Vacation of my life
We spent six days in the hotel with my husband. Check-in and check-out went without a hitch; the staff was really nice! The room we booked (1st floor, sea view) was excellent, clean, roomy, and cozy. We have back problems, so the quality of the mattress is always critical, and theirs was perfect (squishy but still hard enough so we don't get up and are unable to walk). Due to the hotel's facing North, the wind is quite strong, so the waves are a bit bigger around midday and early afternoon - an ideal time to go surfing. Also, the brutal heat is eased by the cool wind! :) The beach was right in our mouths, so we could just go down in swimsuits and towels. We also left our phones and things like that on the beach a few times, because their own beach is very safe, and there is always at least one waiter around the beach. The food was excellent, we got a surprise little ice cream after every main dish! ^ They have a wide selection of several kinds of food, mostly Greek and other Mediterranean dishes. The breakfast is rich and tasty, we could always find something new to try. The servers paid attention to my lactose intolerance, they were helpful and fast. It was really nice to lounge in a curtained box of sunbeds, order some snacks, and eat shrimp or tiramisu right there. Special shoutout to the servers whose kindness and professionalism made us feel truly welcome and made our stay extremely comfy. :) I don't know what hotels get the 5th star for, but in my heart, they have 5 stars! <3 :)
Peut mieux faire
Hôtel propre et personnel agréable (pour la plupart). Demi pension très correcte. Point noir sur la différence entre les clients de l'hôtel et ceux venus pour la restauration. La priorité est mise sur ces derniers. En week-end, ne cherchez pas, vous n'aurez pas de place sur la plage (mêmedi on nous l'a assuré à notre arrivée), on vous dira d'attendre une place. Nous avons donc payé un service non fait.

leuk hotel, vlak aan het strand, heel goed ontbijt, is wel gelegen ver van het centrum en gericht op strandtoerisme, vlakbij de luchthaven dus perfect voor de eerste of laatste nacht van een rondtrip op Kreta, vriendelijkheid bij incheck zou beter kunnen
Beachfront hotel with lovely restaurant
The most important value of this hotel seems to be the kindness of the staff, from concierge team to bartenders and waiters. Stayed here in the last week of August in a room with sea view and generous balcony. Cozy beds, well equipped bathroom with shower cabin - everything spotless and working flawless. Lots of storage, modern furniture. Loved the homey decorations on maritime / beach theme. The breakfast was gorgeous - really a pleasure to start the day by the beach, tasting the delicacies offered at the buffet. Took also a dinner at this restaurant and it was even more tasty than the breakfast. Still remember the taste of burrata salad and marinated anchovies. Good value for money, highly recommended.
Schönes kleines Hotel in bester Strandlage mit supertollem, sehr aufmerksamen Personal!!
Tolle Lage direkt am Strand, Strandliegen sind kostenlos, es gibt auch Getränkeservice am Strand - TOP! Man erreicht zu Fuß auch Freizeiteinrichtungen wie Jet-Ski usw. Strand sehr sauber - der Strandabschnitt wurde jeden morgen von einem Mitarbeiter gereinigt. Die Zimmer sind modern und sauber. Empfehlenswert jedenfalls eine Suite mit Meerblick - Ausblick war einfach wundervoll. Bad war von der Größe ausreichend, Größe des Zimmers insgesamt perfekt. Wir hatten nur mit Frühstück gebucht, Frühstück ist sehr gut und ausreichend - neben dem Buffet werden auch Spiegeleier und Eierspeise frisch auf Bestellung zubereitet. Das Frühstück kann auch im Strandrestaurant eingenommen werden, wunderschöner Meerblick inklusive! Wir waren auch einige Male am Nachmittag / Abend zum Essen im Restaurant, neben den traditionellen Gerichten gab es auch Sushi, das von einem eigenen Sushi-Koch zubereitet wurde. Das Essen war immer perfekt! Egal ob Sushi, Gyros, Tomahawk-Steak, Feta,... - alles war exzellent und gut abgeschmeckt! Es wird auch eine Massage angeboten, auch das war Top! Besonders möchte ich mich beim Sushi-Koch Apostolis sowie beim Service Dimitris & Dimitris am Abend sowie Zacharias und Zacharias beim Frühstück und am Nachmittag bedanken! Immer freundlich! Euer Service machte den Urlaub perfekt!

Kleines, schönes Hotel
Das kleine Hotel liegt direkt am Strand. Es ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und die Juniorsuiten mit Meerblick sind trotz des sehr kleinen Bades wunderschön. Das Hotel verfügt über ein sehr gutes Restaurant mit fantastischem Preis - Leistungsverhältnis. Auch beim Frühstück bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Sauberkeit des gesamten Hotels sowie die herzliche Freundlichkeit des Personals.
Sans hésiter
Parking juste à côté pratique pour la voiture de location. Le restaurant à l'intérieur ou à la plage : idéal avec notre petit garçon. Il rechignait à partir en balade. Nourriture très copieuse et délicieuse. Chambre spacieuse et très confortable, balcon vue mer avec le bruit du ressac quand les baies sont ouvertes. Et cerise sur le gâteau : le staff fort sympathique aux petits oignons. Un seul regret : ne pas pouvoir rester plus longtemps.
En amoureux parfait
Hôtel +++, endroit idyllique, accueil très chaleureux, le petit déjeuner de haute qualité ainsi que le repas du soir avec la spécialité local offerte. (Le raki). Ayant fait 2 Hôtel le second nous paraît bien insipide. Merci à l'équipe de l'accueil.

