Horrible buffet
Had their prime rib buffet. The prime rib was gristly and ended up in the trash. I tried several other items across several cuisines (seafood, Mexican, Asian, home style, etc). Across the board, everything I tried was bland at best, and putrid at worst. Absolutely the worst buffet I've ever tried. Save your money and go to Golden Corral.
Very nice buffet
Very nice seating area. A lot of choices. Everything is freshly prepared. Very well maintained and clean. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. We will definitely come back. Price is very reasonable.
Garden Buffet at Southpoint Casino
I would say, the Garden Buffet is the best way to have a happy ending for a las Vegas trip, especially if you are traveling back to California. Garden Buffet is located inside Southpoint casino, free parking (structure located right side, access to buffet 5-10 mins walking from parking). You can get discount for buffet for two adults with South point casino players card which you enroll inside the casino. All staffs are friendly, and very helpful. Speaking about buffet- lots of variety of food for the brunch. Good seating, friendly chefs…overall great experience. My kids enjoyed it a lot.
Thanksgiving Brunch
One of the lesser costs for Thanksgiving in Las Vegas, $35 a piece BUT WAS OVERPRICED! Arrived about 10 AM, a small waiting line, sat at a booth, very nice staff HOWEVER the food was at best lukewarm. Was not overly impressed with the selection and wish we would have gone to a sit down restaurant instead!!!! Will not return to their buffet.
Not Tasty; Poor Value for the Cost
We went on a Friday night for the Seafood Special. The best I can say about the quality is that it was food, just food, just calories. Nothing that tasty. My guest offered that the shrimp were way too small; like a 200-300 count to the lb; he laughed at them; and not that tasty. He didn't thing much of the other seafood items' not that tasty. We booth had prime rib; not tasty either; I didn't both finishing mine. I did find that the beef in wine sauce was tasty; the tastiest thing I had from the buffet. I also thought the small pieces of carrot cake were very tasty. This was a quantity buffet not a quality buffet; at like 55 per person it was NOT worth it in terms of quality. I would not go back, nor do I recommend it.
Nice for the price
Good selection of choices. Everything was kept filled and hot. Nice salad bar and good selection of desserts. Can't beat it for $26 for brunch, we had been paying $22 for just breakfast at other places.
Surprisingly good!
Very pleasantly surprised with this buffet. Initially not sure that we wanted to do a Vegas buffet, but our friends wanted a buffet experience. First off, the price was very reasonable at only $21 with the South Point card which they can give you on the spot. We had some of the Mexican food, some of the Asian, and some of the Italian, followed by a couple scoops of gelato. Honestly everything we tried was quite tasty. Unfortunately we could only eat so much, so we couldn't try everything, but all we saw looked quite appealing. Service was OK. Our server wasn't the friendliest, but it's a buffet so we didn't need much more than drinks from him. If you are interested in a Las Vegas buffet, don't want to spend an arm and a leg, and are willing to travel to south point, this buffet is for you!
Hidden gem off strip
Clean and organized very friendly staff and affordable price. My wife loves buffets and all the choices, this one did not dissapoint. Food was hot, egg station was prompt and the person cooking was VERY FRIENDLY.
Totally worth the drive!
This is a great buffet if you rent a car and do not mind to drive 15 minutes away from the strip. Great service, good food and great price. It is not The Bellagio or the Caesars, but it is a great option and you can not beat the price.
Go to Golden Corral
This is as average as it gets. It's about as good as Golden Corral. They do have Gelato that was very good and so was the bread pudding. The rest of the food was very average.
Best buffet
Very nice experience. Staff very friendly and gave good service. Price very reasonable for weekday lunch $22.99 and children 3 and under free. Lots of different choices. Very tasty food which is being changed and more served up. Good choices available across different stations and very good quality food. Good range of drinks available too. It was quite busy when we were there but it didn't feel crowded and the wait wasn't long. Recommend for sure. It's the nicest of 3 buffets we've tried in Vegas.
The Garden of Dissapointment
We went as people said the buffet was awesome.... when we got there and tried the food... it was terrible everything very blan and overcooked. The cook on the stir-fry grill coughed all over the food while he was cooking and you guessed it... didn't cover his mouth. They didn't have many options over all and all the different stations filled themselves with carbs.. lots of them and they were again overcooked. Would never go back or recommend this place to anyone.
Garden Cafe is a Must!
OMGoodness. Such fun delectable food. So many Nationalities represented. The best was the desserts. There were 5 of us and we sampled each other's plates. This is my 3rd time going and always a wonderful food experience.
Dinner Experience
My family and I visited this restaurant in December 2023. While waiting for my food, I saw a roach crawling on the serving line and I had to get the Chef's attention to get it. The advertisement of the menu options is placed on a higher scale than what is seen in person. I will not visit this restaurant again.
Stuff your Face at the Buffet
It's a pretty typical buffet, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Price (with Player's Card) was $17.95 per person. A decent assortment of cuisine such as Mexican, American, Italian, Asian, etc. My friend and I stuffed ourselves, so: Mission Accomplished.
Dungeness crab awesome, everything else failed
Crab was awesome, prawns a bit mushy, the prime rib and ribs were way too smoky, salads was a disappointment and the desserts were a total failure.
