Yikes!
We stayed at Knights Inn in Kingman Arizona, Saturday September 5th, 2022, Labor Day weekend and I CANNOT suggest that anyone else stay there ever - unless they really go thru and renovate the rooms there. First thing when you walk in on each side of the entrance door to office is an armchair with a big head sweat stain at the top. Then the next thing we saw when we approached the counter was the office chair from hell in the back room. Those all should have been indicators - but it was a holiday and we didn't know where else or if we could another room - so we didn't run away in fright. When I booked the room, I saw some of the reviews that weren't super favorable, but I thought it would just be more of an " average " hotel. The ONE thing I can say is - there are NO bugs in the rooms and the sheets are relatively clean (sanitized thru commercial laundry) and the beds were comfortable enough to be slept in. Now having ran a small resort property myself for two years - I was appalled! I'm not going to say what state I was in - but had I been " surprise inspected " (and with COVID my state is surprise inspecting EVERYONE!) I would have been fined and possibly even ordered to shut down. Most of the issues are just neglect to properly clean. Honestly, I used to worry that if somebody paid good money to stay in the best room that the review wouldn't say something like, well I had a great time and everything was really nice until I was laying in bed and noticed dust on the ceiling fan... or a spot on the base of the toilet, etc etc " - and that's the review I didn't want, but apparently this hotel doesn't care enough to properly pay and train their housekeeping staff, and they may not even have enough people to get this property cleaned up decently. I went on alert the day before we arrived when an email came in from property saying that " due to COVID some of their amenities may not be available... " The pool, (we specifically filtered properties using pool), breakfast, etc. The pool WAS open - but we were afraid to use it. It was then I started looking up reviews from other sites including TripAdvisor, and saw that some people didn't even get more than one towel in the room. LUCKILY we asked about that when we checked in, I personally need TWO towels - and in a hotel I always forget something and have to jump out of shower to get it-so it makes a huge mess and then I NEED the towels to sop it up after I dry off. The girl at the desk (she was actually nice, but she only only has so much power) gave us an extra towel - thank god! But she told us they DO only give one towel per person due to a laundry shortage or something. In my state you HAVE to have a certain number of CLEAN towels in inventory ready to go or you can fined or closed all together. There was one actual bath towel, one of what I call a " hair towel " smaller, like a size for a kid, and the one she gave us was also the smaller size. The bath towel I got had a yellow spot (see photos) and a big faded black spot - looked like a mascara stain they unsuccessfully tried to wash out but you could tell it had gone thru the laundry. Now the makeup stains are a problem for hotels, but if you offer some makeup remover with your room supplies, it can reduce this issue. Otherwise you just have to have somebody in HK dept who is designated to find these things, run them thru special remover procedures and then if they aren't able to be cleaned, put them in the disposal review bin so the future of that linen can be determined. But nobody wants to dry off with an obviously NOT clean towel.... Luckily the lighting in the room wasn't so good. There were stains on the carpet, we moved the tv to see it better (something HK obviously never did-see photo) that was scary!! AND there was even a bag of garbage that wasn't ours behind a beat up easy chair. The room had a funny smell -like sourkraut and after I saw that bag I wondered if that was the cuprit, but I certainly was NOT touching it. SEE MY PICTURES OF ALL THIS STUFF! The bathroom was pretty bad. In the open sink area I took a photo of the tile. You can see some of the cleaner spots of grout way at the back underneath counter by wall and how much lighter those few little places are compared to the rest. This is simply from lack of proper mopping. Also there is a picture of the corner where counter meets the wall next to sink-and you can just see the grunge and mold. The shower curtain was FILTHY and there was no liner. The ceiling and the top of the door jam were just terrible with spotted stale water. To prove a point -before leaving I actually took a damp wash cloth and just wiped across top of door jam. You can see the difference in my photo - the HKs just aren't wiping stuff down. Don't get me going about the rest of the shower - just see the photos and judge for yourself. All I can say is - does Arizona NOT have health & cleanliness standards for their hotels?? And especially with COVID, you would think these hotels would hire people to inspect, train HK and correct the problems. Knights Inn is actually a chain... I can't believe that whoever owns this has no issues with all of this. But I can go on, the parking lot was FILLED with junk and garbage, and there were pee stains at bottom of stairs. I believe they allow pets and hope this was from dogs, but can't be sure. There is a Denny's in the middle of the property with what they refer to as a " wash " underneath, which also doubles as a homeless house. I didn't actually take any photos of the outside. If I were the manager of this property I would be embarrassed to admit it. This isn't just a room that didn't get cleaned properly - this is months and maybe years of neglect. Not the best choice to stay, but if you have NO other options, at least you won't go home with bugs and don't forget to ASK for your towels at desk when you check in or you probably won't have enough. Truly I could say a lot more, especially since I've been an operations manager at a resort property, but I would NEVER finish this review. Even the hangers weren't safe - see the photo of the LONG black hair stuck to one of them.
