Great Location
Great service, good location accessible near D'Mall and near the water activities meeting place. They have pool service and room is neat with hot and cold shower. I am recommending this place if you want a reasinably priced accomodation. Thank you to the friendly staff
Great Bora experience with Le Soleil
Warm and excellent service. SIR AJ of Le Soleil is a very accomodating front desk personnel Breakfast buffet is satisfying. Lots of food choices Clean drinking water supply is generous Very helpful staffs Great experience with Le Soleil at Boracay
Excellent service and accommodation 😄
Our experience with the hotel and the staff was really good. The staff were all helpful, accommodating, and friendly. Along with that, the food served had a lot of options and it all tasted good. Overall, I would rate our experience as excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone who's looking for a place to stay in Boracay.

Le Soleil de Boracay: A Fantastic Family Getaway!
Our recent stay at Le Soleil de Boracay was absolutely wonderful, especially traveling with a toddler! We enjoyed a fantastic 5-day, 4-night stay, and the resort exceeded all our expectations. The resort's beachfront location is unbeatable, offering easy access to Boracay's stunning white sands. The on-site restaurant and breakfast were a definite highlight, with delicious food and impeccable service. We were particularly impressed with the seamless airport-hotel transfers arranged through their partner, Bamboo Tours and Travel. Everything was swift and stress-free, a huge plus when traveling with little ones. The staff at Le Soleil truly went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and happiness. Their attentiveness and genuine care made our stay truly memorable. For families, couples, or anyone seeking a relaxing and convenient Boracay experience, Le Soleil de Boracay comes highly recommended! We'll definitely be back.
Short vacation
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were big and clean. The hotel has a beach front location so no need to go far to be able to swim, also near with some famous restaurants and shops.
SCAM Rates
We went there to inquire about day-use rates and the concierge in charge told us that they don't offer day use, so our family decided to just get the overnight rate. The next day we went there to book the overnight stay but told them we will just be checking out by 5 pm since we only plan to have day-use, but we still paid for agreed overnight rate. Later the day the concierge told us that we need to pay additional Php 1000 if we don't checkout by 5pm since we only booked for day-use. Literal SCAM! Don't trust this hotel.
All good, recommend and would come back!
I was there 3 nights and have nothing to complain about. The place is clean, the staff is helpful, no noise, good location. Would for sure come back. I understand the breakfast is designed for the majority of their visitors which are from Philippines but as a foreigner I wish there was more fruit options, cheese and pastries. But that's just a comment, overall I enjoyed breakfast too.
Great for families
Great service! Kuya Jay at the bar / pool and management are top notch at this establishment. We will definitely be back for another vacay! They kept a close eye on all of our kids during our stay. Definitely a must 👌
Overall it is good experience. You get what you paid for
Pros Location beachfront Easy access to shops and restaurants Friendly staff especially Ron in pool bar and his colleague Reception are warm and friendly. Even gave us personalised bracelet as souvenir upon check out Cons Rooms needs updating Sink is outside the toilet ! Air con too noisy but cold which is good
Great experience!!
The staff and front desk were super friendly and helpful!! Location was perfect and the rooms and hotel were clean. Advice would be to bring an extension cord as the plugs are low in height and there aren't a lot. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would definitely come back again!!
Excellent place to stay!
The best in the station 2 for me, if you want a good old / classic vibes then le soleil is for you, all the staff are accomodating and will always attend to your need and the food is superb. so far nothing bad unlike my stay to other places last time.
Good experience
The aircon was really cold and the staff was great. The ameneties were clean, the breakfast was all nyum, and its very near to the beaches and restaurants. Great experience, we also had a free shuttle back and forth thats why its hassle free for us.
Excellent
Excellent in terms of service, staff, food and location. The staff is accomodating, yhe breakfast is very good and the location is perfect, the beach is right in front of the hotel, approximately 15-25 steps, your already in the beach. Except for 1 but major issue, you need to upgrade the appliances and cleaning of the room.
Comfortable and clean
All the staffs are accomodating, i love the welcome act towards guess, just that, there's no free slipper inside the room. Over all worth to stay and affordable plus it's beachfront 😍 no cockroaches inside our rooms, you also have to prepare security deposit upon check in, 1k per night, you can get them upon checkout, the free buffet breakfast is soo yummy, lot to choose from and doesn't repeat, thanks Le Soleil. Location is sfew walks to dmall
5-star for Soleil
5-star for the overall stay ⭐ Beach side, location is perfect for family with kids. You can see the beach while staying in the resto. All the staffs are polite. Rooms have hot & cold showers. Buffet breakfast is yummy!!!
Not all beach front hotels are created equal
we chose the family room with a Loft. and the A / C is barely working. the bathroom backs up, the toilet stink everytime you flush. we have an elderly family and we did not know it didn't have any elevator. it was a chore to go up and down the staircase. i requested for room transfer on our last day to save whatever is left of this vacation but they are taking forever to assign us a new room. it's expensive. i regretted and should have stayed at a nicer hotel
Good but bit disappointed
The room is good but not statisfied with reception. We stayed for 5 days. I asked for room change because my partner cannot walk up to third floor using stairs, they said they will check it the following day. The following day came and they said that there will be an available room the next day. So, we waited for another day which is the 3rd day, we followed up and didn't get the room changed because they said we will be leaving in 2 days.
Best Anniv Gift from Le Soleil
As soon as we stepped foot in the hotel, we really felt valued. From a very long scorching heat walking towards the hotel, we were immediately asked to sit down and relax. We were brought cold drinks and cold towel. The check in process was a breeze! We also got the best gift from them for our 10th anniversary which was a room upgrade. The room was very clean and spacious. Cold AC, Smart TV, Fridge, complimentary UCC coffee and tea, reliable wifi. Seeing security personnel infront of the property gave us so much assurance that we are safe inside. Bang for the buck! Beachfront, very nice view, friendly staff, decent buffet breakfast. The only thing that can be improved is the shower and bidet. Can use some unclogging and better water pressure. Overall, we still rate our experience as 5 / 5 and we will definitely stay here again in the future.
Wonderful!
Very accommodating. The staff are nice and the service was generous… The things we had request were delivered in a timely manner. Every one is friendly and nice… The breakfast buffet is excellent!!!!!
Superb
The staffs are super nice, accommodation is clean, extraordinary and we'll maintained, food is superb from breakfast to pluto and the service is superb. People there is accommodating and helpful, they even gave us bracelet before we leave. They also prepared extra special and bongga birthday greetings. Thank you Le Soleil looking forward for the next getaway.
Almost perfect
My stay was great. Hotel is accessible to white beach stores, resaurants, bars and stores. Facilities needs to be updated - tv doesn't work, difficult to close balcony doors properly. Buffet breakfast can be improved
Never Again!!!
My friends and I planned to for another exciting trip to this paradise island of boracay to relax and recharge so we decided to booked 2 rooms here at Le Soleil de boracay with the great help of Fe from reservations to arrival and requested airport transfers to cut the long story we arrived conveniently at the hotel thanks to Fe we had an amazing first day in the island and on the 2nd day we had a wonderful island hopping experience then at night we went out to dine and to chill in a disco bar after midnight we went back looking for our missing friend we assumed that she went back to the hotel for any reasons without telling us so we knocked on the door but no one answered so I called front desk and requested to open my friends room to check if she's already there but Joan of front desk said arrogantly that they don't have a duplicate key, right there at that moment I was worried and disappointed because this is a big hotel with lots of rooms so how come they don't have a duplicate key I understand if they will not open it for me if I'm not the registered guest in that room but I am so I asked him if who's the Duty Manager and he replied that they don't have a Duty Manager and they don't have also a maintenance at the time since it's past midnight so it made me more furious and angry at the same time how could a hotel mngt allow this to happen a big hotel without a Duty Manager after midnight and an arrogant front desk who doesn't know how to handle a situation like mine? I will never recommend this hotel again specially to those who cares for the safety of their children and companions.
Disappointed
Too many mosquitoes inside our OLD and dirty room. Power outlets are not so accessible as all are near the floor. Not enough shelf for shampoo and soap inside the shower room. Our stuff were placed on the floor while taking a shower!!. Though we booked 4 pax, they only gave 2 sets of towel, toiletries, coffee. The pictures in their fb page and website is unrealistic..
Highly recommended
We had a great stay especially because of the employees. Everyone was so nice and very accomodating. Beautiful beach front. 40 steps from the beach. The buffet breakfast is very good and alot of selections. Though staff was very nice we did have some problems. We had 4 rooms total in our party and each room had a small problem (leaking ac, clogged sink, broken faucet, molds etc.) that could have been prevented upon thorough inspection. Some rooms were better updated than the others keeping the standard somewhat lacking. We also had minor problems upon checking in as well. We were given 2 rooms with guests still checked in. They upgraded us to a bigger / better room but was much much farther away from the entrance and seem more outdated then the original so I requested to be moved to our original room later on which seemed to be have a much better updated layout. Overall we had a good and fun time staying at Le Soleil.
Review of Superior Deluxe Room
We got a superior deluxe room, i. e, 1 double bed and 1 single bed. The room is too dark. All the bulbs in the room are incandescent bulbs. There should have been white bulbs. The sink should have been placed inside the bathroom to prevent the room from getting wet.
Superb hotel in the middle of Station 2 Boracay
We were greeted warmly when we arrived. They offered welcome drinks and cold towel, that other hotels don't offer. The location is perfect! Close to everything - beachfront, D'Mall, and bars. Their staffs are friendly and accommodating, especially front desk attendant, Zephora and room attendant JM. Their room is clean and they proactively offer daily cleaning. We loved our 4days stay.
Homey
We had a memorable time the first time we stayed at Le Soleil last November 2022 that is why we returned again this May 2023. You will feel the warmth of their welcome and their eagerness to provide extra support to delight their customers. They have one of the best locations in Boracay and rooms are kept clean everyday. We will definitely go back here again soon.
