Spectacular

The shoreline feels very unique, masses of smooth granite rising up towards the sea then falling away into the sea itself. In the dry it is easy walking, but I suspect somewhat tricky if they are wet. Spectacular views

A Nova Scotia must-do

The waves, the rocks and the sun rising over an endless sea... of people! Except for the last bit, this is what you can to Nova Scotia for. The scenery is stunning here and the secret is out, hence the crowds. Get there early before the tour buses roll in or later in the afternoon after they have left for a better experience.

Beautiful scenery

The coast is lined with huge rocks that you can walk on. Sometimes it's quite challenging because the path you chose ends and you have to either climb the rocks or jump down, jump over... or go back and find a more viable path. The walk on the stones is great. You can sit anywhere and look at the ocean, or watch other people walking around and taking pictures. If you're careful, walking on dry, white rocks is quite safe. People also take their children in strollers there, or bring their dogs with them. It is dangerous to step on dark, wet rocks that are closer to the ocean. It happened more than once that someone slipped, fell into the water and drowned. Or unpredictable big wave can splash up over rocks and kick you into the water. Peggy's Cove shoreline is beautiful, very photogenic and definitely worth a walk along it to enjoy this unusual scenery.
