Cool stuff
If you would like a pair of earrings or necklace or other metal trinkets to commemorate your trip stop here. The staff aren't too friendly though.
Gorgeous pewter, worth a stop
If you want to bring something back from Nova Scotia for you or others, this is one of my recommended stops. They have a range of jewelry, trinket dishes, ornaments, among other designs -- and all of it is beautifully made. We walked away with several ornaments including that of dear Rudolph. We also purchased a piece of jewelry. If you catch it at the right moment, you may be able to view the jewelry making process. Sales clerks are nice and will walk through the inspiration of designs or explanations of their collections.
Nice Art Work
Stopped in here for a few minutes. Staff welcoming, facilities very well located downtown Peggys Cove. Its worth stopping by inside and having a look, might be something you want to buy!
Great demo on making pewter !
A lovely lady gave us a great demo / explanation of how the pewter good were made - melting it down and pouring it into moulds. There's a lot of variety in the types of products they sell - so many beautiful things it was hard to choose! I walked away with a necklace and bracelet for myself, and a brooch as a present for a family member. All very nice quality and fairly priced.
Interesting Jewelry and Keepsakes
These stores can be found throughout Nova Scotia. They feature jewelry and keepsakes made of pewter. Interesting novelty but pretty expensive.
Small shop in Peggy's Cove
All the items are local made pewter. Lot's of jewelry. Prices aren't cheap but the items look like good quality. The staff is very friendly.
Excellent customer service!
I bought two beautiful necklaces as gifts for my sisters (maple leaf pendants). The chain that came with one snapped after a week, so I emailed Amos Pewter about replacement. We live in ontario and there were no nearby locations for me to go to, but the company has a guarantee on their products. Within a week they mailed me, not one but two replacement chains of different sizes and a handwritten note. This company has shown excellent customer service and has wonderful products for everyone to enjoy!

I stopped in this shop on my visit to Peggy's Cove. I did buy a few pieces. Nice local crafts of pewter to have a memory of my trip
Treasure Trove
I had never heard of Amos Pewter and discovered later on that it has a chain of stores (we visited one at the waterfront in Halifax later the same day). I thought the pieces were delightful and there is something for everyone. We used our credit card, got a fantastic conversion rate from Canadian to US dollars and were very happy with our purchase. The staff was very nice, patient and friendly!
What a Treat!
As if Peggy's Cove wasn't the most fabulous and authentic lobster / fishing village.. a gem... Amos Pewter was a treat for finding gifts that were authentic and beautifully crafted> Pewter from Canada at its best!

Treasures at Peggy's Cove
I was looking for gifts for friends back in Oz, and for myself ;-) and found so many things in this shop. Other Amos Pewter gifts had been found in small displays in numerous other towns in NS, but this was like discovering Santa's workshop! I bought an exquisite choker featuring shells she had gathered as a child for my now adult daughter (she loves it), and several figures (a mouse and a heron) for my miniature animals collection amongst other things. There are items to suit women, men and children.
Lovely
I saw a flyer on Amos Pewter the minute We drove into Nova Scotia and couldn't wait to get there. I felt they had the best pewter in the area. Their designs used to depict shells, starfish and sea urchins etc were very well done!! I fell in love with their sea urchin boxes and bought 2, a nice treasure to remember Nova Scotia by!!
Love pewter
I love this store, they have so many different things here. Jewelry, ornaments, household accessories, etc. My favourite thing though is their Christmas ornaments. They have a new one for their collection every year. It's nice to collect and look forward to a new ornament every year.
Pewter
What made this place very interesting was the live demonstration. We learned the craftsmanship that goes into a pewter ornament. There was a good variety of stock and was the place to go to see pewter.
Great store
The " mother-ship " is in Mahone Bay with pewter demos but this offers things that store does not have. Many more lighthouse themed items. Reasonably priced and good selection.
Fun, unique pieces
Bought some great gifts here and learned more about Pewter making. Very interesting and a fun stop on our trip. Will definitely be ordering more gifts from them online in the future and will make this a stop on our next trip to Nova Scotia.
Unique items but they sell at many Nova Scotia locations
We enjoyed looking at all the wonderful pieces created and sold here at this Peggy's Cove store. The prices seem fair but we didn't find any 'must have' items. We noticed that Amos Pewter is sold at numerous locations in Nova Scotia so if you miss this location you will still have plenty of chances to see their items. Worth a stop.

Beautiful Pewter Jewelry
We watched pewter ornaments being fabricated as we shopped for ornaments and gifts. One member of our group purchased a gorgeous pewter and jewel necklace. A perfect stop in beautiful Peggy's Cove!

We saw a few locations of Amos Pewter. We did purchase some lovely pieces for a friend's upcoming wedding.
Stunning
I liked this store because not only did they sell their goods they show you how they are made. It had history pieces. Also they did everything right in the shop from making, to packaging. Great store.

My mom bought a picture frame for my sister here. They had some really great maritime designs. They also ship allover the world!
beautiful work
We skipped the Mahone Bay store but made sure we visited the Peggy's Cove location. If you are looking for a small souvenir of your trip or gifts to take home, here's a good place to spend money. They produce an annual Christmas ornament and make earrings and other things of iconic Nova Scotia things -- seafood, animals, lighthouses, etc. We bought an ornament and a pair of turtle earrings -- total spent $50.
Great products--Poor service
The products offered are great, but service at the Halifax store was lacking. The first time we stopped in several clerks were busy checking in new merchandise and the clerk on the sales floor was simply lost and did not know the merchandise at all, I actually felt sorry for her. We left and came back again, this time a more experienced clerk at least took the time to check their website for the item I was looking for, but again service overall was lacking.
Beautiful Gifts for yourself and others
Amos Pewter is pretty much synonymous with quality. I have been to their shop in Halifax a few times. They have beautiful products. The staff has always been so thoughtful and patient. This is a fun stop while visiting Peggy's Cove. If you can possibly go when it is not high tourist season, you'll enjoy it even more!

We always stop to buy some Pewter and to watch them make it before you is part of the experience. The Pewter is of high quality and makes a great Christmas gift.

Amazing items, offer a lifetime warranty and are well prices. Can tell the craftsmanship that goes into each piece. If you go to the main location can see them make the pieces in the back.
Amazing
We stumbled upon their shop on a rainy, cold day and were pleasantly surprised. The items were beautiful, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the prices were very reasonable. We got a demonstration of how they cast the pewter, and the staff was very willing to answer all of our questions. I've just returned home to Massachusetts, USA, and have already ordered things from their website!
