Very Happening Hotel
Stayed there just last week. It's a huge place and equipped with casino, high end shops, restaurants, indoor garden, etc... The hotel lighted up the place with Christmas tree and in the evening, there were fireworks too. In the basement, there were some theatre and small indoor type of theme parks. The restaurant where we took our breakfast were also very grand. Recommend for families to go.
Korean country side, relaxing paradise!
Although I stay here is for my business trip, but it is a definitely a good place to relax. I take car to there from Icheon airport, the view of the country side are wonderful, just like you seen in some Korean movies. The hotel is located in the country side of the middle of South Korea, it will not as busy as Seoul, very relax and the largest casino is also placed in the hotel as well. The rooms and facilities of the hotel is perfect, and it is an good suggestion to plan a trip to Korean for sightseeing and relaxation.

カジノをはじめウィンタースポーツも盛んなエリアらしいです。カジノは韓国の方が利用できるとあって 大変な混みようです。 広さも マシーンの台数も最大規模だと思います。 ちかくにウォーターパークらしき施設も建設途中ですが出来るようです
Best in The province
Spent several nights here with my family. Great facilities, with a casino, ski hills, swimming pools and entertainment. Great firework shows held throughout the summer. Would recommend it for anyone visiting Gangwondo!
Excellent service
The hotel is located at the High 1 Resort but you will have to take a shuttle bus to the ski houses. They run frequently and are on time so there is no inconvenience at all. The shuttle buses also bring you into town where there are more food options especially for dinner. On my last night there, I left my pair of gloves on one of the shuttle buses. I went to the reception desk at Kangwonland Hotel to inquire if there is a lost and found for items left on the shuttle buses. Was expecting a binary answer and hoping to be directed to the lost and found counter if there were one. It sounded to me like there wasn't one so I thought I had seen the last of my gloves. The receptionist on duty however, took down my room number and told me they would call me shortly. And they did. Turns out the hotel had sent word to the bus team and the staff had either gone on the buses to look for my gloves or asked the drivers if they had picked the same up. The gloves were recovered and delivered to my room an hour later. They went the extra mile in locating my gloves when they really didn't have to and I think that kind of service is hard to come by. Wonderful and highly commendable. And breakfast at The Grill is really good too. Oh, if you can't sleep on a hard surface, maybe don't go for the korean rooms. Those come with a tatami type of mattress which means you are kind of sleeping on the floor. But it's really an experience in itself so try it if you can!
A worthy place to stay at the resort
The hotel is the main attraction in the district because it is one of the couple of casinos legalized in South Korea. All the rooms are modern and well-equipped with the locally manufactured appliances. There are all the additional conveniences available at the 5* hotel, but need to be paid for; the prices are relatively low. There is always a free shuttle bus going to Gohan / Sabuk and other resort destinations every 15 to 30 minutes.

좋은시간 보냈어요
어머니랑 동생과 함께 방문했는데 좋은 시간 보내고 돌아왔어요. 리프트 타고 정상에서 본 풍경도 너무 좋았고 특히 어머니가 너무 좋아하셔서 뿌듯했습니다. 매일 펼쳐지는 불꽃놀이도 환상이었습니다. 가족단위로 방문하기 참 좋은것 같습니다.
저렴한 가격, 편안한 숙박
성수기를 제외하곤 상당히 저렴한 가격에 묵을 수 있는 곳입니다. 카지노와 제반 시설 이용시 추천합니다. 시설내 어린이를 위한 키즈놀이시설이 있고 북카페와 산책로 등이 새로 생겨 가족단위로 방문할 만한 곳입니다. 조만간 부지내 워터파크도 개장예정이네요.
카지노가 있는 호텔
더블룸에 1박하였는데, 객실 내부는 조금 올드한 편입니다. 침대가 크고 나름 푹신했습니다. 하이원리조트가 가까워 낮에는 스키를 타고, 저녁에는 카지노가 있어 여유 시간을 즐기기에 좋은 호텔입니다.

Not too bad
As soon as we arrive the hotel, we booked the room. We stayed 1 night after playing the games at the Casino. We choose twin room. The size of the room is larger than normal. All accessaries, facilities and supplies were good enough. The room lighting sys is an old style, but still working good. The floor lamp needs more brighter. There was no ceiling fan. The common area of whole hotel needs renovation, especially the carpets of the corridor. In the morning, we had a breakfast at The Grill. When I saw the price, I thought its a little higher than other hotels to pay for the breakfast. However, some items were added uniquely something like miso soup with veggie. And, I think the coffees are the best taste compare to anywhere in Korea. It was very good. I'll come back again later.