Absolute Garbage
I stayed In Kingman Az in the Knights Inn for a baseball tournament, worst hotel ever, motel 6 is better. Holes in towels, smelled like smoke, the pool was the color of my Gatorade with extreme amounts of hair, bugs, and leaves in it, the furniture was filthy, the carpet was disgusting and hasn't been vacuumed, and the television did not work for the whole visit even after calling. Adding to this, the place is extremely sketchy and terrible service from the lady who worked at the front desk in the evening. The lady starting crying saying she couldn't move from her desk as she was the only one working there at the time. The only pros I have for this hotel is that they provides tissues, and also had nice hot water for a good shower. (The lady working at the desk in the morning was way better than the other one)
Horrible !
Hotel insalubre !
The worst service ever
My husband, mother and our three children just moved here two weeks ago. Just bairy got a place don't get to move in to place till Monday. We've been camping the last 10 days and just wanted a nice shower and nice breakfast in morning for kids. So this lady had the nerve to tell me they don't serve to locals. How do you now want business and we where going to be spending $300. It's already been a rough two weeks for us since we got here to kingman Arizona. Then I walked in and asked a question if they New anywhere else that would take us. The lady had the nerve to tell me if you come in one more time I will call cops on you. How is it against the law to ask questions. Today course it took us a minute because we had to find another place that would take us for the weekend. Then out of know where as we are getting ready to leave to go to other hotel. Two cops start showing as we are leaving. This lady was rude and has no respect for others. Plus I felt Discriminated and she was the first rude person I've ever ment in kingman Arizona. I don't recommend this place to anyone very bad service.
Roadtrip usa
DO NOT STAY HERE!! You've been warned
Dirty, poor service, dirty, ugly, dirty. Expedia rated them at 3.5 so we thought we'd score. No no no. Filthy, just look at my pictures. Management and clearly does not give a sh!t about this place. No one who cares about their customers would allow this to be the case. Save your time and headache. I mean look at that chair in the picture fml looks like it belongs in a dumpster
So disgusted by hotel and staff!
Would rate negative if I could!!! Worst experience ever! When we arrived to the hotel I was at the front desk waiting and no one was there... when a woman finally entered the room she just went to the computer without greeting me and I assumed she was just some other staff but after 10 minutes I asked her if she could check me in and that's when it finally happened. I was told the room wasn't ready and spent another 10 minutes for her to find one. She did give me recommendations to restaurants, which I appreciated, but that was completely overshadowed by her unapologetic attitude later. After getting the key card I had to come back because it didn't work and she didn't apologize for the inconvenience... not only that but I came back three times to fix the key card and not a single time was I apologized to! In fact, it was implied that it was my fault because the keys were magnetic but at the beginning the woman clearly said that she had made a mistake. There were stains on the carpet, no TV in the room, and additionally, there were no towels. When I called the front desk they told me I had to switch rooms to a smoking room because there was nothing else available so I simply asked for towels to be sent to the room and they never came because supposedly there was no staff that could bring them to me for 15 minutes. I waited an hour and a half and no towels ever came. No towels ever came during my stay. There were two gross and flat pillows on the entire kingbed and I wanted to ask for different pillows but the staff made me feel like such an inconvenience i didn't bother. How dare a hotel be so unaccommodating! How does it work that a guest can't even get towels!?
Scary
The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that it was clean. They chose to charge an additional fee illegally which I had to contact Travelocity to reverse. The front desk was pleasantly impossible to deal with. The breakfast could be considered non-existent. On our first morning Awakening we found two police cars and a motorcycle cop rating one of the rooms. The toilet look like it had been chewed on by four months by something. See photo attached. There are many other hotels in town I would not stay here under any circumstances again.
