About Taichung Localized Free Walking Tour
The free tour of Taichung city includes well-known attractions as well as the lesser known urban legend - it is the perfect introduction to this amazing city for tourists, students and locals alike. It runs not every day, please check the google form (http:// se. piee. pw / F6EN8). The walking tour will start at 9 am from the Taichung train station (meeting point: " BIG BOY " installation art) This tour of Taichung city downtown is approximately 3 hours in length, and is always led by native Taiwanese! We run in all weather. They are in the English language. Booking is not necessary. Tips are invited by the guide at the end, but you will never be pressured to tip. What a Wonderful Tour
Our tour guide, Arthur, claimed that Taichung is not much of a traveling city, but he proved quite the opposite. His stories brought the city to life. The food stops along the way will make you wish your stomach was much larger. The walking is not too strenuous, and Arthur is very consicous of making sure you get a good amount of rest. I highly recommend you explore Taichung with Arthur! It was a wonderful tour!
Rainy days with Arthur
Arthur was super funny and incredibly thoughtful throughout the entire tour. He likes to do a very personalized tour, and showed us more of the hidden history of Taichung and local gems. He also had many interesting recommendations for places to visit in Taipei and Tainan as well. My friends and I were really interested in Taiwanese foods and specialties which was perfect since Arthur is a huge foodie. We ate a massive load of pastries and delicious pork buns throughout the entire tour. Definitely would recommend this tour!
Wonderful tour by Arthur!
A fun walking tour, filled with Taiwanese history (overall & local), free food / drink / pastry samples, and beautiful architecture. My 2 friends and I were the only ones on the tour, so it was essentially a private tour! We did this tour on a rainy day, and it was still quite enjoyable. Arthur is a local expert and an engaging speaker with amazing English skills. I would highly recommend this tour to English speakers of any age, interested in learning about Taichung and sampling local cuisine.