Need new management
I went to this restaurant about 10 years ago and it was good. The buffet was great. I went recently and it was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. I went to the breakfast buffet right when they opened. I took about 5 bites of food and was so disgusted I just walked out. The eggs smelled and tasted completely rotten. The bacon was paper thin yet somehow they still managed to undercook it (probably because it was going to sit under the heat lamps for hours). The sausage links were just mini hot dogs. The pastries looked like they had sat under those lamps for days (Remember, got here when it opened), even the fruit was mealy and had no flavor. Whatever happened to this place is a tragedy, but it was completely inedible, and I'm not picky. I cant believe South Point lets this place operate under it's roof, it's that bad. I'd rather they charge me more than try to serve me the garbage they put out for this buffet. Do yourself a favor, avoid the breakfast buffet, you've been warned.
Prime Rib night is worth going
Very good Prime rib (certain nights - ours was Wednesday). Other dishes were numerous and good, including desserts. Service also good.
Garden Buffett
Nice breakfast buffett with everything and anything you want for breakfast. Lots of fresh fruit and bread, plus eggs pancakes, waffles. cereals and milk, at least four kinds of juices, bacon. sausage, ham and a few other items too numerous to list here. They also feature custom-made omelets, but the line is almost always very long. Good food.
Great Value for a Las Vegas Buffet Experience
Nice variety of foods to choose from. Staff was well-organized and efficient in getting customers seated. The price is perfect for what is offered. This place isn't on the Strip but you should know the locals don't eat anywhere on the Strip.
Good food for the price
Breakfast buffet was very good. Not as fancy as the higher end buffet, but very good value for money. I would definitely go again. Recommend the ham and pork belly at the carving station.
Great place Wonderful Buffet
This is a great place to stay and play with a wonderful buffet. I will definitely be back. They had everything
Celiac disease / gluten free
Celiac disease and gluten free people. When you pay let them know you have a gluten free problem and they will have a chef walk with you and point out all that is gluten free.
Poor!
Food quality was not good. Service was intermittent. Did not impress me as a Las Vegas buffet. Would not recommend
NOPE
Terrible buffet. Complete lack of seasoning on any dish. Usually we can find a couple of dishes wherever we go but not here. NOT cheap either
NOT GOOD. The reviews are wrong!
We drove from the Strip to Southpoint specifically to try the Garden Buffet for dinner. It's a bit of a drive - about a half hour, but the reviews were excellent and buffets are suddenly scarce in Vegas, so we decided to give it a try. It was HORRIBLE!!! The food was bad. Really bad. Cold, old, tasteless. The fish options were all rubbery and the whitefish was half raw. The carving station meats were tough, grisly, and tasteless. I had a slice of prime rib that was about 80% fat. The meaty part was tasteless and not even the au jus could help it. The fried chicken was dry. The mongolian grill was a great idea, and I was excited to try it but the guy who cooked my order was RUDE. The choices for the grill were few and the sauces were so watered down by the cook shooting streams of water on it for steam, that it lost all flavor. The desserts were standard, prepackaged like most buffets. Nothing special. Nothing good. There was absolutely nothing about this buffet that was appealing. We paid about $55 for two people (with the players card) for weekday dinner. I would rate this one the worst in Vegas. By far.
Very good buffet--especially for $27 in Vegas
We enjoyed the buffet so much that we went back a second time-----very good price for Vegas--payed $27 each after the $3 off because we signed up for the players club------we were very impressed with the extra service that a waiter named Joe gave us--even requested him the second visit---as far as food---had everything you could ask for
Meh... go somewhere else for good food
While not as expensive as other buffets on the strip and parking is easy, the food is generally bland and mediocre. Lunch was $ 18.95 per person. The good: Salad and vegetables were beautiful and fresh. Turkey breast was perfect, juicy and tasty along with the gravy. Sorbet and gelato was tasty, mini flan was nice. Southern chicken breast was good, especially with theheated and slightly spicy barbecue sauce. The not so good: Brisket is tough and rubbery and definitely needs to be cooked longer. Ribs were dry. Taco meat was bland. Peach cobbler was not good. Selection is substantial but much, unfortunately, doesn't look appealing. We left full, but somewhat disappointed.
Not good at all
Not good at all. Same stuff on their menu every time we visit. Much better buffet at the other casinos for sure.
Research pays off, what a feast ! 10 / 15 / 22
The Garden Buffet got rave reviews and was one of the least expensive buffets at $27 for the prime rib and 100 plus selections they offer. We were seated and tended to by a gracious host, who took our drink orders and kept clearing our emptied plates. The prime rib was my focus, and it melted in your mouth. They had 3 cuts to choose from, and were generous with their serving. Beef stroganoff was top notch as well, and sides of delicious mashed potatoes and veggies adorned my full plate with peaches and cream, strawberry shortcake, carrot cake, and dipped custard in white chocolate balls filled me to the brim. I never attempted the salad or the chicken parmesan that was calling me. This was our dinner on our traveling day, and one to remember.
Very delicious
It was very delicious, they had a ton of variety, and it was all good. I had a ton of different foods on my plate. Service was also very good. I was sitting by ma boy John when a server came and gave me more lemonade.