Lovely hotel
Very comfortable room, friendly hotel team. Food was very good and great value, we had dinner in the hotel. Beach beds available to use for free during hotel stay. Free parking onsite as well. Only saw a very small plunge pool style area, but not a problem as beach is so close. Only 15mins from airport.
Heerlijk hotel
Hartstikke leuk hotel schoon en leuk personeel. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. Lekkere bedden en goed eten. Vanuit je bed stap je zo het strand op met voldoende ligbedden. Het is wel een aanrader om een auto te huren er is genoeg te zien op Kreta.
A Great Base to Explore the Area
I haven't written a Tripadvisor review in a while but the warm welcome and quality accommodation offered by the Yianna Caravel by Checkin, Malevizi requires very positive feedback. I don't know the recent history of this hotel but there appears to have been very significant redecoration with the addition of many attractive artworks. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast which offered a cooked option and Greek / continental option. Evening meal could be taken on a beach bar and were very tasty all washed down with complimentary raki. We used the hotel as a base for a walking holiday climbing Mt Spathi and Mt Psiloritis / Ida. We also visited Knossos.
Great location and incredible value
For the price, this is a fantastic hotel. Right on the water with beautiful views, located near the highway and close to (but not in) Heraklion. Renovated recently so everything is still in good condition. The food at the restaurant was very good and also the most affordable of our entire trip in Greece. Seriously, our whole dinner was the same price as coffee and croissants at the airport. The only downside is that parking was overcrowded on the weekend when all the locals came to the beach. Given the low prices, I highly highly recommend getting an ocean-view room. Ask for the third or fourth floor because our second story view partially looked out into the restaurant.

Really enjoyed our stay at Yanna Caravel. The staff are very friendly, accommodating and welcoming. They look like they enjoy what they do. I loved the sea side restaurant and the food and atmosphere were great. Thank you for the memories
Wohlfühlhotel direkt am Strand
top Hotel direkt am Strand. Aussergewöhnlich nettes Personal. Besonders Dimitri hat uns gefallen. Das Frühstück sehr lecker und fein hergerrichtet. Sehr sehr sauber. Die Wahl der Qual wo man sich hinsetzen will, Strand, Terrasse, Überdeckt, oder Restaurant. Ein Paar mal haben wir auch unsere Abendessen eingenommen. Jedesmal sehr gut. Gute Betten, gute Kopfkissen, Guter Raumspray. Alles hat gepasst. Sogar die Preise sind sehr realistisch
Très bel endroit en famille ou entre amis
J'ai découvert cet endroit par hasard en me «perdant» j'ai été agréablement surprise par la gentillesse du personnel la propreté et la sérénité chic et cosy de cette terrasse face à la mer. Les ambiances chaleureuses les prix corrects et des produits de qualité. Je plébiscite ce bel endroit pour l'accueil et le professionnalisme.
A Special Hotel - The gold-standard in showcasing Cretan hospitality
We had an amazing and unforgettable experience here. The definitively friendly staff provided us with an incredibly efficient and flexible service. For us, it didn't matter that it wasn't peak season, largely in part to the service. The bed & breakfast model allowed the perfect balance of stress-free mornings and the independence that all-inclusive hotels do not necessarily provide. The breakfast's presented as a buffet, with a full variety to have as healthy or indulgent breakfast as you'd like. There was also a chef on hand to make omelettes and pancakes on-request! Just a half-hour bus away from Heraklion city-centre (from where you can get connections to Knossos in less than 20-mins) whilst also completely tucked away from it. Also, just €5 for a day ticket - we caught 4-5 buses in one day with the same ticket. For beach days, the hotel has its own sun-beds to use (which would be around €10 otherwise). Whilst there's also some excellent restaurants in the nearby area also worth checking out, the hotel's own restaurant (also in front of the beach by the way) are excellent in their own right. I could honestly write a dissertation on how much we enjoyed our experience, so I'll wrap things up before I overdo it. Having met during the pandemic, this was our first holiday as a couple. Crete has been a place I have been to as a child, a teenager, and now as an adult. This is the best accommodation I have had here, and really made the wait worthwhile. Despite the fact we also want to visit a variety of places around the world, after our experience with Yianna Caravel, we have every intention to return in years to come. Abbiamo cenato nel ristorante del Yianna Caravel la sera del nostro breve soggiorno ad Heraklion, abbiamo preso una grigliata di carne per due persone. La porzione era super abbondante, infatti non siamo riusciti a terminare tutto. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo.
Petit déjeuner
Nous nous sommes arrêtés par hasard pour prendre le petit déjeuner et nous sommes tombé sur un superbe buffet, un accueil chaleureux. J. imagine que les chambres doivent être du même acabit. Je vous recommande vivement cet hôtel !!

Το ξενοδοχείο βρίσκεται πάνω στην ακτή της Αμμουδάρας. Η θέα στην θάλασσα είναι φανταστική με δωμάτια καθαρά, άνετα και πρόσφατα ανακαινισμένα. Το πρωινό πλούσιο με καλής ποιότητας υλικά και το φαγητό στο εστιατόριο πάρα πολύ καλό. Το προσωπικό και ο ιδιοκτήτης ευγενέστατοι και πάντα πρόθυμοι να βοηθήσουν. Το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα!

