I'm not quite sure how I missed the red flag reviews of this place before I booked. I wasn't expecting any frills - but I was hoping for clean. My hopes were dashed when I found hair all over the sheets and a big stain on the sheets as well. 🤢. In the bathroom, there was a used bar of soap and (worst of all) some red / brown splatters on the wall by the toilet. Don't stay here if those things bother you. I feel like a need a shower after staying here.
Road trip USA 2019
Nous étions 3 amis logés dans cet établissement pour une nuit et tout s'est très bien passé. Le personnel est adorable et parle français !! Nous recommandons avec plaisir ce motel si vous suivez les traces du Grand canyon par exemple..
Motel très bien
Un motel tout à fait correct. Literie confortable, chambre spacieuse et propre. Bien équipé. Comme la plupart des motels, et plus largement des constructions en bois, l'isolation est catastrophique donc si vous êtes au rez-de-chaussée et qu'à l'étage ils sont bruyants, c'est un peu compliqué pour dormir. Mais vu le petit prix payé, difficile de se plaindre.

Sauber und geräumig, freundliche Rezeption. Wlan inklusive. Es ist zum einmaligen Übernachten vollkommen ausreichend, für längeren Aufenthalt eher spartanisch. Eismaschine vorhanden. Es gibt auch einen Pool, den wir aber nicht genutzt haben.

motel6 Kingman west ist ein übliches motel der Kette. Einfach ausgestattet, alles sauber, alles im Zimmer funktioniert wie es soll. Ein schöner Pool ist vorhanden. Günstig gelegen zur route66, powerhouse and trainstation mit kleinem Modellbahnmuseum. Preis / Leistung ist ok.
Perfectly fine
Needed a place to rest on a long road trip and chose to stay here because I had stayed here many years ago. The room was spotless, the bed was comfy, and the price was right. The front desk was very friendly, an added bonus. A note to lighter sleepers... with the laminate floors, you'll want to request a room upstairs because sound does travel. Either that or grab some inexpensive ear plugs. No biggie!
Motel sympa pour une halte avant le skywalk !
Comme d'habitude, nous n'avons pas été déçus par Motel 6. Bien entendu, il ne faut pas s'attendre, comme certains autres voyageurs, à des prestations dignes d'un hotel de luxe : c'est un motel à très petit budget ! Notre chambre comprenait un mini frigo bien pratique pour avoir des boissons fraiches. La propreté et le calme était au rendez-vous. Bref, nous recommandons ce motel pour faire une halte d'une nuit (ou plus) afin de visiter les alentours et notamment se rendre sur la route 66 ou bien au skywalk (Grand Canyon West).
Clean, basic, pet friendly & economical - right off Interstate 40
We stay here about 4 times a year in transit to / from California. It was recently upgraded with laminate floors instead of carpet (a no brainer when you encourage pets). Friendly reception and close to a good Thai Restaurant (Bangkok Thai). There's also a coffee shop right next door. Not fancy but very serviceable. Do not (repeat, do not) stay in Motel 6 Kingman East - If Kingman West is full, find another place (Quality Inn is good, but charges for pets).
You get what you pay for
Check in went smoothly only because we had cash to pay for two nights stay. Their system was down. Reported that the toilet wasn't working, waited 9 hours for maintenance and it was still not fixed. Room wasn't cleaned during the second day so no clean, dry towels for second night. The roof didn't leak and the AC worked, so not all bad.
Clean updated room
For $50 it was good with no issues. Laminate flooring in room was nice instead of carpet. Close to the small downtown for visiting the small shops and grabbing a beer at the 2 small breweries in town. And you can say you stayed on Route 66.
Nyoppusset og flott
Flotte rom nymalt, rent pent deilige senger. Personalet var behjelpelig og hyggelig. Bassengområdet var flott og bassenget var fra 1-3 meter dypt Det var litt lytt mellom rommene. Et flott hotell formdeg som skal hvile ut før vegas eller grand canyon
Not the Ritz but good value, clean, good location
Stayed multiple nights and was comfortable and safe. Just a 10min walk to locomotive park. Large room with two large beds. Basic accommodation but clean & comfortable. Not a noisy area, plenty of parking.
Much better than reviews, Great Surprise!
Friendly staff, quiet, clean rooms, newly remodeled. Plenty of room to exercise dog down back. Free WiFi with code, ice, coin op laundry, microwave in vending room. No shampoo however. Great basic room at good price.
Très bien
L'accueil laisse à désirer. Il serait bon de donner une bonne formation au personnel. La chambre est propre et spacieuse. Par contre, bien que nous soyons au 21ème siècle et aux USA le WIFI se traîne d'une façon énervante.
Nooit meer!
Dit is een zeer goedkoop motel. Maar dat betekent niet dat het dan vies hoeft / mag zijn. Toen wij hier aankwamen en rondkeken leek het ok. Toen we naar de badkamer gingen liepen er allemaal kleine beestjes in de badkuip. Plus dat het haar van waarschijnlijk de 5 vorige gasten nog in het putje zat. De ongeïnteresseerde jongen achter de balie heeft niet eens excuses aangeboden maar gaf gewoon de kaart van een andere kamer. Dan konden we kijken of dat beter is. Hij vroeg ook niet of we wifi wilden. Nu moet je hier voor betalen en dat is ook iets wat we vreemd vinden. $2, 99 per 2 devices.
