shop for typical Japanese spices.
Fantastische dag!
Gisteren een halve dag toer gedaan door Kyoto met Shaune uit Australië. We hebben de zuid route gedaan. Fietsen is altijd een leuke manier om veel van een stad te zien in een korte tijd. Shaune vertelde veel over de stad, de tempels en over het leven in Japan in het algemeen. Het tempo was goed en gezien de hitte hadden we genoeg stops om te drinken. Goede fietsen!! Zeker doen! North Tour - Outstanding! Book Now!
I booked this tour a long time ago on the strength of reviews, we were not disappointed! Jamie was our guide - brilliant! He's not Japanese (although long time based in Japan) this meant he was able to give an insight into Japanese culture which was incredible. We learnt so much & really enjoyed the tour around the city.
South side of Kyoto cycle tour
Thierry was a fabulous and informative guide, offering insights into some of the major Kyoto sights as well as less explored places. He is a gifted and relaxed teacher and made the tour fascinating for all us, including a novel way to learn some basic Japanese.. thanks..!

Outstanding cycle tour!
My family and me (3 of us) took the full course tour on 9 June 2018. Remy was our guide. Remy gave the group (there were altogether 8 of us) loads of good information at each stop on the tour. His depth of information was superb. He also made sure that we were safe at all times. We covered many locations and were given ample time to take photos. If we had more time, we would definitely schedule another tour with the company.

Excellent and friendly
Peter showed my friend and I around the south course. We were lucky enough to be the only guests for the day, so it was just three of us. It took about 3 or 4 hours for us to visit the shrines and temples along the way, and we had a great time. Peter was knowledgeable about the area and had lots to say for most questions. Highlight was passing the first building of the Nintendo Co. What a treat. Would thoroughly recommend.
North course Cycle Kyoto
Don't hesitate to do this tour! Our guide Ray was so knowledgeable and lovely. He went above and beyond. We really appreciated all the little extras like the stop off at sweet shop in a very local area, taking lots of photos so we could relax - and taking time to laugh, chat and teach us some Japanese along the way. We met some other guides and they are all very chilled nice people. Loved this tour!

Fantastic Cycle tour
Myself and my wife love doing cycling tours of cities as you can see so much while also being active. While the scenery is often a given the strength of the tour normally sits with the level of guide you're allocated. Sam took us out on the South city tour and he did an amazing job. Extremely informative, showcasing certain things you'd never see ordinarily. In addition to that he was extremely accommodating for everyone on the tour regardless of their experience or interest. Super personable, so much so that I think the entire tour bonded. Thanks again Sam!
Biking Tokyo
The Temples, Geishas and lunch were my absolute favorites. Kevin was so knowledgeable about any questions we had. He was so upbeat and kind hearted. Riding around the river was lovely and to see everyday activities of the locals was quite interesting. All of our needs were met and Kevin kept us very safe in some rather tricky situations. I am 62 and have some health issues. But with his encouragement all went beautifully and I had one of the best times of my life. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone. It's a once in a lifetime experience for me and my precious family !

We booked the full day tour and it was amazing. We did get to see a lot of landmarks while cycling and making a few stops on the way but also our guide Kevin gave us a really inner view of japanese culture from his long experience. Food stop was really good too.
Fun & informative tour!
Visiting Kyoto solo, I took the half-day, north tour with Kevin and 7 other tourists. The ride was not too strenuous, and the sights were awesome. Kevin was super knowledgeable on all things Japan, and he treated us to fun snacks and surprises along the way. I highly recommend fitting one of these tours into your itinerary!

