Enjoyable Trip to Cagliari, Sardinia
We were in Cagliari, Sardinia as part our cruise journey. We were a group of seven adults of family & friends. We enjoyed everything…the views, the cultural sites visited, the market and the food. We used the services of Guide Sardinia (guide-sardinia.com @guglielmoCarleo). Our decision to use their services could not have been better! Guglielmo Carleo exceeded our expectations. He introduced us to the culture, history and local food of Sardinia. He was punctual, fun, and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our visit to this beautiful and pleasant capital city.

Guglielmo was an incredible guide, with lots of great knowledge about the history of Sardinia. He was very engaging in every moment, making sure we understood and appreciated the ancient history of the island. Kindly, he was offering water and rest breaks, and gave us the chance to choose between different options of how we could do the tour. Really great guy to have a chat to, especially when on the road. Reliable and excellent service
Guilarmo is an excellent communicator. He has taken care of driving our family for the last two holidays in southern Sardinia and also given us plenty of history of the island and its capital Cagliari. Highly recommend.
Great service
Guglielmo was recommended to us by the host of our villa for an airport transfer. He made the experience seamless and so easy, and also enjoyable. He is extremely knowledgeable and his English is great, and he has a wealth of local knowledge. He told us about the history of the island, and shared sightseeing and dining tips. We hope to be able to use his services again while we're here in Sardinia.
Excellent drive turn your of Cagliari!
Guglielmo was our transport driver to Cagliari airport and although it was barely a 20 minute drive, was able to explain the landscape we were passing, the history and culture of the city. We wished we met him sooner so hope to come back to Sardinia and go on a proper tour of the island with him. He was punctual, informative and spoke perfect English. Thank you Guglielmo!! Sardinia Beach excursion
Guglielmo helped us have an incredible day! He picked us up at the cruise port and took us to the nicest beaches we have ever been to. He brought umbrellas, packed us a cooler with white wine, gave us a tour on the way to the beach and was incredibly personable. He made us a dinner reservation later that night at a great restaurant and even walked us to the door. I wouldn't book anything in Sardinia without using Guglielmo. 10 / 10 day!
Great taxi drive to our excursion in the mountains of Sardinia
The driver of Guide Sardinia drove us from Cagliari to the mountains for the excursion " Picnic with Sardinian Donkeys ". It was about hour drive and he told us a lot about Sardinia during the drive. Very friendly and good taxi driver

Direct wegwijs in de stad, aanrader!!
Guglie heeft ons de eerste dag opgehaald van het vliegveld naar een B & B bij Poetto. Hij nam direct een kleine omweg om ons de belangrijkste faciliteiten (restaurants, supermarkt en bus tickets) in de buurt van de accommodatie aan te wijzen. Ook 's avonds heeft hij ons vanuit de stad opgepikt toen wij de laatste bus hadden gemist en niet wisten hoe thuis te komen. Vanavond gaan we een drankje doen op het plein wat hij ons aangeraden heeft en we hebben er nu al zin in. We zijn direct een beetje wegwijs in deze mooie stad dankzij Guglie. De bus is ook zeer luxe en comfortabel en hij is altijd goed bereikbaar via Whatsapp. Echt een hele grote aanrader dus!!
Great tour guide with excellent tailored tours
Excellent guide and airport transfer. We were a group of five and we had a tailor made trip back to airport via a restaurant, tourist attractions and shopping. Very informative on history Sardinia, would like to have gone on more trips perhaps next time

Nice ride with interesting informations about Sardinia
We had a great ride with Guglielmo from Cagliari to Arbatax and back. We were travelling with our kids and it was no problem to get seats for them. Also water was provided and he was always on time. Guglielmo provided a great transfer service for our group. He gave us lots of interesting recommendations about things to try in Sardinia, and went out of his way to help us when we struggled to find our accommodation and was very kind. Best Driver!
Guglielmo saved us! When we arrived in Sardinia we tried to find an Uber, someone in the airport told us Ubers aren't allowed in the airport so we took a taxi to a nearby store. There were still no Ubers and we were stranded with a toddler. We quickly took to trip advisor where we found Guglielmo. We called him and no answer. I hung up and he immediately called back. He had just dropped people off an hour away and wouldn't be able to pick us up for an hour. He said he would call around and call us back. Within a few minutes he had arranged a ride for us with his colleague. He certainly did not have to help us, but he did an we were so grateful. We don't speak any Italian and he coordinated everything! A few days into our trip he reached out to see if we needed any recommendations for restaurants, beaches, or activities, which we quickly took him up on. For our return to the airport we coordinated ahead of time with Guglielmo. He was on time, knowledgeable about the island, and accommodating with our toddler. Added bonus both rides had car seats! Guglielmo goes above and beyond and we would recommend him to everyone!

