Keihan bus tours is for those who speak Japanese. No questions can be asked as the tour guide cannot speak English. Is was a confusing self guided tour of Arashiyama so you're better off spending your money elsewhere.
最悪です
最低でした。 バスの中は今ゼロコロナ対策が終わったばかりの外国人だらけ。バスの中でマスクは当然なし。大声で話し続け、バスガイドは注意もなし。 ２７人の観光客で日本語を話す乗客は数人でした。
今までに利用した数百社の中で、一番良心的な旅行バス会社です
総じて、口コミしている人には評判は良いみたいですね。わたし的にも「旅行社」「バス会社」としては極めて良質の会社です。コロナ禍以降、コースが極めて少ないのには不満だが・・・。滋賀県向け、奈良県向けとか近畿各県へのルート設定が出来るのであれば、もっとバラエティに富んだコースを作ってほしい。何年も前から利用、活用しており、数えてないが、多分、３０回以上は利用しているのでは・・・。現在の社長か以前 (何代か前) の社長かは不確定だが、経営者自らが自社のバスに乗車して客と一緒の時間を共有されていたのは素晴らしいことだと思っていた。親会社からの転出か、出向かは不詳だが、天下りとは思えない商売熱心さを感じた。この会社で一番良いのは、例え参加者が一人であってもコースを催行することであり、私達のグループとしては信頼度は全国一 (奈良定期観光バスも同様だが) です。それだけに社内的にもコースの設定と日付・曜日設定には優れた企画力が求められますが。儲け主義だけが露骨に前面に出ていて、そこそこの申込数があっても採算だけが全ての価値判断基準で催行中止にしたり、体よく、他の日の同様コースに振り向けたりしている旅行社が多々ある (〇ラ〇ックスとかクラ〇〇ーリズムとか・・) なかでは極めて良心的、実際に一人とか数人だけで、どう控えめに考えても赤字必至の状態でも催行してくれて気の毒に感じる時や申し訳ないと思う時もあった。他府県からの人向けの定番の観光コースだけでなく、京都人も多数参加することを前提にしたコース設定にも期待している。
紅葉だけではない「ライトアップ北野天満宮＋しょうざん」コースに参加しました
1泊2日の京都観光で初日に京都駅烏丸口周辺を散策していた際に京都定期バスの案内チラシを見て「ライトアップ北野天満宮＋しょうざん」コースを予約し参加しました。洛北・鷹ヶ峯「しょうざん」では、夕食として「懐石風京料理」をお楽しんだ後に舞妓さんの京舞を鑑賞・質疑応答‣記念撮影し、ライトアップされた紅葉の庭園を散策しました。それから「北野天満宮」に移動して輝くようにライトアップされた錦秋の庭園を散策しました。ガイドさんの説明を聞きながらあっという間の5時間強でした。
紅葉・桜・GWのトロッコ列車＆保津川下りコースは超おすすめ！
紅葉・桜シーズンやGWは、トロッコ列車も保津川下りも、個人予約はかなり困難になります。個人だと、ほぼ、当日券狙いしかなく、それでも２～３時間待ちは覚悟しなければなりません。 ゆえに、我が家は京阪バスの定期観光バス「トロッコ列車＆保津川下りコース」を予約し、紅葉ベストシーズンの11月下旬の土曜日という、「京都が一年で一番混む日」といわれる日に、「待ち時間なし」のストレスフリーな旅を満喫しました。 当日は好天に恵まれて、紅葉狩りには絶好の行楽日和でしたから、嵯峨野・嵐山もすごい混雑ぶり。しかし、観光バスツアー参加者は、トロッコも保津川下りも、２～3時間待ちの長蛇の列を横目に、待ち時間ゼロで乗れ、荷物もバスで預かってくれるし、乗場や京都駅までも専用バスの送迎付きで、ほんとに楽々でした。ご年配の方やお子様連れの方に、ぜひお薦めしたいです。 紅葉シーズンで一人11000円程度になりますが、待ち時間なし、やアクセスサポートの充実を考慮すれば、納得のお値段です。
日帰り定期観光バス 清水寺、三十三間堂、金閣寺、嵐山コース
夫婦で初めての、京都観光なので京都の代表的な観光をと思いコースを申し込みました。バスガイドさんの分かり易い説明や裏情報、金閣寺で夫婦2人の写メも撮って頂き初心者でも十分楽しめました。また、次回も利用したいです。
Very disappointing - avoid, the English commentary is very poor!
