Good service. food too salty
I have eaten lunch at the Downingtown Olive Garden a number of times and the food and service have always been good. However, when I had lunch there on 3 / 5 / 25, I was disappointed. The service was ok but the food was not. The soup and chicken parmesan were both very salty--to the point that it was difficult for me to eat them, and the bread stick was dry and tasteless. I wondered if the cook that day was new or inexperienced, since the quality of the food was unusually below par. I always appreciate the beauty and comfort of the restaurant and the generally excellent service, so I hope you can lower the level of salt, especially considering that many people are on low salt diets.
Okay
Not a big fan of chain Italian Restaurants and I can't say this is much better. We did a take out meal for a family birthday for someone who is a fan. They had a Tour of Italy for their meal and enjoyed it. The rest of the food was okay, the order wasn't perfect. We ordered Pasta e Fagioli and got Minestrone, we only got one salad instead of the 4 we should have received. One other thing was the bread some was good and fresh and some was stale, hard and dry. Can't say we will return.
Love their Salad and Minestrone soup
Had Mushroom Riovolli; it was great but I love their salad and soup. Eggplant dish was also good. They were having payment issues that day
Not usually a fan of Franchise Restaurants
Understand, I am not recommending the Olive Garden food as their entrees are average at best. However, we were taking Grandchildren who were pleased with their Chicken Nuggets and play screens. Also, our soups were actually good. The main dishes were not great. But, the best thing which I find unusual at these types of restaurants was the service which was wonderful.
Great server
Our kids love this place. They can be a handful, but we got a really good server. She was attentive, brought things over as fast as she could, and kept our kids happy. I was really impressed. The food is fine, nothing special, but you can't beat the price!
Bad service
I can't seem to rate this place with zero stars. The service is awful and when we spoke to a manager the server gave attitude.
Great food for a great price
I have eaten at this Olive Garden approximately 20 times. The staff is always friendly and the food is delicious and I almost always take home leftovers as they are more than happy to refill the salad and I can never finish my entree.
Disappointed
Went there after the movies. Five people inthe group. Of the five two people had meals they enjoyed. For the other three the food was well below par. The salad and breadsticks were very good as always. The fettuccine sauce was broken on two of the plates. They served salad shrimp that were under cooked on one of the dishes. Only one drink was refilled after it was requested. Gotta stop going to chains.
Poor service
Was disappointed. We used to come here a lot. It was great. Haven't been here in couple years and decided to go there. Service was slow at best. Hostess took us to a table that was still being cleaned so we stood there waiting to be seated at wet table. Server took at least 5 min to get to us. Never offered us to taste house wine. Was not around often. It was 3:30 in the afternoon. Not many people so it was not busy. Both my husbands and my soups came out spilled onto plate and spoon. Very messy. Tables around us were never bussed during our whole meal. Never seen a manager at all. They used to come around and great you and ask how your meal was. A night out with my husband is special and this is not a place that we will go back to. Our server was a nice young lady but very absent from serving.
Mediocre
Disappointed. Ordered salmon, mushroom raviolis, Alfredo linguini and shrimp scampi. All dishes mediocre.
Reliable!
Wait Time: B- Food: A Atmosphere: B+ Service: C+ Prices: A- Overall: B We were here on June 13th since we just received a gift card. Wait Time: This place does not take reservations. You can sign up on the wait list, like we did 20 minutes in advance and we still waited 20 minutes when we got there. My only complaint is they don't staff for the amount of people. This place is always crowded and they don't open certain sections since they don't have the wait staff, I guess. Food: There's only one reason you go to Olive Garden over an independent Italian restaurant, you know and like the food and its consistent. I got the 5 ziti al forno, which I normally do and it was very good. Love the breadsticks and salad too! Atmosphere: The restaurant appeared to be clean and no glaring issues. Service: Our waitress started off well but towards the end, she was no where to be seen. We waited awhile after we were done with our main meal to order dessert. Not sure if something happened outside of her control, but we literally didn't even see her for a solid 15 minutes. Prices: Standard. I didn't think we got ripped off. And we did have a gift card, so... Overall: I enjoy Olive Garden. I know what to expect and I give this place certain wiggle room because they are a chain. I will always go to Olive Garden, not regularly, but when I want to unless their is a major grievance.