Semplicemente perfetti!pulizia eccezionale, personale sempre gentile e cordiale, cibo sempre buono e super abbondante!Siamo stati 14 giorni in trattamento di mezza pensione, sulla Spiaggia mangiavamo qualcosa e i prezzi sono più che onesti ed il cibo sempre buono. Tutto il personale e' gentile e super disponibile dai ragazzi della reception allo chef della mattina che prepara alcune cose al momento, ai ragazzi che servono sulla spiaggia a quelli del ristorante, tutti nessuno escluso. Purtroppo il mare è stato spesso agitato per colpa dei venti ma quando è calmo anche se non è tra i più gettonati di Creta concede la possibilità di un bel bagno. Consigliatissimo

Εξαιρετικο φαγητό και σέρβις. Ο χώρος πολυ προσεγμενος, με πολύ καλή μουσική. Για οικογένειακες διακοπές και ζευγάρια. Το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα! μόλις λίγα χλμ εξω από το Ηράκλειο, δίπλα στην παραλίατηςΑμμουδαρας! Το επισκέπτομαι κάθε καλοκαίρι. Σταθερη αξια!!!!!!!!!!!!
Vraiment très bien !
Nous avons passé 9 jours dans cet hôtel et notre séjour fut parfait. Les chambres sont spacieuses et très propres. Pour nous ce fut la Junior Suite Sea View (204). Le ménage est fait tous les jours et il est très bien fait. L'insonorisation est bonne, nous n'avons eu aucune gêne en ce qui concerne les autres occupants de l'hôtel. Le Petit-déjeuner est copieux et varié et, cerise sur le gâteau, vous le prenez à quelques mètres de la mer, voire carrément les pieds dans l'eau si vous en avez envie. Le restaurant mérite également qu'on s'y attarde. La carte est variée et il y en a vraiment pour tous les goûts. Ne faites pas attention aux commentaires négatifs au sujet du restaurant, ils sont sans fondement. Les plats sont copieux et à la fin de chaque repas il y a des fruits, de la glace et un petit alcool local qui sont offerts par la maison. Là aussi, vous prenez vos repas à quelques pas de la mer. Les prix sont vraiment très très corrects. On imagine pas des prix pareils en France. La plage est agréable. Une mention spéciale pour toute l'équipe. Toujours souriants, ils se plient en quatre pour vous faire plaisir et rendre votre séjour agréable. Si nous revenons en Crète, ce sera au Yianna Caravel.
Just Fantastic
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome, we had 3 rooms and were lucky to receive and upgrade to a suite with a sea view. This family run hotel pays attention to detail throughout, the staff are all fabulous, it was so lovely to come to breakfast and be greeted so warmly every morning and whenever we saw anyone. The food at breakfast was great and all the meals we had were fantastic, other members of our family came over from their hotel and loved the place, we are all hoping to stay when we come back again. Our family meal for 9 was great. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Crete.
Buen hotel en Heraklion
Realmente muy feliz de haber conocido este hotel. Habitaciones grandes con maravillosas vistas, desayuno muy completo, buena comida en el restaurante y, lo mejor, los trabajadores del hotel, muy cercanos, amables y profesionales. El único pero, por poner alguno, el baño algo pequeño para el tamaño tan grande de la habitación. Recomendable
Le mystère dj Yianna Restaurant
Nous ne pouvons rien dire sur l'hôtel puisque nous n'y avons pas séjourné mais en revanche nous avons fait la cruelle erreur de manger au restaurant. Est-ce vraiment du poulet qui nous a été servi ? Difficile à dire... Plutôt une sorte de viande reconstituée dans laquelle on n'aurait même pas pris la peine d'ajouter quelques arômes artificiels de poulet... Une sorte de pâte étrange, caoutchouteuse, informe, insipide et généreusement servie genre 4 poulets pour le prix d'un. Nous avons un temps pensé à du poulet nourri aux hormones mais le personnel s'en est défendu. Le mystère restera donc entier et le Yianna Restaurant aura au moins eu le mérite de nous faire découvrir une viande que nous ne connaissions pas jusqu'alors.