Hace unos días estuvimos en Cagliari en escala de crucero. Guglielmo nos estaba esperando a la salida para enseñarnos lo mejor de la isla. Es un Guia maravilloso, con muchísima información, atento y agradable. Tiene un van muy confortable y limpio, nos ayudó en todo cuanto le pedimos y aprendimos mucho a su lado. Lo recomendaría sin duda! Estoy segura de que algún día volveremos y repetiremos con Guglielmo!
A Fantastic Day
We had arranged a private tour for our first visit to Sardinia. Our ship docked in Cagliari and we met Guglielmo (our guide). The transportation was in a large comfortable van that easily exceeded the needs of 4 people. After stopping a very interesting church, visiting with the priests, we headed to our primary stop, a very prominent winery -Argiolas. We were greeted by third generation ownership, and had a very interesting private tour of their facilities. This was followed by the best part - and exquisite wine tasting, paired with regional meats and cheese. Absolutely perfect! A great experience - with a most interesting guide. Highly recommended! I

Guglielmo and his team were Fantastic and really helped us out on a recent trip to Sardinia. The Cars were clean and well equipped and the journey was great both ways. Excellent service, superb communication and very sympathetic owner!
We where travelling to Sardinia on a big family holiday to stay in a very nice place in Torre delle Stelle this summer. To get to and from the villa we used Guglielmo's shuttle van service. He even came to pic us up in Cagliary one late night, when we were stranded there after forgetting the time over a nice dinner. Very nice and sympathetic people with great south Italian flair. I can absolutly recomment Guglielmo's service, I am shure you will not be disapointed.
Airport transfer from CAG to Simius
Had a transfer with Guide Sardinia. Even though the flight was rather early they were waiting. Transfer was great….. actually it was more like a guided tour. Friendly, welcoming, clean, efficient and safe. Would be happy to recommend and use again. I searched around and based my decision to chose them on my own experience of their service in responding to my request as well as the reviews. Very happy with my choice.

Amazing Day with Guglielmo
We had a fantastic day driving with Guglielmo from Cagliari to the north. He was extremely organized and professional in his planning, always responded promptly and arrived on time. He was engaged all day, very knowledgeable and fun in his story telling. The car was comfortable and he always had ideas to chat about to make the time so much enjoyable for everyone. Guglielmo is also very good at including everyone which is very nice for a group. I wouldn't even consider going with anyone else. My only criticism is with myself for booking only day with him!
Fantastico tours from Guide Sardinia
Guide Sardinia was a great touring option for me. I am from the US and only had a day and a half for recreation. No time to get lost or miss out. I received pickup taxi service (with Guglielmo Carlo) from the CAG airport in a spacious and clean shuttle van. Was able to make a quick stop to drop my bags at the hotel in Cagliari. Then got a wonderfully informative private guided trip to the Nora archeological site. Lots of great history and context shared on the way and the whole time there. Then a private tour and tasting at Argiolas Winery. Then dropped off at my hotel at the end of the day. I didn't have to worry about a thing. It was fun and relaxed. On the subsequent day, Guglielmo Carlo picked us up at our hotel and took us for a private tour of Barumini / Su Nuraxi " archaeological zone. So fascinating. Lots of time spent exploring and discussing different points in history as this place changed over time. (Even how it has become more understood over time!) Then we came back to Cagliari for some sunset time with the flamingos at my request. Just lovely. I can't thank Guglielmo enough for his customer service and commitment to providing a great learning and exploring experience. I felt very comfortable and enjoyed the small time I had on the island. I plan to come back sometime with my family and will definitely book with them again. Guglielmo taught me some fun Italian for my conference: " Sono felice di essere nell'isola del sole e del buon cibo! " English translation: I am happy to be in the island of sun and good food!

