Bad
Well my wife ordered the new french toast with apples and topings. Well it finally came out and I told the waitress that is was not right because it had no crunch topings on it and she said they knew it had something else goes on it but they didn't know what and she went to get it and they had none. It was not even made the was it looked and was terrible. But the thing is the manager did not even come over and say anything. She knew the order was wrong and I ordered blue berry pancakes and no blue berry syrup either. This was a bad way to treat your customers. I can't believe the manager never came over after all that was wrong. I think they need to fire her butt and get someone that wants to be a manager. This was about a hour before closing. This was on a Monday evening. Thanks for not coming over Manager.
Good food but missing items
Picked up food for supper. Cracker Barrel has good comfort food. Unfortunately they forgot the biscuits in our to-go order. Same thing happened earlier in the year. I should of checked my order.
First Cracker Barrel Visit
Visited on Father's Day and the restaurant was very busy. Folks were enjoying the rocking chairs outside in the sun whilst waiting for their table to be called. The food and service were excellent, and it was a real joy. Hot tea made our trip even better.
Great place to eat and feel like family
Cracker Barrel has a wonderful fish meal on Friday's (cod). Our server, Caroline, is our favorite. She makes you feel like a welcomed guest! They have a great menu for any day of the week and serve breakfast all day, too.
Good-bye CB
CB has gone downhill gradually over the past three years. The company's senior management is missing the mark on the causes, which are pretty obvious to many regular customers. Today's meal lacked quality and value. Will be a while--if ever--that we return.
Best Cracker Barrel Meal in a Long Time
This is Cracker Barrel done right. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The manager came around to check on tables and make sure everything was okay. Restrooms were clean. Most importantly, the food was really good. Not just mediocre, but really good.
Thanksgiving dinner not good
My daughter had a take out Thanksgiving dinner there last year and it was good so we tried it again this year. There was about as tablespoon of gravy total and it was not good. On the something else next year.
Great breakfast food and Friday fish
You can't go wrong with Cracker Barrel. Our server, Caroline is awesome! She always makes us feel welcome, keeps our drinks full, and makes sure we don't need anything. Friday fish fry is excellent! It gets crowded so just be patient. Breakfast is a treat with such a large menu selection.
YES, STOP HERE
We hadn't been to Cracker Barrel in a while, but this location hit the spot. We weren't sure if we wanted breakfast or lunch so Jayda helped us out and gave us both menus and then Tiffany helped us navigate what turned out to be terrific suggestions. So, yes, be certain to stop here and ask for Jayda at the desk and for Tiffany as your server. And don't forget the mercantile. We needed hostess gifts, etc, there are tons of items from which to choose and we found a bunch of stuff that fit the bill exactly plus very reasonably priced.
Great service, delicious food
Having a late dinner with a party of 8, and the service was great! Everyone loved their meal: shrimp, chicken, steak, chicken and dumplings. Pleasant atmosphere to top it off! We were all full and satisfied.
Cracker Barrel that gets it right
We visit many Cracker Barrel's in eastern TN, this one beats them all. I always order the same dish whenever I stop in, Lemon Grilled Trout. The chef in this store beats the rest by a mile. Sad part now is when I next visit any Cracker Barrel near my home in Pennington Gap, VA I will likely wish it was a scrumptious as the dish I had in Crossville. Sweet baby carrots and steamed broccoli were also done to perfection. The chef here should teach the others how to do it right. The hostess, waitress, and cashier here are also top notch. Exit 316 on I-40, Got it permanently etched in my brain. Looking for a reason to travel back.
Consistently good food
Love this place when traveling. Always good food and always some to want. Wife loves the catfish. Very fresh. I am more the breakfast guy and eggs were perfectly cooked and the smoked sausage was delicious. Biscuits are very good as well. Service by Ambet was excellent. Friendly and attentive. Fair prices.
Always a great meal
We have visited this particular Cracker Barrel many times when in Crossville and it never fails to be a pleasurable experience. The staff is very friendly and efficient, the food is always hot, generous portions and priced right. You will always enjoy your meal here.
Wonderful staff!
We've gone to this restaurant a few times for breakfast and we will continue to go back! The first thing we noticed was the incredible personalities of the staff. They are always supper busy but keep such a high energy going with a smile. We feel welcome and we'll taken care of. The food is delicious and so reasonably priced!
Clean bathrooms
this stop was a bathroom break and to pick up a few snacks for the road. Staff is so nice at most all Cracker Barrels and this one is not an exception.
Main dish was good but
The main dish was good, I had the chicken fried chicken and had the chicken fried steak. The veggies were overcooked and mushy and the potato sides were just barely warm. They waitress was nice and friendly but the food was disappointing.
Chicken and Dumplings
What has happened to the dumplings at Cracker Barrel? The last few times I have gotten them they are all just stuck together in a clump. Don't plan on ordering them again.
