Invictus Games
We attended the Invictus Games opening ceremony at BC Place and it was really great. The stadium is easy to navigate and the wayfinding is intuitive and convenient. Our seats were on level 400 but the journey to that level was easy and quick, compared to other stadiums. Our seats were on the top level but views were still amazing… the light coming through the roof was a nice touch, feeling you're outdoors but still protected from the February chill
Taylor Swift concert
We went to go see Taylor Swift and it was amazing! We got good seats on the lower level close to the floor and stage. It did look like all the seats inside the arena are good. Big screens on top and on the sides to see. Security is tight so make sure you bring only clear small bags or they wont let you in. Downtown Vancouver is safe for walking and has lots of restaurants and shops. Everything is in Canadian currency but use your credit card and it will convert it to US currency. Cheaper. Everyone was super nice in Canada. We had an awesome time!
Worst place on earth
Dirty stadium and CC INFORMATION STOLEN. Don't go there. I am not a fan anymore and people are not helpful. I wrote to CEO waiting for resolution.
Disappointing rugby event for 2024
Hello I went for the 5th year in a row to rugby sevens in Vancouver with a group of 12 friends this year was incredibly disappointing, not only the pricing of everything, the whole stadium stinks like dirty shoes and worse it made the experience unpleasant, as well as all the Friday rugby was missed because people work, myself included. Yes I got covid from the event as well.
Very upset
Came in off Beatie st. Sat dec 2- grandsons football- Mobility issues- walked down ramp- On return directed to elevator- staff member guided us as to get off under Costco.-left us totally lost. Severe hip pain this week from excessive walking. Ken@young. bc. ca
Not the worst Stadium Concert Performance
Typical Stadium. Accoustics are not that great but more then suitable for a concert. Enjoying a concert with 50, 000 + people is amazing.
Valeu a visita.
Assaulted and badly injured by security
I went there to see my favourite band, and I was hospitalized by over zealous security guards 2 songs in. They slammed me to the concrete, violently handcuffed me and separated my shoulder. Among other injuries. It's not a safe place to go.
Cool Facility
We went to this venue for the boat show and were quite impressed with the facility, including the great concourse that surrounds the field. This certainly has numerous features that our delapidated McMahon Stadium in Calgary is lacking!
Hub of activity!
When a concert is booked, it is insanity here! It's amazing how many people can fit into this stadium and how loud the sound gets! But it is exciting, too, and just mingling with the excited concert-goers was contagious. " The Weekend " performed while we were visiting. I do believe everyone in Vancouver's downtown area experienced the concert anywhere they were.
Went to concert
I was expecting more of a hockey arena type of feel. This was total opposite. It's not steep like that so you don't feel like you are going to fall down the stairs. :) Feels very open and actually comfortable. Great place for concerts, loved it. Bring $$$$ the food and liquor VERY expensive.
Awe Struck by the Unique Design
I enjoyed the experience of going to a venue with other fans, and feeling awe struck by the unique design of the building with its retractable roof that takes advantage of the natural sunlight during daylight hours, and the refreshing cool night air that circulates through the building at sunset. It is also impressive the way you enter from the middle of the building and are immediately immersed in the venues atmosphere. Of course, it would always be nice if the seats in regular seating were a bit bigger with a bit more space for leg room, but overall the seats were comfortable. I have heard club seats are more comfortable and accomodating. The variation of food being offered was quite reasonable. Someone could come without eating dinner ahead and be very satisfied.
We almost froze to death!
I love this stadium and really want to support it BUT a group of us attended the Rugby 7s over Easter weekend and almost froze to death both days! It was absolutely freezing in the stadium and we all agreed the frigid temperatures took away from the enjoyment of the event. And to top it off, none of the sinks had warm water so we were forced to wash our hands in ice cold water and that just added to the chill. In keeping with Rugby 7 tradition, our group had arranged costumes for each day of the tournament but opted to wear heavy coats and gloves on the second day because it was too damn cold!!!
Best place
Got to play in BC Place for Clearly Contacts as well as watch WCF team. Good clean fields. washrooms are lots around so everyone can have their pick of the place. Turf fields and well kept, they are fluffy! Would come back here again but you would always have to pay. If you get to rent here it's worth it.
