Bad People Here
My sister who is severely handicapped drove out to see us in SF bay for the holidays from Colorado. Driving back, we got her a reservation here, but when she arrived, bent over on a walker and exhausted from 10 hours of driving and having difficulties articulating because of her tracheotomy and brain damage, they refused to let her in. They told her she didn't have a reservation and shut the door on her. It was a Saturday night and no other hotel in the area had rooms. She pleaded with them but the turned off the lights on her. She ended up having to sleep (very little) in a cold and dangerous area by the side of the road. The next day, she was exhausted and fell asleep at the wheel. She ended up wrecking her car and nearly dying. Please, do not patronize people who would do this. I also understand they have turned away others because of various other prejudices.
NIGHTMARE HOTEL
DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE! We did, and it became the trip from hell. I booked a room for my elderly, very disabled sister who had driven out to see us for the holidays. She was on the road for 10 hours and physically, mentally and emotionally spent by the time she got there. When she showed up, the woman who came to the door wouldn't let her in, saying she didn't have a reservation and refusing to check her computer. There were no other rooms in the area, and my sister ended up sleeping in her car by the side of the road in a very cold and dangerous area.
Dated, Basic Motel but Very Low Price Point So 3*s Comparing Price to Quality
The motel was very dated and the check in was slow. Then my key didn't work and in the 5 minutes since I left reception it had been locked up. When I got in to my room it was stuffy and smelt slightly funny / musty. It was also very small, but ok for 1. All in all it was ok, given the price point was only just above a hostel bed and it was last minute booking for a change of plan. However I would not necessarily go back.
Don't judge a book by its cover
Stopping point just to spend the night for us. Easy to find. Brings back memories of the small roadside motels from back in the day. Pleasantly surprised. Very clean, comfortable beds, coffee pot, mini fridge, TV, WiFi. Very reasonably priced. Sorry the pics were after we stayed. I forgot to take them as we entered so beds aren't made. The website says two different things about pets... allowed and NOT allowed. To clarify, they are NOT allowed.
A budget motel but there are no surprises
The managers run this place quite well and do everything to accommodate guests including calling me after I wanted to check in 3 hours early and having a room ready for me. I was very happy with that extra service you might only expect from a major hotel. The motel is quite old and fronts the very busy US93. I asked for an end room and I got room 10 which is closest of all the rooms to the highway. Fortunately the a / c window unit is quite loud and with it on high most of that noise is blocked. The bed sits about 15 feet from the nearest highway lane! But I checked out other rooms and I preferred this room for a couple of reasons that perhaps most guests would not consider. Room 10 was recently remodeled but you can still see signs of old light fixtures and window frames / screens. I did not consider this an issue since the price was really inexpensive. The room had tile floors, queen bed, 2 chairs and a table, 2 drawer hutch, flat screen TV on the wall, fridge, microwave, free wifi, old but standard plumbing in the bathroom including the regular tub / shower. No kleenex but the towels were ok and the room was clean. There was conditioning shampoo and two very tiny soap bars. Since I travel occasionally to Kingman and have stayed in a number of different hotels, I will likely stay here again. It is not in town but on a small stretch of US93 that breaks off from I-40 which you have to take in order to go to Las Vegas. It is in the last group of motels before you leave town and all the motels in that group are old and inexpensive.
Basic motel. Nice and comfortable room
This motel is good for a single night, especially when you're on a road trip. We paid $39, 65 including tax. It's pretty basic, but we didn't need anything else than all the facilities offered. The room was clean and the Wi-Fi worked well. There was a parking spot right outside.
Cheap, simple and adequate
We stayed one night on a road trip. The room was basic but clean. We noticed using the microwave overloaded tbe powerboard, but that was minor. The staff were polite and friendly, parking was easy right outside the room. No complaints.