Poor Covid19 measures.
We did not stay here but we have done so in previous years and it was exceptional. Today we just came for lunch so this comment relates only to this experience. My low score is due to the lack of Covid19 hygiene amongst staff. Masks worn permanently around the chin, inside or outside, whilst serving customers is not acceptable at present. I wear my mask when inside the restaurant to protect you and your livelihoods. Why do you care so little about yourselves, your fellow citizens or your customers?
Erwartungen übertroffen
Kleines und sehr feines Hotel und perfekt für Urlauber, die Ruhe suchen und keine Bettenburgen mögen. Wir waren 12 Tage hier und es hat uns ausgezeichnet gefallen. Wir hatten eine geschmackvoll eingerichtete und geräumige Junior Suite in der 3. Etage - man blickt beim Betreten des Zimmers schon auf's smaragdgrüne Meer. Traumhaft! Klimaanlage, Kühlschrank und Mückenstecker zur Gratis-Nutzung vorhanden. Die direkte Strandlage ist super und man vermisst somit auch keinen Pool. Die Strandliegen können kostenlos genutzt werden, und es gibt sogar einen Kellner für den Strand. Alle Mitarbeiter freundlich und zuvorkommend. W-Lan sowohl im Zimmer, als auch im Restaurant und auch am Strand sehr gut. Wir haben nur Frühstück gebucht und sind jeden Abend in einer der vielen Tavernen essen gegangen. Einmal haben wir auch im Hotel á la carte gegessen und es schmeckte super. Unglaublich, was es dazu als kostenlosen Nachtisch gab! Das Frühstücksbuffet war ausreichend, lecker und mit allem ausgestattet. Wegen Corona durfte man sich nicht selbst bedienen, das war aber kein Problem: man hat einfach gesagt, was und wie viel man will. Hier möchte ich besonders die zuvorkommende und herzliche Dana erwähnen.
Best sunbeds on this beach
Nice little hotel with extra friendly hotel staff. Restaurants is also frequently visited by locals which is always a good sign for quality and service. Sunbeds are free for use as long as you purchase your drinks from them. We checked the complete beach and there is no better spot than this!
Πολύ καλή επιλογή για το Ηράκλειο Κρήτης
Μείναμε 3 βράδια στο ξενοδοχείο τον Αύγουστο του 2020. Θετικά + Πολύ όμορφο ξενοδοχείο κυριολεκτικά δίπλα στην θάλασσα. + Προσεγμένα δωμάτια με όμορφο design και κάποια από αυτά με θέα στην θάλασσα. + Η παραλία Αμμουδάρα είναι πολύ όμορφη, κατάλληλη για παιδιά και για θαλάσσια sports. + Όμορφες ομπρέλες και ξαπλώστρες δωρεάν για όλους. + Δυνατότητα παραγγελίας φαγητού στην παραλία. + Καλό μενού φαγητού. + Καλό πρωινό με κάποια τοπικά προϊόντα και δωρεάν espresso! Είναι το πρώτο ξενοδοχείο που μένουμε και παρέχει δωρεάν espresso στο πρωινό. Μπράβο για αυτό. - Ευγενικό και φιλόξενο προσωπικό. Αρνητικά - Είναι το πρώτο ξενοδοχείο που επισκεφτήκαμε όπου ο καθαρισμός δωματίου γίνεται όχι κάθε μέρα, αλλά κάθε 2 μέρες! - Εμείς μείναμε 3 βράδια. Την δεύτερη μέρα που έπρεπε να καθαριστεί το δωμάτιο μας, η καθαρίστρια ήρθε και μας ξύπνησε στις 9:00 το πρωί, χωρίς να έχουμε κρεμάσει την ειδοποίηση " Παρακαλώ καθαρίστε το δωμάτιο μας ". Της είπα ότι κοιμόμαστε και μας είπε ότι θα περάσει αργότερα. Φύγαμε από το δωμάτιο στις 12:30 το πρωί και κρεμάσαμε την ειδοποίηση, " Παρακαλώ καθαρίστε το δωμάτιο ". Επιστρέψαμε το βράδυ και το δωμάτιο δεν είχε καθαριστεί. Η reception μας είπε ότι η καθαρίστριες σχολάνε στις 15:30, αλλά δεν είχαν κάποια εξήγηση γιατί το δωμάτιο δεν καθαρίστηκε από τις 12:30 ως τις 15:30. Επίσης δεν ακούσαμε συγγνώμη. Το αποτέλεσμα ήταν να μείνουμε 3 μέρες και το δωμάτιο μας να μην καθαριστεί ούτε μία φορά. - Το ξενοδοχείο δεν έχει ιδιωτικό χώρο parking μόνο για τους ενοίκους. Υπάρχει μια αλάνα δίπλα στην παραλία για όλους τους επισκέπτες της παραλίας. Το αποτέλεσμα είναι ότι σε μέρες και ώρες αιχμής, μπορεί να μην βρεις να παρκάρεις το αυτοκίνητό σου και να ταλαιπωρηθείς στους γύρω δρόμους. - Η αλάνα έχει χώμα με αποτέλεσμα τα οχήματα να γίνονται χάλια μετά από λίγες ώρες παραμονής εκεί.