Large Sporting venue
This stadium, host the BC Lions Football team. It also hosts the Vancouver White Caps FC. It also host large music concerts, monster trucks, and different shows such as the Vancouver Boat show. This venue also Hosted the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.
2 Great Days
Travelled from Mexico to go to the Vancouver Rugby 7's tournament over 2 days in March. What a great stadium with ambiance to match. Everything was very clean and the organization was excellent.
Great Events Venue
Great place for either soccer (Whitecaps) or football (BC Lions) watching. Special events or concerts are great as well.... when the roof is open it is awesome!!!
A great stadium to watch a football game
I took my 12 year old son to the BC Lions game. We live in Australia and he'd never seen CFL, so it was a great experience since I'm Canadian. What really surprised me was the great atmosphere. The stadium was far from full and the game was lopsided in favour of the Lions, but they kept things upbeat and entertaining all the way through. My son really enjoyed it and so did I.
What a stadium
We went to the gridiron. What a game. Tickets were not expensive and you can buy at the door. (The scalpers even try and sell you tickets while in the line!!) you need your name on the ticket so I would buy real tickets... as someone who only has an idea of the game it was an awesome atmosphere and definitely worth it if you are in town. It is an easy walk from town.
Impressive stadium
We stayed in the Westin and had a fantastic view of the stadium. It is an impressive modern stadium and has a element of added beauty when the lights are on at night. It is the home ground of the Vancouver Whitecaps. It is near a drop off point for the water taxi services.
Impressive
I didn't have the chance to go inside but this is a very impressive stadium from the outside. Would have liked to have seen the whitecaps play.
Impressive stadium
We came to see a Vancouver Whitecaps football game, and enjoyed the stadium. Accessible, with great views of the pitch and a good home supporter atmosphere.
Great fun
We were fortunate enough to catch a game while in town. Good cheap food and beer. Great atmosphere but very very busy and not enough toilets.
Our first CFL game
We went to a pre-season game Lions v Stampeders. What a great venue, well organised, good food and even better beer.... and the Lions scored the winning touchdown in the dying seconds. Would be a regular if we didn't live 5, 000 miles away!
tight seating but great sports / concerts
I have been here many times, I don't like that the seats are so crammed together, not much leg room, so if you are tall or larger, look for seats that have no other seats in front of you. Very expensive place to eat / drink
Lion's Game
I watched the BC Lions football match against the Rough Riders here and was seriously impressed by how modern and aesthetic the stadium was. The atmosphere sadly was dull due to the lack of fans and enthusiasm, but the stadium itself has plenty of potential. The food stands were varied and well priced. The field and facilities were all in good condition.
Great concert experience
We went here to see Mumford and Sons on the last day of our honeymoon and had an amazing time. There were so many staff working that we didn't queue for anything including security before we went in. So much choice for food and the staff were all very friendly. Great seats and the music sounded amazing. The only thing I would recommend to them would be to install some proper water bottle filling facilities as filling a large water bottle a small drinking fountain can be time frustrating and might put people off bringing their own bottle and encourage more sales of single use plastic bottles.
Huge Venue
I went to BC Place a few times, for soccer games, Rugby and concerts. Heads up it can get quite cold inside so if you are like me always bring a sweater! They have several food options, the place is always clean and organized. I only did not have a good time when i bought a cheap ticket for a concert, and i was seating so far away i could not see anything, not worth the saving. Always buy a ticket in advance!!
Food selection vastly improved
Saw the July 27th BC Lions game here (geez... where I can review the BC Lions!?). This venue has really improved its food services and selection since our last visit and the open roof experience was fantastic. We used to make a point of eating before the game but next time we will be sure to arrive hungry.