No serious complaints
The only room available with a working A / C was a smoking room, so we snatched it and hoped for the best. The room was clean and there was hardly any smell at all, i wouldn't consider it unpleasant. The A / C was noisy as heck but it worked well, and the shower leaked for awhile after turning it off, but other than that my stay here was comfortable.
Correct
Ce motel 6 est correct rapport qualité prix. Vous êtes non loin de la Route 66. C'est un motel correct pour un court passage. Attention cependant à la propreté notamment sous les lits où souvent le ménage y est oublié.
Not as good as it used to be
We only spent 1 night there & was pretty disappointed with it. They said they recently upgraded the rooms. The tub was very slow at draining even though we only took a shower. The sink was terrible. The faucet splashed water in my face & everywhere whenever I washed my hands. The bed was small, not a queen like it was supposed to be & very hard.
MOTEL 6 KINGMAN
we went to Kingman for visiting some of the museums (route 66 museum-mohave museum-railroad museum). the motel is on walking distance of the museums. the motel is one of the better motel 6 i stay'd in. (fridge micro and clean. when I go back to Kingman I will stay again in this 6.

The pool was 👍 Rooms are big spacious You have to pay additional money for a refrigerator or microwave any motel 6 I have stayed at they all came with this here it's $3.00 extra I had to clean my tub grabbed the cleaner from the maid I didn't complain my husband says I am to picky the televisions are nice and big All and all nice comfortable stay
Good deal
Stayed here for the night before heading to Supai. The man at the desk was very friendly. Our room was clean and plenty large and had a fridge. Shower worked well and the beds were comfortable. Pool was small but clean and had chairs with umbrellas for shade. Wifi had a sign that is cost, but he c] gave us a code so it would be free. I did not put mine in. All in all I would stay here again - yes.
Great customer service
This Motel 6 is a winner. The front desk staff is very kind, and very helpful. The check in process is fast and easy... they offer a veterans discount as well. The staff here works hard, very polite and very accommodating. The rooms are clean and well maintained as well.
Avoid they charge for Wifi
Very dumb owners. I rented across the street for $ 5.00 and got free wifi. The Arizona Inn much more accommodating. Rooms were clean. The Arizona Inn provided shampoo and soap. Again do not rent from Motel 6.
Clean & Quiet
Good value for the money, if what you need is a clean quiet room for the night this will do fine. No frills. free coffee available in the office. easy check in and out, staff even lent me a hair dryer on my last stay there.
Stopped here on the way out and the way back
Don't know if they just completed a renovation or what, but the rooms I stayed in were GREAT, both times. It's a Motel 6, not a Sheridan, yet, I've paid way more for way less. Staff is always helpful, and rooms always clean. It's close to the interstate, and good food is not far either, so what's not to like? I've stayed here probably 20 or more times, and always the same results. I'll be staying on my next visit as well. Yes, you can hear trains, but so what. The newer mattress slept very well too.

We used to stay on the other side of town but now wanted something close to Beale street. We found this place and while it is nothing special it is nothing bad either. A decent place for a decent stay for a decent price.

Motel sale, vieillot, délabré, mauvaise odeur des draps et serviettes. Salle de bain sale. WiFi payant, pas de petit déjeuner. Seul point positif, l'emplacement, idéal pour une nuit avant d'aller au grand canyon.
Cleaniness
I would recommend staying here when traveling. It's very clean, friendly people & the price is reasonable. It is also right off the interstate. Different employees helped give me directions, which I was very grateful.
Fremde Haare auf dem Bett, wer mag das schon?!
Das Motel wirkte zunächst von außen wie ein " normales " Motel in Amerika, nichts besonderes, aber auch nicht verkommen. Die Zimmer allerdings: Absolute Katastrophe!!! Total veraltete Einrichtung, nirgendwo war es sauber. Der erste Blick ins Bad ekelte mich bereits, es war nicht sauber und Haare lagen rum. Der Blick ins Bett war noch schlimmer: Überall Haare, die nicht unsere sein konnten, absolut ekelhaft!!! Ich vermute die Putzfrau wechselt die Bettwäsche sicher nicht nach jedem Gast. In Kingman gibt es sicher bessere Plätze zum übernachten!
Decent place to stay
It is a decent place to stay at when staying in kingman. It is a good price for the quality of the motel. It is one of the better economy based motels in kingman. It is located to several places to eat when staying here.
Classico motel stile americano
Il motel si trova sulla storica route 66! Per una stanza da 4 abbiamo pagato soltanto 49 dollari che per gli standard americani è veramente poco! Pensavamo di trovare una stanza pessima e invece è stata una sorpresa trovare una stanza grande e pulita! Wifi a pagamento!
Needs to be updated
Good to spend one night on your way to the Grand Canyon. They need to update everything. Looks very old and not very appealing. For the price I paid and to spend a night was ok. We were able to get a good night sleep. Maybe next time I'll try another motel in the area. Although there aren't a lot of options to choose from.