If rooms were as good as employees
First off I want to praise Jennifer at the front desk.. She was friendly, helpful and efficient... Also Summer the house keeper she helped get all the items we needed for room! The rooms... The tv is straight out of 1995 and only part of its remote worked. The wifi. I Finnally with Jennifer's help deciphered the instructions to log on.. But it seems it was " updating " in building 2 anyway for hours so used my own hot spot. The walls and i was in a smoking room.. But a coat of paint is needed As well as a total upgrade of bathrooms! Start with exhaust fans so that steam dissipates and mold. Wont be as prevalent Bathroom door is as old as tv i think And door moulding looked like they just painted over part that rotted Good points Mattresses were firm and confortable Walls are not paper thin and was quiet Had fridge And after asking got a microwave brought to room Again. Staff is superb here Too bad the higher ups Dont work on fixing up Pool was clean and clear Pool deck needs work again coat of paint would be plus And there are no bathrooms at pool you have to return to your room to go Or I hope that's what people do The free breakfast could use an upgrade as well but ok Dennys across parking lot if you want a real breakfast Over all I had good stay and would return Just hope some remodeling in future Just dont mess with staff They seem to know how to Make guests welcome This is all of them not just Ones I mentioned above
not what i wanted to see
I checked in and upon entering the bathroom to use the toilet I saw the pictures I have enclosed in this review. I decided to make my way to the front desk to inform them of how disgusted I was at this issue. But to my surprise they seemed very casual about the photos almost like it was comon place. I was also caught off guard that they seemed reluctant to come up with a solution. And as I pressed further they only offered me to move to another room. No apology, infact when I asked if they would give me some sort of discount they shrugged that off as well. I paid for 2 nights at a total of almost $120 and have felt as though there customer service is to them like a customer hassle. Beware
Very shabby and dark motel
The room was very dark and the general appearance was shabby. The TV was an old box type with all the channels. The wifi was ok, but the breakfast which was available at the reception and was very poor. I woudnt stay here again neither recommend others to go
Not so good
We stayed at this hotel for one night and we were so happy that we should not stay here for longer time. Although the rooms we got were nice and big, there was an awful lot of noice from the cars and big trucks all night long, so we just got a little sleep. When we first arrived the hotel, they could not find our reservations, and told us that they were full so they had no rooms for us. That was not a good thing to hear after driving for 10 hours. Fortunately we had booked through Booking.com, so the contacted them. Finally after waiting for more than 1 hour, they found the resevations and we got the rooms we had reserved. Tired and a little angry we went to eat at Dennys next door, much too tired to look for a better restaurant. Lost reservations and lots of truck / car noices = we will never stay here again.
Very dirty, wifi slow, standard breakfast
The check-in was fast and helpful. strange wifi system, you get an username for every device (and we had to enter this several times, because the connection failed). To open the door to the room, you need to put the door handle up - not down, it's a bit unconventional. The Room was spacious but very dirty! Found Hairs (on the carpet, on the coffee machine, on the hair dryer..) and Nails (on the carpet) and a popcorn in the information bag on the door. We got Shampoo and Soap and there is a (dirty) hair dryer. The bed is quite hard. The AC (we really needed) is VERY loud in the beginning. The Breakfast was ok for the price, the juice is hidden in the little fridge. And as always too much plastic waste for the breakfast (compared to European Standard) : (
Average motel
Average motel just off the freeway. My room was very large (corner room), clean and tidy with fridge and microwave. Included breakfast is ok, but they also have items to buy. Worked out fine for 1 night on my way to Vegas
Nice people, slow WiFi
While one might say this property has jumped the shark, it's an ok deal. Situated right on Interstate 40 on the north side of Andy Devine Dr, the property seems to be two older properties put together with a Denny's that they seem to operate in the middle. You won't find flat screen TVs here, at least not as of June, 2016, but rooms do have microwave ovens, fridge, hair dryers, setting it apart from the ever-present Motel 6 down the street. If you are a day sleeper like me, you can't check in until 7 AM and sleep until 3, unlike the M-6, where they allow you to check in at 5 AM and stay all night, a better deal from an hourly perspective. My Saturday night rate was $49, Apparently there is 20% tax charged here, making my total $59. Oh, and the WiFi, while it did work, is the world's slowest. You get Frontier DSL, which speedtest. net rated at.77 down,.44 up, less than 1 meg each way, 77us ping. You won't be watching any Netfilx on this hotel's internet, but that's okay, you have a 27 " Philips picture tube TV with 98 channels of local cable, including HBO and SyFi. Welcome to 1996. Knights Inns are Wyndam, so don't forget your Wyndham Rewards Points number to get frequent flyer stay credit.
Bang for your buck
I had a turn around trip for business and brought my family with me. Because of the price, I was able to get two rooms and EVERYONE slept like a baby. Even the bedding at the Hilton makes me break out so for me to wake up in one piece was great. The rooms are old, can't deny that. But they are CLEAN. Again, for less than $50 / room you get what you pay for. The staff was nice & polite. Even though it was included, I didn't take the " free breakfast " which is only a danish which you can buy at any gas station. Nice offer though. However, Denny's and Arby's is right next door and Sonic is across the street so that's where dined. It was quiet, but not eerily quiet like you could be murdered, peaceful. I think my clan might've made the most noise. If I stay there again, I'll probably get a non smoking room because the smell inside the rooms was a little overpowering. Running the A / C and opening the windows took that right out though. I couldn't really complain. Got my business done and didn't break the bank.
Buon prezzo
Great!
Was on my way back home. great place to stop. Location is right off the freeway. easy to find. Affordable prices. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a pleasant place to stay.
One Night
we had to change rooms three times, the price was outrageous and the service was not what it is supposed to be for a hotel. The rooms we kept getting were dirty, no coffee pots, and it was constantly loud. We will not be staying there again and I will make sure I don't recommend this hotel to anyone.
