Can't wait to come back
Ruwatautha and Cui Chonghad the best attitude and gave the best service at Hilton Niseko. We look forward to coming back and spending more time with them next season.
Great service however quality of food disappointing
The waiter was very nice - unfortunately the attentive service could make up for the food which was rather mediocre. Would probably recommend a burger as the pizzas and the nachos were nothing special and not worth a repeat.
Great Irish Coffee!
Rowantha made the BEST Irish coffee! The service was fabulous and everyone in the restaurant was extremely nice and super friendly.
Never again
$60 AUS burger at the Hilton you think you must be good right? WRONG! What a waste of money. Terrible food, the chicken wings were literally the worst thing I've ever eaten, they were cold, there was 4 pieces and it costs $40AUS. Do not go there!
Mauvais restaurant
Wouldn't go back
Paid about $120 aud for 2 beers and 2 tiny pizzas that were not very good at all.. Wouldn't go back
Service can be improved with decent bar food
Service at the order counter was bad. However, food was not too bad for bar food. Fried chicken was so so but burgers and soup were pretty good.
Terrible
Visited with my husband and was shocked when he had to stand in a queue for 30minutes just to place our order. After a hard morning skiing we're too hungry to have the patience for that. It also meant I had to sit alone at our table the entire time he was in the queue. The food was average and not worth the high price tag let alone the extraordinarily long wait to order and then to arrive. We certainly won't be visiting again and the Hilton should seriously consider their association with such a place. Just because you have a captive market in a ski resort you really shouldn't allow your standards to slip this low...
Very bad service and very poor food
Four of us went for dinner after arriving from Tokyo. We ordered food and drinks. We asked for two separate bills, one for each room. No problem. The first meal arrived after about 15 minutes, but no drinks. So was asked about the drinks and they arrived shortly there after. About 5 minutes later the second meal arrived. We asked about the other two and were told the kitchen had been slammed. The place was 1 / 2 empty. 10 minutes later the third meal arrived as the person with the first meal finished. We asked about the fourth meal and was told it was coming. It arrived about 10 minutes later (a good 40 minutes after being ordered) and it was unacceptable. It was supposed to be an fried eggplant sandwich. It was a hamburger bun lathered in mayo, but the eggplant was a 2 inch diameter slice (5mm) lost in the mayo. We complained about the service and the last meal and were told we could get a drink. Not for everyone, just one person. I suggested a drink for the table was appropriate. After the waiter talked to someone we received two drinks and thanks for our understanding. We were not understanding. Avoid this place at all costs.
GOOD SEAFOOD, POSSBLY THE BEST
Hokkaido is seafood paradise, but where you get your seafood and where they get their seafood is critical. At Ezo, the owner, who is Australian, buys the seafood fresh each day. Local crab is sweet. Local oysters are big and juicy. Sashimi is one of the best. Cooked fish and paella need some improvement. That's why only a 4 star rating, However, the wait staff are fantastic! Great attention and not pushing sales!
Having a lend!!
$22.00 AUD for a pint of Guinness says it all. Hilton having a lend and ripping off their guests. Their business model all wrong because their prices and very poor quality food driving their their guests to nearby bars such as the Machine which offer better service, better prices and better food. Lift your game Hilton!!!
Decent Pub Food
We skied Niseko and right at the base in a Niseko Village is the Hilton Hotel. The Enzo Pub is convenient for a quick lunch and the food is what you would expect. There is beer and wine. You can sit at a combination of low and high top rustic tables, you walk up to the counter to order and food is delivered to your table. It didn't arrive in any particular order but it was hot and filling. The burger was good, the fries perfectly fine, and salads were crisp and well made. If you are looking for this kind of food it is perfectly fine but as long as you are skiing in Japan, why not have really good sushi?
Horrendous
I find it hard to believe that a pub / restaurant can be this bad and still operational. 12% Resort fee on top of already ridiculous prices, there is far better and cheaper places to eat in Niseko. Service fee but you don't actually get any 'service'. Jump in a line to order your food, shame on Ezo and shame on Hilton Hotels. This place is appalling!