Nickeled and dimed
No refrigerator, no microwave, no coffee machine, no breakfast, and you have to pay for wifi. I will not stay here again. Restaurant on premises. TV is an ancient tube-type with limited channels. There are dents in the floor where a refrigerator used to be but there is none now.
Motel cutre, suficiente para pasar una noche por el precio
El motel es un poco flojo, habitación y baño no muy allá, piscina que da cosa meterse y no hay wifi gratis. Dicho esto, si pasan por kingman y quieren un motel para dormir, pues no está mal del todo ya que es bastante barato.
One of the friendliest ever
I loved staying at this wonderful Motel 6 Kingman West. The staff are so very friendly and helpful, my room was spotlessly clean and comfy- and it was great value! Also enjoyed the fact that it was very quiet. It is also great that Check Out Time is 12 and not 11 - and they very kindly gave me a late check out, without charging. Finally, with exceptional kindness the manager agreed that I could leave a package here for collection later. This was particularly good of her I am running across America Cancer Awareness and pulling a heavy buggy - tough to carry everything. I
Clean and well presented
This is a very well presented and large motel located just off the main 93 interstate. rooms were reasonably priced but the wifi is charged extra and the only form of breakfast you get is a cup of coffee. We had the feeling that crime was or is a problem as there was more than one notice around the complex telling people to be aware of their own safety and lock all doors. After saying that we had a very pleasant stay and would be happy to go back.
Schlimmste Nacht auf RoadTrip
Wir haben im August 2014 eine Nacht verbracht. Bei der Ankunft sah das Hotel völlig ok aus. Im Zimmer hat es nach Rauch gerochen. Das Licht im Bad und der Wasserhanh hat nicht funktioniert. Die Zimmer waren sehr hellhörig. Nachts waren viele komische Leute unterwegs. Mitten in der Nacht wurden wir vom Feueralarm geweckt. Ca. alle 15min / 30min fährt ein Zug in der nähe des Motels vorbei und hornt mehrmals. Wir würden hier nie mehr übernachten. Wie waren froh am morgen abreisen zu können.
Too noisy!
This Motel 6 is very noisy, between the trains that run directly behind the building, and the guests themselves. I stayed on a Saturday night and there was constant noise both in the parking lot and a what sounded like a rhino running back and forth upstairs. The room was clean, but the shower leaked (I was in a disabled room, and the water flooded the floor). You had to pay for the wifi, but it had a good strong signal.
Altes Motel mit guter Lage
Das Zimmer war ok es verfügte jedoch über keinen Kühlschrank. Als Zwischenziel auf dem Weg zum Grand Canyon auf jeden Fall geeignet. Preislich vollkommen in Ordnung. Pool, Eismaschine, Getränkeautomaten sind vorhanden. Des Weiteren befindet sich gegenüber dem Hotel ein nettes Diner mit gutem Frühstück.
Stay somewhere else!
Read the reviews and we thought why not give it a try, considering the reviews were ok! Front desk staff was friendly, and when we arrived they were busy! Older room, we were not expecting much, but it did smell bad! Good thing I carry my own air freshener. Maid left her cleaning stuff in the room and we even checked the bed to make sure the sheets were clean! Bed was comfortable but will not stay there again! Old tv and the towels looked stained!
Crottes et insectes
Durant notre séjour de 2 semaines, nous avons logé dans plusieurs Motel 6 qui n'étaient pas toujours top mais là... Nous sommes arrivés en début de nuit et n'avons pas bien vu l'état de la chambre. C'est une fois réveillés que nous avons constaté qu'il y avait une crotte de chien (je l'espère) au coin de meuble télé et que plusieurs cafards se promenaient sur nos bagages... Même si nous avons été remboursé pour la nuit, il y a quand même des choses qui ne doivent pas arriver!
Great for an overnight stay
We stay at Motel 6 because of their pet friendly policies. This particular 6 had a few nice grassy areas for the dogs to relieve themselves. (hard to find in AZ and NM) The rooms aren't in the new modern style, but they were clean. We had clean towels and soap. Bathroom clean and smelled fresh. Beds were comfortable enough that we all slept soundly and woke up refreshed. The floors are carpeted and had stains, but again this is a motel that accepts pets. They weren't sticky or smelly so we were satisfied. The employees we came in contact with were friendly enough. I'm not expecting a 5 star hotel experience and I'm not usually disappointed with Motel 6. This was a good choice and if we travel through Kingman again we'll stay here again.
Cheap, but staff not cheerful!
Firstly for the price we were not expecting much, but aren't smiles free?? We weren't greeted very well at all, but did get keys and proceed through the car park where some dodgy characters were practising their Nunchuck skills... In the room and the door firmly locked the beds we're comfortable, decoration a little dated but clean enough for the night.
Yet another great stay at this property
Staff was good, room was clean and comfortable, even though very hot outside. HAve stayed here often and always the same results. He always ben able to find a room as there are many. There are trains at night, but that's Kingman. This is a good stop before or after the California desert, or Las Vegas.
