Exceptional Management
When the cottage we booked was unavailable the management switched us to a much larger two bed room cottage at no extra cost. Also they made sure that we were comfortable and helped me locate material that enabled me to fit my electric motor to their aluminum boat. Cottage was very well equipped and clean.
Fantastic Visit
Just returned home to Montreal from a great stay at this resort. A little off the beaten track but only a 5 minute drive into town. Warm lake with free kayaks and canoes. Nice cabins with all you need. Great owner who even came to our cabin to show us how to use the TV system which we had difficulty with using. Highly recommended!
Douglas RV
I and my friend have been to fishing trip and stayed RV because of no cabins available at that time. (summer time in this island is the most busiest.) It was a plenty of space for 2 adults for 2 nights stay. Master bedroom has a 1 queen size bed and the other bedroom has a bunk bed (1 double & single). Inside of the RV was nice and clean. However, there were some issues with this RV which was a faucet handle in a kitchen was broken. Bathroom has a tiny bath tub & shower. I don't want to say " bath tub " because it was measured about 100 cm x 70 cm. And water coming from a shower head was trickled (quite not strong enough). This is not complain because I understood this is RV. But please keep in your mind if you'd like to use RV for staying. The other things was a kitchen. A little bit differences between a photo shown on the HP and a real one. Not gorgeous like that. However, hosts (I forgot their name...) were so nice and friendly. I recommend to stay cottages than RV's.
Awesome stay
An amazing place to stay, the views are to die for. The staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. The cottages are very cosy and clean. There are lots of boats, canoes etc to be used and free of charge. I have 3 kids aged 6 to 11 and they loved staying here.
A Lakeshore getaway
This beautiful resort is one of my favourite places to visit. The views are beautiful, the grounds are extremely well maintained and the cabins are warm and inviting. When you work in a stressful industry....coming to Lakeshore takes all of the stress and pressure away. Curling up on a comfy couch, lighting a fire and reading a good book are some of my favourite things to do and I cannot think of a more special place to do this than Lakeshore on Salt Spring. If you feel like you need a quiet getaway, call Peter and he will set you up with everything you need for a relaxing vacation and you won't be disappointed.
Perfect place to stay on Saltspring Island
Such an awesome place to stay on Saltspring Island. The cabin we stayed in (# 1) was so cute and very clean. We especially loved the fact that we could barbeque our dinner and eat out on the deck with the lovely view. It is in a very quiet spot yet close to Ganges and grocery stores, wineries, etc.
Wonderful Little Resort on Salt Spring Island
It had been quite a few years since our last visit to Salt Spring Island. What a pleasant surprise Lakeshore turned out to be. We enjoyed our stay so much we went back for a second visit a few weeks later. This is a very relaxing and scenic resort with 9 cabins on St. Mary's Lake. We loved our cabin (Hollyhock). We had a wonderful view of the lake from all rooms and a large deck to enjoy our morning coffee or have a bar-b-q. The kitchen is fully stocked. The beds are extremely comfortable. The owner and staff are very friendly and truly make you feel welcomed. We will be back again. Thanks for a great stay! Richard and Lori, Victoria, B. C.
Beautiful, Tranquil Resort
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this little beautiful, peaceful place. I loved how quiet it was. Very quaint. We loved the wood burning stove in our suite. Would highly recommend this place to our friends and plan on returning this summer.
Charming one night stay
We had a delightful time in our charming little cabin. I thought the bed was awesome and the fireplace made our overnight stay very cozy. The resort is under new management and they have done many upgrades since I was here last year. Will come back again.
Very disappointing
Stayed there 3 nights. Cabin was cozy, but needed work. Screens on windows and door to keep out bugs would be a good start. Was advertised as " quiet, family friendly resort ". First night was ok. The next 2 days, they had rented the two cabins next to us to a group of 12, twenty something guys on a bachelor party weekend. They weren't warned to be quiet when they started unloading cooler after cooler, and case after case of beer. They weren;t warned when they cranked the music and sat on the balcony all day drinking, getting progressively louder and more obnoxious. Had to endure their drunken noise until 1.00 am. Nobody who works there, stays after hours for security. Couldn;t get in touch with anyone but the owner, and he was on the mainland. He apologized, but couldn;t get hold of anyone until the morning. We were told that they got spoken to. Well that didn;t work. The noise started mid next morning and kept up all day until they finally went to town for the night. Of course they had to make a big production about it when they got back in the early hours of the morning. We were offered the chance to move from our nice spacious cabin to their not so spacious 5th wheel trailer. No bloody way ! Don't move us, move the problem. If it were a motel they would have been kicked out. Essentially lost two nights sleep, couldn;t use our balcony because they were right next to us. Staff did NOTHING to help. Thanks for a nice relaxing anniversary weekend.
Amazing place Tranquil, Hypnotic Peaceful
Randy and Cathy were wonderful hosts (not to mention the resident hens and dogs Mia and Mia. Obviously, I got to know them. Very rustic unique place to kick back and relax. Don't know what Jesse's problem was. If he wanted a 5 star hotel he should have stayed at one. If you want to find what your looking for, this is the place to be.
Poor finishing. Great Location
I visited the Cottage Resort while family was staying there. The finishing in the cottage was very poor, and in some cases did not even exist. The place seems to be in poor repair. The location however is quite nice and the yard is quite large with seemingly good fishing in the lake out your front door. The owner seemed kind and the resort was very child friendly.