As we only had very limited time in Kyoto and have previously used these type of buses to see some of the key attractions in a short time frame, we decided this was a good opportunity. We were much mistaken. I appreciate that the we are in a different country and can't expect that everyone speaks English, but we booked this as it advertised the taped commentary in other languages. This was virtually non existent, it was very limited and probably 75% of our time was spent listening to very annoying music whilst the tour guide clearly had a lot to say about the areas we were driving through and some of the incredible sites but nobody within the company had the deemed it important to put the information onto the recording for the foreign guests! It cost us over £40 - for what we got out of it we would have been better just using public transport.
Tour guide only in Japanese
The guide on this tour didn't speak English. It was very frustrating because I didn't understand any of the explanations about the places we visited.
三大名所
前回は一日観光コースで一緒したバスガイドさんと３か月後半日コースで再会。今回もだとすごいな、と思いましたが、別のガイドさん。まだ若い方でした。前回はいなかった外国の方たちもいました、スケッチブックに想定されている質問の回答があらかじめ書いてあり対応。スペイン語圏の方もいて、なかなか大変だと思いました。
アクセス悪い所に便利
新幹線降りて出発迄15分なので、予約しませんでしたが、ギリギリ間に合い切符購入しました。 行き先は嵯峨野、高雄 神護寺はアクセス不便で、なかなか行けませんでした。 ガイドさんは話し方も声もわかりやすい。 昼食ももみじやさんで、良かったです。 全部で13000歩だそう。 たくさん歩いても、すぐに座れ、次のポイント迄運ばれることが、疲れとれる利点です。
久しぶりに行きました
久しぶりの定期観光バス利用でした。以前一日観光コースで一緒したバスガイドさんと今回の半日コースで３か月振りに再開。さすがにドライバーは違いましたが。街とその歴史の知識は意外な歴史を教えてくれ、感激。寝ている間もありませんでした。ドライバーも終始にこやかな接客でとても好感をもてました。機会があれば何度でも利用したいと思います。
スカイバス京都 ぐるっと一周ドライブ

トロッコ、保津川下り、嵐山観光を効率よく観光できました
保津川下り、トロッコ電車、天龍寺と竹林の道を１日で効率よくこなすために利用しました。個人でトロッコ電車と保津川下りを利用する場合、待ち時間を要することかありますが、このツアーは京都駅からバスでトロッコ嵯峨駅、そしてトロッコ電車に乗って亀岡まで。ここからまたバスに乗り保津川下りの出発点まで移動。 待つことなくスムーズに移動できました。 保津川下りの後は嵐山で自由散策でしたが、 既定の時間よりも長く滞在したい人は連絡の上、可能でした。 これによって、自分のリズムで観光することができるわけです。 今回の旅行の目的にぴったりのツアーで助かりました。
オープントップバス
京都市内をオープントップバスで観光しました。 金閣寺、清水寺を散策できるコースでした。 ゴールデンウイーク前日だったので お天気が良く とても暑かったです。 帽子 飲み物必須です！ 季節の良い時なら とても気持ちいいと思います。真夏はオススメできないかな?
Full day tour
Sites are wonderful but Tour is really for Japanese. Headphones are provided for English but our guide spoke nonstop in Japanese into mic and we could not hear recorded commentary. Most of the actual walking is self guided. We were all fit so not a problem with time, but could be challenging for others. Not value for money as you are really just paying for transport to the sites.