객실은 일부 시설이 약간 낡은 느낌입니다. 예컨대 객실 카드가 터치식이 아닌 삽입식이라던가. 그래도 시설 자체는 당대의 고급 수준으로 갖춰뒀기 때문에 불만은 없습니다. 객실의 넓이 자체도 충분히 만족스럽습니다. 공용공간은 카지노 이용객이 많아서 조금 부담스러울때가 있었습니다. 전반적으로 호텔 내 서비스 시설이 가격이 높습니다. 석식뷔페나 목욕탕 같은 것들. 가급적이면 객실 내에서 해결하길 권장합니다. 룸서비스가 대단히 수준이 높습니다. 특히 조식 룸 서비스는 꼭 권장하고 싶습니다. 주차장이 멀고 동선이 나쁩니다.
Very nice hotel
Untuk yang punya budget agak berlebih, bisa jadi pilihan hotel kalau ke korea selatan. Layak menjadi 5 star hotel. Untuk makanan, ngga terlalu berkesan, standard saja. Untuk view dari kamar hotel dan fasilitas kamar, Thumbs Up!
Great resort
This is one of the best resort hotel in this area. It has casino, department stores, delicious breakfast, and the room is spacious with good amenities. Recommmended to stay and back again for winter hopefully. But my bathroom still broken though the man from room service already checked. Grade : 8, 5 out of 10
강원랜드호텔은
트윈룸에 1박을 하였습니다. 켄밴션 호텔보다는 시설이 조금 떨어집니다. 하지만 가격은 조금 저렴합니다. 더 좋은 시설을 원하시면 컨밴션호텔을 선택하시는것이 좋습니다. 그렇지만 시설이 나쁘지는 않습니다. 샤워기의 수압은 최고이며 뷰는 어느 방향이던지 모두 좋은것 같습니다.
Отель на горнолыжном курорте High 1 для семейного отдыха
Отель состоит из главного здания отеля, центра конгрессов и комплекса зданий кондо, расположенных вверху возле горок. При отеле работает казино. Курорт High 1 считается самым дорогим в Корее, акцент на семейное катание. Работает туристическая гондола и подъемник. Ски-пассы в различной цене, при бронировании отеля у местных операторов получаешь скидки. Завтраки приличные, номера очень комфортные, кровати для уютного и долгого сна:) Очень рекомендую этот отель, мне там все понравилось!Кстати, выгодный обменник на ресепшне.
Lovely hotel with the best ski course !!!
Actually, they have two hotels and three groups of condos. As many people visit here for enjoying ski and casino, facilities of the hotel is perfect. You can enjoy many events including free performances at casa cinema.
Отдых зимой
Номера чистые. На уровне. Румсервис на уровне. Завтраки в ресторане Grill на любителя. Казино при отеле. Очень много людей из Японии, Китая и местных. Помешаны на азарте. Фитнес и сауна отстой. Ресторан Ориен твердая 4 Горнолыжная трасса супер. Ухоженно. Грамотно все устроено. Еда в кафешках вкусные и чисто очень.
5 star hotel??
External view this hotel very amazing, and the service, i must said i'm gotta confused how come this hotel said 5 star? I will explain : 1) 3-5 staff i asking no one can speak english 2) no one help my family luggage. I book for about 35 person its about 15 rooms U can imagine how many luggage that my big family come, BUT NO ONE FROM THE HOTEL WAS HELPING!!! My grandpa must take his luggage alone!!! The staff only SEE without helping!!! 3) the staff only priority the expensive car! My family come using bus, the parking lot was taken by expensive car so we must walk far to the lobby 4) there is no shop around the hotel Highly very NOT recommended for me
Good, Convenient Location from the High1 Ski Resort
The room is clean and have a good view of the ice mountain. There is free Wi-Fi in room with phone charging cables provided. The hotel is very near from the ski resort, which is about 5 minutes car ride. The breakfast buffet is quite good.
Perfect stay
The resort comprises few other types of accommodation and ski facilities. I'd stay at the Convention Hotel. The lobby is really spacious. The room is spacious with comfy bedding. There is kettle inside the room. Bathroom equipped with bathtub, complete set of toiletries and toilet with bidet. Breakfast selection are variety and there are options for us as a Muslim to eat. There is also casino for those who want to. I would like to stay here again and enjoying the great stay.