Great Service, sub par food
My family and I went for dinner and the service was great. We called ahead and were seated within 10 minutes on a busy Saturday evening. Our waitress was very pleasant and quick to deliver more salad and breadsticks to our family of five that was quite hungry that evening. I ordered the new " biggest meatball " meal and it was a big disappointment. The spaghetti was over cooked and the meatball tasted odd, as if it was more filler than meat. We aren't big Olive Garden people anyway so I doubt we'll be going back.
Lunch stop on a weekday
So I came here on a Friday to try one of the lunch duos, which are only available at lunchtime on weekdays. I got the Grilled Vegetable & Cheese Piadina with unlimited salad and it was a great, healthy lunch. Very quiet on a Friday, so you can get right in.
Never again
Before I start my rant. This isn't the first time I have had a horrible experience here. Even though I am a server and bartender and I try to give everyone the benefit of doubt, but this was honestly the worst service my boyfriend and I have received out to eat within the last 2 years! We arrived around 4pm. It must have been Codys first day in a restaurant ever!! Working in the industry for 8 years I knew right away when we were greeted it was gonna be bad. Our Server Cody had no personality and lacked people skills. He greeted us by saying, " hi I'm Cody. Any drinks ". No wine samples, or information on specials. It was all he could take to look at us let alone make a friendly connection with us. After ordering our appetizer and then eating it, it was a good 15 mins later and Cody finally came to take our dinner order. After taking all 3 of our orders Cody was about to walk away but I stopped asked, " excuse me since you didnt ask us " " do our dinners come with soup or salad anymore " ? Cody looked confused and asked what we would like.15 mins pass and finally another server brings our soups out but with no bread sticks. We ask for bread sticks. ANOTHER 15ish more mins pass and our server Cody finally checks on us. He informs me that the dish that I ordered (now at least 45+ mins ago) was not available. He asks me what I want instead. I had to ask for a menu, Since I do not work there. In the mean time we asked for refills on our soup and our breadsticks (60 mins later). I ordered the chicken parmigiana but a tad modified. (3 meat Marinera instead of house marinara) VERY SIMPLE! In the meantime I also let our server Cody know he can bring my boyfriends and my sisters dinner out since it has been over an hour. Finally 90mins+ later and our food comes out. SURPRISE my food comes out wrong and my boyfriends and sisters food looks like it was sitting In the window all day. We still do not have bread sticks. Over a freaking hour for breadsticks!Seriously Olive Garden. This is one of your main components that bring people to you and what you are known for. Now At this point I am done and annoyed, I have completely lost my appetite. I am beyond frustrated. Your job is very simple Cody. I even said to my boyfriend and sister, that I, someone who has never worked for Olive Garden could do better than you, Cody. My little sister was extremely upset that dinner was going the way it was going, since she never gets the time to hang out with us, due to school and dance. My boyfriend and I haven't had a nice dinner out in over three months, let alone quality time with my little sister. So now we are beyond disappointed, annoyed, and frustrated! At this point I don't even want my dinner (even if Cody check backed in the correct time to fix it) since it was wrong, on top of that my sister and boyfriend just wanted more alfredo sauce for their pasta, but sadly they never got it. We never even got a check back from Cody to see, " how did everything come out ". Another 15 mins pass CODY has not checked on us let alone asking my boyfriend want he would like for his refill on endless stuffed pasta. Another server happen to stop by and asked if everything was ok. My sister asked for extra sauce and now it has been well over an hour, if not almost two hours and my boyfriend asked if we were even going to get breadsticks. 10 more mins pass and still no CODY in sight of the restaurant!!! I would love to know where he is since there was only 6 other tables and 5 servers. He must of been in the back messing around or smoking. Finally my boyfriend is beyond fed up and went to talk to manager! The manager Darby is the only reason I am giving this 1 star. (If I could give Darby 5 stars I would) Cody needs to be retrained if not fired. I honestly don't think he is meant for the restaurant industry. I really want to thank and acknowledge Darby the manager for understanding and helping us out. We will go to Delaware or Lancaster from now on. 2 hours+ for soup and an appetizer I will never go back Downingtown Olive Garden!! I
Good Store Better than most
Clean, Engaging staff and service. Lunch combos are great. Value great for family's. Salads fresh and tasty. Service perfect. All the staff smiles. Very welcoming location.