京の冬の旅ー定期観光バスで巡ります
定期観光バスに乗るのは初めてです。冬以外は貸自転車で個人的に回るのですが、さすがに冬は寒いかと、初体験です。 「京の鳴き龍と庭園の美をたずねて」というコースで、相国寺法堂・方丈ー六盛で昼食ー平安神宮の尚美館ー伏見稲荷大社のお茶屋ー泉涌寺の舎利殿、いずれも特別公開・特別拝観です。 どれも良かったのですが、それぞれ観光が大半で自由時間が少ないため、例えば、伏見稲荷の千本鳥居は駆け足で、泉涌寺では朱印状をいただき、楊貴妃像を見るのに端から端まで走り回る、大変でした。 鳴き龍も、相国寺では並んで順番待ちのため、手を打った反響音が分散してしまいます。泉涌寺の案内人さんはさすがでした。一人一人最高の場所に導き、パーンと手打ちすると、ビーイインと体を抜けます、良かった。 バスのガイドさんがとてもきれいな口調で説明されグーでした。効率よく巡ることができました。当日は気温２２度, 暑いぐらいで車内はクーラー全開でした。
Kyoto 's Best Three Tourist Attractions
Only do these tours if you can understand Japanese. We did a half day tour visiting three temples. The tour guide spoke in Japanese which we did not understand. We were given headphones so we could listen to English audio. This was not good as the English audio was very sparse and clearly did not contain anywhere near the amount of information that the tour guide was giving others on the tour. A dissapointing tour and too expensive considering the lack of English information available.
楽しかったー！
貴船神社と叡山電車のもみじのトンネルがメインでしたが、夜で外はあまり見えないにもかかわらずバスガイドさんが沿道の説明を色々してくれて、個人ではなかなか気付かないような話もあって道中もとても楽しかったです。紅葉のトンネルは貴船から乗ると満員なのでバスで貴船から鞍馬まで迂回して始発に乗れたのでとてもいい席が取れました。いつもは歩いての京都巡りがメインですが、今回京都で初めて京阪バスのバスツアーを利用しました。バスガイドさんの説明もためになるし、なにより楽ちんでバスツアーもいいなと思いました。
Not good for the price
The tour is only in Japanese not a word in English. This tour is not for any elderly as the tour needs you to climb steps and uphill. the tour guide said depart at 450 Pm. At 1715 hrs we realised the bus had left from the place we were dropped. we had to ask the security at the bus park. We came back to hotel in a taxi. we paid neary 4600 yen x 4 for the tour. the only English speaking staff are at the Kyoto station booth who help you buy the ticket and bus boarding. Guides speaker volume too loud in the bus.
Not comfortable for tourist
I think the capacity of the bus is not enough to accomodate the numbers of tourist. We had to stand and the space in the bus very squeezy. It would be better for somebody incharge of the transportation system to limit the number of people in the bus.
訪問地は限られていますが・・
京都出身で７０年近くも一度も中断することなく京都に居住していて、しかも、府内の社寺は余程のローカルな場所以外は全部、複数回参詣、参拝している私としては、この観光手段について評価するのは極めて困難です。が、京都に初めてと云う地方の方、外人の方、せいぜい京都は数回目と云う方々にはこのバスは「極めて良い」観光手段です。知りえる限り、これほど効率的で、安価で、便利で、著名観光地を網羅出来て、食事等の心配も無用 (食事付コース) な観光手段は他にはありません。他社でも色々と工夫してコース設定したりして運営されていますが、市内、府内を網羅している数百のコースを有するのはこの手段のみです。定期的に「季刊」でコースや利用案内冊子を発行しています。外人さん専用の英語対応のコースもあります上手に活用すれば何回かの利用で京都府内は一通り観光出来ることとなります。私は利用そのものは１０数回ですが、自家用車で行って駐車場満車の時間待ちの車を横目に、さっさと駐車場へも入れて、入場券もセットされていて、時々は施設側の説明人も手配されている、この観光手段は公平に見て、素晴らしいといつも思っている。ただ1点、ご朱印等は自分でもらうのが少し面倒なだけ・・・。