The elephant in the room
This " monument " to athletics is visible from oh-so (and way too) many places in the city. The bottom line is: this is the stadium that is the venue for the BC Lions and the Vancouver Whitecaps. Enough said. Sports demand their " propers " and, boy oh boy, do they get it in Vancouver! When we were at the park (Livingston) or at the coliseum-shaped library (9th floor garden) or at the many parks dotting the edge of False Creek.. there it was, bigger than Godzilla, as it rampaged through New York City (not that that is a bad thing). It holds 54, 500 seats and brings in revenue by the bucket-loads. It is one of the 3 top Vancouver attractions for tourists to visit. One man's ceiling is another man's floor: I appreciate what this brings in for Vancouver but is still a really honking big Godzilla stalking the city. What do I know? I am only a tourist. Mea culpa.
Nothing special
Okay stadium, but nothing remarkable. Difficult location and parking is an absolute bear. Public transit best if an option.
A great place when the roof is open
A stadium is a stadium it depends on what you are there to see. We just saw McCartney it is odd to see a daylight concert until the sun goes down. Lots of fresh air so dosnt get overly hot in the summer
Ideally situated easy to walk to
We went to see a soccer match here. It was really busy. Lots of activities outside the arena. I was impressed with all the different things to see.
Nice venue
We saw Paul McCartney here in July, 2019. The aisles were wide and the venue was lovely. It was easy to get into and we should have had a meeting point for Uber. Nice venue.
Paul McCartney concert July 6 2019
This is really more of a 'rave slash rant' about tonight's Paul McCartney concert at BC Place as opposed to my opinion about the venue itself. That said, I have to commend the staff at Guest Services of BC Place for their work at the event (a bit more on that later). OK on with the 'rave' session: Sir Paul came onstage relatively on time at 8:15 PM and basically played non-stop for three (3) hours! Pretty impressive for a gent in his 70's. The sound was good (for a football stadium), the lighting and effects pretty cool and the music and performance was, to be expected, totally first rate. All in all a very memorable evening and I am happy to have had a chance to see Paul perform live. Now for the rant: I've been to a number of concerts over the past 18 months and I'm baffled by the fact that a significant number of fellow attendees at these performances insist on talking throughout the concert! Really? You need to yammer on and on about basically mundane stuff? Can't you curtail the conversational drivel for even an hour, sit back and try to appreciate the artist's work? Sure, I'm fine with an occasional comment about a song, some aspect of musical talent or a stage effect, but come on people! I've been to concerts where some in the audience aren't even one bit interested in the music or event. Why even bother spending (in many cases) big dollars for tickets, let alone showing some respect and consideration for others around your seats who just might want to take in the performance and who appreciates live music? In closing on this rant, it's my opinion that obnoxious concert members are even more annoying than those people who are on their cell phones throughout the event; at least these people are usually just taking photos! My last words are a " thank you " to the staff at BC Place for efficiently handling a situation with our seats. It was done quickly in a friendly manner and only added to our family's enjoyment of the concert.
Great stadium
I visited to watch the Whitecaps play Toronto FC. The football was enjoyable but the stadium was great. With its retractable roof, stunning architecture, great range of food and drink and cleanliness throughout, it's a credit to the city. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
Impressive stadium, mediocre football
A very impressive stadium. Wide concourse, easy access, ramp down to lower tier seating, ample area for movement inside, wide food hall and merchandising areas inside, retractable roof, good signing everywhere, good PA system, comfortable seats the only downside was the quality of the football match we saw.
Not a bad seat in the house
Visited to watch a Whitecaps game. Atmosphere was good and we had great seats although it didn't look like there were many bad one! Great range of food and drinks. Stadium this size should have wifi though!
$500M update and its GORGEOUS!!
The province & city spent $500M to update the roof, get a new screen and to almost totally redo everything in this multi use sports, events & music concerts stadium that is easily recognizable in photos of downtown Vancouver. The location is at the foot of Robson, near False Creek and the new Casino was built right next to it (easy access to BC Place from Casino). There are many fantastic photo opps at night as they light up the top area of the stadium with the " Days Celebration " Canada Day will have several Cdn Flag projected on the top section, St Patricks day - green, etc Lots of parking and easy access via transit.
Stunning stadium
We were staying smack bang in-between B. C Place and Rogers Arena, so we were torn on whether to go see the Canucks or the Whitecaps, both at home on the same evening? Madness, but what a great atmosphere. We decided to head to B. C place, magnificent stadium, and the tickets were reasonably priced, but the beer was not, $33 for 2 beers, ouch. Guess it's to stop people having too much adult juice and getting rowdy. The game was a let down, poor quality performance by both the Whitecaps and Sounders, but a great experience.
