Humongous Beer Brewery

This is something special. The brewery is no doubt an attraction in Phnom Penh with a nice Spark discotheque located next to it, The food is awesome and the beer is smooth. There is live show that is worth watching too. Try it out.... you won't regret it.

SpArK It

Nice live entertainment, birthday surprises and lucky draw. Food is acceptable and the beer is good, however it's venue is smaller compared to Bangkok of course.

Don't Get Misled by Microbrewery tag

The beers were not great compared to what you can get at Kingdom or Himawari. Seems popular with locals. Language issue with servers. No concept of vegetarian food as no-fish-no-meat som tam came with shrimp. Industrial cooking to cater large groups. Would not recommend specially for vegetarians.

Relaxing, suffering a few beers and excellent choice of food

Basically a food market in the middle of town, allowing each to make his / her choice of foods from different asian cuisines, while enjoying relaxing conversation and refreshing beers. Excellent venue to informally have a good time with colleagues, family and / or friends.

Good Beer, Food and Atmosphere

I have come here several times with my friends. There is an outdoor beer garden, but I enjoy being inside better where there is a live show. The hefeweizen beer is very good (I drank a ton and felt awesome the next morning). Inside it has the appearance of a town square in Europe. If you go here, I recommend you get one of their promotions (plate of beef or pork with the large jug of beer). The only thing that is annoying about this place is that they give away " gift vouchers " in their lucky drawings, but then when you try to redeem them they try to play games like it can only be used on foods purchased at full price and not the specials (even though voucher in the West normally means same as cash).

Fun for the whole family

Great beer, and entertainment for adults and kids. It's a fun place to do something you'd never do unless you lived in Phnom Penh or Bangkok. We were the only table of non-westerners. Worth a visit at the very least for drinks. Entertainment performs from 7p - midnight. We went after dinner elsewhere and had a blast listening to the acts.

Great stage show

After spending an enjoyable evening at the Tawandang in Bangkok several weeks ago, I decided to take the family to the Tawandang in Phnom Penh during our vacation there. We thoroughly enjoyed the stage show, atmosphere, food and beer here. Our 2 young children were captivated by the singers and dancers, and enjoyed the attention they received from the staff. They also enjoyed the food we ordered for them. There were also other families dining at Tawandang. The place was very busy on the night of our visit but there were only 2 tables of westerners there, with most customers being either Cambodian or Thai. We ordered the Pork Knuckle, which due to some special promotion came with a 3L tower of beer brewed at the Tawandang, and ordered a range of other Thai dishes to share. The food was more expensive than most places we had dined in Phnom Penh but I think this is justified by the great entertainment provided free of charge. There was a constant flow of singers and dancers singing songs in English and Khmer, in a wide range of different styles. The servers were very attentive and super friendly. We really enjoyed our visit here and would highly recommend it as " something different " to do while in Phnom Penh.

German Beer Hall & Live Shows

Three of us went to Spark & Tawandang Microbrewery and show hall arriving at 6PM which was about an hour too early. At 7PM that night the shows started with fine vocal performances by 2 different lady singers and a professional backup band. They make 3 different styles of beer, a Pilsner, Weizen (wheat beer), and a Dunkel and all were good but we all liked the Weizen best. Service is outstanding. The sausage plate we had was very good as well. They have different sizes of beer mugs and I would recommend starting with the smallest mugs. Wonderful place to take a family or your kids. No other place like it in Cambodia that I am know. IT is between St. 167 & St 163 on Monivong Blvd. which is a long street.

Very fun

Recommended for all types of tourists, even the locals love this place. They perform western hits as well as traditional Cambodian songs and they are very entertaining. Good for a night out with some beer and food! They had competitions throughout the night, I won the beer drinking competition and was rewarded with a beer tower! Good times indeed.

Truly entertaining restaurant

We came here twice and always got drunk ooopsss. Firstly it's in the entertainment center so it's really a big big restaurant. Second there are many great local performances like dancing or singing from 8pm-11pm. All of staff will serve your food & drink as well as create a group to dance with customer for live musics. It's really a fun place to bring your family or friends to join with all of lovely Khmer staff. The food is ok but they have selection of German beers. Also drinking competition to win a free tower of beer is a good prize. I will definitely come back.

Anniversary dinner

It was our first time at this restaurant. We were celebrating our 5th anniversary. Every bit of the food, from the appetizer to dessert, was awesome. The pork knuckle is the best in the area! Our wonderful waitress, was friendly and on point with her suggestions. We will definitely visit again.

The audience was too quiet

I've been several times in Bangkok's. Expected this one the same way in their performance and atmosphere. Often many tables were family dinner with a birthday party, which is lovely to see and the staff were entertaining with candles, songs, etc. When it came for performance, the customers were so quiet no one dancing. When only the customers danced were with the common Khmer music where typically danced in round circle Khmer style country dancing in a way that seen in a wedding party. Most importantly the beers were great! Always worth going for it.

Micro brewed beer and a very good pork knuckle

Nice open spaces, good car parking and nice service. I go for some of the good beers and the pork knuckle. Overall the food is not bad and they have nightly shows. I would return for the beers and pork knuckle. Its also a good place to bring visitors to phnom penh who wants to do the tourist thing.

Almost a must visit for couples or family nightlife in PP

New and huge place that serves Thai food (focused mainly on bar food) and German beer that they brew on premise. The food and beer was fine, and up to Western (or Thai) standards, but what really set this place apart was the entertainment. They had a whole show lined up for hours, and we visited during a few days after Chinese New Year so they had a whole CNY theme going on too, but their regular stage production shows are quite nice. The shows are usually a mixture of Western pop, and Khmer / Thai / Chinese pop favorites. Very reasonable prices as well, and numerous promotions like a lucky drawing that netted us a 500ml beer of our choice. Cool place to observe the locals, obviously of the higher class in PP as the front was full of nice cars. It was really cool to see the employees (waiters and servers) really get into the show as well and starts dancing along to the tunes. There's a dance floor as well and its funny seeing all the old uncles really get into the dancing.

Unique dining experience in Phnom Penh

We were recently at Spark with a group of friends for a late-ish dinner, and were pleasantly surprised. I'd never been too impressed with the old Spark back when it was a nightclub, but the new version has done up nicely inside. Staff are attentive and friendly, and food is great-tasting at reasonable prices. The Tawangdang beers are quite good, even though I don't normally enjoy beer all that much. Added is the bonus of a song-and-dance performance that goes right up to closing time (midnight), featuring mostly khmer and thai music, but also with the odd English tune thrown into the mix. Total bill came to about $90 including drinks for our party of 5, which was more than reasonable by my book. Highly recommended, and we'll certainly be back again.

An evening with great food, beer and entertainment

The restaurant offers a unique dinner experience with live performance - singing and dancing starting from 7 pm. My reserved table was right in front of the stage but I would prefer an overview of the place, which I later shifted to a balcony table on the 2nd level. We enjoyed the performance (including Khmer, English, Chinese and Thai songs sung by a few singers, and dance performances) very much. The menu offers a fusion of Thai and German food, ranging from Tom yum soup to pork knuckle and sausages. The Thai dishes are delicious. Their own microbrewery produces very good beer. The restaurant is huge with ample parking lots. It's a family friendly restaurant and the staff is very attentive. There are private rooms available for diners too.