Best Value Buffet in Las Vegas
I ate the South Point breakfast buffet three times on my August trip and this review is for breakfast only. The Garden Buffet is easily the best value in Las Vegas. I'm sure the $11.95 price is a loss leader, but that brings customers, who are all potential gamblers, in the door. First get a slot club card to get that price. Next, try to eat before 9am and the lines will be nonexistent or very short. Finally, eat on weekdays. Las Vegas used to have lots of buffets like South Point, but now properties have either dropped them entirely or the price is so high it isn't a good value. I've eaten at Wynn and I can't eat $70.00 worth of food. The Garden Buffet has all the basics: bacon, eggs, sausage, pancakes, french toast, omelet station, hash browns, fresh fruit, doughnuts and many others. The best part is the exceptional value. This is an old-school Las Vegas buffet. Doesn't try to impress with food options I can't pronouce or looking at it and trying to figure out just what's in the dish. You will definitely get your money's worth there.
It was worth the Wait and then some. Friday night Sea food buffet
First and foremost it's been almost two and a half years since I have visited any Hotel buffets and we all know the reason for that putting that aside after doing some research we decided to go to the South Point Garden buffet. Recommend you get there at least 1 1 / 2 hours before it opens as there will be a line. The place has a lot of seating so the line does move fast when they open. After that be prepared for a 2 to 3 hour wait. If you are a sea food fan this is the place that will give you satisfaction. Primarily I went there for the crab legs and they had Dungeness crab legs and snow crab legs both hot and cold. There are way to many dishes to also explore there as well as a carving table for Prime rib and baled salmon, five different soups you get two free drinks so beer and wine are served. The service is Fantastic and everyone is on top of their game. The price is $45 per person and $42 with a club card. My wife and were blown away by this buffet to get the same at some other places be prepared to spend Double the price. We will be back again very soon Finally a place to revisit more than once.
Excellent Value
This is one of the lowest priced buffets in all of Las Vegas. It was definitely worth the trip down there. The food was plentiful and tasted great.
Very nice old school buffet
Visited twice for lunch. Great food, good service, good price ($16 for lunch w card) Well worth 15 min drive from strip. Lines tend to get long but move quick. Will definitely go back next time. FYI, if you try to come for lunch last minute (after 2:30pm), they may make you wait for dinner (opens at 4pm)
This is a wonderful Buffett
We ate here many times during our stay at the property. Great table service even though its help yourself. Price was very reasonable. Make sure to tip your Wait Staff !!!!!!!
Anything that you want to eat
My wife I attended this buffet with friends and were pleasantly surprised at the selection of both the breakfast and dinner buffets More than enough selections of foods Reasonably priced
Breakfast buffet x 2
We were staying nearby so we took advantage of the favorable pricing that was combined with either coupons or the Monday senior points 50% off discount on two mornings. Included in our and possibly your weekday buffet experience are free bloody Marys of which we each had each enjoyed one. Our initial plates combined an assortment of fruit along with yogurt and typically preceded plates # 2. These included perfectly cooked easy over eggs though the same individual will be happy to cook you an omelet with a variety of fixins. Breakfast potato offering should not be, and weren't, ignored as I enjoyed hash browns, O'Brien potatoes, and Lyonnaise potatoes though not on the same day. Sampling at the various stations is deemed de riguer so my second plates were filled with an assortment of treats including mushrooms, spinach, bacon, beef sausage and corned beef hash. There happened to be a third plate, one that included a mouth watering portion of chocolate cake, a warm bread pudding with vanilla sauce and, god and my cardiologist forgive me, more bacon.
First Buffet in Over 2 Years... It Could Have Been Better
We specifically went on a Sunday so that we could once again, as in days gone by, enjoy the Prime Rib. Paid $22.99 per person. The prime rib would have moo'ed at me given half a chance... so raw and you cannot convince me that everyone and his brother wants their meat like that. A very thin slice (can you spare it?) was thrown on the grill, overcooked and then more or less plopped down on my plate. Not impressed, not like in previous visits. The mashed potatoes were cold. The fried shrimp were so tiny! The section were the taco makings were displayed was so messy and unappetizing to say the least. The bacon was so thin you probably could read the newspaper through it. Scrambled eggs were cold. It was extremely busy and I just couldn't get to the fresh fruit and a couple of other areas. The dessert area was clean and well stocked and the server went out of her way to get the donut I wanted--thanks for that! Our server was absolutely lovely and very attentive... kept us happy with Mimosas and even brought bagels to our table because we couldn't find them. Wouldn't go again because just too expensive for what they are serving up to us. Very sad visit.
Good food and service
The service is good and the food was good but the lines to get in were slow and a long wait. We timed it Ok, but we could see the line growing and people having to wait a very long time. For this size of casino the seating in the buffet could easily be increased to accommodate the demand.
Disgusting breakfast buffet
The breakfast buffet at South Point was absolutely the worst buffet I have been to in my life. There was practically nothing edible. Our whole family kept trying to find something decent, and it was nearly impossible, so we kept having to waste food and there was no way to avoid it. Extremely undercooked eggs, except when they were overcooked, dreadful desserts, inexplicable French toast that just tasted bad. How is that even possible to have bad tasting French toast? Dry ham and fruit that has seen better days rounded out the offerings. The sausage was okay. Definitely not recommended.
You get what you pay for
This is one of the cheaper buffets in Las Vegas. You get what you pay for. I swear the customer service and food quality have taken a steep decline over the past 6 months, more so than the other buffets in Las Vegas. After my January 2022 visit on the way back to the strip we had to pull the car over so I could vomit. This last visit (March 2022) they were completely not accommodating for our group with a wheelchair. They sat the party of 5 from behind us in line and then made us wait another half hour after paying to seat us, while seating 20 more parties. Then, a girl ran through the dining room and vomited right in the middle of the room. It took another half hour for them to clean that up. The food selection is pretty limited. The desserts are the best part of the menu and the servers in that area are the best at customer service.
