Best place to stay
The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The friendliest staff we have seen, always asking if we needed anything, we had our grandchildren and one staff member loaned toys for them to play with. We travel to the Valley regularly to see family and find the Carleton Inn to be the best place to stay. Great location, friendly people, clean rooms. We always enjoy staying here.
Clean, quiet and comfortable place to stay
We stayed in cottage 9 for a couple of nights. It was clean, spacious and appointed with everything we could possibly need. Our cabin was quiet and comfortable and there was plenty of parking available. The property also has a fire pit and a couple of BBQ's with tables available for you to use. The owners are extremely friendly and want to ensure your stay is a pleasant one. It's a great place to stay if you are in the area. We would not hesitate in staying here again.
Great place for a vacation stay
Quiet even thou it was a busy long weekend. Cottage 10 was great. We had a little problem which they fixed asap. All the people we talked to we very nice. Would recomend to all. Would definitely come back again. Very nice place for a vacation anytime. Can't wait to come back.
Great Place
We didn't have a reservation but we got the last available room. The owners were so friendly and accommodating, gave us directions and suggested places to see. The room was so darn clean it was amazing. We had a lovely night. Highly recommend.
Highly Recommend!
Spotlessly clean! All of the amenities of home were available in the kitchen. The location is peaceful and relaxing, there are several areas for outdoor seating along with fire pits, fully equipped bbq facilities, a pretty garden out front and a beautiful lawn area in the back. It is a perfect base location for exploring the area. The staff here are wonderful! Everyone was friendly, welcoming and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Little gem
Always enjoy my stay. Nice an quiet and staff very friendly and helpful. I like the location. Room are appropriate and plenty of kitchen plates, bowl and all you need for cooking. BBQ pit available. Plenty of parking room and super clean room as expected
Truly worth the stay!!
The bed and room was cozy, clean and comfy. The kitchenette had everything we needed to makea small quick meal, or cook a full on diiner. The air conditining was great, or you had the option to open windows for a cross breeze. Pam was awesome and helped in anyway she could. We love our morning coffee and she alwazys made sure there was plenty, as well as towels, soap etc. We stayed 5 nights nd they came in and changed up sheets and towels after the 1st 2 nights. The wifi could be a little sketcy at night, but to be expected, as that is generally when most people are on it. No complaints and would definitely stay there again!
Our stay August 2023
We stayed here while touring the valley. The cottage was very clean and staff collected garbage and towels everyday. The cottage however was dark and very outdated, needs an update to 2023. It was close to the road and noisy from traffic.
Super cute and friendly
Absolutely the best little motel in the area. Very friendly owners and staff. Great for family reunions or as a home base for travelling and exploring the area. Clean. Offers a variety of rooms and cottages. Nice property for games, barbeques and camp fires.
Liked it so much last year, I came back again this year!
I booked one night here as we were only going to be in Bridgetown for a short stay. Carleton Inn and Cottages did not disappoint. We had a basic room and it was just what we needed. Spacious, clean, and comfortable. Pam, at the front desk, is wonderful to work with. She called to do a phone check-in and my card had an issue. Was able to resolve it quickly. I stopped by the office on my way out the next morning and we had a wonderful chat. It was like speaking with a friend. This was my second stay here and will not hesitate to book again.
Excellent Choice For a Weekend Golf Getaway
Amazing service and price point. Each year we have a group of 14 for their Stay and Play golf promotion. Christine is a gem and extremely accommodating. The staff go to great lengths to make sure your stay is memorable. From the BBQ house to the fire pit and the local cows that come over to visit you at the fence line, the atmosphere is unique and very memorable. Can't say enough good things. Congratulations Christine and Glenn in your successful venture!
Peaceful and Relaxing
Christine and Glenn are excellent hosts. This is an excellent property in which to explore the Annapolis Valley. Perfect spot for a golf get away at the near by Eden Golf course or simply a quiet place to unwind. Cottages range from newer to older but all are clean and have all the nexceeary amenities. Highly recommend.
Great quiet spot for a stay
I was only here for one night, but it was great. Check in was easy and communication with the owners was very good. The room was a good size with coffee maker, kettle, bar fridge, and microwave. The beds were comfortable, although I could have used a fluffier pillow (minor thing really). It took a couple minutes for the hot water to kick in when taking a shower, but that's just being picky. It's a great quiet, modernly appointed spot to stay on the edge of Bridgetown. You're <5 minutes to town and the highway.
Great Golf Getaway
We had a great trip and loved the accommodations. Christine greeted us with a friendly smile, as did employees. Rooms were spotless and very modern. Very impressive property - everything is well maintained. There is a cookhouse with bbq's for your convenience and the bbq's were very clean. Washer toss games and horseshoes were available, as were firepits and picnic tables. Golf course is only five minutes away and it is close to downtown. We will be back.
Golf get a way
Stay at the Carleton Inn and Cottages as a golf weekend. Our hostess was wonderful very friendly and accommodating. The suite was 2 bedroom and beautifully decorated. So nice to have air conditioning. Suite has a small kitchen with everything you need. Bathroom is big and has both tub and shower. Outside has a bbq area and firepits. We had a fire and music with a few tasty beverages. Wonderful stay highly recommended.
Very Nice!!
We had a two bedroom suite for 7 nights while visiting our daughter and family. The suite is beautiful and very comfortable! Had everything we needed and more! Christine and Glenn were great hosts! Really enjoyed our stay here and plan on returning !
Beautiful and comfortable room
Thanks to Christine for a warm welcome to our newly constructed room at Carleton Inn and Cottages. We were having a bit of a couple's getaway after dropping the kids nearby and were happy to have room 16, a comfortable queen bed, microwave and fridge, and lovely modern bathroom and large walk-in shower. See the photos for details. Excellent cleanliness and toiletries provided made this a beautiful spot to stay just outside Bridgetown. We will definitely be back!
Wow what a place
I can say this place feel like home. We got greeted by the lovely owner Christine and everything got even better after. What can you ask more when they have a BBQ pit with cover and lights, fire pit, lots of parking, away from everything and very quiet, air exchanger, fireplace, full kitchen, unlimited Tv channel including NHL centre Ice, 2 minute from the highway, town of Bridgetown only 2 minutes away. Im sure i will miss this place when i leave for sure. Everything is new in the room and beautiful and all the minor detail.
Another Great Stay!!!
As if we weren't already impressed with Carleton Inn and Cottages. Christine & Glenn put in some new units and they are amazing!! Clean clean clean!! Good size flat screen tv, our unit was a handicap accessible with a huge bathroom and very comfortable bed. We enjoyed playing washers with our golf friends out back although you also have horseshoes to choose from. After washers we enjoyed the nice fire provided with lots of wood. The owners Christine & Glenn can't do enough for you and make you feel so welcome. This by far is our favorite place to stay in the valley region.

