Terrible!
We were all set for a nice, quiet meal of Italian food and were terribly disappointed. The person seating people placed a couple with noisy, whinny, crying 2 year olds next to us and they immediately started loud, ugly behavior. Why didn't she seat them away from others trying to enjoy a nice, quiet meal, Italian style! We immediately changed our order to " take out, " moved to the bar and left as soon as our order was ready. The manager said she was very sorry, after she took over seating people! Thanks for ruining out evening!
Not What It Used to Be
We have made an effort to eat at Lazaris whenever we go through Jonesboro. This was the first time my wife and I were disappointed with the experience. My wife has always ordered the chicken cannelloni. In the past, the canneloni has always been very thin and light. The canneloni has been filled with ground chicken and spices. Last Saturday, the canneloni was too thick and heavy for her taste, and some of the chicken was not ground up. My wife ordered the chicken and dumpling soup, which was lukewarm and too salty. She suspected they were using potatoes instead of dumplings. I ordered the mista salad with my meal, which was OK but nothing special. I ordered the fish of the day, which was salmon. It was cooked perfectly. The pesto on top of the salmon was absolutely delicious. My wife and I should have just split the salmon and skipped the canneloni. The service was extraordinarily slow. We ordered the strawberry cake at the waiter's suggestion. The strawberries in the cake were semi-frozen. The flavor was OK but nothing special. We got to Lazaris at about 5:30 on Saturday night. There were very few cars in the parking lot. There were no towels in the men's room so I had to wipe my hands on my shirt tail. I gave Lazaris an average rating because my meal was so good. Otherwise, I would have rated it poor based upon the lukewarm, salty soup, the canneloni. the snail-like service, and the lack of towels in the men's room.
Doesn't get any better
This is wonderful homemade Italian food. My wife's Shrimp linguini was outstanding. My Italian sausage with linguini was excellent. During the holiday season they add a little extra. A Santa Claus voice greets you as you come in and the show Christmas movies on the screen. Service is also excellent. I have read reviews that say the place is a little run down. Don't believe it. This is a first class restaurant with very reasonable prices. We loved it.
needs updated
This resturant is not what is used to be. The place is dated and the bathrooms were filthy. The food was just ok and they charge you for using a credit card. At one time I enjoyed this resturant but in it's current condition it's a no go.
Just not very good
Wife and I ate there last night. A small warm loaf of fluffy bread came immediately and little did we know, that would be the highlight of our meal. I had the Italian sausage with pasta and mixed veggies. The mixed veggies was a glob of brownish goo. Not kidding. The pasta sauce was very very bland, in fact I couldn't taste anything Italian about it. The Italian sausage was well, awful. It was a link of grease, has to be the cheapest grade of Italian sausage in America. The wife had the manicotti. It looked like it had been frozen and then heated in a microwave with a milky liquid puddling around the plate. Dreadful food.
Great Italian at affordable prices
Great Italian food at very affordable prices. Beware of the side salad as it is huge but very tasty. The bread came warm with butter and oil was on the table if desired. I had the linguine with meat balls which was very very good.
Great " Non food chain " Italian food
My go to Italian food restaurant while in Jonesboro. Mini loaf of bread always served. Large portions. Never had a bad meal. They now serve beer & liquor. Prices are fair. Casual dining.
Great food
We haven't eaten here in several. years. we love their bread that you dip in the olive oil. Their chicken soup with gnocchi is so good too. I had the ravioli that was stuff with beef and sausage. It is topped with white and red sauce. The ravilios tasted homemade. Super yummy and pretty on the plate. My husband loved the seafood cannoli stuffed with scallops, shrimp and crab. My son had the chicken alfredo. We will be back.

Second Best in Jonesboro?
Encouraged by the reviews, my wife and I looked forward to our visit after ten hours on the road. The waitress (by name Emma) brought us a loaf of warm bread even before we ordered. That was the highlight of our visit. Everything went downhill from there. We ordered two salads. My wife had the Mista Salad, filled with white lettuce, tasteless olives, cherry tomatoes past their prime, and an overly sweet dressing. I had the Caesar Salad, which Caesar might have wished to call the Brutus Salad if he was in charge of naming. Mush Salad might be more appropriate. This salad undoubtedly had been made many hours before. By the time I had it at 6 PM, it was crying out to be discarded. Overly drenched in dressing and definitely not crisp, this " freshly made eight hours ago " salad never should have been served. Remember that fresh, warm bread I mentioned? It was fresh and warm, but lacked the hard crust a good Italian bread should have. Oh well, the photos of the pizzas looked so outstanding, there was still that to look forward to. Well... not really.... the cheese and Italian sausage pizza was thin with a crispy crust (a favorite of my wife), but the pizza itself was just bland... no rich, spicy taste (reminded me of a sandwich made with American cheese) and a minimal amount of sauce. The Italian sausage topping was like eating a hamburger at McDonald's... no zest or robust flavor. It didn't deserve to be called sausage, Italian or otherwise. The entire meal was a disappointment. The only bright spot was Emma herself, a very pleasant person who did a good job. Otherwise this restaurant struck out on three pitches.