가격은 그냥 제값주긴 아깝고 콤푸로 할인받거나 할인하는 객실 갔으면 더없이 좋게 느껴집니다. 가족단위로 가서 낮에는 자연구경하고 밤에는 카지노 잠깐 구경하고 좋아요

시원하고 깨끗한 여름 휴가
호텔방은 깨끗하고 시원해 여름휴가를 즐기기에 좋았습니다. 불꽃놀이도 하며, 주변에 볼거리도 꽤 있습니다. 다만 식당이 너무비싸 이용하지 않고 차를 타고 나가 사 먹었습니다. 거리가 좀 멀긴 하지만 휴가 겸 쉬고 오기에 좋습니다.
Great hotel; very expensive food options
The hotel was really packed as it's the local summer break!! But the rooms are very spacious; the Housekeeping is extremely efficient with change of sheets on a daily basis and cleanliness levels are high!! Toilets are big too; only drawback being that the silhouette can be seen while one is having a shower. Room is equipped with a kettle and a minibar. They have thoughtfully added everything from Toothbrushes to undergarments in case you forget to carry some during the travel. While the hotel is absolutely stunning and we have seen fireworks on three consecutive nights we've been here, everything else is incredibly expensive. They charge you 50, 000 (approx $50) to use the gym and 20, 000 (approx $20, of which they give you a 30% off-making it $14) to use the pool. That was the most disappointing aspect of our trip as I found it very inconvenient to not be able to use the facilities as a hotel guest and I think they should reconsider these prices! The food options in the room service menu are also priced between $25-$50 for a dish. Vegetarian food is not easy to come by. Language is an issue as only some people speak English; so need to find the right people to guide you. The casino is very packed and vibrant. No charge to enter here... Very convenient indeed. But I must specially mention this concierge " Park Junho " who has been so incredibly helpful and has tried to resolve every query and gone out of his way to procure simple things like plain unsweetened yoghurt for us that the hotel Didn't seem to have. He does the hotel proud and is what made me give the hotel 4*!! We were here for a tournament.

주니어 스위트 3일 보내고 왔습니다. 수영장 및 사우나도 무료로 즐기고 스위트룸에는 캡슐커피머신도 있으며 어메니티도 좋음. 룸서비스 조식도 좋았음. 카지노는 돗대기 시장;;; 안가는게 좋음.
Great Ski Trip
Clean and tidy rooms. Staff helpful in general. Very big hotel with outdoor skating rink just at the back of the hotel. Only 5-10 mins away from skiing slopes by shuttle bus. Your kids won't be dissappointed.
Hotel mewah dengan pemandangan salju
Saya menginap di suite dengan kamar yang luas dan furnitur yang mewah. Fasilitas hotel lengkap dengan pelayanan yang sangat memuaskan. Waktu terbaik untuk mengunjungi hotel ini adalah pada musim dingin sehingga Anda juga bisa menikmati resor ski yang letaknya tidak jauh dari hotel. Kekurangannya adalah lokasi hotel cukup jauh dari seoul dan tidak tersedia pesawat dari seoul menuju gangwon-do sehingga pengunjung harus menghabiskan waktu cukup banyak untuk berkendara menuju komplek resor ini.

카지노를 이용하지는 않아도 가격을 생각한다면 그다지 나쁜 시설이나 룸컨디션은 아닌 듯 합니다. 까사시네마나 분수쇼 등도 한 번은 볼 만 합니다. 다만 주차장이 호텔에서 꽤 멀어서 조금 불편하고 지저분한 편입니다. 호텔 안에 들어서면 시설은 조금 낡았지만 큰 불편함은 없습니다.

Great hotel but communication to guests can be improved
This ski resort is huge. There are maybe 5 accommodations, 3 ski houses and many slopes. The whole giant it's called High1. The gangwon (here they call it kangwon) land hotel is a little outdated compared to its sister convention hotel. Actually the two hotels share the same base, but branch out to two skyrisers. Booking was difficult, and it took days for them to reply email. You can call them direct and wait till all the automatic Korean reply is finish, then an English automatic reply will tell you to press a number to get to a person who speaks English. Unfortunately, the hotel doesn't help with shuttle from Seoul to High1. Shuttle is hard to book. Since the level of English is average among the staff, they have some communication pack in English which is very helpful, but it fails to mention that the slopes are closed everyday from 4pm-6pm. Also the shuttle timetable handout is a bit different from that at the bus stops. The internal shuttle fit high1 has erratic timing, like 2 within 10mins, then every hour, then half hours.. This was our first time skiing and the instructors for the ski school were good. They spoke average English, but good enough to understand. Had a blast though!