Had a great ride with Jamie! He speaks English which I learned is hard to come by around here! He explained so many things and I got to ask him all the questions I had been wondering since I arrived in Japan. Take the tour your first or second day and then if you want to stay longer at a spot you can go back!
Beste BikeTour überhaupt!
Wir hatten uns für die 10 Uhr South Course entschieden und hatten eine wunderbare Zeit. Kevin hat uns mit reichlich Informationen versorgt, uns genügend Raum für Fragen gegeben und zudem ausreichend Möglichkeiten, um Fotos zu knipsen oder auch einfach mal nur die Landschaft zu genießen. Mit Kevin als Guide haben wir sehr viel über die Stadt, das Land an sich, die Kultur und die Menschen erfahren und einige tolle Restauranttipps erhalten. Die Tour ist selbst für Menschen mit wenig / geringer Kondition geeignet und kann ich von ganzen Herzen jedem empfehlen, der sich auf einem Mountainbike wohl fühlt.

Kevin helped us organise our holiday: he was a real pleasure to be with and he took us to places we would never otherwise see including a fantastic hidden restaurant. We had a brilliant time.
Brilliant way to explore kyoto
What a brilliant way to explore this city - and Thierry was the perfect guide to explore it with. We took the north circuit, and Thierry imparted great insights into Japanese culture and customs. He was incredibly patient and took pride in answering our many questions about the country and city. He's lived here for nearly 20 years, so could really provide insight. The tour was well paced. Not too taxing, and equally not too slow, with plenty of breaks too. The group was fun, and I'd really recommend this company and guide.
South Tour with Tiery
We booked the private tour as i was worried about not being able to keep up if we were to go in a group... good call as I had to cut the tour short because i was unable to go on... Tiery was very patient and concerned and even suggested we take a train to visit the last stop so that we won't miss out on the beauty of the place. He was knowledgeable about the history of the area and taught us how to count to 1000 in Japanese. Overall, it was a fun ride and me and my family had loads of fun!.

Jaime provided an interesting cultural insight into Japanese life which was full of real anecdotes and often very amusing. The time passed quickly and the whole day cycle tour was memorable.

A great way to see Kyoto
I booked the full course tour, but unfortunately nobody else did, so I was offered a place on the Northern tour and help to visit the sights I would miss. A friendly, relaxed and informative tour with Remy. Recommended!
Great Kyoto Biket Tour
We took the tour 25 of june. Family of 5 with 3 teenagers. Sam was a great Tour guide. He made sure we were safe. The tour was fantastic, Sam was very nice and he answered the 20, 000 questions my family had about the religions, the shrines, temples etc. We had a great time and we learned a lot about Japan culture. By coincidence we reserved 3 days later a cooking class in osaka with sam wife at eat osaka, great class!!

Had a great cycling trip, seen a lot of places and since it was (really) hot we got free water and ice creams
Tour pela cidade
O passeio conta com passagem por diversos pontos turísticos, a rota é interessante. Mas o guia segue na frente muito rapidamente, atravessando os faróis e pedalando sem se preocupar muito se o resto do grupo está acompanhando o passeio ou se alguém ficou para trás (seja porque caiu ou simplesmente fechou o semáforo e a pessoa ficou aguardando). Apenas quando alguém o notifica que está faltando gente, ele pára, deixa o grupo aguardando e volta o caminho sozinho para buscar. Almoçamos um obentô em um parque legal, o clima estava muito agradável! Vale pena, mas é preciso ter agilidade o suficiente para acompanhar o grupo e torcer para ter pouca gente (quando for relativamente grande, não tem como passar todos juntos em todas as ruas). O nosso grupo tinha 8 pessoas, e já ficava complicado seguir!
Cycle Kyoto Tour
Great cycling tour enjoyed very much by ourselves and our teenagers. Kevin very relaxed and informative. Particularly busy time of year to visit shrines, but Kevin negotiated the crowds with ease. Great ramen lunch. Highly recommend.
Premier jour parfait
Pour notre premier jour à Kyoto nous avions voulu faire un tour complet en vélo afin de découvrir la ville d'une manière différente. Nous n'avons vraiment pas été déçu ! Notre guide (Jaime) était vraiment super sympa et nous avons passé une journée entière à apprendre et à découvrir des choses sur cette magnifique ville. N'hésitez pas une seconde !
Best Tour
We had such an excellent time on this tour with Jamie. He has so much interesting local knowledge and was a pleasure to be around. The tour was more than we had hoped for and the food was excellent.