Lazzari was recommended to us by a local. We were NOT disappointed! Excellent lunch menu with pasta, pizza, and more. Great prices, great food, great service.
Surprised This Is # 2 in Howl Town
Surprised This Is # 2 in Howl Town! My granddaughter has just moved to college I. Jonesboro and we are learning our way through the restaurants. Italian is one of our favorites so happy to see this one listed as 2 for lunch. It was no doubt busy. Ed were seated quickly although I seemed to annoy hostess by asking for a ballpark wait time! Covid fears make me anxious to wait in a crowded spot. Our service was good once seated. My daughter ordered pizza it was very good. Salads are huge. Pasta dishes are served with linguine. Mine was north of al dente. Meat sauce was not seasoned to my taste. Glad we tried !
Group of friends
Met up with a group of friends for dinner. We are able to bring our own wine which made it special. The wait staff was very cordial and punctual. Food was homemade and exceptional.
This is not anything like authentic Italian
This place came highly recommended and I gave it two chances, but it's food was extremely low quality... And it's didn't even remind me of Italian food... Plus there is no wine... I would rather eat Chef Boyardee from a can... They need Gordon Ramsay, or just remake a menu from watching Lidia's Kitchen.... They should gut everything and start over.
Now that's Italian!
We (3 sisters and their husbands all from out of town) took TripAdvisor's advice and came here for dinner. We enjoyed a variety of menu items, and the dining was quiet as we were all concentrating on the good food. The service was prompt and knowledgeable. Though the closest of us is 7 hours away, I suspect we'll be back.
Would not reccomend
First of all we were seated by the mens bathroom door🤭, not a good place to put a table. we had a long wait for our appetizer, I must say my minestrone soup was good. Another long wait for our food. My salmon was dry and tough on outside, the veggies were mushy and no flavor. Another long wait for ticket and then another long wait to come back and get the payment. on the way out I stopped at the women's bathroom, no paper in either stall. So with all that being said in all fairness they were very busy, alot of people. The soup was good, maybe just a bad night but unfortunately I won't be going back to find out.
Not for Lunch
Went for lunch today and ordered Ribeye Sandwich. Server was great but the kitchen was slow. When my server delivered the food about 30 minutes after I had been seated and ordered I remarked that was a bit long to get a sandwich at lunch. She sent over the manager who had an attitude from the start. After demanding to know what I had asked to speak to him about, which I did not ask to speak to him at all, he proceeded to tell me my order went in the window according to his register tape at 1233pm and I was seated at 1235pm according to what his hostess had written on the table. So I guess I ordered 2 minutes before I was even seated, but in reality I did not.. Waitress brought me a drink and bread then turned in my order. Anyway he continued to talk down and rudely to me. Maybe someone should teach the hostess to read a watch or maybe the owners should insure that their manager is not rude and condescending to customers. Either way the last few times we have been to Lazzari's the food quality has not been as good as it was in the past and the kitchen was slow. This is not the first time I have seen or experienced patrons receive the same dismissive rude treatment that I received today. The servers have always been great and I feel bad for them because when the overall service is bad the one that suffers is the floor server who depend on tips for their pay. Avanzare in Paragould is a great Italian restaurant with friendly servers and manager, and where I will be dining when I want Italian food in the future,
Excellent food, excellent service
My daughters had a marching competition yesterday. They were starving and wanted Italian food. We decided to try Lazzari because we had never been there before. All the food was wonderful and the waitress was phenomenal. She was attentive and anticipated or every need. We left pleasantly full and all around happy with our experience.
Wonderful food and service
Great food and service. I had the bacon cheeseburger and fries. Was more than I could eat. Cheeseburger was great but the fries were unbelievable good. But the best thing was the Reuben eggrolls with sauerkraut and corn beef. These eggrolls are worth a trip by themselves.
Great place to ear!
This was my first Lazzari visit. I had the chicken parmesan. It was excellent. Look forward to trying another sumptuous entry.
Good but outdated
Decor is bad. Definitely outdated and dirty. Staff was great. Prices average. Good portion sizes. Food was good no complaints there but definitely had to overlook the cleanliness of the establishment
Dinner
Over priced. Mediocre food, small portions. Wait staff not friendly. Reminded me of Fazolis. Nothing special. Olive Garden tastes better and offers more variety.
Just OK
Outside the building there were weeds everywhere growing through the pavement and I was hoping that was not an indicator of the inside. Unfortunately I was right and the inside was dirty and extremely outdated. I'm fine with outdated if it is clean, but it was not. Walls and chairs were dirty along with the carpet. The food was just ok and the service was just ok. I got a salad and a pizza. The salad was way over dressed, but the pizza was a little better. It was a thin crust but it still held up to two toppings. The bread was good and coupled with the pizza it got an average rating instead of poor.
Best Italian Food and Service
I have been going to Lazzari's for over 15 years. They have best Italian Food and service anywhere I know about. Highly recommend this for next outing.
Amazing
In town for a funeral. We met some cousins there after closing time. Under the circumstances, they agreed to serve us. The owner waited on us, meals were ready in under 15 minutes, and the food was amazing. Perfectly prepared, staff very friendly, especially for being after closing, and prices were surprisingly reasonable.
Very Good Food, and Good Service!
The buttered, hot bread while we waited for dinner was especially good. Service was prompt and friendly. Highly recommended if you are in the area. We had the pizza and a pasta dish, both were really good. No alcohol served here, dry county but you can bring in your own.
Thru Travelers Alert: Good Food, Good Service!
My wife and I were passing through and chose to stop at this restaurant because of its good reviews and we were not disappointed. We got the Chicken Tortellini Carbonara and the Lasagna and loved both. The buttered, hot bread while we waited for dinner was especially welcome. Service was prompt, knowledgable and efficient. Highly recommended for fellow travelers - just 2 min off Rt 62 in downtown Jonesboro.
Good food at good prices
I really enjoy eating here. The bread with olive oil and cracked pepper is awesome. I really enjoy the mista salad over the Cesar. I have yet to have a bad experience here. And the service is good also!

