Game Weekend
Came up for EAGLES vs Redskins game. So glad to have a real Philly Cheesesteak. Live in VA and it is virtually impossible to get a good sandwich. Atlas give you a 12 " for a fair price. The Amoroso bread is a plus. Miss the Here's potato chips. I recommend to people in VA.
One of the city's best steaks!
Forget Pat and Jim's for the city's best steak. Both those places are highly overrated! I've been going to Atlas for years. Located in SW Philly right near the corner of 52nd and Baltimore, Atlas is a staple in the neighborhood if you truely want a great cheesesteak or hoagie. Walk-in, deliver or call for pick up and unlike most neighborhood take-out joints, they take credit cards! Food is always fresh, portion size is great and they use Amoroso rolls! They have the traditional steak shop take-out menu plus you can get sodas and chips too. Very basic menu but that's cool because there's not much to mess up on your order. Call ahead for pick-up and your food will be ready in 15-20 mins. Walk-in your order can take up to 20 mins depending on time of day and day of week. They deliver in a 3 mile radious and can take between 45 mins to an hour. I always get a plain steak with extra fried onions, mayo, ketchup, salt and pepper. Always done right but need to ask for extra mayo... lol. Your taste buds won't be disappointed. Drive on down, hop on the 34 or the 52 or call that order in and pick it up. They deliver Monday -Thurs 11-10pm, Fri, Sat and Sun 11-11pm. Go get you nom on!