Recommend
Did the full day tour. It lasted about 7 hours, but we go to see the city from west to east and visit some of the important temples and city sights. It is not tiring (but your knees may hurt a bit the next day) and the beer at the end of the tour freshens you up. At first you are little scared going through the city streets, but then the route changes to more side streets. Our tour guide was excellent, but at times failed to make sure that the pack was together. I recommend it.
Fantastic tour!
This trip is absolutely fantastic way to see the city! Our guide Thierry was wonderful and so knowledgable - he gave a great background to the temples we visited and even taught us some Japanese!! The cycling is fairly flat and easy. I would highly, highly recommend this!
Highlight of Kyoto Trip
Highly recommend this tour! It is the best way to see the entire city - includes most of the popular sites as well as some hidden gems. Recommend doing this early on to get acquainted with the city. Also, really cool to see some back roads / less touristic areas as you ride along throughout the day. Tiery our guide helped make it really amazing - Funny, charismatic, intelligent. Helped us learn a great deal not only about the sites we visited, but also the country in general. His ability to connect and to teach through memorable stories (ie learning to count in Japanese... itchy knee) enabled us to come away with a wealth of knowledge. Much appreciated! 10 / 10 cannot recommend this enough!
Super Tour mit vielen Highlights
Wir haben gestern mit Remi die Südtour gemacht. Alles war perfekt. Viel über Japan und die Kultur gelernt. Wir hatten viel Spaß und eine tollen Vormittag. best part of kyoto
best way to see the locals of a city. highly recommend. me and my friends did a lot in japan but i wanted to do this for myself and it was the best decision. the guides are super friendly and honestly had such a good time soaking in what the city had to offer.

Full course
Onze groep van 6 personen werd die dag begeleid door Jamie. We kregen enorm veel informatie mee en werden op een boeiende wijze van het ene punt naar het andere gereden. Door kleine straatjes, over voetpaden, door park en bos.... Fijne manier om Kyoto op korte tijd te leren kennen. Tussendoor werd voldoende water voorzien, kregen wij een lekker gebak aangeboden en een menu in een lokaal restaurant. Alles was in orde en het enthousiasme van Jamie en zijn kennis van de taal was TOP. Zeker een aanrader en meer dan zijn geld waard.
Great day out!
Thierry was a charming and knowledgeable guide on our south tour ride - the weather was a little grey but he extended the tour out to 6 hours allowing us plenty of time to see the sights of the old city. Highly recommended!
Catch it in the morning
It's a great place to see but it does get busy so try to see it in the morning as they usually do the offering early in the morning and there are less tourists.
Cycling in Kyoto
We really enjoyed the amazing tour, guided by Jamie. He's such an energetic, life-enjoying man, with a lot of knowledge about Japanese culture. As a former 'immigrant' he knows very well the difference between western and japanese customs. We loved the lunch in a typical non-touristic little restaurant. Great experience!
A full day tour of some of Kyotos highlights
Our small group of five led by Thierry... a great fellow who has lived in Japan for many years, toured some of the highlights. We found cycling a fantastic way to get around. Thierry was a wealth of information on lots of other information about Japan. Yes he did teach us to count to 99 but all I remember is itchy knees sky na na.. All in all a great day!