これを一括で代行してくれれば１００点以上の満点。満員の時もあれば、ガラガラで商売になっているの? と云う時もある。今回の利用は木津川市方面と奈良の１日コース。定期観光バスとしては「初めて」実施するコース、しかも本日が第一回目とのこと。四国や西国の遍路バスのようなバタバタとしたものではなく (旅行社の企画力の無さが原因) 、ゆっくりと拝観することが出来ました。食事も天平クラブで (これは大した内容では無かったが) ゆっくりと・・・。ここでもただ１点、春日大社の案内の神官が「時と場合」の判断をしない人で炎天下、猛暑の参道で立ったままで数十分、２回も延々と口頭のみで説明されたのにはほとほと呆れたが・・・。このコースの他の部分では全体的には良かった。今後も、市内在住者向けに、奈良、滋賀、和歌山、兵庫等々の近隣県への新規コースの企画、開催をお願いしたい。現状はまだ数コースしかないので・・・。
快適なツアーでした
四年前から年４回ほど京都旅行を楽しむようになりました。今年のGWでは、春期非公開文化財特別公開(城南宮、石清水八幡宮、恵福寺、法界寺)と、新緑の貴船・鞍馬・白龍園の二つのコースを廻りました。貴船・鞍馬・白龍園は過去にも廻ったことがありますが、季節が異なっていたので、今回は春の新緑を堪能することができました。一箇所をじっくり長い時間かけて味わいたい方には不向きかもしれませんが、一日に効率よく廻りたい方には定期観光ツアーはお薦めです。ガイドさんの知識も凄く、このツアーをきっかけに、少し勉強して、次回は訪問先を絞り込んでじっくりと見学するようにしています。 いろいろバリエーションに富んだコースがありますので、コースの違い、同じコースでも季節の違い等々、楽しみ方に工夫ができます。ただ、一箇所での滞在時間が短いので、足腰に自信がない方にはお薦めできません。
快適でした
久しぶりに定期観光バスを利用しました。バスガイドさんの街とその歴史の知識はプロだなと思いました。バスガイドさんだけでなく運転士さんも終始にこやかに接客されておりとても好感をもてました。また機会があれば利用したいと思えました。
初詣がらみのツアーはきつい
大晦日に三十三間堂と伏見稲荷の約２時間半のコース、また元旦には特別コースと設定されている「北野天満宮、下賀茂神社(京風おせち昼食付き)」の約５時間のコースに 連日参加しました。三十三間堂はゆったりと巡ることができましたが、伏見稲荷は参拝客だけでなく外国人観光客多数が押し寄せ、押し合いへし合い歩くことに。ガイドさんも皆が付いてきているのか確認している様子もなく進まれるので、当方には足の悪い家族もおり、ついていくのに苦労しました。あまりの混雑で奥の千本鳥居に行くのは断念しましたが、同じツアーの方の中にも諦めた方々がおりました。ツアー主催者にはもう少し参加者に情報を伝えるとか、ガイドさんも大変でしょうが同行者確認の必要があるのではと感じました。余談ですが、バス降り場からツアー主催者とは無関係のボランティアの男性が我々にずっと付き添ってくれ、とても助かり感謝しています。 元旦の初詣ツアーは、伏見稲荷以上の混雑と混乱ぶりで２ヶ所目の下賀茂神社では途中で参加を諦めました。また神泉苑平八での昼食は、値段に見合わずしかも冷めたものを 提供されがっかり、というか腹が立ちました。京都定期観光バス、年末年始のコース選びは慎重にとの教訓を得ました。
スムーズなツアー
紅葉の季節にトロッコ列車と保津川下りのツアーを申し込みました。個人で手配すればなかなかとれませんが、ツアーですので、とてもスムーズでした。ガイドさんのお話もとてもよく、段取りよかったです。色々なツアーがあるので、また別のツアーも利用してみたくなりました。
Unimpressed Not good for non Japanese
Arriving Kyoto station early afternoon, I passed there kiosk and saw there were opening in an evening tour. I stopped to ask and the one I had inquired about was Japanese only. They recommend one that had translation devices. Tour I took was Gion Maiko Show and Kyoto Cuisine which had these devices. The devices were worthless.. we drove through the city passing temple after temple as the live guide was non stop. We would get a sentence once every 15 minutes. I was enjoying the non stop Japanese so much I wrote this on the tour bus. That should express the value of the actual tour for a non Japanese. The meal was good. The performances were entertaining we went to Gion Corner an English program was available for the sections spoken in Japanese For a note the tour was 8120¥ The show tickets were 2500¥ dinner would have cost about 2000 - 3000 ¥ The rest was for the tour and transport. If you don't want the hassle of getting around it might be worth it.