Abbiamo trascorso una settimana splendida attraversando la Sardegna e abbiamo avuto la fortuna di avere come accompagnatore e guida Guglielmo... che dire.... preparato, simpatico, disponibile... davvero, non avremmo potuto desiderare di meglio.... oltre ad averci accompagnato anche in posti non compresi nel programma, quando i tempi disponibili lo consentivano.... ci rimarrà dentro un ricordo meraviglioso... grazie ancora Guglielmo e confidiamo davvero di tornare e rivederci presto.....

Wir nutzten den Shuttle-Service als Transport vom Flughafen zu unserem Hotel und auch um zu den schönsten Stränden der Ostküste zu gelangen. Der Fahrer ist zuverlässig, überaus freundlich und humorvoll. Außerdem kann er sehr gut Englisch sprechen und kennt sich in Sardinien super gut aus, sodass er uns während der Fahrt sehr hilfreiche Insidertipps geben konnte. Auch sonst hat er sich um alles gekümmert, um uns einen schönen Urlaub zu ermöglichen (z. B. auch eine Terminreservierung bei Covid Testcentern). Sein Taxi ist ein geräumiger und moderner Bus. Der Preis ist auch absolut in Ordnung. Guglielmo ist einfach der beste Taxifahrer / Shuttle-Service Sardiniens! Absolut empfehlenswert!!

Der Shuttle-Service war exzellent, das Auto groß, geräumig und total sauber. Guglielmo Carleo spricht bestens Englisch und war super hilfsbereit. Er kennt auf Sardinien jeden Fleck und ist somit die perfekte Informationsquelle für Strände, Hotels, etc.. Er hat immer versucht uns in allen Belangen zu unterstützen, z. B. als es das Auffinden und buchen von Covid-Test-Centern ging. Der Preis ist für die dargebotene Leistung völlig in Ordnung, er will seinen Gästen einen schönen Urlaub bescheren und rennt nicht nur dem großen Geld hinterher. Das merkt man auch in seiner umgänglichen und freundlichen Art. Somit kann ich hier nur eine große Empfehlung aussprechen!

Ottimo servizio da Calaserena a Villasimius (andata e ritorno), l'autista del transfer: Guglielmo Carleo, si è dimostrato sin da subito una persona molto disponibile con una cultura del territorio invidiabile (da guida turistica), un professionista come pochi. Lo consiglio vivamente a tutti, non ve ne pentirete.
1.5 Stunden Transfer von Cardedu zum Flughafen Cagliari
Ich hatte einen Transport von Cardedu nach Cagliari gesucht und gefunden (120km). Super freundlicher Fahrer, der einem auf dem Weg noch die Gegend und Geschichte Sardiniens erklärt. Der Transferwagen bot viel Platz an und war super sauber, so konnte ich mich auf dem Weg zum Flughafen entspannen. Sehr preiswert und absolut empfehlenswert.

Exceptional taxi experience
Our trip from Cagliari to Torre delle Stelle with Guglielmo was exceptional. The transfer was on time and the ride was extremely comfortable. Guglielmo himself is the perfect chauffeur - highly interesting, entertaining and stimulating conversation, with excellent driving and a very comfortable ride. We cannot recommend this service enough to anybody visiting southern Sardinia!

Reliable, friendly, good for large groups
Guide Sardinia looked after our large group for ad hoc trips during our week in Sardinia - always very punctual, friendly, gave useful local tips and acted as an unofficial translator. Vans were immaculate - all covid-appropriate (masks, regular cleans etc hand sanitiser and wipes provided), and easy to get hold of via Whatsapp / phone.