Best Italian and American food in Jonesboro. There were plentiful servings and had to get take home boxes which provided another meal. It is a relaxing atmosphere and service was great.

My family have eaten here for years and have never been disappointed. Their pasta, meat dishes, variety of salads, and fresh bread always satisfy.
Good Food But Need A Remodel
Been eating here for over 20 years and have always received really good food. I think the pricing is reasonable for what you get. The service is good overall. I mostly get my food to take home. The apostrophe is not great, it's cluttered and outdated. Even a minor remodel with help from someone who understands interiors would go a long way. Worth a try nevertheless.
Pleasant atmosphere and good food
Dinner for two was quick and good, reasonably priced with a sweet and efficient server. Several families were eating when we came in. Locally owned and a nice change from what you could get just anywhere in the country. Lots of food for each order!

Family Birthday Party
Great food and service for a group of 12. I heard no complaints and our waitress kept the bread and drinks coming. The salad was a little unusual with a fishy taste but was really good. It was he best manicotti I've ever eaten and another family member said that he had eaten chicken parmasean from many different places and theirs was the best as well. I will go again.
Good Italian food
Consistently good food. Not as good as the better Italian restaurants in Chicago or NYC, but this is Jonesboro.
Can't get enough of this bread and olive oil!
I have to admit, I am not a big pasta fan but Lazzari's is one of my favorite palces to eat. I would rather go here than Olive Garden any day. The Mista salad is so good I am getting hungry thinking about it. You can add grilled chicken and it's a whole meal plus some to take home for later. I have also tried other items on the menu. Everything is good, I just seem to go right back to the Mista. Large servings for everything so my big boys get full each visit.
Great lunch
Very nice staff and wonderful food. We frequently eat lunch here and are able to get in and out within a reasonable time even when they are busy.

In my opinion better than Olive Garden! And I like Olive Garden😊Love the Mista salad and the Fettuccine Michelangelo. Not a long wait to be seated. Recommend to others who visit the area.
Disappointed
I have used Trip Advisor for years. Have never had a bad experience going to a top 3 rated restaurant until tonight. On the upside front of house was better than most. Greeted promptly, efficiently seated, and server was attentive. The quality of the food was the problem. Appetizers were sams / Sysco cheese sticks and toasted ravioli. Same ones served at the high school football concessions. Main courses showed up and we each took a few bites and left. I have never posted a review before but felt like this needed to be stated.