Stayed at the Carleton Motel in Bridgetown, Annapolis Valley recently -highly recommend it! Our unit (# 7) had a queen bed that was extremely comfortable, a nicely appointed sitting area and kitchenette. The surrounding grounds and cabins show pride of ownership by the proprietor Christine. You could see the attention to detail she brings to her motel, and it was much appreciated.

Peaceful, quiet, spacious and gorgeous grounds including friendly cows grazing out back in the pasture. Most comfortable sleep-inducing beds, up-to-date cooking facilities, sparkling clean and a host whose love of her property shines through in every aspect.
Fantastic Stay!!
We stayed for a week in one of the cute little cabins while visiting our daughter who lives in the area and was getting married. Lovely accommodations with everything we needed to cook meals, entertain our young grandson and relax at the end of each day. Our cabin had a double bed, single bed, fully stocked kitchen (coffee maker and coffee provided!) and a bathroom with a shower. Christine gladly provided additional items such as a hair dryer and clothes iron and made sure we had everything we needed even during one of their busiest tourist weekends of the year (Wharf Rat Rally). The cabin was renovated, impeccably clean and well maintained. Christine made us feel welcome and part of their family. The location is perfect, the setting so relaxing and our daughter decided to take some wedding photos there. We had use of a BBQ and fire pit area with all the equipment and even paper plates. The cabins are located just outside of Bridgetown so it's more convenient with a vehicle but would be a nice fifteen minute walk to town if needed. We we able to tour the Annapolis Valley for a week with Carleton Motel & Cabins as a perfect home base. It was a fantastic vacation and we can't wait to go back.
Good value
Cabin: very comfortable cabin. Well equipped. Good sized dining table, two double beds, lots of windows for cross ventilation and a air conditioner. Bathroom with tub / shower. Very quiet. The only problem was one of the windows didn't stay up so I had to prop it up.
Amazing Place to Stay and Relax
Amazing place. Amazing hosts. Could not have asked for better place to stay and relax while the guys played golf with the Stay and Play Package with Eden Golf. We stayed in Cabin 11 for two nights and can't wait to come again. Cabins were so neat and clean. The housekeeping was perfect. There was nothing you would need to ask for. Such beautiful grounds with a BBQ area and Firepit. We would definitely recommend friends and family to come and stay. A home away from home. Thanks again Christine and Glenn!! Until next time!!
Another great stay at the Carleton Motel and Cottages during an annual weekend golf tournament at Eden Golf Club
The motel and cottages are under new ownership - happy to say that all the wonderful amenities and the friendly efficient service continue to be provided at this beautiful location. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and everything you need to make for a pleasant stay. Enjoy use of the BBQ's in the covered gazebo complete with picnic table, and paper plates and plastic utensils supplied for your convenience. Sit around the wood fire pit enjoying a sunset while watching the cows grazing in the fenced fields beside you. Visit the town a short distance away for groceries, alcoholic beverages or visit local restaurants!
Quiet, clean, cozy
Older place but the owners seem to try hard to make sure everything is good. Very pleasant folks and I would certainly stay there anytime. I agree fully with all of the great reviews on here. The cabins werent open when we were there but still had a nicely equipped room.