Why Do People Gat There
Spent a business lunch at this restaurant. I would not have chosen this particular venue as our previous visit was also a disappointment. There were 8 of us. We were seated promptly. Offered a sample of wine. Had to Chase down a hostess to get water and when she asked me if it was for a party of two I said no for 8. She told me my waitress would have to get it tat she couldn't do it. Lunch was finally ordered. Three chose soup and salad. The others had random requests. Salad came, bread came, bread is a waste of carbs. all entrants came but soup people had to wait. We politely waited but our food was getting cold. Soup finally arrived. My entrant which was an appetizer of shrimp was butter sauce was nothing more than fried soggy shrimp thrown on a plate with two slivers of lemon. Tasteless. Soup eaters ate and finally the waitress appeared and asked them if they would like more By then we aerefinished with our meeting and were ready to go. So 'no more soup for you'. Won't go back.
Olive Garden. That's What It Is
Why did I title my review that? Because that's what any Olive Garden is. The exact same anywhere yo go in the U. S. It's a sudo-Italian restaurant that really does not serve authentic Italian. It serves what an ad agency in LA or NYC thinks Americans should eat disguised as Italian food. It's ok. The Soup, breadsticks and salad is the best value and I think the best tasting food they offer. The pasta dishes are crap, they are just covered with some type of cheese to mask any other taste you would experience. Again. Not much else to say about it.
Good Italian Food.
Around 20 people and we ended up in Olive Garden. This time I ordered the Shrimp Scampi and it was perfect. Prices are moderate to low.
Dirty fork
The fork was greasy. It was an indicator that there is some problem with dishwashing. An inspection of the silverware could have warned management of problems in the system. When I showed the fork to the waitress, she became a little annoyed and tried to offer excuses which I immediately refuted. She came back with a clean fork but was never apologetic. The pasta was practically tasteless. Eating the dish with the bread sticks gave it some saltiness since the bread sticks were quite salty.
Love this place!
We absolutely love Olive Garden! The staff are so nice & very attentive. The food is delicious! The Zeppoles are out of this world!! We'll be going back very soon!
Italian food
I love there salads. Bread sticks are bad either. So are their entries. I really like it. You can get adult beverages their. I like their tour of Italy.
Always a favorite
Stopped by for a mid afternoon dinner on a rainy Saturday. This place is always hopping. Our waitress was fast and friendly. The beer is always cold and the pasta always delicious. Will often stop just for takeout salad and breadsticks to complement our meal at home.
Not a good Olive Garden experience
I've been to numerous Olive Garden locations and I've been satisfied most of the time, but the service and the food was really off at this one. The waitress was not very attentive and she even disappeared for 10 minutes, twice, and then came back and would attend to other things and not take care of whatever we asked for. We even waited almost 15 minutes after I gave her my credit card. I have no idea what she could have been doing, and I think she had some major attention-deficit issues. The food was just average, a little inconsistent from other Olive Garden experiences. The bread sticks were seriously overcooked and the Chicken Parm was also overdone, and the artichoke dip was very tasteless. I'll will not be going back.
Great
Haven't been to an Olive Garden in years since they closed in Canada. Went for lunch with a friend and it was AMAZING. Food is great service was awesome.
