Poor experience
The hotel rooms were not renovated and they were old. The beach was nice and so was the pool but the breakfast at the hotel was terrible. Even tho we stayed 1 night the experience was poor and for the same price you can find better accommodations in prachuap kiri khan.
Good location, terrible service
This is the only hotel on Ao Minao bay, which is a lovely, clean, quiet (everything shuts at 7) beach. The hotel is large with a pool and decent restaurant. We had a standard room which was large and clean, but dated, wallpaper peeling and woodwork chipped. A good balcony, overlooking the bay and islands. The room had more or less the same facilities as a superior room, but cheaper?? As for free wifi, forget it. The reason for a '2' - When booking by phone my wife had to give her Thai I. D. card details for making the reservation. When we arrived the receptionist could not find it on her computer. She then accused her of lying, quite rudely. I then showed her the email confirmation. No apology given. In all my years in Thailand I have never seen a Thai disrespecting an elder in such a way, and never seen a receptionist do so anywhere. On another day another receptionist was playing on her phone. I asked if she knew the local train times. No she replied. Asked if she could please find out for me. No she replied. Definitely training needs required.
Airforcehotel, ganz ok
Gr Zimmer, schon bisschen abgewohnt, Wasserkocher, Tee, Kaffee, Wasser, TV, WiFi, Frühstücksbuffet okay aber nicht aufregend, direkt am Strand, Zimmer mit Meerblick, Pool, in der Nähe, am Airforcegelände kann man Brillenlanguren beobachten, Fahrzeug notwendig, genügend Parkplätze vorhanden, Essen im Restaurant sehr gut, Hotel eher für kürzere Aufenthalte
What a VIEW!
Located inside a Thai airforce base, this resort could perhaps boast of enjoying one of the best locations in Thailand. Has all the required amenities except for it's own restaurants. Getting a booking is a bit tough, but it is worth a visit for some great views. See the photos to understand what I mean..
Cheap and Clean resort
Cheap and clean resort with sea view in Ao Manao area. Nice silent sea view, resort also has a swimming pool. Breakfast served boil rice, and American breakfast. They also have Thai restaurant and seafood serve at lunch and dinner time!

На территории военной базы Wing 5 есть большой отель, он также открыт для гражданских лиц и в том числе иностранцев. Стоимость проживания очень разная, от 1800 бат до 4000 бат. Это также зависит от дней недели, в выходные, начиная с пятницы цены дороже. Отель старый, но хорошо поддерживается, все таки военный объект. Официально он называется RTAF Welfare Accommodation. При отеле есть большой бассейн для взрослых и детский. С длинными волосами купаться нельзя, если нет шапочки, то можно волосы аккуратно собрать. Завтраки с 06:30 до 09:00, что для отдыха не очень удобно. Сам ресторан больше похож на солдатскую столовую. Зато можно купаться с утра до вечера, пляж в 100 метрах. Завтрак рекомендую не заказывать и не ходить на него, по качеству как столовая, еда только тайская и ассортимент не богат.

ประจวบเป็นเมืองที่น่ารักและเงียบสงบ ผมมองข้ามที่พักฟ้าชมคลื่นไปหลายครั้ง เพราะคิดว่าเป็นหน่วยงานราชการ... แต่ผิดคาดเลย ห้องพักคุ้มค่าในราคา1400 แอร์เย็นทีวีชัด อาหารเช้าพอได้ เจ้าหน้าที่บริการดี ที่สำคัญวิวสุดยอดเลยครับ แถมชายหาดและบริเวณรอบๆสะอาดมาก พยายามมองหาขยะสักชิ้น ทำไมหายากจัง... เลยหัวหินมาอีกหน่อย จะพบที่พักดีๆแหละครับ
Peace and tranquillity at an affordable price
I misread the Fa Chom Kluen's hotel highlight of 5-star beach, not the hotel itself. So, the beach itself is 5-star. The hotel is 3 plus otherwise. As it belongs to the Royal Thai Air Force, Wing 5, Ao Manao, they offer discount for Royal Thai Air Force members and some discount for other military members. As for me and my friends, we paid full price, which was only THB200 (THB100) more than what the Thai servicemen would pay. Being inside the Royal Thai Air Force base comes with less crowd and cleaner surroundings. Moreover, I could have spend a week there to cover all of the activities that cost nothing (or at a small fee). Interesting activities are: Lom Muak Mountain Climbing, Separated Sea (a natural phenomenon when the sea dried up and people can walk to a nearby island), historic park and tons beach activities.