Het begon allemaal met de uitstekende communicatie met Guglielmo. Reageert zeer snel en is duidelijk. Prijzen zijn ook transparant. Guglielmo stond ons netjes op te wachten bij de airport in Cagliari, gaf ons uit eigen portemonnee waterflesjes en vertelde ons van alles over het eiland tijdens de rit. The service could not have been better. Guglielmo was a pleasure to have as a driver. He was very reliable, respectful and a very good driver. His vehicle was spacious and clean and comfortable. He is also a great guide, he loves his island and knows a lot about it. He was extremely informative and very friendly. He also told us a lot of useful information for our stay. He is a wonderful guide. He has a big heart and is also wonderful with children. I can highly recommend him! We will definitely be using him again!
AMAZING PRIVATE TOUR!!
My family and I toured with Guglielmo on a European summer vacation. He was beyond incredible! His vast knowledge and personable demeanor was such a treat, he made us feel like we were family. Yes! We used them Again!!
This was the second time, my husband Leo and myself used Guide Sardinia, but not as a couple, as we brought 13 other family members with us this time. Guglielmo gave us a warm welcome as if we have known him a lifetime. He made his tour the most memorable of our travels of Europe this past summer. He was equally amazing and informative to all, as he was the first time we used his tour guide company. My mother-in-law who is a born and raised Italian loved the one place she had never seen. The Vineyard tour was so much fun. Even the young adults enjoyed it as well. We not only learned on how the wine was made, but we actually were able to walk through the vineyard. After the walk a table and spread was offered underneath a beautiful tree shading us from the Italian sun. Wine, Cheese and Bread were offered in totally Italian hospitable style! We later took in breath taking views of Sardinia and a walking tour to the Cathedral of Santa Maria, which was unbelievably stunning. I highly recommend Guglielmo our tour guide who knows his history and speaks english well. Never a dull moment with Guide Sardinia and Guglielmo.
Highly Recommend Guide Sardinia!
For two days in and around Cagliari, Guglielmo took good care of six of us traveling together. We were very comfortable in his roomy, clean, air-conditioned vehicle and enjoyed all of his insights and historical knowledge of the area. He was very flexible to our needs and willing to drive by a pharmacy and wait for me to run in, and even took us to a light bulb store where he personally went in to buy a lightbulb for a make-up mirror! When our tour was over at the end of each day he recommended and made reservations for us at good, local restaurants. If you go to Cagliari, hire Guide Sardinia!

anch'io recentemente ho visitato con amiche, la parte sud della Sardegna che spesso è meno conosciuta della costa Nord -Orientale, è l'ho trovata divina, soprattutto nell'entroterra ricca di vegetazione di un verde macchiato da folti cespugli di ginestre gialle, alberi di sughero e soprattutto l'incantevole vista di cavalli di piccola statura, tipici di quella zona, nuraghi a Barumini, tutto questo grazie alla eccellente descrizione " a tutto tondo ", fatta con enfasi e trasporto dalla simpaticissima guida. Grazie a Guglielmo, per la sua disponibilità, a soddisfare tutte le mie curiosità, al fine di immortalare immagini, nell'obbiettivo della mia macchina fotografica, che non esprime a 360° gradi, la bellezza e il trasporto della minuziosa descrizione fatta dalla superlativa guida. Excellent Tour!!
My husband and I spent the day with Guglielmo touring Cagliari and the countryside including the miniature horses. He was very diligent in showing us all the places we discussed. We were blown away by the beauty of the island and the competence as well as charm of Guglielmo. We wanted to see everything and we did including lovely Sardian wine and snacks. We really wanted to see the miniature horses and understood that a sighting is very rare but Gugielmo didn't give up and WE SAW THEM! Fuimos a Cerdeña buscando un poco de paz y tranquilidad y gracias a Guglielmo pudimos hacerlo posible. Desde el minuto cero, cuando contactamos con él, ya se mostró atento, amable. Nos dio información de todo tipo y una infinidad de servicios dese transfer hasta el aeropuerto, excursiones guiadas ya fuera en barco o por la isla. Acompañados de la mano de guide-sardinia pudimos disfrutar de una travesía en barco adentrándonos en sus maravillosas costas, su belleza y su tranquilidad. Nuestro guía, Guglielmo, es un apasionado de la historia y nos dio un sinfín de información de la cultura, las costumbres y el pasado de la isla. Todo ello aderezado con su gran humor que hizo desde el primer minuto que fuera una experiencia divertida e inolvidable. Tenemos muy claro que volveremos a Cerdeña y que volveremos a ponernos en manos de Guglielmo sin lugar a dudas. Lo recomiendo a todo el mundo!!! ich kann jedem empfehlen!!! This tour had been kindly arranged for us by our hotel. so we weren't sure what to expect. Guglielmo picked us up from the hotel and spent a few minutes asking what we wanted to see; what we had seen etc etc so we could get the best out of the day. Even when we were just driving along, Guglielmo was very informative & clearly loved what he does. He was able to give informative & interesting descriptions of the places we drove through (all in excellent English!) and was more than happy to pull over or make a slight detour for our photo ops. We had a stop at a lovely little church, and drove round some fascinating little villages. When we reached our main destination of Barumini, we went to get our tickets but was told we had to wait for the main tour. Guglielmo spoke with a few people and we were then lucky enough to be allowed in just before the main tour & have him as our only guide (as long as we were in sight of the others though, for security). He knew everything about the site & was clearly passionate about this particular subject. The site itself is amazing as as there were only 3 of us (including Guglielmo), I feel we got the most from it, and it was great being able to view it without it being surrounded by other tourists. After Barumini, we headed up the Alti-plano to see if we could see the wild horses. Guglielmo also stopped to show us a fairy house (which we wouldn't have known was there if we'd have gone ourselves). The weather was awful by this point, but we still managed to spot the horses and Guglielmo offered to give us time to have a walk around, but we declined. Instead, he offered to take us to anther nuragi site & museum (which we went to & really enjoyed), and it was great having this flexibility to fit in round the weather. At the end of the tour he very kindly dropped us off (luggage & all) at the airport. I would thoroughly recommend Guglielmo as a tour guide, I really enjoyed my day & we both felt we got a real taste of traditional Sardinia. Should I visit again, I will definitely book another tour with Guglielmo!

