Not happy how clients were treated
We were happy with the place and we felt our stay at Beaver Creek was very good until we received a call driving home that $100 charge would be added to our visa. They felt they had to do more cleaning than normal so that was the extra charge. I had picked up every bit of garbage that was laying around, I put all the recycling away, I piled up all the towels into one pile. I'm 54 years old and was the one to volunteer to sleep on a couch since wasn't enough beds. There was no extra blankets I brought my own blankets in case. It had some cat hair on it from our home. That hair got on their couch and they said we brought a pet along which we did not. So extra cleaning of the couch. We were in bed by 9pm every night so we weren't partying and making a mess. I stayed at probably over 100 cabin rentals taking clients all over Canada. This person was very unpleasant on the phone and said was like a frat party when everything was picked up when we left. Nothing broken, we fully respected the place. I would never go back to this place again. Many that I have talked to would just rather stay in Valemount.
Canceled reservation for no reason
We had reservations at Beaver Creek last year and had to cancel due a a friend's illness. This year, we rebooked for August. They just called yesterday to cancel our reservation. The reason given was Covid measures, but the visit is still 3.5 months away, everyone will be fully vaccinated, and we are a small group of four adults in two cabins. We are not going there to party and have every intention of following physical distancing rules and making sure we are very safe. The other half of our group was told the reservation was canceled due to Beaver Creek wanting to book longer term clients. In either case, the excuses were unacceptable and have left a very bad taste in our mouths. We were very much looking forward to a mellow, relaxing visit and now we are scrambling for another place. This is not how to run a business.
A little Gem in McBride
Stay at BCL for a night on a business trip! These cabins are great! Cozy, warm, private and well equipped. Very comfortable beds and just a wonderful place to stay Would recommend to anyone staying in McBride
Loved staying here
Great cabins; very clean and nicely laid out. Very good for someone passing through or a quiet get-away. Located close to town - but back enough for some privacy. Really enjoyed the quick stay there. Comfortable beds; a real gem!

In the Blue Canadian Rockies
Love it. I was a resident of McBride for a number of years decades ago. I recently returned for a few days for a family reunion. We stayed at Beaver Creek Cabins. They are nicely appointed, cozy. The one we were in had a small " front room " with a table and a commanding view of the mountains to the south and west. Just a marvellous stay.
Lovely spot!
These cabins were great! Nice little kitchen / eating area, large bedroom, satellite tv / internet. The giant chess board in the field is a nice touch. There's a firepit for everyone to use with wood supplied. We just wish the weather had cooperated so we could have explored more!
Night in the Valley
Very nice! Quiet, clean and relaxing. We loved our stay here. Awesome coffee. Were greeted after an evening out by 12 to 15 whitetail deer who were not going to move. Talk about Deer in the headlights. What a welcoming committee.

Tranquillità assoluta!
Se volete trascorrere qualche giorno nella pace più assoluta allora non dovete fare altro che scegliere questo incantevole cottage! Il Beaver Creek Lodge & Cabins è abbastanza comodo per raggiungere il parco nazionale di Jasper che si trova a circa un'ora e mezza di distanza in auto. I cottage sono molto ampi, puliti e silenziosi. Davanti ad ogni cottage c'è una verandina dotata di barbecue. Il nostro cottage (mi pare il 6) non era dotato di cucina ma c'era un microonde che all'occorrenza è risultato utile. Nei paraggi ci sono solo due locali (un cinese e un ristorante del posto) e un piccolissimo supermercato che chiude molto presto. Michelle la proprietaria è davvero molto carina e accogliente. A noi (come credo agli altri ospiti) ha regalato una confezione di caffè (credo da loro prodotto). La mattina non è improbabile incontrare qualche animale come alci e cervi (è più difficile incontrare gli orsi). Ci ritornerei!
Wonderful
We just arrived late at night and simply slept showered and left. But I wish we could have stayed longer. The cabin was beyond gorgeous. We stayed in the two bedroom one and let me tell you I could have moved right in and stayed forever. The lady I was communicating with the whole time via email before we arrived was so wonderful and accommodating. I would recommend this place to anyone. McBride is a cute little town and everyone is so friendly and lovely! Definitely eat at Beanery 2 Bistro!
Love this place!
We stayed here for a night on our way back home from Alberta. The staff is friendly and the cabin was so nice. The beds are so comfortable and you have everything you need except maybe a hot plate if you want to cook something. There are bbq's outside and there is a microwave, kettle and coffee maker inside. You are given some wonderful coffee and tea. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful. There is a large fire pit if you want to sit by a campfire. My kids loved the dog and two cats and the large chess set outside. This place is great for a family or a honeymoon getaway.
