We are located on beautiful Salt Spring Island on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada. Salt Spring offers a bountiful choice of outdoor adventure and peaceful relaxing. We offer our guests a warm and inviting accommodation in a casually elegant atmosphere. Our well appointed bedroom offers a queen size bed with 100% luxurious cotton linens. We are an eco friendly establishment and use only green and natural cleaning products. We include: Complimentary breakfast TV / DVD / Cable and wi-fi Ensuite 3 piece modern private bathroom, shower, toilet and sink. Ensuite kitchen with fridge, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle and two burner stove. Double sliding doors to a private deck with an amazing ocean view. Separate and private entrance. Also available is a bedroom with two twin beds. This bedroom has a window with a view on the garden. It has its own private modern 3 piece bathroom in the hallway. And a separate, private sitting room with two sliding doors to a deck area with the amazing view :) This room has a fridge, Nespresso coffee machine and a kettle. Great Place to Relax, Close to Adventure
We had such a wonderful 4-night stay here in the master suite, which hosts an amazing harbor view and convenient kitchenette. Hans and Hedwig are lovely hosts and helped us decide on plenty of great experiences, from beer tasting to kayaking to great food. The location is quiet, relaxing, and the view is absolutely breathtaking. Enjoyed watching hummingbirds visit the feeder on the deck, and seeing bald eagles fly overhead.
Lovely hosts and great breakfasts!
Hedwig and Hans are lovely, gracious and unassuming hosts. They were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay yet also gave us space and privacy. The breakfasts were amazing -- fresh baked muffins, local berries, homemade granola, eggs from their own hens, and espresso coffee with foamed milk. We could never finish the generous portions they served! It happened to be my birthday while we were there and they showed up with a balloon-festooned birthday chair and a special breakfast with candles. They even delivered a bottle of wine later that evening -- how incredibly kind and generous is that! The queen room is immaculate and the deck boasts a spectacular view. We would return in a heartbeat! Our only (minor) issue was that the mattress (memory foam?) tended to get too warm so we slept with the patio doors open all night.
Amazing B & B
We visited Salt Spring Island on the BC day long weekend and stayed at this amazing B & B for 3 nights. It's located only 5 mins away from Ganges, but situated in a very quiet residential area. The view is far beyond amazing. I watched sun rise on my own deck 2 days in the row. Breakfast was delicious and plenty. They even made a cute happy face on the pancake for my one year old daughter. I'm sad to see them about to sell the place and wish the family all the best.
AMAZING PLACE TO RELAX AFTER EXPLORING SALT SPRING ISLAND
This B & B is truly amazing, from view to accommodation to their breakfasts. The hosts, Hans and Hedwig, were very friendly, helpful and accommodating too. Their breakfast offerings were different during the two days that we were there, it was nicely plated, freshly baked goods, fresh fruit, home made granola and yogurt. The only regret we have is that they are selling their wonderful B & B soon, we won't have the opportunity to stay there anymore, unless new owners continue with the business. The drive up the property is steep - that's why it has amazing views :)
Fantastic B and B !
A friend and I just returned from a 2 nite stay in the twin room at Amazing View. Hedwig and Hans, the owners, were wonderful and made us feel completely at home and very comfortable. They are very accommodating and gracious as well as helpful with details of the area and make a great effort to use green products in the home. Our room which was more like a little apartment was spotless, well thought out with attention to small details. Comfortable beds, fantastic bath and separate living / dining area with a fabulous deck and view which overlooks Ganges Harbour and is only a 5 minute drive up the hill. It was so nice to be close to town yet in a private and very quiet setting. The breakfasts were so good, home made with fresh whole ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it. The Queen suite would be perfect for a couple. Has its own kitchen and bath and is beautifully decorated. The stay here really added to our days on Salt Spring!! Thank you so much Hedwig and Hans!
After reading the " amazing " reviews I was disappointed
We had the twin room with a deck and an amazing view. The beds were very comfortable - I didn't like the tiny window which was ceiling height - it made the room dark. A lovely modern bathroom was next door. The L / R down the hall had a table, two chairs and a sofa and there was an ante-room off the L / R with dishes. What I didn't like was taking the kettle down the hall to fill and plug in in the bathroom to boil to make tea, then coming back down the hall to the L / R. Breakfast was served in " our " L / R. One of the reasons I love staying in B & B's is having breakfast in the D / R with other other guests. Most of the previous reviewers appear to have stayed in the Queen room which apparently had a kitchenette hence my disappointment. The hosts were both lovely.