One night
Stayed for one night on our way to Las Vegas, the front desk was very friendly and helpful, the room while clean has old furniture that was difficult to operate and the TV was old and when turned on welcomed us from the Hilton in another city. The breakfast was okay
Rebecca Palecki
Checked in late, 10:15 pm. I am handicap. Made this known at check in. First room, second floor, no elevator, middle way between both stairwells. Second room, first floor, should have worked fine but No. Both queen bed were so old my back had spring marks in the morning. Worst night I've ever had to pay for and not sleep ! Day two, room number three, king bed that was OK. Not great by any means, but i did get a little sleep. The rooms have pretty out of date decor, this I don't have a problem with, it was very clean. The employees, especially Jenny, were all very nice and as helpful as could be. Truthfully, not sure if I would stay again or not. Definitely won't if the mattresses aren't replaced !!!
Not again
I did not have a nice stay, I know you get what you pay for and this place gives you exactly that. The Customer Service was good I can say that, the front desk people were friendly. But the whole place needs to be updated and cleaned up. They still have the old fat back tvs. The towels were hard and the bed was not that comfortable. The breakfast was a joke it was only cereal and fruit so disappointed. I'm not going to go on about it. But I will warn my fellow travelers. I will not be staying there again, and will not recommend you do either. Safe travels. Where's Wooster?
Not So Sure About This Motel
Hubby and I spent one night here and the next day I had bed bug bites all over my body. When this was brought to the attention of the Management (after we had checked out) they said they had checked the room and found nothing...... we did not spend the second night there. We were refunded our two nights, but I still would be cautious and double check all bedding before taking your suitcases inside. There were no suitcase stands either, so our luggage had to be on the floor where bugs could get into it. This is just a word of caution.
Inexpensive dog friendly hotel convenient to I-40
Stayed overnight with our dog. Room was plain but bed was comfortable enough. Dog rooms are at the back of the hotel, which is quieter. Convenient to Denny's which offer 10% off meal if you show a room key. Staff was friendly and helpful. Cannot beat the price.
Wifi werkte prima.
Only as a last resort
This place is a dump! Hair stuck to the shower wall, toilet seat was dirty, garbage under the sink to name a few... Dirty! wouldn't stay here again nor would I recommend it to anyone! Doesn't look like they even wipe anything down. Hair dryer mounted to the wall has dirty build up on it. The fan thing on the bathroom wall looks like it's never been cleaned, the wall around it is dirty as well
Excellent value for money
We travelled a lot in USA and stayed at a lot of motels. This is exactly what we were looking for. Good clean, comfortable accomodation at a reasonable price. Air cond worked well, wifi worked well, bathroom was clean. Places to eat and drink was close by. Fantastic and would definitely recommend and stay again.
Nice
I was hesitant to reserve a room at Knights Inn as many of them are falling into disrepair. After reading other TripAdvisor reviews I decided to take the plunge. Happy I did. The hotel is, in fact, an older property but it is quite well maintained. Very convenient to I-40. Not much to offer for breakfast. Denny's next door and fast food restaurants nearby. Would not hesitate to stay there again.
Buon compresso
Provides what you should expect at the pricepoint
I spent the night in the Knights Inn on a roadtrip stop in Kingman. A lot of the motels in Kingman are priced a little high IMO - probably because it offers the only options for miles. This place was priced right and provided what I needed / expected. A roof, an AC that cooled the room and didn't kick on and off all night, a toilet, a shower, a fridge, and a TV. The wifi worked but was very slow. The room was clean and I got a good night's sleep. I wasn't disappointed given the price.
Doorreis Grand Canyon
So much for privacy
We stayed at the Knights Inn on Andy Devine for two days. My only real complaint is housekeeping. I've always thought putting the " do not disturb " sign on the door meant Do Not Disturb! No, in Kingman it means : knock, say housekeeping and walk on in! Completely rude. When I told her we didn't need anything she just stood in the door way like a creeper. She didn't even apologize. I know it's not the nicest hotel on the street but i at least expected some privacy. While I'm on here, we couldn't find an ice machine. The breakfast was cereal, milk and a banana or apple. Coffee, no creamer. Yes, it's a cheap hotel. But so are all the other ones on Andy Devine. You can do better.
No Frills -- Does the job
My wife and I have a policy of not paying more than $100 for a hotel room when taking road trips. The reason: we don't lounge by the pool or otherwise use the facilities. We sleep and get on with our sightseeing, traveling etc. Our room was about $80. The room was clean. Like many hotels under $100, the mattress was firm, but comfortable. This hotel offers no frills. It caters to passsers by because no one really wants to spend a knight in Kingman. Out of necessity we had dinner at Pizza Hut, which was walking distance.
Good night at Knight's Inn
Although the property is older, the rooms were in good condition. They accepted our pet (we don't travel without her) for a one time charge of $10. The property is right off of I-40, but you wouldn't know it by the noise level. We've stayed here a number of times and the staff has always been very kind and they know the area very well. The price was very manageable.
