Best gaming experience ever
Throughout all the months I've been going there I have made loads of friends and had fun. Staff were very friendly help me out a lot. They have vr which when you put the headset on your head it is like you step into a totally different world I played Arizona Sunshine and I loved it so much. There are a lot of consoles to choose from a PS4, 2 xbox one's, Nintendo switch and a ps3 with guitar hero they all have great games to choose from
Great gaming party venue
I had a birthday party for my two sons aged 6 and 10. Both age groups had a great time, the younger ones enjoyed playing on the consoles while the older ones spent most of their time in the VR area. The staff were very helpful and friendly even with the children's non-stop demands. They allow you to bring your own food unlike other venues (we ordered pizza in and brought snacks too). There is plenty of seating for the adults and a Costa conveniently located round the corner. I would highly recommend it for any parent that has children into gaming and wants a stress free party.
Autism exclusive event
Thank you so much to Andy and his staff for all of your support with NAS Dartford and Graveshams autism exclusive mornings. We know everyone has a great time and are extremely grateful for your help and understanding.
Absolutely amazing
Staff are amazing. Range of games and consoles are amazing. Worth the visit. Great for both rainy and sunny days Thanks Andy
Friendly, comfortable and convenient
My 6yo son spent some of his birthday money on an annual membership when this little gem first opened and it was a fantastic use of his money. Most trips into town include a visit to Planet Game Hub where he can play the games he loves, try new games and socialise. The staff are friendly and helpful. The refreshments are reasonably priced as well.
Wonderful place for a family to visit, with amazing patient and kind staff
I have taken my two boys several times to the game hub, and they have loved every minute!! My youngest son has Autism and every member of staff on our visits have ensured both myself and both boys were ok. They went out of their way to allow my son to use all equipment and again every time we visit the staff take time to explain in detail to my youngest what is going to happen. What I find wonderful is how again the staff have remembered both my boys names, and any additional requirements we may need. The atmosphere within this space is very calm yet inviting and I have no worries at all about using the game hub for treats and visits out. Recently my boys attended a gaming competition held in the evening and again all I can say it was a lovely evening it was!!! All staff, children, parents and adults had a great time all involved and to see my youngest son joining in and even receiving the final where he played surrounded by others watching has melted my heart!! Thank you we will be back!!
Perfect place for kids, adults and suitable for all levels of gamers
Great place very cheap for a day pass but yr pass much cheaper and what a way to spend ya day. Vr thing (lol) amazing first time ever using one and was a great experience very life like a c hilarious. Very autistic friendly Very helpful staff and what helps is the staff are passionate about there job. All doubt great day close to all local shops and train station
A good place for gamers
I come to place everyday due to my job and how I travel from place to place (door to door carer) and it great for the time to relax and play game it also feels like I talking to employees who are actual gamers compared to others places I even beaten the manger in Tetris (not most exhilarating game but cause why not) it's good for both kids and adults. I really recommend this place parents who don't really have a lot of money cause kids can play on the consoles here it is subscription fee of £45 for a year but there PS4 Xbox one and A Nintendo switch which you can play on all of them for unlitmited amount of time (so long as no else is here then they'll make so people have fair amount of turns) but it's not paying £300-400 for a console and games. Over all it's good to drop kids off as well if parents wanna go shopping as well we're you can just pay for the day. They also VR (virtual reality) which is a bunch of fun to mess around on you do have pay for it but is definitely worth it esppicaly if you havent done it before cause belive me it is awesome experience it is deffintly worth your time then even do parties here as well. This is a place a recomend for any gamers to check out
A very fun (and surprisingly active!) way to spend an hour
We found out about this new 'shop' / gaming centre through searching Groupon for activities near us. We called ahead, and as it was going to be a weekday visit (and not school holidays) there should be availability on the VR machines. We turned up without booking and they accommodated us no problem. We bought a pod / headset for each of the two of us for an hour. One of the staff recommended some start-out games, to get us acquainted with the feeling and controls. We then progressed onto more active games. Sweating by the end of it; it was such fun! I would suggest that they devise a pack of games for first-timers, maybe themed by preference (e. g. sports / shoot 'em up /..) or a clear mix. Would also suggest that they have some demos of gameplay on a screen before you're taken to the pods, so you can pick what might appeal to you better. I might also suggest that they workout a way of explaining system controls so that you can pause / stop / select games when a member of staff can't be with you (we spent a couple of minutes not in a game when both staff were at the front of store counter with new customers). Some points for the management to think on to enhance the experience further (as would love to see this business thrive). That said, the selection they came up with on the spot and as we went along was entertaining and varied enough to make for a very good experience. We came away very interested in booking the shop for a party one evening for an adult birthday, and would be keen to try the race driving VR machine.
Awesome Shop For Gamers
Well what can I say it is a great shop for gamers and geeks alike. The prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly and easy to talk to. And being able to play games there well that is just gravy ^ I will be buying all of my games and merchandise from there from now on.
Great place to amuse kids
All four kids aged 11-18 had a great time and they are hard to please! They thought the virtual reality kit was awesome. Would highly recommend.
Fun flailing
After randomly walking past one day, I have been into Planet Game Hub many times for quick VR bouts, and also for a VR Party. It's a perfect way to try out VR if you haven't already - the equipment is great and the staff know exactly how to guide you through. Plus, being able to pick how long you are going to play - with the option of going for longer once you've finished - meant that it is easy to come in and try something new, and bringing along a friend is also a lot of fun. Watching someone flail wildly is just as entertaining as playing yourself, especially as there are screens so that you can see what they are reacting to. This works especially well for a VR Party, with team games - even though there are only two standing VR spots, you can easily entertain a whole group, as there are multiplayer elements for people not in the VR space. The shop itself is nicely set out, with a lot of breathing space - and with sofas and consoles along the walls for member use, the shop feels really homely. Whether you are a beginner or someone with gaming experience, the staff here have game suggestions for all situations - they know their stuff, and are lovely and accommodating at all times. Thank you, guys!
Gamer's paradise
Well worth a visit, Friendly, helpful staff. Great for trying out a new console before you decide to buy one as well as a few retro ones for us older generation gamer's. Fantastic VR zone one of the best i've visited in kent. Can even get a slushie to refresh yourself and noticed snacks as well. Really looking forward to my next visit and hope this shop continues to thrive in Gravesend.
Forget about Game! This is a proper video game shop!
This independent video game shop has been a breath of fresh air for Gravesend. Not only do they stock the latest video games for the three major platforms (PS4, XB1 and Switch) but they also have a large range of video game memorabilia such as t-shirts and figurines featuring both current and retro video game characters and franchises. The rear of the shop features a gaming area where members can relax and try the latest games or experience some from the past. There is also an area featuring two VR setups allowing you to immerse yourself into a video gaming world. Whilst your relaxing you can also purchase a soft drink, slush puppy and a snack to keep you going. My autistic son visits every Friday to play Super Mario Galaxy and it has become a regular feature for him. Check out their Facebook page as the shop regularly holds events especially for autistic children. The staff is very helpful and friendly and even if I don't buy anything, I'll always stop for a chat with fellow gamers. A great shop that makes you realise how stale the only other main computer game shop in the country has become.