Gugilemo is a fabulous tour guide, certainly willing to personalize the tour to your wishes. We just casually mentioned that a church looked interesting and instantly we were inside. He had great knowledge of the history of the church and the stories were very fascinating. The Sardinian tour was one of the highlights of our cruise, far above our expectations. В апреле прошлого года мне посчастливилось попасть на Сардинию, в том числе и в Кальяри. Говорят название этого города в местном наречии звучит, как Коралл. С достопримечательностями этого кораллового ожерелья Сардинии нас познакомил наш чудесный гид Гульельмо). Тихие улочки, кафедральный собор, смотровые площадки, уютные маленькие кафе... Экскурсия доставила огромное удовольствие. Есть что вспомнить об этом солнечном городке. Надеюсь найти возможность посетить этот средиземноморский сказочный остров в летнее время года. If you want someone with complete passion for his country, an encyclopaedic knowledge of its history, excellent language skills and a great sense of humour - look no further ! We did the fantastic tour of Nora + Chia mentioned by other reviewers and also the Villasimus boat trip - where Guglielmo demonstrated excellent boat skills and detailed knowledge of the coast line. You do indeed get to swim in beautiful waters full of fish. We loved Sardinia and these excursions made a huge contribution - and this company has my highest recommendation. Go and enjoy !
the best guided tour ever!
Guglielmo is a fantastic guide! We went to Nuraghe of Barumini and the plateau of Giara and we had super fun day. Guglielmo 's knowledge of the island is very impressive, he puts a lot of passion into his work. He brought us absolutely wonderful lunch with excellent local wine. My husband and I had amazing day in beautiful Sardinia and we got home reacher in knowlegde and experience of Sardinia. Thanks a lot Guglielmo!!! We would definitely book another tour with you next time we are in Sardinia!
The Nuraghe of Barumini and the plateau of Giara with Guglielmo
This April destination of our choice was Sardinia. We wanted to see as much of the island as possible. We came across the excursion to The Nuraghe of Barumini and Giara plateau, which had an interesting description and excellent reviews on tripadvisor. On the excursion morning we met our guide Guglielmo, next to the Cagliari Cathedral. Guglielmo is a very enthusiastic guide and loves the job he is doing. He knows a lot about the whole island and its history, also how to entertain his audience. We visited the Nuraghe of Barumini, a World Heritage site by UNESCO - impressive fortress consisting of 5 large towers, surrounded by a village of circular houses. Guglielmo was our guide on this site. After Barumini we went to Giara plateau to see small native horses, which are not always easy to find, as they are scared of people. However we were lucky to see many of them or I would say the experience of our guide gave us this chance. Guglielmo took us there from another side of the usual touristic way. He was ready to go that extra mile for us the entire journey. We have seen a big family of horses; all of them had a little white star on their forehead, even a little new born baby horse. April is a very good time to visit Sardinia. The entire island is green and blooming. We had a really great day. Guglielmo is very charismatic guide and I would highly recommend this excursion. На хорошем и понятном английском Гильермо быстро ввел меня в курс дела, я узнал где купить лучший сыр пикорино, где находятся лучшие пляжи, куда можно сходить поесть, об озерах в горах, о лисах и зайцах, все о тех же грибах). Открытый, приветливый, пунктуальный человек - лучший выбор для тех кто ищет хорошего гида. Ценник ниже рынка, проверено. Есть разные авто на выбор от маленьких до минивэнов. Professioneller Transfer von Cagliari nach Villasimius
Wir suchten nach einem privaten Taxi da ich mit meiner Frau und unserem 10 monatigen Sohn reisten, um sicher zu gehen das alles gut funktionierte, wählte ich Guglielmo aufgrund seiner professioneller Schreibweise aus! Die Buchung des Taxis ist sehr unkompliziert und Guglielmo (Inhaber) ist sehr zuverlässig und professionell in der Kommunikation! Wir kamen am Flughafen Cagliari an und er war dort und wartete bereits auf uns. Auf dem Weg zum Hotel (Villasimius) zeigte er uns bereits die ersten Schönheiten der Insel! Was ich euch ohne schlechtes Gewissen sagen kann, Guglielmo ist unglaublich gut informiert über die Gegend, somit hatten wir nicht nur eine sorglose Fahrt nach Villasimius, sondern auch noch einen Kurztrip mit einem der besten Guides die ich in meinen sieben Jahren Sardinien erlebt habe. Kurz gesagt, ihr könnt ohne Bedenken mit euren liebsten reisen, Guglielmo bietet für klein bis gross die beste Lösung an. Der Transfer ist tadellos und Guglielmo ist einfach TOP! Guglielmo Carleo - Guida turistica eccellente!
Ho organizzato un fine settimana a Cagliari per un gruppo di 17 amici e mi era stato segnalato come guida turistica Guglielmo. Già dai primi contatti telefonici si è dimostrato molto cordiale e collaborativo. La visita guidata di Cagliari città, effettuata il 14 gennaio, è stata condotta con grande professionalità riuscendo a coinvolgere tutto il gruppo per più di tre ore mantenendo sempre alta l'attenzione con estremo garbo e simpatia.