Well accomodated stay at Le Soleil De Boracay Hotel
Very warm welcome by courteous staffs, they even acknowledged us for early check-in, which really is a big factor for us, we were able to get rest and recharge. Room is okay, food is okay. Will recommend this to others.
Thank you Le Soleil de Boracay Hotel
You made our Boracay experience extra special. Thanks to all friendly and attentive staff. There might be some minor hiccups but it was addressed tight away. We also loved their breakfast buffet there are plenty of choices and perfect balance from meat, fish, veggies and fruits. Thank you
Good food and great accomodation
the room that we stayed in is worth it for its price (we got a cheap deal!). I like that there is a mini gym as a fitness enthusiast. I also like the free daily buffet and the chill vibes at night (happy hour + music). It's a beachfront hotel so the beach is easily accessible. More importantly, the hotel is near bars and main spots to visit!
Value for money
The rooms might need sime improvements e. g. A / C however the staff is really nice and friendly so overall very good experience. Breakfast very good, especially the eggs were delicious. Nice access to the beach.
You can't beat the location
Very happy with the value for the money. Staff is very corteous, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast is rich and tasty. Location at the White Beach is priceless! A / Cs in some rooms are a bit noisy, otherwise there's nothing to complain about.
Wonderfull and Feel your VIP in this Hotel. The Customer service was excellent
Their room are beautiful set up and clean even though it's old, You will feel you're at a beach resort with the aroma of lemongrass in the rooms. we stayed 3 days 2 nights for 2 rooms 214 and 215 with my family. We didn't have a bad experience to the hotel staff The Housekeeping response to Requests from amenities to refill water was excellent. They are very fast. and when you meet them in the corridor, their greetings are sincere. Sir Frank, who brought us to our room, explained very well their facilities while we are walking and his promotion of the Pool Barbeque and complimentary inside the room. Thanks also to Faith, Zeph and Jolen for the Fast Check In and Check Out. We will come back with my classmates on December hope we have a better discount 😊 Thank You Lesoleil for a unforgetable experience.
Highly recommend!
Everything about my stay has been amazing! The staff are so friendly, welcoming and attentive! My room was absolutely stunning, it complemented Boracay Island beautifully! I didnt want to leave. Thank you to all the staff for working so hard and making the place look pristine
Superb beachfront hotel at Station 2
Highly recommended. Service is EXCELLENT.. staff always smiling, greets you all the time, asks how you are, attends to your needs fast, finds a way to make your stay as comfortable as possible.. from Front Desk (Faith, Zeph) to Cafe / Bar crew (Raffy, Oliver, et al) to Security personnel to room attendants to Reservations (Vangie), all deserve a thumbs up. Special mention goes to Faith of Front Desk -- appreciate the parasailing booking, the daily supplies, the daily beach towels and mat, the new slippers, the souvenir bracelets and the checkout assistance... hope to see you again when we go back to Boracay.
The best!:)
The best beachfront hotel in the island, just a stones throw away from the crystal clear waters. The staff are courteous. The rooms are clean. The breakfast buffet included is a huge plus. Highly recommended and will definitely come back!
L soleil stay
Very accommodating staff, always greeting their guests. And immediately responds to queries. I had fun staying. 😀 Will definitely recommend this place Good breakfast buffet. Pool is friendly and cozy.
Le Solei Hotel
Staff are really accommodating and the service is impeccable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who's planning to visit Boracay. Location is superb and accessible to all the popular restaurants and tourist attractions.
Great service orientation of staff!
The whole staff of Le Soleil has been nothing short of amazing. Their service orientation is great. Our room was okay, it's classic and will need a refresh (needs better lighting and bathroom config so as not to wet the whole place when taking a shower). The farthest building from the beachfront has been refreshed already but has no view. I was told the the rest of the buildings will follow. When that happens, Le Soleil will be back in the running for those sought after beachfronting hotels in the main station of Boracay.
Thank You Le Soleil De Boracay
Thank You to the staff of Le Soleil de Boracay The Housekeeping staff specially the Cheerfull Chubby their Leader who assisting us they make our room Spic and Span. Kudos to All. We staying for 4Days in Room 306 and 125 The Food is Good, The Staff are Very Friendly and helpful in Restaurant. My Family Enjoyed much specially my Kids. We will Back on Septerber. 5 Thumbs Up and 5 Star to This Hotel
Le Soleil de Boracay
Food is good, Room is just an average, so dark, not enough lights, fridge not working Services are the worst, we asked for room cleaning at 10 am, but we we go back at around 7pm that day, nothing has changed, the next morning for towel replacement, but we didnt get any towel. Bot recommended.
Great stay at Le Soleil de Boracay
We stayed at Le Soleil de Boracay last week and it was such a pleasant stay. Aside from the ideal location of it being beachfront, the service was impeccable. Front desk we're truly pleasant. Faith and Zephora did a smooth check-in and guided us with our stay information. You can also feel the warmth from all the staff every time you meet them. Our room was spacious and our request for a ground floor room was accommodated. Krayta, Khryss and the other tall waiter (male), also did an outstanding F & B service. We also had a gift from Le Soleil upon checkout which were personalized native bracelets. World class service from a local hotel! We'll definitely stay at this hotel again.
On the beach
Right on the beach but away from any roads. Good and varied breakfast. Excellent restaurant for evening meals. Rooms spacious with outdoor sitting area. cleaned every day to excellent standard. many eateries in surrounding area.
super Lage; sehr freundliches Personal
Best Beachfront!
It has an uninterrupted view of the beach and it was always great to start the day by having coffee and breakfast while staring at the blue waters. Customer service is exceptional, from the reception, concierge, attendants and restaurant staff. We arrived after the typhoon and electricity was cut for more than 4 weeks. The hotel was business as usual and gensets were operational 24 / 7. We have not felt any discomfort during our 3 nights stay. The pool was not available as it was contaminated with rainwater, just in time for its repair. No elevators in the hotel, maybe not an issue for us at this time as we can use the staircase with ease. There are rooms too far from the lobby and restaurant so make sure to ask for a room near the main area. Rooms have the basic stuff, fixed bed everyday, towels, basic toiletries, a pitcher of drinking water, TV with local cable, instant coffee / tea, mini-ref with items for sale and the hot / cold shower. The bathroom needs improvement, the whole floor gets to be flooded while taking a shower. The sink is weirdly installed beside the cabinet. Hopefully it is only our room that has this floor plan. The hotel is near a narrow alley going the the main road. Hospital and pharmacy are nearby in case of an emergency, which is one thing that is nice to know. Breakfast has 2 sets of menu being alternately served. So expect to have twice the same menu for a 4 nights stay. Always present are the breads, fruits, omelletes, coffee and juice. It was included in our room rate so I am not sure if paying separately for the breakfast is worth it. At the end of our stay, the price we paid was for its location. I believe that is worth it already.
Excelente
Recomendo
Good, but could easily be Great
We stayed five nights in a Family Room with two queen beds and a sofa large enough for our 11yr old son to sleep on. Not the most spacious of family rooms but Boracay isn't somewhere you spend a great deal of time in the room. Bathroom & room facilities were fine. The pool area is small but nice - especially well-lit in the evening, with a romantic feel. The pool itself is dangerous, with sharp edges on the steps inside the pool - my daughter cut her toe on one. A few broken tiles along the edges. Staff were very friendly & helpful, especially the reception staff. Breakfast, as others have mentioned, is a huge let down compared to the rest of the hotel. Every day exactly the same menu, ridiculous.... and none of it very tasty. Fruit always looked half spoiled, the bread dry, bacon over burnt and very little hot-food selection. Only the omelettes were tasty. Even though we had breakfast included in the room price we still chose to eat out on 2 mornings. It's that bad. However, I'd stay here again as the location is perfect and everything is just ok. The hotel, with some care, could easily be much better...
Cheap and cheerful
Nice place if you're on a budget but want a little 'niceness'. Rooms were adequate and facilities like the pool and bar was nice. Breakfast was a bit average and did get couple of mosquito bites in the room, but other than that, would stay again.
Strategically located at the center of all the happenings. Buffet is really good and very affordable too!
Despite being close to the party places, we didn't really hear loud music from our room. So if you want a sound sleep at night, ask for the rooms that's just a few steps away from the reception. We got their Premiere Room that is just a located at the ground level and is facing the pool. The room has two queen size beds and is spacious enough to house three guests. They also got towels and toiletries in the bathroom so that will save you so much space in your bags. The resort also has their own pool in case you want to go for a dip where it's more private and less crowded. Their restaurant offers buffet that is, I heard, one of the bests in the island. For only around Php400, you may already enjoy unlimited food including shrimps, oysters, mussels, and crabs!
Confortable hotel
We like this hotel not too big, very clean with lovely kind staff, near d mall shopping area, they have also a very nice buffet restaurant with a lot of choice every day, the room are large with a Good soft matress
Nice central location friendly staff
First time to stay at this hotel, but I have been to Boracay over 10 times. This hotels location is great as it is in station 2. Let's start with the few minor bad issues. Upon check in our room on the ground floor facing the pool, had a bad smell coming from the bathroom. We requested to change rooms and they accommodated our request quickly and we got one upstairs instead. No face towels or glasses in the bathroom for toothbrush Wifi was also unable to connect. Now for the good. The front desk staff and manager Jimmy were incredibly friendly. Very attentive to our needs and requests. The location was central and there are many restaurants nearby. Our room came with breakfast, it was mostly a Filipino breakfast buffet, had fresh fruit, cereals, etc. there were beach lounge chairs in the front and security as well. We never had a problem getting a lounge chair. Towels available at front desk. We arrived early and they accommodated us an earlier check in before 2pm which was good. The pool was also a nice addition. If you are a globe subscriber there is LTE data available as well. Overall value for money proposition this hotel is a pretty good deal. I would recommend this hotel! 👍
A stay that was even better than before!