Tasty food
Tasty food and usually seated quickly. Some servers are crabby in the morning. Not heart healthy food but tastes good.
Best yet!
My husband and I travel a lot, and we enjoy eating at Cracker Barrels. This location by far is the BEST we have ever dined at. We have dined at locations in WV, VA, TN, and NC. We were so impressed with the service and quality / flavor of food. We dined at this location on a Suday during what we call Sunday Lunch Crowd! It was busy for sure. We were seated in less than the timeframe given, service was quick! Our waitress was on point with keeping our drinks refilled, ensuring our food was right and tasted good. Servings were good portions and flavor just right. I even noticed the manager doing what's called table touches to chat with guest. Wish we could have gotten the opportunity to speak with him to praise his staff and quality of food. This was an excellent dining experience for us.
The worst one you'll ever eat at
I went here with my family for dinner and ordered hamburger steak with grilled onions. When my food was brought out the waitress said they forgot about the onions and she will get them. My mac n cheese was 3 teaspoons if I overestimate. So 5 minutes later the waitress comes back out and says the kitchen said they didn't have time to make the onions. So I hadn't touched my plate and I'm tired of being ripped off so I sent my plate back. Horrible customer service. Overpriced fake meat. No thank you. There mac n cheese doesn't even taste like other Cracker Barrel's. Horrible management!!
Good breakfast
Stopped for breakfast and it was very busy, it was game day in Knoxville. But Tiffany did a great job taking care of us and the food was quick and good all things considered. But the bathrooms could be cleaned a little better. And they had a smell that was unpleasant.
Kind, welcoming staff made all the difference
Kind, welcoming staff, good food, clean restrooms, fun gift shop. Cracker Barrel is a good roadside stop when road tripping in TN.
Fabulous service
Been looking forward to catching up with McKenzie at Cracker Barrel. She is such a sweetheart and gives world class service. My food was excellent and hit the spot. It's always a good meal when the service is spectacular.
Still wonderful
We are staying in Crossville for the month of May after a long Covid related boycott. We went for dinner and it is still a great restaurant to dine in. The servers are fast to greet you and courteous and the orders are brought out hot and plentiful. The prices are very reasonable. Small parking lot but more in the rear of store. We will return whenever in Crossville.
Phenomenal service by Mckenzie
I travel a lot and will typical stop at Cheddars for a quick meal. Lately the food and service has been mediocre. Yes there are some legitimate challenges today. But McKenzie a five star should have more stars. She was awesome. Promptness and pleasantness were just two wonderful attributes that made my meal excellent. The food was served quickly and was very good. But the beauty of my experience was McKenzie. Thank you
4 servers and nothing
I waited at the table for about 10 minutes. Four servers passed me by. Not one came for my order or drink. I will be spending my money at another restaurant.
Typical Cracker Barrel food
Typical Cracker Barrel food and horrible service. Our waitress seemed bothered by us, got our order wrong, etc.
Satisfied
Somehow you just can't seem to go wrong anywhere with a Cracker Barrel. This location was good but service seemed to be a little off and those extras like butter or something to go on your biscuit weren't offered. But it was still good and definitely worth the stop.
Good Food &Service; horrible Covid Situation
Food, service, pricing all good. Clientele horrible - less than 1% wearing masks ; no social distancing; signs suggest distancing but nothing about masks. We will never be back.
Went to get a gift
The parking lot, front porch, gift shop, and dining room was elbow to elbow. Too many people allowed to gather here; many without precautionary measures for Covid-19. I will not be back to Crossville, TN. Cracker Barrel.
Always good
We travel quite a bit and stop at Cracker Barrel often. In addition to the dependable quality of the food, I also enjoy shopping there.
New Fried Chicken
Ate there last Sunday and ordered the new fried chickne. Did not care for it at all. It was cooked too done and had way too much crust on it. Cracker Barrel surely can fry chicken better than this.
Always a good meal!
i visit this Cracker Barrel whenever I am in town and have never been disappointed with the service. I enjoy the shrimp and LOVE the tea. Our server kept my glass full. (: Friendly staff and great products in the store. I often can even find my size in shirts here!
Cozy with variety
This Cracker Barrel had the fireplace going and had a good selection of merchandise. Dishes were clean and staff was friendly and fast.
Great Late Breakfast
Cracker Barrel is not a gourmet restaurant but you usually know what you are getting. It's never bad and occasionally really good. Today's breakfast was beyond really good. The sausage and country ham here is second to none, with the best eggs I've ever gotten here. This Cracker Barrel is worth the stop.
Cracker Barrel is always good
This one is busy 24 / 7. Lots of parking in the back. The new fried chicken is abundant. I couldn't get my " leftovers " in one box. It took 2.