Good weekend buffet. Not great on weekday
Varied experience by day. The more expensive brunch buffet on weekends had plentiful options, including a variety of meats and some seafood. Lots of breakfast options. Long line-up to get a seat. Had a great server that day. On a regular weekday, breakfast was cheaper and not as good. As price would indicate, fewer options. Some of the food was not very warm, sausage was over / cooked and pastries were a little dry. Our server that day was not as good as our previous experience
Where's the beef? It's at the Garden Buffet!
I was craving a prime rib dinner and ran across an internet recommendation for the prime rib dinner at South Point Casino's Garden Buffet. Went and became a raving fan! The prime rib was delicious! The price was excellent! The wait staff was attentive! Went back a second time and tried the breakfast buffet was equally good. Although there is a line, it moves quickly! The Garden Buffet did not disappoint.
Just Alright!!
This buffet is located in South Point Casino. I have to say that it was a very small buffet for the size of the casino. It us a guarantee that you will certainly bump into several people trying to get food. If the lines form, they will block the next line. It was very cramped. Food was just okay too. Veggies are very limited or nonexistence. I was not impressed and had experienced other buffets worth the money. We experienced this through a sales presentation but glad we didn't pay for the experience.
Fairly good for the price
Good for the price. Lots of options. Very comfortable seating. Some stations had many people lined up. But moved fairly quickly.
⭐⭐⭐
Excellent price for a buffet. Just shy of $17 for lunch. Thai noodles, pizza, Fajitas, Chicken soup, Chinese ribs, pork roll and Swedish meatballs were the best. Average was Cajun Creole Salmon, and Baked Cod. Below average were the ribs and brisket. Bland and no flavor. Full desert and salad station available but I usually stay away from those areas. They had shrimp but no crab legs or lobster. Spaghetti and meatloaf as well as chicken cacciatore were some of the dishes I did not have a chance to eat. I'd come back simply because of the price and you are bound to find several items above average.
awesome breakfast
this is one of the few (only?) affordable breakfast buffets left in Vegas and it is a great value. there is a wide selection. the french toast was perfect and there was lots of fresh fruit. it's not the Bacchanal but you probably won't find a better value for a big breakfast.
Away from the Strip
We had a lovely brunch last Saturday, it was great, not so crowded, all the essentials you need in a breakfast, i loved it, the staff were all friendly and masked up…if you are looking for a quiet place away from Strip, this is a place to visit
Dinner at south point
We went to south point buffet as we have been here before so we went their for breakfast and it was very good a lot of choices to choose from. Price is very reasonable with players card, we also went their for dinner as they had prime rib, shrimp the prime rib was excellent, A lot to choose from Everything we tried was excellent service was a bit slow as alot of places are under staffed but it wasn't bad. Between all the place s we ate this week this was a very good buffet it is down the strip a bit but worth the drive I don't think you will be disappointed, we ate their a total of 5 times that week every time was good
Revamped buffet
We were staying a timeshare immediately across the street from the South Point a decided to have the breakfast buffet prior to catching a return flight home. The buffet has been revamped since our last visit with additional cooking stations along with a few new items introduced. The room is large and bright with above average service. I loaded plate # 1 plate with fresh fruit and yogurt. Plate # 2 involved easy over eggs, sliced to order ham, potatoes and corned beef hash. Plate # 3 was limited to a sampling of bacon and sauteed mushrooms. Baked breakfast pastries, gellato and the entire dessert station were ignored. The food was of average quality, but served to fill (stuff) my belly at a very reasonable price given that my wife and I used a American Casino Guide 2 for 1 coupon.
Photos added. Very good bargain buffet
This is a very large buffet located in the South Point Casino. They have different stations offering different food offerings. Carved meats YUM! Very good desserts and friendly staff. I will return.
Needs A Reboot After Renovations! Take a Pass!
The Buffet is located inside the South Point Casino Hotel on Las Vegas Blvd and Silverado Ranch Blvd. We were here on 12 / 27 / 2018 at 12 Noon for Lunch and the Buffet has now reopened after a serious renovation. Sorry to say they need a reboot of the prior buffet stations. The food at the stations was warm and not Hot in temperature. Some food was dry and tasteless. The creamed horseradish at the BBQ station has a brown film over the top. The Pizza Station needed a restock, since there was none to be had. The Dessert station cream pies were more whipped topping than filling and the crust was too thick. The roasted chicken was dry and the Turkey was greasy looking. The pork ribs were not hot and the Beef Brisket was dry and overdone. The Oriental Station had more vegetables (about 95%) than meat in their dishes and none of it was hot. They have raised the prices at the Buffet after the renovations but, I see little to no improvement in the food quality. Not worth the money anymore. RATES A RETURN: Not at this time. They need to improve their food quality and serving problems.

