Great for breakfast!
Haskap smoothie and breakfast cookies very yummy! Too bad it's not open earlier on Saturday, but worth a visit on my next visit to Peace River.
Cozy spot for meals away from home!
An excellent place for breakfast or lunch. Delicious homemade bread for sandwiches. Coffee is great too! Cinnamon buns are amazing.

Coffee, sandwiches & more
We are new to Peace River and stopped by on a recommendation. It was fantastic. We had coffee, sandwiches and of course a cinnamon bun. So tasty. We always have to have that awkward conversation about gluten-free options and cross contamination due to a family member with celiac disease. They were super knowledgeable and able to tell us which items were safe and which items stood a chance of cross contamination. Great ambience. We will be back again & again!
Excellent coffee
Love the Chai Latte and sandwiches, especially the croissant sandwiches. Can hardly wait to come and enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant when it is open for seating.
Nice Stop for Lunch!
Stop in here at least 1 time per month for homemade soup and a sandwich. A lot of options are available for all eating types with fast friendly service.

Daily specials are delicious as is everything I have tried on the menu. Food it tasty and fresh. Good luck saying no to the squares and cookies

Every time I travel to Peace River I stop @ Java Domain. The food is fresh & delicious. Everything from soup, sandwiches, dessert. The coffee is great. Chicken chili today was perfect!! Very friendly and laid back staff
Hot fast and delicious
I have been there a few times and every time I go my food is hot fast and delicious. The sandwiches are awesome.
Terrific Caterer
We used Java Domain as a caterer for a family event after being very impressed by eating in the restaurant. I can't say enough great things! The service they provided was fantastic, the food was delicious and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend Java Domain!

This is a cute little cafe at the south end of main street in Peace River! Great home made foods & desserts here! Specialty drinks (hot & cold) always a favourite to go to!

The food is delicious and a variety to suit everyone needs and taste.. the location it great and easy to get to. The service is nothing but friendly and polite. Close the the mall, banks, movie theatre and a beautiful walking trail alone the river.

Great find in Peace River
I ordered the Chai tea as it was home made. It did not disappoint, very tasty. The homemade bread was very tasty as well. The decor and music choices added to the experience.

Great coffee
I ordered a decaf vanilla latte. Very friendly staff and helpful. It didn't take long to get my coffee. Good flavour. I would go back again.
Tasty, fresh and great coffee
Dropped by for breakfast and tried the suggested breakfast bagel with bacon. Very good, fresh, hot and tasty. Well worth the money and the stop.
Best baked goods in the Peace
Great coffee and baked goods. Husband and wife team do a fantastic job. All food made on the premises. They obviously love their customers and are willing to share their knowledge of local adventures.
Food suggests healthy and wholesome But..
Food is tasty enough but definitely not as healthy as suggested. Not everything is made from scratch as suggested - definitely not organic or local produce. I have been there a few times and staff are friendly enough but owners can be quite crabby and definitely are not friendly.
Best coffee in town!
Stopped in to Java Domain for a latte while in Peace River. This is the only great coffee I've found in that town and the staff are really friendly. I didn't have anything to eat this time, but I know from 2 previous experiences that their food is very good too, with several healthy options.
Nice Little Spot
Had soup and bun for lunch, both of which were very good. Is nicely decorated and clean with friendly people working there.
A Gem in the heart of Peace River
Java Domain is a fun, vibrant, fantastic place to eat and just sit with a coffee and bite to eat. Healthy and yummy choices - all freshly made. A real gem in Peace River.
Awesome!
This is a fantastic coffee shop and lunch place that is located in the downtown of Peace River- it is among my favorite in town. The food is absolutely amazing. The muffins are always freshly baked in the shop and regardless of what kind they are, they taste delicious. Anything that I have ever ordered here, from soup, to salad, to sandwiches and wraps, have always been fresh and tasty. It seems like there are quite a few healthy meal options available at this place. The staff are very friendly and service seems quite fast as well.
Local Cafe: great for coffee and lunch and treats
Lunch specials are quiche, panini, and soup. Often runs out of at least one of the 3 by early afternoon. Also a selection of sandwiches and salads. Bread is made in-house and is awesome. Prices are definitely higher than chain coffee shops, but the atmosphere is generally a bit better too. Cinnamon buns are only on Saturdays which somehow makes them taste even better. Limited hours and closes for anything close to a holiday.
Total package
The owners talk to their customers and connect with them. Pair that with a good coffee blend and awesome breakfast. This place is the total package.
Fantastic for Peace River
It is a great little coffee shop but being from major cities you can tell is not the greatest compare to some of the coffee shops in urban centres. But for rural communities like Peace River, the café is the best that I have come across. They sell postcards from local artists which I thought was original and creative. They also have local bands, but I have personally never attended one. They have a wide selection of hot drinks, from speciality coffees to apple cider which are always great. Staff are friendly.