Another of the Better Motel 6
My air conditioners on BOTH vehicles went out somewhere in Las Vegas. The choice was to either stay in Las Vegas or continue forward into Kingman, AZ... we opted for Kingman... and it was 117 that day but away we went. WE found the Motel 6 off HWY 93. which is W. Beale St / Old Route 66 / turns into Andy Devine... hey, this is Kingman... what can I say. I have stayed in the other Motel 6 of which I will write a review shortly but this one I must say, is a much better one than that other one off of Andy Devine The rooms are more spacious, much cleaner which translate to better smelling and a better clientele perhaps? There is a swimming pool and a restaurant right next door. The people very friendly and extremely helpful too. I've stayed in both and even though this one is around 10-15 bucks more it is WELL worth the extra. I have AARP discount so the wifi is free and one gets a 10% discount too. So, the choice is yours but this one is mine. Travel safe, my friends
Cheap Sleep
I was put in the older building of the hotel. The room was very basic and showing its age. The only " working " vending is up next to the office. NO FREE WIFI. If you're looking for a quick place to stop and sleep it is OK. If you are wanting to relax and stay for awhile I would go someplace else. On a positive note there is a good restaurant on the edge of the parking lot. Very easy walk.
Only stay if you have to
The room was larger than most of the Motel 6's I've stayed in, and it was apparently too big to clean properly. The carpet was in decent shape, but needed to be vacuumed much better. The TV was small and had something all over the screen, as those it had been sprayed with something that no one bothered to wipe off. The bed looked like they had at least tried to make sure it was clean. The sheets had seen better days but appeared clean anyway. I found long black hairs on the towels, and I do not have black hair. The worst part was the bathroom. The toilet was not clean at all. It hadn't even been flushed since it was used. I got into the shower, in which the head was pointed out so the floor got wet when I turned the head on, and realized that it was caked with soap scum. Not just a little, but a lot. It was disgusting. I wasn't expecting anything spectacular when I booked the room, but I was honestly expecting better than I got. I know Motel 6 isn't exactly fancy but I thought it would at least be cleaner than it was. I gave it two stars because it was easy to find and the door locked securely. It was fairly quiet as well. But those are the only nice things I can say about it. The only reason I stayed was because I had paid for the room and there were no refunds.
Worst front desk ever!
Very poor customer service. Front desk gave us a wrong key and want us to pick up the key ourselves. We came late on that place because of big accident in I-40... We are tired already so an effort would be at least appreciated.
On our way to Vegas
The room was reasonable in price and the service was little above average. Did not sleep well because bed was too soft. Woke up with back hurting. The restaurant on site left a lot to be desired. The prime rib was cold as if it was not made fresh. I had to ask them to put it in microwave to heat up when came back was not edible. My wife ask for med well on her steak and it came back bloody was unable to eat. Neither me or my wife were able to finish our meal. The waitress did apologize for the problem but did not offer us to talk to manager or fix the ticket when it was obvious we neither one ate our food. We will not eat at the restaurant there ever again Very dissatisfied As for the hotel the service was fine. I would not have a problem with the hotel except for them recommending that horrible restaurant.
Be prepared
The desk clerk (Linda), isn't the most motivated employee. She never stood up, both times I tried to check in. I had made the reservations, months in advance and my only request was a ground floor room. I arrived a little after noon so I wasn't surprised that the rooms weren't ready, but I was told when they checked my reservation that I probably would not be able to get a ground floor room. We left and returned and although the rooms were finished they still couldn't find a ground floor room. This property is all two story buildings, so how hard can it be, with a couple of months notice? As for the room, it did NOT have; iron or ironing board, blow dryer, any pictures on the wall, alarm clock, refrigerator, shampoo. It did have a very old 19 " TV, propped up on a cheesy armouir. Parking lot is not very well lit. I could go on but you get my drift, these rooms are only for sleeping.
Hotel From Hell!
Checked in and non smoking room smelled like smoke. No fridge, or microwave. Front Desk moved me to room with fridge and microwave to a nasty smoking motel room! Gross! No other rooms. Had to buy air freshener just to tolerate nasty smell. Beds were horrible and hard as a rock. The light over the sink did not work. Worse place to stay!
Un motel au bord de la Route 66, comme dans les films
Très bien placé en centre ville de Kingman, au bord de la Route 66, juste après la sortie West sur la Highway qui vient de L. A. vers.. Flagstaff et la suite. Accueil un peu distant mais pas trop, faut tout demander sinon la personne ne vous explique pas grand chose. Une piscine existe, mais je n'y ai pas goûté ce jour là bien qu'il fasse très chaud. Les chambres sont ordinaires mais propres, avec 2 grands lits Queen confortables. La salle d'eau est divisée en 2, l'évier du côté de la chambre, et le reste (WC et douche) dans la pièce d'eau qui ferme. Très grand parking, les gros camions et les grandes caravanes de cow-boy peuvent s'y garer facilement. Au bout du parking, il y a les trains qui passent, c'est bruyant parfois, mais pas trop gênant pour dormir je trouve. En moins de 10mn à pied, vous avez des musées, une superbe loco vapeur sur son piédestal, et surtout l'excellent diner " Mr Dz " à l'ambiance sixty garantie (couleurs, locaux, serveuses...). J'ai bien aimé l'ambiance générale de cette ville avec son Motel6
ALLA LARGA DA QUESTO POSTO!!!