Great selection and value for breakfast
As hotel guests of the South Point, we received 50% off coupons for the Garden Buffet at check-in. So for breakfast one morning, our family of 4 ate for half price as we used both coupons. In addition, if you sign up for the South Point Club Card (which is really easy to do and it only takes a couple minutes) you can get a reduced price meal even if you don't have 50% off coupons. We decided to try the breakfast one morning. The selection of food was outstanding and we had no problems whatsoever with the food quality, either. For $29.07 plus tip it was an OUTSTANDING VALUE for our family of four. So glad we decided to try it. The seating area was large so there wasn't an issue being seated. And our server was very attentive in refilling our drinks and removing dirty dishes from our table. Perhaps on a future visit to Las Vegas we'll try the lunch or dinner buffet. Do yourself a favor and by all means check out this place if you happen to be staying at the South Point hotel. And if you aren't staying at the hotel, it's still a worthwhile stop.
Average food
If you go be sure to either get a players club card or a coupon book from the hotel. The coupon book offers half off. On weekends it's only brunch prices between 8:00 & 3:00pm. It's both breakfast & lunch food plus included mimosas. Most of the hot food was mediocre. My dad did like the onelet station. I liked the salad bar & oatmeal. I tried the scrambled eggs & they were runny & terrible. Most of the hot food had an overwhelming butter taste. There was enough selection though to find a couple good things. It would not have been worth full price though.
What's my excuse
My excuse for dining at this buffet is it is convenient for having breakfast prior to catching a plane for home. We also used a coupon so one meal was free and the second was paid by slot points. The breakfast includes a bloody Mary which is nearly as good as can be found at the bars for $1 prior to noon. I started with a plate of mixed fruit and yogurt that was pretty good though some of it obviously came out of a jar. I then limited my self to one more plate that included my Las Vegas guilty pleasures, bacon and corned beef plus easy over eggs. Would I pay full retail? No, but for the price of a gratuity I might, though not guaranteed, find my way to the buffet line again.

Great prices for decent food
Nice buffet located at the South Point. We arrived for breakfast in Memorial Day and were happy to find that veterans plus one guest eat for free. Bottomless bloody mary's and a wide variety of food got us stuffed in no time. But that still didn't stop us from going to the dessert line 3 times ;-)
Consistently Good Food, Great Value!
We stopped by here for lunch on our way out of Las Vegas. The food is always good and the price with the casino rewards card makes the value even better. The parking is free and the service is very good. Located only a few minutes from the south end of the Strip. Thank you South Point!
VERY GOOD !!!!
We ate at the Garden Buffet a couple of times during our last Las Vegas trip. First we had the all you can eat breakfast buffet, we started with the made to order omelet station, lots of toppings, fillings, it was very good. The breakfast buffet also includes bottomless bloody mary. We also had a couple of dinner buffets, which were fantastic, huge salad bar, lots of variety, seafood, mexican, carvery, to many choices. make sure you sign up for South Point Card you get a discount at buffet. Will be eating here again on next Las Vegas visit.
One of the Better Buffets
I've never been a fan of buffets and my reasons are similar to those of others who try to avoid them. One problem is the food- it is often prepared without individual care and tastes inferior in quality. The food is usually left to sit for a long period of time, deteriorating with each passing minute. And the service is usually below average as wait staff attempts to satisfy far too many customers, most of whom need assistance only in a few areas but are demanding regardless. As the old adage goes, however, every rule has an exception and one of them is the Garden Buffet, located inside the South Point Hotel and Casino. This is a large buffet with seating for several hundred people and a variety of foods that exceeds that of other buffets. I dined here for breakfast and I was impressed at the number of foods available and the better than average quality of food served. I made a couple trips back to the buffet, adding pancakes, eggs, salads, and other items to my plate. The care provided to the preparation of the food is better here than at other buffets and the food tastes fresher than that of other, similar restaurants. Variety is easily one of the Garden Buffets standouts. When I dined here for breakfast with my family, I expected to find nothing but breakfast- style foods, but I quickly discovered that there is much more than that. I noticed a section with Asian foods, one for salads, and even a place to order specialty pies and ice cream. The fact that they serve more foods than those associated with the time of day is perfect for the more finicky eaters among us, many of whom may not want breakfast, lunch, or dinner foods specifically. I haven't had much luck with the service received at buffet restaurants, but Garden Buffet once again shines. I did have a slight issue with the amount of time they took to serve our initial beverages but I was willing to forgive because it was very busy when we were here. Also, I noticed that they picked up the pace afterward, checking back on our table with great frequency and bringing us extra napkins, utensils, etc. without even asking. Buffets will likely never rate highly on my list of restaurants, but it is good to know that there are some decent buffet options out there. Garden Buffet is one of them, a large restaurant with abundant seating, very good variety, and respectable, friendly service. It's located in a large casino where you are just steps away from slot machines and other entertainment. I still prefer a sit- down meal, but all things considered, Garden Buffet is a good place for a quick meal on the up-and-coming south Las Vegas strip.
OK buffet
Went on Saturday night, which is seafood and prime rib night, so the price was a little higher. It helps a little to join The Club, South Point;s membership plan. The food is OK and there was lots of seafood. With baked salmon, prime rib, lots of shrimp and crablegs, you can really enjoy yourself. You also get a glass of wine.
Brunch disappoints
We had American Casino Guide coupons good for a free buffet after putting 300 points on our slot cards so we decided to try the brunch buffet. This buffet was more than a little disappointing because the only additions of note to the usual breakfast fare were a cheap beef roast, tiny Asian shrimp and some large, tough BBQ ribs. We also noticed that there was less fresh fruit than in the past.