객실도 상당히 좋고 세미나 등 모임장소도 잘 마련되어 있어 좋았습니다. 단 하나 문제점이라면 객실 내 비치된 유료 음료 / 비품 사용을 위해서인지 호텔내에 편의점 등 비품을 구매할 시설이 없고, 편의점 등의 시설을 이용하기 위해서는 근처에 있는 사복역까지 나가야 한다는겁니다. 다행히도 사복역까지는 그리 멀지 않습니다. 택시로 금방 왔다갔다 할 수 있어요. 카지노 때문인지 어린이가 있을때 가족과 함께오기엔 좀 문제가 있지 않을까 싶습니다. 그리고 만일 하이원리조트를 목적지로 하는 셔틀버스를 이용하신다면 첨부된 사진을 참고해서 이동하시면 좋을것 같습니다. 마운틴콘도-컨벤션호텔 (강원랜드호텔) 까지 이동하는 셔틀버스가 별도로 있습니다.
강원랜드 호텔
가격대비 별로인 곳입니다. 낡고 오래된 느낌이 납니다. 개인적으로는 컨벤션 호텔이 훨씬 좋았습니다. 카지노는 바로 붙어있고 저녁엔 루미나리에도 해서 볼거리는 풍부합니다. 전망은 도로쪽으로 줘서 별로였습니다.

스키타러 오신분들께는 비추에요 주차도 멀리해야하고 주차가 굉장히 불편했어요 카지노 이용고객을 위한 호텔이라고 생각되어져요. 그러나 시설이 조금 오래되었지만 좋긴하고 뷔페도 만족스럽습니다 룸서비스도 훌륭하구요~~
Family Ski Trip
We visited this hotel on a family ski trip to High 1. We had a very good visit. The facility and amenities were very nice. The skating rink, pool and gym offered post-ski fun that we appreciated. The place was all done up for Christmas with twinkling lights, cute stuffed polar bears and decorated Christmas trees every where. High 1 was either a short shuttle ride or energizing, view-filled walk away. We enjoyed our stay very much, though would note that the food options are limited and very expensive at the hotel and there are no options nearby. High quality food but very pricey. In general, though, a well run hotel that we would consider visiting again due to proximity to High 1.
Very good for ski vacation
As you may know, high one resort consists 4 hotels, high 1, gang won land, convention and condo. Last time I stayed in high one hotel who locates highest and shuttle travel time to ski house is longest time (about 15 mins distance) and connects to valley ski house. For gang won land hotel, it takes 5 mins shuttle travel time to mountain ski house. Which I think more convenient. Besides, 2 shuttle bus route to ski house, where high one hotel only one. for us if we missed the shuttle time, we took taxi, it is cheap. For most time we used shuttle services. more restaurants here and business hours longer. whereas high one resort, just one main restaurant and one cafe but business hours limited. If you are western travelers, choose gang won land or convention hotel is better choice. Of course ski house also proved food (cafe and food court). here room service serves till 3am. some people are freque.
개인적으로는컨벤션호텔
강원랜드와 컨벤션 호텔 두군데를 모두 투숙 했음. 개인적으로는 컨벤션호텔이 더 낫다고 느낌. 강원랜드는 스위트룸으로 업그레이드 받았음에도 객실 내에 기본적인 시설이 문제가 있었음. 욕조 물이 잘 내려가지 않고, 옆방과의 방음이 좋지 않았음. 반면 컨벤션 호텔은 물론 더 나중에 지은 건물이나 깨끗하기도 하거니와 정비 상태라던지 시설적인 면에서 훨씬 나았음. 다만 두 호텔 다 베딩은 좀 편하지 못함. 하지만 강원도 내에서는 제일 좋은 호텔이라 생각함. 사북음 근처에 크게 맛집이 없어서 호텔 내에서 식사를 해결했는데 개인적으로는 룸서비스가 제일 나았음. 강원도에 간다면 두말없이 선택할 호텔이지만 강원랜드 보다는 컨벤션 호텔을 더 선호함.
올드하지만 편한 부대시설을 갖춘 카지노 호텔
카지노가 목적이신 분이 묵어야할 곳! 가족이나 커플, 친구 단위로 간다면 사실 여기보다는 컨벤션 호텔을 추천드리지만 카지노만 하러 왔다! 고 생각된다면 별 상관없을 것 같네요 ^ 아무래도 지어진지 꽤 되다 보니 내부 룸은 약간 올드하지만 서비스적인 면은 좋구요! 음식은 내부에서 먹으면 약간 비싸서 밖에서 먹을 거 든든히 사가지고 와서 룸에서 먹는게 좋을 것 같습니다