Definitely A Trucker's Stop
This is a trucker's motel as it is right on Hwy 40, and trucks are going up and down Andy Devine Ave. day and night. It is worn and under-kept. The grounds are a mess. We were assigned a room that turned out to be a storage room. The second trip to the office and we got a smoking room when we had asked for a non-smoking room. The third room was not what we had asked for originally, but they gave us the lower price since the other rooms were by now all taken. It is cheaper than most, and that's what you get--cheap.
Ideal motel, ideal for stop over
This is a very large motel, situated in a good location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic but clean. Good amount of restaurants around for eating and local shops. Would recommend
Decent overnight stay
We stayed at this hotel and had a very positive experience. We were greeted by Jenny on the evening shift. Jenny was very nice and accomodating to our requests. I asked for a quiet room upstairs. When I noticed we were next to the freeway I wasn't too sure it would be very quiet, but it was! This is not an upscale hotel, but it was reasonably priced, clean, quiet and comfortable. there may be rooms that aren't so great, but ours was fine. The breakfast wasn't anything to write home about, but most continental breakfasts aren't, cereal and coffee which was good. Eat at adjoining restaurant for a full breakfast.
This is a Motel not Hotel
We were transiting through Kingman looking for budget stay. According to reviews we had much higher expectations. We got room just next to the freeway. It was very very noisy. The room was clean but old. They have free WiFi but as we found out we were able to connect one device at a time only. Continental breakfast means Danish and coffee. This motel wasn't expensive and we got what we paid for. We are heading Kingman again but this time we will better pay more for Best Western.
Disgusting
This is the most disgusting room I've ever stayed in, by far. Blood stains on the carpet, mold in the bathroom, rust in the shower. Old disgusting comforters from the 70's, probably came with the mattresses, furniture, and TV from the same era. I wouldn't even let my mother in law stay here. You can't expect much for $50 a night, but with the condition this room is in (418), they would be better off charging by the hour. If God were to give the world an enema, this is where he would stick the hose.
Hotel normal
Comfy
Nice big king sized bed, fairly clean room. Good price. Close by to a lot of dining options. We got in kind of late, but if we were to be passing thru there again I would definitely choose to stay again. One down side is the wifi. I like to be able to connect on my phone, And my computer. I check basic stuff on my phone, but be able to type on my computer. They did give us 2 codes (one for each of us) but you can only run one device per code.
Knights Inn Kingman
Stayed New Years eve 2014. They had a very harsh 75 year winter storm, " 2 inches of snow ". All the rooms were full but they don't have enough internet passes for the hotel so no internet available. Denny's restaurant right beside hotel and gas stations across street so was very convenient. Rooms dated but adequate for our needs that night. Has back bar type refrigerator in room so able to keep supplies at proper temp. Would stay again.
Just Perfect
After travelling the U. S from coast to coast and experiencing many different hotels, motels, inns, campgrounds, parks etc I have to say that Knights Inn in Kingman is one of if not the best stays we've ever had! I was a Choice Privelage Rewards Platinum Member with another major chain and tried to use their hotels as often as possible and I must say that the accomodations, and value of Knights Inn as just a regular visitor is superior to most all of Choice Hotels we did stay at. Now if you're looking for the Waldorf-Astoria this isn't it, however if you're looking for a clean well kept quiet room with a very friendly and helpful staff that offers an exceptional value than I must say that Knights Inn should be your primary choice. Kudos to Bernice (Mgr) and Wyndham Corp for making this facility worth writing about, Mike & Sue Moreau
Very helpful, good experience
Took a group of 20 soccer players to the Knights Inn last weekend. The staff was very helpful, rooms were clean and the price was right. Fast food and gas right across the street. I would stay at this motel again.
Standard economy motel
This was the cheapest motel on our road trip and looked pretty much the same as all of the other budget motels that we stayed in. I found it to be clean and the bed was comfortable enough. There are quite a few negative reviews on TA about this motel which I can't really understand: the furniture was old, the TV wasn't flat screen and there was no coffee maker or hair dryer but if you are expecting all of thee things, then I guess you should go somewhere else and pay twice the price!
Slightly better than bare bones
Spent one night here on a cross country trip. The hotel is an older property but in fairly decent shape. Our room was large and clean. The king size bed was comfortable but slightly lumpy. There was a microwave, refrigerator and TV. There was no hairdryer or coffee maker. We reported a slight water leak coming from the bathroom. The girl that checked us in was very businesslike. The continental breakfast is limited to cereal, pastries, fruit, juice and coffee / tea. The hotel was OK but we won't be staying at a Knight's Inn again.
Gross stains and bad smell
The room was cheap so I didn't have high expectations but I was awfully surprised. The room smelled even though it was no smoking room. The bed covers were stained we used our own blankets and slept on top. The motel was old the walls were crumbling apart that cannot be safe. Homeless people walking around the parking lot late at night seems likely cars get broken into.