Kyoto cycle
My daughter and I really enjoyed our cycling with Tiery. I booked the whole day experience but unfortunately rain meant that we finished early after lunch. Despite this we covered a lot of ground, Tiery was incredibly informative and took us to a great little local restaurant for lunch. I would highly recommend this tour

Op een van onze eerste dagen in Kyoto hebben we de Noord Tour gedaan met gids Thierry. Leuke tour, veel gezien en gehoord onder de goede en enthousiaste begeleiding van Thierry. Thierry vertelde ook veel uit eigen ervaring over cultuur en leven in Japan, heel interessant. Echt een leuke manier om in een paar uur veel te zien en te leren over Kyoto en Japan - een aanrader!
Experiencia completa
Nuestro guia Kevin nos llevo por el circuito del norte durante unas 6 horas. En realidad el circuito esta diseñado para 4, 5hr. nos alargamos un poco mas en el almuerzo. La reserva la hice un par de dias antes por su web. Es facil y sin problemas. Se paga por adelantado. Un dia antes recibes un mensaje confirmando el circuito dependiendo de la previsión meteorologica. E punto de encuentro esta a 4minutos de la estacion Kyoto desde la puerta del sur. Eramos un grupo de 8. Las bicis estan en buenas condiciones. Suministran cascos, ponchos y agua. Se realizan numerosas paradas en sitios obligados como pabellon dorado y otros para explicar pequeñas cosas de la historia de kyoto y sus costumbres (por ejemplo la escuela de Maikos, una universidad o un mercado). Incluida el almuerzo en un lugar genuino alejado de grupos de turistas. a nivel de ejercicio fisico no se da uno cuenta de los km por la diversidad de los sitios y lo plano del recorrido. Kevin es un apasionado de japon con lo que la inversion esta mas que asegurada.

Fun Trip
Jamie was our host for the day and took us to some well selected sites which were accompanied by excellent information Cycling was easy and Jamie presented an entertaining learning experience on acquiring the Japanese language Even with a crook knee I was able to handle the experience easley also included some walking Definitely worth killing a day if you have the time
Invigorating, efficient way to see the city!
It had never occurred to me to book or even look for a cycle tour of a city before, but now it will be one of the first things I look for from now on! It was fun, informative, so much more invigorating than sitting on a tour bus, we covered a lot of ground, and we really got to get to know the people in our group. My group included people from Canada, Australia, and the UK, along with myself, the sole American. :) Everyone was lovely!
Superbe journée
Nous avions choisi le «North Tour» et avons passé une superbe journée en compagnie de Remi, guide français qui vit au Japon. Merci pour cette belle balade et de nous avoir fait partager ta passion et tes connaissances sur ce très beau pays... nous avons appris beaucoup de choses et vu e beaux endroits... merci aussi du temps que tu nous a consacré. Nous sommes quand même partis à 10 h et revenus à 17 h.. ça restera un souvenir inoubliable et merci pour Osaka également... la prochaine fois on te gardera avec nous pendant 2 jours au moins 😁😁..

We had a lot of fun on this tour. Tiery has good knowledge of Japan and its culture. The cycling was not too demanding and heaps of fun.
Great way to see the city
This was a lot of fun and you get to see a lot of great sites quickly. Sam, our guide, was really friendly and informative. I had a hard time finding the starting point for the tour and Sam went above and beyond to find me before the tour started. I was not disappointed and I can't imagine you will be either.

Tour sud puis nord avec Thierry
Nous (6 amis) avons fait d abord le tour sud avec Thierry puis le tour nord le lendemain aussi. Thierry, français vivant depuis 18 ans au Japon, nous a accompagné avec sa bonne humeur et ses explications sur le mode de vie, la religion, l histoire.. il nous a même appris un peu de japonais. Fomos em um grupo de 10 pessoas fazer esse tour, fizemos a rota Sul, uns 15 quilômetros e 4 horas de passeio!!! Visitamos alguns templos bonitos!!! Interessante!!!
You'll remember this cycling tour
We decided to go for full day tour and our guide was Jamie. We learned a lot about Japanese culture and history from him. More than we learned in past 5 days in Japan. The knowledge the guide can share makes the difference in a good cycling tour otherwise you can cycle and see the spots yourself with google maps too. I would definitely recommend to take a tour with Jamie @cyclekyoto and probably better to take the full day tour so you learn more. It can get challenging physically but you'll be fine if you are moderately fit. I still remember how to count till ten in Japanese that we learned during the tour. :)