Great place to stay close to Annapolis Royal
A short trip to Annapolis Royal from this quiet motel. This motel also is centrally placed for anywhere in the Annapolis Valley. The motel room was very clean and appeared to have been recently renovated and appointed. Very nice and helpful owners.
Unexpected and Wonderful
Newly refurbished with everything you need and incredibly clean -- I would go out of my way to stay here. The town, in general, is starting to re-emerge and this fine establishment is going to be needed more than ever.
Best Place To Stay in the Annapolis Valley Area. BRIDGETOWN, NS
During our vacation in Nova Scotia we had the pleasure of staying at the Carleton Motel & Cabins. Christine made our stay very enjoyable. The cabins are well kept, the bedding is hung out on the line and blows in the fresh Atlantic air and is pressed for your comfortable sleep. We enjoyed the comfort of the full kitchen, and we were able to BBQ, and in the well kept BBQ enclosure. The grounds were very manicured and we got to enjoy the wake up calls of the cows in the pasture adjacent to our cabin. We would Highly Recommend Carleton Cabins for your stay in the Annapolis Valley. We will be back next year, but our stay will be longer...... Lawrence & Darla
Very cozy!
we had an awesome experience here! Owners were exceptional and the rooms were well kept! We were even able to get fast passes for upper Clements park here! The only downfall to the cabin was lack of cupboard space to store any dry goods and we were unable to connect to the wifi. The cabin was fully stocked with dishes and towels which was really great as it saved us from having to pack those things. Overall an awesome stay! Oh.. And they even have a screened in gazebo that has a BBQ and table and disposable dishes.. A nice added bonus to the stay!
My wife and I spent two nights at the Carleton Motel and Cabins
The new hosts were very friendly and very helpful. The rates were very reasonable for the month of July in the Atlantic Provinces. When I suggested a change to their methods they jumped at the opportunity to discuss it and promised to work to get it done. Four or five days after we left I discovered that we forgot our phone charger somewhere. We searched all our luggage and our van but no luck. I called the motel and the host walked to the motel room and found the charger. She put it in the mail for us and refused to let me pay. A great topper off for our vacation. Thanks.
Beautiful property
This was a small town and a nice motel. The room was spacious and had a table and chairs, fridge and microwave. The beds were comfortable. Property was maintained. They also had cabins and a fire pit in the back area. I would definitely stay here again.
A great place
We arrived at this beautiful place late in the day. Catherine insisted we see our cabin before we paid our dues. The cabin was huge, clean and very comfortable. If you enjoy great hospitality and comfort without high cost-stay here.