Orrido! Appena entrati in camera, abbiamo subito una cattivo odore nell'aria. Abbiamo dovuto dormire vestiti con jeans e felpa e mettere sopra le lenzuola i nostri asciugamani personali per quanto era sporco! Capelli, macchie di sangue su una federa e una puzza terribile proveniente dal materasso stesso!! Non vi avvicinate a questo posto! Per nessun motivo! Posti così devono chiudere.
Would stay again. Cheap and good loc on your way to the Grand Canyon
We stayed here to break up our travel to the Grand Canyon. Excellent value for money. Great location for the Grand Canyon - around 2 hour drive. Clean, large room and very comfortable. Limited internet available though.
Nice Place - Noisey though
The motel itself is nicely maintained and a good value. The only down side is the train tracks nearby. Trains run through about every 30 mins all night long, whistle blowing the whole time. I'm not sure it matters where you stay as the train runs the length of the town.
dirty beds, bandaid in shower
checked in 21 Jan 2014 for 35 bux. You get what you pay for. Bed was gross, black hairs and wrinkled sheet (didnt change I assume). Shower had old soap and a band-aid inside. TV remote didnt work. I felt sick like I had the flu when I checked out the next morning, Loud train goes by all night.
Traveler with Dog
The trains are NOT that noisy. The rooms are clean and your pet stays free. This is the better of the two motel 6 in town and is right across the parking lot from family dining. Linda was able to get me in early and they give you a pet bag with a treat. The front desk ladies have always been funny and courteous to me. Anyone that rates a place based on what THEY perceive as the intelligence of the help working minimum wage jobs should be embarrassed because of their rudeness. No wonder some raters get treated poorly. Perhaps you deserve it. We stay in a room close to a tree so we can sit under it and relax if the weather is nice. There is a small dog park in town down and around the Route 66 road by the information center. Nothing close to the hotel allows pets. The room is clean and the ac works fine. This is an economy motel. What do people expect? Thick towels and bath supplies? Upscale furnishings? Micro and refrig? Go pay more at a better motel. Your pet stays free and that saves $15-$25 in non refundable deposits. Get out of the room and explore the city. Go up into the cool Hualapai Mountains on a $5 day pass. Eat out with the money you save. Motel 6 is a place for people that do not want to vegetate in their rooms. You cannot beat the rates nor the convenience.
Desperate for sleep but disappointed with hotel
We stayed here because traveling wind conditions were bad. We just wanted to sleep. We did get that. But at check in I was frustrated we found out we had to pay for wifi when all other hotels on street for same price offer it. The lights in the bathroom made a loud noise so took a shower in the dark. No shampoo or conditioner-not even those cheap ones. Bathtub was " clean " but really needed scrubbing. No place to put anything in bathroom. Not even a toilet lid. It smelled like grandmas attic. the grounds were dirty as was the pool. I am not a germ freak but I don't like sticky stuff everywhere and trash all over the parking lot. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe the bad wind did it? I did have a quiet place to sleep with an ok bed. So it served the purpose. There were four of us and we got a bed, a shower and water cups for $11.00 each. I will tip the cleaning lady cause she will clean up after us and she was very kind to my son. BUT we will be in Arizona for the week and I don't plan on any other Motel 6.
Trains. LOTS of them. Need I say more
We arrived quite late at night and stopped at the first exit in Kingman (we were headed east) to find a motel. I went to check in and in my bleary-eyed state only read the sign announcing that the " Historic Santa Fe Railway " went through town after paying for our stay and receiving the room keys. Thinking to myself " how bad could it be? " I asked what time the train went through. You can only imagine my horror when the answer was: Every 30 minutes. Oh, and 30 minutes? An exaggeration. They go through every 20 minutes... or maybe it's that you hear them 5 minutes before and 5 minutes after they pass RIGHT BY YOUR ROOM, but who the heck cares?! It's a train. That blows it's whistle. And it's constant. Allllll night long. Did I mention it's right outside your room? The one where you're trying to SLEEP?! Oh, how I wish I'd read the online reviews before booking this place but who thinks a train would pass right by? The good news is that we'll laugh about this motel / stay forever. It was like something right out of " My Cousin Vinnie "... only worse! The room was clean, but we would've gotten a better nights sleep in the car on the side of the highway, and it would've been FREE.
Cheap as chips
Noisy trains through the night. Clean rooms, comfy bed. Receptionist a bit dumb. Thirty eight bucks, can't complain.
Great Location! Friendly Staff! Nice Stay!
We had a wonderful stay at the Motel 6 West. We just came off a 24 day Grand Canyon trip, and we were looking for a cheap place to stay to transition back to the real world. We got an early check in, which was great! It was great to have a hot shower and nice bed to sleep on. The pool was nice. We decided since we had such a good night at the Motel 6, that we would stay another night. The Motel 6 is located right downtown. We walked around and ate at a diner and went to a local brewery. We were heading to Las Vegas to pick up a rental car, and we had our transportation fall through at the last minute. We struggled to find public transit to Vegas. The staff at the Motel 6 helped us look up rental car locations to rent a car to get to Vegas. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Thanks for a great stay!