Beautiful grounds and comfortable stay
I had booked one of the smaller cabins but the owner generously upgraded us for free to the two bedroom cabin. It was absolutely beautiful and had I known how much more value the two bedroom provided, we would have totally booked that upfront. The two bedroom was very large, with a sitting area, full kitchen, laundry facilities and two bedrooms, one bathroom. There's no wifi, but we had cellular reception. The owners have done a very good job with the land! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Ich blieb hier für drei Nächte und fühlte mich sehr wohl. Die Cabins sind sehr komfortabel eingerichtet und die Ruhe der Umgebung ist wirklich toll. Genauso wie der frisch gemahlene Kaffee am Morgen aus der Hauseigenen Rösterei. Die Besitzer waren sehr nett und stets um das wohlbefinden der Gäste bemüht. Ein wirklich gelungener Aufenthalt in McBride.
Peaceful and comfortable get away
After a friendly check in we were really pleased to settle in to our cabin for three nights. Cozy, comfortable and modern it had everything we needed. Comfortable beds, deer roaming in the field to the front, great fresh coffee and peace and quiet. There are only about 7 cabins with plenty space between them. So much better than a hotel I think and good value. Cabins have wifi, cable TV with Netflix (our boys loved that) a kitchen area with microwave, toaster and table for breakfast. Great housekeeping every day and the cabins very clean.
Beautiful and well appointed cabins
I would highly recommended stopping here. We usually stay in Jasper on our way home, but will be staying here from now on. The cabin we are staying in is spotless. Every amenity that we need is here, lots of room, comfortable and stylish furnishings, off the highway, friendly host, and surprisingly very affordable.
Beautiful place and cabins
We were so comfortable and the cabin was very nice! Perfect place for children to play around in the yard:). We really enjoyed our stay, and hope to stay there again:). It is very clean and fun for children.
Idyllisch und ruhig
Die Cabins liegen ruhig auf der Rückseite des Grundstückes mit Blick auf Wald und Wiesen inclusive Sonnenuntergang. Das Häuschen an sich ist sehr gut und modern ausgestattet mit großem Schlafzimmer mit zwei Kingsize-Betten, Bad, kleinem Ess- / Küchenbereich und Sitzgelegenheit vor dem Haus. In der " Küche " steht eine Kaffeemaschine und es gibt sehr guten Kaffee, der von der Hausherrin hergestellt wird. Praktischer wäre es, wenn es auch ein kleines Waschbecken im Küchenbereich geben würde. Rundum kann ich die Beaver Creek Cabins sehr empfehlen.
Peaceful location, well run, spotlessly clean cabins
Highly recommend this place. We stayed here for 3 nights while attending a nearby music festival and were very impressed with everything. An added bonus was the delicious fresh ground coffee that is roasted on site. Perfect way to begin the day, sitting in front of our lovely little cabin, watching the deer in the field, and sipping a good cup of coffee or tea.
A Fantastic Place
This is such a unique, beautiful and great place to stay. Fully Separate huts give you a feeling of staying in your own home. Quite modern rooms with all facilities of a big posh hotel. Huge rooms with separate kitchenettes and dining room. The view outside is breathtaking and mesmerizing. The staff in extremely friendly, polite and helpful. We came to the hotel late night around 10:30 and asked for bonfire and they happily arranged a beautiful bonfire in a beautiful ground at the front of the huts. River flows just steps in the back. What a beautiful place. Oh yeah, the coffee is amazing. It's their signature coffee brand. Loved everything about the hotel. One of the best places we ever stayed in.
Fantastic, economical, terrifically-wonderful cabins!
We just enjoyed our weekend stay at Beaver Creek Lodge & Cabins. Real wood furniture, fresh pressed coffee, LARGE bedroom, front room with kitchen area and nice table and chairs, very private, fantastic setting, and very, VERY reasonable prices. LOVED this place and we will return.
Off to 50th anniversary in Fraser Lake CC
We stayed here a few years ago while travelling in BC. These are absolutely lovely spacious cabins with a kitchen and each cabin has a deck with a propane BBQ. They are private and the attendants at the lodge are very helpful. There is a short walk to the creek and it is likely you will see deer late afternoon or evening in the clearing in front of the cabins. I would recommend these accommodations over staying in a motel any day. These cabins are very clean and well maintained. Free wifi also.
