Beide keren hier heerlijk gegeten, vriendelijke bediening. Lamb en battered cod, netjes verzorgd en gewoon zalig. Pork rack en de chicken burger beide met moeite op gekregen. Grote porties!

Prices change dramatically depending on staff on shift won't go in again visited previous years seems to have got worse
Worst place in Malta
Shocking place !!!! 40 mins waiting at table never acknowledged at all. Asked for service and got verbally abused and sworn at when I said I will go elsewhere !!
Holiday
Fantastic bar, entertainment on nightly, staff are friendly and good, can sit inside or out, drinks and prices are excellent, highly recommended, had some good nights in here, be back next year
Holiday enjoyment
A absolutely amazing place to enjoy yourself something happening every night if you like karaoke you will love this bar. They also serve lovely food and cater for large groups, we called in several nights during our holiday we both had really enjoyable experiences we will continue to use this fantastic bar when we on holiday

Siamo andati con amici per il compleanno il 29 settembre 2024, hanno fatto pagare il conto doppio viso che era già pagato prima anche dai 2 persone alla cassa. Non lo consiglio per niente e controllate sempre quando pagate. 🤬

Watsons Well Worth It
We dined here and must say all 4 of us were very satisfied with our differing choices. The food was excellent in all aspects such as quality, presentation and price leaving us all very satisfied customers and would highly recommend
The Full Chicken burger is a beast, ribs and wings went down a Storm
Great little venue, we ate three meals here during our stay. We had different staff each night and they were all attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes. They were working hard to keep the tables clear. We came at different times of the evening and it became obvious that this was popular with people for their evening meal and the entertainment.
Average bar above average prices
Don't know if it's just expensive or the bar staff just ripped me off. Been in Malta for two weeks and three more to go. I have some idea on prices now. Won't be calling back. 🙂
Great for food and drinks
Great pub, friendly and clean. Drinks are great and the food was reasonably priced and very, very tasty and good portion sizes. Nice to sit in the sun at the front of the bar on a sunny day. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful too. Should we return to the area we will deffo return here.
Great night out
Lovely bar with great atmosphere. The live music performances are great. The marina pizza is amazing lovely thin crispy base and delicious seafood topping one of the best pizzas I've ever had reasonably priced and probably twice as much seafood than you normally get 😋bar staff very friendly and hard working as it's a very popular bar and diner.
Qualité et ambiance excellentes
Je recommande ce pub. L'accueil était au rendez-vous. Les plats sont fait maison, et juste excellents : bonne orientation, produits frais, copieux, prix mini. La qualité est excellente. Tous les soirs : chanteur musique a thème, ambiance sympathique. J'y retournerai et et recommande sans hésiter
Toller Pub-Abend mit Live-Musik
Tolles Pub in einer Seitenstrasse. Bei unserem Besuch hat für uns alles bestens gepasst. Grosser Hunger, Bier und Live-Musik. Service und Essen waren sehr gut. Faire Preise. Sehr empfehlenswert!
Nice place
A nice restaurant.. decent food & drinks. Pizza lovely - couldn't finish it, had to share! They had elvis tribute 1 night & the place was rockin'.

Family Holiday
We were staying at a nearby hotel but spent a lot of time in Watson's. The staff here are so friendly and our children made friends. Great drinks menu and the food is fantastic.... We enjoyed our time here so much that we are looking to book our next stay at the Euro Club hotel above which is owned by the same family. Brilliant place 👍
Almost 5 stars
A lovely place, only not receiving 5 stars because of the rudeness of one or two of the male staff. Some excellent entertainment. Very reasonable prices. Female staff very polite and helpful. Owner a lovely chap.
Horrible food and expensive drinks
Just had the worst Carbonara I've ever had anywhere, looked like the sauce was made from water and pieces of bacon fat. Pint of Cisk €4, half pint of pale ale €2.50. Wont be back, ever.
Elvis Tribute / Karoake - it had it all
What a great bar, lots going on whether Karoake or an Elvis tribute singer Joshuel who was amazing I think we missed the best night with him which wodl have been the Friday but still a great singer