サタデーマーケットをゆっくり楽しみたいと思い、金曜夜に１泊しました。 チェックインすると、部屋からの眺めが想像以上に素晴らしく、言葉を失いました。高台にあり、静かですぐに寛げました。 チャックイン直後はオーナーさんがお出かけ中でしたが、娘さんが設備等の説明を丁寧にしてくださいました。気さくで明るく、何でも相談にのってくださいました。 お部屋の広さも申し分なく、シャワールーム、キッチン等もピカピカで何日間か滞在するのもおススメです。 スタイリッシュで、無駄な物がなく、オーナーさんのセンスが光っています。 ディナーは外食をする予定でしたが、居心地の良さのあまり、テイクアウトして、部屋でいただきました。ワイングラスや食器類も完備されていたので、快適にディナーを楽しめました。 あと、ちょっとしたことですが、キッチンにエスプレッソマシンが置いてあったのが嬉しかったです。滞在中、何杯かいただきました。 翌朝は、オーナーさんお手製の朝食を部屋のバルコニーで。新鮮な卵で作ったとういうオムレツやマフィン、どれも美味しかったです。 早めにチェックアウトしてサタデーマーケットに行く予定をしていましたが、マーケットそっちのけで、チェックアウトを遅らせ、こちらでの滞在を満喫しました。 できることならもう１泊したかったです。 是非、また泊まってみたい素敵なB＆Bです！
Beautiful and peaceful
This is a great spot, with a truly amazing very high view. Hans and Hedwig (originally from Holland) have two immaculately clean and comfortable rooms. We had the one with the queen bed, and it was lovely. Hedwig's breakfasts were excellent -- On our last day, we had eggs she had just gathered that morning from her chickens that are in an almost hidden coup near the driveway -- They were delicious, and I had never had that experience. This place will appeal to those who appreciate quiet, privacy, and visual beauty and simplicity, with glass along the entire wall toward the view.
Einfach sitzen und genießen
Das war wirklich ein amazing view und sehr herzliche Gastgeber, bei denen man sich sofort wohl fühlte. Das Frühstück auf der riesigen, überdachten Terrasse war zusammen mit dem Blick auf den Hafen ein Traum. Man hätte stundenlang sitzen bleiben können und den Kolibris zusehen. Hedwig und Hans waren sehr hilfsbereit und konnten viele gute Tipps für Restaurants, Einkäufe und Ausflüge geben.

Currently sitting out on the deck at Amazing View B & B in the sunshine, enjoying the view, we can agree with everything previous guests have written below ~ we feel very comfortable and content here, the hosts are wonderful, the room is lovely and extremely clean and fresh, the breakfasts are delicious, and the location is very central. It's easy to spend a day exploring the north end of the island, and another the south end, while never feeling like it's a long way to get anywhere. During our stay we enjoyed a delicious meal at Calvin's in Ganges and another in Vesuvius at the little restaurant on the water right by the ferry terminal. Looking forward to the Saturday market and the Saltspring Fall Fair tomorrow! Thank you Hedwig and Hans :)

This set a new standard for a B & B. We will compare all others to this one in future. We stayed for 5 nights. The view (hummingbirds coming to the feeders on the deck and eagles in the valley) and food was amazing, as were the hosts. Hedwig gave us extra baking to take with us for the day. We used the kitchenette to prepare our own meals, many nights as we felt it was a shame to waste the beautiful deck and amazing view. Hans and Hedwig knew the best places to eat, and recommended a yoga class for my wife. Hedwig even did the dishes for us when we were out for the day. We told her not to feel she had to do that, but she said we should not have to do dishes on holidays. We were totally spoiled. Our time at the Amazing View B & B was everything we expected and more. We will definitely be back.

What a delightful place to return to at the end of each day bike riding and exploring this peaceful island. No doubt the amazing view does come with an amazing hill but it is well worth it, and Hans or Hedwig very generously just happened to be there at the end of each day to help us up that hill by carrying our heavy bags by car. The breakfasts are to die for!! Fresh eggs, yoghurt, fruit, pancakes and a real George Cluny Nespresso machine - great coffee!! What luxury! Even an equipped kitchen to be able to to DIY dinner. Thank you Hans and Hedwig for a real treat.