Who can resist BOGO
Had a delightful meal with my friend for her birthday. The food was great, and she really enjoyed the free birthday dessert. Both of us went home with half of our lunch and the free extra entrees. The mozzarella chicken was very tasty.
Quality and value
Did the buy one take one and got six excellent meals for $36. Ravioli was really, really good. Salad and breadsticks were great as always. service was top notch as well.
Always busy, usually a 15 minute wait longer at dinner
Great location, service hit or miss depending on server. You get to sample their wine. Salad and breadsticks will fill you up if you are not careful. Pasta dishes are very tasty. Chicken parmigiana is always good. Most entrees are shareable. Place is always packed. Lots of return customers.
Patti s birthday
We went as a last minute for a birthday dinner. Everything was very good. Starting with very little wait (5 min) as we called ahead. The server was very attentive and quick with drinks and dinners. I had the steak gorgonzola medium rare and it tasted great. My wife had the citrus Salmon. This was a new dish and she enjoyed it very much. The soups both had fresh and crunchy vegetables, once again very good. Dessert was a berry pastry with ice cream and lemon cake. They were both very good. Save some room and bring home some of the entre.
Can it get any worse?
Let me start off by saying that this is the only restaurant that I know of that you have to wait for a table when the restaurant is only 1 / 2 to 2 / 3 filled. The particular Olive Garden never has enough staff and always has customers waiting in a half empty restaurant. Last night, our experience was probably the WORST we ever had at this Olive Garden. The service was sub par and 2 out of our 3 entrees were prepared incorrectly and had to be remade. Our server seemed quite incompetent and would not get a manager involved. It was another server who stepped in to inform a manager. The manager tried every trick in the book to not have to discount our meals but finally relented when we were finished and wanted to get the hell out of there. Bottom line, avoid this Olive Garden. It will be quite some time before we ever go back there again.
Excelente opção
Pratos maravilhosos, muito bem preparados. O atendimento é excelente com muita cortesia e bom vontade em agradar. Super recomendo.
Good for Vegetarians (no egg)
They do have dishes that can be made without fish oil. That for me is the USP of the place. There are some options but you have to ask. Place is good, ambience great and service decent. Would I go there for the team? Yes Would I go there if it were to me? May be
Good food
If you like Italian food Its a good place to eat. Service is good. I love all of their soups and salad. They should clean the floors more often. I have noticed there were food particles all over the floor.
Love the Tour
Great service with consistent good quality food. Love the Tour of Italy. Large portion with good salad and all the breadsticks you can eat.
Busy, Busy, 15 minute wait
After seeing Rogue One at the Regal across the street, the 4 of us went to The Olive Garden. Families, groups, and couples were backed up in the entrance. We got our beeper and went over to the bar, and ordered some sodas. Discussed the movie while we waited. Beeper blinked and off to our booth. That's when we noticed that one whole section was vacant. They must be low on staff to keep the entire place manned. People still waiting in the entrance. Must be because of the wages they offer their employees. But our Waitress (Mary) was very professional and upbeat! We'd figured out our order while at the bar, and she quickly refreshed our drinks, let us sample a good red blended wine, and got our order into the kitchen, Lickity Split! She was back in no time with plates, salad, breadsticks! The other couple remarked 'Wow! She's great!' As we finished the salad our main meals arrived! Loaded Shrimp Scampi, spaghetti, lasagna and soup! Mary, our waitress was Excellent!! The Manager probably needs to tell corporate to raise the wages, then they could open up the whole restaurant!
Horrible Service and more...
Today my friend and I went to the Olive Garden for a quick lunch. We waited for 20 minutes (along with about 15-20 other people) for a table in the bar. Once seated we waited another 10 minutes before a waiter appeared. We ordered the Soup, Salad, and Breadsticks lunch- which is promised to be delivered quickly. After another 18 minutes we got soup and salad- no breadsticks. The salad had almost no dressing and the soup serving was tiny- and appeared to be what was left at the bottom of the pot. Our waiter disappeared so we had to go the hostess to ask for refills. When walking to the restroom- past the lobby where there was still a crowd- I noticed that more than half o the dining room was empty! When I mentioned that to the manager on the way back to my table he told me that they were 'very busy.' UGH. Chain restaurant that lived down to the very worst. Will not ever go back there.