Great stadium
Our visit to watch the Hsbc rugby games was great here. We loved the venue for its features, closed and less sun came it so didn't disturb our view. Great food options and lovely staff at all the stalls.
Outstanding venue for HSBC Rugby Sevens
We were fortunate enough to attend the HSBC World Series of Rugby at the BC Place Stadium. The event was outstanding and a pleasant mixture of sport and festival. It was like attending the World Cup and Mardi Gras in one weekend.
great place to visit
If you are in vancouver, you have to visit this stadium to watch a white cap's match... It is located in a beautiful area. There are a lot of restaurants around the stadium. It is worth to visit it.
Brilliant Stadium
Went to watch the Rugby Sevens here, what an awesome stadium. Definitely worth catching a game, the stadium hosts the soccer team Vancouver Whitecaps FC and the professional Canadian football team, the BC Lions.
Great venue
Great spot for conventions and events! Highly recommend coming here when an event's here. Great facilities.
Home of the White Caps Soccer Team
... but much more. Many trade shows are held here, right in the main part of the city. Best to approach from Beatty Street if walking. There are good restaurants close by as well as the Stadium Skytrain Station. Parking in downtown is difficult and expensive..
Its ok
I feel that the seats are so small and you art basically touching the person next to you. At a concert it is hard to get up and dance in your seats. That sound is not that amazing there. Not bad, but not good either.
Soccer in Vancouver
My daughter living in Vancouver took us to a Whitecaps soccer game and what a fun night. The atmosphere was amazing with the crowd well versed in their tribal chants at any given time. Very funny. The stadium and staff were well organised and entering and exiting the stadium was easy. Plenty of food and drinks available to purchase. Tickets were approx. $40 CAD.
Fun Time
Had a great time. The stadium has a lot of stairs, be prepared to walk. The staff was very nice. The washrooms were clean. The stadium is pretty at night lite up.
On a hunt for water
Very nice venue but a bit short of water. I found a water fountain but no water filling stations. There may be some around, but with the crowds at the Lions football game, I couldn't locate any. Lots of opportunities to buy beer or wine and the price of a bottle of water was 4.75.
Stadium Shows
Built in 1983, BC Place is the Province's largest multi-purpose venue and has a seating capacity of 54, 500. Following extensive renovations a few years ago, the stadium seems to have renewed life. The retractable roof has been " refreshed " and seating much improved. So, regardless of why you might visit - to check out a Vancouver Whitecaps game, see the BC Lions or check out a live performance - you're sure to have a rockin' good time in spite of the rather high concession prices. Around 2010 or so, I first visited BC Place to check out the annual " PlayDome, " which usually runs from the end of March to the beginning of April each year. I've been back a couple of times since for this same event. Granted, I rarely go on rides and instead indulge in the sweet treats more than anything else (who can say no to mini donuts or sweet, sugary snow cones!?) ; however, it's still pretty neat to see an entire carnival hosted indoors. For me, the whole event is kind of like Playland, less the crazy long lines in summer. More recently I had the privilege to see and experience two stadium shows barely two weeks apart: Metallica's WorldWired Tour on 14 August 2017 and then, on 1 September, the Guns N' Roses concert. Admittedly, I was a little concerned heading into the first show given that, just three months earlier, fans of U2 had to deal with very lengthy lines with many missing the opening act; however, all fears were quickly alleviated. It seems BC Place learned from the fiasco because check-in was a breeze - both times - despite the mass of people. Once inside, merchandise lines were long for both shows (not a surprise), but they were efficiently managed and we were able to get our Metallica and GnR swag without hindrance. From there, finding our seats was easy. That's definitely one major plus to BC Place: It is very well laid out and thus not difficult to navigate. Once the shows started they were nothing short of AWESOME! Both Metallica and GnR, on their respective dates, gave fans concerts to remember. The stage set-ups were spectacular; the sound was on point; and, perhaps most important, both delivered in a big way when executing their major hits and, in the case of GnR, doing memorable covers of songs like Soundgarden's " Black Hole Sun " - a great tribute to that band's late lead singer. In short, the concert experience at BC Place was pretty outstanding. The atmosphere of place and space, combined with the energy of the performers, made two large stadium shows seem kind of intimate. Thumbs up!
