All the food is fresh and delicious
I was very happy with my meal. Nothing fatty or greasy. All very fresh ingredients. I had the chicken burritto with spinach. There is a very good selection of options. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The real deal!
Gave it a chance on my first cinco de mayo in Somers. The al pastor and shrimp tacos were delicious, far beyond my expectations. The chicken mole tamale was fresh and tasted as if an abuelita had made it that afternoon, scents of nutmeg and ground corn flour emerged from the corn husk wrapping. Yummy:) Will return soon, if the craving calls.
Great food. Sometimes comes with a attitude
We used to go all the time. Twice we went early. Both times we were asked if we had reservations. We didn't. The place was nearly empty both times. Both times we were seated at the bar. The last time I asked why we were seated at the bar instead of a table. The reply was they had a guy playing music outside. I told them I work outside it was hot and I didn't want to hear music I wanted to talk to my family. Both times when we left the tables inside were still empty. Friends Rd. me the same story. We all go to Laguna in mahopac now. Just as authentic and no attitude
Fails to Answer Telephone
I tried several times to call to place an order, the phone rang 8 times and then a voice says " answer off ". Their web site claims they open at noon " 12pm ". I guess they do not want or desire business. They have no sense of customer service.
Not Too Good
The food is edible, but that's it. I certainly wouldn't go there again. There are many other options.
Just okay - had high expectations
Went here for dinner recently. There was only one other table of customers. My first disappointment was that they didn't give complimentary chips and salsa. When I asked about it, after quite a while they brought over 4 fried small full tortillas and a strange green salsa. Much to our dismay, they also charged $3 for it! We ordered one steak quesadilla and two tacos. They should tell you that the tacos are small street tacos, not full size tacos as we expected. Quesadilla was also small and nothing special. Considering there was only one other table, as others have stated, service was very slow.
don't go
we went there as a family. the sangria was good. do not eat the food. the food was below taco bell. the service was slow. i will not go back there again. maybe if was an off day. bad cook but it turned my stomach.
Great Service & Food
Had great mojitos, gucaamoli, burritos and service. They let us stay as long as we wanted talking and enjoying ourselves.
Average at Best
We had dinner here last night and were disappointed. I eat Mexican food often and there are several excellent restaurants in the local area so when I saw an advertisement for Salsa Verde we gave it a try. The place itself was decorated nicely and the wait staff were efficient. Our margarita's had almost no liqueur in them and at $11 each were a ripoff. Salsa and chips which are complimentary at every other restaurant we frequent were not here. The food portions were small and the meat was very sparingly applied. All in all there are far better Mexican restaurants within 10 or 15 minutes of this location.
Great food
Loved it. So great to have a quality Latin restaurant in town. Margaritas are really awesome. Will be back soon.
Best Around!
I love Mexican food! and this place is where it's at. Authentic Mexican real deal The tacos are delicious especially with the house made sauce, their burritos are big and fresh as can be. The serve is good and so are the prices. The flan is house made and soooo good. Drinks are good less ice would make them great. Definitely recommend this place it's worth the trip.
This is not your average Mexican Restaurant
This is the real deal a family working very hard to show you the Real Mexican food. The plate is not loaded with rice and beans but Authentic dishes from the Pueblo area of Mexican. The best Mole I have ever tested !!! Best Guacamole too. Dishes are fresh and made to order,
