Relaxing in Throckmorton Texas
This hotel is like stepping back in time yet with modern conveniences. Each time we're here the place gets better. Great current owner who is related to the original owner. The Lazy-T is extremely comfortable and has several rooms. We enjoy every time we're here.
Best Friend's Wedding
Beautiful house with private rooms. Comfy beds, dark rooms for sleeping in, area to get toiletries in case you forget something.. We had the whole house to ourselves.. It was lovely! Owner was super nice and available at any time!
Great place to stay with history and charm
With all hotels in the area fully booked, we gave the Lazy T a call. Donna was friendly, helpful, and kind in arranging a last minute reservation. The house is well-kept and full of interesting history. The room was a good size and very clean, as was the bathroom. While it wasn't a planned stay, we were pleasantly surprised and would definitely recommend for other travelers. Much better than chain hotels!
Sandhill crane hunt
This was such a surprise! What a homey festive warm place!! So much history and fun things to admire in the house! I can't say enough! It would be the ultimate place to gather an entire family for any event or holiday❤🎄🎁Hostess was so friendly you'd think you were long time friends!! Over 5 stars!!!!!
On a solo motorcycle trip from Ft. Worth up Jacksboro Hwy to 380 West I ended up in Throckmorton on a Friday night
I stopped at the Allsups in town to ask the attendant if they could recommend a place for the night. As usual the attendant was glad to help and had a great recommendation when they referred me to the Lazy T Lodge. This is an incredible 100 year old property that has been beautifully restored and filled with antiques and Texas decor. All fixtures and faucet fittings are new and evrything works great. It turned out that I was the only guest that night so i had the entire Lodgre to myself. Dinner in the Dining Room and a Cigar on the Vefanda. What a great property!
Roaming Texas
The Lazy T Lodge is a welcome change of lodging. The decor of the common rooms is antiques and Texas! The rooms are ready for lots of family and the price is great! My room had a full bed and a set of bunk beds with western themed wallpaper and galvanized tin walls in the bathroom! The owner has the greatest Texas drawl voice and did most the decor himself!
Step Back In Time!!!!
This hotel / lodge is a block or two off the main road in this tiny town that has a little over 800 people in it and one blinking light in the center of town. Lazy T has 10 rooms, has bathrooms, a kitchen area, sitting area, recreation area, and large porches. Seems like the owner Robert said the building is over 100 years old. The place was rented out for a wedding before we arrived yet I hear this is where a lot of hunters stay too. I know we will be back. The town has a great Mexican food restaurant and some other places. Everything seems convenient for such a small town. Thanks you Robert and Throckmorton for making us feel welcome!