Just your average cheap hotel
Nothing fancy here but a good place to lay your head. Staff friendly room comfortable enough. Only thing is to be weary of is the microwave. Can't run the microwave wirh tv otherwise circuit cuts out. Good place to lay your head for a good price
Very basic
On the edge of this little city, short drive to the center. I think the owner was friendly and everyhting during check-in was very convenient. In our room there was a picture which was about India and I think the owner is from there? I hoped there'd been a picture about Route 66 but... During taking out our baggage from the car a hooker came out from the neighbour door. Despite of that our there was silent and we slept well. The room is very basic and there is a tiny fridge, although a TV is a modern with cable channels. This is a good value for your money if you have to just sleep over night before continuing your driving!
No complaints
I stayed here the night of December 15, 2017, while driving from Reno, Nevada back to my home in Texas. With tax, I paid $39.65. Not a bad price for a clean room, clean sheets, fridge, microwave, and a wide variety of cable TV channels. I would stay there again.
Motel americano
there are better budget places
After 4 weeks of travelling and staying in hotels this has to be a disappointment. The room was clean but had a definite lean. The wifi was great and tv channels offered variety. However the purpose of a room is to sleep. The plastic covering the mattress was noisy, made you sweat profusely and just plain uncomfortable. The rectangle between the sheet and the plastic was not fastened and moved. The pillowcase was so threadbare it wore out during the night. I used one of the small grey coloured towels to give the pillow some height. There were no hand towels. The sweating made the aircon uncomfortable to use... too cold. It was very noisy. The hotel is right on the road and traffic noise was noticed. If you want to sleep look elsewhere.
Meh
Nothing crazy good or bad, this in should be treated as a place for a weary Traveller to rest their head and nothing more. The walls are thin, the soap and shampoo / conditioner are cheap and there is no coffee pot. The rooms also don't have clocks. It's like staying jn a rural motel from. the 80s.
Economy Inn Economy Price
I was on my way to Phoenix AZ from Las Vegas and stayed the night here. It's a mom and pop type hotel that fits your one night stay. It's a small room but your not living there. The nice folks there were pleasant to me. Bed comfortable. People have complained about car noise on busy highway but I turned on room air conditioner and that was a steady sound that took car noise away. I was tired so I don't think the car noise would have kept me awake anyway. It's not the Taj Mahal but if you want to save a few dollars I would recommend it. Had flat screen TV also.
Plenty of Reasons to Return
We were heading toward Las Vegas and this was the last motel on the way out of town, which made for a quick start in the morning. The front desk clerk at check in was very nice, and so was the man who checked us out when we left. Yes, we had to check out (we usually just leave the key in the room) because this hotel requires a $5 cash deposit for the room key. I guess too many of them were walking away. I'm glad we had $5 cash on us! The room key worked really well -- it was one of those that just need to touch the door to work. Upon opening the door, we noticed a weird smell, but after a few minutes we didn't smell it anymore. It was a small room, but it had all the usual amenities: small fridge, microwave, etc. There were no bugs. The room heater worked really well. The room got HOT but the heater was also noisy. The hotel itself was quiet. There were plenty of cars, but we didn't hear anyone during our stay. It was a good choice: cheap and clean.
One night stay
Owner is very accommodating. My dads train was due to come in at 1140pm. Well it was 30 mins late. The owner knew my dad was coming in at this time and to insure he was open to give my dad (who is 78 years old) his room. He called the amtrak station to check on the train. When he found out it was late he stayed up to be able to give my dad his room. Where I am from this would not happen in a small privately owned motel such as this one. My dad said the owner was great. The room was nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable. For the price it was much nicer than he expected it to be. It is nice to know there are still small business owners that know the work customer service as this is what this owner did. My dad said he wishes there were more motels like this one.
Clean hotel but NOISY location
No frills to include no breakfast and no coffee. Even the soap was TINY! But if u need to stop and lay down some where, this may be your place - if you're used to noise! We did NOT sleep as the hotel was on a hill and the walls were so thin you could hear the air brakes on the semi trucks passing by. ALL NIGHT! Needless to say, the bed was fine but sleep eluded us.