Siamo venuti per caso, e ci siamo trovati così bene da essere tornati anche il giorno dopo. Personale gentilissimo, accogliente e simpatico, cibo buonissimo e servizio rapido. Super approvato!
Deafening Entertainment
The venue is spacious and clean. The drinks are reasonably priced. Sadly, the entertainment volume was just overkill. The Watson hosted singers outside, the volume was deafening, even inside. I don't know how anyone in or outside could maintain a conversation or how residents / tourists could sleep. The Apple Watch Noise app notified me that the volume (at a distance) was 98dB loud, which long term could damage your hearing.
fantastic staff, fantastic food
The restaurant is located next to a hotel and offers a delicious choice of food and drinks. Travelling alone I was made to feel very welcome by the attentive staff. I sat outside but if you want to escape the heat there is a beautiful air conditioned inside restaurant. I ate here on several occasions during my stay and every meal was delicious, the pasta carbonara was creamy and had delicious crispy ham which added an extra mouthwatering zing to the meal, if you opt for a salad I can highly recommend the tuna, halloumi and egg which was fresh and crisp with a drizzle of delicious balsamic dressing and a good sprinkling of olives however, it is not for a snack, this is a huge salad which you will not want to stop eating. On my third visit I decided to go for the pulled pork burger, a fresh bread roll filled with melt in your mouth pulled pork, extra tasty smoked bacon, cheese, coleslaw and crispy onion bits, this was a taste extravaganza, this is served with crispy fries and creamy coleslaw. The restaurant is busy at lunchtime and in the evening the atmosphere is lively and fun, the staff go out of their way to ensure you are looked after which makes your whole experience fantastic, well done to the staff who really earn their money.
Felt like my local
We didn't eat here but spent many an evening enjoying the entertainment provided. Friendly bar staff and management who were very attentive.
Niet voor een tweede keer
Helaas was dit een aardige misser. We hadden 2 pizza's en 1 pasta besteld. 1 pizza en pasta waren echt niet lekker. Pasta kwam naar onze mening direct uit een kant en klaar pakje en op de pizza zat kaas wat meer op rubber leek. Sfeer in het restaurant is prima en de bediening aardig.