Its all good, except for the front desk
Room was fine. Didn't have all the amenities I would have preferred. It had TV and AC, semi comfortable bed, no fridge or microwave. The rest of the property was typical Motel 6. Didn't like the attitude of the lady at the front desk, She gave the impression the guests were there for her convenience. Wouldn't have stayed here if it wasn't for the Route 66 car run we were on, and the majority of our group have stayed here for years on this particular run.
Noisy
I'd never stayed in a Motel 6 before, and I assumed it was going to be something similar to Travelodge - it's a more budget version and decor is pretty dated. With regards to this specific hotel, the staff were very nice and friendly giving us lots of tips about which section of the grand canyon we should go and visit. The trains are, as other users have mentioned, very noisy. Kept us up for most of the night. I also want to mention that it's quite poorly lit around the area at night - I felt slightly nervous walking around in the evening. I would suggest buying food at the Walmart in the town and eating that. The restaurants in the area were pretty uninspiring. Chili's was the best we could find....
Your Typical Motel 6 - Clean, Good Service
I arrived here in the wee hours of the morning without a reservation but as accommodated efficiently by a very pleasant night clerk. My room was surprisingly large (for a Motel 6) which suggested that this property had been converted to the Motel 6 brand. My room was apparently a disabled room, although I did not ask for one, which meant that it was laid out in a manner to accommodate a wheelchair - and that was done nicely. The bathroom was large and clean, with ample room for a wheelchair to maneuver. Climate control was a wall mounted heat / air unit which worked just fine. While very clean, the room did have noticeable wear and tear, reflecting its age, but even so, it was overall in decent condition. The motel is near a main railroad line, and, at check in, the hotel does have posted a somewhat humorous disclosure of this fact, since trains can and do pass through at all hours, and the do blow their horns. Those who have trouble dealing with periodic train noise might find themselves more comfortable elsewhere, but the noise didn't bother me, and I thought it reflected well on the motel's management that they would alert their guests before they checked in. The hotel is conveniently located right off of I-40 at the US-93 exit, south side, about 100 miles from Las Vegas and 30 miles from Boulder City / Laughlin. Overall - it's a reasonably cheap place to stay, very basic, but comfortable and clean. I would stay here again. If you're over 60, request the senior rate for a 10% discount off of the posted room rates. Wi-fi is available at $2.99 / day extra.
Cheap, but You Can Do Better
I guess I should not expect much for $43, would it have cost much to clean the tub? There are many liabilities here and precious few assets. Assets: the price, back up to the door... Ok the liabilities: Old furniture, hard beds, small TV, slow internet, noisy squeaky air, no breakfast, dirty bathroom and stained sheets. You have to pay for your slow internet and then you can only have one device using it at a time. My wife's cat allergies kicked in. No, it was not a good night and we cannot imagine how this place garnered a 3.5.

good for a guys trip or a place to rest your head (breifly). You get what you pay for. Do not try an extended stay and the trains WILL wake you up
A Good Nights Sleep
Stopped here on business because of location and price. I was not expecting much as I generally dislike Motel 6. The girl at the front desk was friendly and nice. When she saw I was driving a big truck she put me in a room where it would be easy to park the truck near by. That was nice of her. :-) This is a no frills hotel for sure but the room was clean and the bed comfy. I was surprised by how quiet it was. They have a Keurig in the office for morning coffee so that was a good start to my morning... I'd stay here again, and I don't say that about very many Motel 6's.
Almost perfect
This is the 2nd experience with " motel 6 ". I had a really good stay with the 1st one in El Reno, OK, so I chose this motel around the area. This one is cheaper than the 1st one, actually one of the cheapest around the area. Outside of the building looked old but inside of the room looked relatively new and very clean. The room is the most spacious room that I have ever stayed among all motels in the USA. However, the restroom is propotionally small compared to the entire room. I liked a lot the room and the bed. Unlike the 1st motel in El Reno, there is no fridge and no microwave in this room. So, smaller restroom, and no fridge, no microwave are the reason why I rated this room for 4 stars. I stayed here during off-season so the price is really cheap. It's a good deal! I would come back here again.
Good place to stay with dogs
We made much better time traveling from SoCal to Kingman than we thought, so we arrived before check-out time during a packed holiday weekend. The desk clerk told us about a great dog park nearby, which was a godsend. It's split into big dog & small dog areas and it has lots of shade. The pups made lots of new friends and got to run off energy while we ate our drive-thru lunch. We had several special requests because of physical limitations and the dogs, and they went out of their way to accommodate those. All of the motel staff we encountered were gracious and very helpful. They truly wanted our stay to be a good one. There was a decent restaurant across the parking lot and plenty of grassy spots for the pups. Three very cool museums are within a block, along with 2 more city parks. The pool was also a welcome sight. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We chose Motel 6 for this cross-country trip because we didn't want to pay $50 extra for 2 small dogs per night. We're used to staying in upscale motels / hotels and knew it would be basic (bring your own hair dryer) but were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room. It helped that we used Trip Advisor to pre-qualify which Motel 6 locations to use, so we had an idea of what we were getting into before we got there. Don't expect the Hilton or Marriott - but if you're looking for an inexpensive, decent place to spend the night while on the road, this one will definitely fill the bill.