Legal
It's OK as far as covered stadiums go
In a place like Vancouver which receives an awful lot of precipitation, having a stadium with the retractable roof is a no-brainer. My wife and my buddy and I spent two days at the stadium watching the Canada sevens rugby. Sightlines were very good. You have to look around but it is possible to find craft beer. The short rib poutine is actually very good. But if you get a chance to go for a big event like the Canada sevens it's a very nice venue and it's gonna keep you dry.
Great Sports Venue -- Be Sure to Take a Tour
Located in heart of Downtown Vancouver for easy access from most hotels. Home of the BC Lions (CFL Football) and Vancouver Whitecaps (MLS Soccer). Had club level seat for a Whitecaps game. Was only slightly higher than regular seat and much cheaper than NFL prices. Had separate entrance and private concessions and bathrooms. Could order drinks and food for delivery right to your seat. Great view of the action. Get there early for " early bird " drink specials! If your schedule permits, take the optional tour of the stadium. Tickets are sold at the BC Sports Hall of Fame on street level. Great behind the scenes look at this amazing sports venue with its unique retractable roof.
Buen tiempo
Great Venue for Soccer
I have been to this stadium a few times including for a couple Women's World Cup matches (USA vs Nigeria and England vs Canada). The stadium itself is very modern and kept pretty clean compared to others. It's very easy to navigate around with clearly marked directions. The retractable roof is a very nice addition and the Jumbotron is probably the largest one I've seen at a stadium yet. Sitting in the lower level you can see all the players clearly, and even in the upper level you're still close enough to easily make out the different players. The only issue with the chairs is proximity. They're tiered up enough that you don't have a problem seeing over the person in front of you, but they're so close together that while sitting down, I'm 6'2 ", my legs were always just a bit scrunched up. It wasn't extremely uncomfortable, especially since about half the game is spent standing up anyway, and this is a problem every stadium faces having to try and pack 50, 000 people into such a small space. They had enough places to buy food and drink, but I think they needed more merchandise stores throughout the stadium because they were packed with easily 100 person lines 20mins after the stadium opened 2hours before game time. Other than that, security got people through the gates very quickly and professionally and exiting was fairly easy as well. So all in all, this is a well designed and well maintained stadium.
Imponente !
Love the roof, hate the concourse
We were here to watch the Canada vs England match and had fabulous seats. While the roof was spectacular, the concourse was like being in a dungeon. Granted, it was wide enough for a packed house, but there is no natural light. Also, it was a warm day in Vancouver and the stadium was similarly warm. With the roof open we expected some fresh air, but it didn't seem like there was much movement of air into the stadium. It was a bit like being indoors, despite the open roof. Not a bad place to see a match, but certainly lacking fresh air. Location is fabulous if you're staying downtown. Lower bowl is right on top of the field; we were in row H in 215 (unlike most stadiums, that's the field level) and the seats were spectacular- we could hear the players yelling at times.
Whitecaps game!
Visited the stadium for Vancouver Whitecaps v Philadelphia Union. Stadium is modern with a great view plenty of leg room and even a drinks holder at your seat! The facilities at the stadium are great plenty of toilets and food outlets. Easy entry and exit.. Great stadium!!
Muito TOP
Fui para um show do monster Jam lá. é muito organizado e muito massa. Estrutura perfeita.
Incredible Stadium!
My family and I attended a BC Lions football game on October, they were playing against the Edmonton Eskimos, and yes they did win that game! It was our first time in the stadium, and we were so impressed with what we saw. I felt that it was well marked and easy to find the section that we given. The staff that we encountered that evening were pleasant and helpful. Even though we didn't have the best section for viewing, I didn't have a problem watching the game. We didn't eat there, so I do not have a comment about pricing or quality. If the prices were a little more affordable for a family of four we would go to more BC Lions games.