Kyoto world heritage tour hop on / off
I love hop ons / off. I get to see the city and listen to a little history and stories about what i am looking at. First if you're not Japanese you have to pay to listen to the audio as well as leave a deposit. In every city i have ever done a hop on hop off the ear phone are free and there are many languages to choose. I've done Paris, Florence, Austria, etc. The little stories were about a minute and were worthless info. The bus stops were in places without shade. Bus is only once an hour. One bus just passed me and left me to stand for another hour in the hot sun. Best solution get a day bus pass and do your own thing.
ガイドさんも観光した場所も大満足
平等院を中心に洛北にあるお寺を5つも回りました。ガイドさんは若いのによく勉強していて、移動中も色々な興味深いお話をしてくれました。また、お寺からお寺をバスでさくっと連れて行ってくれるのは、梅雨で蒸し暑いこの季節にはとてもありがたかったです。お寺によっては住職さんが面白いお説教をしてくださり、大満足１日バスツアーでした。
今回、初の試み
亀岡方面を巡る、期間限定のツアーに参加しました。 行ったことのない場所を案内され、とても良かったです。 が、酒造が運営しているのでしょうか? お山の中に建てられた桟敷席での食事があったんですが、他の料理もまあまあ美味しかった。 なのに何故そこで、生の栗を炭火でジリジリと焼かねばならなかったんでしょう? 確かに時期的には栗です。 が、何も生栗でなくても良かったかと思います。 それ以外はとてもたのしめました。
Don't waste your time unless you're a sprinter & a mind-reader
We booked the afternoon tour that leaves Kyoto Station at 12.30. We were with my Japanese Mum, so when the tour guide asked if we wanted translation devices, she said no. Big mistake # 1. With the device comes a pack with greater detail about where you'll be visiting. Throughout the tour, the guide spoke so often (& so quickly) Mum couldn't keep up. The first stop, Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavillion) is rushed - you get about half an hour to fight your way through the crowds, snap a few pics & then hit the shops before racing back down the steps to the waiting bus. We got furious taps on her watch from our tour guide for making her 2 minutes behind schedule. Then we headed over to Kiyomizu-dera temple. We parked at the bottom of the hill & were told the bus would pick us up at a second car park closer to Kodai-ji temple. Big mistake # 2. All we had was the vague outline of the tour map - no street names, numbers or indications of approximately how long it would take to get to the second car park - that none of us had ever visited before. We were given 2 hours to go through the area. We walked our way around Kyiomizu-dera & gave ourselves an hour to find our way to the second car park. There are lots of steps, plenty of hills & a huge amount of walking - Mum is in her 80s & has a bad knee so we had to take things slowly. But even allowing an hour (with a drink stop) wasn't enough. We asked directions along the way, but we still couldn't find the second bus stop, and ended up missing the pick-up time & point. There was nothing for it but to catch a taxi back to Kyoto Station to retrieve the belongings we'd foolishly left on the bus. The taxi fare back to the station was approx ¥1500, & I wanted to express my displeasure to the tour guide about our experience but Mum said that's not how things are done in Japan. The tour guide also 'forgot' any English at this point, & although she was aware that I was not a happy customer, she just spoke to my mother instead. Having received exemplary service on our trip so far, this was a total surprise. Not only were we supposed to be sprinters to do the tour, we were meant to be mind-readers as well. There was no way for us to contact the tour guide for directions while at the temples, & she took no account of slow or elderly customers on the bus. I'm not sure where her customer service training was done, but she made me feel like I was an annoyance, not a paying customer. I would not recommend you use this company to do this tour, but instead work out where you want to go & get a taxi for each trip. If you've got a few weeks before you travel, book a personal tour with one of the taxi companies. We were too late to do this, but saw plenty of people having detailed explanations from their drivers, rather than a hard time for messing up the schedule, like we did. This was just the half-day tour, so I pity those who did a full day with this company - half a day was more than we could manage.
Good samples of Kyoto to first time visitors
JTB Sunrise Tour one day course was very enjoyable, great introduction for the first time visitors. Niño-Jo Castle, Golden Pavilion, Gosho (Imperial Palace) in the morning, Heian Jingu shrine, Sanjusangen-do temple, and Kiyomizudera-Dera temple in the afternoon. Sure, I would like to add To-Ji temple near JR Kyoto station, Ryoan-Ji temple rock garden, etc, but then you may not have enough time to appreciate each of the sites. This tourallocated reasonable time at each site. English of our guide was sufficient. If you stay for a few days and have more time, get a day pass, and visit other attractions using bus and metro. the bus stops pretty close to the site though it takes more time to get there. We walked to To-Ji temple when we got Kyoto station late morning, leaving luggage in the coin-locker (500 yens). For Ryoan-Ji temple, we missed a bus and had to wait for the next one for 15 minutes from Kawaramachi-Oike area, then 30+ minutes of scenic :) ride. Like that.