Would not return left items
I am so disappointed - I followed all proper and legal channels. I actually had a decent stay at the motel other than the train noise and broken ice machine, but left my iPhone charger in the room. I realized it within several hours of leaving and called the front office. I spoke to Jasmine, who said yes, my charger had been found in the room and they had it at the front desk. She then told me to call back and speak to Jennifer, the manager who was responsible for handling return of lost items. When I called back, another girl took my information because Jennifer was not in. She then called back, informed me Jennifer was still not available, but they had my information and consent for COD. I could expect it to arrive by that Wednesday. It is now 8 days later. I called the front desk this morning and they were too busy to take my call.

serviceable room: didn't encounter any bed bugs - sheets were clean; bathroom same... wifi worked in my room # 117. staff at check in / out helpful concerning places to eat and inexpensive petrol - very appreciated!!!

One of the historic towns of the old major iconic road that joined Santa Monica, California to Chicago Stacey was extremely helpful The motel is situated close to a major shopping centre And breakfast at Grandpas Kitchen was very nourishing

Aber so ist das wohl bei Amerikas tierfreundlichstem Motel. War aber nicht weiter schlimm. Das Motel reicht als Stop bei der Durchfahrt vollkommen aus. Sauber und aufgeräumt war es auf jeden Fall (absgesehen halt von den Haaren in der Decke. Aber die kriegt man selbst beim Waschen kaum raus)
Immerhin günstig
Die zimmer sibd ziemlich abgewohnt und etwas miefige. Also nicht gerade einladend. Auch personal wenig motiviert. Aber der preis ist mit 50 dollar günstig. Kann man machen, wenn man auf der durchreise ist.
Ring around the tub
Room was adequate, price reasonable. Tub hadn't been cleaned in awhile, and hair from a previous occupant was still there. The phone was filthy, hadn't been wiped down since probably 2003. We stayed here before and liked it. Not again.
Would be great value if
The only thing that keeps this from being a good review is that the beds are rock hard and if you fall asleep on them you will be woken up (I kid you not) every 15 to 30 minutes by trains that blare their horn at least 4 times as they pass within yards of the hotel. I love falling to sleep to the sound of a train passing but this was insane.
average place to stay
cheap and fine for a stop over on the way somewhere, pool closed but that was due to the weather, not enough towels - 2 small ones for 2 guests is not enough! Everything else fine just a little run down.

Er zijn twee Motel6 in Kingman. Deze is goed. Wat moet je verder over Motel6 vertellen. Het is een soort kamperen. Maar de kamer is wel groter dan een caravan. En alles wat je nodig hebt is er. Wij hebben ons er prima vermaakt. Kingman is een doorgangsplek voor Rte66 rijders. Het geeft een beetje een camping gevoel omdat mensen een praatje met elkaar gaan maken. Waar kom je vandaan, waar ga je naar toe enz. Wij troffen er een Nederlandse groep die georganiseerd op de motor bijna aan het eind van hun trip waren. Gezellig. Het hotel wordt duidelijk geleidt. Er is toezicht op het respecteren van een anders rust. Schoon ! Kosten $ 46 ex tax. Op het terrein is een prima restaurant voor zowel take away als ontbijt.! Geen zwembad. Ruime parkeerplaatsen. Snel bereikbaar vanaf toegangswegen. WiFi kost $ 2.99 ex-tax. Al met al een prima plek
Averagely Dissapointing
This Motel 6 was in the middle of construction during our stay. Consequently, the parking lot was torn to pieces, reducing available parking. Further, wi-fi was unavailable because someone " knocked over the tower. " Our room was average in every respect; it offered no amenities like a small refrigerator but also didn't have any significant drawbacks. I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here again, but I also wouldn't refuse to do if necessary.

Excellent Value, Super Clean
This is one of the cleanest, quietest budget hotels I have stayed in. I stayed in a single room. The room was very roomy, had a small table, desk area and separate suitcase rack and vanity area. The carpet, drapes, bedding, chair coverings, towels and shower curtain all looked clean and new. There were plenty of towels furnished. Shower and toilet were clean and worked perfectly. The bed was adequately comfortable and the AC unit worked well and was quiet. There was adequate parking, although I stayed on a night where the motel was almost booked full and I couldn't park right in front of my room. There was a small internet charge but the connection was strong and fast and since I paid so little for the room a $3 charge didn't bother me that much. The lady at the front desk was smiling and friendly, but not in a chatty, annoying way. She was very fast and didn't keep any one waiting long. There appeared to be a restaurant across the parking lot although I didn't find time to eat. The sign outside said $39.99 and I paid about $45 with taxes and all. Overall I'd say this is much nicer than what I would have expected for that price and from a Motel 6. I have stayed in much more expensive places that were not this nice. Kudos to the management.
