If you offer it on your menu, you outta be able to cook it!
We received a very friendly greeting. My meal was decent. However, my husband ordered a mainstay on the menu, Eggplant Parmesan. Its appearance was that it was 'overdone', deep-fried to a shade of brown and so tough you couldn't cut it with a knife, let alone chew it. You should know how to prepare eggplant and cook it properly before offering it to paying diners! Based on this one meal alone, the rating given is poor.
" We're not serving tonight "
Very busy Italian food joint in the center of Morrisville. We were excited to get away from Stowe and come here for a much-needed pasta binge after a day of hiking. Unfortunately, after grabbing the last table (a bicycle bench poorly designed for people in excess of 6'5, situated right next to the refrigerators) and studying the menu, our selections of chicken marsala and spaghetti with meatballs were summarily rebuffed at the counter because, we were told, " we're not serving pasta tonight. " So we went back to our uncomfortable table in the coldest spot of the restaurant and tried to find something halfway healthy. We landed upon a good selection of wraps. Back to the counter we went to order a couple of chicken Caesar wraps only to hear once again, " we're not serving wraps tonight. " We then left. Pizza on Main, if you're not going to serve what's on your menu, then either post something on your web site (which we had checked prior to coming) or a sign inside the restaurant so that customers know right away and don't waste their time. Cherry Wonderdog's time matters, too, and this experience hereby earns you a whopping two stars.
Not what we expected!
Pizza was over cooked and another time under cooked. If I spend 30 dollar's on a pizza why should I cook it when I get home. Very disappointed. Horrible!!! Frozen would be better than this place. Sorry! Save your money and go to House Of Pizza! Great service and awesome food.
More than just great pizza
I've thoroughly enjoyed the pizza since they opened, but never ventured into the rest of the menu - until today. The generous serving of meat lasagna was rich, savory and nicely seasoned with a sauce that was perfectly balanced between tomato-y sweetness and tartness. The only problem is that it will take me even longer to decide what I want to eat!

Horrible Boss, Screw Mike!
Don't go here, or just go to order water, because that order will be right. The owner is a complete and utter delusional person. He's often screaming and yelling at his employees. The plus side of this all is that the food is pretty decent! A lot of the workers seem to know what they're doing and love making / serving food. The owner is a nutcase whose always coming out of nowhere and chewing down on some random piece of food while he screams at someone to do something, mind you he completely screws up several orders and gets all confused when certain things go wrong. Orders are often incorrect because of the Boss, because he always think everything is going seamless when in reality his store's management is completely horse crap. I can't stress enough how much the food is great, because the cooks absolutely do know and sort of love what they do, but the boss tends to run people off of because of negligence. If you're looking for " The Best Pizza In Vermont " that doesn't really exist, and it's certainly not this place. Piecasso is you're best bet. Watch the bill
On the way to our vacation spot we stopped in. I had a small salad with a slice of pizza. My spouse had the buffalo chicken salad, which consisted of a mound of fries and 3 chicken tenders. The food was mediocre. The portions, mediocre. I thought the bill was high so I asked the worker to check it. Sure enough, it was 11.00 too much. This place is ok in a pinch but nothing to write home about.
The Best!
We stopped for lunch and had the soup and sandwich combos. Each trying something different and enjoying it all immensely. The soups are incredible and I am still thinking about the Cream of Mushroom soup!
No delivery
Would have loved to order a pizza and get it delivered by they don't do that anymore. The pizza isn't that great anyways.
Good pizza
We visited and ordered a large plain pie. It was ok in a good way. The restaurant was clean and welcoming.
Good food, noisy place
The food is very fresh and yummy. Imaginative salads and pizzas. I would recommend takeout. It has a sort of cafeteria thing going on, complete with linoleum floor, plastic furniture, and kids running everywhere.
Great Pizza!
Great service and pizza. Visiting nearby Stowe. I was looking for a quick easy dinner our first night here. Pizza on main fit the bill. Great pizza!!!
Buffalo chicken pizza
Pizza by the slice or pie! Delicious buffalo chicken pizza, spicy but not too hot. The crust is thin and cooked to perfection. Delightful workers. 2 pieces of pie and a drink$7.50, what a great deal
Great selection, love the pizza
This is our second visit here. The margherita pizza is so good. I hadn't tried it before when I previously reviewed this place. Large pieces of tomatoes and fresh mozzarella and basil. How can you go wrong?
Surprisingly good
We're usually very traditional in our pizza choices, but they had a pizza called Mo' Maple that had bacon and maple syrup, two of my favorite food groups. We opted for Sicilian, which was their thick crust. THICK! Service was good but not great. The setting was sort of a college cafeteria thing. Decent selection of Vermont beer
Dairy free pizza NOT dairy free
I chose this place based on the reviews and the fact they offered goats cheese as a topping because my husband has a severe intolerance to cow's milk so it's really difficult to find somewhere you can eat out that does pizza he can eat safely. My eggplant parmesan with penne and salad was very good - huge portion and tasty. HOWEVER when you specifically order a pizza with NO DAIRY except goats cheese, you don't expect them to put garlic butter on the base! My husband didn't realise until a couple of hours later when he had his usual reaction to cow's milk of stomach ache and migraine = bad night's sleep and unhappy next couple of days. No-one responded to his complaint on their Facebook page and obviously it's his word against theirs but we would not recommend going there if you cannot tolerate dairy.
Great find
I had a spinach pinwheel, which was burnt black, and a tuna in a pita with a salad. The salad was fresh, the tuna was good, it had small chunks of celery and carrots. Im not sure what the tuna was dressed with because there didnt seem to be any mayonnaise. The pita was more like a large flat bun than a pita. It was very good but a lot heavier than a typical pita pocket. I didnt mind because it was cold out and I was about to go snowshoeing so the calories were welcome. Wish we found this place sooner. I will be returning on my next visit to Vermont