카지노와 연결되어 카지노를 즐기기엔 최적의 장소입니다 시설은 노후되어 보수가 필요하다고 판단되지만 그다지 신경쓰일정도는 아닙니다

하이원리조트에서 멀지 않은 곳에 위치에 있고 시설은 나름 괜찮습니다. 강원랜드도 있고 수영장도 있고 편히 쉬기 좋은곳 ^

강원랜드는 내국인이 방문할수 있는 유일한 카지노입니다. 도보로 이동가능한 거리에 마련된 호텔이며 강원도 산골의 훌륭한 공기와 전망이 있어 산책하기 좋습니다. 방문객이 워낙 많아 차량 주차가 어렵지만 숙박하시는 분은 호텔 주차장을 이용하여 좋습니다.

좋은 호텔을 합리적인 가격에
정선 여행시에 묵었던 곳입니다. 주니어 스위트였는데 상당히 만족스러웠습니다. 가격도 비슷한 수준의 디럭스룸 수준이라 좋았고 청소상태도 양호했습니다. 카지노 때문에 방문객이 많은것이 좀 단점인 것 같습니다.

객실 상황은 전체적으로 깔끔하고 무난하며 실질적으로 사용 함에 불편 함이 없는 호텔이다. 욕실 깔끔, 침실, 깔끔 역시 5성급 인정을 하는 수준이다. 조식의 경우 본인이 투숙을 하는 날에는 하지 않았나, 아쉬움이 있었짐ㄴ 다음을 기약하여 본다. 맛집이 많으며, 자연 속에서 힐링을 할 수 있는 다는 것이 장점 ^.. ^ 가족, 친구, 연인들이 호텔을 이요응 한다면 카지노도 오락으로 하고, 자연에서의 강원도의 기운을 받도록 하자 ^.. ^

연휴때 갔었는데 가격대비 아주 좋아요 룸컨디션도 좋고 주위에 등산할곳과 골프장을 끼고 있고 직원도 친절해요 아침은 안먹어서 패스

주니어 스윗룸에 머물렀어요.. 청소상태는 깔끔했고요.. 직원들도 친절했습니다.. 특급호텔임에도 가격도 저렴했던것 같아요.. 카지노를 가보고 싶었는데.. 신분증을 깜박하고 챙기지 않아서 못가본것이 아쉽습니다..