Εκπληκτικός χώρος με ανετο παρκινγκ. Άριστο επίπεδο καθαριότητας, πολύ άνετα δωμάτια, φανταστική κουζίνα με υψηλής ποιότητας πρώτες υλες!!! Διεύθυνση και προσωπικό με επαγγελματισμό συμπληρώνουν την άριστη αυτή επιλογή για αξέχαστες διακοπές.
Relax e buon cibo
Una settimana con mia moglie per rilassarsi da questo anno particolare. Hotel perfetto nella pulizia, nel design delle camere, il personale sempre cortese e preciso mai invadente. Posizione eccezionale e l l'attrezzatura della spiaggia come lettini relax di ottima categoria e ombra per chi non ama fare la lucertola! Zona ventilata che permette di godere di un ottimo clima senza soffrire caldo e afa. Il cibo infine sempre buono a prezzi corretti. Un ottima location per trascorrere dei giorni in perfetto relax per chi si vuole riposare. Bravi e grazie !
Non poteva andarci meglio di così
Inizialmente dovevamo andare in un altro hotel a Malia, ma per via del covid19 ci hanno spostato allo Yianna Caravel: la fortuna più grande che ci sia mai capitata. Il personale è sempre gentile e disponibile, e nonostante il limite della lingua diversa abbiamo instaurato un buon rapporto con lo staff. La colazione è molto varia, dolce e salato. Noi avevamo solo la colazione inclusa ma qualche volta ci siamo fermati a pranzo e a cena e la qualità è sempre stata ottima, anche rispetto ad altri ristoranti del centro di Heraklion. Per nostra fortuna avevamo una camera con vista sul mare, davvero mozzafiato. Nelle camere non manca davvero nulla, shampoo, sapone, crema per il corpo, ciabatte, e chi più ne ha più ne metta. Addirittura abbiamo chiesto se avessero delle mollette per stendere i panni e dato che non le avevano le sono andate a comprare e il giorno dopo ce le siamo trovate in camera. Avendo girato per questa settimana tutta Creta ci siamo goduti poco la fortuna della spiaggia direttamente dinanzi all'hotel, con la possibilità addirittura di scegliere il tipo di sdraio. Non credo di essermi mai trovato meglio in un hotel, spero davvero di ritornarci presto.
Fred og ro på superhotel
Når man ikke ønsker at holde ferie i de værste turistcentre, så er dette hotel et fund. Der er 6 - 7 km til centrum af Heraklion, men bybusserne stopper blot 300 meter fra hotellet, og fra centrum går der busser til det meste af Kreta, hvis man da ikke ønsker at køre selv. Vi blev mødt af en receptionist, der var utrolig venlig og imødekommende, og det viste sig at gælde alt personale. Super godt værelse, vi havde så valgt altan med havudsigt, den modsatte side havde nok mere sol. Morgenmaden var af international standard, hvor du selv kunne vælge, hvilken form for æg, du ville have.
Urlaub am Meer
Unser letzter Tag im Yianna Caravel, wir waren 14 Tage hier und würden gerne länger bleiben. Wir haben eine Juniore Suite mit Meerblick gebucht und waren 3 Nächte im Erdgeschoß mit direktem Zugang zum Restaurant und Meer untergebracht und sind danach in die erste Etage umgezogen. Die Zimmer sind modern, mit ebenerdiger Dusche, Kühlschrank und leiser Klimaanlage ausgestattet. Safe gibt es an der Rezeption. Wir hatten zwei Fernsehgerät im Zimmer, haben diese nicht genutzt. Alle Mitarbeiter sind super freundlich. Das Frühstück mit Omelett, frischen Oliven, griechischen Jogurt, Wurst, Käse, Honig und Gebäck haben wir im Außenbereich eingenommen. Wir haben nur Frühstück gebucht, aber ziemlich oft auch am Abend im Hotel gegessen, sehr zu empfehlen. Wir hatten die 14 Tage einen Mietwagen und waren viel unterwegs, Kreta sollte man nicht nur zum Baden besuchen. Mit den Liegen am Strand mit dicker Matratze, Sitzsäcken und Liegestühlen kann man auch entspannt chillen. Bei starken Wind kann man direkt am Hotel Surfuntensilien ausleihen. In 5 Minuten zu Fuß ist man an der Haltestelle und kann mit dem Bus nach Heraklion fahren. Vielen Dank für 14 Tage griechischer Gastfreundlichkeit.
Great food at the restaurant
The terrase is on the beach. The food is very tasty, the orders are brought quickly, the staff is very, very nice. We did not expect to find such good service away from the city. We would definitely come back for the lovely beach and restaurant
Ottima struttura
Struttura curata nei dettagli. Camera ampia, pulitissima, bella, comoda e dotata di tutti i comfort. Colazione ottima. Posizione ideale per visitare Cnosso e il museo di Heraclio. Hotel situato sul mare. Si può cenare sulla riva con piatti molto buoni e genuini a prezzo contenuto.
Bellissima settimana di relax
Ho soggiornato una settimana e direi che il posto è splendido. Camere grandi, confortevoli e arredate con gusto, curate e pulite bene. La mia camera aveva anche due terrazzini con chaise longues, tavolino, sedie. La cosa che mi ha colpito è che ai piani, nei corridoi e nelle camere c'era sempre un ottimo profumo. Per raggiungere la spiaggia basta in pratica attraversare la strada, comodissimo! La spiaggia è attrezzata con Gazebo, materassi e lettini imbottiti molto confortevoli! Servizio in spiaggia sempre presente e veloce. Per quanto riguarda la mezza pensione (formula che conviene se si è senza auto) devo dire che il cibo è sempre stato ottimo e sufficiente ed il personale molto gentile (saluti a Dana e Michele 😊) La sera servono antipasto, insalatona, portata principale e dessert. Questo tratto di spiaggia è sempre molto ventilato ed il mare particolarmente mosso, consiglio scarpine di gomma perché entrare in acqua mossa con un fondale di ciottoli per me era difficoltoso! Punti a sfavore: la prima colazione che potrebbe essere migliorata. Il cibo esposto davvero non invogliava, non c'era grande scelta, mancavano le uova strapazzate, i dolci non erano un granchè. Il paesaggio alla sinistra della struttura deturpato dalla presenza di ciminiere in funzione. Tutto il resto è stato ok. Lo consiglio assolutamente se si è in cerca di relax e tranquillità.