Warm and Wonderful place to snuggle up around the Fireplace and have a Great Breakfast!!
I Love Cracker Barrel - when you walk in you are always greeted by nice people in the store, the hostess is waiting to get you seated and then you are always greeting prompley by your server. My Favorite Breakfast is the Old Timers - so Good!!! I would highly recommend
Could Have Been Better
Chain restaurants are hard to review, however, this particular one was okay. There are a few things that would have made it better. We were seated at a table that actually put us in the aisle way when we pulled out our chairs. There were plenty of other tables available that would have opened the path for servers. Service was a bit slow but could be attributed to staff being short - who knows. My husband ordered ham with his breakfast, and while the flavor was good, it was rather tough. Our waitress was diligent in checking on us, offering something nice, but then often forgot the addition. I ordered toast rather than biscuits and gravy, and while I did get toast, it came with gravy and grits which I didn't order or want. I was informed that it was standard procedure, and would just be thrown away. Prices seem a bit high but could be held down for the customer if served only what people order. Should there be excess food, rather than gouging customers for things they didn't order, why not donate to shelters. Tax deduction???
Vacation
What can I say about Cracker Barrel? It's always a consistent provider of great food. We have been stopping at Cracker Barrel for years and have always left satisfied! Great Food, Great Value!
OK breakfast at this Cracker Barrel location
I visit this Cracker Barrel location 3 or 4 times per month. The coffee is hot and fresh. The service is good. The food is hearty and filling.
Great comfort food
We visited twice during our week in the area. First visit was dinner and we both had the chicken and dumplings, always a winner. Love the variety of veggies they offer as sides too. Breakfast on the next visit was just about perfect, except our waitress forgot a juice we ordered then went missing for quite a while. Another lady who was refilling our coffee brought the juice. The biscuits at both meals were absolutely outstanding. Just like my mom and aunts would make, which is a very high bar! I'm sure all the Cracker Barrels use the same recipes and ingredients but I don't remember having biscuits this wonderful in other locations. Kudos to the kitchen!
Breakfast Bliss
We ordered eggs, beef patty and hashbrown casserole with all the fixings, and Eggs in a Basket with hashbrown casserole and bacon. Our server advised us that the beef patty is cooked in garlic butter, a new recipe. It was absolutely delicious! The eggs in a basket was two over easy eggs inside two slices of grilled bread. Two tiny pancakes were included and we got plenty of biscuits, which in our opinion, are the best you can get anywhere. Cracker Barrel never disappoints!
Mediocre - normally better than this
The Cracker Barrel brand generally delivers consistently good food and value with a healthy dollop of country service. Didn't really get that today. Son's ham came burnt an very small portion. His side of apples had cold spots. My wife's chicken and dumplings had four small bites of chicken _ everything else was flour and doughy and salty. I can say that my hamburger steak and fries were perfect. Waitress did not return to fill drinks or check in on meal. It wasn't all that busy.
Great Eats, Great Shopping!
I remember the first time I visited a Cracker Barrel, thinking this was the best thing since baked bread! A shop where you eat! Decades later, it's every bit as good, if not better, than that day! I think the shopping side is better every time I visit. Their themed displays are outstanding. The clothes they carry are especially flattering and they carry Plus Size. They always have a clearance corner, where you can find great bargains. Meals are consistent from location to location. Pumpkin Pie Latte is being served now and it is outstanding!
Hurricane evacuation from Florida
This was the first time we ate at this Cracker Barrel. We had a great experience, the food was excellent and the staff provided quality customer service.
NORTH TO ALASKA
After enduring a four hour delay, due to I-40 west being closed due to traffic accident, we stopped at Cracker Barrel for a late lunch. Food was good, service was good and fast, by a very friendly server.
Consistently Good
Stopped here for late dinner so a friend from Italy could try the Southern menu. She liked it (got the sampler) and liked the atmosphere of Cracker Barrel. My catfish was good as always, as was hubby's meatloaf. Food is pretty consistent at them all, but service can vary. Here we had a friendly and pleasant young man.
Tuesday Special!
Was meatloaf and it was good as usual. Being lunchtime it was still easy to get seated and served. It's hard to find a bad CB. Trish our server was spot on when it came to service.
Sunday Lunch
We drove up to Crossville to meet family for Sunday lunch. At 11:30 it took about 10 minutes to be seated. The shop and restaurant do a brisk business on Sunday. We were seated by a friendly hostess who told us about the day's specials. Our waitress, Leia, was excellent. She was friendly, accurate and efficient. The food was well prepared, of correct temperatures and generous in portions. My husband had the meatloaf with 3 sides ($10.49). I enjoyed my beans & greens ($7.39) with an added side ($2.89) of kale salad and fresh cornbread and biscuits. Leia brought apple butter for the biscuits which put a real smile on my father's face. Tea ($2.59) was kept replenished with extra lemons. Though it was a busy Sunday we never felt rushed to vacate our table while we visited with our family. This was Sunday lunch done well.