War hier zu Mittag einkehren als ich vom 'Apothekenbesuch zurück zum Dolmen-Hotel hier vorbeikam. Viele einheimische locken mich immer in ein Lokal. Der 'Entschluss war richtig. Das Bier gab es in Pint-Größe, ein leckeres Einheimisches und die Karte sah ganz vernünftig für dies Lokal an der Straße aus. Gegessen habe ich eine Pizza Mexicana mit mehreren Sonderwünschen, die anstandslos aufgenommen und erfüllt wurden. Die Pizza war ausgesprochen gut, sowohl belegt als auch geschmacklich, der Teig dünn und knusprig, am Rand aufgebördelt. Sie war vorgeschnitten, damit am Tisch keine Unglücke passieren. Ich war rundum zufrieden im Gegensatz zu meinem Hotel.
Pas d'acceuil
Je met une étoiles car on ne peut pas mettre zéro, nous sommes arrivés dans le pub et personne derrière le bar, ensuite celle qui semblait être la serveuse est passé derrière le bar prendre on ne sais quoi et est retourné s'asseoir à une table dans la salle sans un bonjour et sans nous proposés une table ou autre. Nous sommes donc ressortis avec l'impression de déranger la dame dans son salon. Bref la seul et unique mauvaise expérience de notre séjour aura été de vouloir boire un verre dans cet endroit.
Love it
I have been here many many times while visiting Malta over the years! Great atmosphere and drinks. Elvis is fantastic. Our favourite meal is their English breakfast! It will continue to be my favourite pub in Buggiba!
Food
Just had food. Not good is all I will say. Burger taste of nothing. Plain it should not have been covered in sauce. Stick to just drinks in future. Other half had spicy wedges covered in sauce. disgusting Chicken wings cooked in fat. Definitely stick to just drinks.
Great pub nice staff
This bar is attached to the euro hotel in qawra malta, friendly staff, entertainment on the weekend, food a little expensive but a nice place to chill out, and meet new friends, great for the bus station, just down the road oh and around the corner is a nice Chinese, not the one to the left the Asian kindom, to expensive, the great wall just around the corner from the Watson, top of the street and turn left and then left again, thank me later. Ha ha
Poor service
Been to Watsons lots of times for drinks and for the entertainment. Tonight decided to try the food. We found a table easily (place quite empty) but had to wait and ask a waiter for a menu. He didn't ask if we wanted a drink while we looked at it. He then ignored us while he spoke to other customers although it was obvious we were ready to order. After about 15 mins we walked out without ordeing a drink or food. We went to another restaurant where our custom was appreciated. Alas we won't go back to Watson's ever again.
The best Elvis
We had seen an advert for an Elvis tribute show the previous night while having a beer, so reserved a table and so pleased we did. The show is excellent and 'Elvis' did 3 sets and changed to different outfits for each one, such a fun evening here where the staff are so helpful and the drinks prices very reasonable, that's why it's such a busy bar. Look out for Watson's Elvis, it's a great show.
Hicham the best
Great place the staff was friendly and helpful specially Hicham was very attentive and helpful. Will definitely come back.
Not as friendly or honest as you'd think
So we went to this bar as recommended by a friend. Looks clean and tidy apart from the toilet, there was never any soap in the dispenser the 3 times we visited. Husband drank import lager and I had either Diet Coke or wine. Food we tried twice and I have to say it wasn't the best. Average pub food at its best. Out of the 3 times we visited they got the bill wrong twice. Really have to watch this guys. The last visit I only had Diet Coke but the bill had more cokes and pints of lager on. The waitress rectified it by asking how many drinks we had!!! Seems they just added what and when they liked. Talking of the staff not 1 of them seemed friendly. The older waitress she could have turned your drink sour which the expression on her face!! Sad really as the entertainment wasn't bad for this pub however the staff let it down massively. Doubt we would return to Malta but if we did we wouldn't recommend or visit this place again. Watch those bills guys or pay as you go we noticed the locals did…. maybe they knew what set up they have here!
Horrible
We went here on night and the food was ok. The next day we called after doing some shopping and all I can say is Malta's version of Weatherspoons - yes the beer was cheap but it was full of locals drinking beer. We went another evening and my husband asked a simple question and one of the entertainers squared up to him - not what you need on holiday - when the manager asked what had gone on he shrugged his shoulders. Needless to say we didnt go there again
Dining out
Great food. Good prices. Did special meal of plain Pasta and chips for grandson (6yrs). Very helpful, friendly staff. Will defo visit again. 👍👍👍
Worth a visit
Visited this bar approximately 5 times during our stay at san Antonia hotel, the food is lovely and the staff are really helpful good atmosphere, also some good entertainment only round the corner from our hotel so really good to get out for a change, would recommend the pizzas.
The Watson
The Watson bar is part of the euro Hotel it is very friendly and clean, it has entertainment most nights, and the beer is nice and cold,
Tourists beware !
I called into this place 12 / 12 / 20 around 8pm and I bought a bottle of Skol. I gave the barmaid a 5 euro note and she gave me 1 euro change! She had quickly removed herself to the other end of the bar so I followed her and asked " HOW MUCH IS THIS? " She replied " it's 4 euro. " Another of the bar staff recognised me as he had served me on previous visits and he heard me question the price. He said something to the barmaid who had served me and after a couple of minutes, she approached me and said " you left 2 euro of your change on the bar. " I pointed out that this was not the case. Beware if you visit this place, (especially if you are a tourist) as I'm guessing that the recruitment process doesn't involve a basic maths test, or an honesty check.
Fast track to hospital!
The Watson adopts a " creative licence " when it comes to social distancing, more than 6 to a table, people dancing, staff not wearing face coverings correctly (above the nose) whilst customers / people are consistently crammed together. The owner / manager is dismissive at best! Avoid unless you wish to increase your odds of catching the virus! Furthermore, A lack of collective responsibly is clearly evident, consider rules are issued for a reason and not open to interpretation! Shame on you Watson's.
Typically an ExPat Bar
Sat outside and waited, waited as most bars are doing table service due to virus, seems this one is an exception! Large and spacious, bar staff pleasant but the location and the loud expats spoil it. No view other than the road and the language from the table beside us would make even a fishwifes hair curl. If you like loud and brash, this is the place for you.
Fantastic
I have been on a New Year's trip to Malta and since I slept close to this pub I often stayed at it. I can only say that the food was excellent, especially the Italian cuisine, the staff are friendly and helpful, the prices are affordable comparing them to other prices at Malta (Bugibba) I definitely recommend it
Evening music
Staying in Malta for a fortnight we wanted a pub offering music of some sort on a few evenings. Great djs and karaoke several nights s week and cheap drinks. Friendly staff.
Toilets
Bar good staff very friendly but toilets disgusting needed cleaning toilet paper everywhere and sick on the floor
Poor quality food
Not very good service very slow_ polite staff but very slow _ very long wait for food _ breakfast average _ plates not been in a warmer and tea cups the size of shot glasses _ all in all a bit of a let down.