Familie ferie 4 personer med 2 voksne / store børn 16 og 18 år. Et mindre hotel (derfor valgte vi det) som ligger lige ud til stranden. Meget venligt og kundeorienteret personale. Rent hotel og acceptabel morgenmad. Hotellet ligge som det sidste af striben af strandhoteller så det ikke overrendt af turister. Super hotel hvis man bare vil slappe af og nyde sol og strand med super service ved stranden. God restauration på hotellet. Bus ind til Heraklion går lige oppe ved vejen som kun er ca. 200-300 meter væk fra hotellet Strand egner sig ikke til små børn da det hurtigt bliver dybt og bølger. Kan varmt anbefales.

συνολικά εξαιρετική εμπειρία. πάρα πολύ όμορφα ευρύχωρα δωμάτια με θέα στη θάλασσα. το προσωπικό πάντα ευγενικό και πρόθυμο να εξυπηρετήσει. αυτό που ξεχωρίζει είναι το φαγητό. απόλαυσα ότι και εάν δοκίμασα.

Gaan dineren in dit hotel, restaurant. svice vriendelijk, gedienstig, hulpvaardig. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding is ok. hadden 2 voorgerechten en hoofdschotels met 1 / 2 liter witte wijn voor 41€. Graviera saganaki : goede presentatie en lekker, garides met ouzo: beetje droog, wat (ouzo) saus zou het beter maken, redelijk pikant; schnitzel a la creme was lekker en ook de chicken filet met white wine was ok. Alleen als je echt wil scoren als restaurant maak je gebruik van verse aardappelen voor de fritten en puree. Witte wijn was goed als huiswijn. Prie / quality was ok. 41€ for 2 starters and 2 main dishes and 1 / 2 liter white wine. dishes tastull but please use fresh potatoes for the french fries and mashed potatoes. Will put up your level. Good choice of white wine for the house wine. friendly helpfull staff. We live in Amoudara, so we always look around for a nice restaurant.
Hotel with good amenities, great food, helpful staff and beautiful views
We had a great and memorable stay at Yianna Caravel. The rooms are bright and clean and the balcony had tables and chairs, and also lounger seats fo look at the beautiful views of the beach and the nature reserve to the west of us. The food is wonderful. We loved the healthy and Cretan food choices given in the breakfast buffet, particularly the home-made halva. Dinner was amazing every night, particularly the fish dishes. We loved the grilled bream. It was easy to catch the bus to Heraklion and the bus stop was close. Staff were helpful and kind.

Επισκεπτήκαμε το εστιατόριο του ξενοδοχείου και πραγματικά εντυπωσιαστήκαμε! Εξαιρετικό το φαγητό, πολύ προσεγμένος ο χώρος μέχρι και στην τελευταία λεπτομέρεια! Θερμά συγχαρητήρια στους ιδιοκτήτες οι οποίοι είναι ευγενέστατοι και εξαιρετικά φιλόξενοι!
Brilliant Stay
We stayed here for 5 nights as part of a work trip. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious and a fantastic location right on the beach with plenty of loungers. The restaurant was brilliant, the food was really tasty and would recommend it! We had a lovely stay. Thank you
Wonderful lunch
Stumbled across this lovely bar whilst exploring Ammoudara beach from our cruise ship. Wonderful, tasty fresh food at excellent prices and friendly service. Highly recommended, especially the giant Greek salad.

Μπροστά ακριβώς στην θάλασσα σε απόσταση περίπου 15λεπτά από το Ηράκλειο στην περιοχή Αμουδαρα βρίσκεται το εν λόγο ξενοδοχείο. Πρόσφατα ανακαινισμένο με πολύ καλή επιλογή υλικών, προφέρει μια εξαιρετική επιλογή για ξεκούραση και ηρεμία. Ευγενικό προσωπικό πολύ καλή κουζίνα για φαγητό... δοκιμάστε το.
Super hotel!
Bij aankomst zeer gastvrij ontvangen, waarbij het welkomstdrankjes uiteraard niet mocht ontbreken! Kamer was schoon, ruim, goed ingedeeld en voorzien van een schoon / groot balkon met zitje. Lekker ontbijt, elke ochtend dezelfde keuzes qua soort eten, maar dat is door de kwaliteit niet erg. Strand is schoon en voorzien van lekker ligbedden die goed worden onderhouden door de " beachboy ". Let wel op, want deze bedden kunnen ook door personen worden gebruikt die niet ik het hotel verblijven! Menukaart van het restaurant is niet uitgebreid, maar kwaliteit van het eten is wederom uitstekend! Mocht je uitgekeken zijn op de kaart, raden wij om een wandeling van ongeveer 10 minuutjes te maken. Je komt dan aan bij de hoofdstraat waar diverse restaurantjes en barretjes zitten. Een supermarktje is te vinden op een kleine 5 minuutjes lopen vanaf het hotel. Tip: Zelf hebben wij een auto gehuurd, waarmee wij 1 dag hebben rondgereden. 's Ochtends vertrokken door de bergen waarbij je langs diverse dorpjes komt. (waar je goedkoop en lekker kunt eten) De terugreis zijn wij via de kustlijn en gedeeltelijk door de bergen gereden. Mocht je het hele eiland willen zien, dan raden wij het aan om een auto te huren voor 2 à 3 dagen.