Good italian food. Served hot and large servings. The chicken cannaloni is very tasty as is the spaghetti and meatballs.
The food is really good here but the place needs updating in a bad way
If your looking for good tasting food at an economical price this is a good place. I honestly would rather pay a little more though and have nice bathrooms with more space for moving around, better silverware, better ambiance and decor.
Great locally owned restauraunt
One of my favorite locally owned restaurants in Jonesboro. They have good food and service. I really like the Mista salad.
Good Food, Good Service... but
We wanted Italian food so we chose Lazzari Italian Oven and were pleased with the food. We all tried something different and it was all very good, along with very good service provided by Sydney. The prices were also acceptable and we enjoyed our meal. We did have to take exception to the cleanliness of the restaurant itself. I commented that " the men's room was designed in the 70's and last cleaned in the 80's. It should be an embarrassment to management to serve such good food in an undesirable environment. We only hoped that the kitchen was cleaner than the dining room. We would definitely return for the food, but doubt we would walk in the door to get it.
Best Stuffed Flounder Ever with Fantastic Service
My wife and I went to Lazarro Italian Oven for dinner on a Friday night. We were greeted with a friendly smile and was immediately escorted to our table, our waitress, Hanna Taylor, brought us our menu and took our drinks order. She came back with our drinks to take our food order and spent some time telling us about the different items on the menu. I ordered stuffed flounder dinner. It included two, five-ounce, parmesan-crusted flounder filets, stuffed with Lazzari's famous crab and shrimp stuffing. Served with grilled vegetables, linguine pasta, and lemon butter sauce. I stationed at Keesler AFB, Mississippi and have eaten stuffed flounder all along the gulf coast. Lazarri's stuffed flounder was the best that I have had. I especially liked the stuffing. If you ever visit Lazarri's this is a " must try dish " My wife ordered Linguine noodles with marinated grilled shrimp, artichoke hearts, peppers and onions with sun dried tomato pesto and pecorino Romano cheese. This dish was also very good. This was just as good as the stuffed flounder. I liked the shrimp but the artichoke hearts were probably the best part of the dish for me. The food was great, however, what made it a special occasion for me was the friendly staff that we met. Hanna was the best waitress we have had in a long time. If you ever visit Jonesboro, Arkansas you must eat at this restaurant. You will have a great experience!
Nice little Italian place, but bring your own wine
Didn't realize Jonesboro was a dry town so I was very happy when a work colleague brought some wine. Lazzari is a nice italian restaurant with all the expected dishes. The food was good and was reasonably priced. I had the meatballs and linguini. The red sauce was tasty. The service was very good.

Good place for Italian fare
Arrived around 06:00 PM on a Tuesday. Bri was my waitress. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms to start, and the soup and salad special. Was brought fresh bread and spice for dipping. The salad was excellent Mista salad. And the soup excellent as well. The mushrooms hot and very good. Bri provided excellent service. This place met and exceeded my expectations. Give it a try it's good.
Food worth the price, not the wait
This is a relative's favorite Italian place, and my first visit. I thoroughly enjoyed my soup and salad-- should've made a meal from just that and the complementary bread. My husband's lasagna was also very good. The Chicken Carbonara was okay, but It would have been better if it had arrived hot. Despite our sweet waitresses best efforts, the service was so slow that one member of our party waited about an hour for her pizza, another over an hour. It wasn't that full for a dinner hour. I watched another table for two also wait a looking time and their waiter was very friendly and apologetic. The wait staff deserve big tips... from the cooks. Maybe we'll try again for lunch.
Always delicious!
I can't ever remember eating at Lazzari's when it wasn't wonderful. We have tried several items on their menu and have never been disappointed. The cannelloni are probably my favorite with the beef ravioli a close second. I tried the ribeye sandwich today and it was also very good but their Italian food is my favorite. The soups are delicious as well.
Worth the drive!
I had the crab stuffed cannelloni and my son had the eggplant Parmesan. The crab was rich and decadent and the eggplant had a satisfying crunch. My son had the chocolate cannoli and while he loved it, I thought it was pricey. I have been here twice and will be back!
Good for Couples, Families, & Groups
Bread loaf fresh out of the oven was so good & took the hunger edge off. The Mista Salad was a good blend & the dressing was complementary, not too tangy & not too sweet. I thought the Linguini with Meatballs recipe was bland & could be improved upon. Service was very good, but it was obvious the staff was really tired @ shift change. Decor was attractive & tables arranged with intimacy in mind. Located on Caraway Road (aka Restaurant Row) where it's easy to find.
Good food, good prices, great service
We went to Lazzari for dinner tonight after working a holiday show. It was around an hour before they closed. We walked in, and the atmosphere was nice dining (not posh, but not in the fast-food feel, either). Great for relaxing with family at dinner. Mom had a soda and I had the lemongrass green tea. It was so comforting and had a pleasant scent / taste. I have food allergies (dairy, shellfish, etc.) so I needed detailed ideas of what I could and could not eat. Our wonderful server brought out the cook to talk with us, and he helped me figure out what I could and could not get. This is so helpful, and I really wish more restaurants would do this. Mom ordered the chicken parmigiana, and I ordered the Italian sausage with linguini. She liked hers, and mine was so very flavorful, cooked perfectly, and the pasta was al dente, as I prefer it to be. The portions were huge, especially after the minestrone soup we had before it. We both had at least one more meal worth of leftovers. My server was kind enough to make sure I had tea to go, but I accidentally forgot it until we were halfway back to our hotel. After we were done, the owner came by to see how everything had been, which was nice. I like speaking to folks who run good businesses. She was very easy to talk to, like we were already friends. We let her know how well our server had done, which was very well, because she had been right there with anything we needed, polite, friendly, and on top of the dietary restrictions. It didn't take long to get our food after we ordered. We will definitely return here the next time we are in Jonesboro. Prices range in the $9.99-13.99 range for what we looked at, and that was for soup or salad, bread, and tons of the main dish. No way we could have left hungry.