OK, but a bit deceptive
Checked in to a nice building that was very attractive. When we were given our room, it was around back in another building, back where all of the local workers stay. I had reserved a King size bed but we were given two queens. As soon as we opened the door to our non-smoking room, we could smell the smoke in it. Curtains and bedspreads reeked of smoke. I called the office and they didn't offer another room, only sent housekeeping around with a can of room deodorizer. That only lasted for a few minutes. Room was OK but my wife said the bed was too hard. Didn't try their breakfast as it was two buildings away. Located right by freeway and on-ramp.
Worth Going Back
I've stayed at this Knight's Inn about 10 times in the last 4 years and this past week was little different. It is convenient to Stockton Hill Road and I ALWAYS fill up at the Flying J across the street where I paid $2.90 for gas this week. You get a micro, frig and an old TV but you can also get a good sleep.. even with the trains.
11 years on my trips there
I picked this place 11 years ago, and have stayed there every year since. I find it to be very quiet, with easy access to major highways. Staff is very nice. Try this place. I think you will like it. Thanks
Clean, basic, comfortable, good value
Special recognition for the cleanliness of the room. For a " budget " (low cost) motel the furnishings were basic and the bathroom was CLEAN. We wanted a clean, safe, and comfortable stopover at a budget price. Basic breakfast, no frills. That is exactly what we got. Owners should be proud.
Great place to pull off and get a nights sleep
We stayed at this Hotel 20 Sept 2014 and the room was clean and pool was clean. Nice place to pull off the road and get a nights sleep. No complaints with price or room... They also have a free breakfast in the lobby in the morning or 10% off at Denny's next door.
Your Review Nice staff, rooms are good, location is.
Your Review Nice staff, rooms are good, location is convenient, (right off I 40). Also has a Dennys right next to it.
room was decent, lot of activity in hotel, parking was.
room was decent, lot of activity in hotel, parking was cluttered with debris water fountain overflowing onto floor in lobby, electrical cord in water
Pleasantly Surprised
Yes, that is correct. The room was clean, large and comfortable. The front desk staff made me feel very welcome. Not at all what I expected and I am glad I was wrong.
One of the best Knights Inn
Have stayed at 2 Knights Inn and said I would never stay at one again. This was listed under a different name and didn't know it was a Knights Inn until we got there. They say 3rd times a charm and it was. The room was very comfortable and clean not like the other ones I've been in.
A Great Value for the Money
This is a very economical hotel. The furnishings are not that great, but for a budget hotel that charges less than $50 a night this hotel is a great deal. The room was very clean and quiet. If you are looking for a clean and quiet place to sleep for a small amount of money, this is your hotel. My room did not have a microwave or refrigerator. Some of the rooms do have these things. Make sure to ask in advance if you want those things in your room. Also, the second floor is only accessible by a stairwell.
Gross!
I should have walked away when I was greeted by a tobacco spitting desk clerk. He spat his chew into a cup as he checked us in. The room was dirty! The carpet did not even reach to the door showing the concrete and inches of dirt. The bathroom was so dirty that I did not even want to use the shower! The beds were hard and everything was very out dated!! The complimentary breakfast was a joke!!!!! Fruit that should have been thrown away days ago, warm milk for the cereal! There were men there that appeared to be regulars. FOUL MOUTHED PERVERTS!!! I was disgusted and got my kids out of there as soon as I could!
Better than I thought
I've passed by the Knights Inn as I exit Interstate 40 dozens of times, and thought that it must be difficult to sleep with the cars and trucks going by. I was wrong. The inn is much larger than I had thought, and only a few rooms are close to the freeway exit. Our room was quieter than the other hotels / motels I've stayed in down the street. The room was large, nice and clean, and while the bathroom could have been larger, everything worked. The continental breakfast wasn't much, but at least they had coffee and a danish. And they were pet friendly, and our border collie stayed for only $10.00.
Great Hotel!
Excellent night at Best Western. Stay at Best Western somewhat regularly when I travel, and I can't say I ever remember finding a bad one. Knight's Inn was no exception. The room was nice and big, with a couch and chair, along with a desk and office chair, in a separate area from the beds. Beds and pillows were nice and soft, and check-in / out was a breeze. The complimentary hot breakfast was delicious, and the hash browns were a nice addition. 42 " TV with DirecTV was great. The entire stay was really nice. Would certainly stay there again. Okay... these next few things are an absolute nitpick. Make no mistake, this hotel was phenomenal. 1) Internet was fairly slow. Basically unusable at one point, but only for a few minutes, during what I'm guessing was around the peak usage time (9-10pm or so). Faster Internet would be great. 2) The hotel is really close to the train tracks. No whistles or such, but you can definitely hear the rumble of trains coming by. Didn't happen often and didn't bother me in the slightest. I actually think it's relaxing to hear the trains, whistles and all. But if something like the rumble would bother you, you might consider a room closer to the lobby. Not sure if that will help, but never heard any when I was in the lobby or eating breakfast (next to the lobby). 3) Decorate the palm trees!!! :D :D You have some beautiful palm trees around the hotel. Light them up! Would be beautiful at night. Again... phenomenal hotel, and right up there with the nicest Best Westerns I've ever stayed in. Great job!