Had a one nite stay, in cabin # 9, full kitchen, bedroom, very clean, staff friendly, and helpful. will surely stay there again, 2 minutes from town. we sat outside in the evening and watched sunset. close to highway, but quite in the night.
Very Friendly
The stay was fantastic and the host bends over backwards to ensure a good stay is had. Cottages very nice and well kept. Golf course just around the corner and so is the local pub and shops. Very nice valley scenery
Beautiful place to stay
Stayed here while playing in a golf tournament at the Eden Golf Club located just minutes from these motel / cottages. We had a motel room with a half fridge / microwave / coffee maker and small table and chairs. Rooms have recently been totally renovated. Some of the motel rooms have full fridge and housekeeping kitchen with sink / stove. All the cottages have full kitchen. It was absolutely lovely - comfortable beds, sparkling clean, lots of room. There are outdoor BBQ's with an overhead shelter with picnic table for your use. Hardwood is available to build an outdoor fire in the fire pit. Outdoor chairs provided to sit around the fire - fence and pasture right behind you where the cows quietly graze on the grass. I am booked in again for a cottage during a four day stay for another tournament. Best value - a hidden gem in the beautiful valley.
Best value in the valley!
Extremely clean, comfortable and modern. Owners are friendly and helpful, without being in your face. Our room was well equipped, full sized fridge & stove, microwave and dishes / cutlery. Beautiful setting, and very well looked after. The owners should be very proud of what they've accomplished here. This place is one of the best kept secrets around.
Loved it
I stayed at the motel the Oct 12th, I originally booked a cabin on accommodations NS, however I received an email later stating to call because there was and error, the website didn't show the cabin as booked but it was, we ended up in a motel room with full kitchen. We arrived at the motel and the man at the front desk was very friendly, he told us about where we could find somethings in the area and gave us directions. The room was large and very nice, it was clean as well, it looked like it may have been newly renovated. It was a great price and a very nice town, I loved that there was a cow field close. We had a great stay and I will look forward to going back.
Dissappointed
I used booking.com to book a cabin for one night. On the website there were 4-5 available rooms / cabins. I received a confirmation # via email so we stopped and bought items to cook our dinner for the night and breakfast the next day. Upon our arrival the manager informed us that there was no way we could have booked over the internet as he was full. I showed him the confirmation email etc but he just shrugged his shoulders and smiled... My understanding of the booking system is that as a facility fills up the manager will inform the booking agent that rooms are not available. Clearly this was not being followed up properly. It was getting dark now at this point and other places were also full. We did find a room in the long run but we had nowhere to cook our meals and much of it was thrown out. If you want to stay here CALL!!! Do not rely on booking via internet!!!!

Lower Annapolis Valley treasure
This little cabin motel in a quiet part of Nova Scotia is hidden from the normal tourist route, but well worth the stop for a few days. Our room was clean with good beds and a nice bathroom. The refrigerator and coffee make were welcomed at this point in our stay. Conveniently located, we were able to hike around Digby, the Digby Neck drive down to Brier Island and back, Annapolis Royal, and the environs of this part of the Evangeline Trail. The End of the Line Pub filled our lunch needs one day and is located close to the lodgings. We passed a nice hour learning about the area from the locals.
A little Gem of a Motel!
We stayed here in July of 2012. The room was sooo clean. Excellent mattress and the small kitchen was a bonus. Like a major chain motel room but nicer and much cheaper. Owners were very helpful. We will be back!

I stayed at the Carleton Motel and Cabins for five nights in October while I explored the Annapolis Valley, the Digby area and Kejimkujik National Park. This place is great! I had a motel room (# 7) which suited me perfectly; it was very comfortable, up-to-date and absolutely spotless, with a well-equipped kitchenette that had everything I needed to make my breakfasts and lunches. Even the inside of the full-sized refrigerator was immaculate! The owners are a very friendly and hard-working couple who obviously take a great deal of pride in their establishment. The town of Bridgetown is a comfortable and pleasant 20 minute walk from the motel; you can leave your car parked and walk to restaurants or the grocery store. Bridgetown itself is a very pretty town situated in a beautiful part of the Annapolis Valley surrounded by rolling farmland. Kejimkujik National Park is an easy 45 minute drive away through scenic country. And on top of every other wonderful attribute it had, this motel was an outstanding value as well! I would highly recommend a stay at the Carlton Motel and Cabins, and I plan to go there again many times in the upcoming years.
Wonderful place in the beautiful Annapolis Valley
This was my second stay at the Carleton. We had a cabin last year, this year in the motel itself. The location is lovely, very close Bridgetown, a picturesque little town in the Annapolis Valley. The property faces east with the motel room windows facing west, so the rooms are flooded with golden light as the sun sets over the meadows at the back of the property. So lovely. :) The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Absolutely immaculately clean! The beds are very comfy, I had an amazing night sleep! The bathroom was also brilliantly clean, with a nice little tub / shower. Great shower head! Water pressure was excellent and there's a massage feature on the shower head which really helped my stiff neck. :) No hairdryer provided, but that's no biggie. The rooms also have full kitchens, and when they say full, they mean full. Everything you could possibly need to cook a meal. There's also complimentary coffee and tea, my favourite kind of tea no less. :) The owners are very friendly and helpful. If you need anything you have but to ask and they'll bend over backwards for you. Overall, this is a great place to stay: modest, clean and affordable. Check it out!!

Cabins are very clean, Beautiful scenery, horsehoes to play (if so inclined) there are picnic tables if you want to eat out, extremely friendly owners, can't say enough nice things about this place. We are definitely coming back here for our next visit (which will be next year!!)