Not worth my time
Just had dinner at this restaurant. We ordered a combo appetizer of calamari, fried mozzarella and stuffed mushrooms. The calamari was nicely cooked, although the pieces were quite small. The only other thing I can say is that everything was bland. We left over half the appetizer behind and didn't ask to have it wrapped to go. This was lost on our server who never asked if there was a problem. The breadsticks were under cooked, not the golden brown of times past. The salad was unremarkable. Although both were all you can eat, we asked for refills on neither. We had angel hair pasta with marinara and the cheese ravioli, also with marinara, both were bland but adequate / mediocre, but neither would bring me back. The highlight of the meal was the zeppole dessert. The restaurant was very bright, which made it easy to see all the trash on the floor and under our table. Although not directly the restaurant's fault, the dining room was very loud with screaming children at close to 10:00 at night.
Quick lunch
The food was tasty. Service was quick sad that they got rid of the celebration cake. Cheese fondue is tasty. Great for a quick lunch or early dinner
Run down and so so food
I don't normally bother writing reviews of chains (and don't think they should be on TripAdvisor at all), but I will when particularly good or particularly bad. This was particularly bad. For potential patrons, don't order the mushroom ravioli. They were solid and hard and chewy, like beef jerky. I don't know how someone can turn a fungi into something so dense and unappetizing, but they managed! The salad is, from what I could tell, only iceberg lettuce which is notoriously devoid of nutrition, but hey, you can eat all you like. For the management: first, get a new light shade on that lamp by the host stand, do you seriously not see how tattered it is? And that CFC bulb is a stark contrast to the otherwise warm lighting you're going for there. CFC bulbs are not eco friendly (the mercury). As for the lighting, clean the fixtures. Nothing quite like sitting down to a meal, surveying the space, and noticing all the dead bugs in the glass shades of the ceiling fixtures. And our table top practically spun around like a wobbly (drunken) lazy Susan. Like the lamp shade in the lobby, does no one seriously notice that when you (presumably) go to wipe the table down between guests? I haven't been to an Olive Garden since the 90's. Doubt I'll ever go to one again...
It's olive garden
It's olive garden. Some of the nicest Italian frozen dinners you'll get. There's other local places to get slightly better quality for relatively the same cost. But the salad and breadsticks are worth something. I find it hard to find a really good dish, but they're there. Always friendly and good service.
Not a wonderful choice for a special occasion
We wanted to take my son to wherever he chose, for his birthday. This time it was to Olive Garden. When we go to Olive Garden Restaurants, we usually get the soup, salad, and bread stick option. It is usually decent quality, with relatively fresh ingredients, not fried, and if we are still hungry after the first batch, we order another. This is the first time that we have been to this particular restaurant, and thought that it would be similar to the others. That was true of the decor, the hostess, the wine and menu choices, but was not evident in the management or the serving staff. After a long wait for service, we finally ended up with a waitress who we all thought was moonlighting as a waitress, but her first job was in a daycare center. She spoke to us like we were toddlers; in the same pitched voice, with the same deflections and nuances as you would with a very small child. She was a small young woman, and appeared to be struggling with the tray when she brought it to us. So much, in fact, that she was carrying our bread sticks under her arm, painfully close to her armpit! We had ordered marinara sauce for the bread sticks, 10 minutes prior to receiving those valuable herbed dough balls, or we probably wouldn't have touched them after they were under her arm! As it was, we pulled off the parts of the bread that were sticking out under the napkin, and set them aside. This leads me to another point: why would anyone give the warm marinara sauce to us, after telling us that the bread sticks would not be out of the oven for a few minutes? Not unless she was trying to make sure that the marinara sauce was sufficiently " cooled down " enough for us to eat when the bread sticks arrive? Every time that she checked in on us (which was not often), she used the same tone of voice, and it was almost like pulling teeth to get her to give refills on our food or beverages. Overall, the food quality wasn't up to snuff either, with the chicken gnocchi soup having pieces of tendonous, muscle in it. My son picked out all of the chicken, and ate the rest of the soup. I would like to mention, that I did not see a manager on duty the day and time that we were there. Overall, in my opinion this restaurant is not up to the same standards as the rest of the Olive Garden restaurants that we had visited across the Nation. We will not be back to this one.
