Peggy's Cove not just another lighthouse
Peggy's Cove seemed like " just another lighthouse " stop but it's beautiful and surrounded by huge rocks that you can walk out on not to mention you're on the Atlantic Ocean.
Red building
The Visitor Information Centre is almost the first building you pass when you arrive at Peggy's Cove. There is a large parking lot right next to it. There are information panels in front of the building. Inside you will find information booklets about Peggy's Cove and the other interesteng spots in the area. You can ask questions or get advice here. They are pet friendly here, so you can go in with your dog.
Charmant petit village de pêcheurs avec sa pointe rocheuse et son magnifique phare
Le premier endroit où s'arrêter (information, plan, etc.) lors d'une visite de Peggy's Cove, charmant petit village de pêcheurs (encore en activité), situé à environ une heure de route au sud d'Halifax. D'autant plus qu'un grand stationnement gratuit voisine la maisonnette logeant la succursale locale de l'office du tourisme de la Nouvelle-Écosse. Le village se visite facilement à pied, idéalement par beau temps. Quelques maisonnettes colorées ou décolorées par le climat maritime et le temps abritent quelques ateliers et salles d'exposition d'artisans. Une visite où il faut prendre son temps. Le point d'attraction principale est évidemment le phare de Pegg's Cove, située au bout de la route, sur la magnifique pointe rocheuse dénudée par les vagues. Beaucoup de restaurants où les produits de la mer sont en vedette.