Beaver Creek Foggy Favorite
This was my second time in McBride.... lucky again at getting Cabin # 2, looking out towards the mountains to the West. First time (5 yrs.) ago was a great night... enjoyed the town and friendly locals... hoped it would again be the same.... even better! Beautiful sunset... the fog rolled in after 11 o'clock as we were sitting outside with cups of hot chocolate watching the stars and heavens.... it ambled across the fields slowly towards us... I love the fog.. Ate at the newly opened Robson Valley Grill.... family owned... good, hearty cuisine. Cool, fresh air made for a wonderful night's sleep. Mountains were beautiful with the sunrise when we were leaving in the morning. Railroad car / visitor's centre serves a great breakfast... smell of bacon sizziling and good cup of coffee got us on our way towards Prince George. Only caveat... morning sun (late June) barrels in the top window (it faces east) without any shade / blinds to hold it back.
Best bang for your buck -- anywhere!!
We can't say enough good stuff about these amazing little cottages -- surrounded by mountains, and with the Fraser River running by. They are lovely. They are surprisingly big inside. They look small from the outside, but inside, there's oodles of room. There is a little sitting area in front with a table and chairs, a TV, and a kitchenette station with microwave, mini-fridge, all the dishes, etc. that you need, toaster, coffee maker, and.. a bag of the amazing coffee that they roast onsite. To start a day looking out at the mountains, and having a cup of some of the best coffee.. best! There is a nice bathroom -- lots of thick towels, good toiletries, and a shower (for two) that has good pressure and lots of hot water. Bedroom -- two queen beds, nice bedding, dressers and another TV (wall mounted). This place has a feature that all rentals -- hotels, motels, everything -- should have: a plug in with (I think) four ports for USB's, so you can charge all your devices. There's a little front porch / deck with a bbq, so you can cook your own burgers / steaks, which you might want to consider because dining options in McBride aren't great. We learned that on our way east to west going to the coast. The # 1 place to eat in McBride is the Giggling Grizzly. The name is awesome. The food and service -- not so much. Suggestion: we were travelling west to east on our way back and stopped at a good deli in Prince George (Adria) and got some sandwiches made up. It's immaculately clean, quiet, comfortable. There is not one negative thing I can say. We stayed twice -- once travelling from Edmonton to Prince Rupert, and again on the way back. We would recommend this beautiful spot to anyone. Oh -- I said " best bang for the buck ".. this gem was only $99.00 per night plus tax. Worth every dime.
What a gem of a place to find! I've spent weeks at this place. Incredible place!!
I have stayed here for many weeks at a time while working in McBride. I first met the owners and then developed a relationship. The cabins are so incredible. They feel like home, with a view and an ambience that is hard to beat. The summers are very quiet there and the winters are much busier. The place is a must if your stopping near McBride. This is a gem of a place!!! I would recommend staying here.
Two different nights = same rating = excellent!
Over a one week time frame, we travelled through McBride BC to Calgary, AB from Terrace BC. The first time, we stayed in one of the smaller cabins and the second time, we stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage. We have no complaints. I'm quite particular about cleanliness and both of these units were exceptionally clean. The owners are very helpful and kind. We look forward to our next stay, hopefully it'll be a little longer than 1 night. We highly recommend this property, the service is really wonderful.
Lucky Find
So glad we found this gem. Would highly recommend these cabins, great setting and so lovely and clean, had everything we needed. Only problem was we didn't stay long enough. Wildlife was a bonus. And the coffee delicious.
Beyond the Ordinary
Just by luck that we booked this extraordinary cabin and am already looking forward to booking it again next year. The cabins are actually off the highway and away from highway noise. The cabins were built by the owner and are of exceptional quality as are all of the furnishings. Very friendly owner who roasts her own coffee for sale and provided in the cabins - excellent coffee. Would highly recommend.
Stay here- you will be thrilled
We stayed in one of the cabins for an overnight in early August. We were delighted. The location is magical, with the view towards the mountains, and the Fraser River is at the other side of the property, with lovely vistas as well. The cabin itself was a delight. The two big comfortable beds were in a separate room from the small eating area. There us a television in the bedroom. There was a microwave, coffee, and bowls, plates and cutlery. As well, there was a barbeque. The coffee supplied in the kitchen area is ground by the owners and delicious. We had the feeling of being in the wilderness, though the cabins are just a couple of minutes off the highway. The management was warm and welcoming. I suggest to make this place more of a destination than we were able. You'll feel like you are in your home away from home in the cosy cabin. The area around McBride has a wealth of outdoor activities available, from hiking in the summer, to winter activities in the winter.

Hotel molto pulito e curato. La camera molto grande e dotata di ogni confort. Alla mattina ci siamo svegliati in un meraviglioso silenzio, con i cervi che mangiavano le mele dall'albero vicino alla nostra camera: bellissimo!