Pretty good for the price
If your a guest of the hotel you can get a buffet coupon for 50% off. With that being said you can't go wrong with a diner buffet in Vegas for under $10. The food selection was pretty solid with plenty of choices. The food itself is pretty good, not the best, but well worth the money. Service was good and the restaurant is clean. You will not be disappointed especially at this price.
Best buffet on the Las Vegas Strip!
South Point is a Hotel that me and my bestie lucked up and found. The buffet is great on Sunday they have a unlimited Mimosa brunch. The omlette station rocks they have a lot of choices. The food is fresh and not overly seasoned. The prime rib is the best you can have it sliced but I have mine put on the grill. Also for lunch try the macaroni and cheese best I've had that was not home made. This is a buffet you and your kids will enjoy they have a lot of variety. Pasta Station, stir fry station and the locations around the world, asian, mexican and american. I brought my family from Chicago here and they enjoyed it in April. When I came back in September I brought my friends and they said it's the best kept secret on the strip. Make sure you get a South Point Players card to get the discount off the buffet regular price. The staff is what really makes this place special they are awesome and customer friendly. I stop here before i check into my room I like to fly in the am and you have a few hours to eat and shop before going to the room.
A so-so Seafood Buffet
The Garden Buffet located inside the South Point Hotel & Casino offers seafood on Fridays from 4-10 PM. I've been to a few seafood buffets in Las Vegas and this one is just so-so. It's not the best but definitely not the worst either. They offer peel'n eat shrimp, fresh oysters, snow crab legs, and some fish items aw well as some non seafood items. The oysters were just passable but not great. They were not very plump and had shell particles on most of them. The sweet'n sour cod in the Asian station was good. The crab legs was good also but you have to dig to find the good pieces. They do give you a glass of wine with your meal. I suggest the moscato as it goes well with seafood. The staff was nice and attentive most of the time. The price was $27 per person so it wasn't bad for a seafood price. Many places exceed $40 for a seafood buffet. In general, you get what you paid for. Although it wasn't the best seafood buffet in Vegas we still had a great time and was stuffed. As with any buffets, the value also depends on how much you can eat.
More fresh fruit
Breakfast prices have increased by $1 since our last visit, but the overall quality remains good. Unlimited bloody Marys are included and fresh fruit options currently include fresh strawberries. My first plate included a variety of fresh fruit topped with yogurt. The second plate attendees were easy over eggs, bacon, corned beef hash and grilled mushrooms. Everything i tried was well prepared and reasonably fresh. We used coupons received at check-in to reduce the cost by 50% making this meal a veritable bargain.
Average Buffet Food!
Located in the South Point Hotel & Casino. This is an average buffet. We were there on seafood night. They had a variety of shrimp dishes, fresh oysters, and snow crab. Make sure you get a players card even if you do not play as you will get a discount on the meal. Annie our server from Buffalo was incredible, really on top of the drink refills and cleaning the plates. She definitely earned her tip! I enjoyed the Asian station were you fill your bowl with what veggies you like. Then hand it to the chef and let him know if you want chicken, shrimp or beef. He then stir fry's it in front of you on a giant slab,
Decent buffet with discounted price for casino players
We lost count of how many times we ate at South Point Garden Buffet, which is not a large affair; it's quite simple with common fares, American, Italian, Mexican, Asian, seafood, and of course desserts!
Mediocre
I had 2 free buffets with our room package so at noon we went downstairs for the Sunday brunch compliments. The brunch proved to be, as expected, a disappointment. The brunch add-ons, in comparison to the weekly buffet, were all of mediocre quality. I sampled shrimp cocktail, Mongolian grilled chicken and vegetables, chow fun and (3) itty bitty desserts.
Best value
We were very surprised at the selection and quality. I am not a buffet person normally, but my husband loves them. We tried an early breakfast last trip and it includes unlimited Bloody Mary's. Actually a brunch with many lunch items which gave it unbeatable value. $7.99 w / card is unheard of these days in what was once THE buffet Mecca of the world. Many have out priced themselves. We will return next trip and hope it stays great. Service was lousy but food and selection far outweigh that glitch. Highly recommend if near.
Only eat it if it's free
It was absolutely disgusting. Dessert was good but everything else was cold and gross. Ambience nice, right by the slot machines. I'd recommend any of the other restaurants there over this one. The " free " wine is the $4 / bottle wine.
Good Food, Super Friendly Service
Super friendly and efficient service, certainly far above the normal Vegas Buffet. Food was plentiful, and the prices are very reasonable, especially with the $2 discounts per person with your free Players Club card. We received a discount booklet that had 50% off our 1st visit to the Buffet. They have specials every day of the week, including peel n eat shrimp, prime rib, steaks, etc. We dined there 3 times and Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner were all above what we expected. Really a bargain overall. Again, super service!!
Good Solid Buffet
We were pleasantly surprised to find this buffet to be so good. With the discount given to Club members, this is quite affordable. The staff cleaned everywhere quickly and efficiently. The food offerings were almost all good, well presented, and quickly replaced when empty. Asian Italian Mexican choices among others. Only the shrimp were disappointing. The prime rib was melt in your mouth grand (even better than we had at the Wynn buffet).
Hidden treasure!