Get the Fettuccine Michael Angelo
Visiting from Ohio and Wow! What a fantastic place! Best Italian restaurant I have ever eaten at. Even the bread is outstanding. I figured it would be great as they had their TripAdvisor 2014 and 2015 awards posted at the entrance and after dining here, I can see why. The menu selection was great. After reviewing all the different items to order, I settled on the Fettuccine Michael Angelo. It was the perfect choice. I highly recommend this menu item. I do not believe anything would be bad from here. The service was top notch as well. If you want Italian in Jonesboro, go here. You will not regret it.
Delicious menu and great prices
Lazzari's is our favorite restaurant in Jonesboro. They have an excellent menu, and offer and an endless pasta and salad for lunch and dinner. We've tried many items and have always been very happy. The prices are very low for the quality of the food and service you receive.
Best Italian anywhere
This is my favorite place to eat Italian. Even for a small town restaurant it beats any place I have been too. The bread is fantastic. My favorite dish is the crab meat stuffed tenderloin so tender and delicious. The pizza is really good also.
Upset Stomach
I went to have lunch today because I've been craving for Italian for a while. I've been here for a couple of months and people told me you are the best place for Italian cuisine. I don't write any reviews ever, but since you never reply to my Facebook message, I am posting my review here. I had a Cesar Salad, the dressing had an excess of garlic and croutons were saggy. On top of that the pasta dish I ordered was awful, pasta was over cooked, it had like 4 pieces of mushrooms exaggerating and 2 really big pieces of scallions all of it swimming in the Asiago cream sauce (the flavor of the cheese was almost nonexistent the only thing you can actually taste was dairy taste of the cream). I didn't even finish the plate, I tried to eat the chicken but it was over cooked too with burned ends is like they just put some random pieces of chicken they had left. I never write a review bad or good, and the only reason I am doing it is because I have an upset stomach with painful stomach cramps and nausea. It is the only thing I had today just in case you are wondering. Try to be careful in your processes and what you are actually serving, because the meal I had today shows that you guys don't really care anymore and on top of that I have a sick stomach. You are an Italian restaurant at least you should serve pasta al dente. And one other thing if you are wondering why I didn't say anything to the server is because she didn't even asked, she basically served our food and left. The right thing to do if you see a customs who barely touch the plate you served is at least asked if it's something wrong with it.
Locally owned and great food!
My friends, family and I have been eating at Lazzari Italian Oven in Jonesboro for years -- since the mid-nineties. In the last year or two I've notice they play this " Old World " Italian music. It's not very loud, and I love it. Along with the rest of the atmosphere, it just makes the dining experience enjoyable. Jonesboro received an Olive Garden a few years ago, but I would much rather eat at Lazzari. Both the prices and the food are better. Their Caesar salad is soooo good with their homemade dressing. A few of our favorite entree items include: Chicken & Tortellini Carbonara (had during latest visit), Crabmeat Cannelloni (husband gets almost every time), Pollo con Rosamarino alla Griglia (awesome grilled chicken pesto dish), the Penne Pasta with Grilled Chicken (great to split with my daughter), and the Crabmeat Stuffed Tenderloin (priciest item on the menu -so good). I highly recommend this place if you're in Jonesboro for lunch or dinner!
Not my idea of Italian
We have tried this place more than once and the service is always good and its a nice quiet place, the food just doesnt add up, I ordered a plate with chicken and veggies this last time and it all tasted bland with a slight unfresh flavor, I do not like olive garden and I think they have better food than this place

Great experience
The service was great. I was able to call in a oreser over the phone. In the next 10 minutes my order was ready. I went and picked it up with no problem. The food was fresh and hot, and i got a big side of bread for free. My meal also came with a side salad, which was yummy. I enjoyed the serivce, food, and charming atomsphere.

We never got our food. We had an hour for lunch. After 50 minutes we left. We asked how long it would take before we ordered. They told us it would only take a minute. We were there at 1 pm. not a big crowd. We only ordered sandwiches.