Een een woord geweldig. Wat een zorgzaamheid, van al het personeel. Het was een warm bad. Dank jullie wel. Mooie plek aan het strand en een prachtig uitzicht. We komen zeker terug. Een heerlijk ontbijt. En super cake.
Peace and Quiet
We were recommended this hotel by a travel agent in Northern Ireland. A clean, child free, boutique hotel right on the beach. This hotel exceeded our expectations on all levels - great staff, great food, great location and great rooms. The hotel is a few hundred yards from the main road from where you can catch local buses into Heraklion centre (6) and also through to Heraklion airport (1) - all day tickets for 5 Euros. We loved it and highly recommend you stay here.
Watch out!
I stayed at this hotel for my birthday treat. It turned out they deliberately gave me incorrect room type. Although I booked a junior suite but given a double room. Unfortunate situation was I only realised it on a day before checkout day. (I book this hotel more than 6months ago) I still compliant it but their response was priceless " you are alone and why do you need a suite? " Then they offered to open a joining room door but I declined as I was going to check out next day. Now I received response from my travel agent and the hotel told the agent I had a junior suite! Big liar!!
Klasse und unprofessionell
Wir wurden von der Rezeption Georgia sehr herzlich in Empfang genommen. Sie spricht gut Deutsch und hat uns alles exakt erklärt und gezeigt. Beim Frühstück hatte man viele Möglichkeiten sich zu bedienen, die man mit einem wunderschönen Meerblick geniessen konnte. Der Strand war direkt vor Ort, wenige Minuten entfernt vom Hotel. Der Service und das Essen war einfach super!! Neben dem Hotel waren auch weitere Hotels an denen man, auch draussen Essen konnte. Nach sieben wunderschönen Tagen, hatten wir Probleme mit der Zahlung. Das Geld was wir einbezahlt hatten, war nie beim Hotel angekommen. Wir erhielten von Booking eine Kostenfreie Stornierung, trotz der Stornierung liess uns das Personal nicht gehen, bevor wir gezahlt hätten. Sie haben die Polizei eingeschaltet und uns gedroht, wenn wir nicht zahlen würden, würden wir die restlichen Tage im Gefängnis verbringen müssen. Ich versuchte dem Manager und der Rezeption zu erklären, das unsere Daten an dritt Personen weiter gegeben wurde, was sie nicht verstehen wollten und fast auf mich los kamen. Wir wurden 4h vom Hotel aufgehalten, sie liessen uns nicht gehen bevor wir etwas unterschrieben hätten. Ich habe ein Taxi bestellt, was dann vom Personal weggeschickt wurde. Nachdem ich das Blatt später trotzdem Unterschrieben hatte, liess uns das Hotel gehen. Wir erhielten weitere bedrohliche Anrufe, nachdem Aufenthalt. Leider kann ich dieses Hotel nie wieder betreten, wenn dieser Vorfall nicht gewesen wäre, wäre ich liebend gern wieder gegangen. Sehr schade!!
Bit Of a Gem!
Lovely, newly completed boutique hotel in ideal setting right on the beach with lots of day beds and bean bags and waiter service from the hotel. We had a spacious, sea view room as requested, with big comfy bed and small but efficient fridge, good housekeeping so spotlessly clean, the addition of tea / coffee making facilities & beach towels would have been good but did not detract from our stay. They serve a hearty breakfast with good choice of food and we ate in the restaurant one evening, the food was excellent food plus fantastic Cretan wine with a good selection of beers also. The staff throughout the hotel were attentive and super friendly and made our four day break pretty much perfect. All in all it was great value for money!
Great hotel with amazing staff
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. They've helped us with everything we needed. The hotel is also recently renovated so everythingia pretty much brand new. The room is tastefully decorated and it was cleaned spotlessly everyday. The level of service is high up there. I would say this resort definitely has a potential to be a 5 star. The only thing lacking is a pool but it is right in front of the beach so Im not complaining :) Would recommend this hotel to everyone!

Πραγματοποιησαμε την επίσκεψη μας στα μέσα Απριλίου. Το ξενοδοχείο είναι Υπέροχο!!!Εξαιρετικό το μέρος, δίπλα ακριβώς από το κύμα!Όλα ήταν ολοκαίνουργια και πεντακάθαρα!Το προσωπικό ήταν μοναδικό!!Τις ημέρες που μείναμε νιώσαμε την μοναδική τους φιλοξενία!Πάντα ευδιάθετοι, εξυπηρετικοί και χαμογελαστοί!!! Χαρακτηριστικο του yianna caravel είναι το μεράκι με το οποίο έχει διαμορφωθεί ο χώρος και η ηρεμία που σου προσφέρεται. Είναι ιδανικό για όσους θέλουν να απολαύσουν ήρεμες διακοπές δίπλα στο κύμα μέσα σε ένα πολύ όμορφο περιβάλλον και δίπλα σε ξεχωριστούς ανθρώπους!!!
Gemoedelijk, vakantie gevoel!!!
Bij aankomst konden we gelijk s-ochtends de kamer al in, zeezicht! Alles vernieuwd en schoon. De familie die het restaurant en de beachbar runt zijn zeer harde werkers en toch nog tijd om je een goed gevoel te geven dat je op vakantie bent. daar het kleinschalig is, ook de panden er naast, is er rust! al met al zeker voor herhaling vatbaar
Top vakantie
Schone en luxe kamers, aardig personeel, goed en lekker ontbijt, leuke restaurantjes aan de grote weg. Alleen niet kunnen zwemmen in de zee.. gelukkig was er na 100 meter lopen over het strand een groot zwembad met bar.