Go BC Lions - a great evening of entertainment
We booked some tickets for the BC Lions before we went on holiday. Decided to shell out for the club seating and was glad we did. Had great view of the pitch and a very nice lady to fetch the food and drink for us. When the opposition were attacking the noise inside the stadium was great even with the roof open. The food and the drink were pretty reasonably priced and was tasty and the game moved pretty quickly compared to American Football! And to top it all off the Lions won!
Go Caps!
Vale a visita
interesting
Interesting place to visit it was across the road from where we were staying. close to the city and to Gastown.
Nice Stadium
This stadium is conveniently located in the middle of Vancouver. We were able to park in a parking garage during the day, walk to a few of the city sites and have lunch / coffee, do some shopping and then watch the soccer match in the evening. The stadium is covered and well maintained. We caught the very exciting Whitecaps vs. Houston Dynamos game. The Whitecap fans were enthusiastic and we enjoyed watching them as much as the game! The stadium staff is helpful and courteous when directing everyone to the location of their seats.
Great to watch Football
Watched the Whitecaps Football team play here. Seating is comfortable with no blocked views. The overhead TV monitor is brilliant. We had to hamburgers while there and they were very nice and reasonably priced
Incredible Arena
Saw Roger Water's THE WALL at BC Place Arena - incredible sound, amazing concert, and the host that was in my area was great, really made my experience better (no one standing in front of my view!)
Floyd in 1994
Watched Pink Floyd play here in 1994 and it was the most amazing concert I have ever seen. So I thought I'd review it all these years later. If they still do big show concerts there its a great venue with a great crowd.
Whitecaps vs. Philadelphia
Came for a Whitecaps game. Easy access from public transportation. Sat 4 rows from the field for a fraction of the cost that I've spent for other sporting events. It was a beautiful afternoon with the open roof. Great experience.
No good bc place
I went to an event here and found out it was for profit. first off I find the concession staff very rude. overpriced beer hotdogs and the like. I will never come here again.
IMPRESIONANTE
Bring a umbrella
One of those leaks in the roof that everyone has heard about was right above my seat.
BAD BAD BAD for concerts
The sound for U2 had a HUGE echo. So, it only sounded bad when Bono belted out some of his famous chords, which was almost every song except for Angel or Devil. So for sound alone, you should reconsider attending any concerts of any kind here. If U2 can't make it sound good, what chance do others have? But the venue experience was even worse. Massive line ups for tickets (2+ hours to get in), massive line ups for washrooms and 30 minute line ups for beer. I stood in line for 30 mins for a 12 oz Stella and when I got to the front, they said they didn't have that one there. THE SIGN WAS RIGHT ABOVE THE CASHIERS HEAD!! Beer sales stopped 30 minutes after U2 started. I cannot believe this place has been open for over 30 years and the concert experience is still this poor. I am speechless. I tried to think of something positive and that was that it was clean.
BC Place staffers dropped the ball on U2 concert goers!
Attended the May 12, 2017, " Sold Out " U2 concert. The Greatest Band ever!!! but many concert goers left frustrated and unable to access venue in a timely manner. We arrived at BC Place around 5:30pm. Lines were forming everywhere. Signs were non-extistant and basically it was mass confusion. We spoke with several yellow clad security officers, who were unhelpful and apparently not in charge of directing crowds: (After 30 minutes of walking around aimlessly, we finally located one identifiable BC Place representative who pointed us towards the gates for seat holders rather than general admission floor ticket holders. Thank goodness! Little did we know, that long line ups and slow moving lines were in store. With a sold out show and about 40, 000 concert goers, it was mass frustration and conflict. BC Place staffers... what went wrong??? It was really lucky that things didn't go amiss right there and then! We were some of the lucky ones who made it in for the Mumford and Sons gig. Yes, BC Place is a beautiful arena. Lovely, soft light filtered through the 514 million dollar roof, the vendors have space and there is a wide selection of food and drink for all. PS lots of ladies restrooms! No complaints on the interior of the venue. Once inside, the venue was almost empty at 7:30 when Mumford and Sons started their set. The acoustics were terrible with their instruments and vocals in competition. But the roll out of U2 was superb, with their mega video screen and lights show. By then, everyone was seated or standing and ready for the main act. Tempers calmed and Bono rocked the joint. As they say, the rest is history! Please remember that the issues were not with the talent but with the staffing or lack of staffing for BC Place Arena. Poor signage, a lack of visible, BC Place staff members to organize and move the crowd, slow entry (only 3 gates for seat ticket holders?) which created problems for entering the arena in a timely manner. The troubles experienced will make me reconsider other concerts at this event. BC Place staffers did not shine for U2 concert goers!