Always fresh and everything's well made and the friendly staff make it a nice place to come all the time. Cinnamon buns are amazing !!
Homemade food
Always love going to this resturant. I usually drop by in the morning and get the cheese bagel with either ham or bacon. Also am a fan of their apple cider which they serve with a cinnamon stick. Always friendly and willing to chat with me!
Always excellent
This restaurant knows how to do things right. The soups are from scratch, the sandwiches healthy and delicious, the drinks are always good, and the desserts are yummy! The service is quick, friendly, and efficient. For a quick lunch of high quality this is definitely the place to go.
Great pit stop
Great staff, very good food. good place to meet and catch up with friends. Great atmosphere. Clean restrooms. They are big on homemade food. Love it.
Always get the carrot cake
Friendly fast and the prices are great for the quality you get. Freshly baked food everyday. Healthy and tasty. You can order something premade and fast or order something just gor you!
Good homemade bread
I dropped in for breakfast while on my way through Peace River. I just needed something quick, so I ordered the veggie breakfast sandwich they have on order. The sandwich was fresh and tasty (and it changed my mind about banana peppers), but the self-serve coffee was stale and not very good. The service was quick but not particularly friendly. I couldn't find the wifi password anywhere and was a little afraid to ask the staff. This place has a cafeteria-like atmosphere which doesn't do it a lot of favours. On the whole, I would definitely eat there again, but mostly because it's convenient and I like it better than the alternatives in Peace River.
A healthy alternative
There is great selections from soup, salads, sandwiches and drinks. All are freshly made daily or as you wait. Wait time can be a bit, esp when you come at lunch, but worth every healthy morsel. Eat there usually once a week. cafeteria style food.
Good healthy food
This cafe is always busy. The food is prepared daily and does not disappoint. We have eaten here a couple times in the past month and everything is delicious. If you are in town Saturday morning stop by for a cinnamon bun, but hurry because they will be gone by noon. They also have food for those sensitive to gluten or milk products, so just ask when ordering your coffee or meal. Try it, it's worth the stop!
Wonderful Cafe
This is a Wonderful little cafe. This is a great place to meet for coffee or lunch with friends. The menu is mostly homemade and varied.
Excellent Sandwich Shop and Coffee Shop
At one time every lucky town had a sandwich shop with unique treats on a bun. Other lucky towns had unique coffee shops. Chain subway restaurants and coffee chains have slowly pushed most out of business but not in Peace River. Java Domain has modern healthy sandwiches like healthy turkey and chicken panini as well as classics like Montreal smoked meat. Our party had all three and they were really good. We had the very good homemade carrot cake and a unique coconut macaron. The iced mocha and ice fog were both enjoyed by our party while others nearby had hot coffee offerings they said were great. We were told the menu changes every day but based on our visit you can't go wrong at Java Domain
Great product
The drink and food are great, with vegan and vegetarian choices. The day manager / dude was petulant and not that kind to his staff or receptive to acknowledging service errors. Made us very uncomfortable and unwelcomed when asking for our correct order.

Java Domain has great coffee and really tasty breakfast sandwiches. Stop by on Saturday for sweet cinnamon buns. Great, friendly service too.
Great service!
I went here for lunch, ordered the Sausage & Lentil Soup and Ham & Mushroom Quiche. The soup was awesome, except I was a little disappointed that there was no sausage. None. Not a single crumb of sausage. I looked in every spoonful. If it had been called Lentil & Tomato or Lentil Vegetable Soup I would not have known there was something missing. The Quiche tasted great too, but the crust was a little moist in the middle... maybe it was not blind-baked? the crust at the edge was crispy and wonderful. The service was great too, I will go back.
Superb
I was in town for a meeting, and I decided to walk over to this coffee shop for a drink and snack. The layout is attractive and roomie with big windows. The efficiency of the staff is great and they all look happy. I had a Chai Latte and a Black Bean Brownie. Both were delicious.
A reason to stay in the Peace region
Coming from Montreal, I am used to small cafes where you enjoy a latte, a sandwich and a warm bowl of soup. This is the only place in Peace River where I can find almost the atmosphere I used to find in the big city. The food is excellent! The owner being a baker, you can be assured that all of her deserts and breads are exquisite! It is also worth getting up early on saturday mornings to make sure you can grab a cinamon bun before they all disappear! The service is very good and I can even get service in french!
It's not Starbucks, it's better... it's local
Returned " home " for a visit and found this little gem... Great service, healthy vegan choices... It's wonderful so have our home town out do most big city cosmopolitan coffee bars in quality, friendly amazing service and atmosphere. Next time we'll have to spend a little more time. FYI... The vegan brownie and carrot cake are a must try! C and E
Where the locals go
Creative, homemade, earthy, very tasty foods. Menu changes daily. And of course there's the coffees.... Don't come if you need a private encounter- but you can come alone- because all your friends are there.
Staff go out of their way to be helpful and provide a personal touch
Stumbled into Java Domain by accident one morning. I was really surprised at how quickly I was made to feel at home. I ordered a tea and the server then told me they had some other special tea that they hadn't advertised but that was really good and loose leaf. So I had that. It is a really friendly place and the toilets are immaculately clean and well set out. There are also comfy sofas to relax. I would go there again for sure. It's probably the nicest place to have coffee in Peace River.
The continual mysterious appearance
Java Domain is a great coffee shop ideally located on the south end of Peace Rivers's main street. Very acceptable variety and quality of items on menu. Comfortable seating, chairs and tables, non obtrusive, relaxing decor and view of main street gives a pleasant ambience. Then, there is an ongoing mystery, the irregular appearance of small plastic apple / tomato like things with cryptic messages on them. Conspiracy theories abound.

This is what a coffee shop should be! Great fresh, homemade food and good hot drinks. Although not the most healthy choice I highly recommend the breakfast bagel.
Best Gluten-Free Baking!
I have a bit of a challenge eating out since I am extremly sensitive to gluten. Usually, gluten-free baking is grainy and dry. Not at Java! Everything I have tried (muffins and brownies) has been moist and delicious. This is truly a treat for those of us on a g-free diet! Fabulous! The brownies don't even need the frosting, they are that delicious!