Lost the game and this was worse@
We should have known that if the parking lot is empty to keep on going. How can a cracker barrel be awful? I'll tell ya. First of all they wanted to sit us by the kitchen, so we asked to move. We did. Took the waitress 20 minutes to show up. The order was wrong. Waited again. The food was ok and bless the waitress' heart. She was new and it showed. But we were remarkably kind. But won't be back.
Popular Place
This place is always busy. The food is consistently good although the mashed potatoes are often lumpy.
Ver Nice
We ate lunch here twice this week and the food was hot and very good and the manager was very visible he was cleaning tables and visiting tables making sure everything was good very nice to see we will be back
Church Trip
Stopped there to eat lunch before going to the Cumberland County Playhouse. We had a group of sixteen. They were able to accommodate all of us. Food and service was good as at most Cracker Barrel Restaurants.
Not as good as it used to be
Been eating here for over 4 years and lately the changes that have been made are taking them in the wrong direction. The food is different, but it's still good, just different. The problem is the portions are smaller, the prices are higher and the menu it a third of the size it used to be. All my favorites are gone! It's a shame such a good restaurant would make these changes. It's really headed down hill.
Breakfast needed
We have been to this Cracker Barrel a couple of times always busy and normally good service not had any problems with the food here.
Never disappointed
My husband and I always love going to cracker barrel, especially on the weekday for their week day special. Today we had chicken and dressing. It was wonderful and their dressing is always so flavorful and moist. I had Mac n cheese as my side which was good and my husband had hash brown casserole which he said was a little more greasy the normal. We came at peak lunch hour which was around 1 and it was very crowded but we only had about a five min wait. Waits are never bad because of their store though. The service was good and attentive despite being very busy.
Love the Cracker Barrel
Dine, play games, shop novelty items. What can be better? My children love the home made food and the service is outstanding!
Sronger coffee please
We went there for breakfast, it was really nice. Hot and tasty biscuits with and assortiment of honey and jam. The eggs were just fine and the best was the bacon. The only issue I have is that there should be an option for a bit of a stronger coffee.
Great food and even Better service
Me and nine of my family members stopped here to have breakfast on our way to visit waterfalls in the area, with a party of ten, we knew we would have to wait, however, they seated us quickly, and then came the fun, our server Karen was fantastic, she was fun, professional and had a great personality, she made our visit special. The food was quick to the table and was very good. Thanks Karen and Cracker Barrel for a great experience...
convenient to 40
conveniently located off i-40 & near hotels & gas stations. predictable hot meal was what we were looking for, so it fit the bill.
GREAT LUNCH SPECIALS
We go once in a while for the lunch specials, the baked chicken and dressing is good as well as the meatloaf. I also like the Chicken pot pie. Servers are always pleasant and price is a deal.
Typical
I find most Cracker Barrels a good experience. This one falls into that category. Good service good food good price. About what you would expect nothing more nothing less.
Nice job when busy - great staff
Firstly, it is an average Cracker Barrel. We went for breakfast the day before the eclipse and it was busy, but the staff was working hard to be sure everyone was seated quickly. There was a mistake with my order and the server took care of it within minutes. When I was paying, I expressed concern over the number of people that would be there " eclipse day ". She told me to call that evening and pre-order my breakfast for the next day. They were well prepared for the influx of people.
breakfast on the road
like all cracker barrels, this is a great breakfast place, just of I40. god service, and excellent coffee
Excellent
Seated and server was with us within minutes. Ordered our food and it was fast, hot and delicious. Very good experience on our way to Pigeon Forge
Excellent service and fresh food
I have gone to this Cracker Barrel several times while traveling. It is one of the BEST! Wait service and food are excellent. Very fast and very attentive. Will always stop in when traveling this direction!
Cracker Barrel
It's a chain restaurant and about the same all over. Good food, great service. Down home cooking. And of course the gift shop. Fun place to visit.
Great anytime food!!
My husband go to a Cracker Barrel very often... For breakfast, lunch or dinner... It never disappoints... Love to shop too!!
Eating USA
Every year we visit this restaurant when we visit family in Tennessee from England. It never fails to please, with excellent varied traditional American menu, with that old world slant, For breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner the Cracker Barrel is so much fun and great value with excellent service. We love browsing in the store also for gifts with a difference.
Same Good Food, Same Low Price
We were on the 5 state yard sale on highway 127 and Crossville is right in the middle of the action. We stopped in for some good old comfort food and we were on our way. They were busy as this is their busy event weekend (5 state yard sale) and their service was up to the busy weekend traffic. Great place.
Always good
Always a good meal here, our server was friendly and quick. the food was great, and we had fun browsing the store.
