Good Food, Needs a Deep Clean
Stopped for dinner during the holiday. Service was quick and food was good. Restaurant was pretty dirty and could use a good cleaning. The bathroom floor drain was splashing when the toilet was flushed leaving a dirty / unsanitary situation.
Decent Food / Decent Cost
Stopped here for breakfast with wife and daughters. Location had other diners there when we arrived, but the place wasn't very busy at the time. We were greeted and seated upon entry. Waitress was quick to take our drink orders as we reviewed the menu. Not a wide variety of options on the menu, but they have the standard selection of breakfast options that you'd expect from a Waffle House. Food was prepared and delivered in a timely fashion, but it didn't seem like the cook (s) had any other pending orders at that time. Meals were decent if not overly impressive. The eggs and bacon were pretty good, and the waffles were enjoyable. Prices weren't cheap but were reasonable and affordable. You aren't getting fancy dishes or huge portions, but you're not paying a lot for what you are getting.

Might be my best visit ever. The staff were really friendly and the food was really good here. The bathrooms were very nice and modern. I was pleasantly surprised for sure! I plan on going back when passing through again. I usually stop at Waffle House because I like their coffee. They were cleaning while I was there and boy were they doing it right with bleach etc.
Breakfast Anytime
Convenient and just off Interstate 40. I like breakfast and it's nice to know it's 24 / 7 time at the House. The build-your-own style of selections is a nice touch for this chain... very courteous employees here!!!
Ok
Ok so I've been to quite a few waffle house restaurants over the last few years, it's kinda a go to place for a good cheap breakfast meal, but when did it become more expensive? Miss the $5 menu, please bring that back.
Great Country Cook'n
We always make it a point to eat here when in Crossville. It's one of the few places where you can still get real country ham, and I love the pecan waffles!
Unwelcoming Waffle House
Generally I stop at Waffle House because no matter what time or day I go I get a warm welcome, quick service, and a good, simple meal. The food was good, but the service left a lot to be desired. I was ignored for about 5 minutes and then when noticed, no apology for the delay. No one seemed in a hurry to do much at all. Avoiding this Waffle House in the future. Plenty of other Waffle Houses on I-40 West.
Family Breakfast
Went for breakfast and it was great. The service was fast, friendly and all the coffee you want. The breakfast menu was large enough for a family of 4 to find something to eat and all enjoy. Thank you

Good for a quick meal. It's a Waffle House, you get minimal food, eggs, a couple of burger choices and hash browns. Good service and good prices.

Just really good food at a fair price, and the chicken melt with hash browns, smothered and covered is a good choice
If you are hungry don't bother
We visited waffle house this evening we ordered our food, my husband got his meal, steak and eggs, I ordered scrambled eggs bacon, and grits, after an hour I still didn't have my food but the 9 people that came in after us were served. The waitress kept saying he is cooking it now, just a couple so seconds... but I never got my food, Finally I said just forget it. She had the audacity to say " I didn't charge you for your meal " GOOD THING BECAUSE I NEVER GOT IT. I paid for my husbands steak and eggs and my food was still not on the grill,
Great food and people
After leaving another restaurant because we could not get served, we ended up here. Greeted as we walked in the door. Fast friendly service and good food. Our server was cheerful even though I heard her tell someone she had been there for 15 hours. Only issue was that the hand dryer was broken in the restroom.
Newly remodeled store, same horrible servers pouring old coffee
This locations was closed for remodeling for 4 or 5 months. I was excited to see a new, brighter, and larger store. However, the same miserable servers are still there. These folks must hate their jobs because none of them act like they enjoy serving customers. Don't ask for fresh coffee because all you will get is whatever is in the pot, no matter how long it has been brewed. Instead of making fresh, they will wander all over the store looking for any coffee still in the pot. The food is bland and greasy. The servers cannot communicate with each other and seem not to get along. Cleaning must not be in their job description at this location. The only food service I could compare with this group is the prison cafeteria.
Crowded for a Reason!
Caring staff serving great Waffle House menu items. Fast and furious as the place was packed. Listening to the waitresses call the orders and the cooks turn ingredients into magic on plates was half the fun! The attentive waitress learned we were celebrating our wedding anniversary on the day of our visit and we left she said happy anniversary - and then rest of the crew turned and repeated the well wish - these people are AWESOME!!!
Brand New Restaurant, Same Old Sloppy Service and Environment
This waffle house was just totally rebuilt with new equipment, a little larger, and re-opening on 9 / 11 / 2017. However, not much has improved. The general cleanliness (floor, etc) was sub-standard. Our table and bench had not been properly cleaned and had to be re-cleaned before using. There were fly-type bugs flying around, congregating on the windows, and often landing in the coffee and onto the food. The servers YELLED out your order to the cooks like they were screaming at a football game. The collected dishes from the bussing employees were banged together so loudly that it was a wonder they all didn't break. The juke box music was so loud and obnoxious that eating was uncomfortable. We had to get up and approach the server staff to get a refill on coffee. The " new " waffle is about 1 / 2 the size of the formerly served waffles, with the same or slightly higher charge. We waited an excessive amount of time to be served and waited an excessive amount of time to even pay the bill wherein no one was attending the checkout register. A brand new building, brand new equipment..... same old sloppy ways. Much improvement is needed.
New Building But Same Horrible Staff
We have been waiting for this new Waffle House to open, hoping it would be nicer. However, this WH has only been open for five days and already the restaurant is dirty. There were little gnats flying around and one landed in my coffee. Same staff, which is not good; still slamming the dishes around and playing loud music. Our waitress took her good old time to take our order and return with our drinks. My eggs were cold and runny and my husband's waffle was cold. We had to ask for syrup and jelly; which should have been provided when the food was delivered to our table. Also, our waitress did not come back to see if everything was ok or if we needed a refill on our coffee. It is a shame that WH Corporate spent so much money to rebuild; there is no real improvement to make us want to come back. Ugh!