Tried to order take out called over a dozen times no answer. Unprofessional at least have an automated message that states they are no longer taking orders.

Great gluten free pizza! Yummy and staff very friendly and accommodating! Gluten free can be hard to find not here!
Wow pizza!
Wow, excellent pizza, diverse menu and friendly service. Blown away by the eggplant pizza and baked ziti pizza, better than NY! All fresh, even mozzarella sticks were made from scratch. Menu has something for everyone. Highly recommend.
The Good Stuff!
These gals (and concessional guys) seemed to really enjoy what they are doing. That in itself should speak for the management and how the place is run. These folks really love making the food that they produce and further more the ingredients are as authentic as can be. I've been here several times and have never been displeased.
soggy undercooked rushed pizza sold here!
Out of towers from Minnesota staying in Morrisville for a few days, decided to try pizza on main. We got take out and opened the pizza when we got to the hotel to find a white undercooked gooey mess of a pizza. We called back and the girl working blamed it on us for getting takeout.. They shouldn't offer takeout then! Veggies undercooked, meat not even crispy. I would rather have a bland COOKED pizza from dominoes than whatever they have at pizza on main. You can do better!

Absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the trip to Morrisville from Stowe as you will not find better pizza.
Good honest pizza
OK place without with typical pizza parlor decor. Very friendly service. Beer selection limited. Good pizza in several sizes. Of course we ordered a pepperoni with some veggies which was big enough to take some home. A bit pricey for just pizza.
Best Pizza in Vermont
We have had pizza from many places and never have we enjoyed it as much as we did at Pizza on Main! The staff was really friendly, the atmosphere is cute and well maintained, and most importantly-the Pizza was incredibly! A chewy and tasty crust was exactly what we love! This place truly delivered! Must try!

The very best place in town for fresh ingredients, ultra thin crisp crust and an enormous range of offerings to satisfy any taste cravings. Both eat-in and take-out with fast reliable service.
Best meatballs ever!
I grew up in NYC and I've had great Italian food all my life. Pizza On Main is some of the best pizza in the world and the meatballs - SOOOOOOO good! Best meatballs EVER! Can't wait to have them again!

Terrific pizza and the staff is always very nice and friendly - a great community restaurant! Also a great place to bring kids, and the prices are very fair.
Good thin crust pizza
if you want a good slice of pizza for a great value stop here. They have a 2 slice and drink deal for $7 which is plenty of food for any one in a hurry. Ordered a large pie to go real dough, fresh ingredients and great service. Not over priced
Great food - friendly people!
It was our first night in Vermont and we were on a quest. We didn't know what we wanted to eat - we just knew we were hungry! This place looked charming and was very busy (we waited for a table). We placed our order and found a seat, but not before my husband struck up a conversation with the lady at the counter. She offered us some complimentary garlic knots - boom - we are hooked. SO delicious! When our food arrived we were very pleased. The ravioli was great as was the pizza. The food and service make this place so warm and inviting - it's worth a repeat visit to try out other menu items!
Specially pizza place
We were looking for a spot for lunch and decided to give Pizza on Main a try after spying it online. They offer a wide variety of slices with some deluxe combinations as well as a build your own option with all the typical options. Walk in and order at the counter and grab a seat. Our cheeses / sausage / green pepper arrived steaming hot in about 15 minutes and had a nice crispy crust. Flavor-wise I found it a bit bland but luckily they offer shakers of oregano, garlic powder, chili flakes and (on request) Parmesan cheese so I was able to jazz it up a bit. Since we were in the heart of cheese country, I expected something better than the flavorless cheese on top. In fairness perhaps we would have been better off ordering one of the many gourmet slices that they offer that just have to be rewarded. Our small pizza ($16) has about 8 slices and was more than the two of us could finish. Decent but our pie was nothing special.
Average
My expectations were high based on others' reviews and I have to say, it was just average. I found it expensive for a pizza place--Stowe pricing in Morrisville. The staff were friendly. The buffalo wings were okay and my daugher enjoyed the fried ravioli. We also tried the cheese pizza and it was okay. I generally like a thin crust but this tasted kind of weird, hard to explain. In fairness, I'm Jersey born and raised and it's hard to find good pizza now that I live in Vermont, but I've had better elsewhere. I will give them another chance because I would really like them to succeed; it's good to see Main Street trying to make a comeback.
Best pizza in Morrisville
Best pizza around. Light, thin, crispy crust. Very tasty. Great ingredient / gourmet pizza options. Take out was ready in time and piping hot. Mike's Madness pizza was delish!