Pozzo Sacro di Santa Cristina
abbiamo incontrato Guglielmo per caso, visitando il Pozzo Sacro di Santa Cristina. Lo abbiamo sentito così coinvolgente che ha raccontato a un gruppo di turisti che ha accompagnato, che non abbiamo nascosto la curiosità e ci ha invitato a unirsi a loro. Four Hour Tour of Cagliari
Guglielmo provided our party with a four hour tour of the city and all it's major sights. He met us at the dock gates in a comfortable and air conditioned mini van, as arranged, on time and with a smile. He was very friendly and very considerate of the needs of our 88 year old Mother. We also quickly discovered he was very knowledgeable about the city and a great Ambassador for it. Guglielmo took us to some amazing places and we had a very enjoyable and educational tour (the coffee overlooking the beach and sparkling sea was particularly special). We had an excellent cruise but we all agreed that our tour of Cagliari was one of the highlights of our entire trip. We would certainly use Guide Sardinia's services again if the opportunity arose.

Greatest tour guide in Sardegna
I had the pleasure of working with him for two separate trips. I asked him to be the driver / guide for Rally in Sardegna 2017. What's amazing about this man is he is more studious than any guide I have seen. He would, days in advance, check the location site by himself. He keeps it professional so he would often kindly refuse our dinner so that we could have our own meeting time. Him and his business partners are amazing in character. I would easily recommend this guide in Sardegna. He has deep knowledge of the history of Sardegna and I had a good time listening to his story tellings while driving. Strongly recommended!!