Perfect!
Clean and super cozy motel. For this price I would say perfect! The owners are super sweet and very friendly. We only stayed one night, but would definitely go back and we can recommend it to anyone who want a cheap and good motel :-)
Just passin' thru. Good value for basic hotel, friendly staff
It's not even in the centre of Kingman but way 4mi South. The check in assistant was very kind to us, given the fact I checked in late at 12am and woke him up from sleeping. The room is extremely good for what you pay - there is a new TV, bathroom is very well kept, the bed is comfortable. The only downsides are that the hotel is next to a main road (loud), the door was old and did not have a dead lock on it, and other residents played their TV's very loud at night. Only stayed here one night but thought it good value for what it was.
Insomma
Ok for one night
Inexpensive place to spend one night on the road. Nothing fancy, of course, but that's what you expect for $30. Room with very dated decor, but clean and functional. Amenities included refrigerator. Complimentary Wifi. Parking right in front of the door.
Friendly staff
Very nice clean room air conditioner working very nice, carpet is clean small refrigerator microwave, comfortable bed, sheets and blankets clean and staff is very helpful and friendly I would recommend the economy inn motel to all travelers
No more in this motel
The motel was old, the room was dirty and the towels had brown over. The air conditioning was old and very louder. The motel was direct on the street, so you have to let the conditioning go to not hear the street. The district seemed not so safe and we slept with our trolley that blocked the door. The refrigerator was very small and dirty. The bathroom was very very small and the moquette was dirty. Ok, the price was not high, but you can find something else better!
Would never stay again or recommend this place
I stayed there for two nights and when checkout time came my ride was running a bit late and the owners kicked me out at 11 on the dot and forced me to wait outside with all my belongings in the 100 degree weather.
Fuyez!!!
Get What You Pay For
I paid $35 to stay here, and got a $35 room. It was small and the parking lot was tight, but it wasn't a horrible place to stay for the night. The people who own the hotel were very nice. I would stay here again in a pinch. I didn't feel comfortable leaving anything in my car overnight.
I will be returning!
Impressed with the cleanliness of this place! Everything worked including AC and an excellent showerhead. Pillows and beds very comfortable. If you are more concerned about a reasonable price than fancy amenities, then this spotlessly clean place is for you! The housekeeper, Brenda, is amazing and takes great pride in her work! You rock, Brenda! Thank you, Amy from Tempe, AZ
Basic small rooms - low average
Room was very small, older and shows age. Everything worked, good A / C. Clean bathroom. Very minimum amount of ice from office as there is no ice machine. No coffee. They should provide coffee makers in rooms.
OK!
Not a good choice
I only slept for four hours here and left early to travel cross country. I knew the establishment didn't allow pets, so I would let my dogs sleep in the car. The owner walked to my car to write down my plate and started mumbling in foreign accent about the dogs not being allowed. I said I know, the will stay in the car. He kept mumbling. Obviously didn't understand English. This is America buddy, don't get pissy if you can't understand me. The hotel was a joke. But you get what you pay for ($39). I just didn't appreciate the rude owner who doesn't even have the ability to properly communicate with me. I didn't feel safe. The room was extremely small. Stains all over. Cigarette burns on the bed. No dead bolt on the door. I was barely able to sleep the four hours before I needed to just leave the hotel. Did not feel safe enough to shower. I would have felt safer if my dogs were allowed in the room.
great little place with sweet and kind owners
News Years Eve in a -we had booked through Booking.com. Every room in Kingman was sold out, including the Economy Inn. While Booking.com had screwed up and made confirmations when there were none to be made, the owners could not have been more helpful. They gave us water, a restroom and offered us the first room available the next morning at discount!. The room was spotless and warm. We crashed for several hours and were on our way. I would stay there again even if it was not an emergency situation.