A night to enjoy
This Brisbane man is running a first class dining experience. 3 couples unable to make a decision. Let the manager set your menu. Although only granted a 2 hour sitting, this was easily suitable. Service was amazing.
Over-priced lunch
$88AUD for 2 average burgers and 2 cokes! Service very slow. Paying for the convenient location. Go elsewhere
Awful expensive food
Stopped for a quick lunch with my sons. Handy location but overpriced poor quality food. Maybe the meat pie if you are a hurry. BUT so many better options in NISEKO
Not busy..... forgot our order..... expensive and terrible setvice
How can a restaurant simply forget to bring one of your dishes when it's in a Hotel chain like the Hilton. All we ordered were burgers and tonkatsu. Don't bother coming if you want to eat as a family.
Convenient and good food
Ezo is within Hilton and convenient for skiers taking a lunch break. The service was very good and no complains on the food that we came here twice.
Had to prepay at the bar = long lines to order
Everywhere in Japan the main stock standard is table service however at this pub you had to line up at the bar and place your order resulting in a huge queue. For a 5 star premium hotel with prices to match we expected table service
Best
Seriously the best fried chicken and pizza i've ever had so far. Perfect break from japanese food. Casual and friendly atmosphere.
Overpriced. Unnecessary misleading prices
Prices listed on menu are much lower than what you finally pay at the counter after additional tax and service charge percentage added. Average food, nothing special.
Stylish casual pub
With a terrific view up the Niseko ski fields Ezo has a great spot. Located up a level from the ground floor this stylish pub gives you a selection of meals accompanied by a great range of drinks. Happy hour is from 6:00-8:00pm with discounts on beer and wine. We ordered a hamburger steak and Chicken Curry both which were westernised and tasty. The layout and finish is clean and modern, well worth a look.
Check you bill
Through the day you have to stand in a single line que and order at the bar from one person, its not ideal after snowboarding on a mountain, to then have to stand to order a drink in the Hilton Hotel. At night they have table service but on more than one occasion our bill had extra items added to it.
Massively Overpriced and Poor Service
Given my review of the Lookout Cafe also owned by Hilton you may get the impression I am anti Hilton- far from it I am a silver member- whatever that means these days. Ezo is convenient if your staying in the Hilton Niseko resort- we were not- but is at the bottom of the gondola up so is I would imagine busy all the time. Again as a group of 7 we were found a table and that's essentially where the service ended. You then have to go to the bar to order food which is painful if you want a single bill and want to split it- and given the number of staff in the place maybe it would be easier for someone to take the order at the table. I went for their signature burger- pork and beef which at 25 usd is pricey. When it arrived the burger was luke warm, fries were the same. Consistently of the burger was very mushy / soft. I washed this down with a beer which was again pricey versus other mountain venues. I met people who stayed at the resort and they seem underwhelmed by the hotel itself. Based on this it's easy to see why. Come on Hilton- get it together- you do this well in many places. Maybe start investing in your customers rather than your bottom line.
How bad...
At first sight this pub looked promising. However the service was slow, pricey even for Japan and the food was absolutely terrible. I rarely write reviews but I felt it important to warn others not to waste their money. 2 cold burgers, two luke warm curries (ready meals...??) which we sent back. Drinks couldn't be ruined. Total cost £120...... this is a Hilton Hotel. Wow what's happened??
Great Place to Spend the Day
Ezo opens at 11:00. Great place to listen to music, watch the skiers or take a break to warm up. Staff are friendly, views of the slopes perfect. Big screen TV in front and back of room to watch sports. If you get the caesar salad, ask to have your bacon extra crisp. The kids thought the pork cutlet curry (curry on the side) was good, as the pork was very lean. Japanese snacks available upon request.
What a rip-off!