Very Nice
I really liked this place and will stay there again if I am ever in the area. The price of the room was comperable to others and it was a nice place. The room was clean and large. The bathroom was nice, and there was lots of space to put my things. There was a mini microwave and fridge in our room. The bed was king size which I liked and the decor was decent. The pool was a decent size and there was a Denny's next door.
Could use a pool, but restful
Can't hardly beat the price ($40), the room was large, clean, has a much-needed refrigerator for the desert. Right next to I40, but with the a / c on one can't hardly hear it. Chain fast food, but if you wander into town there's a good Thai restaurant.
Sold Out Town, Hand no option
We got caught in a blizzard and had to find a place to stay at 4:00 am. Room is very very basic, would only stay here again in an emergency. Town was sold out, slept 5 hours and was out the door by 9:35 am stopped by desk for a pastry and drink for the road, was all put away 5 min earlier and no offer to grab me a quick anything. This place is only better then sleeping in your car in a blizzard otherwise skip it!!
never will we stay here again windows don't lock and Meth Heads all around Hotel and the Staff Sucks!!
I guess you get what you pay for. The carpet is so nasty the showers are old and so is the furniture dead bugs in the corner of the beds> would not recommened
Nice to Rest your Head
Hotel was nice and clean. King size beds, lots of room to put your things. TV and refrigerator along with a table. They have a denny's on property along with other fast food places which made it nice. I will stay here again.
Don't take shower without shoes!!!!
Lobby was very nice. Evening night clerk was nice and accommodating. That's where it stops. Beds comfortable. Bathroom was nasty. The tub mad sink had not been cleaned. 4 people 2 towels. Would not stay again.
Very nice stay
I travel all over the world doing comedy hypnosis shows. The staff here (front desk and housekeeping) was extremely friendly and accommodating. Bernice, the manager, does everything in her power to make your stay enjoyable. That trickles down to the rest of the staff. The hotel lobby, breakfast area, lobby rest room and my room were very clean and well maintained. The water was hot. The sink and tub drained properly. The room was good sized, had good lighting and there was a desk to work on. The hotel and staff was very quiet. It was walking distance to everything. The newly added breakfast offered fresh fruit, cold cereal, pastries, etc. A super value for the money. I will stay there on my next trip to Kingman, AZ.
clean, quiet, friendly
chris was great help making our reservation and checking us in. room was very clean, cozy comfy bedding, good breakfast, good stay.
this place has roaches
We attempted to stay here for the night. We found roaches in our adjoining room. We demanded our money back but only got money for the room with the roaches. I got half off the second room because we had checked in early. They stated " since nothing was wrong with the adjoining room they wouldn't offer a refund ". Mind you these were adjoining rooms with an open door between the two. We left and stayed in the much cleaner and roach-free hotel Days Inn only a blocks away. DO NOT STAY HERE.
Disgusting and poor customer service
The room was disgusting and smelly. When I checked in, I was informed that I would have to pay a $400 deposit (which was not mentioned when I made the reservations). Thats nice to find out when you've driven hundreds of miles thinking you're reserved and taken care of. The entire room with its contents wouldnt even be worth $400. You'd think they'd atleast clean the room properly for that. I ended up checking out and going to another hotel. The hotel desk lady was also extremely rude and racist. Sad to say, but the Motel 6 was much nicer and cheaper... That says something.
Very Poor Don't Bother
After booking a no smoking room online we turned up and our room reeked of smoke. After complaining reception offered various ways of removing the smell and it wasn't until we asked for a refund that they offered another room but we had enough at that point. Instead we went next door to travelodge and got a perfect room, helpful service for $10 less!!!
decent clean stay
We are house hunting in the area and had stayed at another hotel previous to this trip. We tried Knights inn even though it was cheaper, it was so much cleaner (you can smell bleach on the sheets and towels) Easy access to everywhere in town, the denneys is nice to eat at, the small breakfast is great while traveling. will stay there again, if needed in the future.
Impressed
This was my first time staying at a Kinghts Inn on my way to visit family. I just needed about 5 or 6 hours sleep so I could go on my way. It worked like a charm and Denny's gives you 10% off your bill when you stay. Would stay again for sure. Price was fine.
I had read some reviews that I did not like, a little.