I wrote a review for a previous stay in April 2010 and came back for a short unplanned visit in October of this year. I didnt get an early check in but my room was upgraded. Food was awesome - breakfast and dinner! Pool area was clean and not crowded / busy as everyone is on the beach. Room was superb and clean. Cant beat the location as you're literally steps away from the beach (maybe less than 50!) Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially when I thought I lost a bag of personal belongings which was found as a staff member had put it aside as I forgot to claim it upon checkin (they also store your baggage if you come before check in time) I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good location away from Station 1.
Pretty Cool place
Located in station 2 just a few walk to the beach and about 5-10 min walk to D'Mall. Their hotel is big with function room, restaurant and big pool. Our room is big enough for group of 5 people. And buffet breakfast is a feast! You may request benches should you want to relax in front of the beach and get lazy. Dont forget buckets and shovel for the kids. They have security to watch over your things. A bit pricey but worth to stay. Enjoy! 😀👌
Wonderful stay
After searching endlessly through numerous hotels we decided on Le Soleil and we have no regrets whatsoever. First this hotel is located in Station 2, which is in the heart of Boracay. Some do not like the busy factor, but this is what Boracay is. We think the location is perfect. We walked to Station 1 and felt that it was very exposed (not many trees) and the restaurants and bars on the beach were few. Station 2 offered a lot and there was a great deal of shade. Station 3 is less expensive, but also a little less desirable. When we walked in to Le Soleil we received a welcome drink that was delicious! Our room wasn't ready for us, but they stored our luggage and gave us towels to use until it was ready. The gentleman who stored the luggage as well as the front desk clerk were extremely helpful and kind. I even took a look at the oceanfront room to see if we wanted to upgrade. They are beautiful, but they face the afternoon heat and that is why I didn't choose it. But for others who enjoy the direct sun they would be a great option. We received a second floor room as I requested and it was above the pool. It was small. It did have a refrigerator that was stocked with mini bar items, but they said we could swap with our own and return the mini bar items when we were finished. Some people complain about the noise from the bars in Station 2, but we found that the noise was not an issue. We could faintly hear music, but I think because the rooms were set back in the hotel this wasn't a factor. The only suggestion I have is that they need to clean under the beds and in the showers a little better. Overall we had a wonderful experience. The staff was always friendly and accommodating. There are people right outside the hotel ready to offer tours and if you receive information from someone, ask the front desk if they know the person and if they are reputable. We did this and they and the knew the person and we enjoyed our tour. We traveled in April and tips for those traveling between February and April - there is green algae. This has nothing to do with the hotel, but it did impact our ability to go in the water. They say it isn't harmful, but it did make my skin itch. It's probably just how some people react to it. I'm sure others are just fine with it. Even when you go past the thicker portion at shore, it's still further out. We will definitely stay here again if we return! We would love to see the beautiful turquoise water.
good area, nice staff
we went here for a company outing in 2013. it was my first time in boracay and this hotel made my stay really nice :) we stayed for 2 nights. the rooms were big, we had triple sharing (additional single bed). the queen-sized bed was comfy and always clean. food is good too. a bit far from shops though.
Clean, beachfront hotel
We stayed at Le Soleil from. June 15-18, 2016. Reception staff were very accommodating and always willing to help. Upon Check-in, we were given a glass of iced tea, a glass of water which we highly appreciate due to warm weather and a shell garland. Everyday, they have several newspapers which you can pick up from the lobby guard. They have the Daily Inquirer, Philippine Star, Business Mirror, Boracay Sand. Staying at lobby during daytime makes you uncomfortable because of the warm weather. An electric fan will help if they put it in the sala area. Staying at the lobby at night keeps you more uncomfortable because of the mosquitoes flying around and biting me. I would have wanted to read the newspapers there. We booked at room 205, a de luxe room with a window facing the wall of an air well. The toilet and the room was totally clean, no complaints. Shower area was too small. Bed was firm with clean linens. The television is outdated. I wonder why they can't replace it considering that flat TVs are no longer expensive. Dinner buffet was PHP 450 per person, simple, nothing special but good enough. They have a choice of plain rice or vegetable rice, oysters, chicken sotanghon soup, vegetable salad, shrimps, chicken inasal, pork barbecue, beef caldereta, steamed fish, pasta, gelatin, fruit salad, lumpia (not crispy) and unlimited iced tea. Buffet breakfast is part of the room rate. Breakfast daily is almost the same with a little variation. They served garlic fried rice, sausage, scrambled eggs, chicken adobo, sardines, French toasts, bacon, corned beef, congee, hard boiled eggs, fried potatoes, cereals, assorted bread, butter, cheese, water melon, papaya, banana, pineapple and orange juice. There are a few times that you see flies flying around the buffet and breakfast tables. Overall, Le Soleil is a good hotel due to their hardworking staff and clean rooms.

Nice Stay
From the moment we arrived the staff were extremely helpful, courteous and very friendly. We immediately felt at home and upon arrival we were upgraded to a poolside / superior room. The room was reasonably nice although the decor and exterior / pool area was a little bit dated.. My only complaint was I found the bed a little uncomfortable / hard and didn't get a particularly good nights sleep during our 5 days. The breafast buffet was reasonable and the service was excellent. The location is great and we didn't have to venture too far to find some nice entertainment in the evening. Overall we both had a very relaxing stay and would definatley recommend to friends.
Consigliatissimo!!!
Good hotel.
First I like to say thank you to the management and staff at La Solei for letting us change dates for our stay even though we booked rooms true Agoda and made the mistake to book the stay in the wrong month. Very nice way to treat our 'little' mistake. The hotel itself is very well situated, near by the sea. Everything is clean and the hotel is well maintained and staff are very polite and helpful. The Breakfast is a bit Boring. Dinner buffet is better. The pool is very nice and relaxed set in a small garden. You like to have a room near the pool. 25 meters from the hotel to the pool If I go back to Boracay. I like to stay here again.
Perfect Place
Le Soleil de Boracay is an elegant haven on a tropical beach setting. The resort is located in Station 2 and is near the D Mall. You will not worry walking long distances to look for food or other stuff that you need. Our accommodation also includes free breakfast. It's a combination of Filipino and American food. Le Soleil de Boracay offers everything you need for your perfect getaway.
Gelegentlich sieht man landende Maschinen. Balkon. Was ich anfangs vermisst habe, waren Kosmetiktücher. Angeboten werden außerdem u. a.
Perfecto for my budget
Initially when i booked it was half of the price of what i paid for real when i arrived but its ok coz it was a last minute booking. So basically u ll get a welcome drink with nice ushering and they will put some shell garland to welcome you).. Hotel wise nothing much to complaint except the shower pressure is too bad and i complained eventually and the plumber came but he said cant do much as its been built that day. Cleanliness wise is fair not so good not so bad. Beach front was good as its right at the hot spots and near to all shops. D'mall is so near to this place. I like the guard which looks after ur belongings while ur swimming in the sea as i left my iphone 6plus and some cash in a transparent water proof bag on the bench and nth went wrong as he was honest and polite even prepared for me umbrella to shade. Staffs... i would say perfect. even if ur having a bad day they can actually give you positive effect coz they are so friendly and nice and helpful. That has nothing to worry. Just talk with them. Food... hmmm not so up to my expectations they had luncheon meat, omlette, rice and sausages and breads were not so fresh but for a quickie bfast its ok. The serve almost the same thing everyday. The management can improve by making more varieties and keeping the food fresh and clean. safety wise is good. no issues. I highly recommend this place. Good over all. thank you for the wonderful stay. God bless.
A Pleasant Surprise in Boracay
I travel to Boracay once or twice a year and have been regularly staying in another hotel in Station 1 for some time. This most recent visit however was the first time I was traveling to the beautiful sands of Boracay alone so I wanted to stay in a hotel that was conveniently located as well as had all the amenities that would make my stay extremely relaxing and comfortable. I took a chance on Le Soleil and I must say that I was most pleasantly surprised. First of all, the land and sea transfers arranged by the hotel were very good and punctual. The level of attention that their transfer coordinator accorded to their guests really impressed me. Unfortunately, I couldn't recall his name but he was very attentive and polite. I had to leave the hotel at 4:20 AM for my early flight back to Manila but everything was arranged properly and I never feared for my safety given that I was traveling alone. As for my stay in the hotel itself, it was truly positive. I arrived in Boracay at 7 AM and didn't have to wait for the regular check in time at 2 PM to enjoy the comforts of my hotel room to properly start my adventure. Another thing to rave about Le Soleil is how they cater to their guests' requests. I messaged the hotel prior to my arrival and requested that I wanted stay in a room on the opposite side of the bar next door (Summer Place). I didn't want to be bothered by the blaring noise and hoped that they would look into my plea. The hotel not only accommodated my request but also upgraded my reserved Deluxe Room to a Junior Suite cost free! It was such a pleasant treat! The four days in the hotel continued to be pleasant and truly relaxing. And as for the staff, all of the ones I encountered were very cheerful and ready to help even with the smallest details. From the reception, housekeeping, restaurant and the security staff at the beachfront, all were just a joy to be around and contributed to a wonderful stay in Le Soleil. To sum it up, it was such a memorable trip and I would definitely come back whether with friends or family or even if I go back by myself.