The New " Tour of Italy " is a Hit
I can tell when my wife likes what I have ordered - she literally finishes up the dish for me. I had the Tour of Italy with Braised Beef and Tortellini, Fettuccine Alfredo, and Stuffed Manicotti. The beef was rich, delicious and buttery. But what really stuck out about this visit was the attentiveness of the servers. We dined with our elderly parents, and their quirkiness can be challenging for staff at times. These servers and staff treated them with grace, and met their every wish in short order. Three cheers for the staff. And, thank you.
Dependable decent quality on a budget
Have been a frequenter for many years, the bottomless soup and salad is nice, unlimited refills for when you're hungry but don't want to spend a lot, service is friendly and reasonably prompt.
Its all Greek to me
Love greek food and their sampler is a good way to start. I have never found the owners super friendly so I don't go often but if I'm craving some grape leaves, spanakopita or a little moussaka this is the only place in town.
Unbelievable Salad
If you want to enjoy a great meal and cooking isn't your thing in the summer go to Olive Garden. My fiance and I eat out a good deal of the time. He always picks Olive Garden for his favorite believe it or not the pasta fagioli soup. My favorite thing is the salad. We usually pass on drinks. The wine sampler is enough for me. I love it when they have specials. To take home meal for the next day is super. Since I am retired I try to stretch my eat out money, the staff are great and very helpful. If you leave hungry it's your own fault. Treat yourself to a wonderful night out.
Good Food at fair prices
We have always had good service and good food. The salad and dressing is terrific. The entrees are are very satisfying and usually require a take home box.
O. G. - Always Good!
OK, it's not the Italian your mom used to make and it's not South Philly Italian but darn it, this chain always manages to do a good solid job with their menu. We hit it for lunch a couple of weeks ago and it was very good as always. Love their ice cold salad and hot breadsticks, I had the bread stick chicken parm sandwich (just right for lunch) while my wife had the lunch lasagna (loved it!). Topped it off with the lemon cream cake and coffee because our rule is you have to end the meal with something sweet. Our server was Rory and he was great. Well trained, friendly, professional and attentive! Olive Garden has a good formula and gets it right every time we stop in.
Never again !!!
