Friendly restaurant
We ate here at the recommendation of our local lodge hostess and really enjoyed our meal. The food is traditional Japanese including sukiyaki style dishes. The portion size for all our meals, including one from the kids' menu, were all generous and the food was tasty. The only thing missing for us was an explanation for the slightly cryptic name of the establishment - " Restaurant R ".
Best dinners in goryu
Tucked out of the way but besides the Concrete bunker nightclub / bar this was a lovely place to have dinner. It's also known as restaurant R (English name). The friendly son and his wife are front of house and father is cooking delicious Japanese meals. We thoroughly enjoyed the specials - octopus and wasabi & sashimi tuna. We then had a set meal each. The sukiyaki is delicious. Generous servings with little condiments. Only negative was the nangano red wine was not to my liking. We visited twice and these were the best dinners out of our week in Goryu.