Enorme..... Blanco..
Majestuoso edificio Imposible no verlo si vas a Chinatown y Gastown.
Concert Execution was not Ideal to say the least
We had the unfortunate experience of being stuck in the epic long lines at the recent U2 concert. The wait to get in was approx. 2-3 hours, hardly any of the 60, 000 people going got to see the opening act, Mumford and Sons. There were no obvious direction for ticket holders on where to stand, and few staff to ask questions to. We found out that there were designated doors for entry (by chance) depending on where you were sitting or standing, but no obvious information posted on what door we were supposed to use. Literally everyone was walking around in circles or standing in lines for which they had no clue where it ended or if it was the right line to be in. Some were denied entrance for being at the wrong door, after standing in line for 2 hours, to then have to find a new line and stand for another 2 hours. I can't imagine this is the first concert for BC Place, so what was the big hold up? Apparently, it was the new entry system of scanning your credit card that was used to purchase your ticket as entry. Which held up a lot of people, who either didn't have the right card, had bought a scalped ticket, or were missing part of their ticket party (likely stuck in a 4 km line up). Once we finally got inside and away from the people fighting, jumping fences, crying and some just giving up all together, we were presented with another list of endless lines. Not to mention the toilets set up for the General Admission folks were a row of port-a-potties. We all know how gross and disgusting those get pretty quickly. I was really surprised to see this in such a new establishment, were we at an outdoor festival? What the actual @% # $ is going on..... This experience has truly soured me on the facility. I will NOT be going back any time soon. A shame because I few in from across the country to see this band and was looking forward to experience this world class facility, or so I thought.
Go Whitecaps!
Lovely arena, well located and very friendly atmosphere. Went to watch the Whitecaps play whilst on holiday and really enjoyed it. The roof was covered which helped as there was a storm playing out outside the arena. Sadly the 'Caps lost but was a great experience and to see how a football crowd from another country treats a game.
Impressive stadium
Our hotel overlooked the stadium and it was great to go inside when I went to a soccer match. I have been to stadiums in England and France which have been good, but B. C. Stadium is in a different class. It is massive, clean, well designed, lots of places to get food and drink (alcoholic and non alcoholic), a massive screen suspended above the pitch and comfortable seats. The atmosphere was different, but great fun.
Nice stadium
Place Stadium is quite a large stadium, home to the Whitecaps. Great game atmosphere and kept up decently.
Lindo!
Excellent Sporting Venue
Went to the Rugby Sevens for what was an incredible event. Stadium was an excellent venue and seats were great. Long lines for concessions but hopefully they will be better prepared for next years event. Great location in the city.
Whitecaps!
We went to a Whitecaps game for my husband's birthday! It was super easy to get to the stadium on foot and was easy to navigate through the stadium to find our seats! Definitely recommend coming back for another game!
Whitecaps VS Portland
Good game, sold out attendance, fantastic crowd. All lines for F & B were quick and washroom lineups were not an issue. Can't wait to go back.
Awesome venue for HSBC 7s
We were here for the tournament and the venue was excellent. Easy to get in and out of; close to everything. No long lines at the bathrooms or concessions. The only complaint is that you can only get one 24oz beer at a time. : (
HSBC Canadian Sevens Rugby tournament
Wow o wow!!!! Great Facility for family to watch Rugby!!! Endless soda cup for $7 and endless popcorn for $10. Great food from stadium vendors and very pleasant staff!! Many restrooms so lines never got out of control for 39, 000 people! My kids loved it!!!