We stopped in here for an early dinner. The hostess was very nice and sat us in the bar area even though there was no one else in there. She stated our waitress would be right with us. We sat there for about 5 minutes before the hostess came back to take our drink order and aplogized for the wait. She again stated our waitress would be right with us. Meanwhile at least 4 staff people kept looking out the window at the snow complaining how they were there. Finally after 10 minutes our waitress showed up and asked us if we knew what we wanted. We needed a few minutes because we didn't have menus. Another 5 minutes go by and now once again looking for our waitress because we now knew what we wanted. When she showed up I told her I wanted chicken picatta and she said ok chicken parmesan. I thought she was kidding but she was serious so I had to tell her again. We finally placed our order and hoped for the best. Again there were at least 4 staff people in the bar area staring out the window at the snow and no one helped us at anytime. Two other parties were now seated in the bar so the bartender took care of them? Each party had 1-2 people in them. They all got their food way before we did and the bartender checked on them frequently. Our waitress showed up to refill our drinks and explained that our food would be right out. The staff was finishing up the sauce for the order of chicken picatta. When the food finally arrived it was a joke. The chicken picatta had no sauce on it and the side was mushy. Again our waitress disappeared so we ate most of the meal without any refills. The manager came by and asked how everything was and I literally told him I wanted to eat and get the heck out of that place. He did the best he could and took my meal off the bill which wasn't necessary as I ate the food. He also gave us a gift card for later and said they would do better next time. I applaud him wanting to make things right but we will not be back
Too busy for customers
Yesterday my friend and I went to the Olive Garden for a late afternoon lunch. We walked into this establishment and were ignored by the hostess for at least five minutes. The woman totally ignored our presence while she looked at her cell phone. I finally spoke up and she told us to sit down, it would be a few minutes. After ten more minutes, another hostess came over and then seated us. Our server came over immediately, was attentive and saved our experience. The food was at best average, the breadsticks barely baked. The bill came and then we were charged dinner prices, even though we ordered from the lunch menu and had lunch order portions. Fifteen minutes later, the bill finally was reissued with the correct prices. My friend had a view of the serving station, and let's just say, it was not such a professional view. What a disappointment! I would say, go to one of the local Italian / pizza restaurants for your pasta. It may be a better experience!
Received what I expected
The benefit to Olive Garden is inexpensive evening out and the kids love anything pasta. Saturday night, crammed seating, pandemonium all around. Had the tour of Italy. All pasta was ok to poor. Lasagna was overcooked on the bottom and under on top. Ziti was pummeled with a sauce which was spread thin over top. What made me give the experience a '3'? Our server was incredible. Simply excellent. I hope not to go back but again - kids love it and until they say no - we will occasionally show up
Fantastic lunch
I have not been to Olive Garden due to a bad experience I had with the one in Wilmington. I decided to try it again today and I am glad I did. Had a short wait and that was no problem. They were crowded today. I was there with my 18 yr old son who only cares about eating and will eat about most anything. I, on the other hand, will not. I started out, of course, with the salad and my son ordered the soup. No point to say anything.. if you have eaten their salad you know how good it is. Jacob was overly excited to know he could have a soup refill. So far, so good. Only hiccup was waiter seemed to forget about the bread sticks but eventually we got them. I ordered the lighter version of the shrimp scampi and son got the chicken alfredo. The scampi was delicous.. I did not feel full since there was no heavy sauce and it had angel hair pasta. Only complaint was it could have had a few more shrimp.. Son ate everything and said it was really good. Toof full to order dessert. I woudl have ordered a glass of wine, but for 9.50 I thought that was a bit much Overall, excellent meal, excellent service, friendly waiter and good value for the food. I am a happy camper
Good Eats
Olive Garden can be a mixed bag, but the folks in charge here seem to have it together. Somewhat of a wait on a Saturday night, but they moved things along. Waitstaff was attentive and polite. Food came in a timely manner and was very good. Chain restaurant food is predictable, but that's why we often go to Olive Garden... we know pretty much what we are going to get; no surprises. Just decent Italian food.
Better than last experience
Having given poor review in June thought I should review again. Much better service today from Bobby and the lobster raviolli was a really good choice.
A one hour wait for a meal
We went to this Olive Garden @5:30 tonight (Sunday). It took 1 hour from the time we ordered until our meal was served. Our server kept saying our food would be out in a few minutes. The manager only spoke to us after my husband flagged him down. We left with some takeout. The manager offered no explanation and comped our bill. We won't be returning.
Very busy, very par
Compared to other Olive Garden locations I've visited, this one felt like they were trying get as many people into the restaurant as possible, as tables are close to each other and as a result the dining rooms are very noisy. The popularity is apparent, although the speed at which service occurs may hamper their efforts. Salad was served on very warm plates that probably just came from a dishwasher (other locations typically serve on chilled plates, perfect for salad). The entrees came out looking like they were thrown on plates, thankfully the flavors were still good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but it still works if I happen to be in the mood for Olive Garden, maybe on a weekday.