Overall good stay
Stayed in a Superior Deluxe room for 5days / 4 nights. Overall the stay was good. I was quite pleased with the overall experience. I would rate it a 7 out of 10. Pros: . Staff is great! Super friendly and helpful. The waiters (Leonard very helpful), the security guards, the boys in charge of the towels. All very friendly and accommodating. . Early check in made my vacation start perfect. Arrived super early (8:30am) and was already allowed to check-in (around 9am). Superb Service!!! It made all the difference! . Late Check-out. Allowed us to leave at 1:00pm. Thanks again! . Swimming pool area is nice. Good chairs and nice bar area. There is even an area for some massage if you like (500 php per hour. Outside massage at the beach is 350php but at the hotel is a lot more professional). . The hotel is super clean. They are always cleaning something and keeping in a good shape. Nicely maintained. . Housekeeping is very good. Kept the room clean and provided everything we asked for. . Location is just great. Near everything. Cons: . The BED WAS AWFUL! Really a big issue here. Very hard and I could even feel the springs!!! I usually don't bother about the bed so much, but this time I couldn't help it. It was really an issue. I love to sleep in when on vacation, but for the first time in my whole life I woke up at 7am and didn't want to stay in bed! The bright side of it is that I stayed longer at the beach and enjoyed more of the day. But if you want to sleep in please take this into account. The bed is really bad. Not comfortable at all. . Extremely noisy air conditioner. The old style aircon worked fine (not too powerful but it kept the room cool), but it was very very noisy. They claim the superior deluxe is a renovated room, but other cheaper rooms have the SPLIT kind of aircon while this room has the old noisy one. . Old style tube TV. Other rooms have LCD type. Again, renovated rooms with old TVs? Quite ok if you are not there to watch TV and only spend the day and night out anyways. . Breakfast was a huge disappointment. I had already read in other reviews so I wasn't expecting much. In the Philippines most places have awful breakfast so I wasn't very hopeful, but it would have been great if the reviews were wrong and they had improved a little the breakfast. They didn't. One day I even asked for 1 banana and they said there would be a charge. I was tired of having only watermelon, pineapple and papaya for 4 days! They could at least change the fruits a little. Not even one day of Mango?? We are in the Philippines it would be great if they could serve mangoes at least once! . Gym needs renovation. Some equipment were not working properly and the treadmill was completely out of service. . Lobby area has a weird smell all the time and always hot (ventilation not so good near the reception area). They should make the lobby area more comfortable. It doesn't give you a first good impression of the place. . Shower has low pressure and easily gets flooded because the glass is too small and there is nothing to avoid the water to go out were the toilet is. . Sun chairs at the beachfront are very uncomfortable. They should update that with some chairs like the ones they have at the pool area. Most hotels have nice sunbeds, but le soleil is one of the hotels with the more uncomfortable chairs. It's a plastic chair with no pillow and does not recline. So you have to stay in one position only. Even cheaper hotels have nicer sunbeds. An update would be great. As I said before, the overall experience was good. I chose this place because of its location, proximity to beach and other restaurants and the nice pool area. I also wanted a hotel with a GYM but ended up not using it because didn't like the gym, so just exercised outside at the beach.
We stayed here for 3 nights
Very helpfull and friendly personnel. The breakfast buffet was sumptious and delicious. The room was clean and had all the facilities to enjoy our stay. We could step out of our hotel on the breach which was not crowded (we were there end of January}. Also for lunch or dinner, there were a lot of facilities. If we return to Boracay, I definetely will stay again in Le Soleil de Boracay!
Great time
We had a great 5 days. The staffs are very accomodating and ready to assist us. There are concerns I want to state: (1) the pool's floor is only cemented. They should change it to tiles because there are areas with sharp edges. It should be child-friendly. I got hurt when we went for a dip. (2) the hotel must innovate different kinds of breakfast. We stayed there for 4 days and the entries mostly was not changed. They only change the main " ulam " but not the others.
Great Location
My wife and I stayed here for 7 nights in March 2014. The hotel is right on the beach and a short walk to D'Mall. The rooms are clean, the food is good and the staff are very polite, Desiree at the front desk was particularly helpful. Breakfast in included and there is a good choice of local and western food, eggs to order are also available. We also ate at the buffet on a few nights and enjoyed the selection of food, the price was also reasonable. The rooms have a safe deposit box and everything worked. The hotel has a pool that has a shallow and deeper part so it's quite suitable for younger children provided parents are keeping an eye on them. In my opinion the price for the rooms was quite reasonable considering Boracay is more expensive than some other places in the Philippines.
Friendly Staff, good service
Staffs are very friendly and accommodating. Good Amenities, free wifi at the hotel lobby, delicious breakfast. Room service are excellent, lightning is good, quiet and peaceful ambiance. Affordable and you will definitely enjoy your stay here.
Helpful staff, spot-on location
The team at Le Soleil made my first trip to Boracay a memorable one. After a slight mix-up with the room reserved, my cousin and I were moved to a fantastic poolside room. The breakfast selection was varied and generous, the room was impeccably clean, and towels, toiletries etc were constantly replenished. Complimentary beach towels smelt fresh, and the staff were always on hand to help on the beach - with no tip expected! Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed.
standard 3* hotel in great location
Location - great because everything around the hotel: the beach - 5 m, big shopping area 2 min walk, night club - next building, main promenade - just in front of hotel. Hotel - ordinary standard hotel building, standard room, clean, everything works Breakfast - boring, I was not hungry, but I didn't enjoy it. Staff - great Room (214) - quiet, nice pool view. There are development in progress on next site, but there was not any noise from there.
A gem, great hotel!
Le Soleil is clean, comfortable hotel with excellent & friendly staff. It sits right smack in the center of the island; has a quiet restaurant in the front (no loud bars) which serves good filipino and continental food. Hotel is low key and family oriented. Hotel furnishings were satisfactory, nice comfortable beds and clean showers and bathrooms. It's still a fairly new hotel and well maintained. The pool is not very big. Most rooms do not have ocean views since the rooms are tucked in, not facing the busy main " walk ", which is a plus in Boracay.
It is great with its own internet Wifi signal in and up to the beachside
Clean and nice rooms, a pool plus a bar and gym and lots of exciting events in the beach. An aircon cafe an option for us to cool during afternoon sun. Internet access via WiFi in and out of the building up to the beachside. Here are their email address lesoleil@smartnet. ph and lesoleil@pjlhuillier.com website www.lesoleil.com. ph.
Prepare to be blown out by sheer incompetence
Good location, sure. It's at the center of Boracay. But there is also a serious downside for this. Even if you are very tired from a whole day's activity, you are helpless from the blare from the music outside, and even from the hotel's own bar. So if you want a restful night's sleep even just for a night, you can't get it from this hotel. Other observations why I gave a Terrible review: 1) Hotel staff are not the most helpful around. The front desk staff are nonchalant. No extra mile stuff for these people. You booked, you pay, and that's it. You will also notice that there's A LOT of staff just idly standing in one corner doing nothing. In more than a few occasions, the staff didn't notice me whilst I was raising my hand -- and I was the only one in the whole restaurant area! 2) The food always comes out so delayed, so late. 3) The internet is ONLY available in the lobby and restaurant. NO INTERNET IN YOUR ROOM! 4) The hallways are so close to each other and there's something about the walls that noise easily come in. You can hear stuff from your neighbor. Not the best way to enjoy the holiday. 5) Breakfast buffet is so-so. Nothing special. It's insulting even, how they offer these typical, unappetizing choices for buffet. To summarize, prepare to be blown out by sheer incompetence. Their location is an asset, but it's also got a downside. Other than that, from the food to the service to the hotel layout, this place is simply terrible.
Trevlig men liten pool.
Gold for location... Bronze for service
We stayed in Boracay at its peak... yes, the holy week season where the influx of tourists both international and domestic were at its highest rate. True, Boracay is the place to see and the place to be seen during the summer season. Le Soleil is smack right where the action is. They have a good beach front. A security guard stands by there to assist the in house guests. Their staff are all friendly and will help you. We got two rooms, the premier room for my 4 active young adults and teenagers and the superior deluxe for my husband and I. Verdict... the premier room is better. It is more lighted and the interiors are better unlike the superior de luxe where I had to remove the cover shade of the bedside lamp so that I could read better. True, the superior de luxe, although situated on the 3rd floor looked like a dungeon. Breakfast is generally ok. Nothing outstanding... good enough to fill your stomach... I have some minor criticisms though which should be really considered by the management...1. Please have your vehicle undergo maintenance check up especially the airconditioning. We availed of their roundtrip transfer and the aircon in their van was not that cold considering it was a Nissan Urvan. Their driver was really friendly and helpful... an applause for you sir!!! 2. My daughter, who also works in a hotel had a conversation with the front desk officer... she wanted to extend our stay in boracay, so, she asked the front desk if we could extend our stay for one night, unfortunately, le soleil was fully booked and one superior de luxe room was only available and it could not accommodate us 6... so she then asked... " Would you be kind enough to recommend another hotel for our extended stay? " The front desk agent answered... " You can try ma'am the Boracay Mandarin Island.... lakarin niyo na lang po at tanungin sila... " What is wrong in this conversation? In the hotel bible... this is a NO NO! Since we are guests of the hotel.. the front desk agent should really go out of her way to help us... so, what should she do? She should at least have called the Boracay Mandarin Island just to check if there are still rooms available for us ^ instead of letting us walk and inquire at Boracay Mandarin by ourselves. This is what the Boracay Regency did. My daughter went there to inquire unfortunately, they were also fully booked but here lies the difference... they called up the Boracay Garden Hotel and asked... that is why we ended up at Boracay Garden. 3. Another conversation with the concierge.... " Sir ano po yung mga water activities na pwede naming gawin? " " Ma'am diyan po sa labas maraming mga nagooffer ng water activities... paglabas lang po.. makikita niyo na sila "...... A BIG OH NO!!!! Paging the human resource department of Le Soleil.... kindly give a training seminar to your front office employees since they are the upfront faces of the hotel. But despite of these minor glitches.... we will still come back because of their friendly smiles and best LOCATION!!!!!