강원도 산속에 자리잡은 리조트라 여름에 매우매우 시원함. 편안한 휴식을 취하는 여행객에게는 좋은 곳. 단, 리조트가 점점 낡아가는점은 자연스러운것이나 안타까움. 수영장도 좀 아쉬움
멋진 뷰와 여름에 시원한 호텔입니다
여름 휴가로 자주 이용하는 호텔입니다. 룸 컨디션과 직원분들의 친절한 서비스가 좋은 호텔이며 영화상영, 카지노, 불꽃놀이, 음악공연등 다채로운 프로그램이 많아 항상 만족하는 호텔 부페식사도 만족하며 다음 휴가로 또 가고싶습니다.
언제가도 만족
사는 곳이랑 가까이 있어서 바람쐬러 종종 이용하게 되는 곳~~ 공연도 보고 수영도 하고 맛난것도 먹고~ 꼭 카지노가 아니더라도 이용하고 즐길 수 있는 게 많은 곳이랍니다. 바로 옆 컨벤션 호텔보다 오래된 곳이지만 룸 컨디션 좋았고, 욕실도 깔끔한게 맘에 들었다는~~~
Impressive Resort
As we entered the foyer and reception area, the first impression we had was the sheer size of the casino hotel. The fact that the convention centre was located next to it gave it the projection of an expansive resort, rivaling some of those found in Las Vegas. It certainly had the makings of a casino / ski resort of international standards, with a good range of dining options and guest services to match. There was even a movie theatre at the lowest level of the building, tucked in a corner next to one of the carparks. Our standard room, though not large, was quite adequte and satisfactorily stocked with essential amenities and supplies. The bed was sufficiently comfortable and did provide a restful night for us. Our buffet breakfast was pretty standard with a selection of local and western cuisine, and though there was nothing to write home about, was quite acceptable. We had no occasion to engage any of the hotel staff, so have no idea about their customer service skills. As far as the hotel goes, I can see that it would be a real attraction for avid skiiers in the winter months, being located right on the ski fields. Our stay was quite pleasant and enjoyable, and it would be on our very short list of hotels to consider should we return to this location in the future.
좋은 뷰와 여유가 있는 곳
서울과는 거리가 좀 먼... 하지만 주기적으로 방문해 힐링과 재미, 여러가지 이벤트들을 즐기면서 쉬었다 갈 수 있는 곳. 객실이나 전체적인 내부객실의 모습은 레노베이션이 되어 좀 더 세련되어질 필요가 있으나 겉모습이나 주변 환경은 정말 좋은 것 같다. 또 불꽃놀이와 분수쇼는 정말 보기 좋아 매일 봤었던 기억이!! 또 카지노도 있어 간단히 재미를 즐기기에도 좋은 곳!!인 것 같다.
5 star Hotel & Ski Resort
This facility is huge and great, very South Korean style, big lobby, 6 lifts, elevator to go down basement. It's very convenient. Ok here goes 1. ask for same floor for the whole group or you will need extra key due to lift only take you on your floor! It is secure yet confusing when you got friend on other floor. You need their key. 2. There is a show on floor below lobby, take escalator 2 times, sing and dance show but it's fun, I don't know if they change the show regularly 3. some eating place and stores downstairs, 5star hotel, you got the price, but they have promotion like dinner after 9 got discount on buffet 4. great sauna with extra fee, go sauna immediately as the night getting late, it will be filled by people coming back from casino, yes there is casino. 5. the fitness also got sauna which is nice but smaller yet enough, remember sauna in South Korea you need to take them all off! 6. breakfast restaurant is before the receptionist so walk through reception to the entrance and you got escalator down. They have big screen Aquarium with nice fishes, animated but kids love them and we take picture with it also. Breakfast is plenty! Rooms are great, kinda old but still not that old. It will be very crowded when in winter they say as they have their own snow field for skiing but it is indeed nice hotel to try at any season.
갈 때마다 즐거운 곳!
여름이 오면 거의 매년 방문하게 됩니다만, 언제나 즐거운 곳입니다. 호텔 주변부터 내부까지 항상 예쁘게 잘 꾸며져 있고, 다양한 이벤트가 있어서 시간 가는줄 모르고 지내게 되네요. 특히 매년 여름마다 하고 있는 분수쇼와 불꽃놀이를 보며 식사할 수 있는 야외 부페가 가장 마음에 듭니다;) 가격도 합리적이고 음식도 다양하게 준비되어있습니다. 직원분들도 여름내내 붐벼서 힘들텐데도 항상 친절하게 서빙해주셔서 너무너무 좋았습니다. 호텔 방은 오래된 느낌을 지울 수가 없었습니다. 깨끗하게 관리되고는 있으나, 리노베이션이 필요하다고 생각합니다. 방에서 내려다보이는 연못?호수?와 전구 장식품...?은 언제 봐도 예쁩니다! (호수?뷰는 추가요금이 있습니다...) 겨울 스키시즌에는 물론, 여름에도 다양한 이벤트가 많아서 좋은 추억을 남길 수 있습니다.. 어쩌다보니 매년 여름에만 가게 되었네요:)
복합 리조트
강원랜드 호텔 카지노는 늘 사람들로 붐볐다. 카지노 근처에는 어린이 놀이방도 마련되어 있어 편리하다. 강원랜드 호텔의 최고 자랑은 여름밤에 펼쳐지는 레이져 & 분수쇼다. 라스베가스에 온 듯한 착각을 일으킬 정도로 화려하고 멋있다. 야외 뷔페에서는 식사를 하면서 쇼를 볼 수 있어서 편리하다. 강원랜드 호텔에서 조금만 내려가면 하이원리조트가 있는데 여기에서 곤돌라도 타고 여러가지 유희시설도 이용하면서 재밌게 놀았던것 같다.
Nice Hotel- Convenient to High1 - Limited Food Options