Great value! First time to this one and got there at 8 am for breakfast. 7.95 w / players card. Incl. unlimited Bloody Mary's! Nice selection and not just breakfast foods. Actually brunch for a breakfast price! Service was lousy but food for the price equated to a great value. Very nice ample selections ranging from soup, salad, Asian, to a vast array of desserts. You can't go wrong for the price and would definitely return.
No reservations, no service at 4pm opening no admittance, 14 customers in line
02 / 05 / 2021; Making dinner reservations for the Garden Buffet, is not clearly outlined. We arrived at 4pm when the dinner buffet starts. We were the 14th customers in line as we looked at an empty 300 available seating. An employee asked if we had reservations and I said NO, I did not read anything about needing reservations for a buffet. He said that we come back at 7:30pm to eat. I said that the only rules that were stated online were face masks & social distancing. At this time my wife and I along with the other paying customers left to go eat at one of the upstairs restaurants who did not require reservations, go figure.
Excellent value breakfast
This is a must when staying at South Point. The value is outstanding and the food very tasty
Great Selection
There was a lot of different items for breakfast, huge selection. Orange juice could be better, tasted like Tang mixed with orange juice. Have free Bloody Mary's with buffet purchase.
Good Food, Friendly Staff
At the time I am writing this review this buffet is one of only two casino buffets open in all of Las Vegas. The staff serves you whatever size portion of each item you would like. There are a few items specifically dessert that are already plated for you to grab yourself. The staff on the Tuesday night we went was very friendly and helpful. They had very good prime rib au jus and peel and eat shrimp. The quality of these two items was better than you would expect for an inexpensive / moderately priced buffet. We paid $18.95 with the Southpoint Players Card (saves you $4.00 for 2 at the buffet.) I tried the meatballs, caesar salad, bowtie pasta with marinara, mashed potatoes, fried chicken, and the bbq pork, I would say it ranged from decent to very good but nothing was bad. The desserts were very good including better than average gelato. The buffet stations are kept very clean and the table service was prompt. It is definetely worth it if you love buffets during this time that so many are still closed.
Great Buffet
My husband loves buffets in Vegas! When we went as a couple in July this was one of the few that were open so we decided to try it. We weren't sure what to expect since the price was super cheap with a players card. We were pleasantly surprised with the selection and taste. It wasn't as good at the Wynn's buffet or Wicked Spoon, but it was very good for that price point. We brought our 3 kids to Vegas for the first time in Dec. and we are at this buffet twice. The kids loved it and so did we for the price!
nice choices
you get a discount if your a member of south point casino, easy to do at the casino they serve the food to you at the different stations it was nice
Decent value for price
We've eaten at the Coronado Cafe in Southpoint and enjoyed our meal there but this time we decided to try the Garden Buffet This breakfast buffet is very reasonably priced at $9.95 with a club card They have a great variety of food to choose from and it appeared to be fresh. I ordered a made to order omelet and it was very good. I chose pineapple and strawberries to go along with it. I decided to go back and get a spoonful of hashbrowns and a pancake. The hashbrowns were on the dry side and the pancake was barely warm. Im sure i could have got the pancake replaced but i decided i was full after a couple bites If you are a person who likes a little bit of several things, you will enjoy this buffet. It is a pretty good spread for $10!!!!
Good Buffet at Southpoint Casino
We come by here whenever we are in Las Vegas. The food is consistently good and tasty. Today Kathleen from Chicago was our waitress, she always does a fantastic job!
OMG the Prime Rib
The buffet is now served cafeteria style because of Covid. It still allows you the option of asking for more or less up there. The prime rib is outstanding. Any other place would cost much more. Other carving choices my night were turkey, pork, and ribs. There is only one other buffet and that's Wicked Spoon which is a brunch only. I don't want breakfast food. If possible, get to SouthPoint Casino which is a few miles south of the strip. We enjoyed it. Cost $18.95 with players card Sunday-Thursday, and Saturday. Friday is seafood night at $28.95 with card.
Very Below Average
Went to Garden Buffet yesterday morning for brunch on our way out of Vegas. Payed $17.95 for brunch with a players club card. Let me start by saying that the coffee was amazing and the best thing that I tried. Choices were very limited and staff very short handed. I went up for food and had to wait at every station to be served when there was no one else there. The staff were busy doing prep and other things when there should have been a designated server available when you went up like in other hotel buffets. The food that I tried was very below average. I finally got some Eggs Benedict and the egg yolk was hard and the muffin was soggy. Corned Beef hash was also soggy, no crunch, but was OK. There was mashed potato at the meat station which was in my opinion the best thing there apart from the coffee. I would probably not spend my money at this buffet again even though the price was very reasonable. I guess it come down to you getting what you pay for.
Gelato
Good value and good food especially if you use the 1 / 2 off coupon that hotel guests receive. Highlight for me is there extensive gelato offering.
Really reasonable breakfast buffet during the week
The breakfast buffet has a great variety of items with made-to-order omelets and refreshed foods at a very reasonable price. You won't go hungry here and the taste won't disappoint.
Not pleased with the omelette bar
Omelette line was long, only two cooks resulting in brown on the outside. The selection of the choices made up for the difference. Price was fair.
Would have gotten 3 stars but.
They weren't upfront with their pricing. Their pricing on the window never said anything about a " brunch " price. We though we were going for Lunch as it was 11:38am and the prices posted were for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Seafood Buffet (Friday and Saturday only). Food was just ok.