NICE LOCATION, FRIENDLY STAFF, CLEAN ROOMS
Going to boracay and looking for a good location and in a budget? This is what you are looking for! Le Soliel de boracay is in the heart of the beach and located in station2, its in the beach front, has its own swimming pool, restaurant and offer a buffet dinner during night for a good price, rooms are clean and staff are very friendly greeted you with a smile. you can request for early check in, if rooms are available. TIPS inside the HOTEL: don't bring anything for personal use.. because they give a complimentary like toothbrush, toothpaste, body lotion, shampoo, beachtowel, bathtowel, safety box, hot water pot with coffee mix and tea, hair dryer and you can ask anytime for refill if you are running out of it. Breakfast food and beverage are great too.. there are no muslim vendor allowed in their area specially in the beach front. (guarded by lifeguard) lastly, there is no additional fee if you want your room be arrange and clean up everyday. Sleep Well and relax well. TIPS for adventure and sightseeing: don't ask the hotel for any adventure you want but rather talk directly to the agent outside the hotel and then ask for big discount on what it was written in their brochure & advertisement and start to bargain. Adventures are: ISLAND HOPPING, SNORKEL, FISH FEEDING and BAT CAVE island visit (all in one package and you can tour and drop by in any beach (ex. PUKA beach, BULABOG beach, etc..) all over boracay, This island hopping lasted for 4-5 hrs.), PARAW HOPPING, BANANA BOAT RIDING, MT. LUHO HIKING or with the use of ATV bike (for panoramic view of boracay). Try to experience all of this and definitely you will not regret, it's very enjoyable and fun. TIPS for RESTAURANT: There are many restaurant near in Dmall (Sta.2) and its very affordable and try also in D'talipapa market (Sta.2) they offer a wide variety of live seafoods and they are ready to cook for you, though this market located behind and a bit far from Dmall but it's cheap compare to other seafood restaurant situated in beach front. TIPS ON HOW TO GET TO BORACAY, (probably this is the most important). From caticlan airport, (outside and nearby arrival area there is a ticket booth) get a ticket for tricycle ride (50pesos / tricycle and 25pesos / adult for boat ride, kids are free below 10y. o.) going to caticlan jetty port (they issue both ticket including the boat ride ticket) it takes only 5 mins from caticlan airport to jetty port terminal and by there pay a port terminal fee of (50 pesos / adult, kids below 10y. o. are free) and directly go to the back where the boats are (it takes only 5-8 mins going to boracay island) and arriving in boracay island take a tricycle (100pesos / tricycle) again going to your hotel, NOTE: fare stated here in tricycle, are intended for 1 tricycle not per person. Standard fare is only 20 pesos / person for tricycle fare going anywhere in boracay island. Hope this info can help you a lot going to boracay.
Medium-rare chicken, Pounding noise, and asthma attack!
Stayed here from March 24 to 25 and I am writing this review using my cellphone while waiting for my flight back to Manila in the Caticlan airport! All I can say is it was a good stay after 18 years from my first trip to Boracay. The island was different then and I was really excited to stay in this hotel! Well the whole hotel is okay. Facilities are clean and modern. The location is very near shopping places like D'Mall and the many bars and pubs famous in the place. The barbecue dinner buffet is really nice but be sure to be ahead of everyone since the staff is not that fast replenishing it. The barbecue station person is scrambling to finish all the orders but it was worth the wait! The Kebabs are really to die for! Lunch buffet was really bad. In my last day we had fish in ala carbonara sauce. Fish was like rubber! We also had fried chicken but it was not fried enough, it has blood everywhere! The hotel is also rushing to do the finishing touches of a new wing. I stayed in Room 118 which is the nearest room to the development and I swear it was like pounding, grinding and dust everywhere! Until 930 pm! I almost had asthma while i do some swimming in the pool. Another imrovement that the hotel needs to do is to regularly clean the beachfront directly in front of the lobby. As I go towards the airport saw the other resorts with really clean sand! Over all it was nice but will probably stay in another hotel next time.
An Awful Experience in a Beautiful Island
The summary of my worst hotel / resort stay in my 7 years of business travelling around the globe: 1) The resort is a 10 minutes walk from the nearest road and there was no potter to carry my luggage (0f 15kg) on arrival. Hence I got to carry my heavy bag as I can't drag them on sand. 2) The room is out-dated, lack of maintenance and old. Their so-called premium deluxe room is at the extreme end of the facility. It has got no balcony, but just a window which cannot be opened. All you see is the back retaining wall which is just 2 feet away from your window. 3) The room is full of mosquitoes. 4) Internet connection is close to non-existence. Certainly no in-room internet connection. The so called free wifi internet at the lobby is either weak or cannot be connected. 5) The basic coffee / tea making facility and 2 bottles of drinking water which is part of the booking was not given. I got to request everyday for them to deliver it. 6) No ironing board and iron in the room. Instead, i got to pay them to iron my shirts. 7) The breakfast selection is pathetic. The only plus point is the location which is in the middle of action.
Couple - 7 night stay - October 2013
On the positive side, the location of this hotel is near the middle of the beach where they have chairs for the Hotel guests to use. The rooms were a decent size and relatively clean. This was the only positive for us. The hotel is located right next to a night club that blasts out thumping music from 11pm to 5am. This is great for those who don't wish to sleep at all during the night, but for the rest of us, it is a nightmare. The only reason I stayed so many nights is I already prepaid a 7 night stay. They moved my room further away from the all night thumping of the disco, but even at the fatheset end I could still hear a fair bit of music during the night. Wifi is only available in the lobby. The breakfast is seriously not worth the money.. at all. The pool also sucks. I didn't get in once, instead preferring to just swim in the beach. There is ongoing construction at the hotel also, and I had the joy of inhaling toxic fumes every time I made my way to my room... of course the banging of the construction stopped in the evening to be followed shortly by the massive thumping of the all night disco. I cannot recommend the hotel at all. I would recommedn instead the Boracay Garden Hotel where a friend of mine stayed - lucky guy, or the Regency - if you want to be in Station 2. If I go back, I would probably go for something in Station 1 or 3 where its a bit more quiet and the proces a bit more reasonable.
Nice little hotel... Close to everything
Great stay for the family... Close to everything including Dmall... Stayed in family room with loft.. Pool was clean and the kids loved the waterfall.... Clean and tidy thanks for the lovely hospitality... Staff are great! Will stay here again... And maybe upgrade to a presidential suite!!
Just a sleeping place where you can't fall asleep
[It's just a sleeping place] After my wife and I had checked into this hotel, she started complaining about everything of the room, small room and space. And I tried to coax her: let's not expect too much. It's Station 2, good location, close to D'Mall, and besides it's just a sleeping place. It's just a sleeping place. That's how we persuaded ourselves into everything whenever the hotel frustrated us: - The water coming off the tap and sprinkler was not stable, it almost trickled out. The water pressure could change abruptly three times throughout a brief shower. - The air-con reminded us of itself every minute it's on. - The only bed in the room gave a creaking sound with every turn I made. [But you can't fall asleep there] We thought we could handle it until we found out that the " no loud music after 12 o'clock midnight " rule never worked. The bass from the sub-woofer continued into morning. Nobody took that rule seriously. The loud music wasn't music at all; it's just some booming sound. It's tasteless like a mango shake without mangoes. [The hotel and staff just didn't care] We said hello at the reception two days in advance of our check-in, asking for a quiet room, and we were told the room was in the pool area and was not noisy. Only when I started to struggle in bed did I find out that our room was the closest to the beach despite the arrangement we made earlier. At 2 o'clock in the morning I dashed to the front desk to complain and check if I could move to a quieter room. The receptionist asked my room number and never followed up. They sort of gave you a feeling " we're sitting on a gold mine, so we don't need to worry. " [We gave up our last night to escape that place] I don't want to use phrases like " ruined my holiday, " " worst ever " and " disappointed " to express my feeling. But I want to state the fact that although we had paid in full for four nights we gave up our last night to escape that place before we went mad. [Some suggestions to those who want a good location anyway] This hotel might be a perfect fit for you if you shift your schedule this way: 08:00 PM You walk onto the beach to grab something to eat 10:00 PM You get out of the eatery and drop into a loud bar to get a drink 01:00 AM You get out of the bar, drop into another and get another drink 06:00 AM You go back to the hotel. It's still early, and it happens to be the time they starts serving breakfast, so you grab something 08:00 AM Time to go to bed. Have some really good sleep until 8:00 in the evening.
" it is dirty and room is not ready "
We stayed in Le soliel With my fiance las April 2004. Before we go there It was already paid. What we need by that time was a place were we can cook our own food, so they give us a place near the talipapa (Small Market Place). They said that it was so close from the beach.. and you can just walk to the beach. but the truth was you still have to ride with the Motorcycle and u have still have to pay (50pesos) for the fare in order for you to reach the sea side.. When we arrive at the place, The place was so dirty, the REF Smell bad, and The place was so Loud because its close to talipapa (and there's a lot of vehicle passing).. SO we complain to there other office near the seaside.. Guess what?We go back and Forth and we have to ride the motorcycle again in order to go to there place. and when we go there they let us Stay there just for one night and they still let us pay the other Room (near Talipapa)... Imagine Where Paying 2 room For 1 night because of what happend.. it seems like there putting the blame on us.. But the truth was its there fault because they dont clean the place and it really smell bad even the ref.. I cant recomend this place to you guys.. you better becareful in choosing a place to stay.. We go there in boracay to relax and feel comfortable right.. SO you better becareful.. ok.. GOD BLESS..
Good location, service and price
Its a pretty decent hotel with great location, service @ a cheap price. Location Like most hotels in Boracay, this hotel is right in front of the beach. Its at the main street in Boracay along with the other hotels, restaurants, and bars. Its on Station 2 so its not considered close to the 'grotto' but its really only a 15-minute leisurely walk on the beach. Service They provide a shuttle pick-up from the boat terminal and back. A guy was waiting for us at the entrance to Boracay to take our bags and escort us to the hotel. The staff was pretty nice. They watched our bags while we were swimming on the beach. I think service in general was good. Amenities The room we got had view of the pool. The room was neither big nor small. The bathroom was decent. The only real problem was that the water pressure in the shower was really low and it made showering difficult. We called to complain and they were apologetic and claimed it was due to the recent rains (the Philippines was hit by a lot of typhoons that year) that damaged their pipes. It would have been nice to get some recompense for it. I would think that this is no longer an issue though, so I'm not giving them a poor review. I would have actually given them a higher score if not for the water pressure issue.
