A beautiful day
We opted for the walking tour and the experience was truly amazing. The mix of colours and cultures and people around us was soon explained when we met Emanuele, our guide, and he started talking about the story of the city. We met in a small square in the Marina and we started walking the narrow streets surrounded by flowers and listening to the stories of people coming from the sea, invasions, lost cities and wars. Emanuele is very passionate about his island and very knowledgeable about its history, happy to answer our questions and interacting with the youngest in the group who were intrigued by the Sardinian flag. The youngest (and the adults) played the sounding stones in the city gardens and Emanuele explained us the sculptures in the garden. The tour was very interesting, rich of history and Sardinian culture, Emanuele walked us through the mysteries of a city we did not expect.
Amazing wine tasting and scenery
We had the best time on the wine tasting with Emanuele. The experience was authentic and the wine was beautiful. We visited a vineyard just outside of Cagliari, it was stunning. Our hosts were very knowledgable and super friendly. We got to try several red and white wines, carefully selected to give us a wide selection of different ages and production processes. We were not expecting it but the food that accompanied the wine was also amazing! I'm vegetarian and my friends eat meat and there was plenty for all of us. Locally produced and grown. Amazing and thoughtful and we were so very grateful! I absolutely recommend this trip for anyone looking to experience authentic and local wine, meet the farmers and producers who have such wonderful stories to tell, and to be taken care of by the loveliest of hosts. We were collected and dropped off at our hotel, all we had to do was turn up and enjoy. We will be back!! Thank you Emanuele and Sardfulness ❤