I had read some reviews that I did not like, a little skeptical about staying. The room was fine, service was great. We will stay again.
nice place
I arrived about 4 in the morning and the front desk was awake and right there did not have to ring a bell and wait for someone to wake and then talk to thru a window or something which was GREAT. They were very nice, helpful and explained everything to me. The room was BIG, bed comfortable, the bathroom was just as nice. I woke the next morning late and missed their breakfast serving time, but the lady told me I could go next door to Denny's and show them my key and get 10 percent off my ticket, which was nice. When I checked out the staff was just as friendly to me as when I checked in, one lady passing me as she was checking something there wished me a safe trip. Which I thought was very nice. The only problem which the hotel can not help was the trains coming and making noise. I would stay here again
Clean and neat
If you are looking for a nice place for cheap, this is the place I would go. Our room 301, was very big, with a fridge, microwave, and a big bathroom area. It was very clean and tidy. Quiet nice to relax in after all our travels to the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas.
Good deal
Large room with fridge and microwave. Large dressing area with sink outside of toilet and shower area. Older furniture; but plenty of it. Really nice staff. No clock, or coffee pot. Lousy towels and pillows. Older T. V. but losts of channels and a sleep button.
Satisfactory at the price
We needed a reasonably priced hotel for a stop on way to Las Vegas and this fit the bill. Basic and clean. Denny's, however, the only close-by diner, but 10% discount with room key. Heating worked well with 25 degrees overnight.
Good Value
We came through during off-season and stayed one night. Price was very reasonable and accommodations were fine for a budget motel. Seemed clean and the employees were courteous and helpful. Breakfast was minimal so we just had coffee and went on our way to Vegas.
Stay was good for the price
Our room was clean and large. It was close to the road so we could hear traffic noise. This is typical for this price of motel. If I was coming back to this area I would stay here again. The manager on duty, was fantastic and fun. Breakfast in the morning was typical continental.
Terrible
arrived at night. Was not advised that the Silver Queen Inn was the same as Knights Inn just a small sign underneath. The Lobby was dirty. Rooms were also dirty. Old furniture and TV. Not a pleasant stay. Would not recommend to friends.
Not American owned horrible do not stay here
My husband had to find a place for us to stay right after my grandmothers funeral yesterday 5 / 7 / 12 he pulled in here and asked about a room in a quiet spot on the lower floor, I was not feeling well and could not make the trip home so we needed a place for the night. the rooms are nasty, outdated falling apart. They put us on the far back building even though the place looked empty. We found out later this was where local people rent the rooms to live by the week, there were people working on cars in the parking lot, going in and out all night, talking loudly outside, etc. Then my husband went out to the pool with our kids, he saw a man with a pool filter who asked if he was going to the pool, my husband said yes, the man acted irritated and said great very sarcastically. My husband said he was very very rude, front desk also rude, my husband had to call three times to the front desk due to noise in the parking lot. We will never stay here again. Its a shame the property has potential.
Everyone who works here is RUDE
Silver Queen Inn (Knights Inn) in Kingman, Az. So far every person here has been rude to us at least once. The front desk clerk made a joke of not having a luggage cart for us to carry all our stuff across a huge lot to the back building, the girl who drove us here seemed angry to be driving us in the shuttle, and wouldn't give us a lift to the back lot with our stuff. Then later when she was explaining to me how to log in to the extremely complicated wifi, she kept telling me I couldn't use my browser but was required to use Internet Explorer (what she meant was windows explorer not internet). After finally getting logged in to the wifi I opened Chrome and showed her that it was possible. We had to ask four times for towels. There is ZERO security here and the windows won't lock, the room was pretty run down, not exactly clean. We were going to use the washer & dryer at the hotel to do our laundry while there, and after putting the money in the washer wouldn't run with clothes in it, only if it's empty. After I told the desk clerk about it she called a guy to fix it who never came. I waited outside in the Arizona heat for half an hour, no one came. After I walked back up to the desk she returned my $1.25 and suggested I use the hotel next door's laundry. I'm thinking we would have been better off at that hotel all together! The pool was full of bugs, and there were beer bottles all over the place. After I did my laundry at the TravelLogde's laundry facility (thankfully open to the public) my boyfriend & I were walking back through and stopped to chat with another couple who work for our company in the lobby and a new person was working at the desk, my boyfriend asked about the earlier issue of not getting a ride to our area of the complex and we were told that they don't provide shuttle service to the rooms only the lobby. She was really snotty about it and I said, If I had said I was handicapped (which I actually am, but rarely use it as an excuse to get anything) would she have given me a ride. She said no, I said well, then you would have to offer me a closer room, she said no, they are only required to provide handicapped rooms and there are permanent residents in those rooms. I'm pretty sure that's inaccurate, I'll be calling the state about that tomorrow. The beds are hard, the bathroom needs remodeling and the staff needs training in customer service.
Clean room
Arrived late and was given a room straight away. Rooms were clean and spacious. We were very tired that night and just crashed out!