Warning!! This place is a dump
WARNING!!! This place is currently under major renovation. The Manila office is calling this minor renovation, but the pool area is unusable due to the noise. The restaurant is also not open due to the work. This may possibly be the worst place i have ever stayed. Even without all the work, this place is one of the worst deals on the island.
Best value for money hotel in Boracay
It's my last day of stay today here at this hotel as I write this review and I wish I wasn't leaving! I've stayed here twice and the hotel hasn't deteriorated at all- very well maintained. The rate is very competitive given that the place is conveniently located at the central part and the accommodation itself is super comfy and clean! The buffet is affordable and superb ;) resto staff are the friendliest! This hotel is my home here in Boracay :)
Very disappointed!
I am extremely disappointed. For that price i expected a much better experience. 1) i got a room nearby the reception / restaurant. I got so much noise from both at anytime during the day AND the night. The hotel should make sure to offer a relaxing environment for the guests. 2) I got a lot of noise from the night club / bar too until very late. The walls were shaking !!! 3) 3 of my female friends wanted to stop by my room to use the bathroom few minutes. The hotel staff was tracking them as they would have been prostitutes and asked them to leave the hotel immediately. I know that there is a guest policy but it is not the kind of reaction a customer should experience at 8.30pm with clearly foreign tourist females! The hotel by itself is not too bad but you can find a much better one around with a more relaxing environment and a better customer service for a cheaper price. I will not come back to this one for sure.
Central location right on the beach but poor rooms and shocking service
Booked this hotel despite misgivings from reading mixed reviews on Trip Advisor as it was the best I could find during a busy period. Paid around USD 150 / night for a " deluxe " room. Don't bring much luggage if you stay here because the taxis from the jetty can only get within 5 minutes walk of Le Soleil. You have to carry your own bags along the beach path which is the case with a lot of White Beach hotels. Service for check-in at the reception desk was shocking. The receptionist claimed to have no record of my reservation which I'd made on Expedia 2 days earlier. She kept insisting on a 'voucher' from Expedia and wouldn't except the email confirmation I repeatedly offered to email to her! This seemed a constant theme with Filipino hotels and Expedia bookings: the hotels have an obsession unlike anywhere else I've travelled with printed, not emailed confirmations... Eventually, after around 30 minutes, the receptionist found my reservation but told me they had sold out of the 'deluxe' room type I'd booked. I was made to feel that this was my fault, not theirs! She reluctantly agreed to transfer me into a " super-deluxe " room. Several more minutes of confusion followed and she then told me that the previous guest had only just checked out of the room I'd been allocated but the room would be available in an hour once it had been cleaned. I though this was fair enough I'd arrived at 11.30am after an early start and check-in wasn't officially 'til 2pm. I returned an hour later as instructed and was told to take a seat. One and a half hours later, 3 hours after arriving at the hotel, I was finally shown to my room. If the room I had been allocated was " super-deluxe " then I very strongly advise against staying in a standard or a " deluxe " room!! It was right at the back of the building, facing a wall, very dark with no balcony. The shower room was tiny. No internet connection of any type. No comfy chair. A connecting door to the next room which didn't fit properly - you could see clearly if next door had a light on and I could hear every word of the conversations the American couple next door unless I kept the TV turned up loud... The hotel's best feature is without doubt its very central location right in the heart of everything you could want in White Beach. It has its own sun loungers on the beach but you have to bring the beach towels which are supplied in the bedrooms (and then take them back and try to dry them for the next day whilst not leave sand all over your room). You can order drinks on the beach but they do not serve food during the day which seemed strange as they serve food there at night. Breakfast was OK but very busy and the menu was definitely Filipino, not international, despite a very mixed range of guests. There is free wifi in the hotel lobby. Didn't try the pool but it looked clean although it doesn't seem to get much sun as its surrounded by the hotel buildings.
Good hotel at the centre of the action
Overall, for the price this is a good accommodation option in the heart of the beach strip. From the outside this is not the best looking hotel on the strip. but it makes up for this with its friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Staff were really helpful. We stayed over Christmas and had a good time. Our room was pretty old and tired and was in need of an update. However other rooms at the hotel looked recently done up. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable with good aircon. We had a room towards the back of the property. Some of the rooms nearer the front may be more noisy. The pool didn't look particularly inviting but with the beach on the doorstep we didn't need to use it anyway. The Gym is surprisingly well equipped for a hotel gym: Smith machine with decent number of plates, dumbells, barbells running machine etc. A few suggestions: 1. hotel should invest in some better beach furniture. The plastic loungers are really uncomfortable to lie on. 2. Better aircon in the gym. 3. Some rooms needs an upgrade.
Beachfront and a little bit pricey
Location wise, this is one of the best, beachfront and near to D'Mall. The hotel is quite old but the room is neat and clean. A little bit pricey as there are some other hotels near to it having a cheaper price with almost the same services and amenities. There buffet breakfast is superbly delicious.
Beachfront but..
This was our 2nd stay in this hotel. We loved it so much the first time that we decided to come back 3 years later. Staff was excellent - very helpful & quick to respond to any requests. Servers at buffet could use some training good customer service & sanitation. During our stay, the plumbing kept refluxing to the shower drain. Another day, when we came back to the room it reeked of sewer. Housekeeping & maintenance did everything they can but the hotel was just equipped with bad, cheap plumbing. Our first stay was in 117 by the pool which was perfect. This time, they placed us originally in 315 of the new bldg which was like a dungeon at the back of the hotel. After complaining, the staff was kind enough to move us to 119 for a small, nightly fee. They did warn us it would be noisy & said that was ok. Music from neighboring bars / hotels played until 4-5am. KC & Faith were very helpful & considerate. Leo from housekeeping did a marvelous job with our mess! Breakfast buffet is included with our stay. Servers Only acknowledge you based on their moods. The buffet table is filled with a variety of pastries where flies crawl. Placemats on the table where flatwares are placed, are not replaced or cleaned between customers - therefore, flies just land there too. Clean rooms & wonderful hotel staff (excluding restaurant) ; but all the sanitary issues in public areas of the hotel still makes me question the rest of their policies about cleanliness.
Great choice for Boracay
Just came back from 9 nights here with my brother and we had an excellent stay. Thanks to all the staff, in particular HK manager Luella, and Grace, Kase and Jen from the reception. I agree with all the recent reviews, there were a few small issues (noisy aircon, uncomfortable sunbeds etc) which I brought up with the management, but nothing which spoiled our holiday. Big plusses were the location, right on the beachfront in the heart of the action, and the exceptionally friendly staff. The fresh fruit shakes for 80 pesos were always a great way to start the day and the rest of the food in general was tasty and good value. The steak for 300 pesos was easily the best meal I had in Boracay, especially for that price. Having seen the location and price of many other far more expensive hotels on Boracay I think we made a good choice. The room cleaner also kept our room extremely clean. If the management can implement some of my recommendations this could be an unbeatable hotel!
much too expensive
I stayed with my friend (gay couple 65 / 55 y / o) for 5 nights at this hotel (mid-November 2006). The good thing first: Staff is very friendly and helpful. But: We booked a so called " super de Luxe " room which was in fact much below a standard room in a 3-star hotel. Small and no view at all (o. k. the room was clean). Immediately after checking in we changed to a so called junior suite (USD 180.- per night !!!!!). Forget it. Also small, only the bathroom was more or less aceptable. And: again no view at all (window facing an other part of the building 2 meters away). The hotel has NO ocean view rooms. Food: Forget the evening buffet at the beach. Poor selection. We came at 7:30 p. m. More then the half was already eaten. Go to the restaurant just beside (on the left when you leave the hotel). Good food. Big selection. And acceptable the price. Other advantage: Private beach directly in front of the hotel with own easy chairs (few), guard and waiter service. Advice: If you're willing to pay what Le Soleil asks, you'd better go to the nearby Regency (I stayed there last year, but this year unfortunately it was already fully booked) or check the newly opened Mandarin or Peninsula besides. Over all: Friendly staff, too expensive, poor rooms... never again. Any questions? nero. zeus@gmx. net
Salt on your skin
Very clean and quiet rooms. Ideal location.. midway between 'd'mall' and 'd'talipapa'. Breakfast is okay but somehow limited. Staff were very helpful. Only problem during stay was tap water.. there was almost none. Was informed that the hotel's water valve needs to be replaced. For the three days we stayed, only was able to use the shower in our room once... before checking out. We'll there's the ocean anyways...
Excellent Hotel, Highly Recommend
I had an early flight from Manila and arrived at the hotel around 0830am and checked in with no problems. The room was clean, clean towels, clean linens, hot shower. The hotel was central to the beach and all the shops and restaurants. They provided free breakfast coupons but only ate there once. It was a basic breafast buffet line, nothing fancy but I was satisfied. The hotel staff were very friendly and always greeted you with a smile which made the stay even more comfortable. Advice for first timers to the Philippines. Make sure you stop at the ATM at the Manila airport because you will need cash for the terminal fee at Caticlan, terminal fee at the boat port, ticket for the boat, and taxi fares in between, and the guys who carry your bags constantly begging for tips. Also beach vendors constantly trying to sell sunglasses, watches, and beach tours are a little annoying but not enough to spoil your vacation. Definitely will be back to Boracay and definitely will return to Le Soleil de Boracay. Enjoy your vacation!
comfortable and friendly place
Le Soleil combines a practical, comfortable stay with a touch of charm you would find in a boutique hotel. We stayed in the Superior Deluxe room which was compact but had all the creature comforts of a four star hotel. There was a stereo system and satellite TV with plenty of English channels, a balcony overlooking the pool, an electronic safe and decent cupboard space. The room and bathroom were very clean and the shower was soft and continuously hot. The furniture and fittings of the room are tasteful and made it feel cosy. Staff were very friendly and service outstanding. Buffet breakfast was tasty but a little limited. Perhaps the one thing letting it down was that it wasn't overlooking the sea and lacked the tropical atmosphere you would find in bungalow style accommodation. Boracay is a beautiful and happening island and this hotel provides the comfort, service and location to get the most out of your stay.