Rush, rush, rush
My wife liked it better than I did, but I'm writing the review. We did the half day tour covering three shrines. It included an audio guide, only or on the bus and some printed literature in several languages. While the bus navigated the streets the audio guide would tell you a bit about the history or some of the features whew passed. Unfortunately the tour guide was speaking Japanese over the speakers in the bus, making it hard for me to hear the audio guide. T the temples we were warned several times to be back on time or the bus would leave without us. At the first two shrines we essentially had to shuffle along with the crowds, taking pictures along the way. I guess we will be able to look at the pictures to see what we saw. At the last temple we were taken to a restaurant for lunch. My wife and I had brought a meal so we asked the guide when and where to meet. We were there five minutes early with another couple. After 10 minutes waiting we realized that we were on our own. Made our way up to the temple area, a quick circuit and back to the bus. I expected more for a guided tour, especially for the price. Still, it did get us around and into the cultural landmarks.
Really expensive for what you get
We did a day tour with a tour bus company and saw 6 temples / shrines.. At some we would have liked to look around longer, and others we saw ourselves on the next and previous days. A much cheaper option is to get out your guidebooks or get on the net, decide which of the many places appeal, and get taxis from one to the next. CONTRARY TO BELIEF TAXIS ARE NOT EXPENSIVE IN JAPAN! And they are waiting outside all the tourist spots. For two people you would save around $100 doing to this way. The guide's commentary was patchy o say the least.
Great Half Day Tour
Great Half Day tour from 1030am -3.30 pm. They bring you to Kinkaku Ji, Ginkaku Ji and Kiyumizu dera. Though a bit rush as you stay about 40-45 mins inside each temple. The guide is fine but speaks entirely in Japanese in the bus. You have English Audio Guide in the bus if you choose the AW Tour. You save the time and hassle by paying about US 40 pax service. The tour includes all entrance fees and transportation. You get free explanation on other places of interest in Kyoto that the bus goes pass.. on the way to the 3 temples. Great Tour ! You can have more time to shop and go to other parts of Kyoto. Look for the English website for tours with English audio guides.
美しい！！。ライトアップされた嵐山宝厳院の紅葉
京都の紅葉を堪能した昨年の秋、高台寺は人・人・人で歩くのも大変、永観堂も、清水寺も有名どころは紅葉より人で疲れたので、次の日は、定期観光バスに乗り、ライトアップされた『大覚寺と嵐山宝厳院』へ行きました。これは良かったです。特に嵐山宝厳院は工夫されたライトアップで鮮やかに池と紅葉と建物が映し出され、まさに芸術作品です。昨年から夜の公開を始めたとのことで、あまり知られていなかったのでしょうか。ゆっくりと光の中の紅葉を楽しむことができました。ラッキーでした。 定期観光バスは忙しくて自分の思うように行動できないのが難ですが、欲張らないコースで一つ所に時間の余裕があり、楽しく夜の散策ができました。

京都定期観光バスの「トロッコ列車と保津川下り」に参加しました。 乗船時間１時間40分ぐらい、ということだったので 行く前は「そんなに長く乗ってられるのか」「飽きるのでは」等色々不安でしたが、 いざ乗船したら・・・とても楽しくて時間が経つのがあっという間でした。 (正直、嵐山に着いたときは「もう着いちゃったの? ? ? 」と思いました) 急流あり、船頭さんの楽しいお話＆パフォーマンスあり、で 本当に楽しい時間を過ごすことが出来ました。 子供(幼児)と２人で乗船したのですが、子供も「お船、楽しかった！」と言っていました。 例年なら丁度紅葉の時期のはず・・・だったのですが少し時期がずれたようで 燃えるような紅葉は残念ながら見られませんでした。 またいつか紅葉に時期に乗船したいと思います。
