Avoid at all costs
Whilst making the booking itself was straightforward, I would never use this app again due to the companies they then use to complete the journey. ' Valet Tour' were 13 mins late to my collection time at the airport & was not in arrivals with my name as the booking said they would be. The driver although polite, then asked for me £5 cash for parking & had a message from someone on WhatsApp saying I would pay this. This had not been communicated to me at any point & surely this should have been included in the price. When I refused to pay he said he would contact the company. However he did this via message whilst driving on the motorway, so extremely unsafe & illegal! The journey itself was ok, aside from the fact the driver was asleep at a red light & then falling asleep as we were driving!!! He again, albeit politely, asked me for the £5 at drop off location, I again refused & replied to the email I had been sent asking for me to pay him, stating all of the above & that I would report to the police as needed. I have not received a response. A shoddy company with unsafe drivers. Avoid at all cost.
Terrible Company do not use
Do not use this Taxi App. They didnt assign a driver the day before and I tried to call several times and there was no answer. I emailed and was assured 3 times across the afternoon before that it was ok. I then got an email at 6.25am on the day of my 12.20 taxi to cancel the booking. Money has not yet been refunded either. DO NOT USE THEM.
The taxi driver used my mother's death to weasel an extra £35 out of me
I booked a taxi from Witney to Leominster because I was told my mother was in hospital and would most probably die. When I got in the taxi, I asked the driver if they could take me straight to the hospital in Hereford instead of to my parents' house in Leominster. Doing so made the journey that I had already paid for online shorter rather than longer, and the taxi driver demanded an extra £35 despite the journey being made shorter by this minor alteration. He knew I wanted to go to the hospital because my mother was dying. I hope that extra £35 was worth it for him because I will never forget that driver. He used my distress in order to gain an extra £35 for himself. An honourable and decent human being would have not charged extra because going to Hereford hospital instead, made the journey considerably shorter, and therefore saved him time and petrol money. Not only did this driver lack common decency and compassion as a human being, but they used the distress of my mother dying for their own financial gain. I lodged a complaint with Taxicode and never heard anything back. I doubt now that I ever will because they do not care. SCAM - no refund
They do not give refunds if anything goes wrong and that is not negotiable. We paid them and then we had to pay for an Uber as well. They ignore my emails now. My advice is to avoid them, rather just get an Uber and pay once