Busy Spot
The crowd drew is in and the music. Reasonably priced drinks food was ok too. Staff were polite and so we returned a few times.

Visited Watson several times during out trip to Malta. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The food excellent. It's a lively place with lots of live entertainment
Great sports bar
Service with a smile, well priced drinks and trendy looking bar. However they offer entertainment every night which is great if that's your kind of thing but the volume of the karaoke and singing acts was so high you couldn't hold a conversation at the same time! So depends what you're wanting from a bar!
Hit and miss
Been here a few times and like my title sometimes it's good other times not so we had pizza which were nice a few evenings later same pizza hut burnt base my sons pasta was tasteless there is an Elvis act twice a week if that's your thing and karaoke other nights which the locals take very seriously it is a nice place but could be much better some bar staff very sulky.
Steel Dishwashing Wired Chips served here
We were hungry for a pizza and a burger so decided to sit down at this quite decent looking pub for lunch. Hamburger was served with chips and there it was! A long steel wire from the dishwashing sponge sitting on the chips! When we called and asked the waiter to take the plate away, he was not very happy showing it to the pub owner / manager. They did not apologize but the waiter said " I can not do anything but only give you some discount " as if that was what we were after! I went up to the cash and told the girl we could have done with a simple " sorry " and we do not want any discount. Since we live nearby, once I had made the mistake of ordering a plate of pasta Carbonara. Instead, I had pasta swimming in white cream bath! I don't know what I was thinking going there again! This pub has an Elvis tribute show two times a week, making money selling watery draught beer (which we also had on that day) to British tourists. The kitchen is serving food for dogs. If you value your stomach, just don't go there.

Vacanza
Di solito non scrivo quasi mai recensioni.. è una cosa mia.. personale! Però leggendo ciò che altri scrivono... è vabbè ragazzi dai... noi siamo stati veramente bene.. mangiato benissimo! Staff- cordiale e simpaticissimiiii per non dire sempre disponibili e pronti ad aiutarci nelle scelta. Cibo- fantastico! Noi abbiamo voluto provare i loro piatti tipici.. cosa dire a noi piace... poi certo siamo diversi non sempre a tutti piace la cucina diversa! Comunque se torniamo so dove andare a mangiare quel piatto per 2 che non abbiamo nemmeno finito per quante cose erano... anche se la carne era veramnente ottima! Detto da mio marito!!! Consigliatissimo!!!!!

