Extremely disappointing and unaccommodating
Really disappointed with this pub. We wanted to watch the football and bring a dog with us. I phoned five days in advance to check they'd be playing the game and they'd be ok with the dog. Spoke to a really friendly lady who said both would be fine. When we arrived, we went into the saloon part (which is dog friendly) and asked if the game could be put on. Lady serving said she wouldn't be able to put the game on as a group were about to use it for a meeting. We explained our disappointment and frustration due to being told in advance all would be ok. Had they communicated with us when I phoned that a meeting would be taking place, we would have made other plans. The lady serving was rude and clearly couldn't care less. Her only suggestion was to sit in the smoking area (far too cold for that!) and wasn't apologetic in the slightest. Fortunately for us there are plenty of other lovely pubs in Faversham that we'll use next time instead of this pub.
WILL NOT BE RETURNING!
Landlord rude. I had my grandson's with us, there was some toys in the corner of the pub. The boys started to play with them, the landlord came over and snatched the toys from them. He said these belong to my granddaughter. Well don't leave the toys out!!! I believe most children would go over and start to play. We live in faversham and will not be returning. Much better places to visit and enjoy in faversham.
Best avoided
Best avoided - so many other pubs in Faversham area that are really great and far far better. Can't say more than that.
England Rugby
Contacted the owner in advance of a weekend break in Faversham to enquire if England game was being televised, which it was. One of the bars was sectioned off exclusively for the game. Friendly crowd and great afternoon despite a disappointing result.
VERY PLEASANT PUB
I visited the Bull Inn on NYE at lunchtime as I was down in Faversham and wanted to catch 1st half of Rangers / Celtic as its the only pub with SKY. Very homely pub and friendly-their web shows a photo of cat who is friendly and they have 2 little dogs as well. Nice place to have a drink even in winter. Its not too far from station about 10 mins walk. Pleasant staff and welcoming. See website for photos.
Looking for a great pub
Look no further. A cracking boozer with lovely locals & great staff & owners. The best place to watch the football in Faversham & a lovely garden & covered smoking area (with a tv) ! Wished I lived nearer but my missus would never see me (that's got me thinking).
Hidden gem of a ber garden!!
This is such a relaxed and friendly pub to visit! Bar staff were very friendly and chuldren were welcomed warmly! Stepping onto the patio, it has been created beautifully considering its tiny size until you venture out back to a gem of a beer garden! Its enormous and our chuldren loved running around, there was even a slide for them to play on. Overall a great relaxed pub with hidden qualities which makes you want to go back again! Xx
You can't complain about a beer garden with a TV outside
Not the most ideal location from the town centre. Toilets are a brown suite with no soap and an actual hand towel. The beer garden is small with a fish tank and a full tv playing the football. Bar staff were friendly enough. This review is far too nice compared to our actual experience!!
Another fine Faversham Inn
Walked into a good welcome from a cold rainy night, lounge is to the left, nice warming fire, good ales and beers
visit during hop festival
Called in for a quick drink in this unpretentious pub Despite being busy served quickly by helpful young bar man Gifted musicians playing in bar violin banjo penny whistle etc. pleasant background music Will visit again Busy with relaxed looking customers