Unfortunately we have only read the TripAdvisor reviews after our terrible stay at Ezo. In fact, I have never seen such a bad rating on TripAdvisor EVER in my life - and I use this app quite freque tly. I can only agree with all other reviews. Bad bad Bad! It's a shame that Hilton has the guts to offer such an experience to their customers. We ordered the, must try " burgers. The meat and the fries were as cold as the freaking icy winter weather outside - if felt like they have made the burgers an hour earlier. The 2 tables next to us also told us that their food was served cold and another lady had to wait 20 minutes for her burger while the 3 other family members were already served. At least after we complained, they made us a new burger & fries. On top of this bad experience, the hefty price is another no-go. With drinks, we paid around 45 USD for a burger and soething to drink. Never never again!
Decent pub at the bottom of the slopes
Convenient if you are staying at the Hilton! Decent bar although quite expensive. Food is OK but nothing to write home about.
A complete joke - rip off
The soup was terrible (probably instant) served in a small cup. Burger and fries were average considering the price. To add insult to injury they charge 21% service and tax on top of price. We had 3 different meals delivered to our table that weren't ours. Service is horrific, and they play raving techno in the middle of lunch.
Good to go restaurant
Nice setting and environment. If you are looking for something western and a light meal or not to fancy dinner then Ezo is perfect. Situated at the Hilton Hotel and looking at the ski slopes at night is really nice setting. We had the steak burger and was really tasty - dont expect a burger and chips!! Overall a nice evening.
Good music and a filling meal of Baguette Pizza, Oz beef burger
This pub has a good vibe about it, a great selection of Japanese whiskies / wines and some western spirits too. The music is very good and I immediately wanted to know which songs were being played👍🏻 (even though I don't understand Japanese). Since it's a pub, there is a very small selection of food items on the menu, but they are quite good. Also, it requires one to place the order on the counter, rather than at the table. The BAGUETTE PIZZA was very good. Crunch pizza base (shaped like a baguette of course), and chunks of meat embedded within generous amounts of cheese. The other dish was " 100% Australian Beef Burger ". It came with fries and certainly a great burger that can go up against (but probably not win) McDonalds or Triple-O 😁. The service is good and the food is certainly worth trying for a lazy casual lunch despite the lack of choices on the menu (understandably so, since it's a pub).
Abyssmal service
We stayed in this hotel about 10 yrs ago when it was still called Prince hotel. Service everywhere was non-existent, Same now that is is called Hilton. Ezo bar has high prices for the quality of the food they serve and no service to speak of...
Good value for location
On a mountain and in the Hilton, wont be cheap but definitely the best Value in Niseko village. Burger, chips and beer for two adults 54, 000 yen.
Don't bother
$10 AUD for a cup of soup !! No value or satisfaction here. Small serves for a pub style meal. Try nearby village for better value and tasty wholesome food
Nice for a change
If you get tired of Sushi, etc this place is nice for a change. Casual Pub atmosphere, good sake warm or cold, good beer, ok pizza and other pub snacks. Good that first night after arrival when you didn't make reservations and can't get into the other hotel restaurants without a long wait.
Deserves the poor reviews...
I don't usually review a place if it is bad, but this place deserves it. Very strange menu for a " pub " in Japan (foie gras, escargo), poor service and huge prices. Will not be back and sorry we wasted our time and money. Avoid this place!
Below average
We went for dinner after a day of skiing and were very disappointed with the limited menu and mediocre food. We got 2 children's meals, the aussie burger and 2 fish and chips. No Aussie would take claim on the burger and when the fish and chips finally arrived, it was over cooked with more batter than fish. Skip the Hilton - there's many better places to eat while in Hirafu / Kutchan
Absolute rip-off
Ok so you are tired of going to Ace Hill or King Bell for lunch so you head down to the heavily advertised Ezo Pub for what looks like a good burger for lunch. Be prepared to pay over AU$30 for a burger and chips served lukewarm. Pathetic. Such a shame because it's a nice setting and very convenient. No wonder the place is empty. Oh yes also be ready to pay AU$14 for a 750ml bottle of sparkling water. All menu prices are +8% tax plus 13% 'service charge'. Didn't notice any service really. Disappointing, will never return. A big thumbs down Hilton.