Went to the Watson on a Friday night with members of family, had an amazing night as there was Elvis impersonator recommend this night out on a Friday
For Drinks Only
Came here for drinks a couple of times as staying local. Nice decor, toilets, range of drinks and air conditioned. Didn't dine and actually didn't see any food but we were late afternoon visitors so after lunch and before dinner. Would def go back.
Not brilliant
Was not impressed with the service, after ordering food the starters and the main arrived within 2 minutes of each other so was only just eating starter when mains arrived. The food was OK
Great place
Just come back from Malta. This is a great place to eat and drink. Prices are cheap and atmosphere great. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to go back. And you must try the pizzas they are fab.
Breakfast
Breakfast was really good however after waiting for 45 minutes I think most of us lost interest. Good on an evening if your into abit of cheese. Fairly priced food & drinks
Billy Ray
Had evening tea in here had chicken burger and partner had spaghetti Bol was very good mine was slightly delayed but it was hot and tasty staff were excellent and efficient one added bonus was that billy Ray was singing on a Monday night great all rounder and sings non stop for five hours we had a brilliant night.
Great family fun
Well been in here a couple of times while staying at the mavina. First time popped in with my missus and our 3 year old daughter just for a quick drink and ended up eating here. Food was lovely spot on thoroughly enjoyed it. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. So here for two weeks been our regular drop of point before home and bed. Anyway decided to have a late night and let our Daughter sample a karaoke as she loves dancing. What a fantastic night we had brilliant. Tuesday night our Daughter and ourselves had a laugh sing and dance and with great company in everyone else who was there enjoying themselves. Many Thanks to the karaoke couple especially the lovely lady who took our daughter and sat her next to her to help sort tickets she loved it. Be back next year and will definitely be coming back to Watson's. Thanks for some great memories and times.
Comfy pub
Fabulous pub great food great staff recently refurbished to excellent standard- great for sports it has plenty of large screens and live music at night.
Fun atmosphere
We went here for new years eve to see the female impersonator. Its such a lively atmosphere and everyone is so friendly its hard not to become involved and enjoy the evening all the more. They have entertainment on during the week and the bar is reasonably priced. You cant beat the show on thursdays (taken over from Fionas old show) very tongue in cheek and good fun.
Good Karaoke
Always pop in here with wife when visiting daughter in Malta. They have a good Karaoke early in the week run by Tony and Miriam, a really friendly couple. Well worth a visit.
Quite A Nice Bar Now Its Been Modernised
I stopped going here about five years ago because we were blatantly overcharged on two successive nights. The standard of cleanliness left a lot to be desired, the food was unpleasant and the entertainment was rubbish and there are several other really nice places within 100 yards. Then four months ago we noticed there was some work going on and within a couple of weeks this new " Watson's " was born ! This place is now bright, clean, modern, welcoming, friendly, and seems to be attracting a much better sort of customer altogether. The food is good and the drinks are the proper prices and is no longer a dingy " dive " - its a pleasant bar and restaurant. Why they couldn't have done this years ago I don't know.
What an amazing transformation
When we were on holiday in Malta, we noticed that Watsons bar had been refurbished, and what a transformation it was. The place was spotless, the staff were brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Sebastian was fantastic. There is entertainment on there most nights, The food is good It was a dirty grotty bar before the refurb and somewhere we would not have gone, but now it is a brilliant bar and we will be back
Pizza buona
Siamo entrati in questo pub quasi per sbaglio, ma ne siamo rimasti sorpresi. Il locale è bello, il personale è gentile e disponibile. Abbiamo preso una pizza ed era buona.
Terribile
Sono stata con il mio ragazzo in questo pub / ristorante ieri sera. Premetto di odiare le persone che pubblicano recensioni negative senza ragione e di solito scrivo solo per parlare bene dei locali, ma stavolta non riesco a trattenermi. Mai mangiato così male in vita mia. Partiamo con la zuppa del giorno, una brodaglia di panna, mais e pollo e per seguire un piatto per due: un tagliere indecente con dei formaggi (nemmeno specificati quali), due fette di salumi e una marea di gallette di riso e grissini. Il menù specificava in alto PIATTO PER DUE, così ritenevamo che il prezzo fosse riferito al singolo piatto (che già 13 euro non li valeva), invece abbiamo pagato il doppio. I 37 euro più mal spesi di sempre, quella zuppa me la sognerò la notte.

Called here one afternoon after arriving in Malta. Can't comment on the food, as only had drinks. Average price from looking at the menu to other places in the area. Cans of Pepsi were 1.50 euros per can. They had adverts stating different acts on each night. Didn't watch them, so can't comment on those. Staff could be a little slow at times. They seemed more interested in smoking and chatting to each other.
Friendly bar / diner
Good food at reasonable prices with very friendly and polite staff. We had lunch here and all four people enjoyed it.

Excellent food and customer service in the watsons pub. Would highly recommend to anyone. They serve a variety of food and very reasonable prices