We were absolutely FLOORED by the view!
This B & B was an unexpected find! This place should have been called " Best Motha F'in' View in All of British Columbia Bed and Breakfast " (we think Hedwig and Hans were just being humble ". The room was very tastefully decorated with an airy and contemporary feel (think of an IKEA or ScanDesign showroom relocated waaaaaay up on the hill overlooking the village of Ganges) that was very comfortably and relaxing. We were amazed at our delicious and vegan breakfast of fresh fruit, vegetables, and still-warm muffins (served with vegan butter). Our hosts were very friendly and everyone should be thankful that they share their lovely home with out-of-town guests.
Beautiful with wonderful hosts
It's a short drive from the town (we did some walking and not advised!), but view is wonderful, and the place like the entire island is peaceful and relaxing. Contained unit so you can make your owns food, the breakfast was terrific (omelet, fruit, yogurt, fresh juice, toast and fresh jams). I can't say enough about the hosts, they were just wonderful people and sooo considerate, the reason people like us stay at B & Bs instead of hotels. Wonderful sipping wine on the balcony and just enjoying the end of the day. VERY comfortable bed. We found a great TINY sushi place nearby too and brought it up for dinner.
Name of this place is an understatement!
The view is well beyond amazing - I never got tired of seeing it, beginning from 4:45 sunrise to sunset just after 9:00 pm. The harbor is beautiful and the view uninterrupted, given the glass railing of the deck. The house and gardens and trees on the property only add to the sights, and Hedwig brings much of the outdoors inside, with fresh cut flowers in the entrance and in the room. The room itself was immaculate, the bed perfectly cozy, and the breakfast was beyond anything I've had in a B & B. The kitchen area was well appointed, and included a nice selection of teas and a nespresso machine (I've never even seen one of those before!) Hedwig was easy to communicate with, and went out of her way to help connect us with the whale watching tour guide, and wrote extensive emails to help us choose transportation options to and on the island. Hedwig and Hans said they decided to open the B & B in their home because they wanted to share a part of the surroundings and view they see everyday, and that they enjoy hosting people. I'm so grateful they feel this way, and that I got the opportunity to spend 3 nights of my vacation with them. One of the best B & B experiences we've ever had, and the only place I'll stay on my next visit to Salt Spring!
Lovely place
Currently sitting at Amazing View B & B and you really couldn't call it anything else. A bit of a twisty drive up the hills (but once you've done it once, it's fine) to this lovely spot but it's a wonderful house with two separate rooms (one queen, one with twin beds - the one we're in) and a separate entrance, an incredible balcony that gets early morning sun. There are bird feeders on the balcony so you can watch the locals check in - don't miss the hummingbirds zipping by you as you peer down over an incredible view of Ganges and the harbour. Hans and Hedwig and their family are lovely and welcoming, the breakfast is HUGE (ham, cheese, yogurt, omelette, toast, muffins, fruit!), her espresso is amazing and we enjoyed unwinding here after a day adventuring. The twin room has a separate but private bathroom, and a separate little living / eating room, while the queen has the en suite. It's a great place. Highly recommend.
Fabulous!
We recently stayed here for a few days and absolutely loved it. I was in touch with Hedwig (one of the owners) a few times before we arrived to get suggestions of things to do and she was very helpful. We arrived on Salt Spring by ferry and were greeted by the owner of the car rental place who we dropped off in Ganges and then headed up the hill. When we arrived at the B & B Hedwig and her husband were very welcoming and I was amazed at the room when we walked into it. It was comfortable, modern but homey, with everything we could ask for. And the view, breathtaking! Included in the very reasonable price per night was a massive breakfast (we had to ask for smaller breakfasts as couldn't eat it all) and such a great way to start the day. The deck is lovely and private and there are bird feeders that attract several hummingbirds throughout the day whilst the eagles soar above. I would have loved to stay longer here and definitely will go back.