Appalling
Having arrived from a 24 hr long journey, we thought the Hilton would be a safe bet, we were so wrong. Fried chicken and fish & chips should be easy staple orders, both meals were cold, dry & had been kept warming for way too long. The prices were ridiculous for what we got and they then proceeded to add 8% tax and 13% service. Looking at the trail of reviews, local management obviously don't care, as they haven't changed nor had the decency respond to previous reviews but it's surprising Hilton have the same view ? My advice - do yourself a favour and find anywhere else to eat.
Got Service
Unlike other reviewers, I did get attentive service at Ezo. Perhaps it was late at night and there were not too many customers The menu was expensive. ¥2, 100 pizza that I ordered was a bit burnt but not too bad. If you do not want to pay more than ¥3, 000 for an individual dinner at the Hilton, I think you are stuck with the Ezo. Other restaurants in the hotel are more expensive. Consider walking a little ways to the " village " area... there are a few independent restaurants that may be a bit more reasonable.
Great food and service
Very nice pub with beautiful setting and service we have great burger and beers all the family enjoy it Perfect also for a break during ski day
A Hotel Pub that could be the perfect Apres Ski Location!
Well located on the 2nd floor in the Niseko Hilton with a large window towards the end of the slops and the gondola, this could be perfect for Apres Ski - but either it's the high prices (Hilton level) or the rather average food or the Asian's not familiar with European party bench marks - not often much is going on here in the afternoons. Rather in the evenings you can use the Karaoke room to celebrate and drink - which is indeed great (but pricy).
Decent food, pricey but equivalent to most of Niseko Village
Drank here with some snacks / burgers a few times Limited vibe in March Ok service. Easy to get to and good food. Pricey, but everything tends to be around Niseko Village
Good food, good atmosphere, expensive
Stopped at the Hilton for lunch while skiing. Ordered Caesar salad, pizza and chocolate platter. Food was all really good, just expensive. We should have expected it since it is the Hilton ski resort. Still a good meal.
Good Burger, Hilton price
The burger and fries were good and tasty but nothing special or anything to die for. As for the price, expensive as expected. The burger cost ¥2, 100++ and a coke was ¥600++.. after all it's a Hilton. The place was well decorated and the staff was good, nothing to complain about.
Perfect place of après ski in the most amazing resort imaginable
Pub Ezo overlooks the gondola and the slope with the most perfect powder of any place on earth. It is relaxed and family friendly place to hang out with friends or meet new people. I have seen the criticisms of the prices, but those make sense only if your comparison is to McDonalds. The burger is a tasty combination of beef and pork. The pizzas and corn chowder are also very good. The staff is wonderful and we would return if for no other reason than to just to see our waiter, Vincent, one more time!
Great spot to stop by & meet for lunch while on the slopes
We had some pretty cool lunches to fill us back up at lunchtime before heading back out. The food is great & the atmosphere a lot of fun.
Good place to go
Yes it is pricey but my husband and I shared the meals whenever we went there which makes it reasonable. I loved the burger and fries it was delicious, alcohol is expensive but order alcohol online at niseko wine supply which is delivered to your room and have a drink before you eat then after you eat if you find it too expensive. I liked going here, if we couldn't be bothered going out for dinner after a big day on the slopes!
Over priced
Holy smokes, 90 cad for a burger a hot dog and 2 drinks! Talk about a shock, not worth it. It's coolish looking but why it costs so much is beyond me.
Rip off for what you get- poor quality
The hilton relies on a captured market but that's not an excuse for small portions and poor quality. You are better off eating on the mountain (but not the lookout cafe- also hilton owned) or in Hirafu.
You must be kidding, right?!
In the land of amazing food and immaculate service it is indeed a shock to end up in this place. But well, I only have to blame myself as was in rush and it is convenient just off the ski slope. No service - you order and pay in the bar first, after a long wait. The burger was ok, but maybe just a bit better than McDonald. However at a hefty ¥2, 257 and they did not feel ashamed to include 10% charge in the price, while there was NO service. One only learns on own mistakes, my recommendation - avoid at any cost!