Beautiful place with awesome views
We stayed at the beaver Creek Lodge for 2 nights in cabin 5. The host was very friendly, the beds very comfortable, and the overall cabin very nice. The views from right outside the door are spectacular, and the Fraser River is only a few steps away.
Beautiful Peaceful Spot
A jewel hidden in McBride. So peaceful and serene situated on the Fraser River. Careful attention to detail in every cabin and very reasonably priced. Loved staying there and will again every chance I get
Enjoy Privacy And A Peaceful Atmosphere
We rented Cabin # 5 on August 06, 2015. The cabin was very clean and included most amenities that a person would want. Being a cabin, you enjoy the privacy and quiet atmosphere that comes with this type of accommodation. The seven cabins are designed for privacy from the neighbouring cabin. The field in front of the cabins were enjoyed by six deer grazing, apparently free from fear of humans in the area.
Hidden gem on Yellowhead Highway
Not sure what accommodation was available in this tiny town, I asked a gas attendant. He pointed at a fancy electronic sign next to the gas station and we followed it. We found Beaver Creek Lodge and Cabins. We stayed at the cabin # 2, which has a microwave and a fridge and a large bedroom with two queen beds. There was a freshly ground coffee from the owner's own roasting production, as well as an electric kettle and utensils. The view of the field and the surrounding mountains were astonishing, especially when a thunderstorm rolled through the valley. If a dog or a cat that come to visit (both friendly / shy) won't entertain you, have a go at a giant chess board. If you want to see stars and hear literally nothing (occasional truck on a distant highway, perhaps) at night - this is the place.
Gem hidden away in the mountains of McBride, BC
We stop for the night at the Lodge, was recommended by friends. The owners are very friendly & accomidating. We traveled with our little dog & he was very welcomed. The cabin was wonderful wish we could have stayed longer. They roast their own coffee beans, the coffe was amazing. You can even buy a bag to take home. So, don't miss out on this little gem in the mountains, you won't be disappointed. We pulled our boat loaded from fishing, the location is off the main traffic flow & very secure. The mountain setting was beautiful.
Friendly, clean, quiet and very comfortable
We are a seniors couple and enjoy driving. This trip to Prince Rupert was planned for a three day easy drive. We arrived in McBride in mid afternoon and found Beaver Creek Lodge located north of the townsite at the end of a paved road. While settling in to our private cabin, we saw a black bear ambling through the meadow. The cabin was remarkably clean and well appointed - and even had freshly ground coffee from beans roasted by the owner. The two queen beds were very comfortable and the crisp linen sheets welcomed us for a peaceful rest. At the owner's suggestion, we dined at the Morel restaurant - a five minute drive back to the heart of downtown McBride.
Loved staying here!!!
Had the best nights sleep here on our vacation! My husband and I were travelling with my parents. We stayed in the 'Loft Chalet with Kitchen' and gave them the bedroom and we slept in the loft. The cabin was really clean and we loved the view. My husband and I played chess on the outdoor chess board (he won) and had a great time. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Wished I went thru here more often just so I could stay here:)
Amazing!!!
This place was amazing! One of the nicest places I've stayed at an amazing value! Felt like a luxury resort! We stayed in a newer cabin and it had absolutely everything! Such a friendly family and the fresh ground coffee was such a treat!!! I would recommend this place to everyone... it's a hidden gem!
Such a cute little oasis
We have stayed here a few times, and will certainly stay again. The service is warm and hospitable. The rooms are spotless and the price just can't be beat. Skip the hotels here and just rent yourself a cabin, you'll be glad you did!
Amazing cabin & service
Every time we ride in McBride we stay at Beaver Creek, the cabins are always extremely clean and well setup. Your new cabins are Amazing!! The staff are always friendly & professional. Great job guys!! Our trips are always the best when we stay with you guys. *the negative review? Maybe they trashed the place and were mad they had to pay for what they broke ??
Amazing
3 of us stayed in one of the 5 bed cabins on the weekend of December 28, 2013. The cabin was spotless when we arrived and the staff was polite and accommodating, there was ample room to park our truck and trailer and the driveway and front walk were cleared of snow before we arrived. The washer and dryer and boot dryer were a bonus after a wet day of sledding!! Everything worked great and we had no issues for our entire stay. The cabin and location was beautiful!! I cannot say enough to express how pleased I was with our accommodations for this weekend. This is the only place that I will ever be staying in McBride. Thank you Beaver Creek Lodges!!!
Breathtaking Location
We loved our stay here... the most comfortable bed I have slept in!!!! The rooms were bright and very clean.... can not wait to come back. We came for my son's wedding and were pleased that we were offered a family rate. The staff were very friendly and I cannot repeat enough how lovely this place was to stay.. close to town but you felt like you were right in the mountains.