Great for first time to Borocay
I stayed here with my mom in January 2012. The location is great - right on the main path that runs along the beach, and our lounge chairs were 30 feet from the hotel entrance. We stayed in a room on the second floor that had a double bed on the first level with a second-level loft that had two twin beds (where I slept). A / C worked well up there! Had a great little balcony to smoke on and view of the pool. Speaking of the pool, it was quite refreshing and had a nice bar and cabanas to chill out in. Wifi is in the hotel lobby only, but that seems par the course in Southeast Asia. The grounds were well maintained and beautiful. I felt safe and the staff was great. The breakfast was also buffet and very good! I would say the standard was comparable to a nice Western resort hotel. I would probably recommend this for families and couples. There were kids around (but not too many). I wandered around the alleys of Borocay a little ways back from the beach and noticed that's where the cheaper guesthouses and hostels are located If you're looking to party, stay at one of those. ;) I would totally stay here again :)
disappointing
this is my second time to stay in this hotel. i was happy the first time i stayed here but now, i was disappointed. when we entered our room, there were at least 3 big flies flyong around our room. i had room service, the burger had a strange taste, so we decided not to eat it. i complained but i think they did not care to listen to my complaint coz i never had an apology from the management. the pool had too much chlorine. you can't open your eyes when you swim. the only thing that was maintained was the dinner buffet. it was still good and worth it. the staff were still friendly.
Very disappointed
I booked this hotel having seen the great reviews on Trip Advisor. However we did not have the best of experiences. The positive:- The staff are excellent. They are friendly and polite and their service is great. The location could be seen as positive if you like to be in the centre of a place. It is also right on the beach. The television has a huge selection of channels. The negative:- The room we stayed in was described as 'deluxe'. Now, to me, deluxe means luxury - a grade above the rest. However, the room we were given was certainly not luxurious and one of the poorest in the hotel. It was very dark with a small window to a kind of shaft, the room was very damp with the base of the walls feeling wet. It smelt strongly of mildew when the oils they burnt (no doubt to mask the smell) had finished. The air-con was noisy and rattled and dripped lots of water all over the table. The mattress was old as it was uncomfortable as metal could be felt digging into our backs. The noise was disturbing as until 2 am plus, there was a boom boom boom from the disco next door. As mentioned, the hotel was next to a disco and for those that love this kind of thing, great. I took a hike at 2 am as I couldn't sleep and it was full of drunk / drugged young people, plus there were lots of prostitutes outside trying to catch a fish. This is not a place for kids, families or elder guests. The swimming pool was ok, but needed repainting. The breakfast was adequate, but the choices were limited, rather unhealthy and there were ants all over the jam. As a result of seeing the quality of their breakfast offering, I never bothered with their evening buffet dinner. The hotel is not cheap. We paid more than 120 US$ a night for our dungeon like room. The front of the hotel is like a motorway of people. It was holiday season, and way too overcrowded. This part of Borocay is not the hoped for idyllic getaway. There are some lovely places in Boracay and we will return next year as the beaches and water are fabulous, but we will not be staying here, rather we will stay further on, towards Nimas, or West Cove, or Baling Hai. Better value, more relaxed and really pristine water and beach.
Great location, great resort - with excellent staff!
I love le soleil's staff - everybody from the guards, to the drivers, the guys who picked us up at the airport, the waiters, the people at the reception, the guys who watch over us at the beach - everybody was courteous and friendly. Customer service is excellent! I've been to boracay 5 times now and there are resorts with better rooms or facilities but I must say, the staff at le soleil stands out! We arrived at the airport very early, around 6 am. Their representative was there to greet and us and help us to transfer to the boat taking us to boracay island. Their driver met us there and brought us to the resort. I called the day before we got there and the staff at the reception allowed us to check in early (730 am, usual check in time is 2 PM). They said that as long as the room we were staying at is unoccupied, we can check in early. This was a big help to us because we haven't had much sleep, having to wake up at 2 AM to get to the airport on time. The waiters are very attentive, refilling glasses and catering to our requests promptly. The housekeeping staff is also excellent. We left our room after putting out the make up room sign, and after an hour i had to get something from the room - it was made up and clean already! I am thankful also to their staff who stay and watch over the guests at their area of the beach. We can leave our bags on the loungers without worrying that we'd lose it. All the staff you pass by would greet you good morning or good day, etc. At the time we were there, it rained on the first day and the reception desk had umbrellas ready for their guests. The resort is quaint, with a homey feel to it. We stayed at a superior room with a small verandah overlooking the pool. Though it was a good location, it could get noisy depending on how many people or children were at the pool. It didn't bother us much though, we were always out during the day. The room smelled musty when we arrived, but at the end of the day it was okay. It is smaller than the pictures on the internet. They have better rooms at the newer wing of the resort, but priced a bit higher too. The room, bathroom and towels are clean. The breakfast buffet has limited choices but overall it was okay. Their dinner buffet by the beach - with unlimited grilled squid, pork barbecue, fresh oysters and mussels (as well as other dishes) - was well worth the price. For two nights we stayed and enjoyed ourselves at their open air bar on the second floor. They have a great dj and without fail the guests would immediately stand up to dance and just have a great time. The location is perfect - beachfront, midway between station 1 and 3, very near d'mall. I really enjoyed my stay, and would highly recommend this hotel.
You'll never be disappointed by the 5 star service & location
I traveled to Boracay with my husband and 23 month old toddler and stayed in Le Soliel for 10 days. Room: We were initially booked into a deluxe room for the first 4 nights (rooms 201-210), but these rooms were VERY noisy at night. There is a nights club close by and the music is very loud. I do not recommend these types of room for light sleepers or families traveling with young children. I made a complaint to the front desk staff and we were upgraded (with no additional cost) premium pool side room. This room was a lot quieter and very convenient bc the pool was right in front. The only down side with this room was that the air conditioner was an older model and was noisy (but not as noisy at the club - which we no longer could hear in the pool side room) and the lights infront of the rooms cannot be turned off. But, all in all, once we moved rooms we enjoyed our stay a lot more. Location: very convenient. Perfect spot for us. All the shopping were just 5 minutes away. The hotel had a beach front with lounge chairs, this was very convenient. Service: Exceptional! The staff accommodated for all our needs. From room change, to as small as bringing cutlery in the room. They all went out of there way to make sure we had a comfortable stay. For the things that this hotel missed out on it made up on the service. All the staff, from housekeeping, room service & especially front desk were all fabulous! This hotel knows how to hire A grade staff. Food: Buffet breakfast was provided every morning. If you are Filipino you'll enjoy breakfast, but for other nationalities, it's a bit limited. Filipino cooking was very good, but the japanese and western cooking was average. But, we still ate a lot more in Le Soliel than other restaurants due to convenience. Overall: Le Soliel is a hotel with great service. It needs a little upgrade with it's air conditioning and toilet & bath room. I would definitely consider going back again just because the staff looked after my family extremely well. My main advise is that, if you are a family with young kids - book a pool side room esp - if you are staying for longer than 2 nights.
Average hotel
This was a comfortable if basic hotel but is certainly capitalising on it's position on the beachfront regarding its price. It's location is excellent, it's a short walk to the boats and to the dive centre we used. Breakfast was average however and the room was quite basic. The swimming pool was very cloudy and didn't seem clean. Generally it was not somewhere I would stay again for the money involved.
Nice hotel in great location
We were given a nice drink on arrival also a necklace of shells, which was a nice touch. Our room was right next to the swimming pool, I can't fault the room, it was clean and comfortable. I was worried about the noise level after reading reviews but we couldn't hear any music, infant the club next door to the hotel kept its doors closed at nights. The only negatives, it would of been nice if the wi fi had worked in our rooms also after spend 5 days there the breakfast became boring as it was the same virtually every day, especially as I didn't fancy fish, rice or chicken for breakfast, but overall a nice hotel and one that I would go back to
Average stay at Le Soleil de Boracay
Booked a family and stayed for 2 nights. Though the room is a bit old and dark, nevertheless it is clean. The bathroom is a bit small and the water pressure is not that strong. We arrived around one o'clock and our room was still unavailable. The staff around that time was not very helpful. But overall it was a pleasant stay, food was okay and not that expensive especially the restaurant beside their pool. Service was prompt. I will be returning to Boracay next May, but I will try to stay somewhere else.
They love their business
You won't waste your money here. The staff are attentive and dedicated starting from the booking office in Makati, the transfer staffs at Caticlan to the hotel, the reception, guards, bell boys and dining staffs, they are all serious in their craft. The site is well mentained and clean. For me, this is the most balanced hotel in terms of price and ameneties among the hotels at boat station 2 if your choice is near the actions and crowds near d'mall. And what I like most is that they have enough security guards to watch over your safety. We stayed here from August 6, 2012 to August 10, 2012.
Some of the best customer service I have ever experienced
Location is probably the best in Boracay. The staff are super friendly and they get all the small things right that make your stay extra special. Things like a cocktail on arival wilst you are checking in, reception making calls for you to ensure that all your tours and transfers run smoothly, placeing a small reef around your neck on arrival as a welcoming and every single staff member from security to cleaning staff to the chefs will take the time to smile and greet you no mater what you are doing. This is something that you can see they take genuine pleasure in doing rather than doing it because they have too. The rooms are spacious and very nice. They have a very homely feeling about them. On our stay we were cought in a typhoon and the staff at the hotel did everything in there power to ensure everything was running to plan in regards to the flight and ferry transfers. Not only did they do this well, they were very prompt and kept us up to date regulary. On a down side the wifi needs improving. A Big Thanks to all the Staff at Le Soleil for making our stay an unbelievable experience.