Okay for a buffet
I am not a big buffet fan to begin with. However, this buffet was decent. Okay price. I wouldn't pay more than $15 for lunch. The desserts were the best part.
Enjoyed
The buffet was quite good. The selection was large. Everything I tasted, I enjoyed. And actually I found the marinara sauce, to be excellent. Surprised me.
Good Selection
Good selection, I loved that the crab legs were already cut in half. The veggie lasagna was really good too. A little pricey, but the coupon book you get at check in has a 50% off coupon for buffet.
Great selection
Lots of selection including healthy choices. They had egg whites spinach great Greek yogurt and everything else. Player club card gets a discount. We went here for breakfast and dinner loved it.
Nice Buffet
The Garden Buffet has any and all you may want. Ill guess thee are about 8 full bars of different foods: Mexican, American, Asian, Salads. desserts etc. Servers bring drinks to the table. I went for breakfast and it was inexpensive (I think about $10)
The best buffet place on the Las Vegas Blvd South
We had the buffet for breakfast, lunch or supper depending on our schedule. Very good buffet for the price and the food is always fresh. They have Mexican, Italian, Chinese and American food.
Garden Buffet Brunch
As a hotel guest, you get a 50% coupon upon check in for Garden Buffet. For that price point, the value of the meal is excellent. While Vegas has many buffet options that include higher end food and dessert options, the price point of this buffet and the quality of the food it does offer is still very good, Table drink service is attentive and cordial. All in all, a great value for the money.
Great Value
We went to the buffet twice last weekend and enjoyed it. Great service, value and great selection of food. I would recommend over the overpriced buffets in the Strip.
Good dinner, reasonable price
We ate here on a Saturday and a Sunday night. The restaurant is spacious with a warm homely ambience. Wait staff were efficient and friendly. The price on Saturday was slightly higher but it included a wine voucher. The theme for Sunday was Prime Ribs. On both occasions, we had our fill of a wide selection of tasty food. The special on Saturday night was crabs - implements are provided to help diners extract the meat from the crustaceans. If seafood does not tickle your palate, there are several other stations like Asian, Mexican and Italian. Desserts included a delectable array of cakes as well as gelato in several flavours.
Excellent array of food choices
Excellent array of tasty food choices on this buffet. Nothing left behind. Especially liked the pork cooked with apples and cinnamon. Bread pudding was exceptional as well. Enjoyed everything we choose to eat. GREAT selection - reasonable price.
The Great Buffet
This is a very good Buffet and their soups are fantastic all of them and it is not a real expensive Buffet like all the others most dinner buffets are only around $15 except Fridays and Saturdays are Seafood nights they're about $28 but prime rib is always served there too and the people are very nice
Quality at a reasonable price
I like buffets. I love the variety and all the choices. I also like the chance to explore new foods. Garden Buffet offers all of that. We had several meals and all were quite good. The nice thing is, they offer some surprising things like crawfish at meals that are a delight (or a shock) to find. They put out a nice selection of food, all prepared well. Particularly good is their Brunch and breakfast offerings.
CLEAN, WELL ORGANIZED, EXCELLENT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE
We went there on Thursday for lunch. The price was around 13.00 the food was very tasty and great variety. Everyone kept their 6-foot distance. It was wonderful. WE LOVE SOUTH POINT.
Looks better than it is
The food looks a lot better than it tastes I am sorry to say. Everything about it was mediocre including the peel and eat shrimp, which was over cooked. Save yourself some time and eat at the deli Instead.
Great Staff !!!
Our first buffet since the beginning of the Pandemic. We tried the lunch and hopefully can go for the dinner sometime soon. The price was reasonable and the selections were many. The quality of the food wasn't really that great but the service staff was exceptional. Some of the meats were very dry and the little charcuterie plate tasted as if was cut last week especially the salami. Carlos the cook helped us more than once in navigating the little items we thought might not be available. Great very cordial Service Carlos. Thanks. We are looking forward to the Prime Rib dinner with the Shrimp Cocktail that was also very good.
Great Buffet
Short wait to be seated, roomy, great servers and the food was good as was the selection. The price was good especially if you have a players card. If you are staying at The Grandview that is not only close but a place to try out.
Great Buffet
Great Omelet Station. Huge variety of food. Use the coupon given when you check in for 50% off. Servers are very attentive and keep drinks filled.
We ate breakfast here everyday
Excellent variety of various foods which is reasonably priced. Breakfast had Asian, seafood, omelettes made to order, fruit, pastries..... if it's in a breakfast they had it.
Very nice
Very good and reasonable. Staff friendly and helpful We were there for the surf and turf special. Very good
Friday is Seafood night
THE BEST SEAFOOD I HAVE EVER HAD. There are several kinds of food to pick from. The Buffet is clean, colorful and the staff is EXCELLENT. We love it.
Delicious!
First of all I like the price! If you have a card, it is even cheaper. The food is delicious!!! And finally a salad bar with some choices besides lettuce and tomatoes! Attentive service and comfortable seating!
Wow!!!
This place is awesome!!! It is in the lobby of South Point, where I stayed. Has a huge variety of foods from around the globe!!! Never eaten at a place like here!!!
Excellent Value
If you love prime rib, this is a great place and with the coupon it is a hell of a deal. All kinds of ethnic foods and so organized and clean. I highly recommend it even if you don't have coupon book.
