Horrible
We went to this place for takeout on Fathers Day. All of their food is frozen now. The guy running the register completely messed up our order. We ordered 2 factory specials, 2 cheeseburgers, 3 orders of fries and a banquet burger. I told him that the factory specials were medium drinks and I wanted 2 small drinks. Well what we got was 4 small drinks, 3 orders of fries, a banquet burger and the 2 factory specials. It completely confused him that I wanted 2 cheeseburgers with fries. He didn't know how to punch that in. Then he repeatedly kept on telling me that I didn't want 2 additional drinks because I was getting 2 with the factory specials. I told him I said I want 2 cheeseburgers with fries and a drink for my kids. He still didn't understand. The guy behind the till didn't confirm the order before he put it through. So I'm watching the guy put the fries in with our order I kept on telling him that there should be more fries than what you're giving me. He says yeah yeah they're all there. So we get home. My son and I were left without fries. The guy put on so much pickles that the juice completely destroyed the buns. All we had was mush. Next time I'm going to 5 guys. They won't be thrown off by 2 cheeseburgers and 3 orders of fries. This place is terrible and I'm not returning. If I wanted frozen fried garbage I'd go to A & W. Or something like that. At least there they understand what I wanted
Used to be awesome??!
Not sure what happened to their burgers but they went for some of the best burgers in Winnipeg to frozen out of the box patties?? My girlfriend tossed her burger to the dog and he spit it on the floor. Eventually he ate his also. The Greek salad and fries were ok. But how can you screw that up?
Never had a bad experience with this place
My family and I have been ordering take out from Burger Factory since I was probably 10 or younger. We love the food from there, and you definitely get a good amount of food for your money. This review is from when I went here with with my friend for some dine in around February. My friend had gotten the Factory Special and some onion rings, I had my usual, chicken nuggets and fries. As always, the food was craving satiating and filling. I know I've been there after to do some to-go orders for my parents and for me, but I hardly ever dine in, and while the restaurant isn't fancy, it's a nice friendly place with friendly staff, where you can get a decent amount of food for a good price. And during those to-go orders, I did notice them ensure that customers followed COVID protocols, while the staff sanitized the space and followed protocols as well Writing this review has me wanting their fries, lol. Probably gonna stop there tomorrow or some time soon then for some.
decent burger & fries, fast service!
went for a fast lunch, had cheeseburger, fries & gravy. Was alright, typical fast food quality. Burgers are flame grilled.
Been going for 39 years... and counting
I was first introduced to this location in 1981, about a year after it first opened. Great value, some of the best burgers ever. Can add your customized toppings any way you want. Super friendly staff and owner. I moved away from Winnipeg over 9 years ago but every time I return for a visit I go out of my way to come here. Have ordered the " Banquet Burger " EVERY time, last visit I tried the " Steakhouse Burger " - very similar but 6 oz vs 4 oz - my new " go to " order here

Now that's a burger
Whereas the trend in my adopted home-town of Ottawa seems to be " gourmet " burgers with equally pretentious prices, this place is an old fashioned burger and fries joint that equally puts to shame both gastropubs and mass production fast food franchises. Using a coupon from valpak (a very Winnipeg-thing, I'm assured), we got 2 banquet burgers, fries and a drink for around $13. Trust me, that's a LOT of food. Personally, I'd recommend skipping the bacon and cheese of the banquet burger and just load up on the unlimited toppings on a straight burger, so as to better savour the flame grilled goodness of the patty. Fries were awesome too. Love that caramelized onions is a topping option. If they would only add hot peppers to that mix, you'd have burger perfection. As it stands, best burger I've had in years.
Fantastic burgers!
The Burger Factory on Regent Ave has got it right when it comes to serving fresh tasty burgers. From the bun to the toppings, everything tastes great. The banquet burger is large and very filling. Be careful when ordering the fries, as the portions are huge! Now I have had and compared many other burger stops in the city, and I must say that the Burger Factory knows how to satisfy ones cravings, as I have been and will continue to be a repeat customer for many years to come!
Good food, great service
I work in the area, so I pop into The Burger Factory from time to time. Everything I've tried on the menu has been delicious, and everyone is always happy and friendly. The chicken souvlaki pita is incredible!
Heated up frozen food
Tried for the first time and won't be coming back. The place was empty and dirty. Ordered burger and onion rings. Frozen hamburger patty came out of a box. Onion rings came out of small pre packaged bag. Just seemed very cheap and lack of effort into food. Actually felt sick later after eating the meal.
Great Burgers and fresh fries
This restaurant always offers fresh fries and perfectly grilled burgers. They have lots of condiments to put on to the burger. They are a large size, so one never leaves hungry. If one wants coffee, they always brew a fresh pot. Staff is very friendly and seem happy to serve you. A great place for lunch.
Great Burgers at a reasonable cost!
Large burgers grilled to order. You get to choose from a large selection of toppings. Friendly staff! Have a great lunch or dinner (cheeseburger, fries and a drink for under $12). Favorite lunch spot!
the best gyro sandwich this side of Greece
We know if we are in a mood for a gyro sandwich that there is one place to consider as the top contender for that sandwich. The burger factory makes an incomparable gyro due mainly to the proprietors absolutely excellent tzatziki sauce, easily the best one we have ever tasted. Their burgers and fries are very good but to me the gyro stands out as their best offering. Try it, you'll like it.
Good burgers
Theres a joke that burger factory is world famous. Well at least in our family it is. I love this place, the burgers are delicious
Its dirty
Bathroom absolutely filthy along with the floors. Had I seen this before eating, I would have left. The burger itself was nothing special to set it apart from a run of the mill burger. The patty seemed to taste like the average store bought frozen patty. The bun not toasted or anything special. The toppings were average. They seemed like nice people but unfortunately missed the mark with me on several levels.
Huge custom made burgers
I've been to this place many times over the years & have never had a bad experience. The burgers are cooked right in front of you so there's no question as to freshness. The burgers are more than big enough to feed the hungriest guy & you get to pick the toppings and amounts as you like. The prices are a little high but you do get what you pay for, so you can't complain too much. Over all, it's hard to beat
Not that great
Winnipeg has a long-standing tradition of Greek-owned burger joints that have amazing burgers with seasoned patties, lettuce, tomato, sauce and chili (usually called a Fat Boy) along with homemade fries. They also always have things like souvlaki pitas and gyros. The Burger Factory is halfway there, and serves excellent fries with an ok burger (kind of tasteless) and good souvlaki. If you're out near Kildonan Place, this place is certainly better than any regular fast food chain. But if you have the time, head to someplace like George's, VJ's, Superboy's, Junior's or GBF.
Good burger, fries only so so
This is the place to go if you want to avoid 'assembly line' burgers. When the burger is ready, you choose what toppings and condiments you would like on board. They are large and tasty, well worth trying. The fries, by comparison, are rather blah unassuming pieces of potato, just not up to the standards of the Gyros (pronounced YEEROS) and burgers. They make a very good Gyro, and the tzatziki sauce is above average.