Not worth a penny
Over priced poor quality not worth the money or the upset stomach. I would of enjoyed eating cardboard more. Also the owner wasn't very nice at all..
This pizza makes me miss NYC
Vermont is lucky to have good pizza, but extremely lucky to have Pizza on Main to call our own. I just had a giant piece of white pizza, dipped in a side of the best sauce I ever had (I drank the leftovers). This place has something for everyone, and the people who work here are so nice. I can no longer drive by without stopping:)
Friendly staff
Visiting area and stopped for Friday night dinner. Many people picking up take-out but we dined in. Enjoyed a meatball sub and a salad that was fresh made and very good. Many varieties of pizza that looked delicious. Order and pay at counter, get bottled / canned beverages from cooler and food is brought to you. Beer and wine available. There were several dinner specials on menu board. Staff was friendly and restaurant was clean. Price was good for portions provided.
Great Pizza in Mo'Vegas
Pretty sure these guys won an award for something like top 5 (10?) pizza in the state.... Anyway the pizza is delicious, an also vouch for the garlic knots. Super kid friendly atmosphere and lots going on to keep kids entertained (including the en plain aire kitchen). Pizza is a bit pricy, but it's delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The best bargain imho is their dough. It's a dollar more than in grocery store, but it makes THE BEST home cooked pizza I've ever had.
Great pizzeria!
I grew up in NYC and I ate A LOT of pizza and meatball subs in my day. I tried the meatball sub, which I use as a benchmark for all pizzerias. The meatballs were just heavenly! Light and perfectly seasoned, smothered with gobs of melty mozzarella on a fresh hot sub roll. I also had a pizza with pepperoni, peppers and onion. The crust was light and crisp and had the perfect amount of saltiness. Just an awesome meal! It was as authentic a NYC pizzeria experience I've had outside of NY, and better than many in NY! Very delicious food! Very lovely staff as well.

love their pizza and crust... friendly service.... they one of the best pizza sauces around... during the summer at oxbow park during concerts they have a spot and the line is long cus the pizza is delicious... a must stop by when in Morrisville.

Open, spacious, attractive restaurant. Greeted by a creative menu composed of unique an adventurous selections. Pleasant staff-prompt service-good taste.

Great slice pizza
Big hot slices of freshly made pizza that I can remember from when I was a kid are still alive and edible here in Morrisville. The slices are quite large, they offer many variations on a basic pizza with lots fo different toppings. Prices are quite reasonable - though not the 25 cents I paid back in the late '50 (slice 15 soda 10) but a very good deal by todays standards.
Yummy
First off the pizza and wings are out of this world, but it is the Staff that really brings it home. They have a great selection of beers as well

What a treat
We'd read a review of this place in Seven Days when it first opened. We decided to give it a try recently and are so glad we did. Great NY pizza, yummy subs... Sizeable portions and friendly service. A nice treat in a little Vermont town.
Loud hard rock music
Pizza on Main has great pizza and friendly staff. But, if you plan on eating in at night, bring your earphones if you don't like loud hard rock music. The music seems to be determined by the cook, who seemed indifferent to our request to lower the volume.
Pizza!
Not your ordinary pizza shop although that is the primary feature. Lots of pastas, sandwiches and other items. A small house salad and a huge slice of pepperoni and sausage pizza with a cold beer was an excellent supper. Super friendly staff is a plus. Two NFL games on the screens. Good prices.
great food
great food at a good price. they had no problem accommodating some food choices. Husband had the meatballs which he said were great. I had penne with chicken with marinara and it was also great. salad was good.
Fantastic Food
This was my first time here and it was absolutely amazing. Most pizza are so greasy they hurt me later well for the first time ever I had a pizza that didn't kill me later. They make such an amazing pizza with awesome flavor and the lady even gave me a set of garlic nots free just being kind. This is my all time new fav. Please come to Phoenix Arizona I will be a regular client we could use an amazing pizza joint down there. The seating atmosphere inside is so peaceful also my friend and I were able to relax while dining without the excess noise. Thank you guys. Keep up the amazing cooking and il see y'all the next time.
New pizza restaurant
We stopped in and was pleasantly surprised at the options available besides pizza. Pasta, Stromboli and wraps. The special pizza slices I had were delicious but you could order the regular types of pizza. 20 " pizzas are available.

We were looking for a good pizza place while staying at Muddy Moose, when we picked up our food, the staff were very nice and the food was excellent!

Awesome, Pizza on Main
This is a great new addition to downtown Morrisville. Pizza on Main serves up delicious pizza with the perfect crust and just the right amount of cheese. We ordered a Buffalo Chicken Pizza to go while we sampled a piece of Barbecue Chicken Pizza. Both were scrumptious! The space is awesome and is adding to the Morrisville restaurant scene which is now booming.