Die Oase der Ruhe
Vancouver ist eine der schönsten Hafenstädte der Welt und war unser Tor zu British Columbia. Mit dem float plane nach Salt Spring Island war schon ein Traum in sich, dann aber die Insel und diese Unterkunft....! Der Name übertreibt nichts, die Natur in allen Ihren Schattierungen vom Sonnenaufgang bis zum Sonnenuntergang von dieser Lokalität zu geniessen ist einmalig! Hedwig und Hans sind perfekte Gastgeber, die mit persönlicher Note jeden Gast bezüglich seiner persönlichen Wünsche beraten können, eine perfekte Unterkunft stellen und zudem ein herausragendes kanadisches Frühstück servieren. Kein 5-Sterne Hotel, aber ein 6-Sterne B & B in einer einmaligen Landschaft mit wunderbaren Gastgebern. Salt Spring Island ist der Einstieg zu Vancouver Island und zu British Colombia; wer sich die Zeit nimmt, wird diese Reise nie vergessen. Wer sich die Zeit nicht nimmt ist selber Schuld!
One of Our Favourites
The Amazing View Bed and Breakfast is a fantastic place. We originally booked to stay for 4 nights and then added another night because we were having such a wonderful time. Hedwig and Hans were actually on holiday when we were there, but left us in the very friendly and welcoming hands of family friends Margot and Jeannette. Prior to our arrival Hedwig sent us a very generous travel suggestion page and made our rooms extra special for our daughter by leaving a lovely kids chair in our room and after we arrived Margot and Jeannette brought some toys. We felt very welcomed. The breakfasts were generous and delicious, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, the clean air was refreshing, the company was fun and friendly, and the view was amazing. We loved every minute and would definitely visit again.
Wonderful Place to Stay
Hedwig and Hans are wonderful hosts, very welcoming to their lovely home. The bedroom, bath, and kitchen are not only immaculate but also beautifully designed and painted. The attention to detail was appreciated and noted. The food that Hans and Hedwig served for breakfast was absolutely delicious. Also, the view from their outside deck was, as they say, " Amazing ". There are also hummingbird feeders on the deck which attract a continuous flock of hummingbirds, so to be able to look down into Long Harbor, across the waterways to other islands, across the channel to Vancouver and see the mountains beyond.... with hummingbirds.... An incredible stay, cannot wait to go back.

Island retreat in shimmering sea
This was our first time on Salt Spring Island. We are from the Pacific Northwest and found Salt Spring to compare favorably with the best of Whidbey Island and the San Juan's. Salt Spring's primary town is Ganges, located 6-7 miles from the Fulford Harbor Ferry terminal which connects to Sidney, BC. Amazing View B & B is high on a hill overlooking the town of Ganges. The deck is large and comfortably furnished with wooden chairs, table and a sling chair suspended from beams above. From the deck there is a sweeping view to the east. This is a spectacular, view! The town, harbor and small boats are in the foreground. All is surrounded by shimmering sea and island peninsulas. The BC mainland can be glimpsed n the distance. At night, the city lights of Vancouver cast a faint glow behind the coastal range with the small town lights of Ganges in the foreground. During our stay, the nearly full moon created magical scenes on the water below. The accommodations are very comfortable. The unit we stayed in was actually a suite with two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an efficiency kitchen. The beds were new and very comfortable. Ventilation was superb, with french doors to let in the mild, clean air. No flying insects! The decor had a clean cut, modern feel. The color scheme was deep lime green against cool charcoal colored tiles. Very easy on the eyes. The hostess served us breakfast on the deck. Breakfast was fresh fruit, a delicious egg dish, freshly baked muffins, ham and imported cheese. This B & B is a mile or so to Ganges and a nce assortment of very good restaurants. I would certainly stay in this B & B again.
A Piece of Heaven!
We just spent five nights in the Amazing View B & B and found such peace there! The view from the deck was breath-taking, both day and night! I rose every morning at 5:30 am to see the sunrise which greeted me faithfully each day with incredible colors and warmth. Hans and Hedwig made us a scrumptious breakfast each morning which we ate in our robes on the deck. I slept in the master bedroom and had everything I needed, including the small kitchen complete with and expresso machine and electric milk frother! With a private entrance, we felt the freedom to come and go without disturbing the owners. The bed in the master bedroom was quite comfortable! Truly a wonderful place to stay on the mountainside on Salt Spring Island! Thanks, Hans and Hedwig, for a wonderful time!
Amazing View, Amazing B & B
This was our first trip to Saltspring Island BC and we didn't know what to expect. We have had good luck with other B & B's that we have stayed at. This one was referred to us by another local B & B on Saltspring Island. From the view, to the cleanliness, to the hospitality, this was an incredible stay for us. The room was incredibly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfasts were great as well and something that we looked forward to every morning. The little kitchen was an added bonus that made staying in the room that much more comfortable. We will definitely be back!