Good Value in Kingman
This is a good motel. Nothing special, but good. The room was very clean, spacious, and the bed was comfortable (the bedspread was an extraordinary design!). Others have commented on the noise from the railway. Kingman is a railway town, and yes, goods trains come through regularly, day and night, but I really can't say it affected my sleep (though I was extremely tired from a long drive). A short walk from the hotel are a few Route 66 landmarks (Mr D's Diner, museums, tourist office etc). I would recommend staying at this end of town rather than the newer east Kingman which seems to be mainly a collection of McDonalds, Dennys and other average chain burger joints. I didn't go in the small motel outdoor pool, but it looked extremely clean and inviting. These is a prison behind the property so bear that in mind if that kind of thing bothers you, though other than seeing it when driving into town, I wouldn't have known it was there. The staff on the desk weren't the friendliest, but they certainly were efficient. Everything in town seemed to close up by 9pm, so bear that in mind if you are arriving late and want to eat (though I believe Dominos will deliver to your room if you like that sort of thing). If you're bored in your room, there's a great wine bar a few minutes walk into town, called the Cellar Door which is well worth calling in to for a glass or 2 of wine or craft beer - they do nice snacks as well, and the restaurant over the road will bring food over for you to enjoy with your drink as well.
Good clean motel for the price
We were happily surprised by this Motel 6. The room was clean and smelled good. The water pressure in the shower was great! The beds were comfortable. At check out the staff gave us a bag filled with goodies. The only down side was no breakfast.
I would've had a better night's sleep in an open cast mine!!
First off, when we arrived to the room, it was surprisingly decent looking for the price we paid. We settled in and began to get ready for bed when we heard it. The train... It was around midnight when it started. We'd only been there less than an hour and our nightmare began. My first gripe, although not by far, the largest, is that there were two of us checking into the room. Usually, when a sign reads, 'Internet' you're expecting a wi-fi connection at no cost. Fat chance. We purchased a card that came with a code. Since there were two of us that both needed to get work done, online, she failed to mention that the 24 hour access card was only good for one computer. So after I got what I HAD to get done, quickly, I then handed my computer over to my colleague so he could do some of his own. I'm a firm believer that if you pay for a room with two people... two beds, that have two computers, both should be able to have access from the same room. Walking through the room we saw something that made us both gasp with hideous expressions on our faces. It wasn't until further inspecting, poking and prodding of the furry object, that we realised somehow a pair of really gray, furry, grubby old earmuffs had somehow passed unnoticed and left behind my the cleaning staff. Moving onward, we decided to go to a shop four a couple of drinks to tide us over and when we opened the fridge, it didn't work. We phoned the front desk where they assured us that someone would right up in no time... After an hour passed and we were both extremely tired, we finally phoned the desk again saying, it was fine and that we'd survive. Throughout the evening, the train woke us every 20 minutes on the f*****g dot. What there was, was a sign hanging on the check-in desk, that stated they were so proud that this train stopped and sounded at every railroad crossing and that they were proud to have one do so, nearby. Unfortunately, no one really expects 'nearby' to be in front of their room. I'd also like to mention that this sign is only visible to those that check in during the day, while no such sign is visible to the weary traveler that ends up at the after-hours check in area. Now, if this wasn't enough for you, the walls were paper thin, and you could clearly hear everything that what was going on in the nearby rooms. (You don't wanna know...). Televisions were blaring until the wee hours of the morning. When said TVs finally were turned off and the sounds of the trains seemed to slowly become white noise. (Although I highly think by this point delirium had sunken in and ANY noise was white noise.) Now, here's the kicker... It can get worse, you ask? My answer to that is only two words, my friends: Murphy's Law. At about 5:15am, I was awoken, not by a train (this time) but by a hugely annoying bright electric blue strobe light accompanied by an even more annoying alarm that left my ears ringing for a good 10 minutes. That would've been all good and well so long as there was some sort of threat and not just a false alarm that felt like a mini rave was activated in my room My FINAL opinion of this Motel? The staff were rude and condescending. God forbid you should need or ask for something because you're entirely likely to get a one two worded answer, while they're probably flipping you off behind your back. This Motel: NOT RECOMMENDED.
The staff were exceptional
I often stay at Motel 6 when travelling with my 2 dogs as they do not charge extra for this option and the rooms are very basic, but clean and comfortable. This location was easy to find off of I-40, the check-in was fast and efficient and I even received free toiletry items and doggie bags and biscuits for my four-legged companions. Sharon was gracious and accommodating, and the room was much larger than I had expected. Nothing negative to say here; this location will be a definite choice for me with any future stay in Kingman, Arizona.
Great Motel - Don't pass it up.
'Stopped unexpectedly in Kingman, AZ, and from check-in to check-out were surprisingly satisfied. The office staff were friendly & helpful, & even welcomed (& provided treats) for our dog. The office was bright & well-organized, grounds and parking lot clean, our room was quiet, looked and smelled super clean, everything worked, linens and bedding seemed quite new... and the BEDS were the most comfortable we'd slept on in 3-weeks of traveling! The walking-distance proximity to several parks (Historic Locomotive, Metcalfe, and Memorial), Museums, and Powerhouse Visitors Center were an added bonus. We will definitely stay here again, and recommend it to everyone.
Definitely a good value
Next to a restaurant and a small park a couple blocks away, it was PERFECT for a last min stop with my wife and puppies. Nothing fancy, just inexpensive and doable!