I am very upset about this place. We all say we will not go back to place. When the staff start talking about how big a person is. Or make fun of them or a old person. I do not go for that, that don't mean you can't go there.
Going downhill at an accelerated rate
I used to love this place and thought it was the best in town, however based on the last three experiences over the past six months, I now feel it's the worst in town. I would rather go to Fazoli's now. Me and my wife were there Saturday 10-10-2015 and service was horrible. To start things off when the waiter arrived to take our drink orders we informed him that we didn't need time to look at the menu and were ready to order. He unprofessionally told us " not right now, I'm only taking drink orders at this time and you'll have to wait until I make my rounds getting drink orders. " What?? Really, You can't go ahead and write it down on your order pad with the drinks? Maybe not a big deal but I just found it rude and unprofessional and have never had a waiter deny taking my order with the drink order, anywhere. Then when the lady brought out the bread and bread plates my plate was dirty so I sent it back with her and she returned with another dirty plate and then I noticed that the silverware was dirty also. The butter cup was half full of water which made me lose my appetite and ready to leave. My wife wanted to stay so I requested that the manage come to the table. Once the manage arrive I informed him of my concerns and of course he made excuses that they were busy (which they were not) and shorthanded. Sorry, no excuse. If you can't provide your customers with clean dishes and clean silverware maybe you should have closed the doors and reopened when you had a full staff of competent employees. He also asked what we order and that he would take care of us. Not sure what that meant, (maybe it meant he was going to spit in my food) I assumed he was going to discount the meal but when we receive the bill it was clear that he did not. I wasn't looking for a discount but don't act like you are going to do something about the bill then not do anything. Additionally several plates were chipped as well as my drinking glass. Looks as though they are not putting any money back into the business. At this rate I would be surprised to see them in business this time next year.
Wonderful food! Bring your own wine
Last night in town we found this diamond in the ruff. Almost passed it up since wine was not served. Most places without liquor license you can bring your own and this was the case. I had a seafood dish with Alfredo sauce, (think manicotti) my husband had the crab stuffed beef filet. Omg good. The bread was great and if the artificial plants were dusty we didn't see it. The service was over the top. I can't remember her name but a young cute little blond (very bubbly) she was great. The local couple next to us didn't know you could bring your own wine and we had a great conversation. Also we know good food being from south louisiana. I grew up an army brat, my mom full Italian and dad full southern. We have been to Italy and other countries in Europe and I love to cook and eat. Go to this place you will love it! The best part the bill was 35.00 and that included a 20 percent tip. Oh and good salad.
best lasagna ever
Have eaten here for many years..... best lasagna in the world! Lunch is also a great value with soups and salads. The fresh oven baked bread is served as an appetizer with cracked pepper and olive oil...... man it is good!!!!

One and DONE
Visiting from out of town. First time at this restaurant. Saturday evening at 7:30 and not too busy. We were seated immediately. Noticed several little huddles of the wait staff standing around visiting. We look over the menu, decide on what we will order, and then we wait. 15 minutes go by and not one person acknowledges us or stops to even take our drink order. It was then we decided to leave. We stopped by the hostess on the way out and explained our 15 minute wait with ZERO service was inexcusable. She offered no apology or excuse. Left and went to Cheddars. They were VERY busy. Got seated and within 15 minutes already had our drinks and appetizers!
Good Place to eat
The food here is great and usually the service is too. Sunday's after church are the one time that I find the kitchen to be a bit slow getting food out due to the crowds. However wait staff is usually great about keeping bread plates, drinks and salads filled.

Well, I would love to review the food, but I never got that far. I went in, and after standing at the hostess station for a bit, without being greeted, I was taken to a small table. I quickly noticed the table was sticky. The menu that was laying on the table had several spots of what appeared to be dried marinara sauce on it. The menu felt greasy. I sat there 10 minutes without anyone comeing to my table to even get a drink order. The table next to me, a family that came in just ahead of me, got drinks and appetisers. After being ignored for ten minutes, I got up and walked out. No one spoke to me on the way out, either. Not a good experience.
One of our favorite Jonesboro eateries
Lazzari's has been consistently very good for many years. It is strictly a local place serving Italian cuisine. Their bread is a favorite of my wife and me. I am also very fond of the mista salad. The menu is quite extensive with a great steak and excellent shrimp. There is a number of all-you-can-eat selections for the hungry (I never needed refills) that include a salad for less than what Olive Garden charges. Definitely a favorite of ours!
Not really authentic Italian
Traveling through town and asked hotel clerk about a quiet place to eat. An Italian restaurant with no wine was a surprise. Bread was good, but salad dressing was a little sweet for our taste. We both had the lasagna, and it tasted like it was made with canned Cheddar Cheese soup. Tons of mozzarella on top wasn't enough to disguise the inauthentic meal. And decent Italian isn't that hard.