Whitecaps
If the ability to take in a Whitecaps match is in the cards, this is the place! Absolutely fantastic, especially on a sunny day with an open roof.
i work here
great supervisors and people. the white caps games are pretty awesome to see from a concession stand view
Great atmosphere
Saw on the news the Whitecaps soccer team had got through to the playoffs so went to take a look. What a fantastic stadium and a great atmosphere. The fans are very passionate about their team and we had a great night (they won). Everyone was really friendly and high fiving us when they scored. Plenty of outlets to eat and drink. A great night out!
Exciting
BC Place is a multi purpose stadium located at the north side of False Creek. It is owned and operated by the BC Pavilion Corporation. I watched a exciting soccer match. I recommend.
BC Lions
We watched the BC lions massacre Montreal at a CFL game in July. Coming from the UK we didn't quite know what to expect, particularly as we just turned up on the afternoon of the match. However entry was easy and we we're blown away by the fantastic atmosphere, exciting game and amazing fans. The staff at the stadium couldn't have been more helpful and gave us loads of great advice. A fantastic afternoon of fun.
Fun venue for soccer
I've been to BC Place a few times to watch MLS games. They have a good variety of food, including several options for vegetarians (veggie tacos, Indian curries, rice bowls, etc)
Go view a game
I visited the stadium to watch a game between BC Lions and Montreal Allouettes which was thoroughly entertaining. The stadium itself has excellent facilities and any seats would offer a good view of the game. There are numerous food outlets and shops inside the ground while outside the entertainment before the game was great with stalls giving away everything from non alcoholic beer to t-shirts. Well worth the experience even if like me you are from the UK and know very little about Canadian Football.
Great place to catch a soccer or football game
BC Place has had a new retractable roof installed, allowing the roof to open on sunny days for open air sports. Both Vancouver White Caps soccer team and the BC Lions football team play at this stadium. Vancouver's Olympics in 2010 had opening and closing ceremonies here. you can buy beer, popcorn, burgers, hot dogs, Vij's Indian food and other eats for the stands. And they have a lounge and dining room with an upper view of the stadium too.
Good stadium and facilities
Very nice stadium and awesome how the roof lights up. The roof was not open at this time. Well signed and can find seats easy. Food and drink pricing as expecting for this sort of place / events. A lot of toilets too, didn't have to stand in a queue. Busy when leaving as there were 3 other events in the vicinity on the same night.
BC PLACE
I have to say i was very surprised by the food there. It was actually decent. love how you now have refillable drinks. The seats now have cup holders !!!!! plus love the new roof just wish they opened it more !!
2018 Home & Garden Show
This will be the last year we attend. $16 to enter, $16 to park, $8.50 for a beer, $4.75 for a water. Sure, you can book online a bit cheaper, brown bag some food, or park 3 miles away but whatever. The vendors look generally bored and many complained how quiet it was. Sure we had snow, but the place was a concrete cavern. No one was watching the presentations, and whats worse is the multiple similar booths selling things like cooking pots, to orthodics etc. These shows had a lot more glamor and excitement in the past. Now its a monster money grab. I'm thinking an another few years they will be a thing of the past once more people begin to shop more on line.
Please take the tour
Great place, holds concerts, sports, meetings and yes tours of the marvelous facility. I recommend taking the tour, yes there is walking however worth it.
BC LIONS VS TORONTO ARGONAUTS
Got my free tickets from North Vancouver Nissan thru their Facebook ticket giveaway promo. Experience was surreal as it was my first time. Football isn't my thing but I enjoyed every minute of it. Staff were friendly, unlimited soda and popcorn (^), cool place to spend time while enjoying. Will go back to watch another game.
One of the highlights
On our recent trip to Canada and Alaska, we were fortunate enough to go and see a game with the BC Lions... it was a great experience and one i'll never forget.... so much action, music and of course the game
Ok experience
We went to see U2 on the opening night of their 2017 tour, with Mumford & Sons. The stadium was clean and easy to get to (on foot from our hotel). However, there were problems with people getting in on time and Mumford had to play to a half-full arena while tons of people waited outside to get in. We were lucky enough to make it in on time. The acoustics weren't great. Everything sounded a bit muffled.