Service was great and the food fast and Hot. Great food, price was very reasonable. Good place for a bite to eat any time.
I LOVE WAFFLE HOUSE!
So if you've been to one Waffle House, you've basically been to all of them. I really love Waffle House. There isn't one anywhere near where I live, so I welcome the opportunity to stop in (but only one time per vacation!). They are efficient. The food is good, done to order. You just can't go wrong with Waffle House.
Late night dinner as everywhere else was closed
Dinner was fine - as expected. Nothing special. worked in a pinch as all other area restaurants had closed or were closing.
Always Good
You know what you are getting when you go to a Waffle House. If you want breakfast, it is always very good. They are always busy but always get to you quickly.
Disappointed
Stopped here for breakfast on a trip from East Tennessee the restaurant wasn't busy on arrival only about 3 booths. The two of us ordered the All star breakfast and it must have already been prepared because everything was cold or burnt. The bacon was burnt so bad it was black. The eggs were as though they were dumped on the grill and never stirred. I had a total of three bites of eggs on my plate when it is supposed to be two eggs. The waffle was so cold the butter would not melt. Our table was dirty and overall the whole place seemed nasty. Our waitress seemed to avoid us after putting our food on the table. When checking out, the waitress never even ask how was everything I guess because she already knew! I can not recommend this Waffle House to anyone. Way over priced for the quality and quantity of food provided. Drive a few miles on down the road there a a few more to choose from.
Waffle House, Eh !
Stopped in on a Roadtrip for Breakfast. I was Waited On Quickly and Total Service Experience was Friendly and Attentive. My Breakfast was Just Right, Tasty, and Cheap. Great Job Waffle House !

I always love it when I see a Waffle House. Waitresses are usually friendly and efficient. I love their pecan waffles!!!
I thought WH was a bkfst place.
My second attempt at Waffle House this year. Once again this chain can't get the grits right - served cold! I don't get it..... it's not that difficult. This place was filthy... esp the bathroom. I don't know what's happened to this iconic American institution.... but I'm dropping it from my list.
Smelled awful and looked dirty
Went inside to have dinner and noticed how dirty the Windows was. Walked to a booth and before I could sit down this horrible smell like a dead rat about knocked me down! I turned around and walked out!
It's Waffle House people
Sure some are better than others. This one was good. Both food and service. All the standard fare you would expect from Waffle House.
Pleasantly surprised
My hubby and I enjoyed a surprisingly yummy meal at this Waffle House. Our breakfast was pretty much perfect! The waitress was sweet and attentive and we truly enjoyed our visit!

Food was great and service was great!! Nice that it is right by the hotel. Not crowded and good people.
Grandkids loved it
Was fine for grown ups too. Very nice wait staff who showed interest in kids and engaged them in conversation. Good coffee and waffles.

Eaten here 2x, both times food and service just fine. Second visit disappointing because they were completely out of pie.
Waffle House for great breakfast with Sissy and staff
Well what can we say, all very good and positive. We called for breakfast (we didn't know Waffle House did breakfast) and our breakfast was tasty. served quickly, efficiently and friendly by Sissy and all the staff here in Crossville. Excellent Short Order Cook
A Waffle House can only be as good as the person at the grill and this one was excellent! I've never had a better Eggs n' Cheese (and that is my standard order when traveling on road trips), the bacon was the best ever, and the hash browns superb. A real treat all around. Friendly and efficient servers, too. Can't be beat.

Not the best
Stopped on the way back from East Tennessee. Was pretty busy but no excuse for cold food. Everything we got was cold and a long wait after being seated. Then didn't bring everything. Have stopped here before and it was better. Must have been a bad day.