The mista salad is wonderful! And the bread?? Oh my, it's dangerous! I always eat too much:) my husband and I agree this is the best restaurant for good Italian food and soup!
strange to find an italian restaurant in jonesboro ark
my first visit 4 / 5 / 18 was totally amazing, Todd, our waiter was totally professional and very attentive. Food was excellent along with price. However, today was our second visit and I had to drop the rating to poor. Our waitress was totally unprofessional, service was unbelievably SLOW. When she finally came with our salads I had to send them back due to not what was ordered. Failed to bring my soup and when advised I was falling asleep when she returnedI will return when I travel thru Jonesboro again... I hope the owners of the restaurant will read this and give Todd a pat on the back, they need more staff like him.
Great food for Great price in a Great atmostphere
White table cloths beneath a perfect choice of continous Italian pastas for under $10... continuous good service. A perfect place to take the family... children and all... casual or dressed. We used Tripadvisor to find a good restaurant while we were traveling through from Oklahoma. So pleasantly surprised!
Affordable & Delicious!
In a town full of chain restaurants and all you can eat buffets, Lazzari is a welcome addition. Each meal starts with a delicious loaf of freshly baked bread served with butter and / or olive oil & cracked black pepper. I prefer the EVOO / Cracked black pepper to dip the bread in - it's so yummy! For appetizers, they have very good fried mozzarella. So many restaurants offer this app, but at Lazzari's, they are a bit different. Not your run of the mill, pop them out of the freezer & into the fryer cheese sticks. Not sure if the breading is panko, but they are crispy on the outside & cheesy on the inside, served with a nice marinara sauce for dipping. My meal of choice is almost always the pizza. The cheese blend they use is excellent. There are many menu items I haven't tried, but everything I have tried, I've enjoyed. My only complaint, and it's just a personal thing for me, is the seating arrangements. Sometimes it feels like you are too close to the table next to you, making it difficult to have any sort of private conversation. There are also quite a few mirrors on the wall - I don't really like to watch myself eat! The service is always good and the prices are reasonable. I would recommend!
Lots of CHEESE.... NO Alcohol
Went there when no one else was there, but the hostess made us wait. Not sure if she was confused or just trying to have fun with her authority. Like it was packed just to Like others reviewers have mentioned. This is not a very authentic Italian restaurant. Ravioli is so covered in some kinda cheese sauce it's hard to tell exactly What it is. And it's far from Hot,.... maybe lukewarm. Pizza tastes like a frozen Tombstone pizza, which isn't terrible, if that's what your after. Did I mention No Alcohol? If your wanting a fast food type of Italian then this is your place. If your looking for fine dining, you'll be disappointed.
Never again....
In the past this has been a great restaurant. The last two times we have been here to eat it has been horrible. We have been served wilted salad that looked like it had sat in cooler for days and the bread wasn't fit to eat. We gave it a second chance after a bad dinner experience. Second chance was worse.. Not sure what's going on but we won't be back.

Great food! Servers are always friendly and quick to help. I love their bread and salad! The Crabmeat Cannelloni is wonderful! Great place for a group to get together for lunch.

Frequent Diner
I have been dining there for several years, always had a good meal. Their steaks are often better that at a steak house. Staff is very friendly; food reasonably priced. I almost know the menu by heart. If I have a hard time deciding what to eat, Lazzari's is most always the place of choice. You can't go wrong.
Great Italian in Jonesboro!
Great atmosphere, decor and music! The owner is awesome; she was right out there working with her staff and mingling with customers. The eggplant parmigiana was delicious! The only reason it didn't get a 5 / 5 is because they don't serve alcohol, but you can bring your own wine!
The best Italian I've found in J'boro
Food is always good, but service (particularly the hostesses) can be somewhat bad at times. Never had a bad meal here, though.
Great lunch specials
For seven bucks you can get a large salad and an awesome plate of creamy raviolis. The food comes out quick when you order from the lunch specials menu. This place is a Jonesboro original with lots of great service and traditional Italian dishes to pick from. I only don't put excellent not because of the food but the atmosphere can be a little quirky and drab plus the bathroom situation is horrible. Two miniature stalls in a high traffic area. No changing table or space to change infants. It's so tiny its hard to even move around. The food is very authentic Italian and delicious the place just needs a face lift.
Terrible service.. Good food
The food is always good. Short staffed, long wait times to even receive a greeting and drink from a server. I love their food but I will pass in the future until they are better staffed to handle their customers.
Best Italian In Town
Love the food, Have never eaten anything that wasnt good. Bread is outstanding. Food way better than any chain Italian food intown. Fresh homemade. I love he italian sausage pasta. Service was good but slow.