Останавливались в этом отеле на 10 дней во второй половине июля 2017 года. Бронировали Junior suite без питания. Всё точно, как на картинках! Очень удивлены. Вид на море, причем перила балкона на уровне окон номера из стека без каких-либо перегородок! За это дизайнеру респект) В номере при желании могут разместиться вполне комфортно 4 взрослых, есть перегородка между кроватью и двумя диванчиками, два телевизора, холодильник, утюг, фен. Ванная комната с душевой, все очень продуманно и стильно. Всего на момент нашего пребывания было 20 номеров, два этажа (третий в проекте вроде). Очень приветливые люди на ресепшн. Рядом есть три таверны (кафе), где можно и позавтракать, и пообедать, и поужинать, и просто выпить кофе / вино / сок и поесть мороженое. Постояльцам отеля можно бесплатно пользоваться лежаками и зонтиками. До самого пляжа метров 10-15, до моря около 50. Просыпаться с видом на это шикарное море - бесценно! Рекомендую отель к посещению как молодым людям, для которых важен комфорт, а не анимация и " all inclusive ". Отель очень приятный, стильный. Детей в отеле нет, но это не спасёт от кучи семей с разным подходом к воспитанию и правилам приличия на пляже. Но это уже отдельная история) т. к. пляжи в Греции в основном муниципальные.

מלון בוטיק נהדר על המים.. אבל ממש על החוף.. חדרים מפנקים ביותר. סוויטה חמימה.. מרוהט יפה מאוד.. נוח.. מרפסת לים.. בקיצור מלון מפנק. רומנטי.. תענוג אמיתי. מתחת למלון טברנה מעולה נקי טעים וזול.. מומלץ. ממוקם באמדורה כ15 דקות נסיעה מהרקליון. מלון למבוגרים בלבד. לא זול בכלל.. אבל מומלץ ביותר.
Bon hôtel
J'ai eu l'agréable surprise d'être surclassée en arrivant et j'ai donc eu une suite avec vue sur mer, au prix d'une chambre double vue sur montagne. L'hôtel est directement sur la plage, avec transats disponibles et bar de l'hôtel tout à côté. L'hôtel possède un resto géré indépendamment où la cuisine n'est pas très bonne mais est efficace lorsqu'on n'a pas envie de sortir en ville pour manger. Par contre, au niveau de l'endroit il n'y a pas de piscine, et la baie d'Héraklion n'est pas très jolie de ce côté, il y a le port et des cheminées d'usine pas très loin.

De kamers zijn prachtig en verzorgd, worden elke dag netjes bijgehouden! Helaas is de zee bij het hotel heel wild, voor rustig dobberen zijn we andere plekjes gaan opzoeken. Ook het ontbijt was top, altijd snel en verzorgd. Vriendelijke mensen!
Pssstttt! Geheimtipp
Das Hotel wird über Booking.com als nur für adults angegeben, weist sich selbst jedoch als familienfreundlich aus. Wir waren skeptisch. Es ist jedoch super gewesen. Egal ob mit Kindern oder ohne, es ist still und ein bisschen versteckt. Man fällt vom Zimmer geradezu an den Strand. Viele Einheimische kommen am Wochenende. Wir fanden es super. Service nett. Preis-Leistung stimmt auch.
Отличный отель на берегу моря
Отель совсем новый, расположен очень удачно, первая береговая линия со своим пляжем, недалеко от Ираклиона, но в то же время не слишком много туристов. Пляж чистый, море тоже, всегда можно найти свободные лежаки, персонал приветливый, отлично говорит на английском, немного на русском. В 5 минутах ходьбы от отеля главная дорога с магазинами, ресторанами и автобусными остановками, можно достаточно быстро доехать до центра города на автобусе. Также на экскурсии и до аэророрта ехать ближе, чем из других мест. Номера очень красивые (брали с видом на море), просторные и с большой лоджией, кондиционер работал отлично, кровать удобная. Единственный минус - маленький холодильник. Завтраки простые: яйца, кофе, бутерброды и фрукты. Единственный минус - нет бассейна, однако он с лихвой компенсируется близостью к морю. Остались в полном восторге и советуем другим.
Ένα υπέροχο boutique ξενοδοχείο πάνω στην αμμουδιά!!!!
Καταπληκτικό εκ θεμελίων ανακαινισμένο boutique ξενοδοχείο πάνω στην απέραντη αμμουδιά της Αμμουδάρας. Ο ιδιοκτήτης και το προσωπικό ευγενέστατοι, φιλόξενοι και φιλικοί. Είχες την αίσθηση ότι επισκέπτεσαι φίλους!!! Το δωμάτιο μας ολοκαίνουργιο, πεντακάθαρο, ευρύχωρο και καλόγουστο. Το μπάνιο minimal και άνετο. Για το καλωσόρισμα ένα καλάθι από φρέσκα φρούτα. Ξαπλωμένος στο κρεββάτι είχες θέα στο απέραντο γαλάζιο. Χωρίς επιπλέον επιβάρυνση είχαμε late check out αργά το απόγευμα. Παροχή δωρεάν ομπρέλες και ξαπλώστρες. Υπάρχει χώρος στάθμευσης για αυτοκίνητα. Η 1η μου επιλογή στην Αμμουδάρα!!!!!. Το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα!!!