We stayed as a family of four for 2 nights over Lunar New Year. The room was sufficient in size for our needs, we had a superior double ondo which meant our children slept on the floor (korean style bedding). The location was close to High1 - 5 mins by free shuttle - although as others have suggested, the shuttle times are not consistent with peak skiing times so be sure to check this, if this is the reason for your stay. We actually found the room service menu to be a cheaper option than the restaurants within the resort, which were more specialised and not Western Family friendly. If you create a membership to Kangwonland (for free) you are also able to receive 50% of lifts passes & ski rental which is a significant cost saving. The concierge allowed us to check in earlier than we would usually be allowed, so that was an extra tick for customer service for us.
A hard hotel to review as a westerner
I can only review this hotel in the context of a skiing holiday to Korea. If we (I travelled with my wife) were to return to High 1 Ski Resort, we may stay in the hotel again on the basis that the rooms are modern and spacoius. The rooms and the excellent coffee served are the major plus points of this hotel. The two major down sides of the hotel are that: (1) it contains a huge casino which gets very busy at the weekends. People wait around in their 100s for it to open. This makes moving around the hotel in the mornings and the evenings not a relaxing experience and (2) the food served in the restuarants is okay but very expensive. Given the hotel's location, venturing out in the winter to the nearest town (15 mins drive down the mountain) is not an atrractive option so you are left with little choice but to pay for the expensive average food. In terms of access to the ski lifts, there is a regular free shuttle bus that takes you the five minute drive up the mountain. Ensure you take a bus timetable as whilst the buses are frequent the times are alittle odd at what most people would consider peak times for starting and finishing skiing. A good tip to escape the hoards of people in the hotel for the casino is to venture up to the relaxing hotel bar on the 23rd floor. One final point that we did pick up on but is not relevant to us at this time, is that the hotel does appear to be very child friendly. It offers good facilities and the restuarants all cater for children.
산속의 호텔 분수와 루미나리에까지
호텔내부는 깔끔하고 베드도 좋았어요 강원랜드 카지노가 5층이고 프론트가6층이에요 주차장이 꽉차있었어요. 여름 피서 시즌이어서인지도 모르겠네요, 예약은 필수입니다. 서울에서 출발하면 3시간30분정도 걸립니다. 체크인 시간이3시 체크아웃은 11시 시간이 너무짦음 저는 스탠다드에서 투숙했는데, 쌓인 콤프레써로 호텔 뷔페도 먹고 가격대비 괜찮다고 생각합니다. 가족단위로 놀러갔다 오기에 괜찮습니다. 야경도 좋고 분수쇼까지 게임을 즐기지 않으시는 분들도 충분히 쉬다 오실수 있는 곳 같습니다. 다만 최고급 호텔이라고는 하는데 규모가 그렇게 큰 것 같지는 않습니다.
Luxury resort with good ski area
This hotel is also known as Kangwon land hotel and is part of a range of hotels of the High 1 resort in Korea. Three hours by bus from Incheon Airport Seoul. We stayed for a workshop with a few half days free for skiing. Ski area is small but very well maintained, good for beginners and for fast skiers (not very challenging with smoothened slopes but some are steep allowing for bit of racing). The hotel is connected to a casino, and everything looks pretty majestic. My room was big and quite fancy, with everything one can expect from a 4-star hotel. Service was excellent, very helpful personnel although not many speak english. Most other guests were koreans and russians. there for skiing and gambling. The atmosphere is relaxed. The hotels and ski areas are a bit spread out so you need to use shuttle buses. They also bring you to the town of Gohan in the valley (15 minutes), where you can shop, eat and rent skis. All these can be done at the resort also by the way, but venturing out is more my way. The restaurants of the resort are few and the atmosphere is rather boring, perhaps because koreans tend to be a bit timid. The cost of the room was very low but that may have been due to a large discount for the workshop. Everything else is much more expensive, expect to pay 10+ dollar for a glass of wine, or 300+ dollars for a bottle of whiskey. Skiing is also quite expensive but it seems everyone gets a considerable discount for some reason or other. Always ask how you can get discount! All in all a nice ski place to stay for once. Compared to european skiing it is too small and the resort is not very much fun after after skiing.