Best deal on Italian food for more than 100 miles around. Yea, this may not look like much of a place but the food is good. It's exactly what you'd expect (I mean that as a compliment!), the price makes it a valuable stop, the surroundings are almost quiet (try finding that in dining these days) and the staff are fairly attentive... doesn't seem to have been redecorated in this century, but it's ok. (Still looks like a used steak house from 1960).
Good Food. Good Value
We have eaten here several times. It was hit and miss the first few times we tried it, but it has increasingly become much better over the years. I agree with most of the other reviews. It is great food. They are quick and friendly. It is MUCH better than Macaroni Grill!!! We do not live in Jonesboro anymore, but when we visit we eat at Lazzari's nearly every time.
Great food, fast
The food was great! We were happy with the service and they were very quick. I had chicken Alfredo, my husband had spaghetti and meatballs, and the girls had pizza. Everything was really good. The salad is great as well. The only thing is we ordered the " all you can eat " and the server never offered us more than the initial plate, however the initial serving was more than enough! Great food and very reasonably priced! Very happy with our visit!
Leaves Olive Garden in the dust
Easily best local Italian eatery I've been to. Crab-meat cannelloni was the best Italian dish I can remember eating. Very rich, very cheesy, but excellent.
Great food and price
We were visiting family and decided to try this restaurant. Very friendly atmosphere and was greeted several times during our visit. Our waitress was really nice and informative. Meal portions are generous and good and the prices are even better. They don't serve alcohol, But, u are free to bring your own in and they provide the glasses. This is really different and good because u don't have to pay for something they don't have on the menu if provided. We ordered a variety of meals and there was 6 adults and our bill was only $80. Will definitely be going back again when we visit.
Yummmmmmmmmm!
When we first moved to Jonesboro, everybody suggested this place. We didn't go for a while because it looks like nothing special. Now we go at least once a month! I went this visit with friends. We fought over the loaf of bread and the waiter had to bring two more during our meal. There is something mystical and delicious about it. I usually get the all you can eat lunch, but this time I had the salad and chicken Alfredo. The salad is amazing, but they do go a little heavy on the dressing. I think that's one of the things most people like, but I prefer it a little bit dryer. The service was good, as always. We said no to dessert, but I've had the chocolate cake more than once and it's fantastic! This is a nice place to go for a special event or with girlfriends for lunch. It cosst about 10 bucks if you get lunch and a drink, and it's worth every penny.

Have the best manicotti and bread. Really like this place better then olive garden. was really surprise how good it was. A friend had recommended it and found it just as good as she said it would be.
Pretty Darned Good Italian Food Smack Dab in the Arkansas Delta
This restaurant isn't in Tuscany, on The Hill in St. Louis, in Boston's North End, in New York's Little Italy, in South Philly, or in San Francisco's North Beach but this locally-owned establishment serves " pretty darned good " Italian cuisine smack dab in the Arkansas Delta. Moreover, the large portions and low prices will have you shouting " Mamma Mia ". My favorite is " Number 44 ", Pollo Con Rosamarino alla Griglia. This is a pesto dish that I order with extra spinach. The size of the serving is so large that I usually take enough home for tomorrow's supper. If one prefers a " spicier " dish, try the Italian Sausage entree. Their salads are served " all you can eat " and I bet you can't eat just one loaf of their scrumptious bread. The only " downer " (and I've been a regular at Lazarri's for more than 15 years) is you'll have to wait in line with the rest of us for up to 30 minutes or more on weekends!
Still Great
One of my favorites. They are a locally owned and one up Olive Garden consistently. The have excellent steaks, pasta, chicken and specialty Italian foods. They have a great Mista salad and Minestrone soup. People make a meal out of the unlimited soup and salad. I think people would come just for the bread. It is nice enough that it is a favorite place for the young kids for prom and special dates.

I went with friends and ordered the the grilled chicken with penne that was supposed to have mushrooms and scallions on it. There were 10 of us there. We waited over an hour to get our food and when it finally came out it was all cold and my order was messed up. Other groups who came in after us got their food and finished before ours had come out. I understand that sometimes with a large group and a busy restaurant it may take longer; however, the restaurant was not even a quarter full therefore I feel that it should not have taken that long and we should have had hot food. I was very disappointed this time because I love their food which is why I rated them a 4. The past few times I've been there the wait for food or drink is ridiculous so if you are looking for a fast meal I wouldn't come here.
Great place for Italian
This is a very good place and the wait staff is always friendly. I really enjoyed the beef manicotti and the alfredo. The bread is very tasty as well. Give this one a try in Jonesboro so you can get some local flavor.
The last two visits were not up to standard
Over the last three years I have eaten at this restaurant on several occasions, and usually enjoy the experience. My last two visits have not been favorable. I had dinner one night in November and while the service was god, the food was not that good. The bread was excellent, but the salad was very wilted and the sauce on the pasta (described as a light butter and white wine sauce) was anything but light. I was disappointed, but figured that anyone can have an off night. I returned this past week and this was probably my last trip. I ordered the Salmon and Linguini with a " light dill sauce " and a salad. I never got the salad. I ordered the salmon " medium " with specific request to not over-cook the fish. I (finally) got the entrée 35 minutes later. The salmon was buried under a pile of thick greenish goo and was the most overcooked to the point of being inedible. I would have complained to the waitress if I could have found her. I finally gave up and went to the front counter and asked for my check. Stopped at Sonic for a burger on my way back to the hotel. Will not be back.
Really enjoyed the meal and would like to return when in the area
Wasn't sure what to order but since someone else was paying, ordered the soup and salad. The salad was excellent. Right amount of dressing. The wrong soup was served but I went ahead and ate it without any regrets. The second bowl was what I originally ordered and it was also great. Hard to pick one soup over the other since they were both delicious in their own way.
