Great 1st experience
Our first time was super. Very friendly people working hard and serving great food. The meat was perfect, the sauce excellent. We will be back for sure!
Horrible
My first experience was horrible... I try to support black own business but my experience makes me not want to. My order was wrong... asked for sauce on the side get my food n its full of sauce on my ribs... got mack n cheese for my side... I got fries and beans never in my adult life seen a order so messed up. Signed never going back
So inviting with yummy food
It's nothing fancy. We stopped in on the way to Galena and Apple River Creek. What a gem in the corner next to a gas station. The place looks humble yet appears to have lots of regulars. We were recommended for Shoboat with fries which was so tasty. Fries were crispy wit bbq sauce on top. They are specialized in pork bbq and sausages. We got to talk with a young lady who explained that her grandfather started the business and all family members are operating. Will try to stop by again when we get a chance to be around Rockford area. Thanks!
Out of food
Stopped in on a trip to Chicago. On arrival was told they were out of most items on the menu. We were hungry and in a hurry so ordered food regardless. While waiting arguments with customers ensued. With the customer leaving without food. We got our food in a timely manner. It was ok. Definitely not the best BBQ I have ever had.
Good Food!!!
I enjoyed my meal that I got from the restaurant. It was on the pricey side but is comparable to like establishments. They did not have all that was on the menu so be prepared to change your order due to unavailability of their items.
Best BBQ in town!
If you have never been... you are missing out! My favorites are the Show Boat, Polish Sausage, and their homemade coleslaw!! So good, my mouth is watering thinking about it!