Wow!
I was traveling to Jasper / Banff National Parks and I found this location on the internet. Wonderfully appointed cabins, clean. Excellent fresh coffee and little candies / treats when entering the cabin. Excellent price. I would definitely stay here again.
Wow, what a great place to stay!
So many pluses here: beautiful meadow view in front of the cabins (complete with visiting deer), individual private cabins that are roomy & very well-kept, convenient drive into McBride but still off the beaten path, and your own little private mini-snackbar in the room (pay for what you eat / drink when you leave). We stayed here for 2 nights, while in town for a wedding, and would definitely like to stay longer. We walked down to the river, which is lovely, we watched a lighting storm in the distance that became a major thunderstorm in the middle of the night, and even got to see our first northern lights (though a very toned down version, not what you would call spectacular). Two big, very comfy beds, a big tv in the bedroom as well as another tv in the front sitting room, and a kitchenette made this like a home away from home. Oh, and there's a giant chess set on the lawn area in front of the cabins. The only small complaint we had was the squeaky wood floors, which meant that when one of us got up for any reason, the other one was awakened as well. But the rest of the good points far outweighed this minor inconvenience. Amazingly, this was also the cheapest place we stayed on our trip through Canada! We highly recommend this place, and will be back if we ever need a place to stay in McBride (if our family can't put us up!).
Cozy slice of heaven
Stayed one night, and wish it could have been longer. Loved the decor, the layout of the cabin, the view, the furniture, the cozy bed linens; everything about it was meant for comfort and relaxation. To top it all off, I don't think I've stayed in a hotel that was this clean - it felt just like home! The goody basket / stocked fridge where you could take what you wanted and just pay on departure was a welcome surprise, since McBride is so small and stores might be closed just when you need them. The amenities were bar none, especially considering this is a smaller operation. I would HIGHLY recommend Beaver Creek Lodge and Cabins to anyone who is traveling through McBride. Stop over on your way just to take advantage of this gem!
What a little gem
Clean, clean, clean little cabins, all nicely decorated with birch furniture. I'm not sure but it looks like all the furniture was hand made, and was done very, very well. Great focus on perfection. I've travelled through McBride many times and had no idea these cabins were there. They are nicely tucked away on the river for privacy but are right in town, so close from everything. The scenery is spectacular. We woke up in the morning to a deer crazing in the field right by the cabin. I'd recommend these cabins to anyone, what a perfect stay.
Unexpected Elegance in the Wilderness
Beaver Creek Lodge and Cabins provided a superb experience at the end of a quiet back road outside McBride. We often walked to and from the town. McBride, between Kamloops and Prince George on the Yellowhead Highway, is only a few miles from Mt. Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Our large and beautifully furnished cabin offered two comfortable queen-size beds in the bedroom, plenty of pillows, sparkling linens and a flat-screen TV. In one corner of the bedroom a small table with chairs was just the right size for a few people to have a light breakfast or plug in computers to enjoy the free Wi-Fi. The indoor living area, with a futon couch and another TV came equipped with a microwave, fridge, coffee-maker, electric kettle and cutlery and dishes We even found detergent, dishcloth, kitchen towels and a cutting board. To top this off, Jill and Stewart, the owners, roast their own coffee, so what they leave in the cabin for guests to enjoy creates a most inviting aroma. The generous number of towels in the bathroom and a roomy shower came as a delightful surprise, too. Outside, a porch with deckchairs gives a view of a wide green forest-surrounded field where deer wander freely. In the evening, a large fire-basin awaited, so naturally we all gathered around and enjoyed the crackling flames. Our family group at Beaver Creek Lodge & Cabins consisted of my husband and me, our adult granddaughter in one cabin, my sister and her husband in another, their daughter and son-in-law and two of their adult children in yet another. One of our cousins and her husband completed the party.

what a little gem! the cabins with glorious view of majestic Mt. Robson are quaint with much more room than external appearance would suggest. The place is extremely quiet and very peaceful - if one can not de-stress and unwind here, something is wrong. The owner was quite friendly and welcoming and being greeted with humour after slick, icy roads was appreciated. No keys here just electronic codes and internet was easy to access with no additional charges. The furnishings were made of natural wood and gave a warm feeling just walking in. The beds large and soft - the pillows gently wrapped one's head and invited sleep. This place is a great refuge from the standard hotel rooms and a place I will return to again.
Quiet, comfortable
An absolutely idyllic setting, beautiful cabins, great beds, friendly, accommodating hosts and just a few minutes walk from a number of restaurants. We can't say enough good things about this place. Add reasonable prices and it is a gem on the river.
