The BISTRO at Bubba Magoos is located on the second floor and is a stunning space with mezzanine to indulge in wine, craft beer and tasty fare! The views of Peggy's Cove preservation area are magnificent. An open-air deck offers guests the opportunity to dine in the gentle ocean breezes overlooking Peggy's Cove protected lands. Bubba Magoos store on the mail level offers house-made fudge, candy galore, ice cream sandwiches, cold drinks, freshly baked items, souvenirs, and so much more. BubbaEATS takeout food window serves a variety of savoury food and a large main floor outdoor deck for families to enjoy. Before you leave, take a picture in our uber huge neon green Adirondack chair. It's the perfect photo-op spot.

Amazing food and service!!
Stopped by here after visiting Peggy's Cove and so glad we did! The food was fresh and the service was above and beyond our expectations. The gift shop also had a great selection. Highly recommend!!
A diner and a souvenir shop
The entrance to Dinner is on the left up the stairs. A very nice cozy little place with a few tables inside and a couple of tables outside. The menu is small but there is some enough choice to eat. The food is very tasty, my wife and I liked all what we ordered. The only " but " is that the prices are a bit high (+3-5$). I suppose this is because it is located in a kind of tourist area near the lighthouse. Nice friendly worker and you can find their souvenir shop just before the parking lot. We ordered The Bubba burger and Lobster Mac with 2 beers in cans (Tall ship and Pucker Up).
Excellent food option for adults in Peggy's Cove
If you travel to Peggy's Cove, only good option for great food but note that children not allowed due to safety and noise factors. Food and service excellent and quietness greatly appreciated.
Foody heaven
They serve the BEST haddock chowder. Service and food was wonderful. We sat upstairs and the view was grand. The decor was modern nautical.
Best Fish and Chips in Nova Scotia
We spent 3 weeks in East Dover between Halifax and Lunenburg and the best chowder and fish and chips was at Bubba Magoos. We ate there several times and the food was delicious and consistent in quality. It is the best fish (halibut) and chips in this area. The batter was light and crispy and the fish delicious. The chips were crisp with no oily taste. The halibut chowder was thick and creamy with a unique spice taste. This is the place to go if in the area. Any visit to Peggy's Cove should include a stop at this spot.
Such a great welcome
WE called in here at almost 2pm and the owner was very gracious and made fresh coffee for us. We (I) were. desperate and so grateful for this flexibility
Peggy's Cove gem
A recently renovated building and new restaurant to Peggys Cove. A bright interior with views of Peggy's cove from the upstairs. I had the Lobster Mac, accompanied with a green salad. The Mac was a perfect blend of ingredients, salad greens were fresh. My husband ordered the generous Halibut fish & chips, and liked it very much. Should be your first choice when visiting Peggy's Cove.
Excellent lunch bistro
It was raining hard, we stopped for lunch as they were opening. The bistro upstairs was lovely. We all had the Lobster Mac. To die for! It came with a wonderful salad. Some of us swapped out for the cheese biscuit, or the cormeal bread.. both were scrumptious. Well worth the stop.

Very nice atmosphere, friendly service, excellent food.. the chili and corn bread is a must.. recommend it as a quick stop for lunch and drinks

This new Bistro was just ideal on a cool windy day. Delicious hot seafood chowder with homemade biscuit, great view of the charming little community that we had just wandered through from a top floor table and exceptional service from server Janice... ideal! Go!!
bad service
We stopped in to get something to eat, the sign said order in the gift shop. So I went into the gift shop and the girl said to go up stairs so I did only to find the door locked. Went back to the gift shop and they were no help so we left. This is no way to run a business. Won't go back.
Peggys Cove - don't miss this place
I found this restaurant on google while looking for a place for lunch. I was a bit confused when we arrived as it appeared to be a shop selling some food options at the back. Luckily my hubby went to see what was upstairs and found the actual restaurant. Small but perfectly formed. Great views front and back, you can see Peggys Cove and the lighthouse from the front and an outside patio at the back. Lovely warm welcome from Janet and her niece and the food was fantastic. My hubby said it's the best fish and chips he's ever had and its one of his favourite meals so high praise. I had 'not your momma's chilli' over fries, one of mine, and it didn't disappoint. Janet also makes the fudge and preserves sold in the shop. You should stop here on your to / from Peggys Cove, you won't regret it.
Amazing experience in Peggy's Cove
This place is a true gem. My family visited Peggy's Cove a few times over the past couple of years and Bubba Magoos is a MUST stop for us. Super fun gift shop that has an eclectic mix of souvenirs and amazing homemade fudge. The kids love browsing the extensive candy section!! We also enjoyed a few yummy take out items as well. The bistro is gorgeous and an amazing addition to this special destination. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