Beach Front Accommodation
Rooms: We got upgraded to the Ambassador Suite which has two spacious bedrooms, two comfort rooms, common dining area and living room. The room was the best we've ever experienced from our travel! The room is just in front of the pool and bar which is convenient for the kids we're traveling with. Location: The hotel is in Station 2 and is a short walk to the DMall. For the best beach front quality, you'll have to walk though to Station 1. If you want to be in the middle of everything, Le Soleil is just right. Service: Service was excellent. We chose to avail of the hotel transfer services and we were fetched by a helpful driver and porter. The return transfer was also seamless. The reception also immediately caters to our request. Internet: Wifi is only available at the lobby area which gets crowded naturally in the morning and evenings. Other than those times, you can just seat there comfortably. The signal was okay for browsing sites but not for streaming videos. I'm not sure if you can opt to pay for a wifi access in you room. Breakfast: Breakfast was certainly better than hotels we've tried in Station 3. The selection was plenty and there were fresh fruits and juices. Omelettes were our favorite.
Will stay here again
Have stayed here with my family. This is a nice hotel with very good service. Everything (from transfer to rooms) are stored out when we arrive. We are located near the swimming pool which my kids really enjoyed. Near d' Mall, Mc donalds, etc. Service was good. ONly issues is the wifi not available in room. Bfast is also good. Will definitely stay here again.
Great location!
The location of this hotel is amazing! Staff is friendly and polite. Things that can be better: Update the rooms (at least the one I stayed in), TV remote not working properly, smelly, toilet flushing not working (got a temporary fix), color scheme etc. Food wise the breakfast was under all critic... Maybe better to fix a good menu and stick to it... Also some items such as omelet being made on request we were not aware of. Would I go there again? I probably would as compared to other options, location etc it was great.
My second stay, and not disappointed
This was my second stay in this hotel. Hotels are variable in Boracay but I returned to this one as I had a great experience last time. Perfect location on the beach at station 2, lovely rooms with balconies by the pool. Can't really ask for more in Boracay.
Best Spot
Stayed there for 3 nights and I didnt do much research on where I wanted to stay. The travel agency recommended me and so I just grab. Overall I didnt regret at all. The hotel has the best location, not only it was smack right in front of the white sandy beach it was also in the middle of where the happening is. It was easy to get around to anywhere from the hotel and everything close by. The staff was very helpful, they helped to make the return arrangement. The room was huge and comes with an outdoor balcony. Breakfast was ok, serves American meal.
Nice place to stay
Stayed at Le Soleil for 4 nights, the rooms were nice and big and quite clean, however we're a bit dark. The hotel in general was nice and kept very clean, however there seemed to be bit of a sewerage problem and smelled a bit near our room the last 2 nights. The pool was alright might be starting to get a bit dated but the cabanas next to the pool were nice. The worst part about our stay was the breakfast, it was basically inedible and we chose to eat out rather than eat the cold buffet breakfast that was served. Besides the breakfast we had no other complaints about the hotel, it was in a good location and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Excellent location, average accommodation, good choice
We paid $500AUD for 4 nights for a Superior Deluxe room from agoda.com. Location: Excellent. It is smack bang in the middle of Station 2 and on the beachfront. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Boracay other than along the beach just for convenience sake. If you've done your research you'll know that Station 2 is the busier part and is better for those who like to be social. Le Soleil is amongst all the restaurants and a few minutes walk to D'Mall. Accommodation: As others have stated the hotel is quite dated, but clean. The TV is old and crap but has cable. I'm pretty sure there was a VCD player connected to the old 51cm Panasonic same as my family had when I was growing up. We only stayed in our room to sleep anyways, so as long as the queen bed had clean sheets and was comfortable we were happy. We had a Superior Deluxe room which was on the 2nd floor with a balcony and a view of the pool which was towards the back of the hotel. It was quieter than staying at the very front of the hotel which has a club right next door. My sister stayed on the ground floor right next to the pool which I thought was slightly noisier and had less privacy. One thing to note is the hotel is very dark and gloomy. One of the hallways barely had any light and the room itself didn't have much light either. We didn't mind, but some people might not feel safe without much light. Amenities: There's a footwash at the front of the hotel to wash the sand off your feet before you enter. They are very good at providing beach towels and changing them over for you. Like all hotels it has a section of beach with its own beach chairs, but they are plastic and aren't the most comfortable compared to some of the others I saw with cushions, but as you can tell by now I'm not too fussy. Be careful if you leave valuables there while you swim, even though there's a security guard that's supposed to keep an eye on everyone's stuff there's too much going on for them to be extremely vigilant. The gym was actually pretty good with aircon, a smith machine, dumbbells up to 50lbs, an adjustable bench, a barbell with weights, a treadmill and an exercise bike. Of course when walking around the beach you must pump iron daily in order to make your muscles bulge for the chicks. The pool looked fine although I didn't swim in it. It wasn't too deep either. The included breakfast was pretty good and it changed up a bit everyday. There was a good balance between Filipino and Western food - Rice, adobo, bangus and pancakes, french toast, baked beans, scrambled eggs, etc.. Perfect for a Filipino Aussie. Laundry was expensive as expected but there's places around the back of D'Mall which do it for a lot cheaper if you're willing to risk it. My wife and I spend a lot of money on our clothes and we still took our clothes to the cheaper place. If you're still reading up to this point: Constantly there will be people trying to sell you stuff on the beach from sunglasses to activities to their bodies for pleasure. Always remember if your skin is white, most likely they have quadruped the price. If you're Filipino they most likely would have tripled it.. at the very least. ALWAYS haggle and don't be shy. I won't tell you the prices I got as that ruins the fun of you getting the price down, and I don't want to rob the locals of their source of income. Club Parwan is not bad if you are Filipino and there's a couple of others right next to it in Station 1 at night. If you wanna hang out with other foreigners the club right next to Le Soleil isn't bad but full of prostitutes and trannies. It's awesome to go clubbing in shorts, a singlet and thongs and being able to dance on the beach.
Perfect location and service but might need to renovate soon
This is my second time visiting Boracay and also my second time staying here in Le Soleil. It just meant that I was very contented with my first stay here that I didn't even bother looking for another hotel for my second trip. Thing is, things change. Amenities / Beach front First, the pool needs renovation. It looks and feels old. Although it looks okay, once you get closer, you can see the deterioration of it. Their beach front was also okay. Because it is habagat season, there were wind breakers in front and that is understandable because they usually put that to protect the property from strongs winds and waves. If you dont want such an unsightly view, dont visit during June - Sept. They have security guard to watch over your stuff while you swim at the beach. That's the biggest plus point for me. Room Second, the rooms (I stayed in the old wing, second floor) might also need renovations soon. The furniture looks old. but the bed is still superb which is an important factor. The bathroom lacks hooks and needs renovation. Other than that, I like the plastic outdoor furniture in the veranda as it is comfortable even though it's made of plastic. Service Disregarding my comments above, I would've given this hotel resort a 5 start for their service and location. They do provide towels for you to bring to the pool or beach. Just ask from the guard on duty by the entrance, inform your room number and youre done! You can also bring it directly to your room. Same goes with the pool if you want to borrow. The front desk staff are very helpful friendly and polite. They also were kind enough to accommodate requests. The waiters in the cafe were very friendly and prompt as well! Food - Breakfast For the breakfast food, there were some viands that was changed daily but some were staples like rice, pancakes, congee etc. On our 4 day stay, we had 3 breakfasts. My favorite viands were tapa, garlic rice (get additional garlic for your garlic rice from the congee condiments), adobo, corned beef. Honestly, the food is not something to rave about but it's good enough to make you full and enjoy some Filipino food. Food - Dinner We had 2 dinner buffets at Le Soleil. We arrived quite late on our first dinner and the food was already cold. The rice was very hard and as a rice eater, we didn't enjoy the meal right from the very start. The viands were cold as well and almost empty. The pasta was good though but nothing special. Their iced tea was bland. Too much water mixed maybe. Overall I'd be honest with you. Although they have good service and great location, this is my last time staying here in Le Soleil. I didn't like how the room felt and the washroom didn't quite match my expectations compared from my first stay here. Main reason for this being my last is because I want to try out other resorts too. I'll be trying out 2 Seasons or Discovery Shores / Shangrila Boracay next time. I'll be putting more information on my blog at www.cheftonio.com
Alptraum
A Great Holiday
The hotel is in a great position in the middle of station 2 and also is close to Dmall entrance. The staff are very good complimented by helpful reception staff which can sometimes be hard to find when in the Philippines. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean with split air conditioning (can also be hard to get in some parts of Asia) and good hot water and pressure. For anyone wanting to retreat to quietness as the beachfront is very busy and can noisy this is an ideal place to stay as the rooms go back a fair way providing solitude. The pool was clean, and did not hurt our eyes as such is well looked after. The beachside service was excellent and the staff kept a good eye on things left on your chair when swimming. They also provided great service for drinks and eats at the beach when asked. The dinner menu choice was great and you could either have the buffet or from the menu. (their steaks were very good although ask for medium if you want rare and well done for medium and so forth). The breakfast buffet was ok but I believe could be improved to cater more for Western diets. In saying this it should deter people from this hotel as it has a lot going for it. An improvements would be even an extra toaster which is quicker than the one 2 piece toaster they have. Overall highly recommended and good value. My family enjoyed their stay and we will use the LeSoleil when next there.
Literally steps away from the beach!
Wow, this really is the perfect location, right on white beach in boracay. The hotel has its own sun bed area on the beach, with hotel staff there to mind your belongings, check touts registration, get you a sun bed or mango shake if you fancy it. The rooms are god size, clean and comfortable, but that doesn't matter so much because this place is all about being on the beach!! The breakfast was quite a good selection, staff were welcoming and it is a nice touch to receive a welcome drink and shell necklace on arrival. Definitely recommend if you want a great beach holiday or break!
Perfect place to stay in Boracay
Le Soleil has wonderful staff. They checked us in at 10 AM, even if the regular checkin is 2 PM. All our needs were taken care of - from the welcome drinks to extra towels and beach umbrellas. The only thing amiss with this hotel is the pool - I think there is too much chlorine in that pool. However, the place is very nice and the room is very very comfortable. The bath is modern, and there was a TV Set, stereo, sofa, chairs in our room. I will definitely go back!!
